MAYBE it’s just the chronic depersonalizator in me but something about collecting physical objects and specifically thrifting them just makes me sooo happy. Same with archival or curating things you like. Like it’s just so tangible, I love being like wow. This item has been alive since whatever date I can find and probably passed through so many hands and now it’s here. And I love it. And eventually it’ll go to someone else but for now it’s mine. And it’s so physical and 3D someone made this with their hands, so mcuh had to happen for every item to exist. That’s sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo alive to me.
