Dr Ron Repice WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?? 1) Whole Body Cryotherapy 2) "Local / Localized" Cryo 3) Nitrogen for Cooling vs Electric In this video, Dr Ron will explain some of the variations that are out there in the marketplace when it comes to the technology known as cryotherapy. There is some obvious confusion in terminology and a crossover use of the language regards to Whole Body Cryo vs "Local / Localized" Cryo. Here at Rejuvenations, for the past 5 years have focused on the nitrogen-based open Style cryotherapy unit. These units are often called cryo-chambers and or cryo saunas but the clear distinction is that the style we have is open at the top and so there is no claustrophobia and a client does not breathe in extreme cold air into their lungs and does not need to protect their face or ears nor cover their hands as we have our clients Place their hands on the top ledge of our system. The other aspect we enjoy is that clients or never seen undressed as they wear a robe into the unit and hand the robe out once the door is closed and the client is in private. Additionally, since our system is nitrogen based, our clients actually get a localized nitrogen expression throughout their body below their neck but yet the main reason we use this system is to affect the body from the inside with our main goal to reduce internal inflammation of the body wherever it may be. Local Cryo is seen primarily in the world of professional sports or in Spas where they perform a "Cryo Facial" In sports, Local Cryo is used if an injury just occurred and could lead to bruising or microscopic bleeding where getting tissue temperature down rapidly could help mitigate the injury and help prevent hematoma. Outside of that type scenario, Ice Therapy is the way to go.
