"okay, okay. jeez, i was just trying to take a minute to say hello." ben said, moving to help his brother before hesitating almost immediately. "do you want me to just try to pick you up?" he didn't even know how five had gotten himself stuck, and just reaching over seemed like the easiest way to help, but from what ben had seen five never really liked being treated like he was young in whatever way, making him hesitate.

Viktor proceeded to give a great impression of a goldfish that'd managed to hop out of their bowl as he attempted to formulate a response. "I- I'm sorry, I don't," finally managed to come out his mouth, an apologetic look on his face. "...should I, though?" he was quick to add, now wondering if perhaps they guy had been to the bar or if perhaps they were a well-known member of the city's community. Either of those being true would mean Vik forgetting who they were was pretty gnarly misstep.
