additionally, you can send a cybertip using the cybertipline (it's a USA-based line, but you can send a form from anywhere and the incident doesn't have to have taken place in the USA):

the cybertip form only takes a couple minutes to fill out, and it can help make sure that government officials are alerted to suspected child exploitation so they can hopefully stop it before it escalates. you can also report a wider variety of things to the cybertip hotline than tumblr itself- for example, i've seen a decent number of posts from suspected minors attempting to initiate sexual contact with adults through sharing telegram numbers, which doesn't go against tumblr's terms of service but is something you can report to the cybertip hotline.

i DO NOT like the fact that ohshc is marketed as a reverse harem anime.

like. this anime is an incredibly profound exploration of the power of found family and how it impacts those who find it, with the storylines of every single main character being directly related to how this found family changed them.

more yap below the cut bc this got rlly long and i don't wanna clog ppl's dashes with my rants

kyoya learned to break away from his father's expectations of him, and his set role (as he percieved it) as the "third son". the twins finally left their little bubble and learned how not to push people away. honey found a space where he was allowed to be himself in all his many facets (and mori followed him, because he always does). haruhi got a group of genuine friends who care about and love them. tamaki got a group of people to love and care for and a way to make his dreams a reality (and find joy in a truly abysmal circumstance).

and they market it like the point is... that they're all in love with haruhi??

there's barely any actual chemistry between haruhi and any of the members of the host club, much less romance. she and tamaki are the closest to having the potential for romance, i think, but they're so dad-daughter coded in the show (in a strangely not weird way??) that a romantic relationship between them would just feel... weird, at least to me.

the show puts almost zero actual effort into developing the potential for romance between haruhi and any of the boys. and honestly, i like that. i feel the anime is better because of it. i enjoy ohshc because it has a genuinely good story, with well-developed characters and a lack of the gratuitous romance i feel so often bogs down anime.

and yet i keep seeing it marketed like romance is the point?? or even a selling factor at all?? which it really isn't, at least in my mind. and i feel like it's reductive to frame it that way.
