I haven't given up on the story. I want this next chapter so bad. Probably even more than anyone else that's waiting for it. I'm dealing with some mental stuff (working on it - with professionals, even!), some family stuff and money stuff.

All that noise crowds out my writing, especially for bigger projects like YSLT. I'm lucky if I can get out the occasional short or text post/snippet these days. I want it so bad, but I know not to force it when things get this bad.

Good-ish news, just something to consider: I have the bulk of this next chapter's word count done ... sort of. It's technically already written, but its jumbled, incomplete and needs a LOT of connective tissue to finish it before i edit and proofread.

I don't have it in me right now, but its still on my mind, every day.

( god i almost don't want to leave the hospital because these people are sooo fucking nice. a nurse made me laugh a few minutes ago, another nurse one time comforted me when i was crying, there was one that helped me through a panic attack, there's a nice guy nurse that says hi to me everytime he sees me hes sooo friendly. the people who work here are so nice god. i wish i was around these type of people normally. i'll miss them all when i leave. )

took a page out of moon's book and started playing around with the idea of illustrated icons but i am Unsure

I dunno if it's been said before but you really do keep a tidy ship and what I mean by that is your muselist. It's SOO Clean, gorgeous, the colors are soo crisp and inviting that you appreciate and wanna write with every muse on there EVEN if you don't know who they are.

JAAAY you can't keep coming into my inbox and being nice, that's what your inbox is meant for! I've always found your graphics / pages to be incredibly inspiring; you so perfectly read characters and manage to put their backgrounds & stories in a concise and well-rounded way. Even with characters I know little about, like Yusuke, I feel like I've got a firm grasp on his character purely because of how you, personally, carry him -- both in character, and on his respective biography.

Thank you for being so sweet to me, you're always a huge part of the reason I come back to this site, alongside serving as an inspiration for me. You're always so bright, and I hope to channel that own brightness in my own way, and trail the same path you do - not only do you have a delightfully creative mind, you have a delightful mind in general. after sending a few more asks, i'm doing a lil reading, and i'm gonna check his comic background, but according to his movie fandom page!! miguel speaks japanese on top of english and spanish and i know the dude's busy as it is, but i just like the idea of him being able to speak to chiyo and yuzu in their language and maybe helping them with english a bit. chiyo's good at it, but she's learned from school and tv, so practice would be nice, and yuzu probably doesn't know much english other than the bits she retained from high school and college. i imagine there would be tech to help get around language barriers, but i know both of them would rather be able to communicate on their own.

i don't usually focus on lil details like that for the sake of not complicating threads, but!! that won't stop me from thinking about it and rambling a lil bit :' )

imo good character-establishing things to have for pcs are like

- the usual why are they on this adventure, why are they w this group, etc

- what's one personality trait that drives them to do the stupid but fun thing

- what's one aspect that might make them act in ways contrary to how they do normally (including Not doing the stupid thing if it wouldn't be fun)

that last one is beneficial for the collaborative aspect of ttrpgs: if everyone else wants to do x, & as a player u wanna cooperate but ur pc would be opposed, how can u navigate that? there's still times to dig ur heels in, but often I've found more value in establishing Why or How my character can be convinced to go along w smth anyway

also just. ppl contradict themselves sometimes, & having even a simple sense of that in ur pcs can both make rp richer & assist in collaborating w the other ppl at ur table

Well, it's been about two weeks or so now and MOST peeps on here know this but we recently adopted a husky/german shepard mix. She is my brother's dog and her name is Kiya.

She's been an utter handful and a terror, but she is so cute and I am happy my brother has another doggo. He's been wanting one for the last two to three years since his last one passed away, plus he needed this too.

So, that is pretty much the latest with me and the fam. Been busy with our good little girl and such, it's been tiring but we love her so much.
