Okay, not trying to monopolize the inbox lol, but ive been thinking about things all morning, and i want to give context to my reactions to some things because you’re so talented you deserve to know exactly how much this affected me!

- Oh god, Ryen, dont take this from us: “Yoongi decides that he wants more of it. In a lot of other aspects of his life.”

He’s wanting things for himself! Yes, reader was the catalyst, but everyone gets inspired by something, and you kind of have to to come out of dark shit. That he’s gotten to a point where he wants to be better for HIMSELF! In more ways than outside the relationship! I know this was discussed more in the interlude, but this line right here hit me right in the feels. The way you have fully given us this example of what this type of growth looks like, how painful that process can be while it’s happening!

- “If he’s gonna bow out, he’s gonna do all the shit he wants to do first. One last time before reality fully severs the string that shouldn’t have tethered to your heart.” No he’s going to break her… no no no no no

I love that i was proven wrong here, that even if he didn’t open up to her, she would have been okay, that she learned how to be okay for herself!!! It still would have been devastating for me, but she would have been okay!!

- “If it was Yuri instead…” oop!!

Again you explored this further (i just love your writing, man), when she was talking about feeling betrayed. I love this exploration of the role reversal!! I’m guessing when they tell bro or in the build-up to that you’ll go more i to WHY she would feel betrayed… I’m trying to imagine one of my friends dating one of my sisters behind my back, maybe i just hate my sister’s current boyfriend enough that i can’t relate lol

- “Of course, this could just be another byproduct of your worrying, so you blaze past it. No more of that, remember? He’s proven himself over and over that you don’t have to second guess.” Ryen no!!!! How could you!!! Worry, girl worry!!!!

Ryen, I was gonna throw hands if my girl’s non-worrying was punished!!! Seriously though, just the way you show this growth in her thought process and how it can be hard to find where you can trust your instincts, but how she can do that by clearly identifying the external cues that give actual credence to the fear! It’s like a masterclass! I’m taking notes! I feel weird that my feedback is mostly about like… how you demonstrate anxiety… But it’s the way you talk about something so important (at the very least to me, but im guessing a whole lot of people) in a way that’s clear but still entertaining, emotional, is a catalyst for conflict and resolution story-wise in a way that’s true to life. It’s so good!!

My favorite fucking line. Especially bc when i watch videos and clips of real life Yoongi i express this same sentiment all the time lol! Also this as the turning point for her realizing how she impacts him, of not just seeing herself as the recipient of good things in this relationship. Chefs kiss!

- “And you’ll be okay. No matter what happens now, you’ll brave those waters.”

Like i said before, this was so great! The joy i felt here for her! I felt so proud!!

you really do have to get yourself out of dark shit, bc at the end of the day you only have you! and i'm glad you noticed that he wants to be better for himself before anything else. that's the growth that i want all of us to have, not just our beloved 3tan yoongi. and it really can be so painful and scary?? but we will all be better for it when we start that process.

i'm glad you were proven wrong, too! because we all expect the worst (3tan yoongi very much included) but that didn't happen. reader would've been okay because they are so strong, but i'm glad that things unfolded the way they did.

AHHH YES. not a lot of people talked about the realization that reader had when thinking about the situation if it was flipped. like what if bro was hooking up with one of her friends? what if it was one of the friends we are used to seeing?? like that would be awkward as hell!! so why wouldn't reader and yoongi's situation be perceived any differently?

it's always fun to introduce new perspectives, especially when we're so entrenched in one for a long time. reality is a b it ch sometimes so there's that lol

DFLSDFHSD you really brought out to the masterclass word i'm gonna cry!! but yes, i knew reader has matured mentally up to this point - i mean, it's been a few chapters, so.. gotta see some incremental growth throughout them all! to show that growth in different ways is certainly a challenge, but one that i am very fine with trying to overcome.

I feel weird that my feedback is mostly about like… how you demonstrate anxiety… But it’s the way you talk about something so important (at the very least to me, but im guessing a whole lot of people) in a way that’s clear but still entertaining, emotional, is a catalyst for conflict and resolution story-wise in a way that’s true to life. whoa whoa don't feel weird about that at alllll, bus. you know my writing is intentional, so everything i bring up and talk about? you bet it's on purpose.

what is writing if not a little bit of social commentary? anxiety, depression, and any other mental subjects people deal with are prevalent and need to be discussed - and taught accurately about - a lot more. whether people pick up on these subjects while reading or not, i want them to be as normally presented as they would show up in life. because they're there.

we can't shy away from these things or see them as weaknesses, either, bc they are not.

I’m absolutely obsessed with Owari No Seraph/Seraph of the End. It has everything I want in a story

okay this got long so I put a cut

A romance I’m actually invested in: 1) it’s gay, like not even ambiguously gay, like very explicitly gay and it’s remarkable 2) it’s somehow enemies to lovers, best friends to lovers, and childhood friends to lovers ALL AT THE SAME TIME 3) the mutual pining is ridiculous, but manifests in “I MUST PROTECT” 4) omg they’re so devoted to each other???? 5) heavily implied in the anime and manga that they are each other’s reason for living after their trauma

Ambiguous characters: 1) we’ve got not one, not two, BUT THREE HIGH RANKING CHARACTERS within their respective organizations with THEIR OWN AGENDAS, screw whoever gets in their way 2) one of the said lovers from above pairing? Technically, he’s officially on one side, but he makes it very clear he actually doesn’t care about anyone EXCEPT his love interest and actively goes behinds people’s backs all the time to get what he wants. He has exactly 0 trust except for his love interest, which means he’ll literally fight both sides to make sure love interest is safe 3) THE FREAKING QUEEN, at first she’s like in a terrible one sided relationship with one of the characters with like... uh what’s it called? Power imbalance? Like she is 100% in control of this other person because they are wholly dependent on her, and she knows it, and often calls this other person her pet, and like, you think you’re supposed to hate her because she’s one of the contributing factors to the other character’s trauma but then it’s like, wait, actually, maybe she ALSO has ulterior motives and is one of the few people said character can actually trust with their wellbeing and their own interests being the only one who actively helps them with it 4) HMMM THAT SUPER SHADY DEMON/HUMAN ROMANCE YOU KNOW THE ONE IM TALKING ABOUT

Characters that suffer: okay listen, all of the characters have suffered through trauma, but special shout-out to Mika who has gone through my favorite kind of trauma to watch that develops characters. Spoilers for the rest of this paragraph so if you want to check out the show skip over it. okay gone? for real? you okay with getting spoiled if you haven’t seen yet? alright. last chance. Okay so first thing we know about Mika is that he’s an orphan and has a found family with his orphanage group right? even when they’re all being held captive by vampires underground, he at least has his family. Mika goes above and beyond to make sure that despite that they’re essentially just acting as the vampires’ blood-stock that their time there isn’t as bad as it could be. He offers himself up to one of the nobles, saying the noble can suck his blood if he gives him things, so he gets stuff like actual real food for his family to eat. In the manga, you can see that this is really draining on him, but he does it to see his family happy. Mika also knows that his crush absolutely hates it there, so he plans an escape, except oops they all get ambushed by the very noble he stole from and was swindling, and literally everyone gets killed in front of him except his crush, well I guess at the time he was too young for crush, so I’ll just call him Yuu. Anyways. Mika and Yuu manage to knock out the vampire noble working together, but Mika is fatally wounded so only Yuu actually escapes. AND THEN MIKA IS FORCIBLY TURNED INTO A VAMPIRE BY THE QUEEN, like he hates vampires, he considers them monsters, he doesn’t want eternal life or whatever, AND SHE FREAKING TURNS HIM TO KEEP HIM FROM DYING (the way she does it too could be considered traumatizing as well) and then he proceeds to be raised by people he considers monsters and hates that he’s become a vampire, and like does everything in his power to not drink human blood (resorting to drinking the Queen’s blood, and she’s fine with it cuz it keeps him completely dependent on her) like MMMM THAT POWER IMBALANCE IN A WORLD FULL OF THE MONSTERS YOU HATE WHILE BECOMING ONE YOURSELF IS ALREADY DAMAGING ENOUGH, and then he finds out that the very adults he used to trust as a child, were actually just treating him and his found family as guinea pigs and lab rats and that the only people who actually cared about him was his found family, who are all gone except for Yuu who isn’t there, so yeah oops, he hates humans now too. Like mmmm that is some tasty juicy angst right there. It manifests in him never smiling anymore, never speaking, just sitting there stoically. Like this was the little boy who was happy smiles all the time, either when he was genuinely happy with his family or putting on an act to deceive and he’s just so broken after the timeskip that we never see him smile until late in season 2. OH LETS NOT FORGET THE WHOLE VAMPIRE THING RIGHT? Mika doesn’t want to drink blood, but his body compells him to. He refuses to at least drink human blood, which works for a while but by the time the second season rolls around, the queen’s blood just isn’t cutting it anymore and there are so many scenes where his instincts take over and he almost bites someone only to snap out of it last second and start sobbing because he believes he’s becoming a monster. AND THAT’S NOT EVEN ALL OF IT, JUST THE THINGS THAT I LIKED THE MOST TO WATCH

the side characters: While I do think they could use a little bit more development, but that’s probably because they’re not quite rubbing me just the right way like Mika is, so they pale by comparison BUT there are some things I enjoy 1) we’ve got a literal troll on the team. I’ve seen some people call her annoying, but omg I love seeing her troll the others. also she uses a scythe and it’s awesome 2) OMG THERE’S A SWEET BABI BOY ARCHER??? slight spoilers, but my favorite part was when he reveals that his demon decided to give him more powers because he treats his demon like a friend, and talks to it at night before going to bed, sometimes asking it what it’s favorite color is?? 3) okay okay okay, listen, I already like the character by himself, the sniper dude, he’s already great as he’s written. But then add the fact that not only does he look EXACTLY like Victor Nikiverov from Yuri on Ice, BUT HE HAS THE SAME FREAKING VOICE ACTOR TOO that just cracks me up 4) I love the one vampire side character who keeps trying to befriend Mika, and Mika just keeps stonewalling him 5) honestly the queen is really badass, and as much as I hated her at first, I actually enjoy every second she’s on screen 6) There’s a vampire called Crowley and idk what it is with him but he just gives me “Big Fun” vibes even though he’s one of the most ruthless characters in the show

plot and arcs: it doesn’t drag itself on and on and on, it actually completes goals and important benchmarks fairly quickly so we don’t need to keep waiting on things to happen. But at the same time, is so drawn out that you still can’t help but feel like it’s taking forever to get to where you want it to go and it’s great because it means you get so much story to enjoy. Also, the fact that the protagonists always have one clear goal at a time, but us as the viewers see other things happening behind the scenes, without always understanding what they are, and we’re stuck seeing this collision path where everything is gonna intersect and you know it’s going to be terrible and there characters are going to suffer but you love that.

anyways, Seraph of the end is super good, I loved it, the anime isn’t enough so I’m actually chasing after the Manga for once. Mika is officially one of my all-time favorite characters and he deserves to be happy. If you know what I’m talking about cheer with me, if you haven’t seen it yet, omgggggggggggggggggggg GO CHECK IT OUT IF ANY OF THE THINGS I SAID APPEAL TO YOU

…hi.Lol. 🤗 But seriously, how is everyone? Well…I’ve been gone for quite some time, huh? I literally have had so much irl stuff going on these past years (especially the recent years- 2020, anyone?) that I just didn’t have time or efforts to post anything. That and I forgot about this tumblr at times, oops 🤭I’m currently doing well and yes, I still have these weird kinks (I’ve accepted the fact that I will always have a fart/poop/burp fetish and even though I haven’t been writing, I always find myself reading some good stuff every once in a while). I recently remembered this tumblr and I slowly started wanting to write something again. Don’t get your hopes up- I’ve always been a sporadic writer who only writes when I want to. Phichit lifted his hand in greeting as he made his way towards the skating idol.The Thai skater was currently in Russia for a skating competition. So of course, he made sure to pay a short visit (okay, so maybe he more like clung on and never let go) to his best friend, Katsuki Yuuri (who was now being coached in Russia by said skating idol/best friend stealer).In all seriousness though, Phichit had no problems at all with Victor Nikiforov. Even though he barely knew the guy (other than what was based on the idol's social media, his best friend Yuuri's obsession with skating coach/competitor/fiance and his own few handfuls of personal interactions) he could pretty much say that the silver-haired Russian was perfect.A little TOO perfect.Perfect enough that it made Phichit want to know if there were other sides to The Perfect Victor Nikiforov.So while Phichit was on break, (Yakov generously gave Celestino permission to share the rink- although it could have definitely have been because of Yuuri and that his smol son was 110% the Russian coach's favorite student) and said traitor of a best friend had abandoned him to go hang it with Russian Yuri (Phichit's not hurt by this at all, nope) the Thai skater decide that this was the best time to get to know Victor better.You know, for friendly purposes. Not to reveal any dirty, dark secrets of the older skater that he could possibly use against him as blackmail if the idol ever chose to break Yuuri's heart or anything.Of course not.So when he called for the other's attention, Victor put down his the water bottle he had been drinking and looked towards the approaching Thai. "Ah, yes-up!" The silver-haired man smiled, letting out a tiny hiccup at the end of his sentence.Phichit grinned as he skidded to a stop in front of the other skater. Even hiccuping, the other was cute."Ah, it's nothing..." Phichit started, stretching out his arms behind his back. "It's just that I realized that even though you're engaged to my best friend and all, I never really had the chance to get to speak to you one on one. You know like fiance to best friend/mama bear." Phichit told him with a smile that silently spoke a thousand years.Victor froze and looked at Phichit with cautious new eyes.The Thai skater continued to smile as he spoke. "So just to be sure that we're on the same page...I just wanted to know- how do you really feel about MY Yuuri?" Phichit's normally bright voice took on a serious tone after that as he narrowed his eyes at the other, "Because if you're just playing around with him than I swear I'll-"With no hesituation, Victor blurted out, "I l-urrrp! love him!" Phichit blinked as the 'love confession' was interrupted by an unexpected short but loud burp by the other.But instead of excusing himself like Phichit expected the idol to do, Victor pushed on."Yuu-urrrp! is an ange-ullp! beyond any comparrrrp!ison on this world! Beforrrpp! him, I-ulllp! ullp! was lost and was won-ullp! UrrRRPP! wondering if I should-ullp! continue skat-urrrp!ing or-ullp! not!"Phichit just watched the other in gross astonishment as the older skater sang Yuuri's praises to him with pauses of weird hiccuppy-burps along the way. The Thai could barely understand the words coming out of the other's mouth by the way.Phichit had to bite his tongue at one point to keep himself from laughing when Victor injected his love a little TOO hard and ended up forcing out a huge belch in the process.He wondered if the skating idol knew how...well, disgusting he was being- if Phichit were being completely honest.He thought that maybe the idol was unaware of the bouts of gas or if he just didn't care.Phichit decided to go with the latter when everyone in the rink just ignored the other's obvious hiccup-burps (and they were way too loud to not be noticed by everyone around).Actually, Phichit did notice Yuuri sending his fiancé a fond exasperated look as he shook his head while Russian Yuri at his side just swore loudly at Victor before rolling his eyes and continuing his chat with Phichit's best friend (really, Phichit decided right then and there that he was gonna have a chat with the blonde next- just to make sure that they were all on the same page on who Katsuki Yuuri's BFF truly was.)"Victor." Phichit finally cut into the other's tirade."Yes-ullp?" Victor had been hiccuping more in the last few minutes.Making sure to keep a straight face, Phichit held out his hand."Okay." He said finally."Okay...?" Victor repeated unsurely, for once no hiccups or burps coming out."I give you my blessing to marry my...our Yuuri." Phichit told him solemnly. The Thai then couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when the other whooped in happiness and furiously pulled him into a huge hug."Oh thank you-uuurrRRRRPPPPPP!" Victor yelled, with a particularly wet belch following at the end.That was it.Phichit burst out laughing at the GINORMOUS burp that came out of the other's mouth. It was really the loudest and wettest one yet.Clueless as to what set the Thai skater off, Victor asked him what was so funny. But Phichit just grinned, waving him off as Yakov yelled at Victor to stop slacking off, finally made aware that the silver-haired skater hadn't been doing his practice laps like he was supposed to.Phichit watched as Victor skated away and shook his head.Well. He felt like he truly got to know a whole different side to Victor Nikiforov all right. But, oh well- he'll just keep the other's cute and kinda gross side to himself and not make a post about it on his social media accounts.For now anyway.With a light feeling in his skates, Phichit whistled as he made his way towards the two Yuri's for yet another 'friendly' confrontation.

Tokyo Alien Bros: Manga Spoilers

Starting July 22nd 25:00 (i.e. July 23rd 1am), NTV will broadcast the live action adaption of Tokyo Alien Brothers, starring Inoo Kei (Hey!Say!JUMP) and Totsuka Shota (ABC-Z). Link

There are 10 chapters translated to English online and you should be able to find them on google. I was able to read the other 8 chapters on weibo, so if you are curious about how the story ends, I am going to post some spoilers after the cut.

The weibo account forbids sharing of the contents outside Weibo. Also the scans are in Chinese. If you really want to know, send me a message and I can send you the person’s account. Sorry, it’s a bit long and I didn’t have a chance to edit before posting.

I am going to use the names on the NTV website instead of the manga for a couple of characters. Also, there will probably be adaptational differences in the TV drama.

Fuyunosuke (Inoo Kei) - The little brother who was first sent to Earth to investigate if the environment is suitable for their species. His cover is an ikemen college student who is super popular (especially among the ladies) and has a very active social life. He is methodical and intelligent. He has been described by various characters as very handsome like a model, to the point when he was went shopping wearing a coat over pajamas, the Harajuku sales thought it was the latest fashion trend because there is no way such an ikemen will dress like a slob!

Natsutaro (Totsuka Shota) - The older brother who appeared out of nowhere while Fuyunosuke was having some racy sex with a random person. Since he showed up in his true form (a blob-like alien), they had to erase the girl’s memory. He is dumb and useless but kindhearted. He was supposedly sent to check on his brother since Fuyunosuke missed a few calls.

The first few chapters simply goes through how Fuyunosuke helped Natsutaro get familiar with earth: (I’ll just call them Fuyu and Natsu from now on)

- The alien bros cannot touch salt or else they will melt. Natsu found out when they went to eat shio ramen and he started melting.

- Natsu was walking around wearing a bathrobe until some old lady gave him some old clothes. Then he walked around wearing a tiger print shirt.

- Fuyu had been hiding his spaceship in a park. He took Natsu around the world to show him how interesting it is. Both brothers seem to be fond of Earth etc.

- Fuyu had many jobs: working at Lawsons, handing out tissue paper, etc. He took Natsutaro with him when he was handing out tissue paper. Fuyu ditched Natsu on the pretense of a date, but really, he wanted to call HQ. Natsu ate some gum (?) and went berserk. He ended up crashing into a truck and part of his face got torn off. He escaped...

Meanwhile, Fuyu was suspicious of HQ’s motive of sending Natsu to monitor him. During a call back to HQ, he laid out his suspicion. He said that Natsu was dumb, but if someone as dumb as Natsu can immerse into the environment, then it is proof that the aliens can migrate without any issues. HQ confirmed and said there are 2 milestones for Natsu: a) find a job, and b) find a girlfriend, then it is proof that Earth is suitable for their species. HQ told Fuyu not to tell Natsu anything. Just as he was pondering how to help Natsu, Natsu walked in and said he found a job!

Natsu was hiding from the mob who seen his partially destroyed face. He went into this candy store and asked the elderly lady if she would hire him and she said yes! So he started working there. A bunch of kids thought he was weird, since he wore that tiger shirt every day. One day, Natsu accidentally drank something salty and his face started to melt, and one little girl saw it. She got her friends to go unmask him. Somehow, one kid fell into the river and was about to drown. Natsu dived in to save the boy and emerged in his true form. However, since the kids were grateful to him, they decided to keep the brothers’ secret.

So now, girlfriend. Fuyu held a takoyaki party at his place. His friends, including Chinami* (Tsunematsu Yuri) and Okabe (Owada Kensuke). Okabe had a crush on Chinami and she (like every single girl) was interested in Fuyu. Anyway, Okabe was trying to get with Chinami and absolutely struck out. While Okabe was feeling low, Natsu empathized with him since they were both losers. Chinami suddenly found herself attracted to Natsu after that outburst of emotion.

* I think Chinami is called Ritsuko in the manga. Not sure why they changed it.

Fuyu decided to take Natsu shopping, since he had been wearing the same tiger shirt and obviously no ladies want to get with that! Fuyu walked out in PJ’s and a trench coat, but because he is as good looking as a model, the sales people thought wearing PJs and a trench coat is the trendy thing to do. No ikemen would be caught in something like that! Natsu didn’t have money, so Fuyu took him to the store Chinami worked in. Chinami was helping Natsu with clothes and suddenly Fuyu remembered how she helped him pick out proper clothes. He felt angry and ran off. Natsu chased after Fuyu and left his tiger shirt behind. He asked Fuyu why he needed to buy clothes, and Fuyu told him about the mission.

Fuyu woke up with Haruru (Ohgo Suzuka). He was wondering why he felt so weird. Haruru suggested he might be jealous of his brother. Fuyu dismissed the idea. In the meantime, Chinami went to Natsu’s workplace to return the shirt and to ask him out. Fuyu, who was absolutely not jealous, kept trying to disrupt their date by transforming himself into a smarmy guy, a smarmy middle-aged guy, and even a giant cat to try and steal Chinami away. He finally admitted to himself that he was jealous. While Natsu and Chinami was at a love hotel, Natsu’s face started melting when Chinami kissed him. He had to wipe her memory and ran home. Fuyu decided that in order to understand women, they needed to become women.

Fuyuko and Natsuko went out and explore as women. Naturally, Fuyuko was super cute while Natsuko looked like a character from the 80′s wearing a power suit. While they out, a scout told Fuyuko that he could make *her* a star and took *her* for a ride in his fancy car. Natsu had been trying to contact HQ with no avail, so he went home to call HQ again. HQ told him that the Earth migration plan was cancelled because another investigation team found an even better planet for them. Fuyu, one of his hands transformed into a blade, his face covered with blood, was staring down at the scout’s body, whose decapitated head laid beside him! “You should not have tried to rape me. Men are disgusting creatures.”

Fuyu took the dead scout’s car keys and took Natsu for a ride. He was also starting to lose it. He ended up crashing the car. He told Natsu what happened and that he was completely disgusted. They ended up in a park and Natsu told Fuyu about the end of the Earth Migration plan. Suddenly, the cops showed up to arrest Natsu for the truck incident earlier in the story.

As the cops put the handcuffs on Natsu, Natsu’s hand melted (or snapped off) and he started running away. Fuyu, forever cleaning up his older brother’s mess, erased the memory of the cops, but an old guy saw them. Fuyu was about to kill the old guy because he was of no consequence, but Natsu stopped him. A crowd gathered while they were in half alien form so they had to make a run for the subway.

While riding the train, Fuyu was clearly losing it because he had to leave Earth (even though he won’t admit to it). Suddenly, a swarm of people got onto the train as it was rush hour. Fuyu got pissed with all the people and was going to kill everyone in the packed train because they are moving to the new place and it no longer mattered. Natsu ate some of the gum from earlier, grabbed Fuyu and literally flew out of the train. Unfortunately, they were going to fall into the sea. In order to save his brother, Fuyu threw Natsu onto the sidewalk while he fell into the sea. When Fuyu made it back to the shore, he was melted down to a kid-sized blob. As he needed to transform into something of the same mass, he could no longer become an ikemen, a cute girl, or even an old guy. He transformed into a white cat. Natsu took him home.

Cat-Fuyu was not accustomed to his new cat body. He also sensed that Natsu kinda fell in love with Earth, so he decided to go back home on his own. But since he was a cat, it took him forever to get back to his space ship and when he was about to pass out, he remembered how he was when he first showed up on Earth. Haruru picked up Cat-Fuyu and told him she would help him and that she knew he was an alien.

In the meantime, Natsu was going crazy looking for Cat-Fuyu and asked Fuyu’s friends to help him hand out flyers to look for his lost cat, Fuyunosuke. He said he named the cat after his brother (who was “travelling”) because it looked like his brother. Anyway, Haruru took Cat-Fuyu home to Natsu.

Cat-Fuyu told Natsu that he only wanted to leave since Natsu really liked his life on Earth. The brothers shared a last conversation together and Natsu took Cat-Fuyu back to his space ship. Natsu and Fuyu hugged before Fuyu left to the new place. Natsu went home and found a box Fuyu left him. It was his Earthly research with a note “Even though I don’t know if it will be of use to you. - Fuyunosuke” Natsu flipped through the pictures of the brothers and had a silent drink on the balcony alone.

A number of months later, Natsu was integrated into his Earthly life. He was hanging out with Chinami, Okabe, and other friends of Fuyu. He missed his brother. He was walking his dog and saw a white cat that looked like Cat-Fuyu. Nope. He Suddenly his dog barked at a middle-aged guy, who turned away. “Fuyunosuke? What are you doing here?” Middle-aged guy turned back into Fuyunosuke.

Fuyu: Looks like I am discovered.

Natsu: Well, there were so many flaws in your disguise.

Fuyu: Oops. Well, the new place is too boring, so I came back.

Natsu: Your body?

Fuyu: Yeah, HQ has the best technology, so they were able to fix my body.

Natsu: Welcome back, Fuyunosuke.

Fuyu: I am home, big brother.

The brothers went back home and shared a drink on the balcony like they always did. They looked at each other and laughed.

I sort of kind of forgot to put this up last week, which is a shame, because I’ve been reading a lot (working through my “tabs of shame”), so this is this week and last week’s list. I want everyone to have lots of good fics to read, so I figured a few weeks ago I’d make a list to suggest the ones I liked. Have any suggestions for me or want to talk to me about them? Pls pls hit me up, I’m very friendly.

What I Read This Week (~6/3-6/17)

faking in secret (Ch. 1) - DefiantDreams - It gets kind of difficult when you’re simultaneously fake dating and dating in secret at the same time. Yuuri and Viktor make it work—until they don’t. (My review: Fake/secret dating au in which essa slays me again. love this!! can’t wait for more)

It’s a Sign - LittleLostStar - Five times Victor and Yuuri escalate the Silly Signs Held Up At Airport Arrival Terminals War, and one time Victor wins without using a sign at all. (My review: This is such a precious fic. Star always does the characters so well and they’re just... so cute. <3)

we’ll always have paris (Ch. 1-2) - spookyfoot - Or: the canon divergent au where Yuuri doesn't screw up Japanese Nationals, runs into Victor in the Paris airport on the way to Worlds in Sweden, and somehow embarasses himself into a relationship on the 18 hour train ride between Paris and Malmö. (My review: Wow, spooky, can you believe I finally read this? No, but, jokes aside, Paris is hilarious, and I’m so glad I’ve finally started it!!)

feel like a quote out of context (Ch. 1-3) - seventhstar - In which Yuuri accidentally insults Viktor Nikiforov in front of a crowd of reporters, only to discover that apparently being called a 'talentless hack' is what turns Viktor on. This is not how Yuuri envisioned meeting Viktor going, but hey. He'll take it. (My review: another tab of shame fic oops. Nuriiiiiii, I am so glad that I’m finally reading soft rivals, i totally understand why you love it)

Night is Young and the Music’s High - opalish - "Best press conference ever," the Japanese Nationals silver medalist says when asked. “Ten out of ten, would medal again.” "I would die for Katsuki-kun," Minami declares, with terrifying sincerity. (My review: Someone recced me this fic and I laughed the whole time I was reading it. It’s great)

God Save Yuuri Katsuki (Ch. 1-2) - belovedyuuri (casinthongs) - Let it be known that accepting the babysitting gig is definitely not the best decision in Yuuri's life. At first, at least. (My review: Ahhh, basia, i don’t know if i’ve read anything by you before, but this is great. i love yuri as a child, he’s going to kill those poor adults. i love them)

Double Vicked - Phayte - The new Fan Art came out --- Two Victor's in it! Well... Here is Yuuri being Double Dicked (Vicked) - Victor has a younger brother that looks identical to him, when he was younger --- Yuuri cannot stop lusting after him. (I put incest warning on this, but they Nikiforov brother's DON'T TOUCH each other) (My review: so, i was looking for viktor/yuuri/viktor, but i got this. it’s very well written, and close enough to that trope that i loved it.)

Midnight Salchow - Mhalachai - Yuuri is convinced he has hidden his shameful past as a writer of Viktor Nikiforov RPF. Yuuri is mistaken. (My review: i love social media fics and mistaken identities, so this thing was right up my alley, i cried laughing.)

Green - MemeKonYOI (MemeKonYA) - Yuuri has no ex partners, but he has Yuuko and Phichit, and people he describes to him as ‘lovers, I guess?’ with a sheepish expression over dinners and drinks and in hotel rooms where they’re staying together. He has kids like Minami and Yurio, with huge crushes, wanting to skate on the same ice as him, to be his equals. (My review: ahhh, another fic someone recced to me, and I adored it. It was precious, and I love oblivious heartbreaker Yuuri. Love him)

Talk To Me - Wivania - “So… You didn’t buy the Yurio needs a new phone excuse and I shouldn’t consider a career in acting after all?” or Yuuri speaks more Russian than Viktor expected. (My review: ahh, i’ve had this in my marked for later for a while now, and i loved it!!! such a cute fic of misunderstanding)

get me through the night - FullmetalChords - Victor has learned to sleep in strange places, on benches at Yubileyny, on sticky floors at the Olympic Village. He cannot, however, sleep through an endless swarm of angry hornets, not when he is sharing a bed with it. Five annoying sleep habits Yuuri and Victor have, and one time they couldn't get to sleep without it. (My review: Meggggg, this fic is also super precious oh my god I died laughing Viktor and Yuuri are so extra and they’re 100% like this thank you)

The great debate ends.. - aim7art - Viktor launches the pineapple pizza fiasco, & Yuuri's finally had enough of it~ (My review: Man, the one time i’m not on Viktor’s side for something - I love pineapple on pizza. But this was hilarious - I loved the taps to social media in it, too)

(Don’t) Ring the Wedding Bells (Ch. 1) - cuttlemefish - As (loosely) inspired by real life, this is the wedding reception AU (you didn’t ask for, but will get) in which Yuuri Katsuki catches the bride’s bouquet and (shortly after) gets smashed at a wedding reception, then dirty dances with his best friend, (sort of) seduces a (hot) platinum-haired trust-fund baby named Viktor, and ends up being hounded for his identity (by said trust-fund baby and his friends and family) on social media. (My review: tabs of shame! tabs of shame! Z, this is super cute, and I can’t wait to continue. I hear there’s a moose in store? ;))

drunk in love - spookyfoot - Victor runs a bar, Yuuri is his favorite customer. (My review: spooky, back at it again with these super cute hilarious aus. a+ spooky, a+)

What I Wrote This Week (~6/3-6/17)

off the cliff - Right before Finals, Yuuri Katsuki breaks up with Viktor, because he needs to "go home". But then Viktor catches Yuuri riding toward a dangerous cliff, where no one would dare go for recreational purposes. But Yuuri wasn't lying, he was going home. (Or: Crack was requested and I gave an angsty mermaid au)

i will go down with this ship! (Ch. 2) - Yuuri and Viktor co-star in the fantasy drama History Makers, a show where their characters Mamoru and Dimitry are shipped by all the fans, which of course leads to the fact that fans also ship Yuuri and Viktor. And write fic about it. Yuuri reads RPF by only one author, therealviknik, and leaves a comment on every single one with his account, katsukiforov. Some fans pick up on the conversations and begin to ship therealviknik with katsukiforov as well. Phichit ships it all. (Or: Fandom fic where Yuuri reads fanfiction about him and Viktor that Viktor writes but neither of them know and I’m really invested in like 3 ships and they’re all the same people)

the one i'll slay; the other slayeth me - When he moves to America, Yuuri auditions to be part of an on-ice production of Midsummer Night's Dream. He finds out that the show stars Viktor Nikiforov, and is shocked, excited and scared by that, because Viktor is his long time crush and idol. It doesn't just end there, though, because it seems the magic isn't just within the show, and there isn't just one Viktor. (Or: D O U B L E VI K TO R VYV do i need to say more?)

“We’re afraid he isn’t going to make it”

Oh boy, Here we go~ You asked for this one. Writing Prompt that was supposed to be published yesterday for Writing Promt Wednesday but WTTM happened and i’m still deceased but WHATEVER ALSO AUTHORS NOTE: Sorry to the anon who sent this that it took me so long to reply! I wanted to write you a good fic because this is a killer of a prompt. (I didn’t mean that as a pun but oops?)

Potential angst under the cut -

“YUURI!!!” The name fell off of Viktor’s tongue, broken and screamed out through a gutteral cry so sharp that it pierced right through the ears of everyone around him. “YUURI! YUURI! FUCK- Someone, anyone, help him!” It was like a bad dream. No - a nightmare. He didn’t know how or when it happened. All he did know was at this moment, his vision was blurred, a mixture of white and red. His eyes burned from the tears that threatened to never cease falling down his face, and in his arms was the limp, unconscious body of his fiancé, Yuuri Katsuki. The love of his life was currently out cold, and bleeding from his skull. “Viktor, the ambulance is here for him. You have to let him go. The paramedics need to take him to the hospital.” The voice sounded far away, but Viktor recognized it as coming from Yuri Plisetsky. The tone was unusually soft for the normally aggressive young man, but VIktor didn’t have time to think about anything at the moment other than the fact that his last words to Yuuri were, “You’re not trying hard enough!” How could he have been so heartless? To scold Yuuri like that, leading to them arguing about the minor, insignificant details of Yuuri’s program. Of all the things that he could have said, of all the things he could have done... This was all his fault... ‘This is all my fault... If I hadn’t pushed him so hard, If i’d have listened more... maybe... maybe then he would have, he would have never-’ “VIKTOR!” The familiar voice interrupted his thoughts again. And at hearing it, Viktor snapped back from his regret to his nightmarish reality. A stunned, doe like gaze staring out at the blonde who was currently trying to walk Viktor to the side of the rink, and off of the ice. And Viktor complied, following behind him in an almost trance-like state. But, wait... “Wh- When did they take Yuuri?” Viktor managed to ask. He didn’t dare say anything else, since he didn’t trust his own voice at the moment. “About twenty minutes ago.” Yuri sighed, crossing his arms in front of him as he stood close beside where Viktor sat. “They took him to Leningrad*. He’s in good hands, Viktor. We just have to wait-” “I WANT TO SEE HIM NOW!” Viktor choked out loudly through a sob, his face falling into his hands as he curled in on himself where he sat on the bench. “I- I need to see him. Yuri... Please... I’ll never forgive myself if, if anything happens to him.. I mean, shit, something already happened to him... Just, please...” Yuri had never seen Viktor like this before. The normally confident and prideful man was completely broken. So, he didn’t even speak. Instead, he just grabbed Viktor’s hand, tugging him to stand up. “Come on. Get out of your skates and I’ll take you. And go wash your face... I know you’re upset, Viktor, but you need to get a hold of yourself if we’re going to go see him. Okay?” At hearing that, Viktor nodded, and the moment they were ready, Yuri led Viktor into a cab and out towards the hospital.

“We’re sorry, Viktor... We don’t think he’s going to make it...” The words replayed in his head so many times since he’d left the conversation earlier that evening with Yuuri’s doctor. It had been two days since Yuuri had been admitted into the ICU. Almost three, now. Viktor was practically living in Leningrad hospital at this point. He stayed by Yuuri’s side from the exact minute visiting hours opened to the very last moment before he had to be forcefully removed by security after closing time. Yuuri had, for the most part, stabilized. The bleeding had stopped, and any major swelling had managed to be controlled. There was no visible brain damage, and although his vitals were a bit worrying, they were, for the most part, steady. However, for whatever reason, Yuuri just wouldn’t wake up. And the thought that Yuuri might never wake up, scared Viktor out of his mind. “Don’t worry, lyubov moye. I’m not going anywhere...” He whispered the words with a hope that they would reach Yuuri, even though he wasn’t awake to acknowledge them. He had been sitting at his love’s bedside for what felt like hours, and probably had been, given by the fact that there was no longer visible sunlight outside the hospital room window. Viktor had to admit, though. He was grateful. The room was surrounded in bright bouquets of flowers. Cards and well wishes from family and friends and even complete strangers who had heard of Yuuri’s accident out on the ice days before filled the entire room. Yuuri was surrounded in a sea of love and support, even if he wasn’t aware of it. Yuuri’s family had even flown out to remain at his bedside as well, with Mari hanging around the longest, and helping Viktor with whatever he needed. And it helped - it truly did - having the support of others around. But right now, Viktor was alone. Alone with the one thing in his life he couldn’t afford to lose... “Yuuri...” He whispered, resting his head on the pillow, close to his fiancé’s face. “I’m sorry, Yuuri. I’m never going to push you like this again. I promise, okay? Just.. please... I know this is so selfish to ask but- please, don’t leave me. Please, please... wake up...” In the silence of the room, Viktor wept. He wept as he held Yuuri close, with the only other sounds coming from the idle beep of the heart monitor, his only indication that Yuuri was still alive, and the slow, humming churn of the IV drip. Yuuri didn’t wake up that night.

Almost two full weeks had gone by. And Viktor was adamant. The doctor’s told him, repeatedly, “If he hasn’t woken up yet, we don’t know if he ever will.” They asked him, tried their best to force him to consider alternatives. To think of his own future as well as the future of those involved in his life... But Viktor didn’t care. Not about anyone, or anything. No one. Right now, only Yuuri mattered. His fiancé was stable. His heart rate had normalized. His blood pressure had come back to a decent range. His cheeks had color. The swelling was practically down to a small bump, now. Viktor knew better than to give up. Yuuri wouldn’t have given up on him, and he owed his love that same respect. So he pressed on. He continued to stay with Yuuri day in and day out. The occasional company of Yuri, or Mari, or Hiroko and Toshiya joining him. Of course, it was always spent in silence. With the only words being the ones that Viktor spoke to Yuuri. He talked to him a lot. Made sure to keep Yuuri updated on everything going on in the world and with their friends and family. Trying his best to maintain some normalcy and knowing that somehow, Yuuri could hear him. “... and Yurio almost managed land a quad flip in practice yesterday! You would have been so proud if you’d seen him, Yuuri. I have video to show you, once you wake up. His landing was a bit unsteady, but he’s improving in ways you wouldn’t believe!” Viktor sighed, glancing up at the clock on the wall. The time was a bit after 1pm. It was just him, now. Mari had gone to get lunch for herself and her parents, and even though she’d tried her best to, Viktor wouldn’t budge to join them. He’d eat later. His hunger was the least important thing on his mind, right now. He would stay with Yuuri until the end of time, if he had to. Or, at least until the end of tonight. But even then, Yuuri still didn’t wake up.

“I brought Makkachin to see you today.” Viktor spoke softly, with said poodle currently napping on an unclaimed part of Yuuri’s cot, laid out at his feet. “It took a lot of begging, and a bit of bribery, but he’s here. He’s missed you. A full month without you at home has been stressful to the poor baby...” He laughed weakly, almost forced. There was something different in the way Yuuri looked today. Aside from the fact that he no longer had the contusion on his head, but only a small scar under a bandage. All the bruising had faded. His breathing was light and even, and there was a steady rise and fall to his chest. Viktor also noticed that his heart rate picked up, albeit slightly, every time he spoke. And he thought it was his imagination at first... until he spoke again, and Yuuri’s heart rate picked up the rhythm in his words. “Can... you hear me?” He mused, almost in disbelief. That is, until a small flicker, a twitch, happened itself from Yuuri’s eyelids. “..Y- Yuuri?” BEEP... BEEP... BEEP... Again, the heart monitor indicated a rise in Yuuri’s heart rate. Viktor swallowed thickly, his nerves suddenly feeling on edge. Was he about to- “... Vi...” The voice came so faintly, Viktor almost didn’t catch it. But the moment the sound fell on his ears, his attention was fully on Yuuri. “... Vi... k... Vik...tor?” Weak, breathy, but real. That was Yuuri’s voice. Yuuri was awake. Or... waking up. Viktor didn’t care. This was the first time he was hearing his beloved’s voice in almost a full month. “Yuuri!” He let out through a choked gasp, tears threatening to fall down his face. But he tried his best to keep it together, for Yuuri’s sake. “Yuuri... I’m here. Shh... I’m here, my love. Don’t worry, I’m here.” He considered, for a moment, running to get the doctor. But he couldn’t bring it in him to leave Yuuri’s side. Not right now. Not when his fears were finally being put to rest. “...Vik...tor...” Yuuri repeated, his eyes fluttering slowly, slightly, opening up to stare at the man sitting beside him. “... Viktor... where... is this... am I.. hospital?” His voice lilted as if to ask it as a question. Clearly not remembering anything after his accident. Viktor reached forward to take Yuuri’s hand, squeezing it gently. “Yes, my love. You had an accident. We’re in the hospital. But you’re fine, I promise. Please, rest, alright? Don’t push yourself. I’m here with you, and nothing bad is going to happen to you. Never again...” Viktor’s breath caught on those last words, still blaming himself for Yuuri even being in this mess to begin with.

If he hadn’t pushed... If he hadn’t yelled... if he’d just, stopped and thought for once instead of simply speaking... then maybe... maybe none of this would have- “... Vitya... You’re thinking too much...” Yuuri’s voice sounded clearer, although still very soft, and dry. But his eyes were open, and they were staring up at Viktor with... was that, a smile? And Viktor felt a hand, light and unsteady, caressing his face. Wiping away tears he hadn’t realized he’d been crying. And they only fell harder as he turned, pressing his lips to the inside of Yuuri’s palm. Holding his hand to his mouth and kissing Yuuri’s skin over and over again. “I know...” Viktor let out through a sob. “I know... I just... if I hadn’t... then you wouldn’t... God, Yuuri... I’m so sorry...”

“Don’t...” Yuuri spoke, that same angelic smile on his face. “...Please, Vitya... just... stay here, with me?” Viktor took a deep, slow breath, calming himself and nodding in response. Yuuri was right. There was no use dwelling on the ‘could ofs’ and ‘should ofs’, when they were here. Now. Together. And Yuuri was awake, and healthy. “Always, my love. And I’ll never, ever leave...” At hearing Yuuri’s voice, Makkachin woke up. And he, in too much excitement for a dog his age, bounded atop the still half dazed Yuuri, who could only weakly laugh as the poodle licked his face. “Makkachin? Viktor... Do I want to know how you managed to smuggle our dog into the hospital?” Viktor just laughed, shrugging his shoulders with a sheepish expression on his face. He’d never tell Yuuri how he traded every gold medal he owned just to bribe the doctors to let him stay in the room with Yuuri, and bring the poodle in. But, gold medals didn’t matter anymore. What mattered now, was that life could finally return to how things were meant to be. Yuuri made it after all.

That thing that your mind does after 1 or 2am when it becomes more loose without needing drugs but it just gets high on lack of sleep and you’re suddenly really talkative and funny and you can have really deep conversations with people and your jokes are honestly on fucking point and you wish you were like that during the day

What is the most expensive item of clothing you have ever bought and was it worth it? I honestly don’t know oh my god. Probably the suit (pants + blazer) I bought a few years ago and that’s still good and whenever I have to be dressed in a “serious and elegant” way that’s what I go for. So yeah it was worth it.

The piece of makeup that you always wear. i don’t always wear it but if i wanna put on a bit of something then it’s definitely gonna be mascara + lipstick (or colored lip balm) because I think they both make a ton of difference. The first character you loved:

YURI PLISETSKY wins. Idk I seem to like angsty blonde fashionable russian teenage anime boys *cough*mihael keehl*cough*

ARMAND. I think “he can be yuor angle or yuor devil” describes him perfectly. Also if they don’t get him his own blender scene in the show I’ll start a protest

HANNIBAL. I’ve even asking myself for a really really reaaallllly long time: Hannibal Lecter or Will Graham? And I swear I cannot fucking choose. But in the end I think I got to go with Hannibal.

The character you relate to the most:

YURI PLISETSKY. I’m not just saying this because I love him but he is pretty introverted and struggles with expressing his feelings to others and opening up (except for a special few). I’m also a huge cat person, makes weird curse combinations, love his edgy fashion, work really hard, am a perfectionist, and am very competitive.

LOUIS DE POINTE DU LAC. I told myself I wouldn’t say Armand again lol. Louis may not be my favorite but I will admit (wow this is gonna get deep) that I’m also introverted, have problems when it comes to depression, anixety, and that kind of thing, sometimes allow people to walk over me (sorry Louis but lbr here). While I may not be religious, I appreciate beauty, nature, am a huge book lover!! And lastly I care about the people closest to me very deeply and if you hurt them I’ll murder you (FIRE ahahah). Also when I think about it I’m a bit like Daniel Molloy in that I’m such a pop culture obsessed nerd and love the 80s/90s (I think Daniel is the lens in which Armand is able to view and explore these decades), am really interested in journalism, and am kinda self-destructive sometimes lol oops. I also forgot about Nicholas this is getting long but him too!

WILL GRAHAM. My child. I love him so much and just want to protect him from all evil lol. Will is pretty fucked up in that he has problems... I swear to god I don’t kill people or think about killing people jesus help me but he has a very tortured mind (which I think was always present just made even worse because of Hannibal/the encephalitis), though I’m definitely not as nearly as bad as him so that’s good. He doesn’t open up to people either but I think when he does he forms really strong relationships with them. And he loves his family. AND HIS DOGS!!! I also end up doing things I know I shouldn’t be doing but I can’t help it lol. Also I’m super interested in forensic science as well as criminal psychology or a mix of any of those... I think it would be cool to pursue and that’s something I have the skills for.

The character you’d slap:

I’d slap JJ cause it would be really satisfying and I’m so conflicted over the canon version of him.

Wow.... one thing about Anne Rice’s characters is literally every single one of them is flawed. I’d have to slap Lestat to give him a wake up call because sometime he really needs it. I’d bitch slap Claudia too I’m sorry. Honorable mentions: Marius, the Marquis, Akasha

I hated Armand with a passion for being such a bitch in TVL! Hah! I think I was really on the fence on whether I loved him or hated him. And I love him now.

Alana. God she annoyed me so much but when she finally left Hannibal and got with Margot I was like YES, KILL THEM ALL, HAVE A SON, BE HAPPY, FEED HIM TO THE EELS (that scene was great omg) Also I hated Hannibal with a PASSION for getting away with all of his shit and hurting Will but I think I just eventually said “fuck it” and caved in.

Just this whole Yuri, Otabek, JJ triangle on tumblr that I have no life anymore because of omg. But Otayuri, Pliroy, and Otapliroy. Also don’t totally ship JJbek 100% right now but I’ll probably get there eventually.

Jean Jacques Leroy-Character Analysis {Spoilers??}

So, my favorite thing to do is over analyze. I do it all of the time. Oops. And I usually do it for the characters who are frowned upon by the fandom and the entertainment form in general. I found myself one day watching episode eight over and over. It was hilarious but also very interesting how we're introduced to JJ. I mean. I've read other character analysis on him and they have him wrong. He has layers. Like a cake. But each are different but similar. We first meet JJ while watching Emil skate. We know Yuri Katsuki gets very psyched before and during competitions. He also is affected by what his opponents accomplish. Such as jumps. Emil did a quadruple toe loop. Landed it amazingly. JJ over heard and decided to pick at the other by stating that he landed it and that they should clap for Emil. But Yuri didn't hear because he had his ear buds in only to have JJ ignore him and walk to Victor and poke fun at the Russian. He states that Victor did the same jump at the previous years exhibition skate saying he'd want to see it again. Victor simply decides not to argue nor respond with any form of back lash, simply saying he doesn't recall. Myself and many other fans can understand where people come with the idea that he's obnoxious. Which his behavior stated before was obnoxious and unnecessary. He possesses other traits as well. He honestly seems like a caring guy. One of my friends and I were talking about him in fact. She said she didn't like him because he was arrogant. I don't understand this logic Jean Jacques is not arrogant. King JJ is a persona that he made for himself, sure he has a ton of self confidence and self love. But that's perfect and amazing, not all characters are going to struggle with self confidence issues because then not everyone would learn how to deal with issues or relate to characters. I think JJ shows us that loving yourself is perfectly fine. I mean he has a strong strong base of love. Almost all of these characters did. But they all had their own struggles. JJ cracked under pressure. We all do at times, he shown us that even though you're the most confident person it doesn't mean you won't get scared or crack under pressure or get nervous. JJ had many forms of love. Love was stated so many times in Yuri!!! On ice. It was a main base. JJ has Isabella, his fiancé. Can we talk about her for a second? I love her so so much, she is such an amazing lover. When JJ seen his score he felt so down and out. And his fans sat quietly and his parents did the same. Everyone was just watching hoping for a change of the score or something to happen. But she started cheering for him instead of making him feel like he was alone. JJ also had his parents..they were also his coach. What few don't know is that they competed in the Olympics so, naturally they would have higher expectations for their child to excel at skating. This may have contributed to him cracking under pressure in the Grand Prix Finals. But, most of all he has the support of his fans, they stood up for him against the Yuri angels. Literally trying to ward them off though of course the Yuri angels stood up for Yurio right back. Now, I know this post is long and if I lost you somewhere I'm sorry. But, this has to be said. Cause I've been aggravated for over a month and it was driving me crazy. So, we see in episode ten Yurio becomes hostile to JJ and Isabella. Rightfully so after Isabella came looking to argue after remarking snarky comments about Yurios fans. As any good idol would he stood for his fans. I mean of course he would, wouldn't you? Anyway JJ laughs off most of Yuri Plisetsky's very hostile and rude comments and actions. He tells Yurio to calm down before anything escalated. We then see Otabek passing through the lobby to leave the hotel pass all of this drama. He was stopped by Jean Jacques to ask if he wanted to go to dinner. Otabek kindly declined and JJ said it was because of his lone wolf tendencies. Which can be seen throughout the series. So, fast forward through Yuri and Victors bag of nuts drama and engagement ring fiasco to where we see practically all of the qualifiers eating dinner. INCLUDING OTABEK. They were showing no signs of inviting JJ. I found that rude, but you know none of them really took a liking to JJ and that's fine. They don't have to like him but at least be kind and make him feel included right? So Victor claims him and Yuri Katsuki are getting married when Yuri wins gold. This starts a bit of drama at the table it becomes a more hostile environment. They turn from being friends and casually chatting to giving death glares across the table to Yuri and Victor all of a sudden ready for competition. JJ and Isabella walk past seeing and hearing this, JJ decides to remark in JOKING MATTER that he can't congratulate Yuri and Victor on the marriage because he'd be winning gold and him and Isabella would be getting married. Okay can we pause for a second, it's clear that he loves her a lot. Regardless if he wins or he looses they'll probably get married. Okay, now we can return, all of the other skaters leave mumbling about JJ's 'rude' and once again obnoxious behavior. He then screams it's a joke trying to make all feelings mutual trying to create a bond with these skaters. It is clear that he doesn't have a strong relationship with the other skaters. More obviously Yurio but, we can also see the small hints from the other skaters such as Victor in episode eight where he chooses not to converse with JJ. This creates a different set of lonely. I think what can only be described by how JJ put it. He was falling off of a cliff and all of the other skaters were peering down at him. I mean..it couldn't just be pressure making him feel that way. Maybe it was how they made him feel excluded from their friendship. Or dinners. Or maybe the way they avoided him or treated him badly. Maybe that's what was pooling on top of the pressure as well. Well, there's what I wrote. I was writing everything I thought. Spilling my emotions of the matter onto the keyboard which ended up here. Anyway...this is my character analysis on JJ. I truly believe he has many layers. He isn't boiled down to six words because of a few comments he said. All the characters in Yuri!!! On ice have depth, I just think JJ deserves to be recognized more and be seen as an actual character and part of the story rather than a comedic relief.

Note: Because I was at the beach this weekend. Lol, it’s obvious who my fave is.

And of course, instead of being mad Victor gets up and asks you to dance with him...

He watches it whenever he has a competition far away and you can’t make it.

Yuuri Katsuki:

At first he’s worried he hasn’t packed everything.

Does he have enough sunscreen? Do you have your shades? Are his trunks suitable for such a vacation?

“Please stop worrying, it’ll be great.”

“I just want you to have a good time.”

He’s not too excited since there are quite a few beaches in Japan. There’s one near where he lives even.

It’s his first time going out to a beach with you though.

You probably end up in one of those resorts that let people in throughout the day so there’s tons of people.

Yuuri is a bit anxious.

He loosens up though after you invite him into the water with you.

Completely ignores everyone else in favour of having fun with you building a decent sized castle-

Which gets deMOLISHED BY SOME GUYS PLAYING VOLLEYBALL.

Unfortunately, said beach guys catch sight of you and decide ‘oooh who do we have here?’

Big mistake boys.

So Kingdom Hearts is my baby first and foremost. I identified a lot with Riku and also with Roxas, mostly bc Riku started out as a flat and sort of asshole character (which I most definitely am) and had to deal with darkness (HELLO anxiety and depression) overcoming him. He had to fight back and learn how to control it and also how to cope with his friends offering help and never QUITE being able to reach him. And Roxas was just… so used. So angry. He had no idea what was going on and all he DID know was that he was a pawn. Never supposed to exist. The people around him were fakes, his childhood was stolen. I have a lot of deep seated psychological trauma I’m trying to work through, can you tell?

That was two characters and the ask said one. Oops!

Omg let’s go WAY BACK to a manga called Vampire Knight. It was terrible. Truly awful. I loved it so much. There was this character named Zero and I had his tattoo literally inked onto my body when I was 16. I named me car after him. This is so embarrassing kill me. He was torn between where he was SUPPOSED to be in the world (elite vampire hunter anyone?) and where he WAS in the world (turned into a vampire by this conniving bitch who killed his entire family.) And the only thing that really kept him toeing the line was the overwhelming desire to protect the ones he loves most. How typical manga does this sound right now. Anyway, that desire to help family (for him, the love of his life/fellow prefect at the school Yuki and his adoptive father. For me, my sisters) kept me from killing myself on more than one occasion. It’s been so many years since I’ve even thought about that story LMAO

So currently. Let’s see. I’m a HUGE slut for gay skaters, as you can tell by my blog title. So Yuri on Ice. BRO. The way Victor hides his own psych issues behind that TOO obviously fake mask of oblivious joy and pushes Yuri to be happier, better, bigger than he was. The way he dropped everything for That Boy who he loved so immediately. He’s a goddamn martyr, and I identify so closely with that it’s honestly disgusting. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he felt lifeless before Yuri and that’s a huge reason why he ran away, but I understand all too well that hopeless question of “is there anything beyond this? Is this what I’m stuck doing for the rest of my days?” Also he’s super codependent with his dog and LET’S FACE IT SO AM I OKAY HE’S JUST SUCH A GOOD BOY. Also, people look up to him?? He’s afraid of letting people down?? I’m just projecting my insecurities onto a fictional character???

Check Please! I wish I could identify with Shitty in all honesty because bro is hilarious, charismatic, successful, talented, and also socially aware as much as he can be despite his privilege (which he is also aware of!) But. My son. The one and only Kent Parson. Poor child is dealing with so much. First love rejects you and ignores you and downplays the fact that you definitely had something going on? Been there, done that. It fucking sucked. CONSTANTLY facing the pressure of being better than your previous self, better than others, better than the past you’re STILL trying to leave behind but it follows you no matter what? Yup. That also fucking sucks. Dealing with a range of undiagnosed disorders and abandonment issues that were instilled upon you when you were vulnerable and pliant and young? I’m getting in too deep here. And one last thing: acting cavalier about it, putting on a front of smug, joking asshole? Being a bro and crying behind closed doors? Picking fights when your shit gets so heavy you have to unleash it on SOMEONE?

Finally, let’s get into Eerie Crests, my newest baby but DEFINITELY NOT THE WEAKEST. I’m not sure if I can pick just one? They’re all such rounded, dented, wounded characters and a piece of each person individually speaks to me? Dallas hates himself and is dealing with major abandonment issues. He pushes Malek’s buttons even though he KNOWS it’s wrong and that he’s being irrational. Malek wants to better himself not FOR himself but for his family despite having faced hardship and loss. He plays cool and calm despite the absolute bullshit he’s going through at home. He’s constantly trying to help Dallas (and literally everyone else lbh) cope even though he himself is doing something he knows is bad for him and that his friends hate (smoking in his case, drinking in mine.)

Blake is bitter from his past relationship and needy. He needs validation and seems to lash out sometimes. Blake is me and I am him and I need MORE DEVELOPMENT BELL PLEASE GIVE ME EXTRAS FOR THIS CHILD. Poppy is exasperated and impatient and also SO GOOD at keeping secrets. She’s family/friend-oriented and also a wlw and she’s willing to follow her friend into the black woods where their other friend disappeared and was apparently murdered even though she doesn’t feel the same way (that he’s alive) but bc she trusts Dallas and doesn’t want to abandon him. THAT LOYALTY.

This somehow turned away from why I identify with her and what I look up to in her, but let’s be totally honest my crush on Poppy is REAL.

i’m always late for these now but oh well

i can’t believe i’m making an ebay account happy new year LOL

Third day of the new year!

Went to hangout with ryan and leighton. They wanted to try marugame udon so!!! Also i saw adam but didnt say hi, oops. In any case. We were like hey let’s do something like walk around! But it rained a little so we bought some cuties from trader joe’s and ended up at ryan’s house and basically sat in his kotatsu for 4 hours then i came home. I also finally know how it feels like when the manga says that your legs get tangled inside the kotatsu. And when you literally cannot get out of it. Plus the feeling of losing the ability to walk because ya gurl tried to stand up after crawling out of the kotatsu and just fell back down What a day LOL

my brain in general has forgotten how it feels like to study …oh dear

went to portland with alice to check out apartments!!! woot. lots of fun going around/looking at the city. landed on thursday night and waited at the airport for alice and ate mcdonalds/watched the office haha friday: alice had work all day ): so i went out to meet up with yuri and leslie who happened to be out in portland too! walked to the alberta arts district to eat with them at pok pok noi. just walked around afterwards exploring in the rain before getting back home to eat dinner with alice at like 8…lol we went to bamboo sushi in sw and alice treated me to omakase as a congrats on getting my new yob!! woot also did some walking around in the neighborhood - will likely spend quite a bit of time in the powell city of books! saturday: the day we actually went out to see properties! grabbed some blue star donuts and headed into nw district - looked at some apartments and then grabbed lunch at this cute italian place that i will most likely frequent. started talking to alice about stuff and being weak, i cried and then we got free hazelnut ice cream…LOL. it was really good sunday: since we toured places that i actually liked yesterday, we basically just decided to walk around different areas. waterfront park, pioneer square…we spent a while in nordstrom rack and sephora looking for stuff for alice! lol. then dinner again at bamboo sushi and dessert at salt & straw :> monday morning: waking up early to get to the airport for alice’s flight. bought more donuts at the airport for mom! then i sat at the airport watching the office and eating until the airplane ride where i got a whole row to myself~

and that was my portland trip shortened LOL. but~ excited about the new city, definitely excited about the donuts!

February 19th

My first day of work!! Went in earlies and had onboarding for about two hours with amother new hire. Then i returned to my room where i met my coworker and my manager! Both of whom are in the same room and we each have a desk. (Ima have to request a standing desk :O) anywayss. Got a company laptop - thank god it’s not bulky. And then i’ve got two monitors on my desk too! #bless

Then jlw went through more ux stuff with me and i also went to a stand up meeting. Like. Those are real man. Then went to company lunch! Where new hires introduce themselves and i realize that i have never used a dishwasher before and everyone was shookt lol.

Afterwards, i went to a sprint meeting AND BOIIIII PLANNING POKER DOE??? Lololol. I have to say i did not understand a single thing that was going on. Took about an hour and a half…

Anyways. went back in where jlw continued where she left off and then finally let me read some onboarding stuff on my own before she headed out at 4 and then me, leaving swiftly at 4 as well LOL

SO that was my first day! Trying to get everything in order - i hope that everything goes great and that i learn lots and lots! :> although…windows computer already killing me, no wonder people use mouses instead of the trackpad. Also…gotta learn Axure + in depth photoshop so…WOOT WOOT

2/28/17 First ever happy hour but also goodbye party for kyle - also like the first time i talked to him since the one and a half week i been there (minus when we introduced ourselves) but sads cause he was kinda a squish and everyone seemed to have a chill time working with him :/ oh well

I went bowling today!! It was an engineering celebration so i thought - why not, let’s be social for a little bit. And it turned out to be fun~ we had some fuds and i played two rounds. And I got a strike in one of the rounds! Woot woot. Anyways. It was enjoyable, not as awkward as i had envisioned. Also i was able to successfully catch the bus home so that was great :>

In other news. It looks like my one on one anxiety wont dissipate soon. Esp since last week, the vp of engineering just sent me a calendar invite for a one on one and i literally got stressed out for a straight 30 min before i said yes to the invite and could slowly go back to focusing on work lol…. EDIT: it ended up being around 15 minutes and i did not really enjoy it at all

Ok so i finally talked to this girl at work (who i think is really pretty omfg) the other day and she’d been curling her hair recently and as we were walking out of the bathroom i was like I REALLY LIKE YOUR HAIR And then she said my hair is so straight and healthy - “do you straighten it? It’s really pretty” and i’m just over here crying on the inside because it looks like hay and only happened to be really straight that day for god knows what reason. SO BASICALLY THE STARS ALIGNED JUST SO WE COULD HAVE THIS CONVERSATION Also she said she recently bought a curler that just “does it for you” and gurl i need that because idk how to DO ANYTHING TO MY HAIR UGH
