Something to add to this, especially from a disabled writer's perspective:
-you can absolutely have arthritis at a young age(I'm 19 and yes. Rheumatoid arthritis exists. I am very close to having it myself. No it is not fun)
-you can have tremors! Tics, uncontrollable muscle spasms, nerve damage, etc etc
-you can need a cane/walker! Especially the ones with the lil tennis balls on the bottom. Go for it.
-you can absolutely have muscle/joint aches and yes it does get worse with the weather. Winter especially! My muscles in my back tighten VERY painfully when it is cold and I cannot help it no matter how many layers I wear!! And yes!! My knees can tell when it's about to rain!! I thought it was silly too!!
-taking random naps in the middle of the day, including recliner naps, can actually be really needed. Especially if you're very fatigued. Also recliner naps can really help if you have back issues/your knees feel "heavy". Speaking from experience.
-YOUR BODY CRACKS AT RANDOM!! I can't count how many times I've had to stretch out my arms/legs and have it all crack out and then just have to sit there and let it "settle" before jumping up and going on to do whatever I needed to do.
-Old Man Groans are a thing. Involuntary. Did not even realize it was a thing I was doing until it was pointed out to me. Even if you think you're not doing it, you are. You're an old man. Embrace it. Yes I am fine. Yes the noise comes with the package. Deal with it.
-sometimes you gotta just lay down when talking to your friends even if they're all sitting/standing. Laying on the floor should be allowed. Good friends will lay/sit with you.
-"resting your eyes" is also a thing. Sometimes you really don't realize you're sleepy until you've got your eyes closed and you're all comfy and suddenly you're just drifting off...
-not quite a disability thing but you know how grandmas tend to have hard candies/snacks on hand? Yeah. People who struggle with extremely high metabolism/energy dips/low blood sugar tend to carry snacks and a water bottle on hand. Especially if they know they have this problem. While the trope of everyone flocking to help their homie who fainted is sweet(and sometimes very needed), some people will have snacks to spare to others just in case. I myself carried a LOT of Tylenol, cough drops, mints, body mist, and snacks in my bag when I was in high school bc every time I was in drama, at least one person would complain of one thing or another and it was great to be able to share. If you want to use this trope, I recommend using it with a bit more nuance. Why did they leave their stuff at home? Did they just set it down? Did was their brain fog worse than normal and they forgot? Or you can use it as a discovery as to what the character is going through. I've seen a lot of diabetic characters "forget" their things without any sort of explaination and it's sort of brushed off for laughs (like in the older film "Mall Cop" from what I remember)
Like sorry for hijacking your post op but I got so excited being able to talk about something like this! Very rarely it gets brought up so I'm happy to be able to ramble^^
I love young cripples with stereotypically “old people” disorders! (Personally I have severe plantar fasciitis at 20)
You’re not “too young” to have this pain.
You don’t need to “wait until you’re older and then you’ll see”.
Your disability is a disability regardless of your age!!!!

So… this ended up longer than I meant for it to be. Sorry. 😁
The way you view James is interesting to me. I always imagined him as being a pretty free spirt who is just so incredibly alive. Most people who meet him probably describe him as the most alive person they’d ever met. He lived every second to the fullest and wanted to go all the way out to the edge and experience everything. Of course him and Sirius are described as “much admired rebels” but his rebellion isn’t the same it’s a freer thing if that makes sense? It’s not born form such darkness as Sirius’ is. James’ is fueled by a lust for life, new experiences, and new people and it’s more him challenging or rebelling against pure blood society (which I think is like just how the Potters roll) and their messed up ideals not his family. Sirius’ being fueled by a lust for freedom (from his family, their beliefs, abuse, and his demons) and discovery of who he is and wants to be. Thus rebelling against his family, their beliefs, their power, and pure blood society.
The Potter family where an old and wealthy family, but where mostly content with a comfortable life in the “back waters” of wizarding society and weren’t concerned with blood purity. Even with a history of muggle and muggle born rights activists. I always read this as them being rather different. I kinda felt like we were dealing with a family that just passed down the value of “fuck society we do what we want.” Like I imagine them as eccentric inventors, cures breakers, adventurers, magizooologists, quidditch players, dragon handlers, aurors, and whatever else wild, exciting, fun thing one could think of. I definitely think that doing well (academically, career wise, etc) was important and considered valuable by them but for some reason I just seem like being a rather wild and free bunch. Definitely still approachable, kind, down to earth, kind, accessible, but worldly, fun, exciting, intense, passionate, adventures and excitement on legs.
hello! definitely no sorry needed, i love talking all things jfp 💜💜
i’m gonna be honest, i don’t actually see james as a rebel at all (with or without a cause). i see him as pretty much sticking to what’s expected of him in most cases (esp public) and only really going off the path when he’s with a trusted few. i definitely see where ur going and i love it! he’s definitely full of life and always, always happy to be trying new things. i often call him the sunshine kid and i’ll stick by it. i definitely think a large part of it comes from the confidence & high self esteem his parents instilled in him—he sees something and he goes for it, and this often ends up in him doing all these weird, adventurous, often dangerous things right? (i also think he has a large uhh what’s the word, adrenaline kink? nope, that’s not it. but u know what i mean right? the kind of person who loves extreme sports, for eg)
also lol love the hippie potters vibe you’re drawing here. (i also have this funny mental image of like, ridiculously wacky/eccentric potters and then comes james—a whole buttoned up, proper posh boy kid—and they’re (incl portraits) all just baffled like, how is he like this??? who gave him the stick up the arse?? like everyone else is dressed in the most mismatched, alternative fashion ever and then u have james in sweater vests and shorts and buttons downs)
i’m now also imagining harry learning all this about his family and it’s so !!!! like i’ve read a few fics that super focus on potter family history (one where they were like, military tacticians and super op fighters which was so good) and i love stuff like that! harry finding out that the potters were this bunch of crazy inventors & chose the most ridiculous professions and i feel like that would give him such a sense of freedom and relief and he’d definitely be next in line ykno?

I do have stuff against her too, but I also wish better for her. When the writers got rid of taking care of scotts character, they also took some potential moments that could have happened between Scott and Melissa. (And I do wish HEAVILY that melissa can hang out with friends, idk, resume something more than work bc she deserves a break. The huge relief i got when she kinda got that thru being with Chris. Felt so happy that she was happy.) I do kinda agree that she was definitely a mentor figure after the reveal. She also comes with terms that Scott is kinda no longer a kid too bc of what he is constantly doing to save and help everyone but even that gets addressed wayyy into the series when she is watching her son go down the hospital hall bc they had something to do. And that def was not school 😂. And then it keeps getting dismissed. Scott has an anxiety more and more about his mom getting killed and thats unfortunately just brought up time to time, but isnt something the show wants to reallyy dig into or resolve. And maybe its extremely worse when melissa does end up being hospitalized and scotts fears do come haphazardly close to, "what if things were worse than hospitalization?" And Scott is so torn, so soft by her bed like he cant even let go. Still. They dont focus too much on her afterward 😅. (Im saying there are flaws. Op this has kinda went off topic fyffyydyd)
I do kinda really wish Melissa could have stayed longer at the house with an injured scott in s5. The conversation, aka the lecture, did make me grind my teeth bc it served the plot rather than their relationship as a family. It said something about it, i guess, but it wasnt genuine. And maybe she did have to go to work. But my mind is stuck on that lecture. Scott dismisses his recovery and pulls himself together (and failing that bc he can barely stand) to go make things right with his pack, and that starts with Stiles. Who def killed someone (from scotts knowledge at the time), and still goes to check up on him. The lecture was... Bad in terms that he has this idea in his mind that his well being comes last. He gains a deeper sentiment to be kind (if thats the word), but at what cost? And possibly, Melissa could maybe carry those same attitudes for herself (as coming secondary when it comes to her needs). Now there were def a time where Melissa did defend Scott and thats one point, but it was way earlier on in the seasons where she tells Noah that Scott and his friends should stay out of this supernatural stuff and focus on school. Crazy how things changed actually tho ctdtdtdtxt she did have some well-meaning stuff even after her discovery of her own son being a werewolf. It just gets... Dropped.
I think s5 was a good time for melissa and scott to have some really good moments tho. It had that potential for more.
Scott McCall and Jim Lake Jr. parallels (and also reasons I love them both)
Both teenage boys who are struggling a little bit with school
Have a crush on a girl who becomes part of the main group and not just a love interest
Loves their moms!! Seriously, when I saw how much Jim loves and cares for his mom I immediately thought of Scott. They both even have scenes where they’re told by their moms that they should just worry about being a teenager and not taking care of them, it’s supposed to be the other way around.
Each have a rough period with their moms when she is close to finding out/does find out why they’re always out late and come home beat up.
Always there for their best friend
Wants to protect anyone and everyone they can
Has a lot of love to go around
Natural leaders!
Absent fathers
Scott’s mom is a nurse/Jim’s mom is a doctor
Super sweet
Residents of California
Both carry supernatural/magical burdens in which the rest of the world can’t know about
Not to do with Jim or Scott, but both their moms did date an antagonist

So, I’ve never really talked seriously about my GeNdEr IdEnTItY on here but I feel like it might be helpful to do so. Or, less my “gender identity”, and more my... complicated gender feelings. This is a long post and probably interesting to nobody but me, but I appreciate anyone who reads it anyway as I’m kinda in a weird place at the moment and wondering if anyone else shares [something like] my experiences.
The thing is, I used to feel really intense gender dysphoria. I felt it basically from as long ago as I can remember, up until my early twenties when it just sharply faded. This is not an experience I have heard others talk about, and it’s come with some odd side effects, idk.
When I was a little kid (like, maybe 4-8 years old?) I was extremely open and adamant about refusing to follow gender norms. I didn’t have any concept of “trans” or “nonbinary” (I had never heard of those ideas), but I had a very strong sense that I had been born the wrong sex. I would frequently say stuff like “I shouldn’t have been born [assigned gender], I should have been [other binary gender]” and I didn't really think anything of it? Like I wasn’t embarrassed or ashamed to want that, it was just this matter-of-fact thing in my mind, I should have been born the other way. I also absolutely hated being lumped in with my agab in peoples’ minds, and in order to avoid that I would refuse to take part in gendered activities of any kind, or even associate with other kids at school of my agab. I was extremely dedicated to doing nothing that was associated with my it. (Of course, I did end up doing stuff when I didn’t realize it was associated with my agab, and actually ended up with a fair number of pretty “typical” gendered hobbies in retrospect, but anyway).
As I young teenager, I remember feeling pretty sad about things. I had just resigned to the idea that I was always going to be my agab and there wasn’t anything that could be done about it, and it just felt kinda hopeless. Then at like 14 I learned what trans people were (from a specific reddit post, a transition timeline that made it to the front page, to whose OP I shall be eternally grateful!) and I just felt such intense happiness and excitement that this was just, a real thing. Like, that one discovery just, changed my whole perspective on things? And knowing that changing my gender was a possibility arguably made my dysphoria worse, I think, but I also started to feel gender euphoria for the first time. Like, when I did something that felt gender-affirming, it just made me so intensely, intensely happy. I would spend hours daydreaming about being [other binary gender] and just the thought that it was a real possibility felt so amazing and made me so happy (it was also quite scary).
Mental health wise, that was also (for other reasons) the absolute worst period of my life. I was very unhappy, and I remember that literally the only emotion that was able to cut through my anxiety was that gender euphoria. Like, literally, that and that alone got me through my teenage years.
Anyway, based on all that, I was pretty sure I was binary trans. Like I was thinking about transition and planning for it and everything but like. As I got in to my early twenties, concurrent with my mental health improving drastically, my gender feelings started to just fade? Like, I didn’t feel that intense dysphoria anymore, but I no longer felt the euphoria either. And obviously, not feeling the dysphoria is nice... but not feeling the euphoria is really, really sad to me. I think about it a lot, actually. There isn’t anything that makes me feel that intensely anymore. It was this huge part of my life, by far the strongest positive emotion I had experienced at the time, and it’s just, 95% gone now. And I kinda don’t know what to do? To be honest, I’d take the dysphoria back in an instant if it brought the euphoria back too. But things just don’t have that impact anymore. Anyway, that’s when I started identifying as non-binary, cause I just, didn’t know what to make of it all.
And idk, that’s where I am now. And I’m never met or heard about anyone who has had this kind of experience, so I don’t really have any sense of... what to do? Like, is it possible to have been “formerly pre-transition trans”? And want to be that again?

Disruption for Thee, But Not for Me
http://locusmag.com/2019/01/cory-doctorow-disruption-for-thee-but-not-for-me/
The Silicon Valley gospel of “disruption” has descended into caricature, but, at its core, there are some sound tactics buried beneath the self-serving bullshit. A lot of our systems and institutions are corrupt, bloated, and infested with cream-skimming rentiers who add nothing and take so much.
Take taxis: there is nothing good about the idea that cab drivers and cab passengers meet each other by random chance, with the drivers aimlessly circling traffic-clogged roads while passengers brave the curb lane to frantically wave at them. Add to that the toxic practice of licensing cabs by creating “taxi medallions” that allow businesspeople (like erstwhile Trump bagman Michael Cohen) to corner the market on these licenses and lease them to drivers, creaming off the bulk of the profits in the process, leaving drivers with barely enough to survive.
So enter Uber, an app that allows drivers and passengers to find each other extremely efficiently, that gives drivers realtime intelligence about places where fares are going begging, and which bankrupts the rent-seeking medallion speculators almost overnight.
Of course, Uber also eliminates safety checks for drivers (and allows them to illegally discriminate against people with disabilities, people of color, and other marginalized groups); it used predatory pricing (where each ride is subsidized by deep-pocketed, market-cornering execs) to crush potential competitors, and games the regulatory and tax system.
Uber (and its Peter-Thiel-backed rival Lyft) are not good companies. They’re not forces for good. But the system they killed? Also not good.
In 2016, the City of Austin played a game of high-stakes chicken with Uber and Lyft. Austin cab drivers have to get fingerprinted as part of a criminal records check, and Austin wanted Uber and Lyft drivers to go through the same process.
Uber and Lyft violently objected to this. They said it would add a needless barrier to entry that would depress the supply of drivers, and privately, they confessed their fear that giving in to any regulation, anywhere, would open the door to regulation everywhere. They wanted to establish a reputation for being such dirty fighters that no city would even try to put rules on them.
(Notably, Uber and Lyft did not make any arguments about criminal background checks perpetuating America’s racially unjust “justice system” in which people of color are systematically overpoliced and then railroaded into guilty pleas.)
Austin wasn’t intimidated. They enacted the rule, and Uber and Lyft simply exited the city, leaving Austin without any rideshare at all. All the drivers and passengers who’d come to rely on Lyft and Uber were out of luck.
But the drivers were undaunted. They formed a co-operative and in months, they had cloned the Uber app and launched a new business called Ride Austin, which is exactly like Uber: literally the same drivers, driving the same cars, and charging the same prices. But it’s also completely different from Uber: the drivers own this company through a worker-owned co-op. They take home 25% more per ride than they made when they were driving for Uber. Uber and Lyft drivers commute into Austin from as far away as San Antonio just to drive for Ride. That’s how much better driving for a worker co-op is.
I remember when the term “platform cooperativism” was first bandied about to describe this kind of thing. I was at a small, invitational tech conference where nerds, investors, activists, lawyers, SF writers and other technologically oriented types were gathered. I was on a panel about these platform co-ops and I said that I thought Uber would be really easy to replace with a co-op: the riders and the drivers valued the service, not the logo on the app, and plenty of people were happy about the convenience of Uber but unhappy about the creepy, rapacious nature of the company behind it.
An investor in the audience stood up to tell me how full of shit I was: I had no idea just how complicated Uber’s app and infrastructure were, and there was no way a bunch of grubby drivers would ever be able to match its expert coding and administration.
He was so wrong.
But there’s another, better argument against this kind of platform cooperativism: “discovery costs.” I first hailed a Ride car at South By Southwest, not long after Lyft and Uber had exited the city, and everyone going to the festival had been repeatedly warned that they would have to download the Ride app to get around the city (Austin’s taxi fleet hasn’t been up to the SXSW crowds for more than a decade, and never less so than now, having been crippled by Uber and Lyft).
So I was prepared. When I land in another city, the first app I try when I need to get around is Lyft, then Uber (Uber was a godsend in Shanghai, where we were repeatedly cheated by regular cab drivers, but where the Uber app kept everything aboveboard). Some or all of these cities might have co-op rideshares, but there’s no easy way to know about it, and without passengers, there’s no incentive for the drivers to drive for the co-ops, so even when you do try to hail a co-op, there won’t be any drivers available.
Lyft and Uber have moved back into Austin, and their drivers get fingerprinted. I just got my speaker-info package from SXSW for the 2019 festival, and the advice to download Ride before touching down is no longer the top of the checklist. I imagine that most of the attendees at SXSW will be getting around with Uber and Lyft, and 25% of the money they spend will go to those companies’ shareholders, not to the drivers.
But imagine a disruptive app that disrupted the disrupters.
Imagine if I could install a version of Ride (call it Meta-Uber) that knew about all the driver co-ops in the world. When I landed, I’d page a car with Uber or Lyft, but once a driver accepted the hail, my Meta-Uber app would signal the driver’s phone and ask, “Do you have a driver co-op app on your phone?” If the driver and I both had the co-op app, our apps would cancel the Uber reservation and re-book the trip with Meta-Uber.
That way, we could piggyback on the installed base of Uber and Lyft cars, the billions they’ve poured into getting rideshare services legalized in cities around the world, the marketing billions they’ve spent making us all accustomed to the idea of rideshare services.
This Meta-Uber service would allow for a graceful transition from the shareholder-owned rideshares to worker co-ops. When you needed a car, you’d get one, without having to solve the chicken-and-egg problem of no drivers because there are no passengers because there are no drivers. One fare at a time, we could cannibalize Lyft and Uber into the poorhouse.
The billions they’ve spent to establish “first-mover advantages” wouldn’t be unscalable stone walls around their business: they’d be immovable stone weights around their necks. Lyft and Uber would have multi-billion-dollar capital overhangs that their investors would expect to recoup, while the co-ops that nimbly leapt over Uber and Lyft would not have any such burden.
Could we do this?
Yes. Technically, this isn’t all that challenging. Create a service where drivers and passengers’ devices all register unique, per-ride codes, have the Meta-Uber check to see if the driver’s device has just posted a unique code that matches yours, and then use the built-in ride-cancelation tool that’s already incorporated into Uber and Lyft to tear down the old reservation and re-create it with Meta-Uber.
What about legal impediments, though?
That’s where the trouble starts. Tech law is a minefield of overly broad, superannuated rules that have been systematically distorted by companies that used “disruption” to batter their way into old industries, but now use these laws to shield themselves from any pressure from upstarts to seek to disrupt them.
First is the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, passed in 1986 in part to assuage Ronald Reagan’s panic after seeing the movie Wargames (I am not making this up). CFAA is nominally an anti-computer-intrusion statute, which criminalizes “exceeding your authorization” on a computer that doesn’t belong to you. Even when it passed, more than 40 years ago, technologically clued-in scholars and practicioners warned that this was way too broadly defined, and that someday we might see this rule used to felonize normal activities involving computers we owned, because the computers would have to talk to a server to accomplish part of their work, and the server’s owner could use onerous “user agreements” and “terms of service” to define our authorization. If this became widespread, then these licenses could take on the force of criminal law, and violating them could become a jailable offense.
40 years later, those fears are vindicated: CFAA is used to threaten, intimidate, sue, and even jail people engaged in otherwise perfectly lawful activity, merely because they have violated some term of service on the way. The metastasis of terms of service into sprawling novellas of impenetrable legalese has created a world where anything you do to frustrate the commercial ambitions of digital monopolists is a potential criminal offense.
Then there’s Section 1201 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, a Bill Clinton bill that creates a felony for “bypassing an effective means of access control” (AKA Digital Rights Management or DRM) for copyrighted works. Twenty years ago, the proponents for this bill argued that it would be used to safeguard certain marginal commercial technologies: under DMCA 1201, it would be illegal to bypass the region controls on a DVD player, allowing movie studios to force you to buy your DVDs in the same place where you bought the player – it would also allow Sega to force you to buy your Dreamcast games on CDs that came from official Sega pressing plants, rather than direct from the games’ authors, ensuring that Sega would always get a share of the revenues from the sale of games you played on your console.
Again, experts warned Congress that DMCA 1201 was way too broad and would be ripe for abuse, as software crept into more systems. Again, the experts were right. Today, DRM is used to force people with artificial pancreases to buy proprietary insulin and people with inkjet printers to buy proprietary ink; it’s used by car manufacturers and phone manufacturers to control who can make parts for their products and who can service them; it’s found in voting machines, tractors, thermostats, virtually every device with software, and it has no connection with copyright enforcement. Rather, it is used for “business model enforcement,” to ensure that disruptive, but legal, ways of using a product or service are made illegal – from refilling your printer’s ink cartridge to getting your car or phone serviced by an independent neighborhood repair shop.
Together, the CFAA and DMCA have given digital businesses access to a shadowy legal doctrine that was never written by Congress but is nevertheless routinely enforced by the courts: Felony Contempt of Business-Model.
The CFAA and DMCA 1201 have been carefully distorted into defensive, anti-disruption shields that are only available to digital businesses. Taxi medallion owners can’t use the CFAA and DMCA 1201 to keep Uber and Lyft out of their cities.
But Uber and Lyft could use these legal tools to keep Meta-Uber out of their bottom lines. Uber and Lyft have lengthy terms-of-service that set out the rules under which you are authorized to communicate with Uber and Lyft’s servers. These terms of service prohibit using their servers to locate drivers for any purpose other than booking a ride. They certainly don’t permit you to locate a driver and then cancel the booking and re-book with a co-op app.
And Uber and Lyft’s apps are encrypted on your phone, so to reverse-engineer them, you’d have to decrypt them (probably by capturing an image of their decrypted code while it was running in a virtual phone simulated on a desktop computer). Decrypting an app without permission is “bypassing an effective means of access control” for a copyrighted work (the app is made up of copyrighted code).
Uber and Lyft can use DMCA 1201 to stop you from figuring out how to use them to locate co-op drivers, and they can use the CFAA to stop you from flipping your booking from Uber to Meta-Uber.
There are a hundred other Metas we can imagine: a Meta-Amazon that places your order with the nearest indy bookstore instead; a Meta-OpenTable that redirects your booking to a co-op booking tool.
Every single one of these co-ops would disrupt a digital monopolist who came to power preaching the gospel of disruption. Every single one of those digital monopolists would switch to the aggrieved bleats of a bewildered incumbent apex predator snarling and twisted impotently as its flesh was rent by a thousand tiny bites from swarms of fast-moving, highly evolved successors.
But we never get to bring those lumbering relics down, not so long as felony contempt-of-business-model is still in play in America. Until then, disruption will always be for thee and never for me.

@probablylostrightnow I’m so happy for your self-discovery!! if only because you’re asking me about nail polish (also, you know, your health and happiness blah blah blah ^.^)
So I agree with the previous suggestions you’ve gotten about going to a salon first, if only to help get started in a way that won’t be extremely overwhelming. Plus, they’ll clean your nails and cuticles up.
The main things you need are a good base coat and top coat and, of course, nail polish. Sally Hansen is good “entry level” as in, it’s not terrible and it’s not expensive. I used their Insta-Dri Anti-Chip top coat for a while and while it does dry really fucking fast, it’s not anti-chip, at least not for very long on me. But! It’s a good place to start.
More than you probably ever wanted to know about nail polish under the cut
Ok so general nail care. I don’t expect you’ll be changing your polish as much as I do (every other or every third day tbh) but polish and remover is bad for your nails so you need to give them some extra tlc if you’re going to keep them painted. Cuticle oil and lotions are your friends even though I hate any kind of residue on my hands.
As I’m sure you’re noticing, feminine-advertised products are fucking expensive. I could blow an entire paycheck at Sephora easily and unfortunately the better products are more expensive but I’ve found a nice middle ground with nail polish products.
Nail maintenance
Biotin is your friend. It’s your best friend. If you want stronger nails and thicker, faster growing hair, take biotin. I ran out and didn’t replenish for ~1.5 months and recently had to cut all my nails pretty short because they were breaking too easily. And I hadn’t cut my nails (filed and shaped, yes) in well over a year. I take a 5000mg cheap ass drugstore brand pill every morning and it works great.
If your nails aren’t in great shape to begin with, then I suggest using Nailtiques Nail Protein. It’s a nail strengthener than can double as a base coat, which I sometimes do if I’m not worried about the polish staining. When I first started wearing a lot of polish my nails started peeling so I took two weeks off (well, I was post-op and couldn’t paint my nails easily) and used this everyday and have not had an issue with peeling nails since.
So, remover. You can get the $0.79 ones at the drugstore but honestly, they’ll wreck your nails. My absolute favorite is Nailtiques Non-Acetone Remover with Aloe because a) it doesn’t wreck my nails, b) it’s even mildly moisturizing, and c) it doesn’t smell terrible. Always get a non-acetone remover!
Get some cheap cotton balls and cotton rounds and do the cotton ball trick. I used to scrub endlessly to get glitter nail polish off but now I just smack pieces of remover-soaked cotton on my nails for a minute and the whole thing swipes off. A-m-a-z-i-n-g
Base coat and top coat
Tbh you need a base coat, if only to protect your nails from staining but they also help your nail polish last longer. There are some that are better than others: Nailtiques protein is pretty good, Essie was a little lackluster to me and I’ve had some staining with it (tbf the polish was neon orange), OPI is good but expensive. My current go-to is Glisten & Glow for both top coat and base coat. Seche Vita is one of the most popular top coats--with good reason--but it’s a little intimidating the first time because you put it on while the polish is still wet but you have to be very careful not to pickup any of the wet polish on the brush.
Edit: @coinin made a good point about Seche--it does contain toluene, so if you’re trying to avoid all the nasty chemicals then skip Seche too.
Painting/Cleaning Up
I don’t have terribly steady hands. I use a Photoshop plug-in to help me draw straight. I can’t put polish on without getting it on my skin. I just can’t. So! There are some options for clean-up: tweezers (carefully peel off any rogue polish, feels a lot like peeling off white glue that you’ve rubbed on your fingers), remover + brush/eyeshadow brush (you sort of paint the polish off your skin; this is the most popular method (I like to use these because they’re angled)), liquid silicon (it’s like the opposite of normal polish: you want to paint it everywhere except your nails and then you peel it off when you’re done. I’ll use it sometimes, especially if I’m wearing black polish but the effort is not always worth it to me)
Nail polish
The FUN PART! This is all down to personal taste. For example: @black-rose4 and I rib each other a lot about my love of- and her aversion to glitter polishes.
So main categories: micro glitter, flakies, multichrome, holo, thermal, magnetic.
Edit: @black-rose4 pointed out I forgot creme polish, which yeah, fine I did but it’s just so basic and boring ;)
I will rec Dragonsworn Cosmetics until the cows come home because not only does she do all the fun fandom polishes, but she does customs and, frankly, her shit’s just good. Specific suggestions: Dungeon Master (so sparkly), Mr. Nancy and/or The Zoryas, Moira, and Vetra. If you want to start out with (or are interested in) more muted tones then Varric, Bastion, McCree, and Leliana are good.
Some of my other favorite brands are Tonic, Illyrian, Lyn B Designs, Moonshine, and Emily de Molly.
Tonic and Illyrian are event-release, which means they’ll shut their shops down either right before or until they have new releases.
Lyn B, Moonshine, and Emily de Molly are always open and Lyn B often has 50% off sales. She sends the codes if you sign up for emails.
You can buy polish individual from the makers’ sites or you can use a stockist and get a bunch of different brands in one purchase. Color4Nails is the biggest US-based stockist (and they carry some of my favorites like Tonic and Illyrian) but if you don’t mind the wait, Netherlands-based Hypnotic Polish has some unique brands (like Starrily <3). CbL (Colors by Llarowe) is also a good brand to start with--nice colors, good formula and a lot of their polishes are opaque enough that you only need one coat (though I’ve heard she’s got some shady business practices, like buying out a supplier and then not selling any of the stock to other makers but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).
Aaannd there’s Polish Pickup. The best and worst thing that has happened to me as far as nail polish is concerned. PPU is an event release on the first weekend of every month. A monthly theme is voted on and then the polish makers create unique polishes specifically for PPU. These are unique, one-of-a-kind polishes that--unless they do a throwback event like they are in July--you can only get the weekend of the release. Remember me making a post crying about not getting Ghosts of the Vault before it sold out? Yeah, that’s from PPU (and it’s coming back in July imma buy like five bottles). The facebook group is the best place to see previews.
Indie brands, for the most part, are 5-free, which means they don’t use the top 5 most harmful chemicals in their polishes. Mainstream brands don’t really do this because those chemicals make the polishes more durable, anti-chip, and long lasting. Personally, extra maintenance is worth not having those chemicals bbuuttt I also change my polish before it would chip anyway.
So yeah, I like nail polish a lot.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk

The Emoji Movie
Recently I’ve noticed that we’ve received a few asks on “The Emoji Movie” to why it suffered from so much backlash when it’s supposedly media aimed at children, which by default: shouldn’t be taken too seriously, especially from adults (since it’s not targeted towards them). Mod S did a great job talking about the big issues to why the negativity was rooted in ageism and I very much appreciated xir opinions, but I also would like to put my own two cents in the matter to why people hated it so much.
Ageism aside, I believe that there’s also a more general reason that the people loathed the movie (even when it hasn’t come out yet). I’ve seen many, many reviewers brought up the common reason: it’s because of the FALSE HYPE. Or as the pros call it “false advertising”.
I’m well aware that the biggest reason why the movie got so much hate is because it makes fun of millennials, provides a false, baby-boomer-esque angle on our need for technology, and overall just... extremely cringey with its efforts to ALSO be relatable to teens. The producers DID want to market this movie to a wider audience - not just kids - but the older consumers would consider this to be a mockery, who wouldn’t? Naturally, they aren’t happy. But I digress.
The movie’s producers branded it to be this relateable, progressive telling of self-discovery and "a look at our world”. Relateable, perhaps to a very young audience yes. But progressive? As in the movie wants to teach life-lessons? Like, in a serious manner?
T.J.Miller, the leading voice actor of our protagonist “Gene” have had this to say:
“It’s got a feminist agenda, but not in a preachy way,” Miller said ahead of the film’s release on Friday. “Men should be expressive, women should be able to be feminine and girly while at the same time being assertive and strong protagonists.”
Sounds like a good thing to do right? A subversive take on the sexist and harmful stereotypes enforced by society’s gender binary. A lot of studios have been doing similar stuff for decades now, so would it be so wrong for The Emoji Movie to tackle big issues to children too? Yeah well with the kind of “feminism” in the movie, I’m not surprised why the older audience are angry.
There’s only one woman along the protags, and the main villain is *gasps* ALSO A WOMAN? Jailbreak is a tomboy ex-princess emoji who denied her femininity, but in a very “I’m not like those other girls” kinda way. She’s hyped up to be this genius hacker throughout the beginning of the movie, but her role is......... very insignificant. She didn’t do anything of value, she’s mediocre, she didn’t show any extensive knowledge on technology even when she’s branded as a so-called “hacker” (girl couldn’t even get pass a firewall smh). Her roles only succeeded when there’s the help of the COMIC-RELIEF, who is, surprise surprise, a man. The comic-relief, AKA the most annoying and supposedly most useless character, was the reason why this genius hacker succeeded in her attempts.
Jailbreak also presents this “annoying feminist” image that people LOVES to drag Tumblr for: all talk, no backbone. Like how one reviewer put it: she’s written like how the producers (white cishet men) THINK a feminist is like. As mentioned, she’s the tomboy who dislikes her femininity (typical cookie-cutter “I’m not like other girls” trope), and sure, in the end she learned to embrace her femininity and stopped thinking of it as a bad thing, and it saved the day! But the progress to get there was super rushed, and really doesn’t hold much water to her character development. Frankly, it’s more of a plot convenience, if anything. If this is what the “feminist agenda” looks like in The Emoji Movie, then I don’t think it’s sending a progressive message, ESPECIALLY to younger girls.
Bottom line is: The Emoji Movie doesn’t know what’s it’s doing. It wants to be a mindless funtime for the kiddies, but at the same time a piece of media worthy of attention and to be taken seriously. For starters, no glorified advertisements this heavy with brand-names and sponsors would EVER be taken seriously. And secondly, if you want to be a progressive take on gender roles, but you’re using the same old same old tropes and cliches, on top of an extremely generic and overdone plot, then it’s destined to end up in a dumpster fire. OPing it up with false hype only makes it more worthy of the anger.

New York City is a city of pop ups. We’ve been to a few here and there while living in other cities, but it seems like in NYC you can visit a new pop up weekly. We love that they create a sense of urgency to check them out and almost parallels the fact that we set up shop in a city for a year. It’s like our home office is a pop up too!

What is a Pop Up?
So before we get into the pop up shops we’ve been to, let’s talk about what a pop up is in the first place. Essentially, it is a business that opens for a limited time with a clear st and end date. They come in many different forms but most of them are exclusive or special in some way. The goal is never to be permanent. Sometimes they are only around for a month or they’ll stick around for a year before moving to another city (sounds like us right?).
Technically homegrown pop ups are everywhere. They are as simple as someone putting up an umbrella and selling products in a busy area. They are also your Halloween stores, Christmas shops, and firework stands. But as their popularity has increased, much more extravagant pop ups are being used by companies for marketing purposes. Most of the time, they are aimed to be very Instagram friendly.
Because we’re always popping up in a new city, we’ve pnered with CORT during our time in NYC. It helps us worry less about our space so that we can focus on exploring the city! Plus, we think our place looks pretty good

Types of Pop Ups
Pop Up Shops – Temporary stores. We see a lot of these, especially during the holidays.
Pop Up Restaurants – Some are run by chefs who are trying something experimental while others are more traditional restaurants with plans only to stay open for a few months. Also you can check out this blog post CORT did about the Popularity of Pop-Up Restaurants.
Pop Up Art Installations – They can be more traditional installations, but often times now, they are also meant to create photo opportunities for Instagram. We also included some exhibitions in this category.
Pop Up Events – These cover the rest. They can come in the form of an impromptu listening py to release a new album, to a temporary themed bar. These are typically meant to create hype around an upcoming event, release, or product.

Unlike most pop ups, Color Factory spent more time on the experience rather than setting up little studio spaces to take photos. Several rooms had a snack or dessert that complemented the room. Candytopia in Midtown
145 W 32nd Street, map
When: August 15 – January 6, 2019 Admission: $34, get tickets here
Candytopia celebrates all things ! Maybe we should let the families have this one. There were tons of kids (at least the time slot we went to – the first one in the morning). They all ran straight for the confetti and marshmallow pit, and at one point there was a kid crawling over me with no parents in sight.
Needless to say, it was extremely difficult to get any photos. Luckily, when it was time for everyone to get out of the pit, we asked if we could have an extra minute for a photo, which the lackluster employees did not seem happy about. Gotta do what you gotta do for the gram (or in my case, the blog).

Room for Tea in TriBeCa

Five different scenes celebrating its diversity. You also get a free Boba at the end. Admission is $23 or $33 including a ceremony.
Pint Shop by Museum of Ice Cream, Chelsea
459 W 14th St, 10014, map
When: June 6 – August, 2018. Wednesday to Monday 12pm-9pm Admission: Free to Enter. Tasting Room $28.
Interactive grocery experience featuring immersive installations. There will also be a Tasting Room that costs $28 and weekly Pint Sessions from June 14th to July 12th.
When we visited during the week, there was still a line waiting to enter, but since we had Tasting Room tickets, they let us in right away. Once inside, we waited to take photos in each of the giant pints and walked around the grocery aisles. Five minutes before our tasting, we headed to the back.
The tasting was a lot of fun! It’s less of a tasting and more of a science experiment. You get to throw on lab coats, learn about flavoring ice cream, and even taste different types of vanilla. Afterwards, you get a sampling of each of their flavors. The best p is that everyone who does the a tasting gets to take a pint home!
Grown Up Flowers by Playlab: 5/2018
These are 6 inflatable flower installations scattered throughout Midtown (4 are in or near the Rockefeller Center). 5 of them are outside and the purple one is inside the Hippodrome NYC.
Bob's Burgers Pop Up - Dec 2017
We’re both obsessed with Bob’s Burgers, so when we heard about a Bob’s Burger Pop Up, we were willing to wait hours in line to try the burger of the day. They served a different burger from the show every day for a week. It also included some goodies, which was a nice surprise.
Raquel's Dream House - MAY 2018
Multiple floors presenting pieces and furniture that you can purchase. A few fun photo spots too!
Google Pop Up - December 2017
This is probably still our favorite pop up. Google had photo opportunities set up and a truck outside where you could print your face on a marshmallow and then drink it. They had stations to learn more about products and a shoppable section for Google Home products.
Festival of Life by Yayoi Kma - December 2017
The Egg House - May 2018
It’s all about eggs! With 5 different areas to explore (and photograph), enjoy egg themed decor and follow the story of Ellis the Egg. We loved the amount of light in this space and took advantage of all the photos ops. Egg treats from Eggloo and other egg merch is available for sale.
General Tips for Visiting Pop Ups
Best time to visit is weekdays during the day and right before it opens. Some of the more popular pop ups have a long wait.
If shooting with a DSLR, don’t use auto white balance for many of these places especially if you’re in a room with a lot of unnatural colors (ie yellows at Egg House and blues at Dream Machine). We recommend using Kelvin and finding the right setting for your camera.
Bring a versatile lens and a wide angle if you want to include more of the environment in the shot. A lot of these rooms are small, so the wide angle helps a lot. We couldn’t take certain shots with our DSLR (Canon 5D Mark III + 35mm Lens) because it wasn’t wide enough so we just used our phones.

How To Find the Latest NYC Pop Up Events?
This one is tough! Most of them make announcements relatively last minute, so these are some ways to stay up-to-date.
Bookmark this page since we’ll be updating this post as often as possible with new events.
Set up Google Alerts to see what’s popping up in the news. If you’re not familiar with this, go to the Google Alerts page and enter “pop up new york, pop up” into the Create an Alert section. You can then select how often you want to receive emails (as it happens, daily, or weekly). I do daily.
Follow Instagram accounts that are constantly featuring pop ups and events. You can follow our accounts (EstherJulee & JacobTheFu). We post stories from pop ups immediately. Also, you absolutely need to follow our friend at FOMOFEED who does a ton of research to hunt down all the best spots in NYC.
With so many pop ups in the city, we’re going to do our best to feature all our favorites on this blog post, but if you know of any pop ups you think we should check out, send us a message at [email protected].

Chapter 1: Lovely discovery
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Asami/Akihito
Contains: mature language
Warnings: EXTREME ooc-ness, fluff, sex scenes.
Summary: Akihito gets pregnant, what will happen?
Disclaimer: I don't own the viewfinder series Yamane Ayano does.
My note: I don't know if I will add another chapter, it depends on if anybody likes it…
04/18 9:35 Friday
Akihito woke op noticing that once again Asami wasn't there. He decided to stay home today, as he didn't have any jobs for the next week. He hadn’t been feeling well for about 2 weeks now. The first week wasn't too bad; he rarely had any problems while doing his work. However the week after was different. He was hungry, his head hurt and his stomach felt unstable. This Monday he had decided to take a couple of days off, his friends had said his sickness was probably from overexertion. He hadn't told Asami that he quit working for a while, afraid he would take advantage of him and fuck him till next Sunday. To keep up appearances he left Asami's apartment every morning pretending to go to work. While he actually when to the park or, on rainy days, the library. He would leave in the evening when he felt like it or the building closed.
When he got up he felt a strange feeling in his stomach. It felt vaguely familiar and he had the feeling it meant something bad. After several minutes of pondering he decided to take a shower. When he got out he noticed that his waist seemed bigger than usual, he rubbed over it with his hand, 'had he gained weight?' Then it hit him; he knew how he knew this feeling!
When he was 17 he had a boyfriend. They loved each other dearly but it changed after they first had sex. Akihito had felt a strange feeling in his stomach, when he noticed it grew he started to get worried. His ‘mother' was a bearer and keeping that in mind, the likely problem was obvious. He was pregnant. He had told his lover about it and they went to hospital. They confirmed his guess and the two boys had a fight about the baby. Akihito wanted to keep it but his lover didn't, having a child would be bothersome. They had only been 17 at the time and both planned to go to college. He said he never wanted to have children. Akihito was furious, how could he say that! Akihito eventually decided to keep the child and raise it alone. His family was supportive but Akihito decided to move out and live on his own. He would be a parent in a few months; he couldn’t live under his parents roof forever.
He thought back to that time….
He was so happy, he was 8 months pregnant when it went wrong. His ex-lover, his child's father suddenly appeared yelling and screaming telling him to abort the baby. He HATED that guy, how could he have fallen for him?! Akihito had wondered at the time. He screamed back and they got in a fight, suddenly his ex snapped, he grabbed Akihito smashed him against the wall and knocking him out in the process. He didn't remember anything after that. He had woken up in a hospital bed where a doctor along with his family told him he had lost the baby. He felt heartbroken; the child he had carried for 8 months was gone, murdered by his own father!
His family had sued the man and won. He was sentenced for 10 years in prison. Akihito had planned to visit him after multiple weeks of therapy, when he heard he was killed after only four weeks in prison. Akihito was shocked even if he had killed their child and treated him like shit, he still remember all the nice times they had. He didn't go to his funeral; he couldn't show his face to that guys parents, who had never approved of their relationship and had labeled Akihito a liar during the trail.
End of flashback…
Akihito sighed, just thinking back made him feel depressed. But that wasn't important now. The matter at hand was that he might be pregnant again. He ran to the bedroom and dressed hastily. Then he fetched his walled and took the elevator. A quick trip to the drugstore later found him sitting on the toilet in shock.
He stared at the stick in disbelieve. He looked at the plus on the small screen and he growled. He was in trouble, what was he going to tell Asami? "Hi welcome back, how was work? I am pregnant by the way…" Like that was going to work, he sighed again… He should have watched out better. He knew what the doctor had told him….
Flashback…
"Akihito-kun I would like to tell you something about your situation. Being a bearer is not the same as being female. Your body works about the same but it is different. For example, a woman can get pregnant every month, while you can only get pregnant one day every 2 ½ months."
Akihito looked surprised "I didn't know, are there any more differences?" The doctor smiled. "Not as important as this one, however most males that got children got twins, triplets or even more. You are quite fortunate to only carry one." Akihito looked shocked, one child already seemed like much. He couldn’t imagine having to take care of three or four at the same time! "Thank you doctor, I will remember..."
End of flashback…
He got up, he needed to see a doctor to talk about this. He wouldn't tell Asami, it was way t0o awkward. The man didn’t seem like the parental time anyway. Akihito first wanted to get his thoughts in order before even mentioning it to Asami. Best be prepared for rejection a second time. He wasn't sure what to do yet, but one thing he knew for sure: he wouldn't let anybody harm his baby, never again...
04/18 11:47 Friday
Akihito walked into the waiting room, it felt so nostalgic the last time he was here was 6 years ago. He walked to the counter. An old lady with white hair 'till her shoulder sat there. Akihito smiled, he recognized the old lady. She had helped him through his first pregnancy. She looked up, a smile appeared on her wrinkled face "Akihito-chan I haven't seen you since a while, how is it with your little girl? You suddenly stopped coming, did something happen?" Akihito smiled bitterly. He hadn't spoken or seen the old lady since he had lost his baby girl. He felt guilty, the old woman had given him so much care and help. She even took him in her house when he had an emotional period. That he had lost the baby would have brought her a lot of grief, so he hadn't told her.
Haruna-chan looked at him in worry, the kid had such a sad expressing on his face. She wondered what had happen to the cheerful happy boy? He had been overjoyed when he had first seen his daughter on the echo. But now nothing of that happiness was exposed on his face, just pain and grief. 'Akihito-chan? What happened?"
He looked up seeing the worried look of the old lady and he decided to tell her what had happened to his little girl…
She looked shocked when he finished talking, sadness and compassion showing in her eyes. She had worked in the hospital he went to so many years ago. She must have heard about his daughter. "So why are you here today? I hope it's not just to see me?"
He smirked; the old lady had always had an odd sense of humor. "I am here to get a pregnancy exam, does Mira-san still work here?" She looked at the boy's belly tenderly smiling when she saw the smallest hint of a baby bump. "Yes she still works here I will make an appointment right away, do you want to have it today or another time?" "Today, if that would be possible."
She nodded and told him he could come back at 2:30 pm for his appointment. The old lady asked if he could wait for 10 minutes then she would have her break and they would be able to catch up about everything.
04/18 12:10 Friday
They entered the cafeteria together and took a seat at the table where they used to sit every Sunday. Haruna smiled "So tell me, who's the father?" Akihito blushed bright red at the question. He answered in a soft voice which made the old lade laugh "My lover…"
She gave him a worried look "I hope it's a nice person, does he treat you well?" Akihito wanted to give a honest answer but he couldn't. If he told the lady about their nightly activities she would disapprove, not to mention it was too embarrassing to say. He had no other chose but to avoid the question "I love him dearly," he said while turning even redder. The old lady smiled, that answer was good enough for her.
Akihito decided to ask the lady a question to get of topic "so what have you been doing?" The lady smiled, he could see the warmth in her eyes "I started dating someone…" Akihito was pleasantly surprised, he loved the old lady and had worried about her being single at her age. He decided to answer her the same question "Does he treat you well, do you love him?" She smiled. "He is going to be my future husband, and I love him dearly."
Akihito and the Haruna continued to talk until 4:56 pm when they suddenly noticed the time. They hurried back to the hospital so they would still be in time for Akihito's appointment.
When he walked into the room he saw Mira-san smile at him. He felled his heart skip a beat, he hadn't been this nervous in a while. He sat onto the bed and laid down. He hoped his baby was healthy, he wouldn't be able to suffer through another miscarriage. The old lady noticed his discomfort and softly squeezed his hand.
04/18 15:35 Friday
1 hour later, Akihito was sitting in a restaurant he had decided to spoil himself. He looked at the pictures on the table in front of him, his cute children. He was happy that they were all healthy. He had even cried when he heard the news, it was still too early to see the genders yet. He wondered what his children would look like, like him or like Asami. Akihito felt a warm feeling pass through his body, at the thought of his lover. He wondered if Asami would be a good dad, he smiled imagining Asami carry a baby boy or girl. Their baby boy or girl. The waiter brought his food and he decided to dig in.
04/18 15:55 Friday
At Asami's office…
He had just finished an annoying meeting with a politician. The man had been extremely annoying, he kept on nagging about nothing. He really needed a cigarette and his cute pet. He snapped his finger, 2 men came in immediately, one with a cigarette the other with a box. He smiled, he accepted the box while the other main lighted the cigarette. He waved to the door and the men hurried out. He opened the box containing a full rapport about his lover's actions and an envelope filled with pictures. He frowned; his boy had gotten a pregnancy test? Did he get someone pregnant? Asami got annoyed; did the boy cheat on him? He would make the kid explain this to him in detail when he got home.
04/18 17:21 Friday
Akihito unlocked the door and walked into the hall. While taking his shoes off he spotted Asami's shoes. He was surprised, Asami was never home this early. He walked into the dark living room, something was off. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder, Asami's dark husky voice whispered in his ear "So my kitten is home? Could you explain to me what you did this morning?" Akihito shivered. He sounded angry, what was he angry about? He opened his mouth and slowly and whispered "work…"
Asami's grip tightened "What kind of work?" Akihito started to get scared, Asami was never aggressive against him outside of bed. What had he done this morning to make him this angry? He suddenly realized, he had bought the pregnancy test. But that wasn't a thing to get angry about right? What was going on in Asami's head?
Asami's POV
His kitten was still quiet, as if he was thinking up a excuse. It annoyed him, he had hoped that Akihito would get angry. Then he would have thrown him on their bed and fuck him all night. He would have made the kid tell him who he got pregnant. And gotten rid of the woman. But his plan wouldn't work if Akihito was this nervous. WHO THE HELL was this girl to get his kid in this state? He decided to get straight to the point, this wasn't going anywhere. He whispered into the brat's ear "Who was the pregnancy test for?"
Akihito
Akihito froze on the spot, Asami knew he had bought the test! It was to be expected, he hadn't looked out for any guards following him. He had been in such a hurry. He cursed himself, why hadn't he looked out better?! There was no going back now, he had to tell Asami. He softly turned around, so he could look into his lovers eyes. He opened his mouth "The test was for me" Akihito said in a trembling voice. Asami narrowed his eyes. Akihito noticed this. "I am pregnant." When Akihito said this Asami burst out in laughing "You're a male, you can't get pregnant. If you don't want to tell me you have to come up with a better excuse Takaba. " He was shocked Asami didn't believe him? And he called him by his last name. He was really angry. Akihito opened his mouth to explain "I am a bearer, I can have children."
Asami expression stayed blank, was the kid telling the truth? He had heard about males that were able to have children. He had never met one before. He stared at Akihito, his beautiful hazel eyes where filled with anticipation. He was waiting for his answer. He sighed, he had no other choice but to believe his pet "I want proof."
Akihito nodded, he was happy Asami believed him. He opened his bag and took out the foto's, baby foto's from this morning. He handed them to Asami.
He stared at the pictures in his hands, was this really inside his pets belly? Akihito grabbed his hand and placed it on his belly with a smile. He felt a soft kick…
Another note: Just so you know Akihito is 2 months pregnant, not two weeks he just started to get morning sickness. Sorry for the confusion…

The Magizoologist and The Siren
Paring- Newt Scamander X Siren/human Reader
A/N- go check out @newts-case-of-imagines version as well that she will be posting soon, she’s an amazing writer! Also go check out Dark Waltz by Hayley Westenra it’s the song sung in this fic, it’s beautiful.
Warnings- None just Newt being a cinnamon roll
Summary- How would Newt react to meeting dolphin and a beautiful siren
Based off of my image, link here-> http://gondorgirl01.tumblr.com/post/155730774528/can-we-just-take-a-moment-and-imagine-newt
Word count- 2200 ops
It was a warm pleasant June day of 1920, the wind was soft and the sun peeked out from the cotton-like clouds to say hello to down below. A beautiful siren sat on a rock called Heron’s Nest, in the bay. The young siren was arranging a crown of delicate shells and shining pearls upon her (H/C) head. Her voice rang out a melody her mother taught her as a child.
*We are the lucky ones We shine like a thousand suns When all of the color runs together
I’ll keep you company In one glorious harmony Waltzing with destiny forever
Dance me into the night Underneath the moon shining so bright Turning me into the light
Time dancers whirling past I gaze through the looking glass And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven
Sacred geometry Where movement is poetry Visions of you and me forever
Dance me into the night Underneath the moon shining so bright Turning me into the light
Dance me into the night Underneath the full moon shining so bright Let the dark waltz begin
Oh let me wheel, let me spin Let it take me again Turning me into the light*
After she had finished her melody she heard a applaud of a dolphin. The siren looked to the below her and there swam Rosie, her befriended dolphin.
“Why thank you, that’s quiet kind of you to say.” The siren’s voice laugh out.
Rosie squeaked out again telling news to her friend.
“A wizard with a hippocampus!?” The siren cried “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” She said irritated.
The dolphin squeaked out irritated by her comment.
“Okay okay! I get it! Lead me to where he is.” She sighed out then followed the now guiding dolphin.
Rosie lead the siren to an abandoned muggle dock. There kneeled a man with cinnamon colored hair with the hippocampus in water, at the edge of the dock.
The siren swam closer to the wizard, intrigued by him. She realized, something she was not expecting, the man young was speaking to the in a soft, gentle, mother-like way to the young hippocampus while he seemed to be guiding it through the water with reins.
“There you go Fred you got it!” The man smile brightly. “See no hands!” He raised his hands up with joy. The hippocampus whinnied in fear when he realized the young man was no longer guiding him.
“Hey, hey.” he said claiming while he grabbed the reins once more. “Shh, it’s alright, I won’t let go until you’re ready.” The young man soothed the hippocampus and stroked the creature’s jaw. “I know it quite different from the pool in the case, but it’s really not that bad, once you get use to it.”
The beautiful siren was enchanted by the wizard and he was so caring towards the hippocampus, something that was extremely uncommon among magical people, especially muggles.
Rosie too seemed like the wizard as well and swam towards him, placing herself in his view.
When the wizard saw Rosie he laugh out in excitement and joy.
“Fred look! It a..um. dolphin, one the very few muggle beats that are friend and unfrightened by magical once. Supposedly dolphins and your kind naturally create a great friendship. I’ve have always wanted to study one in person.” The man exclaimed like a child on Christmas morning.
The hippocampus, now calm and no longer frightened with the company of Rosie, began to swim and play with her.
The cinnamon haired wizard called to her to come to him, when she did as he wished, he began to gently pet her silky snout and head.
“Stay here, I’ll be right back” He made a hand gesture to stay.
He stood up and ran over to a light brown case a few feet away, opened it, and entered.
He had had been to excited of his new discovery to realize the siren intently watching him, with her chin resting on her arms placed on the dock to his far right.
The two creates entertained themselves with each other while the wizard was away. A few minutes later He reappeared from the case and returned to his original place with a book, journal and quill in his hand.
He opened the book and skimmed through the pages until he seemed to find what he was looking.
“So if you’re a male yo-” He was cut of by the siren saying, “She a female and her name is Rosie.”
The wizard was jumped, spooked by the sirens voice, lost his balance, and fell into the water with a splash.
She placed a hand over her mouth with gasp half laugh.
He emerged from the water’s surface with a gasp. When turned his head towards the siren his mouth partly open and his eyes were glued to the exquisite being. He didn’t seem to register the being was a siren and sirens used their beautiful features and voice to drag men into the sea to their death.
He snapped out of his gaze and tried to quickly reach for his wand resting on the dock. But she was quicker, she pulled out her own wand that was securely placed in her shell-crown and point towards the wizard.
“I won’t hurt you. Back down and I’ll do the same.” She warned.
He seemed so confused and shocked by the whole situation, but did as he was told.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you think that I would cast a harmful spell on you. If you were hostile and attacked me it would mean another reasons for the Ministry of Magic to believe sirens are dangerous.” He calmly stated as he held his hands in front of him not in a defensive way but in a showing he meant peace.
“Very well I trust you.” She lowered her wand. “Most wizards would kill me for my precious scales and hair, but you were gentle and kind towards both the hippocampus and Lily that I know you truly mean no harm.” Her (E/C) eyes pierced his, he felt a shiver go down his back. “And I admirer how you handled beats.” She cooed with her silver voice.
His face turned a bright red by her compliment.
“And you going to get out the water or are you going to stare at me with your mouth open like a codfish?” She charmed with a smile.
He nervously laugh then he climbed onto the deck, dipping water from his drenched clothing. He turned back to entertained sea creatures and watched with smile then turned back (H/C) siren.
“Might I ask what’s your name, how did you come by a wand and where did you learn to use it? And the name is Newt Scamander.” He curiously questioned as he sat down in front of her.
“My name is (Y/N) (L/N), the daughter of a wizard named (Y/F/N) and a siren named (Y/M/N) and a graduated student of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. I lived on land with my parents from birth till age nineteen.”
Newt was greatly interested my (Y/N) and continued to ask more questions. “Did your mother create a spell or poison to live on land? And do you have to do the same thing?”
“My father was a brilliant poison maker, he created a poison for my mother so they could be together. I have no need for the poison, as soon as I’m no longer in water my tail transforms into legs and my gills disappear.” She gestured behind her ear and rib cage to where her gills were.
“Fascinating. Absolutely fascinating.” He smiled, a beautiful white smile that created creases around his stunning hazel eyes. (WHAT COLOR ARE HIS EYES!HAZEL, GREEN, BLUE, GOLD?!)
“So what about you Newt? What’s your story?” She purred.
Newt became quite flustered with the flirtatious siren, something he rarely experienced, especially with someone so lovely as her.
“There’s not much to me.” He laught nervously “I’m a Magizoologist, I’m traveling the world to study magical creatures to help me write a novel of how to understand them as protect them, and I attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
It was as if (Y/N)’s eyes were searching his to reveal if he meet ill will or he wasn’t who he said he was. This made Newt uncomfortable, not in a way that she would reveal something bad about himself, but in a way like staring at something so beautiful and bright it made his eyes hurt. Plus he wasn’t overly fond of eye contact.
(Y/N) not anything finding displeasing suggested with her silky voice, “Well Newt sense you appear to have a great interest in dolphins would you like to met more than one?”
His smiled a white, bright, and ecstatic smile. “I love to.”
(Y/N) smiled, happy he had accepted her offer. “Go ahead and take off your clothes beside you undergarments, get in the water, and I’ll call the dolphins towards us.”
Newt was a hesitant at first, but did what she said.
(Y/N) heard a splash behind her as she swam a few feet away from the dock, towards Rosie and Fred. She sang out an enchanting melody, it didn’t contain any lyrics just different beautiful pitches and tunes.
She has the most stunning voice Newt had ever heard. He now knew why it so easy for a siren to drown a man to death.
They saw in the distant a something jump up out of the water then back in.
“It’s interesting how they swim like that.” (Y/N) heard Newt say beside her.
“They travel in pods.” She stated
After a few minutes the dolphins arrived, they travel faster when they hear a siren’s call. There were twelve total not counting Rosie.
“These are bottlenose dolphins, I’ve known them since they were born.” (Y/N) loving cooed as one of them affectionately rubbed against her.
“Their magnificent!” Newt said in awe as he petted one’s back and another nudging its snout under his arm to grab his attention.
“Yes, yes I see you.” He laughter at the dolphin.
“His name is Percy, his one of the youngest of the pod and the other one you’re petting is named Georgia.” She said happily
“Well aren’t you beauty Georgia.” He hummed. The female dolphin squeaked as if she were saying thank you.
“They adore you Newt.”
Newt didn’t replied right away but blush heavily. “Well I adore them too.”
The siren, I guess one would say, was falling in love with him, which was not common for a siren to truly fall in love a wizard.
“Newt would you like to see them do a dance underwater? Well it’s more of coordinated swim.”
“They can do that!? Extraordinary! The muggle book nothing about that!” He asked amazed. “Oh and um.. yes I’d love to watch.”
They emerged themselves in the clear blue water. Newt thought (Y/N), if even possible, looked even more lovely underwater, with her hair flowing elegantly, the scales of her (F/C) fin shining brightly in the light, and her body moving gracefully through the water,
Newt snapped out of his daydreaming when in the corner of his eye he saw movement. The dolphins, along with Fred, were doing a graceful dance, like (Y/N) said, over and under around through and through. (just quoted a lullaby)
He wanted to watch more but his lungs disagreed. He was started to swim to the surface but a hand clasped onto his wrist, it was (Y/N). She came face to face with him and place her lips on his, blowing oxygen into his lungs. Even in the blue water she could she his vibrant red blush. She giggled sending out bubbles.
The dolphins were soon over with dance and Newt along with (Y/N) swam to the surface.
Newt stayed there throughout the rest of the day, learning as much as he could about dolphins and slowing falling in love with extraordinary young siren.
“(Y/N)” Newt softly hummed as they both watched the sunset while sitting on the beach with their waist still in the water. “(Y/N), would you be willing to travel with me around the world to study magical creatures.” Snapped her head towards Newt. “I know it’s a lot to ask for you leave your this place and your dolphins, but never meet someone like before, someone so kind towards creatures. You would make would make a wonderful partner, not it just for business.” He said. (Y/N) could tell he’d been thinking of this matter for awhile.
“Newt Scamander are you asking me to be your partner and confessing your feeling to me?” (Y/N) amusingly purred.
Newts expression turned bashful. “Well, yes. Like I said I think your a wonderful being and I think I’m falling in love with you.”
(Y/N) giggled as she gently pushed Newt down onto his back in the wet sand and caged his head between her hands.
“I’d be honored to be your travel partner and I think I’m falling in love with you too.” She whispered the last part as she brushed her nose with his and captured her lips with his in a deep passionate kiss.
They pulled away for some much needed air then they heard whining and squeaking behind them from Rosie and Fred cheering them on.
Both Newt and (Y/N) burst into laughter. “Well we must get going love we have much to explore and to discover.”
And this was just the being a great journey for the Magizoologist and the Siren.
The End
A/N- Hope you liked it and please give me feedback! :D

The Federation’s clandestine shadow agency Section 31 has had a storied history in the Star Trek mythology and plays a significant role in the Second Season of Star Trek Discovery when it becomes an unwitting conspirator in the plans of a sinister AI.
Its mission has always been to seek out new life and new civilizations, but even the Federation has to rely on extreme measures, outside of diplomacy, in order to keep the peace throughout the galaxy. That’s where Section 31 comes in. The “black ops” arm of Starfleet works on the fridges and deals with the grey areas, the often undesirable extremes and methods few want to admit are sometimes necessary evils in maintaining and achieving peace.
When Section 31 is infiltrated by an insidious artificial intelligence calling itself Control, it uses its own ships, weapons, and technology against Starfleet in an effort to eradicate all biological life. If not for the efforts of the crews of the USS Discovery and the USS Enterprise, Control might have succeeded in its plans. Among the ships, it subverts into its armada is the Stealth Ship, designated NCIA-93 and commanded by Captain Leland, and Control is able to remotely launch a blitzkrieg against Starfleet using thousands of Section 31 Drones.
Continuing to elaborate on its high-end line of collectible models and fan-favorite items, Eaglemoss Collections has carefully recreated for both of these ships for the Star Trek: Discovery The Official Starships Collection giving fans an opportunity to check out the newest designs depicted for the 23rd Century of Star Trek. Diehard trekkers are always happy for more, and with the success of the Star Trek: Discovery on the subscriber-based CBS All Access, it recently launched a new Original Series Star Trek: Picard.
Ships of the Line
Imagine having to design a Starfleet ship that instead of openly represents harmony and peace, lurks in the depths of the shadows of darkest space. For concept artist Ryan Dening, giving a distinct identity to the undercover operations of Section 31, took shape in the form of the Stealth Ship which appeared early on the Second Season of Star Trek: Discovery. Fans of the mythology were already fully versed in the shady activity attached to Section 31. The powerful dreadnought the USS Vengeance which appeared in Star Trek Into Darkness established a look.
Taking his initiative from the “very familiar” design of that ship, Dening pursued a sleeker and more aggressive design when approaching the smaller Stealth Ship. The mandate was obvious: since Section 31 operates outside of the Federation’s charter of peaceful space exploration, it didn’t have to look like the typical Starfleet vessel. Examining the model, which measures approximately 8 inches in length, with its reflective black hull which allows it to blend in with the darkness of space, the Stealth Ship appears dangerously predatory — like a bat.
The overall angular design and its ability to fold its nacelles to reshape its configuration, add to the ship’s ominous appearance. A favorite feature of the model is the attention diving to the detail of the decisively different nacelles; long and sleek fans will appreciate the “dominant” look. Dening was inspired by contemporary stealth fighters, which are all as he describes “quite smooth” along the surface. Dening also applied a similar idea to the Section 31 Drone which is a remotely controlled, single-pilot fighter.

for the longest time, i couldn't put a pin on what felt “wrong.” there was always something about my body that never quite felt right. some soul searching later, i connected the dots to chest dysphoria. a year ago today, i got top surgery. what feels like an event that never actually happened, reflecting on the decision to have it is something that i will never regret. looking down at my chest now, seeing scars, and what feels to me as battle wounds, reminds of the times i looked down at my chest and got an immense feeling of being uncomfortable. it reminds me of the people in my life who questioned my decision in fear of me regretting this or being too young to decide something so “big.” to say that i feel as if this event never really happened is me realizing that the only memories i have of myself and my pre op chest are those of pain and confusion. i look down now, and it feels as if this a state my body has been in forever. to say i feel as if these are battle wounds, is to feel like i had something to prove to about the state of my dysphoria to people who didn't get it, jump through hoops with medical providers to “prove” i had enough dysphoria, and phone calls and wait lists that felt like a never ending game of hide and go seek. to love my body has been a rollercoaster, though i will say being post op makes it a lot easier. i will never forget the moment of putting on a binder for the first time, a challenge in itself, looking in the mirror and wanting to cry because although what i saw wasnt a flat, perfect, chest, it was different to what i had been looking at before and that sparked the most happiness i had felt in a while about my body. i remember trying to muster up the courage to have conversations about the way i felt in fear of judgement, to say that the reaction i recieved was the polar opposite would be an understatement and to that moment, i can never be thankful enough. when i needed support and love through the confusion of my body, feelings and emotions it was there, and i am the most grateful to have been in that situation. when looking in the mirror and seeing my hips, something i am not able to change, is the last thing about myself that truly makes me cringe. to look and know that to some my hips define me as once female, makes this non-binary body i attempt to love a challenge. while thinking that top surgery would solve it all was an extremely high standard to set for myself. although i am grateful for the opportunity to alieve my chest dysphoria, and live as an out and proud queer person, loving the rest of myself including the physical traits that make me feel inherently “feminine” is a mystery still waiting to be solved. to everyone who has been on this journey of my self discovery, i want to thank you. while the journey never really ends, im gearing up for the twists and turns life will throw at me while navigating the ins and outs of body positivity.

Empowering Children With Low Self Esteem
New Post has been published on http://www.karanschmidt.com/2019/06/24/empowering-children-with-low-self-esteem/
Empowering Children With Low Self Esteem
Empowering Children With Low Self Esteem
Self esteem is a key ingredient in maximizing children’s potential in academic achievement, social success, and personal happiness. This statement alone, was the inspiration behind the motivation for Children’s Story Book ‘ The Magic Sunglasses’ written by Auriel Blanche.(also known as Angela Buck)
We all want to protect our children, keep them from harms way and safeguard them from danger. Fundamentally it is the child’s own inner beliefs and self esteem that is the only thing that can act like armor and create a shield to protect them from the challenges the world has to throw at them. For a child to reach their full potential: self esteem is the primary and most crucial tool. This is the devise that Angela Buck has focused on throughout her child literacy program. She prides herself on actively infusing inspiration to children across the world. By sparking imaginations through her literature, Angela gives the children the freedom to learn and the ability to overcome the negatives life may throw at them. Angela encourages the use of attributes a child has within to enable them to live with independence and self worth.
Angela Buck successfully taps into many children’s spirits on a global scale, making them visualize desirable outcomes and make positive connections with their inner purpose. She does this through her skill of creative and innovative writing which engages children of all ages. Along with her interactive workshops and programs, The Magic Sunglasses, her acclaimed children’s fun fantasy book is a must read for all children in today’s society. Especially for those who are saddened with a low self esteem. Samantha is a character a child with a lack of confidence can relate to. She too hasn’t fully discovered that she has a special value all her own. Throughout the story she finds a power that the reader will be inspired to find in themselves. The books motivation is to show we all have that special value, which we can use to help us live the lives we really want and to be happy. The magic sunglasses in their physical form mysteriously find their way to Samantha. They have wonderful powers which support her and show her what you can do if you really try! The important notion behind the story is that these possibilities are still achievable when she no longer has them. The results this book entails is seen in the readers improvement of personal motivation, their positivity for their own capabilities, their respect for their own special values and the optimisms for their own self worth.
Children with low self-esteem may not want to try new things, and may frequently speak negatively about themselves; they may be over critical, lack confidence and miss out on the fun and learning that other children benefit from. It is known that the use of a child’s imagination helps children to develop their unique personality, beliefs, and strengths. Children work through their problems and explore their feelings while reading this book. Through their new limitless view they are now able to set meaningful and purposeful goals or intentions. Samantha hasn’t any limitations to her dreams; she tries new things and can reach goals without an aid. This can then be relayed in the life of the reader.
Patterns of self-esteem start very early in life. This is why Angela Bucks book is aimed at 7-12 year olds, this age is crucial for developments; emotionally, physically and intellectually. Learning new skills and gaining belief in their potentials are great ways to improve self esteem in children. This is exactly what the themes throughout The Magic Sunglasses inspires to do. They teach the reader to praise themselves and use their imaginations to motivate all welcomed possibilities.
Angela Buck understands that Children with low self esteem need a positive role model. For this reason she created the amazing Samantha. She is always polite and friendly. She is playful and imaginative. She enjoys making her dreams come true and strives to reach her potential. She is a happy child, enthusiastic and charismatic. She is respectful of others and through self discovery learns how to cope with the challenges she faces with optimism and self worth. All of which are attributes that a role model should inspire.
To overcome self esteem issues and lack of confidence we need to Identify and redirect the child’s inaccurate beliefs. Self-esteem is all about the way you judge yourself. Angela strives to promote the ethos of creating a worldwide community of children who have learnt how to value themselves and to use their potential, to live personally successful lives and contribute to the success of others. These aspects are explored through the characters in the book as well as through her interactive workshops, and her new ventures and material. Inaccurate beliefs are created by other inflicting methods surrounding children, i.e. other adults, other children, television, magazines or many other reflective methods. The Magic Sunglasses compromises these inaccurate beliefs and offers a more positive and preferable aspect to life. Samantha the main character doesn’t embellish in perfection, attractiveness or being the best at everything but instead appreciates her own abilities, enjoys her own imagination and strives to promote her own specialties. Along with promoting children’s individual self-discovery and self-esteem Angela has the aim of teaching the importance of discovering others self worth’s and becoming respectfully aware of others. To not only understand their own specialties but to seek and understanding the positives and strengths in everyone. Angela hopes a generation of individuals who grow up with a natural respect for others regardless of race, religion or cultural will one day exist. The practice of imagining themselves in Samantha’s situation is very important for developing compassion, empathy and understanding others fully, by discouraging flawed beliefs and offering inspiration for positive healthy ways of thinking, the child’s self-esteem and confidence will inevitably improve. This will benefit the academic, social and personal development needed at this age.
It is known that a child needs affection and love. Without this it is inevitable that a low self esteem will occur. For this reason The Magic Sunglasses would be a great read to improve the esteem. It is a warming and touching storyline that will be extremely heartfelt by the reader, making them feel happy inside. The transparent messages throughout the book are to teach the children to love themselves. This book will surely strengthen the child’s heart. Positive feedback is always craved by children and important in their learning, for this reason the book encourages own thought and personal creativity. It also encourages using imaginations for possibilities and the motivation for achieving those opportunities. The Magic Sunglasses provides imaginary situations which allow them to practice creative solutions and transcend challenges. Both of which are tools that will set them for life.
A happy living environment is essential in areas of personal confidence and personal valuation. If a child has been constantly criticized, bullied or ignored during early childhood they will have much less child self-esteem than children who are praised, encouraged, listened to and valued. Often it is the case that a child hasn’t had or cannot respond to the praise or encouragement from a parent or teacher alone. This means that it is important that every child has the confidence within themselves to appreciate their own self worth and specialties. All of which are creatively demonstrated with fantastic illustrations in Angela Bucks book. Another aspect to think of is that if a child is experiencing a troubled time they may need an embracive distraction. By reading The Magic Sunglasses an escapism is created for them. An inspirational and imaginative place of positivity and hedonism. A place of fun, friendship and endless possibility. Worry, fear, panic and anxiety are all counteracted with positive images by reading the magic sunglasses, all fantastically created by the amazing author Angela Buck.
Children with unhealthy self-esteem tend to fear interacting with others. They’re uncomfortable in social settings and hate group activities as well as independent pursuits. When challenges arise, they feel negative toward finding solutions and belittle themselves. Children with low self esteem are afraid to say “I don’t understand this.” And therefore do not learn and develop as the others do. They don’t know their strengths and focus on their weaknesses. The Magic Sunglasses give a sense of optimism throughout the story line. An interactive workshop is available just by contacting the author. This is where children can benefit from the participational activities and make friends through the interaction. They are encouraged to have fun, be creative and play imaginatively in order to explore the themes. In small groups the children can concentrate on the issues and communicate openly in discussions. This will enable the individuals within the groups to challenge and understand their own and others fear and problems. They will learn to inspire themselves and others to explore passions and dreams. All children in the previous workshops, enjoyed, learnt and benefitted from them. Many parents noticed differences in their children. Many children improved their self-esteem. Teachers were impressed and as a result were inspired to re-book again and again.
When these stories actually transform a child’s life, bringing joy and happiness to it, you know the story is a winner. This touching, inspirational and heart-warming plot has repeatedly been transformed into optimistic true life stories for many children who have read it. From some of which, Angela has been inundated with positive testimonials, rewarding reviews and written letters of compliments.
“I was told by a friend of mine to get the magic sunglasses for my daughter who is 7, she loved it and I did too. I try to make her realize how special she is and this book was great in explaining this, the pictures were great and Katie loved to read it. In fact shes read it again and again, I will definitely recommend this to children with lack of confidence and parents who think their children may need help in self esteem. ” Barbara Deaglee
“I used to hear my 8-year-old daughter putting herself down, saying things like “I’m so ugly” or “I can’t do anything right.” I tried to assure her that none of these things were true, but nothing I said seemed to make any difference. I gave her The Magic Sunglasses and she loved it. Shes read it a few times now. She is now so much happier, she comes home from school and tells us what shes been good at and she has even joined a dance club. I’d recommend this book to every mum who is worried about their child being down.” Julie Jacobs – Melton Mowbray
“Dear Angela, Thank you very much for your workshop at my childs school last month. She came home excitable telling me about her day, playing games and learning about the magic sunglasses. I thought nothing more of it until I went to a parent teacher meeting. I was told my daughter who is 7 had come out of herself. I know she was a little shy, would be afraid to talk out in class and would shy from asking the teacher for help sometimes, but I was told that she is now much chattier and participates in the classroom discussions more. Im amazed she has even auditioned for the school play. This I have been told has resulted in her grades improving. I have also seen a happier child, she is a lot chattier, has had many new friends round for tea and is very keen on keeping up to date with the website…” David Harper – Oldham
As you can see from these views, Angela Buck is a very inspirational lady, not only to children but to adults and parents over the globe. She shines beacons of light, inspires lasting change and empowers emotionally happy children to reach endless possibilities!!! How refreshing and delightful to benefit from The Magic Sunglasses and see it empower our children’s minds and free their spirits to become flourishing children and ultimately successful adults!
