What do you think the age ranges are in HotD? It is very obvious Aemma wasn't eleven when she married or fifteen when she had Rhaenyra. There is no second Great Council and Aemma is visibly pregnant with Rhaenyra so I putting her at 20 and Viserys at 25 making them 35 and 40 in the first episode. I think Daemon is around 3Oish. Alicent is 16/17 to Rhaenyra 14/15.

Alright putting my ages on top and then i’ll kinda ramble a bit haha-

Viserys - like 24ish in flashback, just shy of 40 in the first episode

Aemma - like 19 in flashback, somewhere around 33-34 in the first episode

Daemon - like 25-27 in the first episode

Rhaenyra - lower end of 15

Alicent - lower end of 14

Okay so my read on Aemma and Viserys in that flashback and also their relationship is still that they married really young - i got the impression that they’ve been partners for a very long time, long enough that Aemma feels comfortable putting her foot down with him which still means imo that Aemma got married a bit young (also as kingcunny said a few days ago, i got the feeling that part of why Laena freaks him out but Alicent doesn’t is because all he sees when he looks at Laena is his guilt over killing Aemma, which means they were young when they married too to me). I landed somewhere on her being sixteen and him being like 21-22 ish when they marry, so she’s like 19 in the flashback, and he’s like 25ish, so roughly around the same age as you clocked too. Which then makes him like 40ish when he marries Alicent and like….58ish when he dies?

With Daemon, I kept getting the impression he was like…..still considered a young hot shot but also old enough that his behavior is getting a bit troubling bc it’s not straightening out. And tbh…..Idk if it was just because Matt Smith reads a bit young in general to me but I guess I got the impression that the age difference between him and Viserys was more severe, like young enough that he has more of a “big sister” relationship with Aemma than a “we are both lil rascals” thing they had in book canon (or at least that’s MY read of all of them in book canon, is that up until Rhaenys’ marriage, Gael, Rhaenys, Aemma, Daemon, & Viserys were all kinda running wild in the Keep, and probably Rhaenys was excitedly telling Aemma and Gael that they can visit whenever they want, but don’t miss her too much because she’ll have to move back to the Red Keep after she has a son so she and Aemon can train her son to be king, obviously). Anyways, I clocked him as like 26ish, so quite a bit younger than you. That makes him like almost 30 when he marries Laena, and then like 45-46 when the Dance kicks off. Which, part of why I like him being a bit younger is because he’s around the same age as Viserys is when Viserys started getting really obviously sick (we see his hand fucked up by the time he’s 40, and he’s struggling to get around already by 42-43 when Helaena is about to be born), and I like to think this adds to his general erraticness during the last episode - not just that Viserys is dead, Viserys chose Rhaenyra over him, but now he’s the age Viserys is when he started to decline and he’s got jack shit to show for it, not even Viserys’ love.

For the girls I guess I just…..from the way Alicent dresses, it made me feel she’s only recently ~flowered~ whereas Rhaenyra has been A Maiden for a bit longer. Rhaenyra feels much more aware of her body and beauty, wearing clothes that are cut closer and in a more flattering way (or well, they’re trying haha, some of those cuts were bad) whereas Alicent especially in that introduction scene and her awkwardness at the tourney, made me feel like she’s very new to puberty. Like, Rhaenyra went through her awkward phase, she’s fine, it’s why she thinks so often about how much she doesn’t want to marry, whereas Alicent kinda shot up recently and overnight, and it’s made her more awkward as a result.

tv show recs:

something 2015ish (means 22 episodes, 40ish min log) -> limitless tv show (continuation of the movie), kind of white, mc is manic pixie dreamboy but he wears the coolest sweaters, fun times. i would take that drug.

if you are good with horror and have not watched mike flanagan's stuff id rec it. if you are not good w horror i would still rec haunting of hill house because it is heartwrenchingly beautiful. but ya it has scary points.

i watched mrs davis recently and the tv show is bonkers, but episode 9 pays off bcs the reveal is great. perfect if you are like a person who has worked with code and programming. also there is jesus there and he lowkey hot.

Getting ready to go!

I didn't really mean FALL when we were planning to take a trip! On my way home from work last night, it was dark out and I tripped over.....what appeared to be a metal u-shaped...thing? someone had seemingly permanently put in the ground on the sidewalk out in front of a house? I have no idea what it was and should have taken a picture but...I definitely couldn't see it, and definitely totally ate pavement tripping over it. I tore open my right knee and hand, and banged my left elbow pretty good -- it ripped through my jacket and I had to do a quick last minute repair before we went to sleep last night. Somehow my hand still hurts the most but it'll be okay I think. It cleaned up well, just raw and sore. No photos, you're welcome, haha. And hopefully this is me getting out all the bad luck NOW before we get there!!

Last night we actually slept on the couch so we could get in a little extra time with the babies -- for whatever reason, they refuse to sleep in the bed with us, so we came out to them.

It wasn't a bad night's sleep but we "laid down" around 8:30 or 9pm which is.....quite early for us....so it wasn't like we immediately fell asleep or anything. Mainly, we listened to the podcast Ship Hits The Fan to help us fall asleep, which is an historical podcast about maritime disasters. It maybe doesn't sound like the most relaxing thing to listen to at first, but I swear, it's quite funny and fascinating!

We were up at 5:15, and then it was all the last minute packing and tidying -- toothbrushes, deodorant, whatever. I made a whole pot of coffee thinking we'd have time to drink it but alas. That's what Dunkin Donuts is for I guess! 😅 We said goodbye to the kids (except for Ellie who decided to hide) and were on our way!

(my coworker Elijah doesn't live far from us, so he is going to be stopping in daily to make sure everyone is healthy and happy while we are away, and send us pet updates 💕)

We took the metro to Union Station in DC, and from Union Station, we took the MARC train to Baltimore.

And now, around 8:40ish, we are settled in at our gate, waiting to take off!! When next you hear from us, we'll be in Tokyo!!

Genuine q: post top surgery how did ur clothes fit? asking cuz as another fat trans man i have no fucking clue how it would effect me vs a thin person. Esp as someone who currently has a larger chest. Like would it be a “need to buy a new wardrobe” situation i’m trying to plan ahead

oh man no, as far as i can recall, the fit of my shirts stayed the same post-op (after the tubes came out LOL, you gotta work around those for a while), its definitely not a "whole new wardrobe" type of deal

for reference though, i was a D cup and had been wearing a pretty good binder until i got surgery, and my surgeon had let me know too that he wouldn't go in and take everything because then i'd look unnaturally flat

but also! my top surgery was like 30 or 40ish lbs ago probably, so idk if that would've made a difference or not, but i kinda doubt it

i might see if i can find some pics to add once i get off work to show like how i looked w my binder on vs post-op with a shirt, that may take some digging tho so no promises haha

I wrote 5 oneshots this year, and I marked Chicken Ramen (my large Naruto smut compilation fic) as completed for a few months, but I opened it up again to add a few more chapters from old fics that I'm reworking the smut portions for. So, maybe 5 and a half? Lol 😅

2. I started 7 fics this year and completed 5 of them, which were oneshots!

3. Omg I actually drabbled like crazy this year. I wrote maybe 40ish or so drabbles? At first I kept them strictly 100 words, but then tried 200 and 300 word drabbles. I always kept them as multiple of 100 words though. I posted most of them in either Chicken Ramen or Sweet Treats.

4. I think it was around 95k words 😁

5. Haha, well if we are counting Chicken Ramen, that was just past 100k words when I marked it as complete. And that was my big goal, to have a fic reach 100k words, because I'm super confident I will never do it again 🤣 But I reopened it sooo...if we don't count that my Naru/Saku oneshot, Protein/Creatine was the longest at 3.3k lol 😬

6. Shortest was another Naru/Saku oneshot, I Won't Share You at 888 words.

7. Such a hard question, they're all my babies lol. Maybe the DILF Naruto chapter for Chicken Ramen? I was frothing at the mouth writing that dynamic 😅

8. Lips, Tongue, Teeth...I'm trying to keep each chapter short, dyamic, sexy, and not too repetitive with the overarching theme being oral fixations but yeah...tough lol

9. Maybe not lessons, but maybe two though processes. The first one being "Perfect is the enemy of good." I used to always worry about the quality of my writing to the point where I was reluctant to post it because it wasn't perfect enough for my, but I got over that mentality this year.

And the second one being to just write what I want without caring what others may think. I originally did this back when I got back into writing in 2019, but when I joined communities like the Naruto Fanfiction Discord, I was worried people would find the stuff I write gross and limited some of the stuff I was willing to put out. But at the end of the day I need to be happy and be motivated to write what I want especially if it's stuff I wouldn't see otherwise. So I abandoned bring cringe and embraced being unhinged lol.

10. I want to finish Lips, Tongue, Teeth so badly, it wasn't supposed to take more than a month and it's taking muuuch longer!

Good morning Tumblr friends :> I've had a busy day and it's not even noon for me yet haha Morning rambles and todays goals under the cut

I stayed up fairly late last night after work scanning in more art work, so when I woke up this morning I accidentally fell back asleep for an hour. That wasn't a problem, but my mom called me and jostled me back awake. She had a vet appointment for her pug but couldn't make it due to being called into work, so I did my best to help her out. I accidentally overbooked myself tho bc i completely forgot I had a lesson with my private tutor today. He was understanding tho and we rescheduled for next week.

I sat at my moms house for a bit and did my morning journaling and tarot reading before going to the vet. After his appointment I had to walk hm back to my moms house. It took me 40ish minutes to walk back but I wasn't in a rush and Groot (the pug) has a small stroller he was sitting in so he wasn't hot or anything.

I stopped by the library and requested the books my wife had on reserve and just enjoyed my walk back to my moms house. Here now and relaxing with myself before starting on some of todays goals My tarot reading today was very strong on the idea of new. New people, new opportunities, new worlds. I want to definity lean into that and am looking into ways of getting into new areas of my life today! As for the goals for myself, I plan on working on my toyhouse more and later today I'm helping several friends with things. My most important card today told me to keep in mind how I can help others, so I'm encouraging that where I can. I hope you all have a good day today!! i found (well, I think my cousin spotted it first) a copy of The Outsiders at a thrift store this week and I had to get it because I haven't read it in forever and because my cousin's class was reading it in school before the pandemic and they never finished it?!?! so I got it, thinking that I'd send it home with them, but I accidentally brought it upstairs last night and they left this morning. but I started reading it and got 52 pages in really quickly so I might finish it and then ship it, but also they said they have a really hard time reading lately, because of getting distracted, which is relatable, so I don't want them to feel bad if they don't get to it, but also the chances of ever getting to it are 0 if they don't have it!! so yeah I might finish it and then send it. I think it's super easy to read, I flew through the first 40ish pages in about an hour which is a little faster than most things I read, but I also have read it before and can picture the movie in my head which helps, and have been reading a lot lately. I'm not sure how old I was when I first read it... I think I was still in high school.... possibly late middle school?? idk, but re-reading in my early 30s is WILD and fascinating. I have so many fucking feels. the little bits of foreshadowing, johnnycakes being the gang's pet, ponyboy's complete inability to understand what darry's going through, the internalized misogyny from the author esp in the way she talks about the other greaser girls... I don't remember what happens with darry and pony exactly so I'm excited about that, but I'm excited about all of it. and about watching the movie again afterward haha

Hello hello! Welcome back and I hope university eases up on you soon! Thank you for the kind comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the fic, it was so much fun to write. I do hope to do more for them at some point especially after Kaveh's profile/lore drops, but right now I'm working on getting out the third fic in my Baizhu/Childe/Zhongli series haha.

I did spend a lot of time figuring out where Alhaitham would go for sex research of the places we've been, lol. I probably thought about it TOO much, to be honest. My thoughts:

Mondstadt probably has plenty of naughty content, being as open as it is, likely in poem or novel form for the most part? Liyue probably has more traditional erotic paintings and a few instruction manuals, often in less savory sales stalls off the main street (like under the docks).

Same for Inazuma, though it may not be an art form that's flourished while Inazuma was in the grip of so many decrees. I bet it's about to undergo a renaissance though, with the loosening of restrictions and resumption of imports. And Sumeru...the Akademiya probably has some dry old books on sex from people that have never had it, focusing on anatomy, but I imagine Port Ormos the party town probably had quite the fun knowledge capsules when the Akasha was functioning, haha.

Fontaine is probably about 5 years out from filming the first adult movie. idk about Natlan's current status due to the game's allergy to giving us Natlan lore, but Snezhnayans probably pass dirty mags around the barracks and give each other handies to keep warm. And you KNOW there are a lot of pinups that look suspiciously like the Harbingers, lmao.

You are also correct that I am hella looking forward to Baizhu! He's who I've most looked forward to ever since I met him when I started playing in 1.3. Two years of waiting! I have about 360 wishes saved for next patch and unfortunately I want Nahida, Nilou, Baizhu, AND Kaveh, but the good news is that I'm 40ish into pity on a guarantee right now. I may decide to skip Nilou in favor of going for Baizhu's weapon, we'll see. I refuse to go below 180 pulls before his banner, he WILL come home one way or another.

Good luck on your own Kaveh pulls when the time comes! He looks like a really fun unit and I'm planning on triple crowning him myself b/c babygirl deserves to be treated just as well as Alhaitham even if he's not a 5 star. (Which will make...4 dendro guys triple crowned for me. Send help, I have an addiction.)

To clean myself definitely a shower. And its not weird, totally understand you. I hate seeing the dirty water when taking a bath.. its so weird and I know what you mean by the slimy feeling haha I waste more water cause I take a longer shower after a bath. I do like bubble baths though. But the water has to be like really really hot.

What is a strange habit that you have?

How are you? My day has been okay but cold. The temperature dropped 25 degrees cooler than yesterday. It has been 40ish degree the whole day and raining. right now is 35 degree and it will reach to 24 tonight. it's cold but I love it. :D

well, is not that I'm not good in abandonment or being left alone. If I'm forced to be left alone, I will eventually survive. I meant, I'm scared if the people I love will leave me and I end up alone. This includes romantic partner, families and friends.

Both my mom and my dad ends up having dementia before they died, it wasn't severe but it was significant. U r afraid of ladybugs? I'm not an insect person but i think lady bugs are cute. why are u affaid of them?

Strange habits, I can't really think of them right now but I do know I have quite a few strange habits. The only things I can think of right now is whenever I give someone a hug, my hand always give their back 3 pats. Whenever I eat a burrito, I always open it, eat the inside first and then eat some of the tortilla after that. Whenever I eat sandwiches/burgers, I only eat half of it n then I will eat the rest half of the meat and I'm done. what about u?

I have 2,5 year old daughter. :) are you planning on having kids.
