The Village Bridge Holiday Festival of Lights is a reoccurring holiday dash event hosted by @unovasrose. It is a flexible, open RP event meant to be done at your own pace, with no pressure to participate every day or even every week, and it extends a bit before and after Christmas and New Year's so those who are very busy during the holidays still have a chance to partake in the holiday fun. Additionally, the date constraints only apply to a few (optional) interactive events offered by the blog, so participants are more than welcome to continue any event-related threads even after the festival is officially concluded.

This year, the event will take place from December 15th, 2023 to January 5th, 2024.

The event is set up in a “choose your own adventure” format so your muse(s) can take part in any and all parts of the event they are interested in. The following amenities will be available:

Riverside Dance Party — The Village Bridge waterfront doubles as a dance floor open to all of those interested in grooving to dance-worthy holiday tunes. A DJ will be rockin’ around the clock and the Bridge Quartet will be providing live music every evening! If your muse is a performer and would like to be featured in the festival during impromptu open mic nights, send this blog an ask so they can be included in the lineup! If you write any posts of them performing, tag this blog so the performance can be reblogged onto the festival page for all to see!

Bridge Concession Stands — Enjoy mouth-watering holiday-themed treats from the concessions area!

Festival Games — Try your hand at winning an adorable poképlush and other great prizes. Test your aim by trying to knock off all the stacked MooMoo Milk bottles on the platform during MooMoo Milk Knock-Off or show off your strength by attempting to Ring the Bronzong. Better at hand-eye coordination? Try your best to score a winning shot in Holiday Hoop-as! Each muse will have one (1) chance to participate in each game and the results will be determined by the booth runners by rolling a d20.

Snowball Fights — Challenge your friends (or sworn frenemies?) to a snowball fight! Snowball fights will be 3 v. 3 (trainer + 2 pokémon), with the results determined via a dice system.

⭐ Christmas Lights Displays ⭐ (MAIN ATTRACTION) — The fields outside of Village Bridge are transformed into a winter wonderland filled with spectacular Christmas Lights arrangements spanning over three miles! Grab a cup of Sweet Heart Hot Cocoa and enjoy a magical stroll through the displays!

Route 12 Fire Pits — In the outskirts of town and along the path for the lights displays, festival attendees will come across many firepits where they can ward off the winter chill and roast some delicious Litwick S’mores!

Cozy Cabin Stays — Don't want to travel from a hotel the next town over? Book a stay in a rustic log cabin in the outskirts of Village Bridge! The cabins are fully furnished for a comfortable stay. Bookings are reserved for festival attendees.

Fireworks Displays — A spectacular fireworks display will take place on December 31st at midnight. Gather up your friends or cozy up with your sweetheart to bring in the new year with a bang! Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or fire-type Pokémon to help stay warm.

Custom sentence starters and short opens featuring festival workers will be provided for each of the areas to assist in interactions, but don’t be afraid to come up with your own scenarios!

The event is open to everyone with a Pokémon muse or a Pokémon verse. There is no need to register in order to take part. Just use the tag #vbholidayfestival2023 in your festival posts and have at it!

★  BEST EXPERIENCE: I... honestly can't think of any? I've had more bad experiences than good. Maybe I'd say when I finally found my footing with independent OCs with Izren and ended up buddies with Bear and his whole entourage of writing partners. I've joined up on Discord servers with people I write with in the past, but I've never had fun like we do on his server. Plus we play D&D!

★  PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: Discord is my go-to if you wanna reach me. I use Tumblr IMs too, though with how they're about as functional as a Bethesda game, I often ask if we can move over to DMs.

I've got my Discord tab open 24/7 on both my laptops, plus I have the app on my phone. I lurk a lot. But nine times outta ten, I'm more of a reactive replier, almost always messaging back rather than messaging first.

★  MOST ACTIVE MUSE: Kouki, always. Getting into the mood with him is so stupidly easy. Put on any rock music, think about any series, play a video game, whatever- and there's always something that makes me do that Leo pointing meme and think "Hey, that gives me ideas for that white-haired little gremlin!"

★  EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS: I've honestly lost track lmao. Ballpark estimate is 11-13 years since I started around 2010 to 2013, with my intro to roleplaying being those ancient Quotev quizzes and the chatroom website Chatzy. If I remember correctly, my first actual RP was either in a Sonic chatroom or a Naruto chatroom. And I've never even watched Naruto- I was going on nothing other than the Fandom Wiki. You could even say that my cringe-worthy OC there was the first iteration of Kouki. Only reason I still remember that chat was one of my writing partners died of some terminal illness. Basically drowned in her own blood.

After that, I moved here to Tumblr. It started with Pokemon blogs... then Steven Universe (where I saw them actively out-toxic the MLP fanbase and drive them out of the fanbase)... then I was the sole Soul Calibur roleplayer... then I made a Skyrim OC based on the Kid Dragonborn mod... then I fell back onto Naruto and joined the fanbase here with more cringy OCs... made my other, still on-going Pokemon blog about eight-ish years ago... joined the JJBA fandom, which was and still is the best fandom I ever joined... then I joined the RWBY fandom... then the BNHA fandom... and now we're here!

★  RP PET PEEVES:

I'm gonna cheat a bit and leave two of Bear's peeves, if only because he completely hits the nail on the head. There's just no better way to put it without rehashing things.

Excessive commentary blogging. Before it was just a lot of dash commentary that had me going 'eh'. But in recent years it's gone past that. I've become disenchanted with blogs that become largely commentary for whatever it is they're doing on Discord. All power to those Discord groups doing what they do! But it reaches a point for me that I don't really see them as indie, and it can feel insurmountable trying to interact with them if you're not entangled with their zig-zagging plotlines.

Blog hoppers. Because for a slow burner and long hauler like myself, they're the most impossible people to write with! Which is a shame, because a lot of the hoppers I come across do seem to have some writing talent to them!

Fandom RP events. When I was younger, I used to love the idea of these big events with their own plotlines and moving parts that anyone could participate in if they wanted to. Galas, holiday parties, festivals- stuff like that.

That lasted until 2018, when I kickstarted Bernadotte's original JJBA blog and brought back my long-running Pokemon blog. In the span of something like 5 months, eight separate RP events happened back-to-back in just the JJBA fandom alone. You can only try to participate and be entirely ignored for so long before it sours your whole outlook.

And I mean entirely. I remember writing twelve different starters that people asked for, responding to numerous open threads and starters, liking many different event starter calls, sending asks- the whole shebang. Not even once did I get anything back. If you enjoy fandom RP events, more power to you. But I've been burned too many times to even want to try.

★   PLOTS OR MEMES: Doesn't matter to me! Either way is great! Back in the day, I relied heavily on memes without any ideas for plot, just sending in whatever sounded like something my muse would say. Basically "Oops! All Memes!" Now? I put more thought into things. Overthink things too.

Receiving memes? I almost always ask if there was a reason or an idea driving my partners to send in that specific thing 'cause you never know, y'know? They usually do. But it really doesn't matter to me if they do or don't. I'm just happy to write with y'all.

★  ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: There's a little bit of me in every one of my muses! An example off the top of my head? Kouki is based on how I was as a kid his age. Corbin was inspired by my high school years, my love for old books and poetry, and my music tastes. My Pokemon OC was straight-up a self-insert when I started that blog. Tino came from my RWBY days and my absolute love for weaponry.

They've all got fragments of me in 'em!

You, YES YOU, are invited to take a load off for a FULL WEEK! Celebrate with friends, participate in all kinds of activities, please enjoy the complimentary HIGH SPEED WIFI in case you get bored of social interaction, as well as really anything you can imagine! We’ve GOT IT! But, you can’t leave until the Cruise is done.

Thank you! It was really fun and i really can only recommend trying some rp and events.

I'll use this chance to clarify some stuff, because it was a bit chaotic yesterday and i made some mistakes or missed some stuff regarding blogging etiquette.

First: it was a mistake calling it an open starter, because really it wasn't? It was meant as a closed starter for everyone participating in the raid. Because i didn't know everyone there from the top of my head, and because I didn't want to tag like 15 people, i settled for "open starter". Well, what's done is done, and it worked out fine.

For the future: an "open starter" is usually meant for anyone, regardless of any planning. Anyone who happens to see it can just participate. I will hopefully keep this in mind.

Second: i probably could have tagged a bit more specific regarding content warnings. A high stakes warning couldn't have hurt on a few posts either. I'm sorry if i triggered anyone. I think i tagged everything with "team calm raid" though, maybe that was enough? Again, I'll hopefully keep this more in mind in the future.

"We are so pleased to announce our end of summer hoedown will be taking place this week. Last year and just as many years before was a great turnout. Our workers have been working tirelessly to ensure you get the bulk of your necessities are met. You will be trading goods for exchange as there will be many stands to do so. Children are welcome as there will be face painting and snacks for everyone's enjoyment. Food & drink will be offered around the town so fuel up! Live music will be played and any newcomers are welcomed to do performances. MAKE SURE YOU GET ENOUGH SUPPLIES IN TERMS OF FOOD AS A BACKUP WITH THE WINTER MONTHS APPROACHING. (food will become harder to come by) This will all be open from 10AM-8PM. Thank you! -- THE COUNCIL"

SOLDIERS & LOOKOUT -- you will rotate shifts around the town so everyone gets a chance. make sure there is no fighting or stealing.

CLEANUP -- you will rotate shifts. ensure you are changing trash and keeping the streets clean.

FARMERS: will sell canned jams, vegetables, seeds, & fruits. BARTENDERS: will sell small mason jars of alcohol. SEAMSTRESS: will sell fabrics, clothes, & shoes. they will also stitch, fix, or tailor clothing. BUTCHERS: will sell meat such as rabbits, dear, chickens, pigs, & frogs. HERBALISTS: will sell composts, earthbound remedies for aiding. CONSTRUCTION: will offer house work such as leaking ceilings, holes in walls, or broken toilets, doorknobs, etc -- anything maintenance. GUNSMITH: will sell weaponry such as guns and knives, bullets, iron, copper, & mold tools.

THIS YEAR WE CAN NOT LET OFF FIREWORKS AS LAST YEAR WE WERE ALMOST INVADED BY INFECTED. TOO MUCH NOISE!! we are now opting to a bonfire at the end of each night in the center of town.

The worms in the Pines are experiencing political unrest. Their king has fallen, their prince slaughtered, and the kingdom of Terramoist is now ruled by two queens. But don't worry about any of that. Your character might notice the worms are unusually active and violent.

Worm's Row has itself a resident bezkost which has fed on a dozen people already, so far only in the Row. Slayers paying attention to the signs might realize this, but most people are assuming they've angered a cryptid, and have started engaging in concerning new forms of worship.

You known each club has its own conditions, and here it is, the Serenity Club ver.

I. Terms of Service

1. We only accept one account per–person, and it must be a GEN RP account with a username and display name related to the character.

2. No need to be worry ‘cause we welcome all types of roleplay characters, and it’s best to join us with your main account. However, using a side account is also fine as long as you stay engaged.

3. If you want to join us with a new account, you need to have at least 100 active followers and 500 tweets.

4. We don’t allow twins, unless your character has a genuine twin.

5. You are only allowed to have three open agencies and two squads including us, but fret not ‘cause squad groups are not included in the calculation. However, the number of following you have should not exceed 500.

6. To keep your character’s activities up to date, it’s recommended to repost official accounts or tweet manually. You are not allowed to reposting fan accounts for the convenience of other guests.

7. Make sure you include your year of birth in your biography.

8. Refrain from engaging in discussions or reposting tweets related to real-life issues, and other negative topics. Keep your timeline safe everyday!

9. You are strictly forbidden from creating circles in circles (CIC) or becoming involved in any drama. Please make sure that the other guests and rubies feel at ease with you throughout the Serenity Club’s duration.

10. Please be cautious about posting out-of-character (OOC) content excessively and refrain from sharing Not Safe for Work (NSFW) content before 2 AM and after 3 AM to maintain a respectful environment for the younger members in our club.

11. Respect rubies and other guests are a must, and please be mindful with your words and actions.

II. The Instructions

1. You must be active during the club period.

2. Notify rubies via via direct message if you with to change your character. But if you want to change your character, you can do it two weeks after verification. Please take a note that you are only allowed to change your character once a month.

4. Notify rubies via direct message with a clear reasons, if you are unable to participate in our events or daily missions.

5. Notify rubies via direct message if you encounter any problems, such as account suspension or other issues.

8. You can only switch your character temporarily for up to three days, and avoid to using the same face claim as your guest mates.

7. You will receive a warning if you fail to participate in our daily activities twice without informing us.

9. There is no minimum number of tweets required per day, but you must keep interacting with other guests.

10. All requests for permission to be absent from club activities must be approved by rubies.

III. Additional rules

1. To request permission for absences like hiatus or unverification, you must send a direct message with clear reasons and get approval from Rubies.

2. You can take only one hiatus per month.

3. A short hiatus for three days and a long hiatus for five days are permitted. You cannot take a hiatus for more than five days because our time is limited, but if it’s really necessary, you can discuss it first with Rubies.

4. There are two group direct messaging (GDM) in our club: one for Rubies to share information with guests, and the other for guests to share tweets and live conversations only when ‘ON CONVO’.

5. Sharing other people's tweets is not allowed.

6. You can share your tweets up to six times a week and ask other guests for help with reposts or likes if needed.

7. You can share your upchar tweet to GDM with a conversation starter in the caption, such as “Good morning! What are your plans for today?” or “What do you think about my current hair color?” However, this is not a GDM for hype upchar.

IV. Unverification criterias

1. Selling your account without informing us first.

2. Being inactive for 24 hours after verification.

3. Not interacting with other guests for three days.

4. Failed to notify us for 24 hours if your account got locked or suspended.

5. Breaking our rules continuously.

Nuriel essentially chugged his entire glass down, while Arlyn, Tahirah, and Rafaele took polite (but big) sips. Starling just sipped at it several times before trying to down the rest in one go.

"And now we eat, right?" Nuriel asked.

"Yes, that's usually how this goes." Starling noted, nodding once.

Rafaele sighed. "We're at a banquet. Remember manners."

"Hey! I've had years of practice!"

Despite Nuriel's protests, Arlyn couldn't help but chuckle.

"Hopefully we don't get lost." Kamiizumi noted. The Swordmaster noticed some of the Chocobos pass by. "...Or get run over by Chocobos."

"Riding one of those could be fun~" Geist started, but DeRosa groaned.

"Let's just not end up dead by the end of this, alright? With the crowds like this it could be a stampede waiting to happen in the worst-case scenario..."

"But we're here to enjoy ourselves, not be stampeded over." Geist pointed out.

These spirits can talk to you and interact with objects you give them. And as Halloween 🎃 creeps closer and closer, the more physical they become...

And in the last couple of days in the event, they will be alive and will have their final interactions...

The event will run from October 1st to November 10th

🌟As an added bonus you can request from the list below any of my OCS you wish to see fused with monsters of Halloween, and If you want I can add your own OC with one of mine (of your choice) in a picture together, fused with Halloween monsters of your choice of course... (do please send a picture of the monster you wish for the OC to be fused with please)...

I just want to do something fun for everyone, not just the Minecraft community~ so if you think this will be fun in October do join in~ anonymous will be on as well so please don't ruin that for others...

Rules:

1: I can't really do gory stuff too well... if you want gore tho, I will post it up my Alpha timeline blog (NSFW blog) and it will be under the cut. But nothing further than that (trying to have a fun All Hallos Eve event~)

2: No Sex request! Putting this here because there are those who will ask anonymously and think it's funny... it's not. I don't want to get in any trouble...

3: If you request an OC that is not yours, please send proof you asked the original owner if it was ok. I have done this myself and it has gotten me in trouble before... I would like to avoid that please. (And don't ask 🙏)

4: I plan to do art for ALL ASKS at the start of the event so please be patient with me if I seem slow. I have two children who need my attention and guidance and so little time away from them... (Will be starting new job soon... hopefully~)

5: I will have an RP starter on the RP Blog if you want to do a story with the spirits only for the event. (Other current RPs will continue as normal and will not be affected by the event UNLESS partner says it is ok~)

6: Remember this is just for fun~

This will be the only event I will have before the end of the year is up because I'm sure that someone is going to have a Christmas event going or a Thanksgiving event going... I just wanted to do one last event before the year is out... And out of the three remaining big American holidays, Halloween is my favorite 😍...

So yeah this will be the last big event of the year on my blog, so if you've made it this far reading everything I do appreciate you taking the time to read it... And if you decide to participate I hope you have an enjoyable and fun time~

A voice echos through the floor of the Casino as the doors swing open. The music cuts out while Pizza Joe urges the dancers to remain swaying until they fix the speaker once more. But, just as the staff of Siren Sounds Radio have come to save the day, getting the music back up and running so that the Dance-A-Thon can continue, one event planner, Dilan Selvi has decided to steal the show. Only something seems to be off about her as she has decided to go out of her way to make a scene going so far as to pour a drink down her sister, Leyla Selvi’s dress, and steal your host poor Pizza Joe’s horn. But, why Dilan is acting so strange is the question?

For those who attended the Magnolia Inn’s White Elephant party back in December, you may remember the gift the Alpha decided to bring and, for those who couldn’t make it, you may have heard some gossip about that evening. Nico Castillo showed up to the party with a mysterious wooden puzzle box that was said to probably not be cursed. Only when Dilan ended up with the box she tossed the gift into the fire place. The box blackened, gave a click and popped open. A flurry of sparks rose up in the fire place and a whisper of a voice was heard from the embers. That same voice is coming out of Dilan’s mouth now, because...

That’s right folks. One of you decided months ago to bring a box harboring a poltergeist to a party. Your lovely admins warned you that the ghost would be making a return and today is that day. Now, Dilan Selvi is possessed and it is up to you to work together to find a way to send the ghost back to where they came.

REMINDERS

For those of you who weren’t here for our Holiday Event: We’ve always welcomed players to bring new ideas to the table and help us mold our plot/overarching story. So, when Penn ( @nicocastillo ) asked us if they could bring a potentially cursed box to the Holiday Event we were more than happy to introduce this fun new element to the RP. The above gives a bit of an overview as to what happened back at White Elephant, but all you need to know if you weren’t there is that Dilan burned a box containing a poltergeist that Nico brought to the holiday party and, when the box was destroyed, the ghost inhabited Dilan. The ghost has been dormant in Dilan all this time, but something during this event triggered the ghost to come out. What that something may be is up to you as players to try to figure out. 

Given that our Spring Blossom Festival Event is a character-building/character-driven event rather than a plot-driven event, we wanted to try something new and integrate players storylines such as the cursed box into fun chaos themed plot drops. There will be another chaos themed plot drop like this dropping later in the week. We are trying these character integrated style plot drops out and will be dropping an OOC survey at the end of the event so that you can give us your feedback as to whether you like them and would like to see more of them or have your characters participate themselves. So, please stay tuned for that!

Anyone who asked to be paired should have received a message from the admins with their pairing by now. If you didn’t react to the last post, but would still like a pairing, you can also feel free to message the main and we’d be more than happy to pair you with someone or plot with other members in the group chat if you would rather choose your character’s partner yourself.

While the event as a whole is mandatory, this plot drop is not mandatory, so if you’d prefer not to react to it you don’t have to.

Feel free to write open or private starters reacting to any of the above. The tag for the event is still lunarcoveevent6. Everything from pictures, outfits & threads etc. should be under this tag. Starters should have both the starter and event tag.

For anyone looking to bring in new characters, we will continue to have regular acceptances throughout the event.

SONIC EVENT: WINTER LODGE

NOTE: THIS IS FOR THE SONIC RPC ONLY! Check this post for basic rules.

    It's beginning to feel a lot like Winter Associated Holiday! Welcome, one and all to TBM's WINTER LODGE! It's been decorated for the Holidays, all expenses paid, and you, YES YOU, are invited to take a load off this December! Celebrate with friends, participate in all kinds of activities, from skiing, to snowboarding, or maybe you want to stay inside and warm by the fire! Whatever you choices, you'll be free to anything you wish, provided you are not damaging the Lodge. That would be rude.

    Any winter activity you think would be fun, feel free to do! Be careful you don't get stuck under the mistletoe with someone you're not super friendly with! Or, do. Who are WE to judge?
