Ace just slinking up to Sebek's side and saying, "So, you come here often?" Monica and Ruggie hear it and fucking WHEEZE because OF COURSE HE DOES HE WORKS HERE but then their faces fall when they see Sebek twirling his hair, gigglimg because "THAT SHIT FLIRTING WORKED????"

And the ElectraHeart mating ritual. Oh my fucking god.

Ace is holding the first years up from going to the mall because he's smearing his heart and he finally goes out of his room to meet up with them only to be greeted with Riddle. Who sees the smeared heart.

SURPRISINGLY, he does not off his head and just squints at him with the most unimpressed look on his face and forces him to fix it up. Ace is petrified. The first years had to guide him into the car (Jack drives. He does not have a license).

Then, they finally go to the mall. Ruggie spots them, and sees Ace purposefully smearing the heart. He laughs at him. And watches him approach Sebek, holding the red makeup pencil for the heart.

Puts two and two together, and IMMEDIATELY rushes over to Caelus and Aeron. He sits them down and growls out "Listen you two are frankly shit at flirting and I dont like any of you but im giving you ONE CHANCE to score a date with my freshie Zigvolt because no way in HELL am i going to allow Trappola rizzing him up that easy." "...HIS LAST NAME IS ZIGVOLT???" "...dude DID YOU NOT KNOW?"

So here's the thing. Ace calls over Sebek, and they sit between the two stores.

So literally EVERYONE can see them. Caelus was deagged to BW by Ruggie for the talk so he can see it too.

Diasomnia enter the mall, and the first thing they see is Sebek holding up Ace's chin with his hand, leaning in real close to draw the heart on Ace's face. Ace has his eyes closed and has a hand on Sebek's knee to also lean forward.

Sebek touches it up, says that it's finished, and thats when Lilia SCREAMS. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?!??!" Everyone jumps in surprise and Sebek, absolutely scared shitless, turns his head to see Diasomnia 3.

Got this ask I wanted to share, Listen…..what about….Sebek getting a part time job….as some form of training

HE INFLICTS THE TRAINING UPON HIMSELF AND DIASOMNIA HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA ABOUT IT

He hears about Yuu complaining about how their world treats like. Fast food and retail employees and says "their job is literal HELL i dont know how they do it! everyone should treat them with respect" and he's like "HMMM A PERFECT WAY TO TRAIN MYSELF!!!"

So, during winter break, he takes up a job in both a fast food place and a retail store. Alright, hold up right there. Hey. You, the one reading this. Search up "jolibee worker uniform." Yeah. That's right. That's what he's wearing in the fast food place that is unrelated to Jolibee. Yeah.

Everyone in the Not Jolibee thinks he's a PAIN to work with because he does not get how these customers can end your entire career with a single recording. Either he's too loud, or he judges a customer's order, etc.

His boss sets him aside for a bit and goes "customer is always right bla bla bla" and what he doesnt know is that. Sebek treats any higher authority's words as LAW. So his performance suddenly SKYROCKETS and everyone else realizes "oh shit bro he's just a fucking puppy man. a little guy. if a customer starts telling him to refund their order he's going to refund their order now oh shit"

These guys have to work together to make sure that Sebek doesn't fall victim to sleazy customers and Karens. Except Karens have no effect on Sebek because anything they say goes over his head. "I'd like to speak to your manager!!!" "MY MANAGER IS BUSY, BUT I CAN SET UP A TIME AND PLACE FOR YOU!!!"

They get so put off by him that they leave. Everyone cheers. Sebek is now their Karen-repellant.

Anyways, Sebek gets whiplash from working in a retail store because there are NO uniforms to follow after. At best you just have to present yourself nicely. But not a single worker in Twisted Wonderland follows this rule because they just dress the aesthetic of their store. So, naturally, Sebek feels the need to follow after them too.

...did I mention that he works in Not Claires. Yeah, imagine that. Put their aesthetic onto Sebek. Yeah, YEAHHH.

Across from Not Claires is the Scorching Point (Totally not the twst equivalent of Hot Topic), and these two stores have NEVER interacted with each other. In comes Sebek, entering the mall in the most blandest outfit ever. But these retail workers see his stoic face, slicked back hair, and think "Oh. Scorching Point guy. Alright"

Imagine their surprise when he enters Not Claires instead, asking for the job. Someone from Scorching Point faints. Before he actually does any work one of the Not Claires employees suggest that he dress up like them for the appeal and to fit in with the general look of the store. Sebek says that he will.

Everyone has NO expectations for what Sebek is going to wear because bro literally went inside a mall looking like he goes there to window shop for household appliances only for their jaws to drop when he comes in with his hair down and decked out in PASTELS (He asked for help from Riddle who asked for help from Cater because "Sebek what the fuck is a Not Claires what is that"). Sebek had to be FORCED by Cater to style his hair down btw

And the thing is!!! Even if he works at Not Claires he ALWAYS goes over to Scorching Point on and off his shifts. Talks to this specific girl for some reason. Everyone else ignores it. The second week that Sebek's been there, a Scorching Point employee finally walks up to the Not Claires girl who always mans the cashier and asks for her number.

A bridge has been made between the two retail stores, carried by two lesbians and the green haired kid they like to gush about their crush to.

...Diasomnia still has no idea about this.

Ok moc!Dean is good with deaged sambut what about late season 7 Sam finding out he's pregnant and Dean is lost in purgatory. What about Sam going to term with their daughter and being only 3 months pp with her when dean comes back and all dean see's is Sam and a baby and he just KNOWS.

Omg! I have so many questions. Are we talking a/b/o here?? Would Dean have any doubts about the baby? Does this completely change the perceived betrayal of s8 or exacerbate it? Is Amelia still a thing?

Maybe Sam still meets (beta) Amelia, but at the free clinic where Sam has his pregnancy test confirmed? (He'd been in a fugue state of grief over Dean and didn't believe the otc test once he took it.) They form a bond that's more for support and companionship than romance. Then the beginning of s8 basically happens the same way, and Sam and Dean meet at the cabin, but here's this baby cooing from a carrier to break up their embrace--

And Dean's heart clenches with guilt and regret--Sammy was alone the whole pregnancy! Dean should've been there!

Would Dean still be jealous of Amelia? Fuck yes. Would he blame Sam for not looking for him? 🤔 hmm.. idk. Maybe vocally, in the heat of the moment, but I think really he'd be stewing about all the time he missed caring for Sam and their daughter. Not being a proper Alpha. Maybe even guilt about how "pure" purgatory felt. Some dissonance about how time passed there--he doesn't know at first how long he was gone.

(Oh god, dean could be really awful and suggest he's not the father, out of spite over Amelia. Why does my brain do this!!)

Sam's jealousy over Benny would depend on how Dean handles the situation.

Imagine: Dean's guilt over leaving Castiel in purgatory gets completely overshadowed by his guilt over leaving Sam and their child behind. He doesn't want Sam hunting, though, because their child needs a parent, needs safety and stability (and Sam's out of practice), so he ends up hunting more with Benny ~~jealousy ensues.

So Sam finds out about Benny and leaves their daughter with Amelia (ahahahahaaaa crazymaking!!) to go on the next hunt with Dean (Southern Comfort). Instead of Dean being the one overcome with the green ectoplasm, it's Sam, and he says a lot of the bitter thoughts that have been stewing over Benny and Purgatory and Dean putting him on the sidelines just because he had their daughter.

Everything culminates to Dean determined to close the gates to hell through the trials so they can retire and raise their daughter TOGETHER.

So--Dean could actually be the one to do the trials this time and I could explore how that would effect this situation.

BUT ACTUALLY I would still have Sam do the trials. Omgggg the way it would crank up the Winchester Angst exponentially, especially in the handfasting church  scene. Sam's confessions would involve holding anger and jealousy against Dean for being in purgatory and leaving him alone and pregnant.

Jesus imagine they finally make up before the 3rd trial, when Sam is really too weak to take a knot, but he insists on it because he knows the trials will kill him. 💔💔💔

Goddd imagine Dean clutching their daughter to himself as he prays for an angel to save Sam! Jesus fucking Christ. My heart!

Jfc the way this ask made my head spin O.O the way I'm thinking about Sam's chunks of missing time from Zeke/Gadreel in s9 and how that would affect Sam's relationship with their daughter/seeing milestones. Fuck dude.

My Favorite Fics 2020

Alrighty. I read a decent amount of fanfiction this year (mostly thanks to Wizards Hearts/Game of Drarry), and I’m here to list out some of my very favorites. Thank you to all of the creators out there who put so much time, effort, and energy into creating beautiful stories, and here’s to lots of reading in the new year 💜 also, this is in no particular order and all rec notes are from my personal fic tracker spreadsheet (if anyone wants details on how I set up my spreadsheet, etc. please feel free to send an ask!) 💕

1) Change on the Horizon by Static_abyss / @static-abyss [Explicit, 118.6k,]

When things settle down after the war, Harry has trouble figuring out who he’s supposed to be and what’s expected of him. At the same time, Draco finds himself having to decide between what his parents want and what he wants for himself. Together, Harry and Draco embark on a journey to figure out who they are as individuals and what that means for their future together.

A canon AU drarry fic based on the relationship between Mickey and Ian from Shameless.

Hands down one of the best fics I've ever read. Ana did the most amazing job at translating Micky and Ian's relationship to Harry and Draco, although it’s definitely not necessary to know Shameless in order to enjoy the story. The writing is stunning, and I loved every single bit of this

2) I’ll Play Your Game by JayseHasNoGrace [Mature, 52.2k]

After quitting the Auror department at the ripe old age of twenty two, Harry Potter finds a nice, uneventful job in an apothecary. At least, it's uneventful until his old rival Draco Malfoy comes into the shop.

They strike up an unlikely friendship, which evolves into an increasingly convoluted scheme, which then snowballs spectacularly out of control into a tangle of lies and blurred lines.

They'd agreed to a fake relationship — in Harry's case, to get the wizarding world to take him off his 'perfect saviour' pedestal, and in Draco's case, just to be given a chance in wizarding society at all — but neither of them expected just how difficult that might really turn out to be. Especially when the stakes grow ever higher, and they both start falling for each other. Just a little bit.

FAKE DATING!!! Ugh, this was so good. I love the media aspect of it, and the way that everything comes together is just brilliant. A must-read for anyone who loves fake dating!!

3) I Can be Your Lighthouse by orpheous87 / @orpheous87 [Teen, 4k]

When Harry gets called to investigate reports of Dark magic, the last thing he expects to find is an almost unconscious Draco Malfoy. After multiple instances, he resolves to find out what's going on.

inspired by the song The Lighthouse by The Used.

So, so sweet. I love Harry's determination to figure out what's going on. This is such a lovely fic, and I enjoyed every minute of it

4) Freedom to be by Quicksilvermaid / @quicksilvermaid [Explicit, 169.5k]

Harry Potter is the Boy Who Lived.

12 years after the war, he's become the Boy Who Lived For Everyone Else. He has the perfect wife. The perfect house. The perfect job. The perfect friends.

Only nothing feels perfect.

Until one day he stumbles across a club called Release and begins a journey of self-discovery that takes him to a very different place.

This left such an impact on me, and it’s a fic I think about often. I can't even begin to explain how incredible everything about this is.

5) Dear Diary by AWickedMemory (TeddyLaCroix) [Teen, 20.4k]

// This can’t possibly go worse than the last time I kept a diary. //

After the war, Harry picks up a journal to write in… and it writes back. Luckily, it’s not a Horcrux on the other end this time.

Absolutely amazing. The relationship that develops between Harry and Draco as they write to each other was so soft and wonderful, and I would easily read 100k of this!

6) Grounds for Divorce by Tepre [Explicit, 122.2k]

Malfoy finds a coin. Harry finds a letter.

A story about histories, a story about families. A story about a lemon tree somewhere in Upper Egypt.

I loved this. It was so angsty at times, but well worth it. An absolute classic that I’m so pleased to be able to say I’ve read.

7) Nero Su Bianco by Zuzallove [Explicit, 40.5k]

September 1997. Hogwarts is under the regime of Voldemort and the Carrows. Finding himself alienated by both his friends and his supposed enemies, Draco puts quill to parchment, and writes letters. He addresses them to the only person he can think of, as Hogwarts rapidly falls into chaos and ruin: Harry Potter. He goes to great lengths to ensure the letters are never discovered, and he’s pretty certain he’s done a great job.

Until the day of his trial.

The letters were so much fun to read, even though they were heartbreaking at times. I loved Draco’s characterization in this, as well as how his relationship develops with Harry.

8) Thunder by Keyflight790 [Explicit, 21.5k]

The storm will disappear; the rain will subside; but what's left in its wake will last forever. A story of love and loss, redemption and thunder

I really loved how well Draco's addiction was written. I'm not a huge fan of past relationships, but this was done in such a beautiful way. Plus, talking to dragons!!!

9) dirtynumbangelboy by magpie_fngrl [Explicit, 39.4k]

After Harry’s unfortunate encounter with his ex, Draco Malfoy makes him a proposition. Draco wants his parents to stop matchmaking him and Harry wants to make his ex jealous. All they need to do is simply pretend they’re in love. Problem is… Draco already is.

Amazing. This has absolutely sucked me into the world of fake dating. I could ramble about this forever, to be honest. Simply incredible, and I love how snarky their relationship was. It was the epitome of a good Drarry fic.

10) just tell me when it’s alright by M0stlyVoid / @bonesliketambourines [Explicit, 23k]

Harry’s been fighting tooth and nail for any bit of normalcy he can get his hands on. He’s sick of feeling like something’s wrong with him, tired of feeling different. He thinks he’s finally gotten to the root of it, and has settled into a routine that makes him happy. Naturally, that’s when Draco Malfoy walks back into his life and upends it once again. Has Harry bitten off more than he can chew with his former rival?

YES!! I genuinely loved Harry’s clinginess. This fic was absolutely amazing, and the secret dating was lovely. Plus, bi awakening!!

11) When Hippogriffs and Pygmy Puffs Collide by oldenuf2nb [Mature, 32.7k]

Harry Potter bakes cakes, brilliantly. Draco Malfoy inks tattoos, brilliantly. Owls deliver post, including messages from clients, with an occasional lack of brilliance.

I was really surprised at how much I loved this, especially since I’ve not really read many fics with odd jobs. I absolutely adored the fact that Harry was a baker and Draco was a tattoo artist, and the characterizations were absolute perfection

12) You Send Me (Honest You Do) by firethesound [Explicit, 37k]

As far as potion accidents go in general, and deaging incidents go in particular, Draco knew this could have been so much worse. Harry only lost about ten years, and all his memories are still intact. But the sight of him looking as if he’s stepped straight out of Draco’s Hogwarts memories has dredged up a whole mess of complicated feelings Draco thought he’d buried years ago, and Draco really doesn’t know what to do with any of it.

I absolutely adored this, and I thought the de-aging aspect was done is such a tasteful way. Such a good read.

13) Highly (in)Compatible by daisymondays [Teen, 36.8k]

Draco’s been shagging The Prat Who Lived on and off for a few months when his soul mark starts to change. Draco’s had to accept a lot of adjustments to his life, but accepting that Harry Potter could be his soulmate is one step too far. It can’t be true? Can it?

I LOVED THIS! Oh man, that ending!  Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant

14) Kiss the Joy (Until the Sun Rise) by ICMezzo [Mature, 37.8k]

The Room of Requirement was severely damaged in the war, but not so much that it could not provide for one lost student and another young hero—especially when they needed each other most of all.

An amazing, beautiful, tender fic! The ROR has given them the gift of each other, and I honestly love that it's just the two of them and no other characters. An incredible and soft read

15) December Never Felt So Wrong by MaesterChill / @maesterchill [Explicit, 50k]

'Twas the month before Christmas and sixteen year old Draco Malfoy had never felt worse. His attempts to kill Dumbledore were failing and, as usual, Harry Fucking Potter was a constant thorn in his side.

All that suddenly changed when Draco woke up 15 years in the future and discovered that not only was he allegedly shagging Harry Fucking Potter, he also had thinning hair and a five year old son, and no fucking clue how he got there.

Truly brilliant, and I was laughing from the start. The combination of the aging up, Harry’s off-tune singing to Muggle songs, and soft parenthood were all things I immediately fell in love with. Will be reading again and again

16) Catch Me If I Fall by keeli_marie [Explicit, 38.2k]

When Draco Malfoy collides with Harry Potter one morning while dropping the kids off at school, things don’t go quite the way either of them would have expected.

Another absolute gem, and I'm still reeling from how amazing it was. I'm always a bit hesitant with kid fics, but this is one of the best depictions of love between Harry and Draco that I've read. I love how supportive Astoria is. Such a lovely fic  

16) Love Found by Peachpety / @peachpety [Explicit, 7.5k]

During Harry’s sixth year, Draco Malfoy joins the Order as a double-agent and continues with his task to get the Death Eaters into the castle as assigned by Voldemort. Draco succeeds with his mission the evening Harry returns from the caves with Dumbledore. The boys reunite on the Astronomy Tower and, with the Death Eater’s arrival, are forced to engage in a fight, driving Harry to come to terms with his feelings about true friendship and romantic love.

SUCH a good rewrite of the astronomy tower scene. I can’t describe how much I love the pre-existing relationship, which is a trope I typically steer clear from. And the snark!!! Such a good fucking fic

17) Taro Milk Tea with a side of Depression by Veelawings / @veelawings [Mature, 1k]

Draco sat through twenty grievous minutes of Ministry-mandated group therapy for Newly Registered Magical Beings & Creatures — then promptly stormed out.

Okay, I loved this. The play format was so cool and fit the narration so well. Absolute perfection and SO. GOOD.

18) The Dragon At The Bottom Of The Garden by Zopno [Explicit, 52.3k]

At 25 Harry Potter's life was simple; he flew, sculpted, and had the vault in the back of his mind to keep all unpleasant business. It was stable, but when Draco Malfoy literally hit him with a giant rock; all that changed.

I loved the storyline, especially Animagus bird Harry!! This was such a unique take on an Animagus and post-war fic, and I loved reading it so much   

19) Exposure by GallaPlacidia [Mature, 26.9k]

When Seamus uncovers Draco Malfoy's camboy profile, he, Harry and Ron decide to anonymously book a private show so as to humiliate him later. Fascinated by Draco's confidence, Harry keeps booking private shows under the disguise...

Self prompt: Draco is a camboy. Harry betrays him.

I can't give this enough praise. The hurt of it all was so brilliant. A new favorite for sure

20) you've got the antidote for me by Kandakicksass [Mature, 20.7k]

When Harry Potter unintentionally severs their soulbond before it can fully form, Draco Malfoy resigns himself to a slow death and decides not to burden Harry with a soulmate he's made it very clear he doesn't want.

He's never been selfless before, but for Harry, he can try.

Fuck. Like...fuck. This was so sad and angsty and perfect in all the right ways. Watching everything unfold was so painful but so worth it. Another new favorite

21) A Room Up There (And You In It) by thestarryknight [Teen, 59.2k]

When Preservationist Draco Malfoy was assigned to work on Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place, he was excited to delve into the gorgeous Black family antiques. His excitement quickly ended when something in the House decided it did not like his presence one bit. Featuring a grumpy antiques lover who most certainly did not sign up for this, encounters with a vengeful apparition, and a healthy application of Christmas spirit.

Absolutely fucking fantastic. This fic reads intimacy all over, despite there being no sex. I love preservationist Draco and the way in which information about Harry unfolds. I can’t say enough how much I loved this advent fic, and Starry did such a great job

And now for three fics that I have yet to read/need to emotionally prepare myself for:

1) Modern Love by Tackytiger / @tackytigerfic [Explicit, 61.2k]

Harry Potter, of all people, knows that life isn’t always fair. And no one gets to be happy all of the time. But surely there’s something more—something better—than a rubbish Ministry job, and a lonely old house, and that feeling that everyone out there is doing a better job of living than Harry is.

And it really doesn’t seem fair that Draco Malfoy is back in Harry’s life, all of a sudden, and even though he’s wandless, and living with Muggles, and making his mother cry with his lifestyle choices, he’s happy. So what's he doing right, that Harry isn’t?

Because things don’t really change, do they? And if Harry can’t be happy, he’ll settle for a good night’s sleep, some posh antiques, and the opportunity to find out what Malfoy has been up to for all these years.

And that’s what starts it all.

2) Dragons Don't Know Paradise by  tainara_black / @teacup-tai [Explicit, 50.9k]

In 2004, when Remus spends two scary weeks in the ITU due to complications of pneumonia and his HIV condition, Sirius walks around the house like a ghost and Harry finds comfort and strength in Draco through a chat in an online LGBT forum. Harry falls for him, but Draco has a lot of secrets and, before long, will need to come clean—even if he believes that no one is able to understand a dragon.

This is a story about falling in love online and about facing the reality of death, but above all, this is a story about hope, finding love and acceptance. (Non-magical / bookshop AU, written for the 25 days of Drarry 2020)

3) Aeternus Solem by onbeinganangel / @onbeinganangel [Explicit, 36.9k]

On December 1st, Harry Potter gets sent halfway across the world to attempt to break a possibly fatal curse on an unnamed British Unspeakable — except said Unspeakable is not unnamed at all and Harry has been in love with him for over four years.

For one: whenever the concept of the Nohrians meeting the young trio comes up, my first thoughts are 1) Inigo being cripplingly shy and terrified of Xander 2) Severa being Extremely Unreasonable and Aggressive especially toward Camilla and 3) Owain gravitating toward Elise because she's reminiscent of his mother, because he's a mama's boy who probably lost his mom very recently and that's pretty fucked up!!

That being said, I'm screaming at the idea of Owain gravitating toward Elise because mother, Xander because cool sword, and Camilla because cool armor, and Not Trusting Leo because he's a Dark Mage and Dark Mage Means Plegia Means Grima Means Evil (almost always) and Leo being so upset about it. It turns the tables entirely, where Odin was originally the one who thought both Leo and Niles were so cool and they thought he was a weirdo idiot until he proved himself, now he thinks they're creepy and Evil and have to work for his trust. And I will always love the Nohrians realizing the trio were Fucked Up Kids and the idea of them watching the three of them take down a faceless with Brutal efficiency because of how much more dangerous Risen were...I'm so into this. AND!! The trio fucking hating each other!! They're so used to them being Best Friends and Inseparable and understanding each other on a whole different wavelength. And now? Sev and Inigo aren't very kind toward Owain's dramatics, Sev and Owain are Bothered by Inigo's flirtations, and Severa is just so harsh with both of them (and most people). Of all the people they could be stuck with, they would Not choose each other. I'm rambling but I'm so into it I'm so so into it. One of the previous asks you linked spoke a lot about Inigo, but if you could talk a bit more about Severa and Owain? Especially if their adult selves were involved with their lieges and partner retainers and how different the dynamic is now and the way they each react when realizing the trio went through something so clearly screwed up and beyond even what they've seen

(prev ask) Ayyy, glad you got a kick out of all of that, lol. And yes!! Leo Trio origins reversed!! With Niles and Leo being the ones who have to prove themselves to Owain instead of the other way around. And the Trio not getting along!! They're 100% there to save each other when they think they're in mortal danger, but as soon as they realize they're not in Plegia? Don't touch me, don't breath on me, don't look in my direction, any of you. Owain & Inigo can't be alone in a room together or else they'll scuffle, Severa stomps away whenever Inigo tries to compliment her, nobody wants to talk to Owain, etc.

Also sure! I spoke a lot about Inigo in that last ask because I wanted to be clear about what I meant with the shyness thing, but for Severa & Owain...

I don't know if they would have been in romance with their lieges before this! I obviously ship the royals & their retainers, but I don't ever see the appeal of that dynamic in deaging fics? I get the idea of like "oh, this is a new side of my partner I've never seen before," but the deaging part is such a huge part of the plot that I don't really see the benefit to that dynamic in these types of fics.

But just in general! The friendship/platonic shift!

I mentioned before about Camilla trying to dote on little Severa but struggling because Severa rejects her So Hard, lol. In general she'd want to dote on Severa because of her personality and how Severa is a tiny version of her beloved retainer, but the more it becomes clear that Severa has issues (especially re: family, which is a major reason Camilla feels the need to dote on Corrin), the more she wants to spend time with her and make some happy memories with her. Which makes Severa's rejection of this attention even stronger bc who the hell are you to presume you know her? And also you're not her big sister/mom/whoever.

Eventually, I almost feel like Camilla would?? I don't want to say "give up," but eventually you're going to get more flies with honey than vinegar. By which I mean the less Camilla tries to push the relationship, the more open Severa might be to spending time with her. But I'm not sure Camilla would get to this point within the timeframe of the Trio being deaged! I think this would take many days or perhaps even weeks to figure out. If the Trio return to normal before this, I think Camilla might feel different (Hard to say how... maybe guilty??) about the way her Selena dotes on her and wants her attention all the time vs little Severa rejecting her. But!! If the Trio stay deaged for a while and Camilla learns to stop pushing the relationship, Severa may slowly grow to approach Camilla on her own and may then be open to being doted upon once they understand each other more (bc she canonically wants all the foods and fun stuff Camilla is offering; she just wants it from someone she trusts. And primarily from her parents ((see: awakening supports w/ parents)), but they're not here).

tl;dr Camilla would have to go against her doting instincts if she wanted Severa to get comfortable with her. Otherwise Severa would avoid her/take advantage of the things Camilla is offering while not wanting to be near her very much.

Re: Beruka!

Unlike Camilla, who has a lot of sad and sympathetic feelings for Severa, Beruka really leaves feelings out of it. Which is probably to her benefit in this scenario, as she's approaching Severa's trauma's from a logical (perhaps even detachedly relatable) standpoint rather than sympathetic. She's more direct than Camilla, so Severa might be a little more comfortable with her, just because she knows what to expect.

Severa, for her part, may even seek Beruka out once she knows they're partners because (1) she wants to know what sort of person her future partner is and (2) she wants to prove that she's the better retainer than Beruka. Which of course she can't do because (a) Beruka would never compare them like that, nor Camilla and (b) Severa is younger, more hotheaded, and less skilled than her older self, so anything she tries to prove now, she'll probably fail at and will blame on her older self having more experience. This competetive spirit may start as an inferiority complex thing, but with Beruka never really fanning the flames, Severa may eventually calm down about it and just feel more driven to get better on her own/respect Beruka as her partner (sort of like her Cynthia Supports in Awakening, though a little different).

Leo & Owain, I already talked about. Owain will immediately take note of the fact that Leo & Niles are his future lord & partner, which he is very curious about, but once Xander, Camilla, & the other very cool people with melee weapons come into the picture, he's very drawn to them, which makes Leo jealous, lol. Leo dedicates himself to "solving" the deaging issue, using this as an excuse so he doesn't have to spend time around Owain and get compared to his "cooler" siblings. HOWEVER, joke's on him bc the fact he's avoiding Owain means Owain doesn't get the chance to quiz him even more and tell him about how cool Brynhilder is. When this finally happens, Leo feels incredibly foolish for trying to show off for Owain & avoid him in turns. Owain, meanwhile, may or may not have ever picked upon on the fact Leo was feeling weird about him at all (although he will admit he felt nervous around Leo at first bc Pelgian Mage Memories and had to take time to get over that).

Niles is a little hard to consider because I actually think?? He'd be good with young/immature folk when he's genuinely trying to be? (See: Niles's interactions with Elise & Nina). However, he can also be quite cruel to people who don't really deserve it (See: Mozu C & B supports) despite having a motto of only insulting "people who deserve it," (Peri Support). So!! I think Niles's interactions with Owain ultimately come down to how well he respects Odin/how good their relationship was. If they were besties when Odin gets deaged, then I don't think Niles will purposely try to make Owain feel bad, though a lot of what he says with metaphors & double meanings will probably go over Owain's head anyway. I also don't know if he'd purposely go digging for information or not?? Depending on how much he feels asking would be a betrayal to Odin's trust vs his own curiosity and all the hints Owain doesn't realize not to drop?? I think Owain would really determine what Niles does or doesn't learn about him. They have the potential to have a really good talk where Owain talks about his parents' deaths and the struggles he & the kids are going through and Niels talking about his own life on the streets. (BTW, despite Owain literally going through a war & both parent death, I think he might think Niles has the worse situation bc he's never known parental love at all, which baffles Niles).

Similar to Leo, I think Owain would be really cautious around Niles at first, both because he's an intimidating sort and because he takes cues from how everyone acts around Niles too. But!! Also just like Leo, if his future self trusted them, obviously that means something, right? So he'd approach Niles a bit more after a few days of settling in.

Niles & Owain's interactions are really hard to imagine because they depend on so many factors that I haven't decided upon! But hopefully the other ones make sense, lol

88 😅 i started posting fanfic Sep 30 2023. 87 works since then whoopsies (but theres a few wips in there)

2. What's your total A03 word count? 473,304...woof. i posted ~150k in november alone. i didnt actively participate in nano this year but figured i get an honorary win for that lmao

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Linked Universe! In high school I wrote Rise of the Guardians and Danny Phantom fic. These days its strictly Linked Universe cuz it scratches my brain just right

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

The Traveler's Landing - this was going to be part of a quick series of one off Wolfie reveals. It's just a silly goofy time ft Twilight stealing Hyrule's shoes and Legend going "it's on sight".

Puppysitting - which is funny bc i almost never posted this one. I am v careful when it comes to deage fics bc i think they can go very wrong very fast. it started as a silly thing and then ended up having some of my fav character bits!

Sacred Shadows - Twilight meets the chain. More like the chain meets Wolfie. Short fic left open ended. hc for wolfie being seen as a forest spirit.

Riverside R&R - one of those fluff wips lmao fluff is not my strong suit so i have to be in a mood to work on these longer fluff pieces. this is probably the goofiest thing ive written.

The Truth Hangs - based on a lovely piece of canine poetry. This one was super fun to write. everyone except wind and wild are horrible to twi for 40k words bc dink is a bastard.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes!!!!!! i love comments. theyre my drug of choice. i love waking up to new comments, i love when people engage with my work, i love making fandom friends <3 i feel so humbled when i get comments and it gives me warm fuzzies. i write for myself but it makes me so unbelievably happy that others enjoy my dumb ramblings

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

what a question! uuuuh....probably The Purple Door bc its a permanent injury fic and the emotional hurt is left open ended. i do try to give my works satisfying endings which usually ends on a slightly more positive note than the rest of the story. purple door is one that leaves what-ifs abound.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

this is a toughie. I think it's between Warriors' Last Straw which is just Sibling Rivalry the Fic or Ordonian Rams bc it ends with normal chain activities. a lot of my stuff is bittersweet so even my happy endings have a bit of melancholy.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

nope! everyone has been lovely so far. its so fun being able to debate hc's and discuss different interps and be able to respect each other. and a lot of the comments i get are so thoughtful and amazing and i feel like such a little punk when i get compliments and engagement like that.

9. Do you write smut?

yes actually! though i dont post it on my mains for obvs reasons XD im actually ace (i think???) so the smut i do write is usually on request or commission.

10. Do you write crossovers?

nope! i am already so nervous about fucking up the current property i write for that i wont even attempt that lmao

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

i have not! even if i did idk that i'd be that mad about it. annoyed sure but imitation is flattery or smth. besides if there are younger (by younger i mean new) writers out there that take bits and pieces for their own stories, i dont take issue with that. god knows i was more than derivative when i first started writing

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope! idk how big the LU fandom is and even then, if i wanted to i could translate my own work into (probably very formal) spanish or french. its the formatting that would get me and i would have to do some homework for a lot of the language i use. english has a lot of non translatable words at the end of the day. i wouldnt call myself fluent in either spanish or french so i would not have the wordcraft for it.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

no but when i was 12 my friend and i co wrote a pretty terrible story about a monster hunter named Nova. it got dramatic by ch 3 as all tween angst writings do XD i still have a copy of it!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

hard question hard question but its probably gotta be Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan from The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. so sweet, so precious. screaming crying as i read those books and watched the adaptations.

fandom specific, im a dedicate ilia/link shipper. i used to be anti midlink bc i think them having a platonic ship is so rich and interesting, but ive come around on the idea. twilight princess wise i am not a zelink person at all and i dont like that ship personally but i dont yuck yums

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

fanfic wise, its gotta be Honeydew. i like this idea a lot but i do not plot and ive gotten a little lost with it. it started as a silly concept and i just dont know where to go with it next. plus fluff is something i struggle with.

oc wise that would be Cieran Murphy's Arm which is a horror murder mystery about a vampire and a burgeoning psychic trying to hunt it.

16. What are your writing strengths?

character work. dialogue, i like to think, and disagreements. i like to think im super good at making characters motivated even if their actions are disagreeable.

i also like to think im okay at action/horror writing since thats mostly what i cut my teeth on. my writing style has changed a lot since i first started writing and i think how it is now is really conducive to sharp, quick punches.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

prose :( really its description and being flowery. im a bit of a minimalist. form follows function and all that. im pretty terrible at setting scenery in a way that feels like anything more than just set dressing

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i love it! i have a few different methods for it bc i love fucking with the meta of my work. so a lot of times i will straight up just write it in the other language without anything other than context clues for the reader to figure out what was said unless they know the language themselves.

other times, i use dialogue tags to indicate it was said in another language.

18 as of a few days ago!

2. What's your total A03 word count?

60,763! Which is. Only a fraction of the word count in my Docs folder. Be prepared.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I mainly write for The Legend of Zelda; specifically Linked Universe! In fact, that's all that's posted on my Ao3 currently, since my fall into that fandom began with me uploading there! Pre-Ao3 I wrote for Black Cat (Anime/Manga), Megaman NT Warrior, various Pokémon things, Assassin's Creed, Yugioh, Final Fantasy XIV and Octopath Traveler! Some of these I still write privately, but I haven't gotten around to re-posting any.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Whistling on Deaf Ears - My longest fic on Ao3, focusing on Wild and Twilight's friendship and how good intentions can lead to disaster.

Iconoclasm - Warriors deals with the room full of portraits in Cia's palace. The Chain also deals with it, but with a bit more fire.

Deserving - Twilight finally tells Rusl that he was the wolf in the village during TP, but that also means dealing with some heavier topics. Colin half overhears them and forms his own conclusions.

Something Greater - The start of the "Hyrule can see magical auras" series! In this one we deal with Legend and his many rings.

Ocean Magic - Mermaid Legend and Zora Time have a race and then fight one of the Big Octos from WW! Fun times.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Every single one!! I love comments, they give me an excuse to ramble about my fic more!! I am always down to ramble about every single insignificant detail of any line and/or section. If you ever want more background info about one of my fics, look to the comments! So please, I adore comments, I treat them like treasures, not responding to them would be a CRIME.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

There's no contest; Inevitable, my (so far) only MCD fic.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Hmmm, that's hard to quantify. I usually try to end fics on a hopeful note regardless. I'd say possibly either Deserving, where Twilight reconnects with his family, or Shimmering Blue, Striking White, where Time meets the Fierce Deity settled down on Satori Mountain and they both get closure.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, no! I've been blessed with mostly amazing and patient readers, even when my upload schedule isn't the best.

9. Do you write smut?

No, not really. I've attempted it, but I'm too asexual for it lol

10. Do you write crossovers?

Very, very rarely. Mostly privately, and only very specific ones. Only a single one has had an actual plot, so far (more on that one in question 15!).

Also a nope! I tend to write for smaller fandoms, where these things don't tend to happen a lot!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have! But it's been a while. Over a decade, in fact! I tried to find the fic to link it here, but it was on the German fanfic website fanfiktion.de, and my friend who posted it back then must have deactivated her account, because it's nowhere to be seen (I still have the Word file though!). It was a Multi-Crossover that started as an RP in a forum, and we took turns turning the RP into prose one chapter each. "If a Hero Turns to Dark" was its title. We were edgy teenagers.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Hissssss. Bad question. Shoo. They are all equally important!! But it's probably TenRose from Doctor Who.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

One of the very few crossovers I've ever worked on; a crossover fic between Assassin's Creed and Doctor Who, that I have mapped out in both chronological and timeline order, and yes, those are different. I only ever wrote about a quarter of it, since my primary audience of it disappeared when we graduated. I doubt I'll ever pick it back up properly, and if I do it'll probably go through heavy rewrites first since it's so old. Finishing it is a nice thought, but realistically, after 9 years it'll never be high priority enough for it to actually happen.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, especially arguments, and emotional impact. I've been told I do really well making characters feel alive and believable! Also I like to believe I'm decent at setting a scene and giving it the vibe I want it to have!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle with dialogue tags when nothing much is happening besides the talking. I always feel it's too bland, and fall back on the same phrases. My scene transitions could use some work too.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done this with Japanese phrases, because I was a massive weeb. Usually I followed them up with their own translations, though; I'm not the biggest fan of footnote translations, unless they are properly linked to. Simple dialogue tags are my favourite way of indicating a language switch.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Black Cat the Manga/Anime! It's a series about an assassin turned bounty hunter trying to live a life separate from his murdery past, but getting dragged back into things by still wanting to avenge his best friend's death. The series has a special place in my heart and my bookshelf, it left an imprint on 13-year-old me that will never leave.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Probably Jailbreak, uncharacteristically enough! It's one of the only fics I never got stuck in once. Writing it was a great feeling from start to finish. I love writing all of my fics, but that was a special few days.

Hair Dye Buddies: Chapter 3

Learning the basics with his new quirk took to him instantly as he used ways he'd used to watch their father train Shoto with his quirks. The snow felt so calm under his fingertips, the naturality of it far better than the fire that he was born with.

By the end of the class, several snowmen and snow angels had been made and he was very proud with his quick advancement. Everyone seemed happy with his quirk and it made him so eager to please them.

"Tomorrow's training will be more fighting with quirks. I need to get you all ready for the upcoming licensing exam." Aizawa told them on their walk back to class. "Yes, you will be included, Touya. I've spoken to Nezu and all you'll need to do is catch yourself up in your studies and your quirk training, which should be no problem given you take to things so easily. Though yours would be temporary." Aizawa told him.

"This doesn't mean you all will be hurrying to spar with each other tonight, I will put you in detention if you do. Touya, you're allowed to tinker around with your quirk under teacher supervision if you want since, even if you've taken hold of it quickly, it's still brand new to you." Aizawa told him.

Of course, Sir." He nodded, trailing with Shoto.

"So you're officially a UA student, Touya." He was giddy, he'd always wanted to attend UA but father forced him into a no-name school with barely any accountability for their students and had even listed him under their mother's maiden name to keep him away.

"How are Fuyumi and Natsuo?" Touya asked abruptly. Shoto looked bewildered at the sudden conversation shift. Then he realized it might be because Shoto was never allowed around them. He might not know their names, even.

"Sorry, I know you're not even that close to them, us three were so clumped together and you were so much later we never actually bonded together as siblings or anything and you were probably forced away once I was gone so you probably never even knew them." Touya sighed.

"Actually, we're pretty close now. I guess we all realized losing you meant we needed to stick together as much as possible. We even have a group chat without dad. We call it the Endeavor Hate Chat." Shoto smiled and Touya laughed.

"Oh, now you have to show me how much you bash the old man. How old's he now, 45, 46?"

"46. Just turned it like two months ago." Touya gave a chuckle.

"Wow, talk about the timing of that stupid deaging. It's the same time in the year too. I'm starting to think someone put a spell on me like Sleeping Beauty. Come back the same age five years later to torment my little brother." Touya teased.

"I'm not so little anymore. I'm a week older than you." Shoto teased back.

"Oh come on, it's not by much!" Touya exclaimed, getting the class to snicker at their petty argument of age.

"Anyway, how are Natsu and Yumi? You never answered." Touya reminded him.

"Well, Fuyumi's a kindergarten teacher's aid, she's got a secret girlfriend or two and a secret boyfriend too. That woman is pulling too many people at this point. I really have tried to get her to talk to a therapist about her mommy and daddy issues but it isn't really working as you can tell. Natsuo is in college still, becoming a nurse. He has a husband now, they eloped not this summer but the summer before. He's really happy. Both are doing okay. Yumi says she wants kids in the future still and I'm hoping Dad doesn't latch onto it and try to pick her a husband or something to keep 'good quirks' in the family."

Touya smiled knowing his now-older siblings were happy in life. It was all he'd hoped they'd get when he was younger, he couldn't believe they got their happy endings despite his lack of involvement.

"Me, though, I'm going to be a hero just to save people. Unlike his goals for me, I want to be a hero that's a good person as well as a good hero so he won't be giving me the title of Number One, he'll be handing his mantle to part of the next generation he didn't make, likely. And he has a rude awakening if he thinks he'll get his grandchildren to succeed him." Shoto smiled deviously.

"Why?" Touya asked.

"Because he doesn't know I'm gay yet and I won't be giving him biological grandchildren. I plan to adopt kids in need instead. The only children he'll have are Fuyumi's and yours." Shoto proudly stated.

"You say this like I'm not gay too. I'm not having kids." Touya cackled.

"Yumi's got a whole next family generation on her hands then. All the boys can now wipe their hands clean of the reproduction process." Shoto was trying hard not to laugh, so was Touya.

"I ain't never seen four straight siblings. Always three of 'em gotta be gay." Midoriya announced, bursting the whole class into laughter besides the grape-looking gremlin.

"Ew, gays!" The juice gremlin exclaimed, interrupting everyone's fun.

"Shut the fuck up, Mineta." Aizawa instructed the grape gremlin.

"Yes, sir." Mineta agreed.

"I'm glad you ended up bonding with them. I remember being so worried when you were born because the three of us had each other and you were five years younger than us. I was always worried you'd never bond with us."

"Well, you guys were triplets. It's a different bond, I guess." Shoto sighed. "I just know that they were devastated when they heard you disappeared. We all thought you'd run away because the old man never said anything about kicking you out. We thought you'd died on the streets. You have a tombstone in Mom's garden still." Shoto told him.

"They always did joke about burying me in the yard." Touya laughed.

"I'm so glad you get another chance at life. Once we're able to tell Natsuo and Fuyumi, they'll be overjoyed." Shoto butted his shoulder with his own.

"I hope they'll be happy." Touya smiled a bit.

The day was easy after that. He wasn't all that behind in his studies, even excelled a English. During a hero lesson, he got sent to Recovery Girl, who tried to figure out the quirk that caused this and how it worked.

They'd ultimately ended up that this was more than likely permanent now that things had changed from how his life had originally went, especially once he told her of Ryuu and the quirk change. Then she forcefully healed the cuts and burns on his hands and arms from Ryuu and sent him back to class for Math.

The school day was over before he knew it and he was following Bakugou back to the dorms and he went to his own room, it was still bare, just a bed and a desk and a television set up in the corner.

"Hey, Cotton Candy, we're going out, you wanna come?" Bakugou asked.

"I'd be in my school uniform. Aren't we not supposed to wear them when we're not on campus?" He asked.

"We're the same size, just take some clothes. Mina wants to go clothes shopping anyway." Bakugou told him.

"Okay, but I don't have any money." Touya reminded him.

"IcyHot already agreed to let you take your dad's credit card. We're buying you clothes whether you like it or not." Bakugou told him, shoving some clothes at him and he fumbled a second but held them while Bakugou closed his door. "Get dressed! We're leaving in like twenty minutes once Pikachu does his makeup."

Touya was grateful Bakugou had handed him black jeans with cuts on the knees and a baggy black sweater with a skull on it, the comfort of it was astronomical. He put back on the black boots he'd shown up to UA in last night and headed out to Mina in the men's hallway, wolf whistling at him and Sero laughing telling him he fit right in.

"Question, does anyone have a mask I can borrow? My immune system is pretty weak, I got a lot of the weaker genetics in the family so I get sick pretty easy."

"Yeah, man, Shoji has a ton of extra masks." Sero told him. Kirishima was already knocking on Shoji's door for him.

"Hey, man, can Touya borrow a mask, his immune system sucks and we're taking him out shopping."

"Sure, I have some smaller ones my sister sent me a while back that don't fit me." Shoji rummaged a moment and then handed Kirishima a few masks with Halloween themed patterns on them. "Have fun out in the world, Touya." Shoji reminded him.

"I will, thank you, Shoji!" Touya smiled brightly at him as he put on the black mask with the orange and yellow jack'o'lantern pattern.

Being handed Endeavor's credit card by Shoto and told to go wild at the mall was like a fever dream when he used to have to ask and beg for months for new things and then he was made to work himself to the bone for it.

Sooo, how're we feeling about angst and/or hc in the toddler aus? Because given how young the Zhang family starts training its kids, there's a good chance Fo Ye and/or Rishan have been started on that already and don't understand why they're not having those lessons. And I can definitely see both Ba Ye and/or Yatou depending on whether Ba Ye is also deaged or not going all silent MURDER 🗡 over it when they realise what Fo Ye or Rishan are expecting.

@unexpected-nightview I am calling you over as proof that for once, I wasn’t the gremlin who started the angst train! I was perfectly happy just keeping it mostly cute and happy.

That being said, yes definitely this is a thing that happens T^T

I am very torn as to which scenario I’d prefer tho.

1. Ba Ye was completely unaware of how much the Zhang family wasn’t kid-friendly and child!Fo Ye asks him when they’re supposed to train or something similar. Rishan has to explain to him in the end, not because Ba Ye couldn’t figure out for himself but because he can’t believe the conclusion he’s come to on his own.

It’s the first time Rishan sees Ba Ye really get angry. And the first time that the anger is directed at him. It’s not for long, barely a second during which Ba Ye makes it very clear that won’t ever be welcomed in his home again if he even thinks of making Fo Ye train. But it’s a terrifying second.

Rishan should maybe feel insulted that Ba Ye would think him capable of something like that, but he is after all a Zhang. It’s a safe assumption to make on his part. It’s not like he told Ba Ye the real reason he came to him in the first place was because he wanted to make sure not to fuck things up even more for Fo Ye and didn’t trust himself considering his own experiences.

(When Ba Ye calms down later, he realises that Rishan also had to live through all this. And of course he realises that this is actually why he asked Ba Ye for help with their friend turned into a kid. His heart aches for him, but he knows Rishan wouldn’t particularly appreciate an apology now. So instead he makes sure to include him in as many playtime with Fo Ye as possible and try to give him a little part of what he never had either)

2. Maybe Ba Ye has already figured that being a kid in the Zhang family wasn’t all roses, but he hadn’t realise exactly to what extent yet until he’s confronted to child!Rishan attempting to train on his own and Fo Ye not quite sure how to make him play instead.

Because even if Fo Ye had never really thought about his own experiences as a child in a negative light, seeing a tiny Rishan so serious and completely ignorant about what fun is supposed to mean is breaking his heart.

He of course turns to Ba Ye for help because a) he won’t tease Fo Ye for not knowing how children play and b) he also cares deeply about Rishan and knows him best. Sure Rishan as a kid isn’t the same as Rishan as an adult, but if anyone can teach Rishan how to play, it’s going to be Ba Ye.

(Ba Ye helps of course. He doesn’t say anything because it’s obvious Fo Ye doesn’t want to talk about it. But if you let Ba Ye alone in a room with one of Fo Ye or Rishan’s teacher, close family to them or not, Ba Ye would be the only one leaving that room alive.)

3. They’re all kids. Yatou lets them figure what game they want to play since they all seem to have adopted each other as siblings.

It becomes very obvious that Rishan and Fo Ye do not know how to play. Or that what they think is playing is instead training. And that some of it is kind of dangerous.

Ba Ye is too young to understand but Yatou has to carefully hide her anger behind a sweet smile when he comes to her and tugs gently on her clothes and asks her if she can help him teach them games. To Ba Ye’s childish mind, this is a problem easily solved. To Yatou, it explains so much about the two men they’ve grown into and she vows that no matter how long they stay children, she’ll do everything in her power to let them have the childhood they deserve.

Catching-up talk, maybe. Chatting while drinking coffee or eating ice cream at some fancy outdoor patio. Definitely fumbling around for an explanation about him developing a Quirk pretty much out of nowhere.

However, his expectations were turned upside down, because apparently, his father isn’t what he seems, and Izuku doesn’t know what to expect anymore.

What Izuku knows is that the appearance of Midoriya Hisashi triggers a domino effect that sends his whole world toppling down. And honestly, being accused of turning around and becoming a villain is just a bonus. When have life ever passed the chance to fuck him over, anyway?

thoughts: this is, hands down, my favorite fic of the week. i was completely blown away by the sheer concept of the fic. it’s so interesting, and such an original take on “villain” (in a loose sense) Hisashi that i won’t spoil, but it makes for an interesting and tense read. please read this. i absolutely lost it reading this fic.

Those words had not been used to disparage Shouji’s appearance. Rather, they most certainly came from a place of sympathy. Shouji had a hard time believing they were evidence of the villain’s hypocrisy, but a reflection of his own loneliness. So even though he was a hero student on the opposite path, he’d made a vow back then. And even though it had been years ago, he swore he would see it through.

thoughts: oh, shouji is so underappreciated and this fic is a great look into his character and his thoughts! i really enjoyed it. [contains heroes: rising spoilers]

- Gracie is only eight and a half minutes older than her, but Tessa sometimes feels like Gracie is years older

- She regrets quitting the vaults because she feels like she and Gracie are different people now

- Tessa still blames herself for Gracie's curse. She can't remember the incident, but her wand was two inches from her hand when she woke up and she had no injuries besides the concussion that she thinks is just from falling, so she believes she failed her sister

- Tessa desperately wants her sister's approval and doesn't realize just how much her sister loves her

- She wishes she could do something to protect Gracie for a change

- They were super close as kids and grew apart in the later school years

- All Tessa wants to do most of the time is latch onto Gracie and never let her go into danger again

Older Brother: Vance Riley Chiva

- Vance always favored Gracie

- Tessa never payed the kid much attention when they were younger, but after he started Hogwarts she took him under her wing a lot

- Aiden comes to her for advice when he has his first crush, when he's nervous about a test, or simply needs a hug. Tessa gets to be a big sister and she loves it

- She's way closer to Aiden than Gracie is, and Aiden isn't hesitant to tell Tessa that he likes her far better. It makes her feel good

- Tessa loves her mother, but she doesn't agree with her on a lot of things

- When Tessa is in her coma in seventh year, she hears her mother go insane (it's what wakes her up) and realizes just how much Clarissa loves her

- They met in first year (obviously, they're in the same house), but Tessa never paid him any attention

- It was only in second year when she and Liz were allowed to start getting early lessons from Kettleburn that she started noticing him

- Barnaby was a character during these early lessons

- He hadn't actually signed up for them, but he heard Liz talk about them and just assumed they were open to anyone

- Kettleburn didn't care obviously, he's a bit unstable anyway

- Barnaby would always carry the heavy stuff and Tessa's raging puberty hormones took one look at the muscles and said "heyyyyyyyyy"

- Then of course she actually started talking to him, and dear fucking god was he dumb. But then she talked to him more and he actually wasn't? He was kinda smart in a weird way? And really really nice?

- She never told him she liked him, and by the end of the year he was starting to slip under Merula's control

- Tessa was the one to try and get him to think for himself in year three. She's also the one who dueled him, and she lost miserably, but she stood back up whenever he knocked her down and he admired that. A few weeks later, he asked her out to Hogsmeade

- Gracie was pissed but Tessa didn't care that much

- They were a super cute couple and all of Slytherin (besides her dorm mates) shipped them so hard

- They ended up growing apart in fourth year and deciding they're better off as friends

Love Interest: River Mund

- As of sixth year, they are not together, though it's pretty obvious they both fancy each other

- River is an exchange student from Ilvermorny who arrives the same day as Alanza. Tessa is made to be their tour guide, and while showing them around she can't help but notice that this (very handsome) new boy seems really stressed out. She assumes it's from being so far from home and tries to be encouraging, but he doesn't say a single word the entire time

- River ends up staying in the Slytherin dorms, and Tessa watches him all the time (just out of curiosity of course). He almost never talks to anyone, and is very jumpy when someone gets too close

- After about a month of this, Tessa decides to sit down at the same table as him while doing homework. He seems almost scared of her, but after a week it becomes normal, and she hears his voice for the first time when he asks her for help on his CoMC essay. Another week, and when River packs up his things to go to the dorms, he leaves her a folded up piece of parchment containing a poem he wrote about her

- Tessa starts noticing how often River sneaks into the Forbidden Forest, and gets curious enough to follow him. This is how she discovers he's a vampire - a rarer subspecies theorized to be stemmed from partial vampire breeding together

- River is horrified and thinks she'll hate him since he hates himself. He wasn't born a vampire. His family illegally paid a vampire to break into the hospital and change him to save him from cancer without any input from him. It's why he wanted to come to Hogwarts, to get away from them

- Tessa is scared, obviously, but she tries her best not to show it because he had just started to open up and she didn't want to lose the progress they had been making. When she tells him she's not scared of him River doesn't look like he believes her, but he's so relieved she's trying that he hugs her

- They very quickly become much closer after that, and Tessa realizes that she might be in too deep when she shoves her wrist in his face for him to drink from when he weakly confesses he hasn't had any blood in two weeks without a second thought

- He buys her the ring during January. He claims it's for being such a good friend, but Tessa hopes it's because he likes her (they're both so oblivious)

- They'll get together in seventh year over Christmas break. They both stay behind at the school, and end up confessing while sitting in front of the fire in the Slytheirn common room

Best Friend: Liz Tuttle

- Tessa and Liz met in first year, the first night in the dorms

- Liz, being her awkward self, asked slightly too loudly if anyone wanted to discuss the Fwooper

- Tessa did indeed want to discuss the Fwooper

- Boom, best friends

- Tessa tries being vegan like Liz but can't take it, and reverts to being vegetarian. She's not exactly good at that either, but she never eats meat in front of Liz (at home is fair game)

- She and Liz spend a lot of their free time outside, sneaking into the forest even

- On an assignment from Kettleburn, they accidentally discover the Room of Requirement and now spend free time during bad weather in there

- Liz constantly reassures her that she's not a bad sister for stepping back from the vaults

Rival: Skye Parkin

- They may have been teammates, but Tessa and Skye HATED each other. It really threw off the team dynamics for a while

“No idea,” Aizawa said honestly,huddling down deeper into the coils of his capture weapon as theyturned the corner, pausing to scan for civilians. “My guess is thevillain intended to revert you to a child-like form in order tooverpower you, but their attack didn’t fully land.”

“Thanks to you, I’m told!”

“Mm,” he said, disinterested. Hefelt the energy of the man behind him finally, finally flag. He senta small, bitter prayer up to a god he didn’t really believe in.

And that was all, for a while, becauseit had to be. Aizawa walked a little faster, less concerned withreaching their destination than putting a little more distancebetween himself and the stupidly beautiful, perfect specimen of a manfollowing him with unflinching trust and far too many personalquestions.

This was not a good situation forAizawa. At all.

This was actually much more thanleading a (technically injured) ally away from the scene of a battleand into safe custody, because Aizawa really, really didn’t need theholy grail of protective masculinity and his violent gay awakeningincarnate standing there and making curious, flirtatious eyes at himevery time they stopped for a cross-walk signal. Especially when heand the actual Yagi, the troublesome scarecrow of a man he had toldnot to go running off to a random PIN notification from downtown whenthere were a whole squad of responders available to deal with it,were barely on speaking terms.

Yagi had not listened and Aizawa hadbeen forced to follow and deal with the aftermath. All Might, now atwenty-something demi-god, was also the only one of the bunch fromthe melee who had escaped the particular villain’s Quirk with theirlanguage skills intact, so Aizawa mollified himself that he wasn’tcarrying an eerily grinning toddler back to UA. Although, with asbaffled and helpless as young, amnesiac All Might currently was, itwasn’t hard to imagine.

“You look cold,” the idiotcommented as they passed another open restaurant door and Aizawainstinctively paused a minute by the heat streaming out. Pricked, thehomeroom teacher kept moving.

“I’m not,” Aizawa lied, even as hisstiff fingers were shoved in his armpits. He had run out without ajacket to respond to the situation at Nedzu’s request and the fastestway to travel was via his capture weapon, which left him wind-raw andchilled to his bones in this weather. He was fucking miserable andhad been for half an hour.

“You should walk closer to me. Idon’t mind,” All Might added earnestly, giving a short, sunny laughand, god forbid, walking a little faster. Drawing a little closer, tomake his point. “People tell me I’m like a portable heater! It’s areal help in mountain rescues. Do you go to the mountains at all?”

Rather than simply refusing him like anadult male, or telling him off like he would one of his kids, Aizawahissed at All Might.

He did. He hissed, like a corneredanimal. It started as a snort but then his teeth just locked in thecold and he hissed and just kept walking, and that’s when the pricklestarted in his cheeks. Spreading. Reddening. Engulfing.

“Did you just …” All Mightuttered faintly, stunned.

Aizawa was almost running now, like anidiot, although the hero’s long, liquid strides hardly registered thedifference in pace.

“Hurry up,” he grit out, nearlyrunning blind for all the snow clotting his eyelashes. “We’realmost to the meeting point.”

“If you’re willing to be carried for a second, I could, ah, jump us there –”

“I said, move. With yourfeet.”

God, what was he even fucking saying?

When they arrived in the designatedcourtyard, All Might’s famous persistence made one last appearance,apparently just for reputation’s sake. As Aizawa took shelterunderneath an awning, trying not to shiver too obviously as theywaited for their UA contact to meet them, All Might came to a haltbeside him. It was a respectable distance, he would grant the manthat, but Aizawa made the mistake of reflexively glancing up: meetinghis eyes, All Might grinned down at him as if from out of a magazinespread fifteen years ago, golden and handsome and utterly,breathtakingly shy.

For that moment, he was fourteen again,trying to parse the hot, squirming sensation rising in his belly ashe looked at a luxurious full-page magazine spread of a recliningshirtless hero who, logically, should have just inspired his heroicvalues. Aizawa gulped, one breath away from panicking.

“I really appreciate you helping mein that fight, even if I can’t remember it. It’s been quite a day,but I wanted to say … thank you.”

“Yeah,” he said, just to stop him,but it didn’t work.

“And just because we don’t know eachother doesn’t mean we … ah, can’t,” All Might said quietly, oneenormous hand to his neck. His breath plumed out of his chappedmouth, somehow majestic, and Aizawa’s poor frozen body shook just imagining howdeliciously warm his lips would be. “I don’t really know where Iam, or what’s going on, but … I know that I’d like to see youagain. Is that … okay?”

His brain, Aizawa’s entire fuckingbrain, had to reboot. If he wasn’t bright, scalding red before, hewas now, and he was also not doing this.

“If you’re at UA for now, I’ll bearound,” Aizawa muttered once he unstuck his throat, staying firmlybehind the curtain of his snow-crusted hair so this young paragon ofsex appeal couldn’t see his miserable flush. Suffering, dying withravenous resurrected teenaged lust, he added mentally, everytime you turn the corner.

He would most certainly be taking hisfive years of stored-up vacation days this week, and every week afteruntil Yagi, scarecrow Yagi, was back and no longer quite the assaulton his libido. He wasn’t bad, but mostly he wasn’t this. Thiswas awful.

The two heroes stood silently togetherunder the awning and, to all extents, that was it. Aizawa had madeit: he’d managed it and pulled it off, not giving his surrealchildhood crush the barest of hints that such a violent attractioneven existed, boiling underneath his skin. He could even blame anyredness on the snow.

“Hey, hey, hey! What’s the news,dudes? Nedzu said we’ve got a situation on our paws, here!”

Enter: Yamada “Present Fuckhead Mic”Hizashi, perpetual fretter, professional life-ruiner,somehow-still-best-friend.

“Ahhh! Shouta what the hell, did youforget your hat again? It’s snowing!”

It was half situational anxiety andhalf muscle memory that Aizawa stiffened on the spot as Hizashi ranup to them, already scolding him about his winter wear or lackthereof. After a bit of digging in his saddle bag, his best friendunearthed a hat and immediately shoved it on his head. In winter,Hizashi always carried a hat for the very rare circumstance that itwas cold enough to merit messing up his hair, and possibly becauseShouta never carried one. It was like together, they made onefunctional, fully-dressed adult.

That would have been fine, well withinthe kinds of abuse Aizawa was accustomed to, if his friend hadn’ttugged the hat down over his eyes like a jackass and smashed hisburning cheeks in his hands and just kept going.

“Look at you, you’re all red!Christmas red! Yannoe, I keep telling you but with your blood type,you really shouldn’t –“

He growled, tried to shove him off, butthen his best friend’s eyes focused like lime-green scanners,dangerously sharp behind his glasses and for just a second Aizawaremembered that he wasn’t actually a dumbass.

“Wait just a minute.”

“Hizashi,” he hissed,growl-screamed, little more than a desperate gurgle in his throat.

“Are you blushing? Holy smokes,you’re blushing!” he crowed, letting him to only to punch him onthe arm and grin in his face. “You never blush! You see someonecute on the way back, or what? You cruisin’ on the job, yascalliwag?”

“Fucking – Hi-za-shi!”

It was only then, with Aizawaphysically paralyzed by the sheer amount of blood in his face andstaring knives through the so-called hero, that Hizashi actuallyglimpsed beyond the man he’d dedicated his life to humiliating andsaw.

“Oh my god,” Hizashi said, agape.“We do have a situation.”

“It seems we do,” came the chucklefrom behind him.

Steeling himself, blood sitting heavyin his neck and cheeks, Aizawa turned to see the Symbol of Peacestanding tall behind them … looking not at the loud, awfulnewcomer, but square at Aizawa with a knowing glint in his eye and aroguish grin. That kind of look that said someone knew they were hot.Very hot, and it made a kind of sense to Aizawa’s broken,blood-deprived brain: the heat coming off his sculpted, latex-slickedbody was so intense, it felt like spring just standing next to him.

As he watched, All Might reached up andbrushed a fuzzy layer of snow from his stupid hair, making sure togratuitously flex his bicep on the way up and cock his hip like aporn star.

Aizawa gulped audibly. He was utterlyfucked. And that was before Nedzu appointed him as All Might’sofficial nanny for the next two weeks and the de-aging didn’t exactlygo to plan.

So Bakugou and Todoroki's hero names didn't get decided early on I think because they're each gonna get their own little mini arcs that get em to decide them, but I kinda wanted to know your opinion on what they might end up being? 'Course they'll probably be derived from future plot that we don't know right now, but I wanted to ask anyway!

So I have no clue, honest, but as far as Bakugou goes I’ll keep on holding onto Ground Zero until Horikoshi officially and unequivocally tells me he 100% definitely scrapped it, my friend - it’s such a cool name??? I read it and I nearly cried when I realized that probably it’s not gonna be his actual hero name rip

Monoma’s great tho!!!! I mean. He’s an asshole. And a total disaster. And his inferiority complex is a seriously huge thing. But he’s great!!!!!!!!!! That’s an amazing pick as a fave character t b h I think we’re getting more of him (together with the whole 1B class) in the manga soon, so don’t despair too much about the lack of content just yet haha

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

Jubilation Lee has been many different things from a young mutant in the X-Men (and later at the Massachusetts Academy in Gen X) to depowered mutant trying to find her way (as a tech-empowered field leader Wondra of the vigilante group New Warriors) to young vampire single mom trying to figure out how to adult and vampire and X-Men all at the same time. Recently (in RP) she has joined a new group of Avengers called Avengers International and her X-gene has reactivated, causing some hiccups with her vampirism.

Points of interest:

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Jubilee doesn’t quite look human anymore. Her eyes are a little too blue, her skin is a little too pale and smooth (old scars aside), her ears and canine teeth are a little pointed. But it’s probably nothing. Her eyes absolutely didn’t just flash a dangerous shade of red at you.

SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT: Physical appearances aside there’s something that just isn’t right about her. She seems normal enough, cheery even when she’s with friends but people can’t seem to shake that little feeling that maybe they should be worried about her. Like one would feel if they were being hunted by a predator in the woods. It’s probably nothing. 

HOLY CRAP HYPERSENSES: Jubilee’s senses are extremely keen, on par with Logan’s at the very least. As a vampire, all of Jubilee’s senses are heightened beyond superhuman capability. She can hear individual heartbeats in a building, identify someone by scent, sense changes in a person’s physiology. She can literally smell fear. If there is something about your character (not human for example or powered individual) that you think her hyper senses should be able to pick up, please let me know. The comics have been pretty inconsistent with this ability of hers but it’s kind of an important vampire mythos and I keep it firmly intact here at all times.

THE EYES HAVE IT: Jubilee’s eyes are blue when her vampiric features aren’t in play (and really blue when her mutant powers are in play, like glowing blue, a side effect that developed when they came back). Already an unusual feature in their own right, they seem a bit more intense than they should. When her vampiric features are in play, they generally tend to be red irises that glow a bit. When she’s mad or in attack mode they can shift between red and black, fully red, and fully black depending on how mad she is and how much her vampiric nature is in control.

FANGS FOR THE MEMORIES: Jubilee’s canine teeth are a little pointier than most. But in more advanced vampiric forms they can range from the top and bottom canine fangs (getting as long as 3 inches long) up to twelve fangs with the incisors and molars on either side of her canines also grow sharp.

COMICS HEAVY FOCUS: While I have other verses I love exploring, I do take heavily from the comics and that means everything. I don’t pick and choose certain parts from Jubilee’s history (though I’ve corrected the stupid deaging shit, she is permanently stuck as an 18-year-old physically but is currently 25 years of age). I also have some very heavy headcanons that factor into this blog. I have been developing my take on Jubilee for almost 5 years now so I am very fond of how she’s come along.

What they’ve been up to recently:

FIRE IN THE SKY: Jubilee has recently been trying to reconcile who she was with who she’s become. Her mutant powers returning (after a nasty stint as the horseman of death) have thrown her for a loop. Not only does Jubilee have to relearn self-control with her powers (the vampirism acted as a booster to her X-Gene) Jubilee had her vampiric thirst pretty much managed but now she has to take in more “juice” to keep her battery going thanks to the added powers. It’s been problematic.

GLASS PEOPLE: Canonically speaking, Jubilee’s killer instinct is worse than both Logan’s and Laura’s. That is to say, it’s really mcfreaking bad. She’s had a sure fire way to take care of it in the past, a method shown to her by the Forgiven. The only problem is, her method of quelling that instinct and finding peace in herself is no longer an option. She’s been trying to ignore it but it keeps scratching at her head and she’s feeling extra sensitive to everything around her. While looking for alternative ways to keep it in check (and yes, she’s tried the Danger Room, thank you for the suggestion) she’s been having these awful nightmares that may or may not be connected where she’s surrounded by glass people with all their veins on display. The sleep deprivation from avoiding the nightmares has NOT been helping. 

GENERATION X: Jubilee, mother, X-Man, teacher? Who thought this was a good idea? Jubilee is in charge of the students who don’t quite fit the mold to become the next X-Men and definitely should not be ambassadors for mutantkind. So Jubilee’s gotta teach them the best thing she can. Survival.

FRIENDSHIPS: Jubilee loves making friends okay? Come be her friend. Come be her bestest friend. Let her take you to the mall. Talk Blondie with her. Let her show you her totally not hipster at all vinyl collection. Let her talk fashion and art with you. And also let her platonically snuggle you because she is a snuggle bug.

CONFLICT: Jubilee is really opinionated. Politically, musically, fashionably. Like she’s got an opinion on everything and she’ll tell you exactly what it is. There’s also some people she’s just not going to like and as great as friends are, I love conflict just as much. We can’t be sunshine and roses all the time. Let’s be frenemies, enemies, I don’t care. Let’s agree to not agree to disagree. Fite me.

Offered interactions:

COMPANION: Jubilee is totes magotes down to be a partner in (fighting) crime. Or in shopping. Or in chewing out some fucking asshole. Girl is always dtf (down to fight).

COUNSELOR/MENTOR: Having worked as a school counselor and helping around the school, Jubilee is always willing to listen to your problems and give you advice. Even if it’s advice she doesn’t follow herself. She’s also great to mentor younger heroes. Come, let the wolf mama adopt you.

SHELTER: Jubilee is a little more willing to shelter you if you’re going through a time because she’s been there. She knows what it’s like and she’s a little more forgiving in times like this. So let her host you somewhere for the night if you need it. 

ENEMY: FITE ME.
