Percy watched as Apollo walked through the field of flowers and gently trailed a hand over them. The stems of purple flowers began to twirl themselves around the God's fingers.

"Why are they doing that?" Percy asked. Flowers don't just act on their own like that, there has to be something, something more to it.

Apollo hummed, "they are Hyacinths," he replied, "they are what is left of my lover Hyacinthus."

"These ones don't look like the ones you can buy."

"No," Apollo's lips turned up slightly in the corners, "the ones you'd be familiar with are a different kind of flower, these are the true Hyacinth flowers I turned my dear Hyacinthus into when he layed dying in my arms."

Percy didn't have time to unpack all of that and instead focused on the flowers and watched as they began to tug on the God's fingers, "is he still alive?"

"In a sense." Apollo replied as he sat down but offered no more.

"Why did you bring me here?" Percy asked as he sat down, "I have two assignments due and classes to get to. I don't have time for a quest if that's what this is."

The God laughed and the flowers, the Hyacinths, seemed to gain intensity in their colour as they curled more around Apollo, now covering his arms and tangling themselves in his hair.

"No, no Percy," he said, grinning and making no move to untangle the flowers, instead he seemed to lean into them, "that's not what this is."

"Then what is it?"

Apollo's smile fell and his brilliant gold eyes burned with intensity as they stared into his. "Have you noticed?"

Percy's mind went blank, "noticed what?"

"Perseus."

"I don't know what you mean." Percy whispered, digging his fingers into the ground.

"I think you do."

The sun began to burn on Percy's face with Apollo's unforgiving stare, "why am I here, Apollo?" He asked again.

"To remind you of the pain and cost that will come."

Percy stood up and wiped his dirty fingers on his jeans, "I need to go," he said, "I need to get back to Annabeth, she'll be worried when she can't find me. and I've got my assignments to do, I can't get anymore behind than I already am, I-"

"What colour do you bleed now, cousin?" Apollo asked, cutting through his rambling.

Percy stopped speaking as his thoughts immediately went to the drop of blood from a recent cut that dripped down to his finger, how it and the trial it left glimmered a brilliant bronze and he turned and walked away.

"You cannot out run ascension Perseus," the god said from far behind him, Apollo did not need to shout as a God's word is always heard, "your Father will find you when the time comes."

Saw this sprite manifest in my head and just had to create it just to see if I could make it look decent, dunno if I'll make more but this style is very fun to scribble things up for.

Medical devices should not require an iOS or Android app to work. It took me twelve fucking minutes to set up and get my phone to connect to my migraine treatment device, 12 minutes during a horrendous migraine and I had to fight with my phone to get it to work instead of pressing a fucking button on the device. It might need a small controller to change strength but thats not fucking difficult to add.

Relying on a phone is bullshit: what if I'm out of battery? what if bluetooth is broken or something? what if I'm in too much pain to get the treatment app to work defeating the purpose? What if I'm paranoid about privacy so chose a non iOS/Android phone? What if I have issues with smartphones so use a classic cell phone? I know people that require that.

Requiring a disabled person to have iOS/Android in order for treatment to work is an unnecessary and borderline discriminatory practice.

Edit: After seeing all the personal anecdotes in comments reblogs and tags, I've come to a new conclusion— it is discriminatory.
