Pausing the shenanigans for a moment, can we maybe do away with the narrative that Kendrick Lamar is purely just “a hater”? I know it’s hard for white people especially to see the Black struggle and our lives as something other than entertainment for your Sunday nights, but let’s not forget Kendrick directly criticized Drake for using African American culture especially for a cash grab, without actually giving back to the communities who loved and supported him for so long.
