I don't have a screenshot of it, but someone a couple of months back was absolutely ripping the young bucks to shreds essay style for making being evps part of their on screen characters, saying they should've never done it, and kept kayfabe and real life separated. Like.....bro. when have the bucks ever had a separation there? And also, everyone knows it anyways, so when it wasn't a part of their characters, everyone said they were booking themselves to win anyways. Like, the bucks have discourse nearly as bad as cm punk does. I have feelings about this lmfao

Oh god that's hard. Probably just people being willfully ignorant of character development that isn't just thrust in their faces. There are subtleties.

Is it too unsurprising if I say world titles? Like don't get me wrong, I love a good top of the company pinnacle as much as the next person, but like, it doesn't actually mean they're a great wrestler or even have good matches? So like? World titles I guess?

3) What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Ohhhhhhh boy okay. I - okay. I have my pet favorites. Forever After You Will Be My Home is probably the biggest undertaking of writing, especially fic, I have ever written. It's nearly 300k of plot, involving an obscene amount of research, focus, and time. I was writing up to 80k a month for this fic. In wrestlefandom, I think Jurassic Sanctuary is up there'. It's a batshit crazy concept, but I worked my ass off and had SO much fun with it. Also Matt Experiments.

18) . What’s one of your favorite lines you’ve written in a fic?

GAH. What a question. Okay. Hmm. I am going to go for a recent line, because I found myself getting very overly wrapped up in the question. Going for my most recent fics!

It's less of a line, but a short passage? It's what took my attention first:

Seth looks at Roman, to see something shattered. Roman looks almost old, the grief of the night stealing years away from the edges of his eyes. “All this,” he says, and he’s crying. Roman Reigns is crying. “All this for him.” Seth fears for a split second that this is the moment he dies. And then Roman steps away. “I hope he gives you what you never found in me.”

I'm debating the definition of unreliable narrators with my friends and I think that natasha pulley characters just aren't the best examples of them. The two main parts of being an unreliable narrator are 1) their perception of reality is wrong 2) they are withholding information that would significantly change the reader's perception of them.

I'm not going to comment on Thaniel because I don't really remember much about watchmaker honestly, but I feel that there is a case to be made somewhere. As for Merrick, I really do not think there's anything about him that's unreliable. He withholds the reason his leg was injured, but that's just an important piece of backstory that doesn't tell you anything new about the kind of person he is. Other people can pitch in their opinions on these two guys.

Like the @onaa-ohokthen said, Joe would be an unreliable narrator if he actually remembers more than he lets on, but the narrative doesn't quite give any indication that he does. His perception of events is pretty objective as well.

I think Valery is unreliable because he withholds information about what he did at the prison. That information explicitly alters your perception of his character into someone who actually can emotionally manipulate people and commit crimes in line with his personal moral compass. He's not necessarily unreliable for perceiving emotional cues incorrectly because that's a result of his autism, trauma, and profoundly low self-esteem. You can easily tell what is actually true about other characters' perceptions of him, although you can also say those reasons don't matter because he is literally wrong about everything, in which case that's another reason why he's unreliable.

In the end I think there are far clearer examples of unreliable narration to be found in other books, like someone who is paranoid and sees everyone as their enemy, a character who withholds information about themselves to portray themselves in a more positive light, or a psychological thriller protagonist who misremembers the events of their life in a way that influences the narrative and completely misleads the reader. Or a guy who hallucinates heartbeat noises

a book that is close to your heart The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh. The vibes are exquisite and as soon as I finished the book I reread it (reread as in where I jump around to different passages and essentially reread it) OK I KNOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE 1 BOOK but I have to mention The Wicker King by K. Ancrum. Bridge to Terabithia on steroids fr, it's such an experience. maybe i shouldve saved this for the acid trip question but whatever I have more answers to that question anyway

3. a standalone you wish was part of a series Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar. The ending is just too inconclusive. Also all of the Natasha Pulley standalones

It was a little surprising to see Will Ospreay do so poorly. I hate him, but I thought others thought he was hot in a cocky bastard sort of way. I was not surprised to see Dalton Castle score nearly 70%. The man is a delight in every way.

I had to block someone for threatening violence in the tags for a poll recently. It hasn't been much of an issue, but I ask again: please please please don't threaten violence against others even as a joke. Yes, wrestling is a violent sport and we all talk about how hot it is when they bleed all over, but it's distressing to see threats in my notifications. Please get passionate (the aggressive lobbying for Nick Jackson has made my week!) but keep it friendly.
