NetWatch Agent
Virgile worked for NetWatch for 6 years. And while I saw him more in a chair than in the field, the idea has been growing in my mind for a while. I like Virgile in the field. And he hated it, going out to stop netrunners live, arresting them, stealing (because that's the right word) their equipment and data to protect the Net.

The hustle and bustle of the Sekai Taikai filled the All Valley. The bright lights shone intensely, the cheers of the spectators echoed through the stands, and the sharp sound of blows on the tatami set the rhythm of each match. Everything felt so familiar that, for a moment, you felt trapped in déjà vu. It was as if Barcelona had never ended, as if those chaotic and exciting days were happening all over again before your eyes.
But this time, something was different.
You were carrying your baby in your arms, wrapped in a soft blanket, as you walked through the gym hallways, trying to find a quiet place to calm him down. Being Miguel’s older sister had already made you a familiar figure in the karate world, but now, being a mother made you feel even more visible. You received curious glances, some filled with tenderness, and others, like the one you had felt from the first day, filled with something deeper.
You knew exactly who it was.
You hadn’t forgotten his intense gaze since the tournament in Barcelona. Even then, when your whole world revolved around supporting Miguel, you couldn’t ignore the way he looked at you. Like you were a mystery he was dying to solve. But back then, there was no room for distractions. Your baby was on the way, and everything else faded into the background.
You didn’t expect to see him again, much less here. But there he was, on the other side of the tatami, leading his students with that calm authority that defined him. And every time you looked up, you found him watching you.
The first day you managed to avoid him. Between taking care of your baby, supporting Miguel, and dodging awkward questions, you kept your distance. But at the end of the day, when the stands were starting to empty and the noise was fading away, his voice caught you by surprise.
“I didn’t think I’d see you again so soon.”
You turned slowly, finding yourself face to face with him. He was even more imposing than you remembered. Tall, with his slightly messy hair and that lopsided smile that felt like a challenge.
“Me neither,” you replied cautiously, adjusting your baby’s blanket.
Wolf took a step toward you, never breaking eye contact.
“May I…?” he asked softly, gesturing towards the little one sleeping in your arms.
You hesitated for a moment but nodded. He approached carefully, observing the baby with a tenderness you didn’t expect from someone like him.
“He’s beautiful,” he whispered. “Just like his mother.”
You rolled your eyes, but a smile escaped your lips before you could stop it.
“Always so direct?”
“Only when I’m sure of what I want,” he replied without hesitation.
A shiver ran down your spine. You remembered too well the feeling of his intense gaze, but now there was something more. Something you didn’t dare name.
“I have to go,” you murmured, walking away quickly before he could say anything else.
The next few days felt like a silent game. Every time you walked past him, you felt his gaze following you. Every time you tried to focus on something else, his image crept back into your mind. And every time you thought about getting closer, you reminded yourself that your life was no longer just yours.
But Wolf didn’t seem willing to give up.
One afternoon, while you were walking through a quieter area of the gym to calm your baby, you found him leaning against a wall, as if he had been waiting for you.
“Are you avoiding me?” he asked with that smile that made you nervous.
“I’m not avoiding you. I’m… busy,” you replied, trying to sound firm.
“I understand. You have a lot going on in your life now. But… can I take you to dinner after the tournament?”
You laughed softly, shaking your head.
“Dinner? With a baby? Doesn’t sound very practical.”
“I don’t care about the circumstances,” he said, stepping a little closer. “I only care about you.”
Your heart pounded loudly. You wanted to say no, that it was too complicated. But part of you longed to feel seen, desired… loved.
“I’ll think about it,” you finally said, walking away before he could press further.
The night of the tournament’s final day arrived faster than you expected. Miguel was focused on his final match, and you were trying not to think too much about Wolf. But it was impossible. Every time you looked around, you found him nearby, watching you with that intensity that made you lose your breath.
During a short break, Miguel approached you, frowning.
“What’s going on with you? You’ve been acting weird the whole tournament.”
“Nothing’s going on,” you lied, avoiding his gaze.
“Does it have something to do with that guy?” he asked, discreetly pointing at Wolf across the gym. “I’ve seen him watching you the whole time.”
You were speechless, surprised that Miguel had noticed.
“It’s nothing, Miguel,” you tried to reassure him.
“If he hurts you, I’ll knock him out,” he joked, though you knew he meant it.
The final match ended, Miguel won, and the gym started to empty out. You were gathering your things when you felt a presence behind you.
“Have you thought about it?” His voice was soft but determined.
You turned to find him closer than you expected.
“My life isn’t simple. I have a baby, responsibilities… I don’t know if I can do this.”
Wolf nodded, as if he had already considered it.
“I’m not asking you to leave everything behind. I’m just asking for a chance.”
You bit your lip, unsure. But when he reached out and gently caressed your baby’s cheek, something inside you gave in.
“Okay,” you whispered, almost not believing it.
Wolf smiled, a genuine smile you hadn’t seen before, and for the first time in a long time, you felt that maybe, just maybe, you deserved to be happy.
He took a step closer, so close that you could feel the warmth of his presence, the weight of his gaze. For a moment, the noise of the gym disappeared, and all that existed between the two of you was that charged atmosphere, full of unspoken promises.
"So, when will we see each other?" he asked softly, his tone as gentle as the brush of a warm breeze.
You could feel the knot in your stomach, the mix of emotions you had always managed to control, but now they seemed to flood out like an unstoppable torrent. The idea of letting someone into your life, of allowing Wolf to have some kind of access to you, terrified you. But at the same time, there was something in the way he looked at you, something in his stillness, that told you it could be different. That maybe what he was offering wasn’t a distraction, but something real.
"I promised I'd think about it," you replied, your voice trembling a little, but you managed to keep it steady.
Wolf didn’t insist. Instead, he simply nodded with that calmness that always surrounded him.
"I know. I just don’t want you to think I’m pressuring you. Take your time, okay?"
A small sigh escaped your lips. You could see the sincerity in his eyes, and that, more than anything else, made you lower your guard a little. You were used to being alone, to facing everything by yourself, but in that moment, you didn’t know what was happening, but you didn’t want to reject the idea of being with him.
"I’ll see you later," you said with a slight nod before turning and walking toward the lobby, where your baby was starting to move in your arms, as if the little one had something to say.
The afternoon passed in a whirlwind of emotions. Every step you took brought you closer to a point of no return. On one hand, you thought about your child, about what he needed, about what you needed. Were you ready to open your heart to someone else after so much time keeping the world at a distance?
And yet, something inside you told you that maybe you were. Maybe it was time to take the risk.
When night fell, and the place emptied of the last wave of spectators, you found yourself face-to-face with him again. He was there, as if he had been waiting for you, in a corner of the gym, surrounded by the lights that were slowly turning off.
"I think I’ve made a decision," you said, looking at your feet for a moment, taking a breath before raising your gaze to meet his.
Wolf raised an eyebrow, interested but not pressing you. He knew that what you were about to say was important, and you could see that in his expectant look.
"And... what is that decision?" he asked, his voice low and smooth at the same time, sending a shiver down your spine.
You smiled slightly, with that insecurity you only felt when you didn’t know what the future held.
"I think I’d like to... have that dinner after all." Your words were like a revelation, something that had been locked inside and finally came out.
Wolf took a step toward you, and the world seemed to stop for an instant.
"Then, will you let me do things right?" he asked, his voice almost a whisper as his hands, firm yet gentle, took your baby’s hands, giving you space to make the decision you had already made in your heart.
Without thinking twice, you nodded, feeling like you could finally see the possibility of something beyond your fears.
Wolf smiled, a smile that wasn’t one of triumph or satisfaction, but a warm, understanding smile, as if he had understood every piece of uncertainty that had been swirling in your mind. It was the first time you felt truly seen, as if everything you had kept inside, everything you had feared, had found a place where it could fit.
"So, when will we see each other?" he asked again, but this time there was no urgency in his voice, just a longing you secretly shared.
Your heart was pounding in your chest, but instead of resisting, you decided to let that feeling surround you. You didn’t have clear answers, nor did you know what the future might bring, but something told you that, at least for a moment, you could allow that small spark of hope.
"Tomorrow?" you answered almost without thinking, as if you had been waiting for that response in some corner of your being.
Wolf nodded, his gaze fixed on yours with a soft but unwavering intensity. The noises of the gym, the flickering lights, everything faded into the air, as if time had stopped just for you to be here, in this space, in this possibility of what could be.
As you walked toward the exit, your steps slowed, as if the weight of the decision was taking form in your feet. The little one in your arms adjusted, breathing peacefully, his small face calm, unaware of the internal battle you had fought.
You reached the door, and before stepping out into the cold of the night, Wolf stopped. He turned to look at you, his expression serious but filled with something you couldn’t quite identify, something that invited you to come closer, to trust.
"I promise you won’t regret it," he said, his words simple, yet carrying a weight that made you believe them.
Without thinking, you nodded. Because sometimes, what you needed wasn’t to have all the answers, but to know that someone, even if just for a moment, was willing to walk alongside you, not pressuring you, not demanding anything more than being there.
With one last look, he said goodbye with a simple gesture, a promise without words.

Every time someone writes anything re: the Arrows (esp Ollie) and treat it like they have these like Bat-level strict morals or just otherwise being really "strictly principled"???? it drives me crazy. Like I don't wanna be "you haven't read the comics" but... They haven't.
Ollie, very famously, killed not only Parallax (something which was very difficult for him bcs Hal was his friend, for all their fighting), but also the Electrocutioner (for killing Lian, maiming Roy, and destroying most of his city). There was that whole thing in Crossroads when he worked with Huntress, Catwoman, and Deathstroke, and was killing criminals with guns! Killed a man torturing Dinah! Hell, even further, at least once he helped someone who he considered to have been justified in killing someone escape the law!
I'm pretty sure literally all of his proteges have harder lines than he does (Jason criticizes Mia for limiting her angles to non-lethal in Seeing Red, Oliver being shown to use more brutal methods in a team up with Roy in comic I admittedly don't remember the exact name of & Connor disapproved of Ollie training with the guy who trained Deathstroke to learn the "killing arts" re: 1YL, tho idr if that was more of a killing disapproval or a "dad, really, this guy is awful tho???" kinda deal. Uhhh... Emiko might be an exception to this probably, at least inasmuch as you can consider those two his proteges given I don't think Ollie really trained them that much/they mostly came to him like that). Hell, when Mia killed someone he wasn't mad about her killing so much as that it was her (an innocent kid) that did it!
In the marriage comic, Dinah had apparently killed Ollie in self-defense! (Before concluding that it hadn't been him despite all evidence to the contrary, ect., ect., ect.)
Roy worked for the gov't and definitely killed for them when it was called for. Fell in love with an assassin and walked away instead of turning her in or killing her like he was probably supposed to do despite knowing she'd likely go on to keep killing more people (You could call this a statement on his love for her, which on some level, yeah, but on the other level shows that his lines aren't so well-defined.) The only reason he hadn't killed the Electrocutioner himself is bcs Ollie got there first. For all the complaints re: RHATO/RH&A they are still considered current canon (to an extent, I think some specific things around it might be retconned?) & he has killed in there too.
Emiko as a former assassin/being trained & raised to be a "perfect killer" by Shado I feel is rather self-explanatory.
There's probably more but I'm runnin' out of steam here. Anyways. My point is that while they're not exactly actively murderous vigilantes, they FAR from have some kind of no-kill rule. They'll typically try something else first, but when lines are crossed (like their family) or there doesn't appear to be a better solution that would actually work, they're plenty willing. They're not "Batfam 2.0 but lamer and not as powerful," which seems to be the predominant interpretation most of the time.
EDIT: I have a confession to make, I mis-cited who Ollie killed. I forgot there were TWO GUYS involved bcs it's been so long and it's not exactly a storyline I like revisiting, so they sort of blended in to my mind. The one who tore off Roy's arm, as well as sent the order to set off the bomb that killed Lian was Prometheus, and THAT'S the one who Ollie killed. Roy most definitely did in fact end up killing the Electrocutioner, who was the trigger man who pushed the actual button to set it off, and for a brief period did in fact go on to try and kill Deathstroke before he came to terms with Lian's death. Ollie did also have some regret for killing Prometheus and did try to stop Roy, because he felt that it was a pointless revenge which... tbh considering some of his other things I'm like "okay buddy, little hypocritical there but you are nothing if not a knowingly flawed man trying to do the best by those around him."

thinking once again about the weird anti-climatic ending to the mystery of ruby's mother, and while it Is possible and probable that rtd will just leave it there bc he Loves a disappointing finale lmao, I've been thinking about different ways it could go/have gone and like....as much as I didn't want it before, I really have talked myself into believing clara as ruby's mother makes the most sense lol. not even just because they look so much alike, narratively it would WORK.
clara LIVES UP to the impossible girl title well after her final breath. she only meets the doctor because she jumps into his timestream -> she stops him from dying at trenzalore meaning there's no timestream for her to jump into -> but that would mean she never met the doctor thus he would have died at trenzalore -> she's forever living in the space between her final heartbeat -> the doctor can't remember her but can remember exactly where she's supposed to be -> she is constantly everywhere and nowhere all at once. clara is just a bunch of paradoxes shoved into a tiny body with big brown eyes.
ask yourself which makes more sense: the god of death getting obsessed with a random teenager who's face he just happened to not catch, or getting obsessed with the IMPOSSIBLE GIRL WHO CHEATED DEATH!!
it would make sense why the doctor's memory of the encounter with ruby's mother keeps changing- the memory wipe is still messing with him. I know I know he saw a vision of clara before he regenerated into 13, but it doesn't make any sense that a memory wipe like that would wear off. MAYBE, maybe, it's weakened a little over the years, and he can recognize clara when she's right in front of him, but the memory won't hold in his mind. sorta like the silence I guess?? it'd be interesting! explains why he was crying when he saw ruby's mother but couldn't remember her face or what she was doing past that.
ruby's weird snow powers are tied directly to memories- and memories are the HEART of the doctor and clara's run. literally she spent millions of lifetimes begging him to remember her, only for his memories of her to get erased. guys I literally don't even ship them like we established they're too insane to be together but that is SO fucked up they are SO deeply deeply intertwined it makes me craaazzzy. he survived 5 billion years of torture on her memory alone. everything he knows about her now is because he pieced together the holes she left behind. I'm gonna PUKE. ruby's powers turn up whenever she remembers something so you could absolutely tie that together if need be. why snow? idk man something something the great intelligence was still using sentient snow when clara jumped into the doctor's timeline with it. I'm not the showrunner I don't need to come up with that part. but it is DOABLE as a storyline.
imagine you're sutek the god of death and there's already this weird bitch who has cheated you and become functionally immortal and then she GIVES BIRTH AFTER DYING!!! you'd be going insane and yes you'd be obsessing over the impossible girl 2.0. hell, we can keep the 'he didn't see the mother's face' bit, but he would absolutely be able to sense a woman that has died millions of times over and is somehow alive without a beating heart. it would make his interest in ruby understandable.
how'd clara get pregnant? she was on a self-destructive run after danny's death, her and 12 were already capable of making holding hands erotic, and I can absolutely see a scenario where they sleep together and then clara, still trying to ruin her life, plays it off like a casual thing while 12 cries inside as he drives her to another booty call with jane austen, knowing damn well he'd do it all over again and keep letting her hurt him.
how'd she carrying a pregnancy after dying? fanon has been made canon before. you read any timebaby fic and they all come to the conclusion that time lord fetuses are like indestructible because of so much regeneration energy. I know I know we love the looms but "witches cursed gallifrey with sterility" is extremely stupid<3 besides her womb isn't gallifreyan so maybe it doesn't even matter in that case lmao.
why'd she abandon the baby? maybe she reasonably was like 'hey all of space and time at your fingertips is probably not a great environment for a child to grow up in'. she's dead and mentally ill and spends all her time running head first into explosions. also maybe lady me talked to her about her pain from losing and forgetting her children. she can't give the baby to the doctor, because 1) they can't see each other they made a pact 2) he has the exact same life style as her which, again, time machines aren't exactly baby proof. so she asks her tardis to take her somewhere the baby will be safe, it takes her to a church, which are considered safe haven's to surrender babies no questions asked. but then, also, it takes her to the doctor anyway- and of course the doctor would keep the baby safe.
why'd ruby register as human when the doctor scanned her? clara has a tardis, so she has a chameleon arc. why did ruby's mother not have dna in the system in the 2040s? because her mother died in 2015. why does ruby have to be the doctor's daughter? I guess she doesn't HAVE to be, but "boom" and "the devil's chord" were like...pretty damning for me lmao. also, I'm pro Let Him Be A Dad Again, also imagine the angst potential if he realizes he abandoned his daughter bc he couldn't project his trauma onto her anymore.
where does louise come into play? (wait also louise is jenna coleman's middle name that she stopped using professionally during her doctor who run lol). well it's clear mrs. flood is a god of stories or something along those lines. maybe she just...made louise up for the story. maybe she wanted ruby out of the tardis. maybe she didn't like the idea of bringing an old companion back. maybe she doesn't want the doctor to get his 'happy ending' and that includes keeping his child away from him. FUNNIEST option would be if they go the 'stuck in a tv show' route and she's just like "oh well there was scheduling conflicts with clara's actress so I just decided to nix that storyline :/" and the doctor is like please what the FUCK are you talking about lmfao
this is getting too long so I'm gonna stop but...it WOULD work and I like this better than what we have so far. rtd dude please come on.

Zhongli x Reader / NSFW / SAGAU / Set after the events of Fontaine Archon Quest / Not Canon-Compliant / Reader is Creator Primordial God 2.0 / Mentions of romanticized death and suicidal ideation / Starts out light & kinky and ends up dark and angsty as with everything I write
"Your Grace?" The old god's voice trembled as he approached you.
Stagnant emotions stirred to life in the depths of his amber eyes. There you stood in front of him, like a resurrected phantom from his distant past, familiar yet so unrecognizable.
A warm smile spread over your lips. Out of all the faces in Teyvat, you looked forward to seeing his the most.
Zhongli had always been your favorite of the seven Archons. From the moment you laid eyes on him, he had a certain hold over you. That had always been the case for the past four years. It was no different now that you were no longer separated by a screen.
The moment you spawned, curled up in that oversized marble throne up in the sky over Teyvat, they all felt it. Memories flooded into your head, causing you to nearly vomit from the overload. Just your luck. Instead of some unknown adventurer, the role you had been thrust into was that of the game's final antagonist, the Creator of Teyvat, which had been asleep until you appeared.
"You've finally returned." He said gravely.
"You don't sound happy to see me, Morax." You took a seat in the lacquered chair in front of him, sipping on the tea he had brought you. "Or should I call you Zhongli now, since you've abandoned the post given to you?"
You couldn't let him onto the fact that you weren't the same person who had given him his divine title, not without ensuring your own safety first. You might be down bad for this man, but your braincells were still alive and well. Out of the seven archons the original Creator appointed, only two remained. Most have given away their gnosis and one even managed to destroy their divine seat and return sovereignty to a dragon. It was needless to say, Celestia's control over them had been slipping long before you stepped in.
"I have not, your Grace. My exit was necessary for the people of Liyue. If I did not leave, I fear the erosion I am subjected to under the Heavenly Principles will cause undue harm to them, which I cannot bear to see."
"If you wanted to leave, why are you still mingling with them disguised as a funeral consultant, hm?" You couldn't help but prod him a little. "You're quite attached to them, aren't you?"
"I am." He admitted after a pause. "Anything will grow on you given enough time."
"I guess we've grown distant then. You even threw away the gnosis I gave you."
"Forgive me, your Grace. There was no indication that you would ever return otherwise."
"I'd understand if we're speaking about the Anemo Archon, but you? I never took you for the impulsive sort. What would you have done if the Cryo Archon failed? I left you with all of my wishes and you gambled everything on an experiment to bring me back."
The ex-archon drew in a deep breath. "I don't expect to escape the consequences. Punish me as you see fit."
"Oh, I'll punish you." The corner of your lips curled slightly. "Not too harshly though. You're my favorite afterall."
You didn't miss the ripple of shock that lit up his eyes momentarily. The Creator he remembered would never have said such a thing. Maybe you should tone the favoritism down a bit. Morax wasn't dumb. If he found out the Creator had been hijacked, you might actually be in trouble.
Well, that part didn't exactly pan out as you imagined. You were spending way too much time with him even though you deliberately told yourself to avoid him when you could. Even with the original Creator's memories to skim over, you were ultimately not the same person. Of course you would slip up, repeatedly at that. He kept popping up in places you happened to be at unannounced, drifting into his spot beside you like you had willed it to happen in your head. It was like all the forces in Teyvat, the earth, the wind, the rain, everything was giving its utmost efforts to fulfill some sort of unspoken demand of yours.
"Are you following me?" You finally couldn't take it anymore and blurted out your suspicions. "You're like my cat. I go to the bathroom, she's there. I go to the kitchen, she's there. Bedroom, there. She's like sticky rice. I know she can't leave me alone because she's obsessed with me. Are you obsessed with me?"
Zhongli stood there awkwardly, trying to articulate an explanation for his incessant appearances. He didn't even get the chance to process that you were talking about a cat that didn't even exist in Teyvat, but rather in your homeworld.
"It certainly seems that way, doesn't it, your Grace? I assure you though, I was simply on my way to purchase some tea."
Maybe he was telling the truth. Two things could be true at once. There must be a reason, you stubbornly thought. This wasn't normal!
You had to get down to the bottom of this, or you'll definitely drive yourself crazy. As a logical person tossed into a fantastical place like Teyvat, you were sorely out of your element. Trying to exercise common sense here was like trying to measure water with a ruler. It made no sense, but you persisted. You'd conduct experiments and find answers.
As the Creator of Teyvat, the first descender, your will was said to be powerful enough to rival the world. Your feats included sealing away its original sovereigns and rearranging its landscape. You also created life and implemented the heavenly principles that gave order and structure to the world you willed into existence. All who belonged to Teyvat succumbed to your will to some extent.
Your gaze landed on a stray cat pacing back and forth under a food stall. There was a morsel at the edge of the counter. You narrowed your eyes on it, focusing all your attention at it.
"Fall." You uttered under your breath.
A gust of wind knocked the inconspicuous piece of food off the edge, sending it spiraling to the ground. The cat picked it up and happily sprinted off. You were left speechless.
Once, it could be a coincidence. Twice, it might still be a coincidence. Third time, it had to be divine intervention.
After the lucky cat had its fill, you accepted the uncanny possibility that as the Creator god of Teyvat, you might have some say in what happens in it. Maybe, just maybe… you were the reason Zhongli couldn't leave you alone.
If you liked him a normal amount, he would have no trouble escaping your gravitational pull, but your love for him was a little bit extra. If you wanted him to kiss you badly enough, he would probably have to. Whether he trips and falls on you at exactly the right angle for your lips to accidentally meet or he suddenly gets an unreasonably strong urge to push you against a wall and smother you was more-or-less a matter of execution.
Zhongli was a patient soul. His kiss was gentle and unrushed like he was, savoring the taste and sensation of your lips as he caressed them. At that moment, your respective identities melted away. His arms held your body against his chest, his hands cradled the back of your head, and his fingers buried themselves in your hair. The streets of Liyue faded from your ears. All you could hear was your rapidly beating heart.
The kiss repeated itself inside your head for hours on end, stealing your sleep even after you had retreated into your bed. It hadn't happened out of nowhere since you willed it to happen, but the question still plagued you. Did you take advantage of him? Could that kiss even be considered a kiss? How much intention was invested on his end and if you weren't the Creator god of Teyvat, would a kiss have ever happened between you? Probably not, you dejectedly concluded.
"I'm not the original Creator, Zhongli." You finally confessed to him after months of indulgence and pretending. He hummed softly as you drew circles on his skin.
"Your Grace…" Zhongli gazes at you with overflowing adoration. "I've known there was something different about you from the moment I laid eyes on you."
"You did?" You asked, shifting your weight as you laid on him. "What gave it away?"
The two of you had definitely gotten a lot more intimate following that first kiss. You felt at ease in his arms and so you found yourself constantly glued to him. His presence was magnetic to you and yours to him.
"You do a rather poor job of concealing your true self, I must say." He chuckled.
"I was half-expecting you to kill me or something as soon as you knew I wasn't the original Creator." You closed your eyes, letting your face rest against the curve of his neck as his fingers combed through your hair. The last of your worries were expelled with his words of reassurance.
"Now why would I do something so uncalled for? You've done nothing to warrant such harsh retaliation."
"I don't know. What if you saw me as a threat to Liyue? I saw what the Tianquan Ningguang did to the Lord of the Vortex when he reared his head. She definitely learned that from somewhere."
Despite Rex Lapis being dead, you could still feel the intense residual devotion this place had for their past archon. You wondered if he felt the same reverence for the Creator before you arrived. From your inherited memories, the original Creator had a habit of dropping pointy things from the sky.
"I will not harm you, nor will I ever allow the others to." He whispered, his every word carrying weight.
Upon arrival in Teyvat, you had made your rounds visiting the other nations and meeting with the other archons. To their disappointment, you never stayed for long. Your favoritism was undeniable. You had practically taken up root in Liyue. The only place you skipped was Fontaine, since it was probably a good idea to avoid the resident Hydro Sovereign in case he opted to take out his justice on you. You wondered if he'd believe you if you said you weren't the original Creator who sealed away his kind.
"Of course you won't." You murmured against his ear. "Even though I'm not the same person, I'm still the Creater and you're still an archon. You're bound by my will. If I tell you to go left, you're not able to go right."
"I am not a puppet, your Grace." He disagreed. "Neither is your will a leash."
"Kiss me." You ordered him. "Let's see if you've got it in you to disobey me."
He raised a brow at your choice of a challenge. A couple seconds of silence passed between the two of you. You began to wonder if Zhongli really could resist your will. Your eyes fell on his lips. They were relaxed, not pressed tightly against each other. Your thoughts drifted off to the handful of times he kissed you. His lips were always gentle whenever they brushed against yours. What would it be like he were swept up in a bit of fervor? Would he draw your lips harshly between his own, or would he part them impatiently so that he could slip his tongue in?
Your throat suddenly became drier than the deserts of Sumeru. A faint blush began to spread over your cheeks. Zhongli swallowed, but didn't move in the slightest. You were already beginning to feel hot and restless. Who were you kidding? The one with the figurative collar around their neck was obviously you. You knew that since before you got sucked into this game.
"You're really not going to kiss me." You realized.
"I am not immune to you any more than anyone else residing in Teyvat. I simply have self-restraint." He calmly says, which gets your blood boiling.
"Fine, you've got self-restraint. I don't!"
You playfully bit the man on the lip before kissing him with vengeance. He moaned softly as he endured your incense ministrations.
"Well demonstrated." He chuckled when you finally pulled away.
"Tease me again and I'll put a collar on you." You warned.
"If you wish to do so, it's within your divine right." He replied with utmost seriousness.
You treated him so differently from the original Creator. If he didn't occasionally remind himself that there were irrefutable differences between you and him, he feared he'd forget his place. You were most likely joking, but perhaps a collar was what he needed.
"Should I?" You continued on, unaware of what was going on in the archon's mind. "Imagine the esteemed Mr Zhongli, being dragged along the streets of Liyue in a collar and leash…"
"Perhaps we could forego the leash?" He smiled at you, unfazed as if what you had just imagined was nothing out of the ordinary.
You looked into the old god's eyes. In his unwavering gaze you could read everything he didn't say, the depth of his devotion to you, all the outrageous things you could ever think of asking from him and the resounding answer to all of them.
"I'll allow it." You relented.
As the primoridal god of Teyvat, you had to keep your archon in line. Since you said you'd punish him, you had to see to it that he was properly disciplined.
That very evening, you dragged the poor archon to a number of shops, jewelry stalls, and even a petshop. You settled on a black choker with fine gold threading that formed an intricate pattern. It was simplistic and went along well with his current suit. A single cor lapis pendant dangled from the center.
Currently, that pendant was caught between your lips as you straddled him. Since he said it was your divine right to do as you pleased with him, you wanted to see how far he'd let you go with that statement. The silk choker really did look good on him, especially after you've removed every other piece of clothing on his body. Your fingers danced along the edge of it, hooking underneath it and abruptly twisting it so that it tightened around his neck.
"Your Grace—" He coughed from lack of air.
With Zhongli's eyes blindfolded and his arms tied, he couldn't predict your movements nor interrupt you. He was completely at your mercy. You let go of the choker, returning the ability to breathe to him. As if to apologize for the distress caused, you leaned in and planted a kiss at his neck, the tip of your tongue gliding along the skin under the piece of fabric. He swallowed and panted, face flushed.
"See, it suits you." You cooed, tracing his collar with a finger. "Don't you dare take it off. If you do, I promise I'll get that leash. Maybe even a whip."
Zhongli winced in pain as you bit into his neck, drawing the heated skin between your lips. It'd be fine even if you left an unsightly mark. The choker would simply cover it, along with the faint lines caused by your tightening it around his neck.
At times, he wished they had lasted a little longer. All of them had faded too quickly. The burden of your love was quite heavy, but it was one he considered himself lucky to have been chosen to bear. You had chosen him to experience those moments with, each of them preserved in his memories like gilded gems.
In all his thousands of years of existence, the old god never foresaw a day where the missing primordial Creator he had been waiting so long for would return as a completely different person. Furthermore, he could never have forseen this new Creator would be so enamored with him. While he was reasonably honored to receive this disproportionate favor, he had initially suggested you visit the other archons more instead of spending all your time in Liyue with him. That would be fair, he told you. In hindsight, after your departure, he was glad you never listened. Few things in life were fair. Your untimely departure was far from that. The things you were killed for, none of them were your doing, but nobody believed you except him. Zhongli had paid the ultimate price for taking your side, for trying to keep you for just a moment longer. It was barely enough time to utter a proper goodbye. You were gone, just as abruptly as you had arrived.
If you had not given him so much of your precious time, what would he recount and reminisce over now that you're gone? What memories would sustain him until he reaches the end of time?
All he could do was continue living, witnessing, waiting, just as he did the first Creator. Perhaps one day you'd return to him. Perhaps you wouldn't, and yet again, it'd only be a stranger. Perhaps he'd tell them about you, just as he told you about the one that came before you.
His heart would constrict painfully at the thought and he would momentarily lose the ability to breathe just like when you would tighten the choker around his neck. He often found himself absent-mindedly toying with the collar. It remained snugly around his neck like he promised you. It was such a simple request, demanded so casually of him. To you, it might’ve been a joke. Perhaps you had long forgotten about that silk choker you picked out for him. Maybe you had forgotten about him altogether, along with this place called Teyvat. But he couldn't. Even after you had long departed from Teyvat, he had never taken it off. A few times he had to reinforce it with adeptal arts in order to keep it from disintegrating into dust over time. He couldn't possibly allow such a precious gift from you part from him out of carelessness. It was all he had left to remind him of the brief time you spent with him.
He couldn't quite place why of all the memories you had planted in him, those of nearly suffocating by the choker in your hand had seared themselves deepest. Was it because those were the rare moments he felt the sweet release of death was nearly within his grasp? Thinking of you instilled a similar sensation, but it was never the same as when you inflicted him with it. As someone who had lived for so long, who had orchestrated his own death and staged his own funeral, it was a strange obsession to have.
For those who live too long, the faces of those who have come and gone continue to haunt their memories. Even so, he never regretted meeting you, loving you, and eventually losing you. Should the day ever come that he forgets you, or the collar you gifted him finally turns to dust, he only hoped that your memories of him would continue to glimmer like gold.

If you can write for Kenan yildiz where he gets jealous because you’re friends with your ex
PS I like your work and I hope you have a good day😌🫶🏼
Ugh, love this! 😩
SEVEN DAYS OF REQUESTS 2.0
(DAY 5)
Kenan Yildiz x Reader - The Perks Part 1/2
+18
Part 2
Tumblr media
Enjoy!
You stared at the invitation in your hand, feeling your heart sinking into the depths of the school grounds. "Marco, what is this?"
He stood before you with a cheap smile and box of chocolates in his hands. "Don't play dumb Y/N, it's an invitation to prom, what else?"
"Why are you inviting me to prom when you know that I have a boyfriend?"
"Who, Kenan?" Marco laughed. It was hard to believe that you used date him once. Marco was technically your ex boyfriend, but sharing the same friend group made it nearly impossible for you to avoid him.
"Be real Y/N, Kenan is not coming to Prom. Juventus has a game on Saturday."
"He might make it." You hissed. Although you knew how important Juventus game against Napoli was. The perks of dating a professional football player.
Kenan wasn't like any other guy though. He was muture and very determined about his sport. You met him through family connections, and what started out as an innocent friendship quickly turned into something more. Kenan however, never finished high school. A tradition like prom probably had little significance to him.
"Okay, let's say he does make it...." Marco explained, "Don't you think it will ruin everything?"
"How so?"
"Well, you'll never get any time for yourself, let alone on the dance floor. People, especially the girls, are going to flock after him like wild chickens, meaning the two of you won't have a moment for yourself. Is that really what you want your biggest night in high school to be like?"
You thought about it and remembered the last time Kenan came to visit your school. Along with your parents, he came to watch your performance with the school orchestra. However, all hell had broken lose, with even faculty members jumping Kenan, asking him to sign their belongings. Where you came from in Italy everyone was a fan of Juventus. It was as simple as that.
"Fine." You nodded. "I'll be your date to the prom."
"Yes." Marco punshed the air with his fist.
"But don't get it twisted, we're only going as friends."
"And we'll have a great time together."
You rolled your eyes, accepting the chocolates that were handed to you.
"See you Saturday beautiful." Marco blew you a kiss before running off. He was such a kid. But he did have a point about taking you to prom. Question was, how would your boyfriend feel about it?
Instead of going home that afternoon you went straight to Kenan's house. However, his car wasn't in the driveway when you arrived, meaning he had yet returned home from training. Instead you were greeted by the maid, Rita, who made you a snack as you waited.
After a long day of school you ended up falling asleep on Kenan's couch, only to be woken up by wett kisses serenading your face.
"Stop it." You muttered.
A chuckle. "Why? You look so cute when you sleep."
"Kenan?" Your eyes flung open.
He smiled down at you. "I didn't know that you were coming over. I would've picked up some food on my way here."
"No need." You sat up, rubbing your tired eyes. "Rita made me your favorite..."
"Kisir?"
"It was delicious."
"You little..."
Kenan threw himself over the couch. You were pinned down with your arms above your head as his weight fell on top of you.
"Say you're sorry."
"No."
"Say your sorry for eating my Kisir."
"Never."
You squealed as lips targeted your neck, searching for your tickle spot.
"Kenan."
"Say your sorry."
He continued to trace the kisses downwards, one had letting go of your pinned arms.
"Kenan, please." You giggled. Your laughter quickly turned to soft moans as Kenan's free hand slipped down your skirt, snaking it's way between your  trembling thighs.
"Kenan."
"Relax." He whispered. "I'll make you feel good baby."
Although it felt good, really good. It was not what you came here for.
"Kenan, we need to talk."
It was the panic in your voice that made him stop. He sat up, cheeks flushed. "Did I do something wrong?"
"No!" You pushed off your elbows. "Of course not, no."
"T...then why did you want me to stop?" The worry in his eyes was heartbreaking.
"Beacause..." You sighed, never having imagine how hard it would be to confess to him. "I have something to tell tell you. It's the reason why I'm here, not to..."
A moment of clearity appeared on his face. "Right..." He coughed. "Shoot...I guess."
He sat back on the couch, stretching for your legs to rest in his lap. "What would you like to tell me?"
"Well..." Where to begin? "I told you that my high school prom is coming up...."
"The party?"
"Yes, the party." You nodded. "With all of my classmates.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Sounds like fun."
"And it's gonna be. It's just that..." You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. "...Marco asked me to be his date and I said yes."
"Marco, as in your ex boyfriend Marco?"
"Yes, Marco Lazzarini."
"Okay, but why would you want to go to prom with that fool?"
"Kenan."
"He is though, a fool. You told me so yourself."
"Yes, but he's also one of my closest friends, ergo, I'm going to prom with my friend."
"Your ex boy-friend."
You legs fell as Kenan stood. He was clearly upset.
"Kenan, you know I would've asked you to go with me."
"So why didn't you?"
"What do you mean, Juventus is playing Napoli on Saturday, remember?"
He stiffened. "It's this Saturday?"
"Yes." You sighed, finally getting your point across."
"S...so you're only going with Marco because I'm not able to?"
You nodded. "That and other things?"
"Other things?"
You thought about what Marco said, how Kenan coming to Prom would ruin things.
"It's better this way." You nodded. "People would have bothered us if you came with me to prom."
Kenan frowned. "So that's it? I'm a burden to you?"
"What, no."
"Sounds like it."
"What, no Kenan? That's not what I meant and you know that."
"That's what it sounded like to me."
"Kenan, you got it all wrong."
He shook his head. "Nah, if you want to go to prom, go. I hope you and Marco Lazzarini have a great time together."
"Kenan?" His gaze, his tone. It was all spiteful.
"You heard me Y/N, go! I have to rest anyway. "
It felt like a shot to the head. You stood from the couch, your body trembling like noodles. You left Kenan's house with a lump in your throat soon replaced by hushed sobbing as you made your way home.

♥️Reveling in Richonne - TOWL
#61: The Happy Ending (1.06)
Tumblr media
The Grimes family is reunited.😭🙌🏽
That's it. That's the intro. 😋 Because we just gotta dive right in and break this super rewarding and moving Grimes family reunion all the way down. It's everything. 🥹...
First off - The way we WIN.
Tumblr media
After so many years, we really got to witness our babies get their happily ever after with their babies. They won. We won. 🎉😭
And the biggest reason I say we win is because something that we love lives. Richonne's story has been able to live to its fullest potential and in the most captivating and fulfilling way. From the iconic start in TWD to this impactful conclusion in TOWL. 🙌🏽
When working on these TOWL revelings, I tried to have the majority of them written and ready before I even started sharing the posts in July to ensure I’d deliver on my promise and follow through to the end. These final Grimes Family reunion posts are the only ones I put off writing for a while because, as far as we know, this is it. 🥲 The last page we get to see of Richonne’s beautiful years-long story. The last new Richonne scenes to break down and revel in.
Since TOWL was announced as a 6-episode miniseries, I’m currently approaching this final scene as the official conclusion of Richonne's story. I know Andy, Danai, and Scott haven't outright said they're never reprising these roles, and the more I hear their answers to the questions about a return, a part of me thinks they know they're coming back in some capacity, be it a cameo or more, and already have an existing contract perhaps, which is why they can't 'spoil' anything by confirming or denying a return.
The way I view it - if Richonne makes another appearance, I'm absolutely seated and celebratory. And if they don't, I'm absolutely satisfied and grateful for what we got. As the gift that keeps on giving, they've already given us over 10 years of golden Richonne content, and this Grimes Family 2.0 reunion put a lovely bow on top of this gift. 💝 It was truly a beautiful and fitting conclusion to their story. And most of all I want the Grimes Family to get to live happily and at peace together, so I'm more than elated with how Richonne's story comes to a close here. 😇
So, as the broadcast announces “A historic day to begin a new chapter for the Republic” - which of course Rick and Michonne Grimes would be the ones capable of bringing about a fresh, historic, and thriving new chapter for a whole city of thousands - we see a glimpse of Judith sitting beside her walkie. And then I love hearing Michonne on the other end say, “Shoto, it’s Daito.” 🥹
Tumblr media
Ahhhhhhh the Grimes family reunion was happening! 🥳🥳🥳 And I'm so glad it's with the original actors too. 😭🙌🏽
I remember there was a period when some were a bit worried that Richonne wouldn't reunite with their kids in TOWL. For me, I felt so sure it was gonna happen because that was the only way Michonne and Rick would feel their mission was successful. And I love how it gets confirmed that they’ll be seeing the kids as soon as we see this walkie-talkie moment.
...Even tho for some of us, the Grimes family reunion was basically confirmed a little earlier, when a certain two illustrious actors filmed a trip down memory lane in Senoia, Georgia. 🤭
Our lovely captains have a sweet little exchange during that great memory lane special that clued me in on what to expect. There's a part where Danai is talking about Judith and RJ and how she loved seeing Judith with the mini sword on her back. Then, as others also picked up on, Danai said something to Andy about how now Cailey has nearly outgrown the sword, and she seemed to think Andy could co-sign that she has. And that had my extra self’s ears perking up. 😋
Because Andy had been having to work double time to recall some TWD scenes he was actually a part of during this trip down memory lane - so I said to myself - Self, it is highly unlikely that he knows if Cailey, who he never had scenes with, is now outgrowing the sword…unless he’s already filmed a scene with her wearing the sword. 😏
Tumblr media
gif cred: @nerd4music
So yeah, after that I was no longer even 1% unsure if Richonne would have their family reunion. It was happening. 💯 And the way it happened is Love personified. 👏🏽💗
It had to be such a euphoric moment for Judith to finally, after over a year, hear her mom on the other end of that walkie that she said she'd always keep with her. And it had to be euphoric for Michonne to no longer get static but finally get her baby girl on the other end. 🥹
I remember it was emotional watching Michonne and Judith's final walkie-talkie conversation in TWD, especially knowing they'd eventually fall out of range. And so it was a great feeling to see their walkies finally make a connection again.
Tumblr media
I like the way it’s shot with the walkie on the steps and Rick’s holster and gun on Judith’s hip. Again, Michonne summed it up perfectly when she said Judith is her and Rick. And it’s sweet seeing Judith immediately grab the walkie when she hears her mom’s voice.
Also knowing Michonne was able to reach Judith on the walkie, I think this would definitely imply that Rick was able to talk to or at least hear Judith before they see each other in person. I’d be so curious what that very first exchange over the walkies was like between Michonne, Judith, and Rick. I'd imagine it was quite emotional for Rick to hear Judith's voice on the other end for the first time. 🥲
So then there’s the return of Rick’s battle-tested cowboy boots as he steps off the helicopter. And I really like the way it’s shot as we just see his feet first and then Michonne’s feet join him. It feels like yet another way to illustrate and celebrate that Rick is no longer alone. The love of his life found him and now they really will be by each other's side for pretty much all things going forward.
Tumblr media
gif cred: @taiturner
As TV's greatest husband and wife step off the helicopter, we get to see Rick and Michonne more fully and I adore that they’re holding hands. 🥰 They always look so married. And as has been established, holding hands is one of Richonne's favorite things.
And then you know we gotta take a moment for Michonne’s outfit 🔥🔥🔥. Cutest outfit she’s ever worn. 👏🏽 I LOVE it. 🤩
Tumblr media
gif cred: @alwaysthequietones
It’s great how they chose something that feels both fresh but also so true to Michonne for her final outfit and it just feels like she’s again getting to return to herself through the clothing. A fashion It Girl, through and through. 💅🏽
Michonne stayed proving an apocalypse does not have to stop you from stylishly color-coordinating and accessorizing. And I love the cowrie shells being back in her hair too. One of the last times she wore cowrie shells - a symbol of fertility - RJ arrived shortly after. So of course seeing the shells in this finale had my Richonne baby fever activated. 😋 It’s also great she got her katana back as well. That sword will always find its way back to its Mama Michonne. 👌🏽
And I of course also love that Michonne and Rick are wearing matching colors. A signature Richonne thing to the end. 😌 And Rick and Michonne matching in that tan color is great because the color scheme is giving "Must've been something else then." 😊
Tumblr media
Then, I think it’s such a touching and well-acted moment when, before we even see the kids, we can tell that Richonne has spotted their kids from the way they react. 😭
Something about the way Michonne holds Rick's hand and then runs to her babies just feels like such a wife and mother and it’s so sweet. Like if you showed this running clip out of context to someone unfamiliar with the show, I feel they'd immediately be able to tell that who Michonne and Rick are running to is their children.
I love how Michonne drops her bag and just immediately runs to the kids. And then it’s precious that Rick sees his children for the first time and drops his bag as he eagerly runs to them as well. Goodness, this whole thing is just heartwarming x10, I can’t. 🫠
Tumblr media
gif cred: @nat111love
And it gets extra heartwarming when we see Judith and RJ for the first time, sprinting to their parents with the biggest smiles on their faces. 😭😭😭 Richonne's babies are here. 🥹
Tumblr media
gif cred: @alwaysthequietones
The way I rejoiced seeing the adorable Grimes kids running the first time I watched. 🙌🏽 I love seeing how ecstatic they are and the way Judith looks back at her little brother as they run. A true big sister. And of course, I adore that Judith is wearing the sword like her mom and her gun in her holster like her dad and that RJ is wearing his dad's signature Sherriff hat and dressed like little Carl. It’s all so perfect. 🥹
And for me, watching this scene would be the hardest Try Not To Tear Up challenge yet, because the way Judith and RJ smile and run into Michonne’s arms, and the three embrace - My heart bursts. 😭❤️‍🩹
Tumblr media
gif cred: @riickgrimes
They all hold so tightly to each other and it’s precious. For a long while, the only Grimes family Judith and RJ had been used to was just the three of them. So it’s really sweet that the three of them have a moment to reunite after missing each other for so long. RJ's smile and Judith's face when she hugs her mom always makes me want to cry.
Tumblr media
gif cred: @nat111love
(Side note: There are people out there who ignorantly discredit and downplay Judith and Michonne’s mother/daughter relationship and that will forever be foolish to me (though sadly not surprising 😪). Judith has only ever known life with Michonne, and Michonne has been raising Judith since before she could walk. Their mom/daughter status cannot be denied. Interestingly, Judith is the one Grimes kid who has only ever known life with both Rick and Michonne. Carl was old enough to recall when Michonne entered his life. RJ is old enough to recall when Rick entered his life. But Judith doesn’t recall when either entered her life because her parents have been raising her since she was in diapers. They’re the only mom and dad she’s ever recognized. Yes, Judith knows Michonne didn’t birth her but that’s not the only qualification one needs to be a mom. In every other way, Michonne has been Judith’s mom for as long as she can remember. So when Judith looks at Michonne it’s clear she sees her mom, not 'the woman who looks after her', not her 'play mom' - her mom. 👌🏽)
I love that Michonne gets her own moment to reunite with her kids and that they let that moment breathe. Michonne is the anchor to this reunion as they all look to her as the connecting piece of this family right now. It’s realistic for the kids to take their time greeting Michonne because that’s the only parent they really know.
And just like Rick and Michonne had to do a lot of sacrificing on this journey, so did Judith and RJ.
These kids sacrificed valuable time with their mom so that she could go bring their dad back home. So I love that they get to have a moment of being just so elated to be back in their mom’s arms.
Rick stands in the back of the shot, as he anxiously awaits greeting his kids. I know Rick appreciated seeing this moment between the three and immediately seeing that his kids love and view Michonne just as highly as he does. He got yet another reminder that he chose the perfect woman to be the mother of his kids seeing the way his babies beamed and ran in Michonne's arms. 😊
Tumblr media
gif cred: @riickgrimes
And then it is again so precious when Michonne and the kids look at each other and whisper "Hi" and just again have these joyous smiles on their faces.
Tumblr media
gif cred: @riickgrimes
RJ’s quiet little ‘hi,’ 🥹 Michonne asking how they’re doing and acknowledging they’ve got so big since she last saw them, 🥹 the way they can’t help but smile and laugh, 🥹 and then when Michonne and Judith put their heads together. 🥹 I love every second.
Tumblr media
gif cred: @riickgrimes
Michonne finally gets to hold the two who fueled her to keep going even in the moments during this TOWL journey where it felt like all was lost. She was not going to let her kids down and she was going to ensure she made it back to them. And Judith and RJ knew their mom would make it back to them too, no matter how long it took.
I also love seeing Michonne’s M bracelet in the shot. Again, she really came back adorned with gifts from her husband because Rick loves her the way a cherished wife should be loved. And of all the gifts Rick has given Michonne, we know she cherishes most the gift of their children. 💛
Tumblr media
gif cred: @riickgrimes
It really is beautiful how we went from Michonne telling Carl one kid was enough for her to her now having four kids (…and counting possibly). And I love the way it's visible how Michonne's soul just lights up so brightly as she holds her kids in her arms.
So as the three embrace, Rick stands back and watches his beautiful family. And the way Rick is looking at them, it’s clear this is all so surreal for him.
It makes sense that Rick would hang back for the reunion as Michonne has a moment with their kids. It reminds me of how on Carl’s last day, Rick approached it like he understood Michonne and Carl needed their time together as a mother and son because he knew he was losing his son and Michonne was too. Also, it's evident during this reunion that Rick wants to be mindful of whatever contact Judith and RJ want with him.
So Judith gives one more smile over at her brother and mom, as Michonne adorably lifts up RJ’s hat and embraces her baby boy, who is not such a baby anymore, saying, “Hi there.”
And then Judith turns to Rick with a smile. As they look at each other, Judith becomes emotional and starts to cry. She walks to Rick and finally, after all this time, gets to embrace her dad. 🥹
Tumblr media
gif cred: @twdfranchise
Y’all, there is a reason I put off writing these reunion posts for so long. 😭 This entire scene between these four makes me emotional for so many reasons.
I think it’s so sweet that Rick is letting his kids set the tone for how they want to interact with him in this scene. You know if it were up to him, he’d probably be bawling and pulling them into an embrace, but he also knows that he’s in some ways a stranger to them now. So the thoughtful way Andy plays it, I love that it’s clear Rick wants to let the kids decide what they’re comfortable with. And the second Rick knows they want to hug him, he so tenderly and lovingly hugs them back. 🥹
Tumblr media
gif cred: @twdfranchise
The way he hugs Judith, you see how layered this moment is for Rick because he’s so happy to be back with his daughter and also sad to see just how much he’s missed as she’s done a lot of growing up in his absence.
Plus, during his time with the CRM, Rick had to devastatingly accept that he may never see Judith again and even tried to convince himself that maybe she'd be safer if he didn't come home to her and protected her from afar. I feel like hugging Judith right now, Rick probably feels so overcome with emotion knowing that he's actually getting to hold his daughter after thinking he'd never get this chance again.
Hearing Judith cry as she hugs him and seeing the fatherly way Rick holds her head and tries to hold it together while clearly feeling so many emotions. I cannot. ❤️‍🩹 My heart is moved during each part of this Grimes family reunion.
While still hugging him, Judith emotionally says, “I knew it, Dad. I knew you were still out there.” It’s so sweet that this is the first thing she says and that Rick gets to hear that Judith never lost her hope that Rick was alive.
Tumblr media
gif cred: @twdfranchise
While Rick came close to ending it a few times during his years away, he managed to stay another day and then another after that and another after that, and I like to think that day by day he was somehow subconsciously being fueled by his wife and kids belief in him. They believed he was still out there and that energy helped keep him here long enough to now be back with them again.
I also love how no one ever came and took Rick’s place in his family’s life because these three Grimes were always believing Rick was still out there. Judith held onto this faith that her dad was alive even when the odds of Rick being alive seemed low. It feels like Michonne modeled that example to her of continuing to believe. And their belief was worth the wait. 🥹
And then Judith looks up at Rick and says, "I just never wanted you to feel alone.” It moves me so much that while Rick was afar hoping Judith was okay, he now gets to know that his daughter had been hoping he was okay too. 🥲
Tumblr media
gif cred: @twdfranchise
As a big sister myself, I just gotta say Cailey plays the big sister role so well. Especially when you’re the family-oriented and responsible big sister, you always just want to make sure everyone is okay. Your younger siblings, your parents, aunts, uncles, everybody. And I love that Judith’s big thing was wanting to be sure her dad never felt alone. That’s so caring. 😭
I also feel like her saying this is her reiterating why she encouraged her mom to go after Rick. On the walkies in Michonne's last full TWD episode, Judith told Michonne, "What if he's trying to come home too, but no one will help?" And she was spot on with that prediction. In TOWL ep 3, Rick even verbalized to Michonne that he had asked for help, but he didn't get it.
So even though it made Judith really sad to be away from her mom, she knew Rick might be alone and in need of Michonne's help even more. Never wanting her dad to feel alone was among the many reasons Judith urged Michonne to go get him.
Tumblr media
And another thing that's poetic to me is that Judith is such a pivotal character in getting Rick and Michonne to meet the way they did. Had Glenn and Maggie not gone out to the store to get Judith's formula, Michonne wouldn't have run into them and brought the formula to the prison for her future daughter. Also, even the very night Rick and Michonne became an official romantic couple in 6.10, their couch moment began with smiling over Judith on the baby monitor.
Since she was born, Judith has helped ensure her dad didn't feel alone because her very existence played a part in Rick finding his ultimate life partner and soulmate, Michonne.
So next, Rick says his first words to Judith in years when he looks at her and says, “I thought I was..."
I like that he's honest about how he did think he was alone at first. There definitely was a time when Rick was confronted with the depths of loneliness within the CRM.

Rick continues, "Then I realized..." and I love that he looks over at Michonne as he says this. And the way Michonne holds RJ while smiling at Rick and Judith interacting again for the first time in years. 🥲
All those years in TWD, Michonne saw how much Rick loved Judith, and so it clearly means a lot to her to see Rick face to face with their daughter again. Rick and Michonne both just seem so present and grateful for this moment as parents.

Rick looks over at Michonne, knowing how instrumental his wife was in both his daughter being who she is today and in helping him realize what he says next - "I wasn’t.” 🥹
Tumblr media
It’s really nice to see that Rick realized he was never alone because he always had his family.
When Rick tells Judith that he realized he wasn’t alone, Judith gets to hear Rick essentially say he realized her own little mantra that she wrote on her family drawing, “My family is always with me.”
Tumblr media
Judith and Rick both know the sadness of losing your loved ones' memory, but I’m so glad they now have each other back to affirm that while the memory can seem lost, it can always be found again.

Also the way Rick says this line with such a tender tone and tears in his eyes and then he looks at Judith with a smile and blinks probably still trying to comprehend that this little lady in front of him is the daughter he last saw as a toddler. 😭
Tumblr media

And then Judith cries again as she leans in and hugs Rick and I’m a puddle of tears inside. Like when you think about how hard Rick fought for his daughter all those years on TWD, it’s just so special to now see him get to hold her and already get a glimpse of the great loving person she’s turned out to be.
I know Judith is about to feel so loved and protected by this great dad, and I love thinking about how they’ll now get to reestablish their bond and just have the best father-daughter relationship.
It hit me that years ago, we got to see the very first time both Rick and Michonne ever held baby Judith and how it was a big moment for both of them. While she stirred up painful memories from their past, Judith was also this little bundle of hope for the future in their arms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then in this TOWL finale, we beautifully got to see Rick and Michonne hold Judith in their embrace one more time. 🥹
Michonne reuniting with her son and daughter and Rick reuniting with his baby girl were such golden TOWL moments.
With these touching exchanges, the Grimes Family reunions had all occurred. And now it was time for the big Grimes Family introduction. It was time for Rick to finally meet Rick. 😭
So we gotta bring it on home now and talk about the special, heartfelt, and rewarding final moment of The Ones Who Live. 🥰👌🏽

Demoman is one of the characters in the fandom I feel most people straight up ignore or don't know how to write. Blunt, sure, but I do stand by it. Demoman is such a fascinating, intriguing character with the most fleshed-out backstories, yet is oftentimes relegated to being Soldier 2.0, only now with poorly written phonetics.
In other words, hey! I'm a fanfic writer who has a ton of opinions as well as a neurotic need to analyze every character they come into contact with. Pleased to see you're reading this. I've already done a little doohickey essay like this with Medic a while back. The purpose of these long rambles is half of me combing through every instance of the character and pulling them apart to see how their character works...and also me not-so-subtly venting and complaining about mischaracterization. Shocking how a fandom where the main characters are all very clear-cut stereotypes with some slight subversions here and there can't seem to get them.
This essay will go through Demo's beginning and all the way to his latest appearance in the 6th comic. I'll touch on how his character shifts and is expanded upon. I doubt he changes as much as Medic has over the years, but I think it will be interesting to see. I'll just go over bits of characterization, try to rationalize it, and then try my best to sum up all of the traits by the end and try to describe his character in the most canon-compliant way.
With that preamble out of the way, let's begin. This is also 7k words btw just...be aware of that, okay?
Before we actually get into proper character stuff, I wanna lay the groundwork first by exploring the types of characterization I see from Demo. Pick them apart. See what they're really like.
So, of course, there's the popular Redditor opinion of Demo that's mainly shaped by the way people play him in the game. There, people will describe Demo as being generally a bumbling drunkard. It's not too uncommon to see people say that he's an angry drunk. A man who is more concerned with alcohol and drinking himself into a stupor than anything else. I've also seen people say that Demo straight up can't read, which...euhhhhggg. He feels more like an alternative version of Soldier at times, which, again, isn't accurate to his character.
I don't care at all for this characterization. I do think a good chunk is rooted in racism and it's generally very uncomfortable for me to look at for too long. This characterization is pretty shallow and empty, which makes for a boring and offensive caricature. Reddit moment.
The second one is more interesting and the version you'll see more on Tumblr. It's this...odd version of him. I can't exactly put my tongue on what is off about it. It seems more accurate to his character. He's a foil for Soldier a lot of the time (Boots n' Bombs is his most popular ship let's be real) and generally isn't exactly seen on his own. Sure yeah there's the oddball art of him and him only, but let's be real most of his tag is mainly just him being in the background or saying a jokey-joke.
I actually fell back into Ao3 for a bit to skim over some fics to see what kind of characterization there was of Demo there to refresh my memory, and some of the common throughlines was shockingly that he doesn't drink a lot. "He rarely drinks!" I remember reading once. That's not right, no. He's an alcoholic. Like that's a core part of his character. Another fic had him being called "Cyclops" as a pet name. Ew. Anywho, other than that it's Demo being pretty into cryptids, having the Eyelander as a buddy guy, etc and etc. It's fun, but also it's missing...something.
Then, it hit me: Demo rarely is seen as an individual. He reminds me of Heavy in that regard, where most of his appearances have him be the straight-man to another character. Most of the time he's secondary and just a folly for the other characters. It's disappointing in that regard. Like you see a lot more stuff for characters like Scout, Medic, etc and etc with their own unique characterization stuff and getting their own attention.
So...then what is Demoman's character, exactly? Well, that's what we're here to see. It'll be pretty interesting, no?
----
So, funny thing is that Demo didn't change nearly as much as Medic has over the years. Sure yeah, the concept art of Demo was more of the generic stereotypical Scotsman. White, ginger, sideburns, that whole thing. Cartoony and fun design, but eventually they went with the Demo we all know and love today.
Looking at the concept art, it all seems pretty standard for the tone that Invasion was going for at the time. Nothing really to note there other than Demo's face being a stock angry grr grr expression. It is interesting to see how the idea of him wearing an eye was a constant even from the beginning though.
This then brings us to the voicelines. Ahh, good ol' characterization. Demo here is characterized as being jovial and having fun. He's throwing out insults left and right, damning them to hell and laughing at them as they die. Usual typical mercenary stuff. This is just personal headcanon material, but I always rationalize the way the mercs act on the battlefield as being a result from adrenaline and generally being drunk on blood. They aren't as mean when off the clock, but it's worth noting that these are how these characters act when a gun's in their hands and they're exploding people left and right.
TF2 really likes basing the characters off of the class they play as and how they act. Scout is fast moving and his gameplay is oftentimes getting right in someone's face and bolting, which is reflective in his hotshot personality. It's only reasonable that Demo is an explosive, fun, and generally cocky guy when out and battling. He's lobbing grenades and sticky bombs left and right. He isn't afraid to yell to the Medic he just blew up that he's been shagging his wife and calling the Scout he just chopped the head off "twinkle-toes". He teases and such when it comes to the other team.
Tumblr media
However, the voicelines also very curiously give us a really fascinating look into his character. He's an alcoholic. He loves his scrumpy, which is not whiskey, shockingly. I thought it was whiskey for the longest time, but no! It's a cider! His stock melee is the bottle he uses to drink, now turning it into a quick weapon. His model in the main menu is him holding up the bottle itself. His default melee taunt is him taking a swig from the scrumpy bottle. It's a core part of his identity, let's be real. It's a part of the whole Scottish stereotype he has going on.
The game of course follows this. There's a lot of lines where he's slurring and babbling in a cartoony drunken way. A good portion of it is just him making vague threats...but a lot of it is also sad. He calls himself a one-eyed bloody monster. He weeps and cries. When jeering, he says he's hit rock bottom here. Interesting new development.
Apologizes for pausing to ramble, but I don't get why people try and sand down the edges to Demoman's character by making him out as though he isn't an addict. He is. That's something that is made abundantly clear. The iconography of alcohol follows him like his own damn shadow. I dunno. It bothers me.
I digress. There's some other bonus stuff I think is quite interesting. Most of his battle charges involve the other team. "Let's gettem lads!" and all. I think it's neat how he views his teammates as just that. Teammates. Those he fights alongside with. Another thing of note is how he occasionally has lines that are...odd in a way. Poetic and dramatic. Something that subverts the typical characterization. When he loses at rock paper scissors, there's a chance he'll say "Oh, 'tis a dark day", which. well then okay buddy.
So to recap: for characterization in-game, Demo is an alcoholic Scotsman who is generally pretty witty and functioning despite the incredible amounts of booze he drinks. He is energetic, bombastic, and generally hearty and having fun. He's not taking things terribly seriously and is generally just going about and blowing stuff up. However, there is a very noticeable streak of sadness to his character. When drinking, he reveals undertones of self-deprecation and hatred. Why? How?
...well, you just need to take a gander at his character card.
Tumblr media
Erm excuse me what the fuck.
I honestly do not understand the logic behind this backstory. Like in a practical sense. Like, yeah!! obviously this backstory is sad and such! I really actually like this backstory and honestly I love writing him in the context that this happened to him. It's just that...I can't wrap my head around the idea of this being Demo's backstory given that everyone else has pretty silly little blurbs here. I think the darkest it gets is Soldier going to Germany years after WWII ended to kill people.
This??? Sure yeah TF2 gets a lot sillier and more cartoony comedic as time goes on, but even with the current tone where is the funny? I ain't complaining, I love me my angst, but this is so jarring to see. I suppose that explains why they retcon it later, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
Hey, at least it gives us an explanation to why Demo is sad. We can pretty easily gleam a reason for his current behaviour in the game from this: his messed up childhood. To begin, Tavish Finnegan DeGroot was abandoned by his parents and left to live in an orphanage. Eventually, he was adopted and brought up by some foster parents, who he then murdered in an attempt to blow up the Loch Ness monster. This was when he was six years old. Actual child.
He then went back into the orphanage, where he would tinker with bombs. Why? Insert whatever headcanon here, but for me I think it's a feeling of fascination, yet also heavy guilt. Perhaps revenge. Either way, he loses his eye from these experiments. Eventually however, he's brought back into the family when word spreads of his excellence when it comes to manufacturing bombs. The use of the word "lovingly" feels exceptionally sarcastic, but that could be in part to how his parents are later characterized. Either way, this is a result of the DeGroot tradition, which, and I quote, is wholly unnecessary and cruel. It even cites it as him being reintroduced into his family as the "end of his unhappy childhood".
...so yeah. Pretty safe to say the reason for his alcoholism is to cope with that. He feels the guilt over that and will breakdown into sobs over it even. Yikeesss... It can also mean that he feels as though he's held up to incredibly high expectations, having the entire DeGroot family lineage to live up to. Again, later on he's being nagged at for not being as hard-working as his father, who, in good ol' TF2 fashion, blew up the Queen for a nickel. It does certainly feel that way, no?
So this introduces a new wrinkle to Demoman's current characterization: he's an alcoholic who is happy and has an upbeat and fun personality (at least on the battlefield), but underneath it he's hurting and feels ashamed of who he is. He drinks to cope and manage it, yet it only seems to exasperate problems at times.
Can I safely say that Demo is the merc with the most fascinating and intriguing backstory and personality thus far? Sure yeah I love Engie a lot as well, but Demo's character actually feels like it is a result of the backstory written for him. Like all of the other mercs sure you can go on and on about stuff with them, like Scout and Spy and their whole deal, Sniper and his parents, everything with Heavy, etc. Demo?? Right off the bat there's something to chew on in terms of actual character writing.
What an interesting character! I sure hope later installations of the story will follow through on this and give him ample screentime!
Anywho, time for the Meet the Demo video. Again, a departure from the Meet the Medic video and how I rambled on and on about that one, but it was mainly due to MtM being something to mark a drastic shift in Medic's character from serious and angry to more silly and mad scientist-esque. Meet the Demo, due to it being one of the Meet the Team videos made so early on, doesn't really get the benefit of a short with a story, but I digress.
This one is stylized more like an interview, which, in canon, means he's telling this all to The Director and all. It opens with the title screen before the horns section seep in, cutting to a clip of Demo running while explosions go off behind him. A freeze frame cut before a voice-over of Demo comes on with the iconic line "What makes me a good Demoman? If I were a bad Demoman, I wouldn't be here discussing it with you, now would I!?"
Okay so just more confirmation and all of Demo's personality in-game. According to his bio, he has a short temper and all, which could explain him getting louder when asked that question. I don't think it's a joke or him exaggerating, since he seems genuinely pretty upset by the suggestion. He would have to be good at his job in order to be telling you this, yeah? Why even bother asking? It's an interesting bit of characterization that somewhat expands on that short temper.
More generic footage of him running about while explosions go off before coming back to the interview of him explaining a bomb in its simplest form. "One crossed wire, a wayward pinch of potassium chlorate, one errant twitch... and kablewie!!" Seems like filler dialogue, but I always like taking note of the fact he uses the chemical compound term as opposed to something more colloquial. It's just headcanons, but I really enjoy thinking that Demo is pretty damn smart and really gifted when it comes to making bombs and general chemistry. It's a clear passion and love of his and I like touching on it when I can.
The next couple seconds are shots between him taking a good swig of his scrumpy and then blowing up a level three sentry. It's just showing off his capabilities as a class. Nothing special (other than being cool and showing he's competent at his job). The real interesting part is his breakdown where he's on the verge of tears, exasperatingly telling the camera that he's...off. He knows it. There's not too many black Scotsmen, especially ones with a busted eye. "They've got more fucking sea monsters in the great Loch Ness than they got the likes of me" he says.
But, he perks up! He talks over a clip of him baiting a group of BLU mercs into a sticky trap. The voiceover is also really fascinating here. The way Demo talks reminds me something out of an Aesop fable. It's a very curious and fascinating way of talking. I wish this bit of characterization stuck around since it's pretty fun. "Come and get me I say! I'll be waiting on ya with a whiff of the ol' brimstone. I'm a grim bloody fable...with an unhappy bloody end!" is really cool.
The video ends with him taunting the mangled corpses followed by a rendition of the main theme with bagpipes. I should probably also mention Drunken Pipe Bomb, his theme song. It's an upbeat and fun piece with a mixture of the typical TF2 sounds (funky jazzy drums and bass guitar) as well as a Celtic flair, what with bagpipes, whistles, etc and etc. There's also a kickass surf rock section. It's quite the battle theme and definitely reflects a lot of Demo's character as being an energetic, explosive type of character who is proud of his Scottish roots.
So that's pretty much it for SFM bits for now. How about we take a step back and look at the first-ever actual TF2 comic: WAR!, where Demo really gets a big break for his characterization. We don't care about the Saxton Hale or Jarate ones. WAR! my beloved...
But first, the actual WAR! update. It was the sixth major content update released back in 2009. Remember when this game got actual content updates? Me neither. The update was based around the rivalry between the RED Demo and the BLU Soldier to excuse why they were adding new items for the both of them, with Soldier in the end winning the little contest and getting the Gunboats.
For canon lore, the update serves to introduce the idea that the RED Demo and BLU Soldier had a comradery at first. Friends! Interesting piece of characterization to have Demo explicitly go against RED and become friends with Soldier. The two of them do bounce off of each other quite well when they're paired up, I will say. They're both heavy-hitters in terms of gameplay and their personalities are quite loud at times.
For added voicelines, there's a bunch of the Administrator denouncing their friendship as well as domination lines for both Solly and Demo whenever they kill each other. Demo pretends he hates Soldier, but asks if he's okay, tells him that he loves him, and generally is like "but we're still friends though, aye? :]" He does care a lot about their friendship, which is pretty sweet and cute. Sure hope that lasts.
Tumblr media
In the WAR! comic, we see Demo in a mansion. He's loaded! It's also confirmation that the mercs are given quite a lot of money, but apparently not enough for Demo's mother. She's nagging him about not working and saying that he should be ashamed for being so lazy, to which he rebuttals, saying he has three jobs and has made millions annually. Apparently not enough for his mother, since Demo's father worked twenty-six jobs.
She also brings up an interesting piece of information. "No demoman worth his sulfur ever had an eye in his head past thirty!" which implies that missing an eye is a family tradition to lose your eyes when working this job. Would this also imply that Demo is not thirty by this point, since he still has the one eye? Eh, whatever.
Demo taking care of his mom in this old, nagging state is pretty neat characterization, as well as him holding down two other jobs besides mercenary work for RED. He's very capable and talented! He's also extremely caring and sweet. Even when his mum is complaining and griping about him not living up to his father, he gets her tea and takes care of her. He does respond with a lot of "I know mum" when it comes to that. He's heard it all before. She keeps saying the same stuff. I like thinking he knows fully well he can't live up to the extreme work ethic his father had or truly impress his parents and is pretty bummed out about it, but that's just headcanons.
Anywho, Pauling's there. She's there because the Administrator wants to break up the friendship between Demo and the BLU Soldier and instead have them be pitted against each other. While Soldier needs to be tricked and insulted by Demo and told that he's a civilian (something that he hates apparently), Demo is more coerced and convinced.
He's still loyal to their friendship, but, aye, there's something different about that sword there. Here's an interesting bit of characterization: Demo being a sword guy. There's a lot of medieval stuff relating to Demo, what with DeGroot's Keep, the Eyelander, his general way of speaking at times, etc and etc. It's fun and I think he takes great interest in medieval-period stuff, but, again, headcanons.
Demo feels conflicted. How could she make him choose between his best friend and this cool ass sword?? He doesn't give an answer, but Miss Pauling further pushes him to choose violence when leaving even more stuff for him as well as telling him that Soldier said that he'll join the fight. It's then assumed that Demo agrees by that point.
It's interesting to compare and contrast Demo and Soldier. Soldier, despite hearing all of these mean things, still wants to be friends with Demo. It's until "Demo" calls him a civilian, something personal and sensitive to him, is when he decides to betray him. Demo meanwhile is more swayed by things that he loves, but the final push is that betrayal. He only acts when he's finally told that their friendship has been severed. Curious how their loyalty is strong in those ways.
...I should probably sometime mention the actual retconning of his backstory however. Hoouhhh boy let's go. So, for the 2011 Halloween update, there was a comic alongside it. This comic had some cute gags, like Heavy giving a little boy he scared seven grand. However, the main attraction is the rewritten backstory for Demo.
I mentioned earlier, but I honestly can't blame them for maybe trying another crack at a Demo backstory that isn't as bleak and miserable. I do really like the original one because I'm a sucker for angst, but this backstory does work a lot better tonally when you're just trying to write some goofy stuff, especially if it involves Merasmus at some point.
Tumblr media
The story retcons the whole thing and seemingly makes it so that Demo has always been with his parents and the reason he lost his eye was not because of some brutal accident but rather a currrseeee ooohhhh spookyyy. He's hired by Merasmus to sweep up the place a bit, with him being exceptionally clear to young Tav to not touch any of the accursed tomes. He does, of course. Nothing too much in terms of characterization. It's more just saying "Hey Demo's eye is cursed and that's why he lost it but! hey! it comes back once every Halloween!!"
Again, I can't really knock this version of events. They're simple, but goofy and fun. It's all up to whatever you're trying to accomplish with Demo methinks. If you want silly and whimsical stories, you can have that backstory. If you want gut-wrenching angst, probably should take the initial one.
Aanndd that's virtually it for Demo being important. Demo doesn't get too much plot relevance later on. He's just kinda done with. He shows up in Expiration Date for a quick gag where he returns with a bunch of beer, shouting and cheering while being unaware of how they all just learned they're going to die in three days. He then shows up again during the bucket scene and doesn't do much other than mouthing somethin' (I can't tell you want tbh). A new thing is that he plays piano! That's fun! He then kinda watches Scout try and ask out Pauling and he yells for him to describe what she looks like, which is just what Demo currently sees her as (drunk, blurry, etc). He then fights in the big battle yada yada and shows up at the end with the beer again.
The MVM trailer I suppose is a thing to be noted. Here, he's a BLU Soldier and is playing cards with the Soldier of the same team. Seems like regardless of teams, there's some sort of bond between the two of them. All that happens is that Demo is down to bust up robots with the rest of the RED mercs. Pretty much it.
It is quite unfortunate to see Demo relegated to a role so passive in the story and comics. I've mentioned it before, but I do have an ever so slight grudge against Soldier for taking up the majority of the screentime when it comes to the comics. Yeah, he's really fun to write about, I can't blame the writers for doing so, but also like...c'mon... In the end, we're left with a good chunk of the mercs being underdeveloped in exchange for a ton of Soldier trivia. Props if you like Solly though; your fave got the best treatment.
Ah, but still! Demo has some moments in the comics! Let's go through them!
Uh. Upon checking most of the comics before the mainline ones, it appears he does not say even a single word. Or even show up in a good portion. Well that's disappointing. I thought he at least said like...one thing. The most he does in terms of characterization is put on a crown in A Fate Worse Than Chess, and even then that's just a silly cosmetic. Damn.
It's fine though! Because now we have the mainline comics! Hot damn finally some actual casual Demoman TF2 writing! Let's get a look and see what his normal usual personality is like! I wonder what fun shenanigans he's been up to.
The first time we see Demo he's babbling about his job being replaced by robots and looking utterly dishevelled and depressed.
Tumblr media
Okay. That's...yeah pretty in line for his character thus far. An alcoholic who is struggling with some stuff and oftentimes will have a very vocal breakdown in front of others.
The way that he's characterized here is rather fascinating though, I'll say. He's depressed. From what we can glean, this is what his life has been like since the layoffs. He's gained weight (what with Soldier's very blunt "Hello fat Demoman!"), hasn't shaved, his clothes are dirty, and beer bottles are scattered in the living room. Even the Eyelander is like "dude you need to let it go" when Demo mumbles about robots replacing jobs. He's presumably lost his two other jobs and has just been laying on this couch, drinking booze and watching TV and nothing more, despite his mum's nagging.
This is a side of Demo we don't really see. Sure, yeah, we see the hot and tempered side (ex: Meet the Demoman and the general game) as well as the sad and weepy side, but it's never to this degree. Like full on depressive episode. Yikes. Sure yeah he gets dragged back into the plot and instantly gets back to himself (albeit more orange than actually black)(I keep forgetting how whitewashed Demo was in these first few comics), but it's played for laughs and gags.
What an interesting piece of characterization, no? I've seen a fair amount of major depressive disorder, BPD, PTSD, and or bipolar headcanons slapped onto Demo and tbh I can't blame them. I'd be really interested to see some fic explore that in greater detail. I'm too busy writing Engiemedic yaoi to do anything for now though. Womp womp.
The ending bit of the comic has Demo and Pauling mainly chat with each other. Oh yeah!! Demo and Pauling! They've got a couple pretty neat lines. For the usual contract it's just jokes about his alcoholism, his eye, and a couple about his mom and just general gags. In the Tough Break update, she's out drinking with Demo and nearly spills the beans about her job. Fun. I really like the Miss Pauling characterization where she regularly hangs out with the mercs. It's cute.
In the comics, she talks to Demo more like an actual equal than, say, Pyro or Soldier. She talks to them like they're children roughhousing in the backseat. Demo sits up front and the two go back and forth. Demo is the more mature and reasonable one here. Another thing that's a common bit of characterization in the comics is that Demo isn't...drunk. He's not slurring nor acting in a way that makes it immediately clear he's inebriated. He's pretty lucid. This can be from the fact that he's a very high-functioning alcoholic, but it also makes him out to be actually pretty all-there for most of the time. I've seen far too many fics where Demo is in a perpetual state of shitface drunk so that was a nice refresher.
Tumblr media
Demo reappears in the second comic, where we get some pretty neat characterization. He's out on the town in disguise. I keep forgetting about that "What do you see?" "Not a damn thing. Let's switch places" gag that's so funny. Whatever. He is the voice of reason when it comes to Soldier. The straight-man character. He's not really...drunk here. He's not slurring his words nor is he exactly doing anything. He steps in front when Soldier starts yelling at an elderly woman, instead approaching her with a calm and kind demeanour. He holds Soldier back when he goes to strangle Scout for. I guess just being there.
So there's Demo when he's just doing stuff normally, I suppose. He's generally pretty level-headed, albeit because he's up there with Soldier. He's the Normal One when posed next to a guy like Solly. A little disappointing, but there's probably more in comic 4.
Ah the Swordvan comic. Demo and Pauling head over to Sniper's house to retrieve him. An odd bit of characterization is that Demo just takes one look at Snipes' house and goes "Welp, nobody's here. Let's get out". He doesn't seem terribly thrilled to be here, further backed up by him saying that there's just gonna be fingernails and jars of piss and he straight up says "good riddance" like what is his issue with the bushman??
Tumblr media
Now that's kinda interesting. Demo sees Snipes as being kinda just gross and a raving lunatic. He could easily be in-place for the audience and just saying what we're thinking, but I think it's interesting to see that Demo, the guy often portrayed as being the weirdo party guy, being very straight-forward. He think Sniper is some sadistic madman and just wants out. Unfortunately, he's given a neckfull of Sniper's homemade family moonshine, so he can't get out quite yet.
A very common thing in these comics it seems is Demo being the voice of reason, which is pretty interesting. The straight man to everyone. When he wakes up to Pauling spitting on him to wake him up, he goes "eughhh gross, but, hey, it worked!!" before then is knocked out. He then stays quiet for the rest of the scene, unless of course you're counting the deleted pages. There's no dialogue, but Demo breaks free from the ropes binding him, yells at Sniper, then pushes past before then inserting three syringes-worth of the moonshine into himself and passing out. Alcoholism joke as per usual. Shockingly the first one we've gotten so far.
In the submarine ride down, Demo's passed out with his scrumpy in hand. Again just a gag about him drinking a lot. He then kinda stays in the background for the rest of the comic, only appearing really once to hold a vat of liquor, before then coming to in the final shot where he holds Sniper's dead body. Heyyyy Demo I thought you thought Sniper was a weirdo freak.
Nothing too much to say from this comic then. It's just establishing more and more that Demo plays a very...straight-man character role when it comes to the comics at least. He's reasonable, level-headed, and often just says whatever comes to mind. He's kind and will instantly rush to someone's aid when they're hurt as well as just generally being pretty good-hearted. Nice!
Comic 5 mainly just features a gag with Demo's liver being so overworked that he starts turning his other organs into alcohol distilleries. The whimsy. The line that I find most fascinating from this comic is from Spy.
Tumblr media
Like oh okay so he straight up doesn't eat anything other than alcohol and aspirin. Water literally poisons him. Probably just a throwaway gag, but geez. It does say that he is kinda in pain all the time, at least to the point where aspirin is one of the few things his body can handle. Someone out there can probably work with that and make it angsty. Other than that, not much else for Demo.
Comic 6! The final one! Home stretch here folks before I can wrap this up and give a thesis on whatever the heck Demo's character is. Demo, again, is mainly just here for gags. It's the one thing I do really wish that the comics did more: explore Demo's backstory. Like you don't even need to keep the original one, but it's still fascinating to bring up the fact he has a family lineage at all. Instead, he's mainly just a straight-man character. But, hey, whatever. I'm just the one analyzing these silly comics and jokey joke characters for gay melodramatic yaoi fanfiction.
There's a gag about Demo's liver coming back to him after leaving. These soap opera drama scene could parallel the type of shows that he was watching when having that depressive episode, but that's maybe a bit of a stretch. He then gets included in that fun group shot, where his pose mimics that from the Meet the Demo, before then gets a one-on-one scene with Medic.
Tumblr media
These two are such a fun duo I wish Jaggerbombs was a more common pairing. Ah well. Medic catches Demo up on everything whilst he's stitching up wounds. The medi-gun is broken so they're doing this the old-fashioned way. Demo has a gag where he's still drinking, only that it's hydrogen peroxide instead. This then leads to a scene where Demo asks why Medic never gave him an eye. Reasonable methinks. Medic responds saying he did.
Tumblr media
Demo gets upset. He raises his voice for the first (official) time in the comics. Again, his temperament. I think it's a reasonable thing to be upset about tbh. Like imagine being told after all this time you could've had your eye back. He then learns that, no, the procedure has been done before, but rather that it never sticks because of how his eye socket is cursed. Demo asks how he can't remember this, to which Medic goes "Hooh :] It's because I scooped out a part of your brain" because of course he did. He then forgets the entire conversation + probably Medic entirely.
Aaannnddd that's pretty much it for Demo. That's his last speaking role. Just a quick, simple gag about his eye being cursed, his alcoholism, and generally being the straight-man for others, even if he does have a couple silly gags too. Seems like a culmination of everything he is in the comics.
To conclude: Demo is a character I feel can take on two main roles depending on what kind of tone you're going for. If you want angst, you've got a character who carries the guilt of murdering his foster parents as well as the burden of being a DeGroot, turning to alcohol to cope with his sadness and general inability to deal with it all. If you want silly goofy stuff, you have Demo being a straight-man or a neat party guy if you like the bit from Expiration Date where he brings back beer and such. Of course there's nuance. I find it best to try and find a balance between these two opposing sides. It just takes time and practice to really get a hold of his personality methinks.
I do wish he was more in the comics though as his own person, y'know? He's very reliant on others in order for his character to function, whilst most others have scenes where it's just them doing something. I wish he was used more than being the guy who drags the others back to reality. Damn it sucks to see that the fics where he's mainly just the straight-man are kinda right in that regard.
But for character traits? Hm, let's see. I find it's just trying to make sense of what's given to you and seeing what best fits for the tone of story you're trying to go for. However, for me trying to write him? Well...
His alcoholism is a central character trait. He is definitely 100% an alcoholic, regardless of however people try and sand him down. I personally really like sticking to the idea that he straight up can't eat anything but booze and aspirin because I think it's funny but also sad, but that's me. I think him having a flask of scrumpy on his person at all times is a neat headcanon as well.
Another big trait with Demo is his frequently shifting mood when drunk. He can swing from loud to weeping in a couple moments. I wouldn't say he's particularly angry nor aggressive, no more than any other character at least. He's most volatile on the battlefield, but otherwise at the base I feel it wouldn't be an uncommon sight to see Demo partying until dawn or holed up in the living room and sobbing. Poor guy.
In spite of what many think, Demo is certainly not lazy. He's a workaholic is anything. He holds down three jobs and rakes in a lot of money in order to live up to his name as a DeGroot. It could be because he likes working that much or that his mother just nags him to push himself that far. That also ties into his self-deprecation, another core trait of his, but that's pretty obvious to see.
His heart is another big trait. The guy loves. He cares for his mother even when she nags at him. He sticks by Soldier's side until he feels as though he's been betrayed. He takes care of the Eyelander and treats it like a pal. He generally cares a whole heck of a lot about people and other things. He wears his heart on his sleeve and says what he means. He doesn't feel a need to really hide who he is as a person. He's loud, fun, and just naturally pretty sweet and kind. I don't think he's ever really "mean" outside of the game stuff. There's also the whole "being hired to explode people" part but ehhh that's just the silliness in him :]
Demo also being generally pretty...normalish. He's a guy who's really just going through it when you take the angst option. He oftentimes will try and hold back others from doing something stupid when sober. I feel like when he's drunk he's more willing to get in on dumb shit, but still. However, this doesn't mean he's wholly a normal person. I think you can do a lot of headcanons here where you bring out some traits that are otherwise not talked about too much.
There are a lot of liberties to be taken with Demo's character as per usual. A ton of writing a character to be, well, in-character is just getting down their voice and mannerisms. Understanding their personality and motives is just half the battle. Demo sometimes speaks like an old-timey medieval knight or poet or whatever. He's generally pretty well-spoken and whatever. For the love of god if you want to write him, you don't need to include phonetics constantly. Please. It's so much better that tu'try toh spell everay whurd like tis. Oftentimes people will just know what the character sounds like regardless. Just try and mimic his way of speaking more and you'll do wonders for actually making that character sound like, well, that character.
I've neglected to mention Demo being a black man a lot because, well, it never really pops up a lot in canon. I think the most recognition we get for Demo being black is him just saying that he's black. He's a black Scotsman and that's about it. It's curious since I've seen a number of fics where it's all period-typical racism angst and whatever, with Demo being used as a way for the author to get up and proudly say that they think that racism is bad by having Demo being called a slur and getting upset. How progressive.
I dunno. I never really personally touch on period-typical bigotry stuff myself due to the fact that this is Team Fortress 2. Rocket jumping was invented before stairs. Besides, this is the late 60s/early 70s. The civil rights movement happened by this point. Not everyone walking the streets is gonna be some abrasive bigot. I don't know why people want to try and make it "historically accurate" to begin with since this series has never been period-accurate to begin with. I don't particularly think TF2 is a great series to go on about tackling period-typical bigotry either. Literally if you want Demo angst you've got the actual mountain load of angst with his backstory right there. Obviously of course people are allowed to write what they want and I do fully believe that sharing stories and portraying bigotry is important, but why with TF2??? Do people just really look at a POC and think their existence is inherently political and they need to make it clear they think Racism Bad, even though the tone of canon really doesn't match that?? Ah well. I'm just rambling.
Regardless, Demo is just a character where you can take a lot of different avenues with. Maybe you can explore his trauma and try and write about how he feels trying to live up to his family name. What about his issues with his now-deceased father? Maybe you can forgo that and have him be a partner in crime to Solly or whomever else, with the occasional glimpse into his more sensitive self. Really, it all just depends on the story you're trying to tell. Ultimately, writing Demo with a healthy mix of comedy and angst is probably what is best done if you just want a pretty in-character version. He can be out on some grand adventure to take down Nessie with a merc or two AND have it be a story about him coming to terms with his past. That's just a me thing though lol.
Demo, like the rest of the cast, is an easily moldable piece of clay. All of the mercs at their very core are just funny character archetypes. They can be whatever you want them to be. It's just best to work with their original characterization and personality in mind, y'know? Fanfic writing is mainly about having fun anyway.
Speaking of which, enough procrastinating for me. I need to get back to writing my yaoi...

A/n !
Goofy ah moment
➶◜◝➴
Waking up upon hearing the sound of people chattering at the background, but you didn't dare to move as you focus on what's happening.
You heard a chuckle, and then you felt a hand brushed against your nape, making your body shiver. Soon the sensation disappeared, a familiar scent strikes your nose as you refuse to open your eyes to see.
It belongs to Vox's.
"Do not, touch." You heard, there's a slight growl as the demon said so. Earning a chuckle from someone, "Getting territorial I see" You then in an instant, your body is swept up from the futon. Making you instantly snap your eyes open, holding onto the person that decided to pick you up.
"They belong to us." A low voice grumbled as you recognize the owner of the voice, it was quite dark in the room. "Ohh, They belong to you~" Whoever that Shu and Vox's talking to, they're definitely putting more fuel into the fire that's for sure.
You heard a whisper, but you couldn't entirely catch on what the whisper was. What you heard is just Vox slightly argued with Shu, it seems like they've come into a disagreement.
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Shu?" "Do we have other choice? Those two will never let this one away" With a low grumble, you felt Vox loosen up his hold on you, you felt something slip into your palm. And before you could even process what happened, within a blink you've teleported away, with a purple pink fire surrounded you for one moment.
And the next you're in your room, "Huh??" You blinked as you tried to process what's happening. Wait, you looked around only to realize you are now back into your room. Left wondering, what happened to Shu and Vox? Who are they talking to?
. . .
Meanwhile at the otherside, Shu and Vox Facing their identical beings in front of them, the only difference are their colors.
Shu Hikarino, Box Tenshi.
Hikarino smirked at Shu, Box smiled gently at Vox's frown. They definitely do not get along well with each other, they're always at each other's neck whenever they see one another.
"That is not polite of you to take them away, no introductions either? Disappointed in you, Yamino." Hikarino barked, showing his disappointment towards the other. Making Shu quite irked but he manage to calm himself down, "They don't belong to you, both Vox and I have decided that they belong to us" Shu explained.
"Both of you? How about them? Do they agree on that?" Shu went silent, Vox who had been silent opened his mouth. "If they didn't agree, they wouldn't come over to the forest again and again like a fool." Shu glanced at Vox, he smiled slightly at him and let out a small chuckle.
"Hikarino, We're here not for this remember?" Box spat out as he faced the two, smiling gently. "We're here to tell you that, the village they're living in is going to be ambushed, possibly burnt down. I do hope you two know what to do." Box added, he turned around and stood next to Hikarino who is letting out a small laugh at Shu and Vox' shocked faces.
Box looked over his shoulder, smirking devilishly. "May you two stay safe." Then the two disappeared into the void, leaving the other two confused and dumbfounded.
"We have to save them all.
NOW!"
. . .
Good lord, when the two arrived, blood bath are greeting them, some villagers are seen running away for their lives but then their live is taken away just within a blink of an eye.
Women, Men, Children, Grandparents. They're all murdered and eaten by other yokais, Shu and Vox split ways as they tried to find survivors, once they found some, they knocked them out and erase their memories of seeing them, teleporting them away from the already ambushed village.
They manage to find some survivors, but they didn't find any sign of you anywhere. Shu and Vox meet up in the middle of the village, "Anything?" Vox asked. "Not even their presence could be found by your shikigamis??" Shu only shook his head as he frowned, the frustration can be seen in his eyes.
"Shu, try sending your shikigamis outside the village, and let's try to go back to the forest."
. . .
Before the ambush happened, you were trying to figure out what to do, where to go. Should you go back to the forest when it's blood moon? They said it's dangerous, but you couldn't help yourself but getting worried about them. Despite them not being humans themselves, but something about them gives you, unexpected comfort.
Your foot started moving without you realizing, you don't even know where you're going. You're running, as far as you could, and as soon as you stepped out from the village. You heard a loud scream behind you, but before you could turn around to see, a hand covered your eyes.
"Unsightly, someone like you don't deserve to see such mess." A voice echoed into your eardrum, making your body shiver. "Let's get you to safety now.." The figure who covered your eyes chuckled softly, you don't know what happened, but one thing for sure is that the screams and cries can no longer be heard.
"We're feeling generous today, so we won't do anything to you." The figure stepped away from you, revealing the identical people. You recognize their faces. But they also seem different, instead of Red and Purple, it's Blue and Green.
The two individuals stood in front of you, one smiling one smirking. "You look so lost, confused. That's cute. We're not them, though we do possess the same appearance." Shu's identical pointed out, he sighed softly as he shrugged. "They owe us for saving you" he added, his eyes then stared into yours.
"Too bad you're already taken" He pouted slightly before letting out a small laugh, "Perhaps we should find one faster next time" the other who had been quiet finally spoke.
"Well then, our job here is done, see you around.. little human." Shu's identical left first, leaving only bits of green fire, the other soon followed, leaving a icy blue smoke behind.
And now here you are just realizing that you have no idea where you are, or so you thought.
You turned to see a familiar house behind you, familiar surroundings. Those two took you to Shu and Vox's house, you're lucky enough they didn't do anything that will injure you.
Now that you're here, you stepped into the house looking for the two, only to find out that the house is bare of their presence. No one is home, you went to the room you're staying in and they're still on the same state.
You stood at the terrace, looking out at the sakura tree at the backyard. "Where are you guys..?" You asked yourself in a whisper, wondering where could the two be.
. . .
Shu and Vox wander back into the forest, hoping to see the human they're looking for. As the two continue their search, one of the shikigamis Shu sent out returned with a news saying that you are at their humble abode.
Now he is happy to receive the news, but then realization strikes him on how did she get there? There are literally so many yokais scattered around the forest, she could've either getting injured, or worse dead.
Unless,
"Vox, They're all the way at home." Shu informed the demon who had took a transformation so that no yokais dare to approach them, Vox's large figure stopped moving and growled at Shu. Silently telling him to continue what he said, "I am not sure on how they got there, but.. do you think?"
The two frowned, but they shook the suspicions away for now and marched forward to their house. To confirm if she's alive or not.
Once the two arrive, Vox have turned back to his normal size and the two goes around the house trying to find you. Once they see you at the backyard, still in one piece. Both of them internally sighed in relief.
"It is rather absurd to see you here in one piece after what happened." Shu announced his presence by saying so, he walked closer to your figure who had just turned around the moment you heard his voice. "Shu- Vox-" You called out their name. "Do tell how did you get here" Vox cuts into the case, not wasting any time.
"There's, your identical.. beings? They both look exactly like you, just different in colors..." You explained, quite unsure yourself on what to call them. Shu and Vox stared at each other after hearing your answer, "Did they do anything to you?" Shu genuinely sounded worried as he asked. You shook your head and you can see the two loosened up a bit, they've been quite tense huh.
"I believe, we owe those two this time huh, Vox?" Shu looked over his shoulder to see the demon looking at you, frowning. He sighed at Shu' statement, "Hate to admit, but it seems like it."
The two grew silent and then Shu looked back at you, the concern is still there, the worry are still in his eyes. "We apologize for our negligence, no, my negligence. Because if I were to think it through, you wouldn't have-" "Shu, it's okay, I know you mean well..." You cut him off, his eyes soften slightly as he looked like he's about to cry right at this moment. But before you could do anything about it Shu suddenly stood up and turned against you, "Apologies for my rudeness, give me a moment." Shu stepped away and now it's Vox's turn to approach you.
"Seems like we won't be letting you wander around freely from now on." You blinked confusedly at the Demon, then you remembered on the scream and cries you heard coming from your village. Hesitantly, you look at Vox and asked, "Um.. the village, my, hometown.. what happened to them?" The way Vox's eyes widen and then looked away in disappointment, the frustration in his eyes.
You can hear the stutter of his breath, "Ambushed." His reply is short, but your heart dropped when you heard his voice, shaking. "..Are you saying they're all.." You stopped, you looked at him. Then at Shu at the distance, the silence is so loud.
Shu and Vox no longer saying anything, leaving you hanging on what happened in the village, your hometown. Is everyone dead? Are they no longer here? A question appeared one after another, anxiety builds up at the thought of the people you've seen everyday are now, .. gone.
. . .
And it was true.
Everything is burned down, ruined, it reeks of blood as you step into the village that was used to be filled with laughter, and joy of each villagers. Now only leaving trail of blood followed with some houses have been burnt down by some yokais, you walked through the familiar path, companied with Shu and Vox behind you.
It took them a week to let you go out after this incident, and as you walk, you heard a chuckle at the distance. Then the figure who saved you last time appeared from a corner, "Well well, what a coincidence" Shu's identical smiled at you then his eyes went over at the two figures behind you.
"Hikarino." You heard a voice coming from behind you, it belongs to Shu. "Ha, ..Nice to see you too, Yamino." You turned slightly to see Shu and Vox's expression, and when you look back at this Shu's identical, called as, Hikarino? Are no longer alone, Vox's identical appeared out of nowhere by Hikarino' side smiling gently at you. "Nice to see you again little human."
. . .
You don't understand what exactly happened, but one thing for sure is that, Shu, Vox, Hikarino and Box. Does not get along well with each other, they're completely opposites of each other.
You stood between them as you tried to process what happened, but you don't understand what they're talking about at all. Leaving you confused and clueless, "Just tell us what is it that you want." Shu sounded slightly desperate as he look at Hikarino and Box.
"You know exactly what we want though, dear Yamino" Hikarino mocked and chuckled, "Sacrifice need to be made." Box added, smiling oh so innocently. "Your choice is simple, be it you sacrifice one to save others, or sacrifice others to save one."
Shu and Vox didn't say anything, and sacrifice? Who? You?? Even more questions appeared inside one's mind, "Give us some time." Shu said, Hikarino obliged and soon him and Box left the three of you all alone.
You look over at Shu and Vox, "Sacrifice..?" You repeated that one word that is repeated by Hikarino, Shu's jaw clenched as he tried to figure out what to do in this situation. "Let's, head back." Vox said, and the three of you made your journey back to the forest and back to the house. While you're all on your way, it was so, silent. Nobody's talking.
In the living room, the three of you sat down on the tatami floor, Vox is at the terrace. Meanwhile Shu and you are sitting across each other, in silence.
"Am I going to be okay?" You broke the silence, earning a scoff from the Demon, "You're going to be fine with us. Don't think too much about it." He added, you glanced over Shu who's looking at you apologetically. "Did I make you worry? Apologies.." You shook your hands in front of you, "I did, didn't I?" He chuckled softly,
"Don't worry, you're going to be safe with us. I promise."

2.2 is coming and if I don't write this now, how can I get jossed later?
Tumblr media
This is the moment when I started to wonder if their 2.0 conversation was a role play.
Like, we know this issue is a sore point for Ratio. The fact that this guy he called a loud peacock in 2.0 made a joke about his failure to get into the Genius Society and all he said was 'I was being sarcastic'?? Babe, is something wrong? You barely touched your sharp and witty comeback.
(Btw I checked both Cn and Jp, he says 'It was just a joke.')
And I don't want to bring up the voice acting because the way voices sound is subjective and what I hear might not be what you hear, but the Double Indemnity scenes with Ratio are probably the most relaxed we ever see Aventurine ever. (I'm talking about the Cn version, but I played in Jp audio and I could hear it there too.) He's playful and his voice is higher pitched, so different from what we've seen of him so far.
It sounds like Ratio and Aventurine have known each other longer than they want us to believe in their 2.0 convo.
Tumblr media
I mean, the implication here is Ratio did some research on Aventurine's background recently and that's how he found out about Aventurine's past. So we make the assumption that they haven't been working together for long.
Look, they even did a Penacony remix of their Final Victor conversation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But honestly, you'd think Ratio would have figured out if he trusted Aventurine or not at this point, considering he came back for more after Final Victor (lmao??)
Also, we know Aventurine had been planning for Penacony since his call to Topaz, where he asked for her help. It's hard to believe that he went through all the trouble of asking two different Stonehearts to lend him their cornerstones and then went to Penacony and the Dreamscape with Ratio, whom he barely knows. That's too much gambling, Aventurine!
Tumblr media
We know the Family won't let anyone from the IPC to enter the Dreamscape and Aventurine only gets a pass because of the Watchmaker's invite
Tumblr media
But Himeko is wrong here: Aventurine didn't go inside the Dreamscape alone and he does have someone backing him up. It just happened that almost no one else saw Ratio in Penacony and the one scene where we did see him talking to Aventurine was 2.0, where he got angry and left Aventurine babbling to himself.
But now that we're here, what did Ratio do in Penacony aside from bicker and betray?
His initial job is to gather intel, afaik. Aventurine tells him to go look into things in 2.0 before he left. And he does give Aventurine updates in 2.1 (Aventurine finds out about Firefly from Ratio) so good for you, professor!
Ratio is Aventurine's connection to his colleagues outside. Once Aventurine's plans enter the Dead phase, Ratio is the only one left to tell Topaz and Jade if the plan had been a success or not. (Aventurine also makes a joke about the Genius from the Council of the Mundanites offering to be his undertaker. In the Jp version, he says 'So the Genius from the Council of the Mundanites wants to claim my corpse? What an honour.' So there's also that... Uh. Idk how dead dead Aventurine really is, but at least we know someone's looking after his body while he's gone lmao??)
Tumblr media
But also he's Aventurine's bait to Sunday, the (fake) weak link in Aventurine's plans that Sunday thought he could exploit.
And the 3rd one is a bit complicated, because it is a gamble. Remember Aventurine's E1? Prisoner's Dilemma? Yeah, it's kinda like that. I talked about it before, but let's copy paste it here for easier reading (and because this post totally needs to be a wall of text)
Let's zoom out a bit again and remember that Aventurine was sent to Penacony because Diamond thinks this whole affair could still have a peaceful resolution. Meaning: Aventurine is the kind option. The IPC could have sent Opal instead, but it sounds like that means there would be a body count.
And I think that's why Ratio is here and why he agreed to cooperate. Because if Aventurine's plan works out, only Aventurine's life will ever be in real danger. (And we know from Ratio's note that he also took steps to increase the chances of Aventurine coming back.)
Ratio being there is important to the plan because
Him being from the Intelligentsia Guild removes some of the heat from the Family. If Ratio is coming in as a plus one, the IPC (in this case, I'm assuming it's Aventurine because he's the guy in charge of the operation) chose the best person for the job. It makes the Family happier knowing there are not two IPC envoys walking around the Dreamscape and Aventurine has a buddy who can move around more freely than another IPC employee could
But because Ratio is an outsider, he's also the weak link in Aventurine's plans. Another IPC employee will probably not betray Aventurine, but the Guild has no particular horse in this race. We were also led to believe from their 2.0 conversation that Ratio doesn't like Aventurine very much. This is what I meant when I said Ratio is a bait: Aventurine was pretty much dangling him in front of Sunday, making Sunday think he could use Ratio to ruin Aventurine's plans. The important thing of course is the trust the two of them have for each other (yay, Prisoner's Dilemma). Ratio could ruin Aventurine's plan if he wants to (very bad for all involved because I'm guessing Opal is the next step) and Aventurine could fail (not as bad for everyone involved after 2.1 because the IPC has already won regardless. There's still a Phase 2 in Aventurine's plan and Ratio seems to want him back after that, so I guess he'd consider it a failure if Aventurine doesn't return?), but trusting each other means they win.
Tl;dr Ratio's presence in Penacony is a bit of a gamble on Aventurine's part but it worked well for him so far. Ratio is here to make sure everyone stays alive. (And maybe the Phase Flame? I honestly don't know if the Annihilation Gang will ever come back again, but for now I'm going with the obvious and assuming Ratio is here because he thinks Aventurine's plan will work and work with the least amount of pain for everyone.)
Thank you for getting this far. Why do we think they deserve Oscars?
Aside from the movie references (we'll get to that), we have 3 different instances where Aventurine mentions acting / the 'script'.
The most direct is the conversation with future!Aventurine in the garden maze: future!Aventurine praises Ratio's acting while Aventurine says 'Or he might not be acting at all' (the inability of these two to admit they are friends, but more importantly they don't think the other person thinks highly of them, is2g).
The next one is hidden in the mission description
Tumblr media
And the other one got lost in translation. This was translated to 'You catch on quickly' in En. In Jp he says something like 'You have a good sense for drama, professor' (Sorry Idk what this is in the og Cn)
Tumblr media
Finally, Double Indemnity. I haven't seen the movie, but it seems to be about an insurance salesman who gets seduced by a hot wife femme fatale into helping her get rid of her husband so she could claim his insurance. Double Indemnity refers to this clause where the insurance gets doubled if the person suddenly dies of an accident.
I've thought about this so hard, let me tell you. What could this possibly have to do with Aventurine and the mission? (For example, 'Hot wife Sunday seduces Ratio the insurance salesman into helping him get rid of Aventurine' etc.) And I honestly still don't know but one detail does help my theory so I'm pulling it out:
The relationship between the insurance salesman and the hot wife femme fatale was known only to the two of them. To the insurance claims adjuster, who was investigating the case and trying to prove the husband's death wasn't an accident, those two are unrelated people who might have seen each other once or twice. The claims adjuster suspected the wife, but had no idea of the insurance salesman's involvement. The truth is, they actually knew each other a full year before the plan was set in motion. Hey, doesn't it actually fit nicely now?
(Spellbound otoh, I still don't know. I have a Sunday and Gallagher reading of it, but Hvy keeps telling me no and making it gay instead so Idk.)

Last Episode before our inZOI hiatus!
Great A'Tuin II reached the Boys home planet. Jack's odd feelings had been right. He never watched the stars again with Vlad and they never returened back to their home in Tomarang.
Tumblr media
After Jonathan packed everything together and stored the pods with the Boys in the ship's cargo bay, he contacted Rubyn and she told him the coordinates for the STaCKs in San Myshuno.
Tumblr media
The Boys would be safe there. The STaCKs are occupied by droids and no 'meatbag' dares to enter them without their consent. The Doctor would monitor the Boys until Rubyn and Jonathan found a way to bring them back.
Tumblr media
Jonathan connected Tiny Can to the computer to take a look how the Boys are doing. Rubyn: "This doesn't look like the Therapy Game! What have you done, Tiny Can!" Tiny Can let out a blue streak of excited beeps. Rubyn: "A new save? This isn't just a new save! You've made a whole new game!" athena: "He means well. They will do just fine, I'm sure. He couldn't leave them in that corrupted save file after all. I mean, it's still corrupt and they still forgot everything - and can't get out because they even forgot they're in a game... But look how beautiful that new world is! Ah, I envy them! You outdid yourself, Tiny Can!"
Tumblr media
Rubyn informed their inner circle about what happened. And not anyone sees the latest happenings as bright and exciting as athena. Not only will the Boys forget about literally everything, now they'll also find themself in a complete new universe! (Not that they'd even notice anything of that though... ö.Ö')
It was a muddy, grey day in Moonwood Mill and Greg took Noxee for a hike to the Moonwood Cliff above Lake Lunvik. To distract her from her sorrows.
Tumblr media
But she was heartbroken about losing her Babies. Greg: "You won't stop crying, won't you?" Noxee sobbed: "When I imagine them - all alone..." She cried again. Greg sighed: "All right then."
Tumblr media
They went home to the hospital wing of the bunker, where Greg fell in love with Noxee, and made love one last time. After they'd enter the game to join the Boys/their Babies, they will forget each other. But they'd faced worse. Far, far worse. Greg: "Nothing will keep me from you. I will find you - and make you mine again." Noxee: "You better do. I love you, you know." Greg: "I know."
Tumblr media
Meanwhile at Hummelshain Castle/Tartosa. Rita: "When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain?" Francine: "When the hurly-burly's done." Dtui: "When the battle's lost and won."
Tumblr media
It's clear that Dtui, Kiyoshi's mentor, and Francine, Jeb's grandmother, won't leave their Boys unattended. They are just too nosy - and curious. Even though they'd forget too - they'd find their way. At least it won't rain on the inside in that new game, right? Francine left Dtui and Rita alone to say goodbye. Rita will remain in this realm - to keep things going. Francine had already brought the heartbreaking conversation with Jules behind her.
Tumblr media
Rita and Dtui don't worry too much though. They are as old as the dinosaurs (Jack says that, not me!) and this new adventure will only last for a blink of the eye to them.
Tumblr media
Leander and Wesley brought their dog Baby Ogg to chestnut ridge. They are supposed to enter the game too. Genji will take care of the Boys' animals and Baby Ogg.
Tumblr media
All of the Boys' mentors will join them in their new adventure. Only Genji, Ji Ho's mentor, will swap his place with Wesley. Wesley and Leander survived their hell together - and remained conscious. So the resistance hopes this will help them to remember in the new game too and help to bring the Boys back.
Aww and look! Kiyoshi and Jack's horses seem to be back together again! Ach, but Jeb and Jack's were so cute together! Maybe they'll form a throuple? Or even add Sai's horse for a quad? (More about their horses in our spin-off The Stables)
Tumblr media
And this is how the Boys and their mentors (minus Genji, plus Wesley) entered the Therapy Game 2.0 ...
Tumblr media
'When the night has come And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No, I won't be afraid Oh, I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand Stand by me
So darlin', darlin', stand by me Oh, stand by me Oh, stand Stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountain should crumble to the sea I won't cry, I won't cry No, I won't shed a tear Just as long as you stand Stand by me
And darlin', darlin', stand by me Oh, stand by me Oh, stand now Stand by me, stand by me
Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me Oh, stand by me Won't you stand by me'
Ben E. King - Stand by me
The perfect song for the last episode. It was also OST from the movie 'Stand by me'. MV linked above is with scenes from the movie. It reminded me of how Vlad, Saiwa, Ji Ho and Jack started this story as teenagers 2 years and 8 months and 1.715 posts ago. I watched the MV again and imagined them as the main characters and I cried. Even though I will still have them around in inZOI and I won't loose them, somehow I do. I played The Sims for ~ 25 years, oh my. Adult Vlad, Jack and Sai for over ten years! It was a wild ride for sure. Thank you so much for participating! I will make an extra hiatus post after this one. The link to our new tumblr/zoiblr is -> here. (It's still empty though ^^')

Tracklist and lyrics behind the cut!
Love Letter From the Sea to the Shore-Delaney Bailey
Cause you hold in my tide I would die a thousand times Just to see you in another life I think I loved you in a thousand ways 'Cause you remain stagnant on my trouble days No matter how far I drift away You'll be there when I come back one day
Silence-Before You Exit
Talking Why's everyone always talking? Noise in my head, but it’s nonsense I can't feel nothing Guarded Don't overthink how we started Knew from the second you walked in This could be something Everybody’s looking for a love to start a riot But every time I look in your eyes The world gets quiet
Comin' Around Again-Amber Marks
So let's see where the night goes Maybe love's comin' around again
Why Don't You-Cleo Sol
Why don't you just let go And quiet down your ego Don't complain about finance I know your daddy weren't a real man Go ahead and live your dreams To me you're stronger than a whole team
I wanna see you smile Even when you think I'm angry It's true it might take a while But it's between you and me
Homemade Holiday-babygirl
Homemade holiday Catching rays, wearing shades Inside, dead of the night Who needs pearly gates? You’re the same, hear your name I die, bye bye
Forever & Always-Zeph
Honey, now we're older, but we'll never age I don't think my love will ever start to fade My attachment to you isn't subject to change My heart's yours forever and always
The Day That I Met You-Matilda Mann
But then you called, only to say You'll never love somebody else this way And though I'm still battered and bruised I forgave the world the day that I met you
The people talk, it's background noise I don't wanna hear nobody else's voice There's somethin' sweet about your scent It's like lavender came and never left
Garden's Heart-Natasha Khan & Jon Hopkins
I hear a whisper in the trees Where I am you and you are me You need to find a way back here Remember what I said: The space that is in between You have to fight it
Love Sneakin’ Up on You-Bonnie Raitt
Fever turns To cold, cold sweat thinkin about things we ain't done yet Tell me now I gotta know, do you feel the same? Do you just light up at the mention of my name?
Till Forever Falls Apart-Ashe & FINNEAS
Out on our own Dreamin' in a world that we both know Is out of our control But if shit hits the fan, we're not alone
Jupiter-Flower Face
We can leave right now, never come back home You're all I need Forget everything that we used to be Take me to another place, fly me up to Jupiter We can run away But I'll always feel at home with you
Lucky For You- Novo Amor & Gia Margaret
Lucky for you I’m nothing without The thought of starting all my days With the mornings when I see you I’m bored of staring at my face Every morning when I need you
coffee-Miguel
Old souls we found a new religion Now I'm swimming in that sin, baptism Peach colored skies we feel the sunrise Two lost angels discover salvation Don't you wish we could run away now?
Sardine Song-Lav
If I had a home It would be our tin can Caught in your red hair Breathing in salt and making you swear Please Who do I have to be? I'll dip myself in honey Climb into the spaces in between your teeth
Ends of the Earth-Lord Huron
To the ends of the earth, would you follow me? There's a world that was meant for our eyes to see To the ends of the earth, would you follow me?
Unicron Loev-Raleigh Ritchie
There’s something about you That takes my blues away Life’s nothing without you I can’t get through the days I’ll never be cynical ‘Cause you wouldn’t have it I believe in miracles, I believe in magic
Morning Dove-Genevive Stokes
We don't talk much When I'm around you I'm a statue When you're running I can't catch you But it's not time There's a way to your defiance so I'll wait to break thе silence
I'm On Fire-Bruce Springsteen
Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby, edgy and dull And cut a six-inch valley through the middle of my skull At night, I wake up with the sheets soakin' wet And a freight train runnin' through the middle of my head Only you can cool my desire Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Worth the Wait-Kali Uchis
Most people don't know how to love, that's why they're empty Nothing will ever be enough, that's why they envy Gotta be careful with my heart because I love deep
How Deep is Your Love?-PJ Morton
How deep is your love? I really need to learn 'Cause we're livin' in a world of fools Breaking us down, when they all should let us be We belong to you and me

Do you have any post Finale Taco angst?
I love my baby and I want to hear more of herrrr
I’m sorry if you’ve gotten this before… (*๓´╰╯`๓)
Hi Odyssey!! Welcome, and thank you for sending in an ask!! :] I don't...think I've gotten this before? I don't tend to remember what I'm asked very well. But even if I have I'm happy to share more!!! (*๓´╰╯`๓)
Do I- do I have any post finale Taco angst? Do I have any post finale Taco angst!? /lh
yes, yes I do!!! Chionophobia is post finale Taco angst, my current wip is post finale Taco angst, I really like post finale Taco angst a whole lot!!!! So please enjoy some post finale Taco angsts!!
So, Taco is super nervous to be around everyone now, yeah? And a lot of them really don't like her and would remain quite suspicious of her. But Taco is one of if not the only ones who has a lot of the knowledge and survival skills they'll need for building their new community. Foraging and farming? Everyone else has had groceries from the hotel or food provided by Mephone during the show. Some goes for hunting. Making basic tools? Only something Taco would have to do. Making a proper shelter that will keep them safe before they're able to make actual buildings? Again, Taco has already had to do that, so she's their best source of knowledge for it. They don't have much of a choice but to take her advice on things, but most of them don't trust her, or like her for that matter. So she ends up being stuck constantly interacting with everyone instead of being able to fade into the background behind Mic, constantly getting met with suspicion and scorn, regardless of her intention to actually help.
I'm not going to touch too deeply into her grief for Mepad here, since again that's what my current wip is about so I don't want to accidentally spoil everything, but I don't think she's gonna handle it well. Mepad was the only object she'd properly expressed her true feelings to, yeah? And with Mic, she's going to be walking on eggshells for quite some time trying to make sure she stays on her good side. She wouldn't be comfortable enough to talk about those feelings yet, at the very least until she's sure Mic won't leave her again. Pickle is out of the question of course, and she doesn't really know anyone else. She... really doesn't have an outlet for her grief.
I think Taco's reaction to meeting both Silver and Blueberry would be an interesting one. She'd be smart enough to pick up on the parallels, yeah? Since they know that they were made by Mephone now. Another british antagonist? Another very small contestant that winds up being a twist villain? That's got to be rough to see. Similar to how Box might feel if she ever puts together that Suitcase was a version 2.0 of her. Honestly, I can't even get into all my thoughts about how Taco is going to feel with having been made by Mephone, since I will never get off my soap box about her being one of if the most mistreated of all the contestants by Mephone. It would take me hours to write it out and I don't think anyone wants to hear that because I am very biased lol.
So, in Truth or Flare, Taco is very much aware that she is going to die. She doesn't believe Mephone will recover her, she is very aware that her injury is progressing to a dangerous state, she fully thinks she's going out permanently very soon. That my friends is called a dangerous disregard for personal safety, and happens often to people with very poor mental health and high amounts of self-loathing. Mepad had certainly helped but... he and Taco never did get to discuss how she'd been made. She'll always be wondering if Mepad would still believe in her like he had. And she's in a high-stress situation at the moment. The gist of what I'm trying to say is that I highly doubt Taco cares much more about her own well-being/life at this point than before. Her uncaringness before still applies, because she still thought she'd be dead forever.
Relating back to my first hc about Taco dealing with a lot of dislike from the others and suspicion when she tries to help, think about if something went wrong. If she gathered some berries that she'd grown a tolerance to intending to be the only one to eat them, but they're mistaken by someone else and a few unlucky objects end up vomiting. Even though she hadn't intended to cause harm and there had been a simple mistake, it would be taken by quite a few of the others as a sign that she's still trying to cause harm and isn't to be trusted. She has a long road ahead of her, yeah?

HOT TAKE ON AA AND FANDOM RN
*note that this isn't all about THAT artist but general takes. I don't defend THAT artist words and actions. If you will come and call me stuff, I won't take it well because a random person cannot judge me. Please, read this as a general take and not only for certain situations. Especially in certain parts of post. And do note that if you take my words from your point of view is fine but I am open to have conversations without hating! No need to instantly judge me without knowing me because I am fine with dark art - I am not this and that as you think.
I'm so sad to what is happening in fandom rn. Everyone is hating to hate.
Astarion's fans are the target, especially AA fans. People don't understand that not all fans are crazy and hateful.
By what I've read from comments and saw in videos those who spread hate on AA or Astarion in general, aren't better than those who they speak of, imo.
I dislike how Astarion suddenly is portrayed as a monster just because he Ascended and people try to prove with dialogs and forgets there's dialogs of him adoring you and still showing his vulnerability even if he ascends.
As much as I love both versions of Astarion but I love Astarion wholely. No matter if he is a spawn or ascended. I love his flaws and his bratty personality. From the moment he pulls up a dagger to your throat to offering life in the shadows as a spawn or rulers as ascended. I never felt like he was good even before becoming spawn. I feel like he saw others from above as magistrate too! People shouldn't overglaze.
I feel like the people that like his one version only prefer that but doesn't take in the character of who he is and how he changes. And by dropping comments of "you completely didn't understand his character" is such horrible take in my eyes - do we understand ourselves to understand a fictional character, especially someone that overlives our age?
In my opinion, spawn is something we create and help him discover. Because he isn't nice at the beginning besides later on. Because he was so lost for so long. Meanwhile ascended Astarion drinks in the power BUT it doesn't mean he is Cazador 2.0. If he would be one, he would've left after finishing ritual - you're not needed. He would've killed you and burried you to become a spawn. Like he had that.
I feel like people who see him as one can't take on, on a man that shows who he is, its confidence and dominance. You don't have to kneel for AA as you do in game. Make headcanons! We don't get to explore AA as much as we do get to explore spawn. And there's no such thing as being equal. Only balance and harmony. There always will be times where one will do more than the other and opposite. Most important is being happy, respectful and loving to each other than care about being equal.
The sudden change do spook people but what interest me the most that in era of dark romance - people push away AA when it's so perfect for dark romance.
If your tav/durge can't handle a power hungry vampire lord in headcanons, seems like not the AA problem.
And people who just hate by making silly takes like: you cannot change Wyll into Astarion in a dance scene... Darling, change Astarion into Wyll in his scenes! Do whatever your fantasy desires, rather than making childish takes or what others have to do. Shouldn't be anyone's business.
And this whole art drama made me remember that color of skin is a really big issue for people! I have forgotten such problem for so long because I don't care about the color. Color doesn't disturb me to get to know the person! I care about the person, its behavior, its personality. I don't talk to color of the skin only, I talk to a human being, because at the end of the day we are all just people - no matter the color, ethnicity and etc. We shouldn't shake off someone because of color. Let's love each other as we are. And if we feel proud in our skin and culture, and love that in each other - it would be more beautiful. People should stop putting labels and just enjoy each other, spread less hate.
And love art without caring of artist's backgrounds. I wanna enjoy art without labels, without politics. Art deserves more. And there's lots of historical art that are far worse and sells for millions but social media ruins opinions by seeing only one truth. This is not about THAT artist.
I don't tolerate to whatever THAT artist draws and says.

so.
finally finished undertale red and yellow 2.0. (I say that knowing fully well it was only announced almost two days ago) and it was fucking incredible??? i played the original back a few months ago but.
I will always stand by this characterization of clover and chara and OOOH I loved all the parts where frisk sorta joined in. Like in the elevators in hotland or some other part I can't remember where it said they did a thumbs up. I love this trio. but I'd also like to talk about cocoapowder because if I thought I liked them before. MAN.
the way you can slowly see chara's sort of abrasive nature which is a little genuine at first turn to being a casual teasing and friendly banter between them and clover. the way some of clovers thinking starts to rub off onto chara and chara starts to acknowledge how nice offering support is and how it does genuinely help. the way that clover is sometimes forced to confront the other side of the argument and that not EVERYTHING is positive which is also a good thing to think about. clovers insistence on the journey mattering more than the ending, and chara refusing that until after the asriel fight where they talk about how they wish they could've seen how clovers journey went as much as they liked watching frisk's. also clover repeatedly talking about how much they like charas smile. charas clear upset after the asriel fight but they shove aside their hurt at them thinking clover is gone for frisks sake. just. all of it. wonderful.
and saving clover in the asriel fight??? awesome. I may have died once but I got there. i loved all the imagery and the way their check status changed from Executioner, to Judge, to Jury as they accept that they aren't necessarily responsible for doing anything and it separates themselves more from their justice and that they dont have to do everything themselves! thats not exactly what I was trying to say but I've been writing a lot recently and the words aren't coming to me. however. very cool. also the way you can see their fears in the fight. clover characterization.
and I haven't even talked about all the extra side content like my personal favorite the el bailador recorder rhythm game portion?? best 4 minutes of 2025 nothing will peak that. some of the other stuff like new home (the picture is making me insane) and the kanako portion in true lab was also sick. my playtime on my pacifist save ended up being 9 hours and 30 mintutes ish when the original red and yellow was around 4-5ish hours. i really. really needed to see every bit of dialogue i could.
i don't know how to end this off but I was live posting in my discord every single room almost their dialogue despite a promise that I'd only do it for dialogue I thought was REALLY cool so if that isn't telling I don't know what is. i just wanted to rant somewhere about the traumatized children mod
if I don't see a good ut red and yellow fic within the next few months, after I finish writing the current thing I'm working on. its so over.

Episode 1: The Robot Revolution
Tumblr media
Here we go again.
After his tumultous first season, Ncuti Gatwa is FINALLY back (about time) playing the 15th Doctor (or 33rd, depending on how you look at it). It's been a long wait for sure, and I don't know whether to keep my hopes up or down. But as an ever-forgiving entity, it's my duty to lean positive.
What I'm looking forward too the most is watchig Varada Sethu, an actress I've never seen on screen before (*edit: so I THOUGHT), so for her my opinion is quite literally the blankest slate in the history of slates.
And without further ado, here is the year's first Live Soul Reaction:
I KNOW GIRLS AREN'T GOOD AT MATHS? HELLO?
Her name is Belinda. I don't know how to feel about that - that's the oldest lady name on this planet.
I'd love to get a star but not from Alan.
What I've noticed lately is that the TARDIS is like - ACTIVELY FLYING AROUND more. Formerely it just materialsed everywhere or only flew around in the Time Vortex I think. I guess she's in her shooting star era.
Oh she's a NURSE? Martha Jones 2.0 my beloved.
Was it your wife. I love her already.
KILT!
Is she getting abducted?? This is giving 1980s. Where are the circles in the corn.
THEY KILLED THE CAT.
MRS FLOOD IT'S HER WHAT IS SHE DOING HER HEY NOW HEY NOW I FUCKING SAW YOU YOU BITCH
Oh I like that effect.
Missbelindrachandrakind. The Missbelindrachandrabots. Fucking finally.
The fucking AI GENERATOR. What the fucking BALLS is this.
Queen Machine, if you didn't know, is actually the foremost Queen tribute band. I've seen them once. Was lit.
That's actually quite smart. I like the 9 words thing.
Girl, of COURSE she died how are you surprised Doc.
Oh, he's such a pretty crier. OH I've missed this.
THAT'S HER??
WAIT THAT'S HER??? THAT WAS HER????? THAT WAS HER?????????????
an actress I've never seen on screen before my ass - SORRY GUYS I completely lied out of my ass what the balls
Did he just reference the new Kylie Minogue song.
"Timey wimey. Am I six?" (I LOVE HER) I needed some sarcasm in my life thank god.
"AHAHAHA No." Yes you are you liar
Hey Woah Belinda what are you doing?
ALAN'S THE ROBOT??? ALAN GENERATOR HAHAHAHHAHAHHA
HELP lowkey he deserved that.
If they pull a "something is strange with Belinda" and we get a Ruby Sunday ending I'm going to throw some hands. Belinda better be a special snowflake.
"Is that what you said to Sasha." Burn. BURN. Someone's finally calling out Doctor's shit. And I'm glad it's Belinda. Hey guys who wants to join my new Missbelindachandra Fan Club
How much do we want to bet that the thing repelling the TARDIS has something to do with Mrs Flood.
Woah. Wait What.
Very like Russel T Davies to leave us on a cliffhanger. And yet, I'm not left with any major dissapointment. Maybe it was my low hopes going in to this episode, but Honestly, I did quite like it. Guys, I'm quite liking Doctor Who. DOCTOR WHO IS QUITE LIKEABLE HAHHAYEHADUGGYDKDIPEGDP
Anyhow, props to Varada, sorry for not remembering you girlie but I've been awake since 3am, my facial recognition software hasn't updated. She seems like an amazing actress, and I'm really excited to see what comes next.
Cheers!
