so...i got some more giftless grandkids thoughts here, written in bullet points because my brain just kept going AHAHHAHA

I’m currently listening to the vocal mashup of the grandkids of waiting on a miracle while im going through the giftless grandkids tag as im taking a break from other aus, it’s very fun and sets the mood somehow AHHAHHA

I’m really glad they have each other and are thriving even without their gifts, and they likely already got used to not having gifts and wouldn’t care, and that’s so real of them

The mashup is making me think of some things tho, ngl AHHAHAH

But anyway, yes, I currently have many thoughts

Was thinking about the reasons for why Casita would crack and fall, considering the kids are close with each other here and the adults (minus Alma oof) are all there supporting them, Bruno included since he never went to the walls

And as I read some of your posts and think about it more, it makes sense

There are several main things that would make Casita crack here—aka the family themselves cracking—would be:

Ofc, there’s still Alma’s pressure on the triplets and her confusion and unintentional hurt towards the grandkids

Most likely how Julieta is hiding the big secret on why they didn’t get their gifts and also their doorknobs

Another is how Pepa and Bruno are also hiding the vision tablet from everyone but specifically Julieta

Still trying to think of other reasons, but those are the main ones, I think

In canon, Bruno had been patching up the cracks, which definitely helped Casita stay up longer, but he never went to the walls here, so how would Casita and the family last until a little after Antonio’s ceremony (assuming we’re still going with something similar to canon timeline)?

Here is where the kids’ good relationships come in, their love and care are helping hold things together, even without Bruno repairing the cracks

The process of Casita cracking would be slower here compared to canon

So what happens when the kids—the main reasons for Casita still being able stand—are faced with the revelation that they could have gotten their gifts back then? Could have possibly avoided a lot of heartache and ridicule and disappointment from the people around them? And the reason they didn’t are because of the adults? Because of Julieta?

They hyperfocus on the bad parts, overshadowing the good parts because its an intense and shocking moment and revelation for them, I think

In the moment of the revelation, that’s likely going to upset them, maybe even break them a little, because why? Why did they—? 

Of course, they’ll later have the full realization that they grew up happier without the gifts, but again, that’s later

Also, pretty sure they focus more on the fact that it seemed like the adults they trusted lied and deceived them in a sense, almost like a betrayal (except ofc its not)

This, too, would connect to how Julieta says in that one giftless grandkids art of yours, “I didn’t want to hurt them—to hurt anyone.”

And then, with the love faltering for a moment, that’s how Casita falls apart

Also, why am I imagining the kids finding the vision tablet that Pepa and Bruno are likely hiding, making them realize what Julieta is hiding, which then starts the realizations, arguments, and full-on cracking of Casita?

This would then parallel canon with Bruno’s vision too

This means we get to see all the kids trying to figure things out together too

After everything, I can really see Julieta and the rest of the adults gifting the kids their doorknobs again as a surprise—which they will later use to get their gifts too AHAHHAHA YEAHHH

ANYWAY. Y'all might not now, but Mic here as been helping me in world building for this au 🤭🤭 its gonna be one of the next fics I do, since Mamabel and Werewolf are finished (will be updating today after I finish Mama Isa. And if my wifi will let me <\\\3)

ANYWAY THESE IDEAS?? ARE SO RAD...Triplets being in the spotlight because the grandkids have no gifts, its so sad. But honestly, Alma is just pushing them because she needs to prove that the miracle is ok. Implying that the kids did something. Subtle, but whatever.

Also, the kids are like Mirabel in canon, constantly trying to prove themselves and helping out around town. Meanwhile there's a certain group of villagera who don't even like them. Not all the villagers, but definitely a good chunk. There may or may not be a rather crude mural somewhere in town out of the way. But there :(

But anyway. The kids do have hobbies relating to their gifts! The husbands, feeling guilty, gave the kids presents, gifts to give them something to do since Alma couldn't "assign" them anything (which they were grateful for).

Isabela got some gardening gloves and tools, and is really into gardening and farming, and is always tending to her garden or helping out with the farmers in town. She also tends to all the plants in Casita. Dolores loves to play music, and after Félix gave her first guitar, she was hooked. She has tons of instruments, and actually taught Mirabel to play the accordion; she helps with entertainment, like Camilo. Agustín got Luisa some dumb bells, she actually asked for them. She wanted to strong and still help out, and regulating exercises and mostly helps out with packing and loading or at the quarry.

Camilo was give some costumes and puppies, and he's been into performances and theater since. He also performs for the kids, and plays alongside Dolores often. Mirabel was given new sewing stuff. Instead of Alma teaching her most of what she knew, Agustín helped her, since he knew some, and she kept the fashion and crafts hobby up. She helps repair things around town, and does the occasional clothing repair. Antonio still is finding his hobby, but the grandkids know he really loves animals. They actually suggested Félix get him a pet. So what does he get him? A parrot. Antonio loves that parrot like no other, and he's always around him, trailing behind Luisa.

DESIGNS 🌚🙏🙏 I'll post the family tree later, and maybe draw the triplets because their designs changed but me and Mic are still working in them. But the kids❗❗ Their clothes are very plain and dull, because the seamstress refused to make their clothes any fun. Even Mirabel can only embroider so much, and she rarely has time to do so cause she's so busy helping. But there's some subtle designs <33

Julieta really did and does mean well in this au, but drastic actions really do cause drastic results in some cases. Her pull those doorknobs was definitely drastic. While the kids are happier and aren't nearly as pressured, they feel inadequate, and like something is missing :(( And then there's vision tablet (that's like over 40 years old 💀), but that's a whole other can of worms.

Sophi honey, I am so sorry about the upcoming infodumping...... This is probably not quite what you asked at all, but alas. The art graduate jumped out. I don't have many sexy naked ladies riding Death for you, so here's a very brief overlook of Death and The Maiden depictions in art instead?

For those who are wondering, this is referring to this beautiful piece by @apolloniasaintclairofficial, tasteful drawing of a naked woman sitting on Death's lap, while he holds a dagger. Beautiful and erotic.

I mentioned in the tags how much I loved seeing depictions of Death and women in art. Now, in art history, this is a recurring motif dubbed Death and The Maiden, often with erotic and sacrilegious undertones, and particularly prevalent amongst German artists. I did a quick google research on the origins of it, and according to the internet, was a common theme since the Middle ages, originating from the Danse Macabre allegories, with a significant revival in the Romantic Period. The allegorical motif of ‘Death and the Maiden’ (a young girl, often in a passionate embrace with a skeletal figure) had been popular with German artists and musicians since the Middle Ages, and its reminder of transience and mortality was especially appropriate during this period of foreboding (referring to WWI). I read them both while researching this, super informative without being overtly verbose. Great selection of art pieces.

Death and the woman, by E. Munch

I'm very fond of this drawing by Munch (huge fan of his lol). Every time I see Death and Women embracing each other so tenderly, my heart breaks for a second. There's just something that is equal parts sensual and tender, something that transcends the inherent sexual appeal of erotic art, something poetic and poignant. Oof.

Here are some selected pieces by K. Kollwitz - X X, and this beautiful piece by E. Schiele (a student of Klimt, you can see the similarities in style).

Also, the revival during the Romantic period was in great part due to Schubert's Der Tod und das Mädchen (Death and the maiden), a lied he wrote based on this beautiful poem by Matthias Claudius, which would later be used in his piece String Quartet No. 14, also known and Death and the maiden. The poem:

The Maiden: Pass me by! Oh, pass me by! Go, fierce man of bones! I am still young! Go, dear, And do not touch me. And do not touch me. Death: Give me your hand, you beautiful and tender form! Also! I found this super interesting book (it's a free english pdf) called Erotism - Death and Sensuality (og. L'Erotisme) by Georges Bataille, which explores in depth the relationship between erotica, death, taboo, sacrifice, Christianity, and many other themes. I haven't read it but this does look incredibly interesting so. I know what I'll be reading next.

I could go on and on and on about WHY I am so fascinated by these themes, but that would result in yet another big-ass post, and I think this is enough info for one day lol.

(before I forget, I just want to point out that this directly overlaps with depictions of Hades and Persephone, seeing as Hades was often times associated with Death itself - even though Thanatos is the one who embodies the Reaper figure in the Greek myths. So I'm sure you'll find some other tasteful pieces if you go down that route).

HiJack, or ROTBTD: it all started when i watched Hot To Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians during the same summer. i somehow ended up googling the two together, and boom, i discovered HiJack (Hiccup/Jack Frost). Hi, does the "hijacked" in my url make sense now? anyways i started writing for them and, by extension, the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom for a while. had a couple HP AUs for them as well, so thats why that series is dinged in my ao3 history as well lol theres some fics for them that didnt come with me from my travels from fanfic.net to ao3, so theres more out there LOL! (38 fics on ff.net, some crossposted to ao3. so its safe to assume ive written close to 100 fics. OOF)

AbeMiha, Big Windup: this was before i had tumblr. one of my favorite artists for HiJack, someone ive long since lost track of, posted their fanart on tumblr, and i noticed while diving through their art tag this show called "Oofuri" or, Big Windup. turns out, it was a baseball anime, and was the first anime i ever seriously watched! AbeMiha was my main there, and i wrote a few things for them too!

KageHina and KyouHaba, Haikyuu: one sports anime led to another. theyre like crack, okay? anyways of course i shipped kagehina, wrote a couple things there, but really tripped and fell for kyouhaba, a semi-rarepair who really took off. i stayed there for a bit! had a lot of fun!

Klance, Voltron: i ran into the loving arms of this one too. forced my little brothers to watch the show as well. it was a great time. i think i also submitted some fanfics to a short story class i was in at the time? it was wild

BakuDeku, BNHA: how could i not have started with this one? theyre amazing and perfect to me.

1. Are you named after anyone?

I keep saying if I do anything noteworthy enough in my life to deserve a wikipedia page, someone has to add me to List of things named after Bernhard Riemann - Wikipedia, so... yes.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday night, and also, longer ago than I remember. Are the tears mine if the sadness isn't? It be like that sometimes.

3. Do you have kids?

No, and thank the powers that be (mostly contraception) for that!

4. What sports do you play/have played?

No real sports, unless highschool PE counts. I was a fervent and pretty skilled skier for a while but my partner is afraid of skiing and its too expensive to go on my own, so it's been years since I did it.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

Not as much as you'd think. I'm a painfully sincere person much of the time.

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

I hate to be *that* person, but... their vibe. Fake car salesperson smiles, awkward "haha we will ignore that!" silences, confrontational high-schooler convo style... Some people just have fucky energy, idk what else to say. That said, my actual opinion of people takes a while to form -it's like a committee vote more or less.

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings all the way. I can watch unhappy endings if the movie is aesthetic(TM) or it's more about the art or history of the film than the narrative, but if I'm immersing myself in a story-story, the person(s) the narrative makes me root for better fucking make it to a happy end.

I'm very selective about scary movies: they need to be aesthetic, and satisfying.

9. Any talents?

... not... really? I kinda struggle with linking my qualities to "talents". I don't have many (if any) things I'm just "naturally good" at; even skill sets I'm now proud of were not something I ever had a natural aptitude for, and if I developed a skill it was 99% of the time out of necessity rather than enjoyment.

I guess I have... shockingly broad bandwidth for other people's issues. Like... interpersonal exhaustion? I don't know her, man. Mostly due to a combination of voyeuristic enjoyment of knowing and understanding things about others, my sense of empathy being almost entirely generated through fine-grained psych analysis rather than instinct, and the *very* odd given that my own personality temporarily stabilizes when exposed to interpersonal input. I'm not sure that's a talent so much as a condition, though xD

At the moment, mostly writing Tron fanfiction. I also draw (sometimes), paint and kitbash Warhammer 40k minis (been a while), do metalwork (I need a new welding helm T_T), do gothic and fetish modelling, thrift and collect things for my house, etcetera. I cycle through hobbies mostly. Writing is my most stable one -I dare say I keeps me sane.

I have a cat! Her name is Meoi (Quenya for "Cat", in honour of Huan and terrible Feanorian naming traditions -retired Silmarillion fan here)

1m70 but most people assume I'm a good bit taller because I'm broad-shouldered and always in 17cm platform stilettos.

Oof. Tough one. I've been out of school for a good long while. The person I was in high-school would have picked physics, followed closely by math. Leaving the following period in the middle (lalala), at uni *in the major I actually graduated from*, my favourites were Architectural Theory, Medieval Image Culture, and Visual Analysis.

15. Dream job?

Oof again. Opinions divided on this one.

I like to say my dream job needs to meet the following criteria:

- I am competent at the job and reasonably regularly get this confirmed by others

- Every day at work I know largely what is expected of me, and what is expected fully falls within my capacity to deliver.

- I have tangible, well-described tasks and goals and never have to "be proactive about finding more work" or "try to look more productive".

- I have good coworkers I get along with, at least professionally.

- No extraneous admin tasks or timesheet micromanagement.

- GOOD PAY

If I'm really ambitious, I would add to that:

- I'm an expert (or just really, really good) at it.

But let's be honest, actual dream jobs Riemann over here has dreamed of having or pursuing? Interior designer/stylist, professional fetish performer/pro-domme, and Enterprise IT Architect.

1. Why did you choose your url? I created this handle back when I first started posting SWTOR fanfic to FF.net. Then as now, SWTOR was the fandom I was most into at the time. And since I was a beginner at the fanfic game, I went with "padawan". It kinda worked, so I kept it on AO3 and later Tumblr.

2. Any sideblogs? I actually made a couple of sideblogs - one for non-SWTOR Star Wars, one for Critical Role. I haven't kept up either of them, though.

3. How long have you been on tumblr? *Checks Archive* July of 2018. Feels like a while, but I know many of you have been here much longer.

4. Why did you originally start your blog? Some of my readers on AO3 said there was a thriving SWTOR community on Tumblr, and that I should start posting my stuff there. I'm grateful for the referral.

5. Why did you choose your icon? I've had a few icons. Corellan Halcyon has always been my primary OC, and I am extremely grateful to @kitblueburdart​ for this art!

6. Why did you choose your header? Ozibaumnu and Nas'ash'dia are two of my favorite OCs, and are pretty popular with my humble readership. I had the idea of this piece for some time and I am very grateful to @theoasiswinds​ for turning my idea into reality!

7. What is your post with the most notes? Most of my highest-related posts are just shared from other platforms, so I don't really count those. As for my "original" post, my "Parents of Corellia - Please do not take your children to the zoo in the middle of a war zone" post is number one. Most people miss that bit of ambiant dialogue, and the events since then have made it even more powerful. 8. How many mutuals do you have? I never counted.

Q. What do you use to draw and animate?

A. I draw and animate with paint tool SAI v.1! The program isn’t meant for animation. I just draw all the frames in paint tool sai and then run them through a gif compiler to make them move. 

Q. Can I use your art for headers, icons and emotes?

A. As long as you credit me in some way, you can definitely use my animations and art as icons, header for your blog, and discord emoji. 

Q. Can I repost your art on other sites?

A. Sure, as long as it isn’t tumblr or twitter, since I’m active in those places already and reposted art will be reported. However, if you want to post it on your Instagram, Pinterest, or what have you, feel free as long as my signature is visible and I’m linked somewhere !

Fanfiction FAQ

Q. Can I use your fics for my fanfiction readings? (ex. Youtube)

A. Ask me! Most fics I probably won’t mind as long as I am credited and a link to the fic is posted in the description. However, there may be a select few I would rather not, so drop me a line and we can talk about it!

Q. Do you write for any other fandoms/characters?

A. Nope! I’m only interested in Hawks from BNHA, so that’s all I write! Hah. Eventually one day I may become interested enough in another character to write something for them, but also probably not ;u; 

Q. Do you write “dark” content, like Yandere or non!con?

A. Generally speaking, no. If I ever got a really good idea I can’t shake down the road, the “Yandere” dynamic may be a lightly used possibility. To the point it probably wouldn’t even be yandere tbh tho hah. Non!con will never appear in my fics, though. Anything generally abhorrent you can be sure I won’t write about. HOWEVER, I do occasionally reblog fics others may find triggering. Always read the warnings authors leave before taking peeks!

Q. I don't like that you often describe things about the reader in your fics. Such as cheeks going red, pink nipples, or their gender.

A. All of my fanfictions are written about myself with me in mind. I try to stray away from outright describing reader by physical traits, since i want everyone to feel included! But at the end of the day I am one person with a world view limited to my own experiances. There will be times its obvious I have fair skin/certain type of hair/particular body features in my writing. I try to be as vague as possible, but please keep in mind the author here is a fair skinned cis female, and I write as a form of escapism with myself in mind first.

Q. You haven’t posted anything in a while! Are you still writing?

A. Yes! I like to take my sweet sweet time with my fanfictions, and im never rushing or in a hurry to update. Sometimes I work on a piece and decide to keep it for myself and not share at all, if its too personal or special to me. I love writing a lot, and if i havent updated in a while be sure to know I havent stopped. Im just enjoying the process of creating without worrying about any deadlines, and that can take weeks to a few months.

Q. There was something in one of your fics I think there should have been a warning for!

A. Tell me !! I try to add warnings for anything that I can think could be upsetting to readers, but if you have a suggestion for me to add more warnings in the future, feel free to send me a message. I would appreciate it ;u;

I always try to respond to every comment I get, but often times when it’s just one word or a heart emoji I don’t really know what to say, so I might not reply to those. I do appreciate every comment I get, and read every single one, even if I don’t respond

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? 

I don’t do angst endings typically, but Family Secrets is probs the most obvious choice, given what happens at the end. 

- and its not even the real end, because I couldn’t help myself and made two more stories for the AU that was like “hey! this character I made you all love so much actually DIDN’T die, he just had unfinished business back home” lmao

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you've ever written? 

Rarely, typically they’re between my own fics (the story that crosses the paths of Crossroads and Family Secrets AU’s, literally titled Crossover, creative name I know OTL I was out of ideas)

Both stories are basically a two part series that is non canon to actual Crossroads. The first story is finished, second one has two chapters left...that...I uh...struggle to write it seems OTL

Have you ever received hate on a fic? 

Not really no? I can only remember one time with somebody kind of demanding me to completely rewrite one fic in the past. It wasn’t really hate, more just...kinda unreasonable in my eyes? This was years ago by now.

While I did understand their side and the particular struggle they had (once they actually explained it, the first comment at the time came off pretty rude and demanding), I still feel them wanting me to re-write an entire multi-chapter fic just for them is a bit unreasonable, like said.

Like it wasn’t just couple of grammatical errors that was their issue, we’re talking weeks and even months long process of completely reworking multi-chapter story, because the grammar wasn’t tip top perfect. (I’m not a native speaker so there’s bound to be some mistakes; pointing out small occasional things is one thing - asking me to rewrite an entire multi-chapter story is another)

You can imagine that is not exactly high on my priorities list with IRL responsibilities and being more focused on the actual content of what I write, the ongoing stories I’m updating. This fic isn’t even finished yet either, so...yeah. Like after they explained their side of the story I was a bit more understanding, but its still....a bit ridiculous and unreasonable in my eyes to ask somebody to do such a massive overhaul when the story isn’t even finished yet?? Like maybe once its done and I have time I can go and edit it, but not when I haven’t even finished it lmao

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Nah. I don’t care about smut a whole lot personally. I much more enjoy writing emotional scenes, character interactions and mystery. Plot over porn basically lmao 

Have you ever had a fic stolen? 

I don’t...do people actually do this? It feels like such a weird and pointless thing to do. It’s fanfic. stuff you write for fun and for free, for people to read for free. I’d also imagine its pretty easy to get caught given AO3 shows when you first posted your story. 

Have you ever had a fic translated?

 Yes, a couple of times. In Russian and I think other one was Chinese?

Have you ever co-written a fic before? 

Writing the crossovers was kinda that? Like I asked feedback from Tea and Leon on how to write them. there was also actually third crossover story that was supposed to happen (only I wasn’t going to be the one to write it) but this project has been shelved as the other person had to drop majority of online activity due to some IRL health related things. (I’m just glad they recently contacted me to inform they were doing better)

What’s your all time favorite ship? 

Right now it’s..probably pretty obvious its Shigadabi, but I can never really say any ship is my all time fave, as it always changes depending on the fandom lmao. 

I guess my favorite character x proper sleep/emotional stability/happiness will always be the OTP

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Oof. I always try to finish every single one, and if I absolutely know I won’t, I tend to just delete them. Thankfully I’ve only done it thrice. Which I guess is still a lot, but compared to how much I write, in context not really? 

What are your writing strengths?

From what I’ve gathered of feedback, its typically emotional moments/character dialogue and interaction/character arcs and so. Mystery plots too. Or maybe that last one is just me lmao

What are your writing weakness?

Personally, while I tend to get positive feedback on both, sometimes I feel like I struggle to choose a good pacing for a fic, and fight scenes are always a pain. Namely, I might struggle with making the pace too long-winded and slow sometimes. Ironically, my IRL update pacing is probs a bit too fast in turn. (To add another layer of irony, I got an update ready for Unravel that I’ll post after making this tag)

Also writing shorter stories. I’ve been trying to write one-shots more (like the Spinaraki series thing) to kinda try and get myself to pack up my stories better and not let them always spiral out of control haha

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I did try to do that once with a fic I deleted, I had a native speaker help me with the canadian french bits. This person is no longer active on tumblr, and I deleted that fic because I realized I’d never finish it. 

Technically tho, as a non-native English speaker, EVERY word is in other language to me lmao. I could only add Finnish as an extra one easily, and it rarely makes sense to do so anyway.

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for? 

MCU. It’s what I originally made my AO3 for, as I felt brave enough to post things. I also can’t remember writing fandom related stuff before that, it was typically more oc related. Writing fics has helped me learn a lot about world-building, character consistency and all that stuff, without having to make everything from scratch (tho I do enjoy doing that as well of course). I feel like my original work writing has improved too thanks to my fic writing shenanigans in a way lmao. Tho that might just be me, IDK

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? 

Oooof. This changes a lot depending on the time. I can never really pick just one either: my current favorites are Stringmaster, The neighbor and Family Secrets

Stringmaster because I love building the Steampunk AU, and Tomura’s relationship with Dabi and his Sensei, The neighbor because I personally think the romance build up in that one is probably one of the best I’ve done so far (the character dialogue in that is among my favorites I’ve written as well) and FS, because it taught me a lot about character building through writing a character like Hisashi.

 Plus I just really like Hisashi. 

And baby Izuku and little Tenko are super adorable. 

And Inko is the best mum.

 Also the fact the whole story is so ironic in a sense its still kinda funny to me. 

The only writer I know that might be around rn is @nightlilly0110 soo...I guess I’ll tag them if they want to do this! Anybody who’s a writer can snatch this too of course ;)

Now im not gonna say 'dont feel bad pls' bc I know that's not really useful but what I do think is useful is just discussing why that anon and many others feel the need to respond that way. As someone who follows a lot of writing blogs myself and have done for a long time, i've seen my handful of favourite writers come and go for different reasons, lose motivation for a while, gain motivation for a while, go from multi to single fandom, or single fandom to multi. Often times as a reader it can be upsetting when things change but it's also important as a reader to understand that some things aren't in anyone's control, I can't control what my favourite writers become a fan of or lose interest of, I can't control things in their personal lives that may motivate or demotivate them to write, but what I can do is support them as long as they're active, and if they move on to do things i'm no longer interested in or i'm the one that changed interests, rather than being upset that they're evolving to do other things or that they're not evolving with me, I think it's important that I still feel thankful for the works that I enjoyed while we were still on the same page and this is how I personally deal with those negative feelings. I think the anons that lash out at you probably just dont know what to do with themselves, maybe they got attached to your works while you were still only a jjba blog and now that you're evolving they're upset, while I understand how they feel, they're going the completely wrong way about it. I've learned to take these things and turn them into something positive for myself or at least something bittersweet that I can move on from but the anons that lash out at you for whatever reason probably haven't learned this yet. Maybe it's because i've moved on and changed interests a lot myself that I know how these things go for both writers and readers but those anons maybe haven't experienced this as much so they dont know what to do with themselves other than complain that you've changed and throw insults at you in an attempt to get you to revert back. None of this is because of the quality of your writing like they want you to believe, it's literally just because you've evolved and while some of your old followers might not like the new content for no reason other than it not being their cup of tea, it's definitely not regressed at all. You are pumping out a lot of content right now but every single thing i've read has just been better than the last. Things that really stand out to me is how well you get characterisation down to a T and all of your dialogue is just on point and from the pov of a reader I think those things seem the hardest to get right so I am such a huge fan of your stuff at the moment and I can tell you're really putting so much thought and care into each and every fic no matter how fast you're producing it, I think the fact that you're also proud of what you're writing at the moment really shines through as well and I just adore the passion that radiates from every completed request as well as in the responses for the subsequent thirsts resulting from these works that appear in your ask box later (I know i've sent quite a few by now~)

Just to be clear i'm not defending those anons in any way, while I can understand what they might be feeling/why they're reacting in the way they are I still believe it's just so immature to be hateful online point blank. Even during a time where I still got upset with writers if they started doing something else I still never targeted that negativity directly to the writer and sending rude or hateful comments whether on anon or not never something i'd stooped low enough to do even when I still had an immature way of thinking, however, I hope that it might make it a little easier to brush them off if we try and understand what they're really upset about, and that they're just putting the blame for their negative feelings onto the wrong thing rather than coming to terms with change themselves.

hello anon!! i appreciate the long message. i do feel bad for people who have no interest in what i’m currently producing and i get that they feel upset about it; i’ve watched a lot of fellow jojo writers move on completely or just stop posting, honestly. this kind of thing is why i was so intense about asking people if it would be better if i made a separate blog but the resounding answer seemed to be ‘i’m just vibing with whatever happens and i’ll block tags as needed’. 

i often return to works by my favourite reader-insert writers who no longer write for the fandoms i like (and i read stuff bc it sounds interesting or i trust the person who writes it), but change can be difficult and i guess at this point i’ve - whether u like me or not lmao - been a fixture in jojo reader-insert tumblr for a While so it’s probably kind of jarring.

i do miss having a discord community bc it was nice to talk to everyone in real time but it was hard work, i am glad that people feel like they can just come into my askbox and gush! i’m not very friendly in real life and people tend to think i am cold and stuck up so i work very hard to try and seem friendly and approachable online, which is much easier for me because i get to think and re-draft before i type! <3

5. Who is this guy? Edit Series - this one was SUCH a fun series cause I eventually jumped on the bandwagon and asked my friend who the drivers and some team bosses were. It was so cool to get her to answer and as lame as it is, i had never edited anything so even taking that first step to make something was really cool for me!! I’m still laughing at a few of my favs. including: one of the guys in the elevator with Captain America, the “i had to do it to them” guy but pumpkin spice latte version, and Lewis!! (yes she straight up knew who Lewis was I am still so proud)

4. out there’s a land where time don’t command - HAHAAHA THIS ONE. OOF. So...i can’t explain why i love this one other than the fact that i just do.  Like...its so so simple but i saw that damn picture of seb and daniel and it looked like they should’ve been under stars so then i go oh! stars -> camping. And the idea was born. I didn’t even write it in a shippy way i just really wanted to write something with those two. I think i’m also proud of it because it was the first time for me writing seb and truthfully, i still stand by my characterization of him. Anyway its just such a soft fic and i love it so so much. It’s very near and dear to my heart and if you ever want to get to know me as a person, there are many clues in that fic with some choices of characterization or phrases or whatever.

3. but it would’ve been fun if you could’ve been the one - even though this is maxiel and i don’t write them anymore, this fic holds SUCH a deep spot in my heart because it was the first thing i ever felt confident enough to show anyone else. Like sure okay i wrote stuff for years and whatever but none of it ever felt good enough. Then, I hear “the 1″ by Taylor Swift and I just got so fixated on this idea. I spent the entire night writing and published it the next day. I got great feedback from it and just...it felt right and good. It felt like i had finally found a supportive enough community to encourage my random song fics and whatnot. So, it holds soft spot not only for getting me to write again but to actually introducing me to so many other wonderful and talented people.

2. The One Where They All Go To College - This fic is honestly so much fun to write. My good ‘ol fixation on the tv show Community inspired me to write a really fun fic about the. twitch quartet and a few others attending a college. That’s an absolute terrible summary but i love writing it and i’m proud it cause it kind of shows how far my writing has come this year. I linked to my mood board i made for it but that link also has the link to the story if anyone wants to read it!!! i. know i’m shocked its not number one, even though i’m extremely proud. of it...there’s one i’m more proud of....

1. laughing ‘til our ribs get tough but that will never be enough - there are moments that i’m still SHOCKED i wrote this. not because of the content but because of the style. and let’s be real here, Lorde wrote it as much as i did since I blasted “Ribs” the entire time i wrote this. Again it was another one of those that would not leave me alone until i wrote it and it even started out as an actual song fic! HOWEVER (a little author’s commentary here) i could not figure out some of the ways to...direct I guess. I wanted specific tones of esteban yelling or pierre chuckling and unfortunately, it wasn’t a screenplay. Back when i wrote screenplays and scripts it was so much easier to put LITERAL directions in there. So what did i do but put my passion for music and turn it into a writing style. I used musical directions to convey the feelings i was struggling with and while that isn’t a mind blowing concept, it was for me. I’m so so proud of how this one turned out and i will always be chasing the high of me figuring out that you can use musical directions in fics.

SPOKEN LANGUAGES. English / Japanese. He is fluent in both. He was raised on Japanese by his parents, but he hasn’t lived in Japan since he was 2 years old, he went to an American public school ( both elementary and high school ) and learned English there. He often translated for his parents.

HAIR COLOR.  If he didn’t shave his head he’s have black hair.

EYE COLOR.   Grey. In direct light they are very cool/light, but they can also approach black. SKIN TONE.    Light, with a yellow undertone.

BODY TYPE.  Built/athletic. He has taken care of his body from a very young age and tends to eat a healthy diet. He rarely skips his exercise routine. He cares less about his physique and more about what it can do though. His muscle is moreso functional muscle than aesthetic muscle.

ACCENT.   He speaks with a drawl. He grew up in ghetto neighbourhoods as well as while speaking a very different language as his second language. Native Japanese speaking people are also able to tell his Japanese is different, even if it isn’t heavily accented at all.

VOICE.    A very average register. Can get very raspy especially when he is yelling. His voice is frankly little-used lol he prefers to act rather than to talk a lot. DOMINANT HAND.  Ambidextrous. He started to train with two handed weapons and staff-like weapons at a young age. He does prefer his right hand though.

Unfortunately he has yet to figure out what the name of the town was.  BIRTH WEIGHT.   Average, even though his mother was worried because of their poor living situation BIRTH HEIGHT.    Average as well.

MANNER OF BIRTH.  Natural. At home. The towndoctor was there, but it was an easy birth, especially for it being a first child.

FIRST WORDS. His first words were kaasan, neko and tousan in that order. His father worked a lot and he spent more time around his mother and the cats in the garden.

PARENTS.   Deceased. They were very caring and loving parents though.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT.    Both his mother and father were very involved with his well-being. So much that after the war that somewhat derailed Japan, they decided to use all their resources to emigrate to the states. They got there with only a few family artifacts and very little money. It resulted in both his father and mother having to work very long hours as soon as he was in school and could take care of himself. They saved all their spare money to send him to school. In the end he dropped out to pursue professional sport though.

CURRENT RESIDENCE.   He lives in an apartment complex in a neighbourhood between ghetto and inner city. It is not the worst environment but also not the best. He and Yumichika practically live together, but Yumichika still has his own apartment in the same complex.

CLOSE FRIENDS.  He doesn’t have very many friends. He considers Nnoitra { @despairforme } a workfriend, and he is of course friends with his boyfriend { @narkissismos } besides them there is his gymbuddy, Renji { my own muse @monkifuraibo hah }, and thats about it.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS.  Taken. Ikkaku is with Yumichika { @narkissismos }.

FINANCIAL STATUS.   Middle-lower class. He makes enough money to survive every month and have a little left over to put away in a bank account, but he’d frankly be a big accident away from bankruptcy. 

DRIVER’S LICENSE. Doesn’t feel the need for one. Though he could probably drive fine if he put his mind to it. 

CRIMINAL RECORD.  None. He tends to err on the careful side of the law. Though there are incidents that might have gotten him an assault charge if anyone had reported it.

VICES.  He drinks whenever he feels like it, though he usually knows when to stop. Yumichika can be either a ridiculously good impulse control, or a horrible enabler.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION.  Greysexual. He doesn’t feel the urge to have sex as much, but he does it out of convention { it is what is expected of him } and because it feels good to get off. ROMANTIC ORIENTATION.   Demi-romantic as well as homo-romantic. Ikkaku knows he is only ever loved one person { yumichika }, that person was a man, ergo he is gay. He doesn’t really know the demi label, but it does apply to him. PREFERRED EMOTIONAL ROLE.    Dom/sub. He likes being in charge and control when they do have a tryst.But Yumi knows more about sex and he follows his lead a lot.

PREFERRED SEXUAL ROLE.   Dominant. Yumichika is often initiator though, and also tends to be more adventurous with it. Where ‘where people are’ is concerned, Ikkaku more often tops { almost always }. Ikkaku also goes along with a lot, but sets obvious boundaries. 

TURN ON’S.   This is a very short list. Yumichika. His mood has to be good, for example if he’s just won a big fight. But then Yumi is the only one that really gets him going.

TURN OFF’S.  High emotionality. He can’t have sex when he is very angry or upset, or even very excited about something --> his mind is busy with something entirely different. He also doesn’t like crying. 

LOVE LANGUAGE.  Ikkaku is very physical in his affection. Small gestures. Touching Yumi’s lower back in passing, forehead and temple kisses when he passes his boyfriend sitting on the couch. Pulling him into his lap, wrapping his arm around him in bed while theyre both doing their own thing. He does also tell Yumichika he appreciates him in his own way. He says what he thinks a lot. He’ll say yumichika looks beautiful when he thinks so, tells him he loves him when he feels it, that kind of thing. It is very sweet to see how it flusters Yumi still.

RELATIONSHIP TENDENCIES.  He is rather chill. He doesn’t mind going along with what Yumichika wants in a lot of cases. There are very few things they really argue about, different from a bit of bickering about little things. Ikkaku will check Yumichika when he is out of line though and functions as a bit of a voice of reason. Ikkaku is very emotionally healthy, even if he can be a bit of a closed book, there is no lock on him. Whenever Yumichika wants to know something he only need ask and Ikkaku will share with him. He has the tendency to be a bit jealous when people flirts with Yumi { he is very beautiful, it can’t be helped }, but overall their relationship is very healthy.

HOBBIES TO PASS TIME.   He writes, and reads, and practices old martial arts. He also likes watching action movies and documentaries. 

MENTAL ILLNESSES.   None. He is surprisingly healthy.

PHYSICAL ILLNESSES.  Not an illness, but an injury. When he was younger (19 or so) and he had started his professional martial arts career, someone used an illegal move on him, and his shoulder was dislocated. It is still a weak joint now and it bothers him when he overworks it, or the weather is bad. He has a brace for it. 

FEARS.  None. He is very chill and takes things in its stride. Even death is something he doesn’t really consider yet. If there is something that might count it is that he is worried something might happen to Yumichika because he is very obviously gay-coded, and people are homophobic.

SELF CONFIDENCE LEVEL.   High. He is very comfortable with who he is and with his abilities.

VULNERABILITIES.   Physically, his shoulder. Otherwise, he tends to take things /too/ easy, he can be a bit lazy. He can underestimate others at times and overestimate his own abilities. He also has a tendency not to know when to stop.
