This is a hard one because it super depends on both.

He's not letting Oni in fully because he might be trying to expect something else down the road or try and seek stuff out instead.

He sat down on the couch in the Northeastern living room, to see Mass and Virginia already sitting there together. They were merely talking casually, so York didn’t mind the idle chitter chatter. York scrolled on his phone for a moment, before looking at the date. Shit, today was the day already? Today was Valentine’s Day and he had completely forgotten about it. York scrambled for ideas on what to do that was last minute and he came up with a relatively cute idea: A homemade coupon book, flowers and chocolates. The “coupon book” was filled with all sorts of things. Such as:

Cali finished up his breakfast sooner rather than later, then went to wash the dishes off. He came back into the room, seeing York holding the flowers. Roses. They looked beautiful. Cali smiled and took the flowers from York, going to his room briefly to put them close to the sunlit window. Cali returned and York was holding a box of chocolates and the homemade coupon book. Cali went for the latter first, flipping through the pages for a moment then seeing the more “steamy” ones. “I’ll be using some of those later” he teased, making York blush. Cali already tore out the “2 minute makeout session” coupon and showed it to York. York blushed a bit deeper and walked toward Cali slowly. As a bonus, York removed his beanie, revealing his somewhat messy yet perfectly straightened brown hair. Cali used that as leverage and pulled it a bit while initially kissing York. York growled a bit, pulling Cali’s in return, making him moan. York remembered the “choking” move. He pressed his hand on Cali’s throat with just the right amount of pressure, making Cali’s emotions go in a whirlwind. The two enjoyed a lovely meal and some wine, then went home to relax. They were with each other pretty much all day, not leaving each other’s sides. The moment they walked out toward Gov’s area and saw a bunch of random board games laid out though, they became curious. York went up to Gov first and asked what was happening. Gov replied that he texted a bunch of the states and said that if they wanted to come down with himself, Florida and Louisiana to play some games, that Gov would have them all ready. A few of the Midwestern states, Georgia, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Texas all showed up as well. They greeted Cali and York with smirks, as if they knew exactly what went down that day. Florida then suggested that instead of “boring board games” that they all play stuff like “7 Minutes in Heaven” and “Truth or Dare”. After some thorough convincing, Texas and Gov were down to play. Florida gets an empty bottle and lays it out in the middle of the floor. He spins it first, landing on Gov. Loui gets a twisted grin on his face as he watches Florida take Gov into the closet. Gov looks a bit nervous, but didn’t entirely hesitate. 

“Imagine it lands on you two. That’d be a nice coincidence” Loui says, looking right at York and Cali. 

“Heh, knowing my luck, that won’t be the case” York replied with a chuckle.

After about six and a half minutes, Gov and Florida step out. Gov’s tie is now loosened and he looks a bit flushed. Florida looks content and tells York to spin next. York sighs and spins the bottle, subtly hoping for Cali. Nope… Massachusetts. The two look at each other and just shake their heads. Florida sort of presses them to go on, but then realizes why the two are uncomfortable almost immediately after Loui shakes his head at Flo. York spins the bottle again and just like in a cliched movie, it lands on Cali. The two more than willingly to into the closet together. York looks up at Cali a bit, waiting for something to happen. Cali gets his payback, pinning York up against the wall and kissing his lips softly. York enjoys the kiss, melting into Cali’s embrace, occasionally thrusting his pelvic region into Cali’s to tease him. 

The seven minutes passed by as if they were nothing. Cali’s beanie was off and his curly hair slightly a mess, from York pulling on it. York’s neck was now given ample markings by Cali’s eager self. Everyone clamored at this, saying their “Ooh’s” and teasing the pair. York blushed heavily and sat down, hiding his head on Cali’s shoulder. Cali spun the bottle and the game went on a little longer than anticipated. 

Truth or Dare grew to be relatively uneventful, as a lot of the dares were made up by Florida and Louisiana. And everyone had sort of grown used to their brands of chaos. They all decided to order takeout and watch movies instead, minus Cali and York. They wanted to spend some time alone, so they went back to York’s room. The Northeast half was relatively quiet for once, so the two watched a movie together in the room, cuddling each other and kissing. Cali and York shared some of the Valentine’s Day chocolate as they enjoyed the movie and each other’s company. Once the movie ended, Cali looked at York with the wide smile that York grew to love immensely. 

“Today was wonderful, Yorkie. Thank you so much. I-I love you” Cali said nervously, his face redder than ever.

“I love you too, Cal” York said dreamily, kissing Cali’s forehead. 

It may have been much sooner than expected, but they said “I love you” to each other. York felt like he meant it, and could say it confidently. Despite everything that happened in his past, York finally felt like he could embrace someone else and move on. York cried a little at this, thanking Cali for it. “You’re welcome, Yorkie. Anything for you” Cali replied, kissing York’s cheek.
