Kinda wanna see like a part 2 of the little angst you did between MK and Macaque a while ago. It's so interesting and I wanna see Macaque's reaction in your art style. (You don't have to of course, it's just a suggestion [idk if i spelled that right])

#I’m sure there are some character nuances im forgetting but well 🤷🏽#I want their misunderstanding or whatever they have going on between then come to a head. literally just going ‘wait what’#for me I think it’s entirely possible that there was an actual fight and maybe tension leading up to that point #cause I feel like macaque is not just bitter about thinking he died to wukong but maybe some stuff that built up to that #maybe the fight was just the breaking point. maybe they’re idiots who don’t talk about it because they think they’re on the same page idk #chipper-smol wrote a cool theory abt them using macaques ‘you’re nothing’ line in s4ep1. from what I understand it could be a direct parall #parallel to when he said that to MK right before MK regained his nerve and hit macaque in the eye.. since flying bark foreshadowed monkey mk #waaaay back in season 1 (where his shadow is his monkey form in the opening) i think that could be deliberate #and they could have gotten billy to voice an entirely different line for that scene. but they reused his line from s3 #in a very specific scene with wukongs narrative foil. hm #that aside I would have liked to hear billy voice the ‘you abandoned me’ line that would have killed me. but that’s just me lol #also looking at this I should have shaded the last frame to make it look more dramatic and serious but I ran out of time :(#if anything I want to see MK try and help them get back together. poor kid tries so hard to understand people so I think it would be cool to #see that happen. that’s what I like about him.. he asked macaque why he was working for LBD instead of accusing him of dooming everyone bc #he wants to and he tried to comfort spider queen by admitting he was scared of LBD too 😭😭#my art #myart #Lego Monkie kid #lmk #Monkie kid #lmk spoilers #Lego Monkie kid spoilers #lmk macaque #six eared macaque #lmk sun wukong #lmk swk #lmk MK #lmk xiaotian #lmk season 4 #Lego Monkie kid s4

#everyone always bangs on about Lolita but IMO it's mid compared to some of his other work #Pale Fire was a banger #Ada might genuinely be one of the best things ever written in the English language #IMO anyway #books #used to date a girl whose fave book was Lolita and mine was Ada #I thought this said something very important about our personalities because Ada has a happy ending #Whereas the protagonist of Lolita literally dies of a broken heart in the opening pages #also he's a nonce #press G to pay disrespects

#Marvel #Marvel comics #Marvel 616 #Vengeance of the Moon Knight #Vengeance of the Moon Knight 2024 #Vengeance of the Moon Knight vol. 3 #latest release #Moon Knight #Soldier #that opening page is breath-taking (and perhaps in a literal sense for that dude getting whaled on)#/almost/ succeeded in distracting me from Soldier’s raging survivor’s guilt #but…oof #what really gets me about this issue (and I guess Soldier’s character in general) is how adamant he is about his willingness to die #and yet he continues to live #he didn’t get blown up in his introductory issue he got turned into a vampire and now he’s seemingly outlived Marc #it seems to be asking the question «yeah sure you’ll die for me but will you keep on living to continue my mission?»#which already gets me in the gut but also seems particularly impactful when it’s coming from Marc #considering how much he consistently felt like a dead man walking haunted by his past and alive only to somehow atone for that past #and I very much look forward to coming back to this issue if it’s ever revealed if this new Moon Knight is really Marc come back wrong #because Soldier spends so much of this issue insisting that the Moon Knight he would die for is dead #and it would make that first page wonderfully/terribly ironic #just the concept of the man you feel you should have died for still living but twisted into something unrecognizably despicable #maybe to the point where the man he was is functionally dead #that would be wild

i have updated my stupid game, and gone in without mods... and jesus fucking christ the full screen pop up ads for the stupid new pack.

EA i really don't want to be sold death. I have just experienced that shit IRL. It's expensive enough.

Halloween decor isn't bothering me, people with skeletons in their yards isn't bothering me. I'm going to add the packs name to my tumblr filtering so I'll be fine here. But fucking hell opening this game and being advertised all this death shit sucks. like really sucks.

Ok so like. Just to be clear, saying you know "loneliness you don't" to someone who has also experienced loneliness, but in a different context, and then apologizing the next day: bad. infuriating. terrible. unforgiveable.

Asking someone repeatedly, in a group and then alone, if perhaps the people who murdered them in the street solely because of their connection to you might be in the right: totally cool. not even worth remarking upon. not a red flag.

oh my god i'm so mad i spent a week troubleshooting this imaging that wasn't working because the microscope company says you have to use their proprietary dyes, called "red" and "orange". and i just could not see "orange" on my scope no matter what i did so there was no point taking samples over to the fancy scope and making someone else help me set it up bc i wouldn't get any good images anyway. this persisted even after i ordered new dye and swapped which targets i was dying with it which makes absolutely no sense

i've just figured it out

in life sciences microscopy "orange" and "red" have standardized meanings for which filter/laser stimulation goes with them. orange is in the 530-550nm range. red is in the 590s. above about 600 is "far red". every single company in existence agrees on this

except this company. their "orange" is 590. their "red" is 650. orange has not been working because i have been looking in the "orange" channel for the signal, when i should have been looking in the "red" channel, because their orange dye is red. and their red dye is far red. you know. obviously

#on the one hand i actually should have caught this. on the other hand one coworker who's used these before listened to me say #'so you could definitely see the orange dye using the orange/gold filter' and said 'yes definitely'#and another LOOKED UP THE DYE SPECTRA FOR ME and then said 'yeah no that should be showing up in orange range!'#so the naming on this thing is so powerful that it has apparently overriden multiple people's ability to process written and spoken words #and why wouldn't it. there's a known color that's orange. we all know about orange. orange is known to us.#im going to lose my fucking mind.#if you click through enough pages they eventually helpfully explain that their orange dye is 594. just like. other orange dyes.#i was told MULTIPLE TIMES that it's a cy3 filter dye. meaning orange. but it's not!!! it's red! it's just red! i'm going to lie down and di #box opener
