The Sickness is an honored guest in Castle Xyntillian, but a new one. After adventurers in Taldor entered the Harrowed Realm, and slew the tyrant Zassrion, the borders between the Harrowed Realm and the Material Plane became slightly more porous for a short period. Although most of the storykin were happy to remain in the Realm (or were freshly dead, and weren't rebuilt in time to escape), The Sickness escaped into Taldor in order to spread ruin and plague. She emerged near Castle Xyntillian, and found the malevolent Malevols, and their guest of honor Debbie the Twice-Born, to be much to her liking.

To modify a transi's statistics to better represent The Sickness, reduce the damage that her death's dart ability deals to 2d8+10 (DC 22 Will save for half), but it also inflicts one disease of her choice on a failed save (as per the contagion spell). She is usually accompanied by her children, a gang of spectres. In order to advance The Sickness, give her levels in ranger (with favored enemy humans, the thrown weapon combat style and the companion's hunter's bond) or levels in cleric (worshiping Apollyon, Urgathoa, or another neutral evil power of disease).

Transi CR 11 NE Undead This skeletal humanoid is little more than decomposing skin stretched over bones. It carries itself with a regal air and holds a sheaf of oversized darts in its thin hands.

A transi, sometimes referred to as a memento mori, is an undead creature that exists to torment and mock the living, reminding them of the omnipresence of death. They are attracted to mortal suffering as a vulture is to a fresh corpse, and come to lands already tormented by warfare, disease or famine in order to make things worse for the survivors. Due to their fondness for suffering and death, they get along well with outsiders such as divs and daemons, and frequently work with these monsters.

In combat, a transi focuses on the strongest opponent first, as it takes joy from humbling the proud and laying low the mighty. Their javelins are infused with potent negative energy and they are capable of stealing the life of their enemies to add to their own power. Even those that escape an encounter with a transi alive are not finished suffering, as its claws spread plague. Many transis fight from the backs of monstrous steeds such as nightmares, hellcats or other beasts—those that do not have the service or allegiance of one of these monsters rely on a magically conjured phantom steed to add to their mobility.

i KNOW i’m probably not the first person to make this connection BUT idc i just thought of it.

SO there’s going to be 7 chapters for deltarune, right? and there have been secret bosses for BOTH, with spamton having the yellow soul gimmick. there’s SEVEN souls in undertale. each chapter is probably going to have a mini boss with a different soul gimmick. jevil didn’t have one because his was just the red soul.

the human souls all died in a certain order (from memory im pretty sure it’s cyan, orange, blue, purple, green, yellow, and then red is last because that’s us/frisk) and deltarune seems to be going BACKWARDS. the third chapter will probably have the secret boss use the green soul gimmick, which was undynes shield and arrow thing. which is very interesting actually…with toriel having called the police at the end of the second chapter, undyne DOES have a likelihood of showing up in the dark world…unless napstablook shows up instead (a very funny twist lol).

ANYWAY. that’s all i got. i just had this click in my head.

“Oh uh, sorry. If I’m intruding and all that.” The words that come out felt silly to say in retrospect. Intruding? This was a spooky cave system! There’s no way this belonged to them. Well, she didn’t want to assume but… Cheeks flush a light blue as she feels embarrassed now. Ugh! Why couldn’t she just speak normally sometimes? She had been so caught off guard by the other’s voice.

“I was just…exploring. I wanted to see what was inside the cave! There’s another entrance back this way.”

Although briefly with the way the paranormal investigator had looked the young teen down with a squinty stare of suspicion, the clear display of her curiosity practically bubbling to the surface; silently threatening to question the other more on how they possibly managed to get into this underwater cave first before she did.  Vivi had gotten a call from a while back, sent from an unknown source where people had been catching sights of sirens popping in and out the nearby beach that sat beside the sea cave’s gaping jaws, where she could only go and check it out solo for her own journal research.  But it would appear already word had gotten out online, making this cave an interesting hangout spot for any fruitful teens wanting to get away from their concerning parents, given she had passed by a broken boombox and crushed soda cans that had been left abandoned outside on the sand near the cracked cave entrance.

Yet her suspicious gaze quickly melts away to light up with a flicker of peaked interest.  When was it everyday she'd run into another explorer, who no less probably might’ve been a local who could give her a bit more insight into this mysterious cave system?  Her research online only led to some limited dead ends with weak rumors dealing with some siren war uprooting treasure from the dark deep.  So maybe if she’s lucky, talking to some of this town’s denizens could help her see if she could get some more information out of them.  Vivi could only hope she didn’t frighten the poor lass too much since she did sneak in quietly incidentally.

While it was clear as day Vivi accidentally spooked the other, the empathic light brushes of the teen’s unease pricking her skin felt like a reflective shock to her system.  Not good for trying to salvage a good first impression either.  She should probably tone herself down a bit if she was going to keep them from running for startling them too.

“Ah, nah, this one is my bad!”  She almost couldn’t restrain the little retraction of her shoulders tensing up in reflection.  “I didn’t think I’d find anyone else in here, much else empty either.”  Water gently splashes against the dame’s heels as she slowly steps down onto the wet floor near the giant pool of salt water that sat in the middle of the small crooked cave.  “There’s been rumors going around here that there were… some siren sightings going about this area?”

I think at the end of the show during what I like to call Eiffel’s last meal. Eiffel and Lovelace I think they break into Cutter’s ship??? (Could have been the ship offered to them) and just devouring all his like Gordon Ramsay top shelf food. 

I hope Eiffel told Lovelace about the letters he found from her crew mate. I think he would have remembered the name from the hole box 953 BY THE MOTHER FUCKING WAY THATS 359 BACKWARDS JUST FOUND THAT OUT WHILE WRITING THIS WTFFF!!!!!! But I think he would have recognize the name because that was so traumatic for him and if she brought up the name (if she ever did, she was rightfully pretty closed off about talking about her past crew) I hope he would have told her about them it was alway on the back of my mind.

ORRR maybe he forgot because yk Eiffel and his pee wee rat brain, and she found it out when Doug was listening throw Eiffel’s early logs. 🤔🤔🤔
