"well that's relieving, i guess," vex did a one shoulder shrug. she was trying to stay positive but she didn't like that she was in a strange place and didn't know why. she cocked her head to the side, "what do you mean? i know plenty of people who can teleport. not here, as i've just arrived, but at home. is that not an ability here?"

"I don't think I would consider this normal, but yes, I did teleport into the city.' Adam admitted with a shrug. "From what I have gathered, humans, or well, people who live down on Earth, don't tend to teleport."

"three years?" vex didn't like the sound of that. she didn't want to be away from whitestone or her children for that long. "have you tried finding a magic user of some sort? or are you saying that there's no way to leave?"

"Yeah, I don't know how to teleport either so I get that," Kakashi admitted with a slight nod. "I don't think I have any better answers for you, because most folks don't know how we got here. I just woke up here one day, and now i have been in this city for three years."

"clearly," she looked around at all the buildings along the horizion opposite the treeline. this was the strangest place she's ever been to, that's for sure. she rose an eyebrow, "below? what do you mean? like the underdark?" maybe the other was an underground dweller, vex had no idea.

"Hey, I don't knock how anyone dresses, okay? This city is weird." Verosika admitted with a smile., "Oh, it's in America. I don't really know how else to explain that, because I am not from this world. I'm actually from a place way below this one."

"oh," that worried vex a little bit, "well, that's too bad. it's a wonderful place." she nodded as well, "you're not from here either? that's reassuring..in a sense. where are you from?" she wasn't sure what he meant by lower, but she'd probably find out soon.

"I can assure you that you are not in Exandria because I have never heard of that place." Pentious admitted with a slight nod. "However, I will tell you that no, I am not originally from this weird little city. I am from a place much lower than this place."

"have you had keyleth try to get home via tree?" that was probably obvious and the first thing he tried when he found keyleth but she had to ask. if keyleth couldn't get her magic to work, they were truly doomed. not to be dramatic. she sucked in a breath and began walking with him again. "your resurrection after ripley?" that's quite a bit of time he's missing. she should have figured that out considering the cane and how..not old he was. now she was more worried about telling him about their children. she didn't want to overwhelm him. she kissed his hand. "i love you so much darling. my heart." she lead him to an empty bench under a shade tree and sat down. "alright. if you think you can handle it." she took a breath and looked at him, waiting for affirmation, then began. "well, first is little vesper, named for your sister. she's a wonderful young woman, following right in cassandra's footsteps. she'll make a wonderful leader of whitestone someday. then to no one's surprise, we have twins. wolfe and leona. they're little hellions. just like me and vax. still teens but not mellowing out at all. then little vax-" she paused. how was she going to explain the naming of their son? he didn't know about her brother's fate yet. she supposed that would be the next conversation. she wiped a tear she could feel forming and finished, "and then our little daddy's girl, gwendolyn. she's your favorite and you're not the best at hiding it," she chuckled, "she's different and special, but neither of us let that get to her. she's still too young for that conversation." she gives a small smile before looking at her husband, "darling, she's a tiefling." most likely due to orthax but she didn't want to mention that right now. she just wanted percy to take this all in and process the fact that he has children.

"I will try my hardest." Percy smiled at her, he was so relieved to have her here once more. She was able to keep him grounded like no one else ever could. His beautiful Vex, his whole life and future. "I imagine nothing less of our children." He was grateful to know that there was a future for them, that they had children and a family. After losing his, it was all he could dream of. As she took his hand he reached down to pick up his cane, still needing it to walk. Though with her at his side he did feel stronger. He hobbled along beside her towards the park. "I've been trying to not think about that too much... I tried to think about ways to get back home but nothing worked." He sighed. "Hopefully." He nodded. They deserved some peace and calm after everything. He stopped when she did, looking into her eyes. He put a little more weight onto his cane. "Last thing from was home, after you and the others revived me and we went our separate ways. My whole life I've been fighting for my family. Revenge for my blood family then fighting for you and Vox Machina. I thought I'd never live to see that day even that I found love, or someone could love me. Then you came along. I won't push you to tell me but I can handle it. I promise. My body may still be fragile but my mind is strong."

vex was sitting, fanning herself as he sat down. she let out a grateful sigh, "it's like the gods were listening to me and sent you," she joked, "i'm absolutely parched." she nodded and took the beverage from him. she wasn't quite sure what it was but she could read the outside and it said something about electrolytes and hydration, so she figured it was probably a good thing to drink on a day like this. and it was cold, and that was all that mattered to her in the moment. "thank you."

Bram sighs as he sits on the bench, happy to have a break from jogging. He looks towards the other. "It's so hot today. I have an extra sports drink if you want it?"

"huh?" angie turned around as she exited the coffee shop seeing someone standing just outside, exasperated. "did i step out in front of you? i'm sorry." she shook her head as she apologized. "my head is elsewhere today."

open starter | kim possible

Kim was on her way to her office, she had a couple of cases to work through but her first priority was coffee. If she was going to get anything done then she needed the fuel of caffeine to get her through it.

She was just about to head into the coffee shop near her office when someone walked in front of her, luckily she had good reflexes and didn't end up tripping but still they could have looked where they were going.

"Yeah, you're welcome."

"probably not," she agreed. "i'm sure the tech and stuff is always changing. it'd be a lot to keep up with."

"Thanks." Sion nodded briefly. There was something a little familiar about her but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "Well and with jets you know you can't let your skills or reflexes falter."

she chuckled, "well, my point still stands. you need some time off." she nodded, "that's a little helpful at least. but i still think you should try to shorten your schedule. even if it's just a couple hours a day. that's 10-14 hours a week depending on how many days you work."

"i don't work every day, just most days." jo chuckled as she took a sip of her own coffee. "i try to have an alternate schedule with link. that way someone is always home while the other is at work." she chuckled. "chief. though plenty of people call the chief supervisor."

angie only laughed in response. their parents always meant well, but they could be overbearing at times. almost helicopter-y, but not quite that bad. she pursed her lips, "well if you're going to marry the guy, at least tell me about him," she crossed her arms, "i don't care that you're engaged, i need to decide if he's good enough for my little sister."

"ugh please don't give them any ideas of getting life360 or something on us. you know they'd be tracking our every moves from the grocery story to home." there was an exasperated sigh that left her, but also a laugh. it was these small moments of a family moment that made things feel, well, more normal. "i was going to tell you eventually i swear! there has just been so much going on that's it's kind of slipped my kind," she admitted sheepishly. "it's no one you know. i met him here in dc. he's really everything i couyld have ever asked for in a person."

"how'd you know green was my color?" patia flipped some pearly white hair behind her pointed ear. she smiled, "i'm trying to branch out, but i usually stick to blues, greens, and gold."

Juliet holds up the dress. "What do you think about this? I think it would look so cute on you."

"i'm pretty sure you're not supposed to open the doors..." paita pointed out as she came across the woman. she wanted to learn more about this world and their important places, but the person doing this tour had a very monotone voice and was boring her. it was a big group, so she decided to slip away. unnoticed, she was pretty sure. then she came across this person. "you seem lost."

Open for anyone.

Gold Ship sighed to herself. She decided to go the white house tour but she got lost. There was an annoyed grunt as she tried to travel to the rooms. Opening the doors to each one. "No. No. No." She said as she opened and slammed each door. The former champion didnt notice someone coming towards her. "Why does this white house have so rooms...." She groaned to herself.

angie nodded, "don't you work every day? even taking one morning or night off would probably help a lot. or just the whole day." she took a sip of her coffee. "then you would get to spend more time with your kids. maybe you need to talk to your supervisor....or..chief? is that what they're called?"

"i know, i know." a sigh left jo's lips. she hated when other people were right and then she had to stick with that fact. "i guess i could cut back on work. it would certainly save on daycare for three kids. but i also love my job. ugh why does it have to be so complicated?"

"oh. well, that's totally fair. good for you." she saluted him. anything to work up that corporate ladder. "it's always good to say on top of what's going on."

"No I'm a captain in the airforce. Just don't think that simply because I'm an officer my discipline should go down. And if I want to move up have to keep proving himself." Despite being brother to the vice president, it didn't open many doors.
