Can you make a tutorial on how you world build and make ocs? I can't seem to make any people in my brain, but then when I try to come up with environments jobs, beliefs and little details to slowly come up with someone, I think: well I don't really know how people have influenced the world- it's a weird loop
To be honest, I don't think I can! Writing is an extremely personal process. The way I write is directly related to how I process things, what I find important in stories, years of my own analysis of my and other's writing, etc... The way you write will be unique to you, as well. But I can explain how I personally think of it.
The short answer:
Write. Write anything and everything, it's a tool to explore your ideas. Analyze your own writing, and write more. Then, as you discover which ideas you want to develop, write more to explore them more. You won't know what you want otherwise!
The long answer:
I think this kind of loop is common. It's easy to feel like everything needs to be done "at once," because our job as writers is to make elements logically fit with each other for our readers. But as you've discovered, developing multiple elements simultaneously isn't really possible, or at least is extremely difficult.
Personally, when I think of writing, I break it into three major elements; characters, world, and plot. As much as possible every scene explores one or more of these, and as much as possible these three things tie back into what I personally consider most important: theme.
Everything I do is in service of the themes I want to present. Without them my events feel aimless. It can take a while to discover them, but they're the core of my work. You will have to discover what you feel is the core of yours. Analyzing other media helps with this too.
Concepts in your brain exist in a state of infinite potential. But when you start writing you have to start making choices, which removes potential as you move forward... But you have to move forward anyways. If there's ideas you want to explore later, you can always explore them later.
What this ends up meaning, to answer your question, is that I don't think of my characters as "people in my brain" or my worlds as something people have influenced... Not at their core, at least. They are tools that I use to represent specific ideas. Obviously they're also my blorbos, but mostly they're serving a specific narrative purpose.
So above all else... Write. Write, and discover what you're writing about, and then start over and write with that in mind. Keep doing this. But you have to write!
#I wish there were a cleaner answer to this kind of thing#and I also wish that there were a way to answer that didnt feel like 'just do it lol'#but... genuinely you kind of just have to do it!#I find it helps to reframe writing as trying to figure out which ideas I don't like#then if I write anything that feels bad to me#it's not about being a bad writer or anything like that. it's just something I dont want in my story and I delete it.#like if you find yourself naturally coming up with worldbuilding elements. its okay to just start there!#you can start like 'I really want giant mushrooms' and then start thinking about how cool that would be#and like oooh what if there were really cool caves full of mushrooms and all glowy yeaaah#then you start building people from that. colonies of fungal people or something. this is still worldbuilding#then you might think now. whats a plot that could go with this and show off my cool mushrooms.#maybe the mushrooms are all connected and the main one is dying and no one knows why. it's a classic plot.#if you still dont feel like you can find a character in that. keep going! why is it dying? how can it be saved? can it? if not then why?#etc etc etc. when I am writing I actually ltierally write out 101 questions like this as I'm going and then I answer them#and if I cant answer them. then I figure out a different situation that doesnt bring that question up LMFAO#eventually you can decide you want a hero who idfk will replace the big mushroom or something. a sacrifice and immortality simultaneously#then you can be like yeah so my themes are probably about sacrifice. connection to others. love for your community. stuff like that#and then you can go back to your world and say. yeah I think that people should have telepathic communication on some level!#I'm just making all this up right now but I just want to illustrate somehow how this kind of cyclical process can actually be a tool#because it's not about getting it all right at once. its about leaning into the cycle and how it guides you through developing these#anyways idk if this makes any sense. if this doesnt feel like it works for you then it probably literally doesnt#but writing more and analyzing writing more is ALWAYS good#it will never make your writing worse to do those things.#unfortunately (said with all the love in the world) writing is an endless process of learning more about who you are and what you care abou#its wonderful but it's hard and theres no way to skip that process#good luck!#asks#anon#writing stuff#oh also if at any point you go hm. that big thing isnt working for me I think...

Hey, it's me again, young Grima Anon, here with another take.
Do you think a young, more innocent Grima would still introduce itself as the Fell dragon Grima? Or would it just introduce itself as Grima and nothing else?
That's the take, it's just a question, that's all.

What are the best and worst parts of life at the Devil's Nest?
"Hmm, The best part is being able to find a place where I can be myself. A place with others like me, of safety. It was a big change for sure but they really aren't so bad- most of the time.
The worst thing I suppose is it can be hard to get time alone , some of the people here can get pretty nosy and there's almost no hiding anything from the Boss.
In away I guess living here is a double edged sword, it's safety can also be a cage for those of us with no where else to go. Nowhere else we can feel safe or would be dangerous to leave during the light of day. It's great to have a place to go, people to feel safe with but when it's the only place, it can be hard to tell if it's a home or a prison."
#oooh a good question#keep it secret; ask#it's sort of a catch 22 I guess sure it offers a place of safety and comfort but for some it could also be seen as another sort of prison#or cage with no where else to go/ the only place they can go#; ic

One of the weird things about growing up me is just the increased lack of social awareness sort of slowly reaching a crescendo in junior high. I remember getting picked on a lot more as I got older and older in elementary school, and the bullying started hitting in a weird way in Jr. High. Like, my knowledge of age-appropriate things had finally capped out and I was just entirely oblivious to the fact I was being picked on. Sometimes people made it easy, like the kid who told me my mom made me wrong, but sometimes it was harder. I do have some interesting memories from that time, though, and a lot of them are centered around a very small group of people who were willing to explain things to me. I remember in 7th grade I met a girl in a math class who was incomprehensibly kind to me. She wanted to be a special ed teacher, her older and younger brothers were both on the autism spectrum, and she was friends with all the emo and goth kids, so she was like the perfect storm of patient kindness and anti-establishment knowledge I needed. I remember one day walking out of math class after a fairly hard quiz, and she said,
âOh man, that quiz was hard. I could really use a hug.â
An I responded with, âOh, yeah, a hug would be awesome.â And then we just kinda sat there until I saw the light flick on in her brain, like âOooh, thatâs what her deal is!â and she said âHey, can I have a hug from you?â and I said, âYeah!â And gave her a hug, and like, even if I didnât know what my deal was, she sure as hell did.
In addition to being absurdly kind, she was also EXTREMELY conventionally attractive, good at makeup, funny, and had an insatiable bloodlust for bullies, so she drew a lot of a certain type of people in. I always kinda felt lucky just being her friend because God only knows how I would have lived otherwise. One day we were walking to an assembly and she did a little jog to catch up to me because my confused gay ass always walked SUPER fast, and she got me to slow down so we could talk and that was VERY kind. And because of that, one of the kids in our class who had a HUGE crush on her and didnât know the next thing about her thought that if he made me look mad enough or dumb enough or something that sheâd stop talking to me and start talking to him. So he starts by coming up to me and saying,
âHey dude, I fucking fingered your sister last night.â
And I am a bonafide grade-a dumbass who Does Not Know What Sex Is so I thought he meant he fingered her for a crime. But my sister was like 5 so I was like âWhat crime could a 5 year old commit?â so I was like âWhat do you mean? Like, shoplifting?â
And to his credit, he kinda stopped for a second. Not because he wanted to, but because with all his experience as a bully he had yet to encounter someone quite as earnestly confused as me. After he recovered from what, to him, was a bizarre crazy-person non-sequitur, he said,
âNo, dude, I mean I fingered your sister last night.â
And I said, âDude, sheâs likeâŠ5, what could you have fingered her for?â And he was doubling down so he goes âBecause I fucking wanted to,â with a big cocky smile on his face, which was NOT an answer to my question because I NEEDED to know what crime this dick thought a 5 year old could commit between 6:00 dinner and 8:30 bed time. So I kept asking, âBut like, what was the crime? Like what did you finger her for?â and he kept being like âBecause I want toâ or âBecause your sisterâs nasty like that,â both of which were wholly insufficient answers. He thought I was ignoring him or stupid, and I thought he was a total moron, and realistically both of us were right.
And the whole time weâre talking about this, she is glaring daggers at him and telling him to Shut The Entire Fuck Up because she knows what heâs saying and she knows I do not and she doesnât want me to learn like this. And finally, because he thinks sheâs doing that thing that girls donât actually do but that boys THINK they do of feigning being mad to play along and egg me on, he starts looking at her like theyâre in cahoots, and she says âOh my God you sick jerk just leave us ALONE!â and that gets a teacherâs attention. And suddenly heâs red-faced and confused because he thought he was looking like Chad Thundercock the top king stud of all time and realistically heâs looking more like the comedy relief pseudo-bully from an 80s film. And because she yelled at him to leave us alone, a teacher almost immediately comes over to check on whatâs going on, and she explains it all in graphic detail and that kid got detention and probably a tension headache from trying to make his brain think good enough to figure out how all this happened. And once it was done she just grabbed my arm by the elbow and said âIâm so sorry about that, come on, letâs just go,â and I said, âIdk why youâre sorry, I donât even know whatâs going on.â And she said, âI know, sweetie, I know. Do me a favor and donât look it up.â And because I promised her I didnât end up knowing what fingering was until I was a Sophomore in high school when someone in theater explained it to me and I was retroactively so mad at this kid I almost went blind.
I actually have a LOT of stories about this kind of stuff so if yâall like this I will post more.

â âș Introduction â âș Chapter one â âș Chapter two â âș Chapter three â âș

Your father sat with Jake in his arms atop his bed, stroking his hair. You however paced back and forth in the room. Restless. Â
âPlease, come here my little princessâ your father said as he stretched out his hands towards you.Â
You shook your head. A single tear slipping from your eye down one of your blazing hot cheeks.Â
âNo, Iâm gonna go get her backâÂ
Jake sobbed at that, a sound so broken it made your heart break even more. But it would be fixed if you got her back, he would be fixed, you would be fixed.Â
You ran from you and your brothers shared room. Ignoring the pleading cries from your father that were begging for you to stay.
The night was dark, the stars and moon above were the only source of light as you ran through the gardens. As you ran to the borders.Â
The mist was high and it looked thick. You laid a hand on it and felt it cool your palm.Â
âIâm coming motherâ You said, eyes determined to locate the realm that lay beyond.Â
And then you pushed yourself through - not caring about the pain, not caring about that piece of soul inside of you that tried to escape from the fate you were putting it through. It tore your insides apart but you kept going. Kept pushing, screaming out for her.Â
You couldâve sworn you heard her scream your name from the other side. But you kept pushing, step by step, until you passed out.

Jay stumbled back. Shock clearly written all over his face.Â
He looked to his mother, who only sent him a smile, and then back to her, back to your mother. For a second he studied her face. He could see it, the resemblance to both you and Jake. But she was more than that. He had met her before. He had met her that night.Â
Her hand rested on his shoulder. âCome, sit down and tell us everythingâÂ
So he did. Not even the smallest detail was left out. The two women reminded him of young girls when they giggled and cheered him on. Their happiness was intoxicating.Â
âMy little princess! So strong!â She said as he finished. âIâm glad the two of you finally found each other, it was about timeâÂ
âYeahâ he said with a small smile.
She smiled again, but this time it didnât reach her eyes.Â
âIâm sorry I put such a big burden on your shoulders that night. But I was too far from the castle and you were there⊠and it felt as though the fates themselves were pulling me in your direction. I had to trust that was for a reasonâÂ
He pulled his knees close to his chest. âIâm glad you found me. I donât even wanna know what wouldâve happened if I hadnât reached her when I didâÂ
His mother sat down in front of him. âDonât think thoughts like that. It wonât do you any goodâÂ
He let out a puff of air, and his mother pushed his shoulder playfully. âSo you knew who she was this entire time?â Jay asked as he laid beck on the porch deck, allowing the sun to warm his body.Â
His mother kicked his leg. âOf course I did. You wouldâve known too if youâd only asked me the right questionsâÂ
Jay sighed as he ran his hands down his face. What the hell was this day?Â
âDid you only come to talk to me about her? You canât be that bad at romance now, can you?â She looked to the late queen of Night. âI seriously doubt it with all the elaborate dates he always takes Sunghoon on,â the pair laughed.Â
âNo, I don't need help with the romance. I need help with Jakeâ he finally said it out loud. It felt as if a burden had been lifted from his shoulders. With that he sat up once more.Â
âWhat has my son done now?â her tone was suddenly stern. Hard. But it wasnât directed at him, no this was the voice of a mother being told of her childs ungodly behavior.Â
âHeâs my friend, heâs my⊠brotherâ he winced at the word, and the queens shared a look. âbut he will be devastated when he finds out. He likes not being crown prince, he likes being normal. And your daughter being mated to me, means she will have to give up the crownâÂ
He looked down at his hands as he played with the rings that sat there.Â
His mother pulled him close, and he rested his head on her shoulder.Â
âHe will understand,â she said in a soothing voice.Â
âNo, he won't. He will see it as a betrayal, and why shouldnât he? Iâve kept the fact that Iâm mated to his sister, his whole world, from him. Iâve lied to his face. And those two things are bad enough, but Iâm also forcing him to take back a crown that he never wanted in the first place. Iâm stealing his life from him, for what? To be happy?âÂ
The words tasted wrong in his mouth, you were more than just the tool for happiness. You were strong, powerful. A princess filled with joy, with kindness. He couldnât wait to see what else was lying beneath that beautiful surface of yours.Â
âIf Jaeyun doesnât want the throne, he can pass it up. No one would be the wiser because of his little disappearing act. It would be the way of the land, it would find a new family to protect itâ Your mother said with a shrug.Â
She was right. He had completely forgotten that the laws of the lands outside of the mist worked differently. If an heir was not accepted by the land and the magic that poured through it, or if the heir chose a different path in life, it could choose another.Â
âIn regards to this so-called betrayal you speak ofâŠâ she sighed. âwell he will just have to get over itâÂ
Jayâs mother burst out laughing. âIâm so sorry dear but your son is a stubborn one, that might be easier said than doneâÂ
Your mother sighed. âIâm sorry, that might be my doingâ she leaned black in the seat. âBut my son clearly loves the two of you, so Iâm sure that he will get over it. He just needs to understand first. Understand the bond that the two of you will share is unlike anything elseâÂ
But something told Jay that it would end up being a lot harder than the two queens made it seem to be.

âWhat about this one?â your father said as he pulled down a crown from its stand.Â
You shot him a look.Â
âWhat? What's wrong with it?â He asked as he examined it in the light.Â
âItâs pink dadâ you said as you shook your head, once again turning your attention to the crowns with darker stones.Â
âSo what? You used to love pinkâ he said with a smirk, earning him a laugh.Â
âUsed to being the key word of that sentenceâÂ
He shrugged and threw himself on the ottoman that stood against the huge floor to ceiling windows.Â
âYou really donât wanna tell me about you and a certain prince?â He asked as he raised his brows suggestively.Â
The relationship between you and your father had always been one based on trust and kindness. There were only a few things that you had chosen to keep from him, but you still hadnât decided if it would be wise to confide in him when it came to Jay.Â
âI do know his father you know, could set you upâÂ
You threw one of the crowns at him and he caught it easily with a loud: âHa!âÂ
âI donât need you to set me upâ You picked a crown and weighed it in your hands, admiring the stones and how they almost twinkled as stars in the lights.Â
You had turned your back to your father, so you missed the almost sad smile that painted his lips and features. But his eyes were shining like little stars. He rose and pulled you into his side.Â
âThat one was your mothers, Iâm sure she would love for you to wear itâ He laid his cheek on top of your head as he squeezed your shoulder.Â
âIt was a gift from her best friendâÂ

Jay sent you a message as soon as he had left the mist. Both because he was a little desperate to see you as soon as possible, but also because the day had taken a toll on him, he needed sleep.Â
âWhatâs that?â He asked as he pointed to the box that peaked out from the net you carried in. You lifted it a little.Â
âOh, itâs a crown,â You said with a shrug. âIt was my mothers, a gift from her best friend according to my father, you know just something to remind me of her for the autumn ballâÂ
Jay smiled, it was small, almost secretive, but there was a genuine happiness in his eyes you hadnât seen before. It almost looked like pride.Â
You returned his smile.Â
âAre you ready?â You asked and stretched out your hand for him to take, and he did without hesitation.Â
It took every bit of willpower in him not to pull you close, to interlace your fingers and never let go. You let him towards the shadows hiding in the bushes, and used it as what almost seemed like a staircase.Â
He followed you without hesitation. Just as he knew he always would.Â

âThat took long enough donât you think?â Sunghoon said as you arrived in Jayâs room. The shadows had led you there instead of back to the lobby.Â
The smell and the feel of the room was enough to drive you crazy, and you could feel how the shadows almost pulsated in the corners of the room, doing their best to learn as much as they could about Jay while you tried to keep them in tow.Â
Sunghoon pulled his best friend close without even a tiny bit of hesitation.Â
âAre you okay?â He asked as he rubbed Jays back with a flat hand.Â
You saw how Jay gave Sunghoon a squeeze before he let him go.Â
âYeah, Iâm goodâÂ
Sunghoon then turned to you, his eyes serious, cincere.Â
âThank you, for helping him,â he said while a smile tugged on the corner of his mouth.Â
âAnytimeâÂ
The best friend once again turned to the heir. âWhat should I tell Jake? He has been sitting out there all day, staring at the door waiting for your returnâÂ
âJust tell him he sneaked past while you either distracted him or when he went to the bathroomâ you said with a shrug, suddenly realizing you hadnât let go of Jayâs hand yet.Â
You gave it a squeeze and he found your eyes within a second.Â
âIâll leave you guys to it. Iâll see you soonâÂ
He squeezed your hand three times, both to reassure you. But also convey everything he felt, that he couldnât yet say.Â
You stepped through a shadow and you were once again gone.Â
Jay released a breath.Â
âAre you ready to face the music?â Sunghoon asked as he gestured towards the door that led from his bedroom to the shared living room of the apartment.Â
âLetâs get it over with,â Jay said.Â
Jakeâs eyes were stuck to the front door, all the while he was bouncing his legs up and down at an ungodly speed.Â
âJakeâ He said quietly, capturing the attention of the prince.Â
He flew from his seat. âGods Jay, when the fuck did you get here?âÂ
He shrugged. âI guess itâs been an hour or two. I snuck in while you were in the bathroomâÂ
Jake was over him in an instant, arms pulling him close.Â
âIâm so sorry. I didnât mean itâÂ
For once these past few weeks, Jay allowed himself to be on the receiving end of Jakeâs kindness, of his brotherly love. It had been a hard thing to accept with the secret he carried as a song in his heart.Â
âItâs okayâ He said as he gave his brother a squeeze.Â
Jake pulled away from him, and with sincerity said: âItâs not!â Jake held his shoulders, squeezing them a little for emphasis.Â
Jay smiled sheepishly. âIt is. I know you didnât mean it, itâs just⊠I have a lot going onâ He sighed. âAnd at some point Iâm properly gonna end up doing something to hurt you. And when that time comes, I hope you forgive me tooâÂ
He was pulled in for another hug. âOf course man, youâre my brother. Iâll always forgive youâÂ
Jayâs heart broke at that, because he knew it was a lie.

You texted Jungwon as soon as you were back home in your apartment. You needed to get this secret out. Out in the open. As soon as you opened the door with tears in your eyes, he had you in his arms. Soon after, he made sure that Sunoo was on his way.Â
This would take more than just him, and despite your protests, it made it easier. You ripped off two bandaids at once instead of just the one.Â
The two males stared at you with open mouths as you finished your story.Â
âI knew you were crazy, but damn girlâ Sunoo said as he leaned back in the armchair that stood in your living room.Â
âI still canât believe neither you nor Niki have told me all these yearsâ Jungwon pouted a little and your heart shattered at that.Â
âIâm sorry, I know I shouldâve told you I just⊠didnât know howâÂ
Jungwon pulled you into his side and kissed the top of your head. âItâs okay. Sometimes people have secrets, Iâm just glad you finally felt comfortable enough to tell usâÂ
You hid your face in his chest, a lump once again forming in your throat.Â
And for a second you were almost certain that no one had ever been this loved.Â
Sunoo sat back quietly.Â
âWhatâs on your mind, Sun?â Jungwon asked.Â
âI donât know, I was just so convinced that the two of you were matesâ he crossed his arms with a little pout.Â
You laughed. âYeah, if Iâm being honest I hoped that tooâÂ
Jungwon pulled away to look at you. âWell, you still could beâÂ
You let go of his shirt and sat up. âHow would that even work?â You asked with a raised brow.Â
He cleared his throat. âWell, think about it⊠To enter his kingdom you need the bond. At that point in time the two of you hadnât met, therefore no bond and no accessâÂ
Your heart sped up and you felt your hands clam up as well, there was no doubt in your mind that your eyes were as large as teacups. And that little ping of hope awoke once again.Â
You swallowed once, trying to get a bit of moisture back in your mouth, your throat. âYou think?âÂ
Sunoo sat up and rubbed his hands against one another. âI mean itâs not impossible. But then again it might just be me thatâs desperate for my ship to finally sailâÂ
A laugh escaped you all. âLetâs hit the libraryâ Jungwon said and gave your thigh a playful smack.

You had lent every book you could find about marks and the stories from previous kings and queens that had been lucky enough to find their other halves.Â
The last two nights you had spent in the library crouched over them as you searched for the smallest detail.Â
It was beautiful here, the windows were large, letting in the smallest speck of light from the outside.Â
âIs this seat taken?â A voice said, and you knew who he was before you lifted your gaze. You could smell him a mile away.Â
You looked up to find Jay smiling at you as his hand rested on the chair directly across from you.Â
A small gesture from you later and he was plopped down in the squeaking chair.Â
He grabbed one of the books and read the title. You watched as his cheeks colored a little.Â
âI-â you started, but you didnât know what to say, how would you ever be able to explain this.Â
âSo, for academic purposes or just for your own curiosity?â He asked as he once again put down the book.Â
You laughed silently. âThis one is just for meâ you said as you tried your best to avoid his gaze.Â
Being caught right handed by the male that was the reason for your research was not something you had expected.Â
âWhat do you want to know?â He asked as he leaned over the table, arms crossed as he rested his chin on his hands.Â
You shrugged. âI donât knowâŠâ You said with a small voice.Â
âYou sure? Because I might be able to helpâÂ
âOh yeah?â You said with one brow raised. He nodded in response.Â
âYeah, my mom has taught me most of it all. Kind of a must for me to know how it all worksâÂ
It made sense that his family would know when it was the only way for kings and queens to not rule the land on their own. As far as you knew only one royal had chosen to do that, in the end adopting a few children that in the end would carry on her line. No one really knew how that had worked, but it had, the land accepted them.Â
âThe powers, how does that work with everything?â You asked. If you were being honest with yourself you hadnât meant to. It just slipped out. Jay grinned as he grabbed a notebook on your table and started drawing his lineage on one side.Â
âYou see, every king and queen, every heir will only ever end up finding someone to make the kingdom stronger. In times of war it could be an heir from the enemy kingdom, the land's way of ensuring peace. In times of drought it could be one from the Water or the Earth Kingdom to make sure someone took care of the crops and the earthâÂ
Jay drew a circle on the paper, connecting it with a line to one he had drawn only a moment before.Â
âThe soul ties are said to be written in our very souls, only to awaken when you come into contact with someone who will better your kingdom, and for our people; someone who will better you or your familyâÂ
He took a highlighter from the table and highlighted his mothers name on the family tree he had drawn.Â
âMy mother, for example, is a soul reader. She knows what a soul needs to blossom into its full potential, she knows what a soul needs to rehabilitate, to get back on track if the mind or the heart have led a person astray. A compliment for me and my fathers powerâÂ
He saw a flicker of something in your eye, but you were quick to push it away. He smiled.Â
âDo the mates find out at the same time?â You asked as you toyed with one of the many rings on your fingers.Â
âNo not always, sometimes one will feel the pull before the other. And you can either wait for the realization or tell ones mateâÂ
You nodded along. âWhat would that mean? Letâs say your mate knew she was yours, would she then have access to your kingdom?âÂ
Jay felt his heart speed up in his chest. Was this why you were researching? Did you have a theory? You had seen the castle through the mist, but had you put together the pieces? Or were you just starting to?Â
He leaned over the table, and could almost not hear his own voice as he spoke. âNo, the bond needs to be accepted for one to enter then. But I guess there could be flashes if my mate chose to stare into the mistâÂ
It almost looked like his words had lifted a burden from your shoulders and you smiled so genuinely at him, that he for a second almost leaned over completely and kissed you. Instead he settled for stretching a finger out towards you, searching for the touch of you.Â
You looked towards his hand, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks. Did he feel it too? This feeling of wanting to be near you, to touch you and breathe you in, in the same way you wanted to do with him?Â
His eyes were so gentle as he looked at you, all the while you looked for any type of confirmation that he wanted this too.Â
Jay gave you a slight nod as his throat bobbed, and before you could talk yourself out of it you stretched your hand out and let one of your fingers touch his.Â
You had held each other's hand when traveling home through the shadows the other day, but this was different. The two of you did this because you wanted too, not because you had to.Â
He slowly interlaced his fingers with yours, and he couldâve sworn he had stopped breathing. Your skin was so soft, and he felt like sparks were dancing where his own somewhat calloused hands met yours.Â
You took a deep breath and tried to once again focus on the task at hand. But he made it absolutely impossible.Â
This is it. He thought to himself. He would tell her, tell her everything. Right here.Â
âHeeseung I swear to god if you donât fuck off Iâm gonna end up setting you on fire!â You heard a femme voice scream a few rows of books away.Â
Your hand flew from his and he quickly swallowed the whine that threatened to slip from his throat.Â
The two of you looked to where you had heard the voice.Â
A beautiful fae walked towards you and Jay, rolling her eyes so far back in her head that you for a moment worried if they might get stuck back there. You hadnât met her before, hadnât really noticed her before now. But now you kind of wanted to befriend her.Â
She carried herself with the same grace as most princesses did. Hips swayed as she walked and when her eyes once again looked forward, yes a princess indeed. Yeonjunâs sister, heir to the Fire Kingdom. There was no mistaking the eyes that looked like liquid, molten amber and the red hair was of course also a dead giveaway.Â
Close behind her Heeseung followed, looking just as annoyed as she was. âLook itâs not my fault weâve been paired up for this assignment. That being said you will have to catch me before you can light me on fire and Iâm pretty sure your sparks arenât that fastâÂ
The pair walked right past your table, but neither of them seemed to really register anyone around them.Â
âIf I burn down the world, Iâm pretty sure Iâll at some point get to youâ she said in a stern voice that once again got lower and lower as she moved through the library.Â
âWell my brother literally commands ice, so Iâm pretty sure Iâll be good,â Heeseung commented in a cocky tone.Â
âOh yeah? Letâs test it out shall weâÂ
You heard a yelp and looked to Jay, who quickly threw a hand over his mouth to kill a laugh, you did the same as Heeseung continued: âWhat is it with you and Yeonjun and trying to light peoples hair on fire?!âÂ
âOh boo-hoo you avoided it, so donât cry about not burned hair now!â The princess answered, and you heard as one of the doors flung open and closed quickly.Â
âSheâll be the literal death of meâ Heeseung whispered to himself before he followed after her.Â
As the room once again quieted, you let out a chuckle.Â
âWhatâs that about?â You asked with a mischievous look in your eyes.Â
âThose two are the epitome of academic rivals, theyâve been partnered up for a project and they hate every second of itâÂ
Sunghoon was there in an instant, almost as if he was the one who could walk out of the shadows, none of you had really noticed him. Too occupied with the fight his brother had been a part of, and too aware of each other.Â
The friend plopped down in the chair next to Jay. âDonât lie to her now, my love. Those two have had it out for one another since birthâ He picked up one of the books that laid in front of you and sent Jay a knowing smile. âIf you ask me, Iâd say they should just fuck the tension away so the rest of us wont have to listen to them bicker at every fucking eventâÂ
He pulled out a few books of his own and started reading. Jay raised a brow, clearly not needing to even speak to communicate with his best friend.Â
âWhat? I study sometimes you knowâ was all the prince said, earning him a grin from his best friend.                                        Â
As soon as Sunghoon had drawn his attention back to his book, Jay once again stretched out an arm.Â
You looked from his hand to Sunghoon and made your eyes bigger for emphasis.Â
Jay rolled his eyes, and spoke into his mind: He won't even notice darling.
He saw your eyes narrow a bit, he couldnât really figure out if you had heard him or not. But you stacked a few books on top of eachother and once again took his hand in the makeshift privacy you had just made.Â
âYou do know I don't give a single fuck about whatever the two of you are up to right?â Sunghoon said without looking up from his book. He was only met with silence, one that he let linger for a few seconds, then he looked right up at you. âUnless you break his heart, in that case I will bury you in the core of one of the Snow-peak mountainsâÂ
The room dropped in temperature, and there was no doubt that he had something to do with it. You saw Jay smirk and shake his head.Â
You tried a few times to think up a response, one that wouldnât sound as sickening sweet as the words that were currently on the very tip of your tongue.Â
When none came, you took a deep breath, and decided you had nothing to lose.Â
âIâm pretty sure breaking his heart would mean breaking my own, so I donât see that happening anytime soon. Heâll always be safe with me, Sunghoonâ You said with a small smile. Desperately trying to calm your heart.Â
The ice princeâs facade melted like ice beneath a flame. And a kind smile, one revealing the hint of vampire teeth, was sent your way. You knew you had said the right thing.Â
You felt how Jay squeezed your hand in his. It was somewhat impossible for you to look at him, but in the end you managed. And when your eyes met his he said.Â
âAnd you will always be safe with meâ he said. Once again squeezing your hand thrice. Oh you were so screwed.

Omg it's finally here! I'm so sorry it took this long, but I was packing and then I had the whole move and then unpacking. So I've been busy! Finally had the time to sit down and actually read through it.
As always please let me know if you have any theories, or questions or if you just need to vent

Hi!! I saw that your requests were open and I'm a big fan of your work and I was wondering if you could write something for rafe where reader is a pogue and they need to steal something from tanney hill but Rafe comes home unexpectedly and reader is supposed to distract him but they end up fucking >.< tyyy!!!
Oooh this is freaky. I love it.
My requests are still open.
smut!! -> >.<, penetrative sex, rafe gets flashed, dom! rafe, missionary, size kink, tummy bulge, rafe doesn't pull out..
In and out. That was the plan you and Sarah had agreed on. She would search through the office while you guarded the halls to make sure the coast remained clear.
Things got complicated. Plans changed when Sarah realized that Rafe had taken the liberty to add locks onto the cabinets where the files are kept. Your heartbeat drummed through your ears as you noticed the flash of headlights from Rafe's truck shine through the glass windows.
"Shit. Sarah, Rafe's back early. ETA on the files?" you panic, scurrying through the tiles halls until your feet take you into the office where the blonde crouched, picking the lock with a bobby pin. "I've almost got it. Distract Rafe, keep him as far from here as possible."
Your legs carried you as fast as they could, hoping to meet him outside the front door but he was already inside, your head bumping into his firm chest at full force, sending you tumbling to the ground. "Holy shit. What the-" He's mid-curse when he notices the face of the intruder. Your face.
"Y/n? What the hell are you doing in here?" His thoughts beat your lips to the answer as they geared the possibilities. His jaw locks as it dawns on him, "Where's Sarah, huh? Is she in here? You helping her steal from me now too?"
His steps are powerful as they begin to clear the premises but you desperately grab onto his bulging biceps. "No, Rafe! Stop." Not expecting him to obey so easily, he whips around, startling you.
Just over his shoulder, you see Sarah's head peek out of the office. She gives a wave with the needed files in hand. You had to make sure Rafe didn't turn around, at all costs.
"I thought you were different, y'know? I always thought you were too good to be hangin' with those pogues-" He's about to turn around while Sarah sneaks out the back. You do the first idiotic thing that comes to mind. Your fingers are hooking under the fabric of your top and heaving upwards to flash him your tits.
His sentences break off into chopped, undecided stutters and his hands slowly reach for your round mounds. His hands were hesitating until you gave him a slight nod. "H-holy shit. Most fuckin' perfect pair of tits I've ever seen." His mind is racing to catch up with his hands that gently massage your breasts and you let out a soft moan.
That's the last time either of your clothes were still draped across your bodies. The interaction was quickly followed by uncalculated steps and heated kisses toward the couch where he'd laid you down and fucked you dumb.
"You feel that?" Rafe relishes in the depths of your soaked cunt that sucked in his generous length. Summoning him to a state of bliss, serving a sentence he wished would last the rest of his lifetime.
His hand is placed arrogantly on your lower abdomen where the outline of his girth could be seen pushing up against your insides. Surely, the question is rhetorical as you'd been reduced to a whimpering mess under his touch.
"My dick's splittin' you open. You fuckin' like that shit?" His hips snap, and you squeal, your whole body jolting with every moment of his much bigger one. The sight of you beneath him was more than enough to get him riding along the edge of ecstasy.
"You got the best fuckin' pussy on the island, goddamnit." His lower lip is tucked between hiss teeth, doing his best to hold himself back.
Rafe wouldn't deny any allegations of previously imagining having you in this very position, but the reality puts the products of his imagination to great shame. "R-rafe!" You moan, unbelievably turned on by your 'sworn enemy'.
"Yeah-- shit. Me too." It's not long before his thrusts begin to falter with strained grunts but added force, and he cums not long after you do. He slowly pulls out, admiring the stringy white cum that kept you connected before he realizes what he's done.
"Rafe..." You slowly sit up, dreading the consequences of his actions. "Fuck--I know, shit. I jus' got so caught up- and your pussy jus' felt so good. I wasn't thinking straight." You're both scavenging to get your clothes on as he rambles on.
He reaches into his back pocket and grabs a wad of cash, "Go get a plan B, and we can both act like this never happened, okay?" With a cold gaze, you pocket the money before rushing outside where the Twinkie is waiting for you around the corner out of sight.
"Y/n! Oh my god what took you so long? We thought Rafe had done something to you." Sarah gasps once you finally pull open the doors of the van. Your head shakes, "Nothing. Just Rafe being Rafe, let's go."

drew and costar!reader take the glamour friendship test
masterlist
based on this ask :)
Y/n and Drew walked out onto the bright, white set, their outfits coordinating shades of purple as they prepared for another interview ahead of the release of their film, âBe My Mistakeâ.
Exercise 1: First Impressions
âScary⊠very scary.â Y/n said, looking over at Drew to gauge his reaction. He furrowed his brow, looking between her and the camera before they both descended into giggles. Y/n leaned into Drew as she laughed, Drew catching her and pushing her back up.
âWe were told we needed to take this seriously and this is the [bleep] you pull.â Drew chuckled, shaking his head, a grin on his face.
âOk, ok, seriously,â y/n said, âI was a bit intimidated, but that was mainly because he was so business-y and⊠I mean Drewâs a pretty big and tall guy so thereâs that. But once we got to talking, and he really got out of his shell, I was amazed by how intelligent and funny he was.â
ââIntelligent and funnyâ. Wow.â Drew teased, elbowing y/n lightly. âWell, I knew of you before we met and was impressed with your talent and beauty on screen. However, once we met, I was thrilled to find a wonderful personality that accompanied all that.â
âWe quickly found out that weâre just about the same person, so that was a pleasant surprise.â Y/n nodded, wrapping an arm around Drew and squeezing his arm lightly.
Exercise 2: Give Your Friend a Compliment
âI feel like we already did that,â Drew laughed, âbut I can definitely find a couple more things to say.â
ïżœïżœïżœI mean I guess I already said this, but Drew is really such an intelligent person,â Y/n gazed at Drew, âlike not just book smart, but relationship, emotional smart. Heâs very much in touch with all of that and is a very good gauge-r for peopleâs feelings.â
âY/n is actually the funniest person I know and thatâs not me being dramatic.â Drew grinned. âI donât think Iâve ever laughed as much with anyone else⊠definitely not to the point of nearly getting kicked out of a restaurant.â
Y/n laughed at the memory. The two of them had gone out for a nice dinner following wrapping on âBe My Mistakeâ, dressing up and sharing a couple drinks. However, their usual banter resulted in them laughing quite loudly for the duration of the meal. Shortly after their main courses had arrived, a waiter had come over telling them about how some guests were complaining about the two of them being disruptive, which only made them laugh louder. By some grace of god, however, they didnât get asked to leave.
âItâs not my fault Iâm hilarious.â Y/n said with a simple shrug, causing Drew to laugh.
Exercise 3: Fishbowl of Memories
âOooh.â Drew said as y/n took the large fishbowl from one of the PAs. Inside, various scraps of paper filled the bowl, each with a question.
âIâll let you have the honor of going first.â Y/n smiled, offering the bowl out to Drew. He dug inside, grabbing a slip of paper as y/n sat the bowl down on the table in front of them.
âWhat was the funniest blooper in this film?â Drew read before glancing over at y/n, a smirk on his face. Y/n gave him the same look back, the two of them thinking of the same moment.
âThere was an⊠unfortunate incident in which I accidentally pantsed Drew.â Y/n said, trying her best to stifle her laughter. Drew nodded his head, a warm pink spreading across his cheeks.
âYou might be thinking, how do you accidentally pants someone?â Drew teased, y/n folding her hands on the table in front of her dramatically.
âWe were filming a scene where our characters were arguing and Drew turned to walk away, and I went to follow after him,â y/n explained. âHowever, I tripped over a rug and fell. I tried to catch myself on Drew, I was sort of grabbing at him, but only ended up getting his pants before I fell⊠the pants coming with unfortunately.â
âI really hope that thatâs not on the blooper real.â Drew shook his head, rubbing a hand along his jaw.
âOh, Iâm sure the ladies would love to see Starkey in his tighty-whities. A real treat.â Y/n teased. Drew cringed, shoving at y/nâs shoulder before gesturing for her to pick a piece of paper from the bowl.
âWhat is your favorite memory with each other?â Y/n read, looking over at Drew as the two of them thought. They stared at each other in silence, both of their brows furrowing as they shuffled through an abundance of memories.
âI think I have mine.â Drew said, snapping his fingers before turning towards the camera.
âOk, ok. Me too. Letâs see if we agree.â Y/n nodded, still facing Drew as she waited for him to speak.
âMine is when we went to get tattoos and y/n passed out and I had to carry her out to the car because she was being so dramatic.â Drew laughed, his laughter growing even louder as y/nâs jaw dropped. She hit his arm lightly, groaning at the memory.Â
âI wasnât being dramatic Iâ ok, maybe I was but I was probably still hungover from the night before.â Y/n chuckled.
âYour turn.â Drew said, leaning to rest his elbows on the table and his chin in his palms in faux overinterest.
âMy favorite memory is when we sang Wicked at some karaoke bar and it was so bad that people started booing us.â Y/n laughed. They had gone out with the rest of the cast to a karaoke bar down the street from where they had been shooting. Later in the night, after a couple of drinks, Drew and y/n decided it would be a good idea to sing âDefying Gravityâ. Neither of them being singers, nor anywhere talented enough for the numerous high notes, the regular patrons of the bar began booing and cringing at their attempt at the notoriously difficult to sing song.
ââPlease for the love of god stopâ.â Drew recited one of the patronsâ comments, causing y/n to throw her head back laughing.
âWow, jeez. That was a deep cut.â Y/n straightened herself back up, smoothing out the front of her dress. Drew threw an arm over her shoulders, bringing her to his side.
âI think we passed. I think weâre friends, right?â Drew shook y/n playfully, who just let out a sarcastic groan.
âYeah, I guess so.â Y/n gave in, wrapping her arm around Drewâs torso and hugging him lightly.
âThank you for watching!â Drew said with a wave, y/n joining in and waving excitedly. The two of them jumped up and down, their waves growing more intense, until they both fell into each other and collapsed into laughter that continued even after the cameras cut.

Pizza-for-Breakfast Sunday is a sacred tradition in your house that had started as a joke and quickly become a favorite.
Luke stood barefoot, sweatpants, carefully sliding slices of breakfast pizza onto plates. You were leaning against the counter, still in your comfy pjs, watching Luke multitask with an ease.
And at the island sat Lucy, your brilliant, soft-hearted daughter, wearing a bunny robe and holding her ever-present stuffed rabbit under one arm.
She had that look. The one that meant she wasnât just here for pizza.
Luke noticed it too.
âSheâs loaded up,â he whispered to you, smirking as he brought over the plates.
âI can see the questions forming.â
âSheâs been rehearsing in the mirror again, hasnât she?â
âOh, 100 percent.â
Lucy cleared her throat dramatically.
âSnoopy. Mommy. I have a few questions.â
There it is.
âGo on, baby,â you said as you took your first bite.
She tilted her head. âMommy, what was Nana like when you first met her?â
You smiled softly, leaning back in your chair.
âShe was so warm. Nana hugged me like she already knew me. She smiled and said, âFinally! I get to meet the girl who turned my son into a walking love song.ââ
Luke groaned. âIt wasnât that bad.â
âIt was sweet,â you said.
âNana asked Mommy questions about my family, work, and then she pulled me aside and said, âYouâre very special. Donât let him get away with too much.ââ
Lucy giggled. âThat sounds like Nana.â
Luke chuckled. âIt is Nana.â
Then Lucy leaned forward, serious as a judge.
âMommy⊠did you pick Snoopy from a line of daddies?â
You blinked. âA line of daddies?â
âLike, they were all standing in a row, and you walked past each of them like, âHmm, nope. Hmm, nope. Oooh, this one! This one looks like he gives good hugs.ââ
Luke nearly choked on his juice.
You reached over to ruffle Lucyâs hair.
âNo line of daddies, baby. I didnât pick him from a parade. I picked him from the whole world.â
âWhy?â she asked.
You looked over at Luke, âBecause he was different. Daddy didnât just make Mommy laugh, he made me feel safe. He looked at me like I was magic. He showed up for me, even when things were hard. And everytime I tried to imagine a future without him⊠it just felt wrong. He was always it for me.â
Luke reached under the table and gave your hand a gentle squeeze.
âAnd Mommy was it for me.â
Lucy sat with her chin in her hand, nodding slowly.
âOkay. That makes sense.â
Then, with zero warning, she asked, âMommy, if you hadnât married Snoopy⊠would I be someone else⊠Lucy?â
You blinked. âThatâs a big question for a six-year-old.â
âI am six and a half,â she said proudly.
You smiled. âIf I hadnât married Snoopy, there wouldnât be a Lucy at all. Not you, not the way you are now.â
âBut then where would I be?â
Luke stepped in, his voice soft.
âYouâd still be somewhere⊠maybe just waiting. But weâre really glad we found eachother when we did. Because youâre the best part of us, Luce. We couldnât have dreamed of anyone more perfect.â
Lucy looked thoughtful. Then she whispered, âGood, I like being me.â
âWe love you being you,â you said, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
She beamed. Then turned to Luke with renewed energy.
âSnoopy. Did you ask Nanna and Pappa before you married Mommy?â
âI did,â Luke said proudly.
âI asked both. Nanna squealed, and Pappa gave me a serious handshake and said, âGood choice. Donât screw it up.ââ
Lucy gasped. âPappa said âscrew it up?!ââ
You and Luke burst into laughter.
âHe was joking, I think,â Luke added quickly. âMostly.â
Lucy smiled wide. âDid you cry when Mommy walked down the aisle?â
Luke blushed. âA little.â
You raised an eyebrow. âA little?â
âOkay, a lot. I wasnât prepared. Mommy was so beautiful and smiling at me like I was the only person in the world.â
âWhat about you, Mommy?â Lucy asked. âDid you cry?â
You nodded. âOnly a tiny bit. When I saw Daddy crying first.â
Luke grinned. âI started it.â
Lucy hugged Button tighter. âThatâs so romantic.â
Then, with a dramatic pause, she delivered the next blow.
âBut⊠Snoopy⊠what if Mommy never said yes to you?â
You and Luke stay stilled for a second.
âThen Iâd still be out there,â he said gently.
âTrying again. And again. Everyday. Until Mommy saw how much I loved her. Until she said yes. Because I never wanted anyone else. Just Mommy.â
Lucy clutched her bunny to her chest. âSnoopy, youâre lucky she said yes.â
âI know I am,â Luke whispered, brushing your hand again beneath the table.
Lucy sighed dramatically.
âOkay, okay. Thatâs enough for today. I do have three more questions.â
You smiled. âOh yeah?â
âYeah. But Iâm saving them for next Pizza Sunday.â
Luke leaned in. âShould I be nervous?â
âHmm⊠Extremely.â

"genocidal apartheid ethnostate" oooh the antisemites have trained you well to regurgitate words you don't know the meaning of.
1. This can't be a genocide if the Palestinian population is increasing. Which it is. Also, if the IDF actually wanted to genocide the Palestinians they would have done it already. On top of that, there has been absolutely ZERO attempt at cultural or historical erasure of Arab populations in the Levant.
2. Cannot be apartheid as while I'm sure racism exists in Israel, everyone has the same rights. Having a border is not apartheid. Especially if the people complaining about apartheid are mad you even exist. This is a meaningless use of the word, especially as Palestinians live alongside Israelis in Israel and are overrepresented in the medical profession.
3. "ethnostate" = "how dare a country have a Jewish majority???" Almost every state in the world is an "ethnostate" by this definition. America is 80% white but nobody questions that. Of the Israeli population, 30% are not Jewish. Russia is guess what? majority Russian! but what do you hear about it? Radio silence. I don't hear you complaining about European ethnostates responsible for mass colonization and *actual* genocide, who actually tried to expunge other ethnicities (see Spain, 1500s, which is what invented the ghetto system first used on Jews and then on Black people in America) but maybe that would make your white savior selves too uncomfortable uwu. You know, I think actually treating minorities as independent people and not infantilized props for you to make yourself feel good and to assuage white guilt is almost impossible for you.
CRITICIZE NETANYAHU, SUPPORT ANTI FASCIST PROTESTS IN ISRAEL, SUPPORT THE PALESTINIAN YOUTH MOVEMENT CALLED WE WANT TO LIVE, TRY AND SEE THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU INSERTING YOURSELF TO MAKE YOUR POOR WIDDLE WHITE FEELINGS BETTER. YOU HAVE MADE JEWS THE EVIL WHITE PEOPLE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIX YOUR MISTAKES AND INSTEAD CAN ATTACK US.
