Never Love an Anchor by The Crane Wives is literally OptiRatch.
Specifically Optimus singing about Ratchet because of how it’s about letting someone go.
“I am selfish, I am broken, I am cruel, I am all the things they might have said to you” who always thinks he’s selfish and at fault for the war? Optimus the freakin’ Prime.
And if you imagine Cybertron’s surface as water, at the end of Predacon’s Rising Optimus was below it LIKE AN ANCHOR and Ratchet was above it LIKE A SHIP. AND Optimus was always the one to keep the team stable LIKE AN ANCHOR. And he only really had one purpose, that being ending the war and saving his planet. After everything was steady again he wouldn���t really be needed. And Ratchet still had things to do, he could still move forward. Anchor and a ship, anyone???
“On some level, I think I always understood that a ship could never really love an anchor. So, I did the only thing that I could, and severed the rope to set you sailing from my harbor” Ratchet getting over his grief and living again???
