I WANNA BE YOURS
Summary: Months after admiring the girl from afar, you finally begin your relationship together.
Warnings: smut and idk…
Words: 9.3k
A/N: Longest imagine ive ever wrote. So please bare with me i did not edit or revise this
Vada Cavell x Footballer!GP! Reader
You walk through the crowded hallways, a black bookbag hanging off your shoulder. You look around and see the people you know, and those you don't. You make your way to your classroom, immediately recognized by your best friend. "There she is!" He shouts from his seat, raising his hands in the air.
"Ethan... it's like eight in the morning. Why are you shouting?" He laughs and pats the seat next to him. You take your seat and start to unpack your bag. "Coach cancelled practice for today. Something about giving us time to mentally prepare for the game."
You raise an eyebrow in surprise. "That's so unlike him." Ethan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but I'm not complaining. It's nice to have a day off."
"Wanna hang out after school?" You ask, placing your notebook on your desk. The brown-haired boy leans into his chair, a smug smile on his face. "No, can do."
A smile makes its way on your face. "What's that look for?"
He shrugs, "Oh, nothing. It's just that Mia Reed and I are going to this Taylor Lift concert together."
You snort at the mess up of the Singer's name. "You mean Swift?" He rolls his eyes. "Yes, that's what I said, Taylor Swift." You shake your head, amused. "Just don't make that mistake in front of Mia."
Ethan has had a crush on Mia since middle school. But he's always been too scared to talk to her, so he'd always comment and support her dance videos on Instagram. He would often try to find ways to run into her, but he could never find the courage to talk to her.
"Wait," You furrow your eyebrows, turning to Ethan completely. "How did you even finesse a date with Mia Reed?" Ethan smiles and shrugs. "What do they say again? Drunk words are sober thoughts?"
You shake your head and laugh. "I was drunk out of my mind during Max's spring break party, and then I saw Mia... and I just went for it." You had seen Mia around school but had never actually talked to her.
You were surprised that she even agreed to go out with him. Ethan could be surprisingly daring when he wanted to be. "You're a brave guy," he holds up a finger. "A brave drunk guy!"
"Also you'd never believe who else I seen at Max's party." "Who?" you asked, curious. He grinned, "Fucking baby Adam Sandler, Vada!"
You stared in disbelief. "You're such a liar." He shakes his head, sitting up in his seat. "Bro! I swear to god! She was there! In her oversized clothes and everything."
You narrowed your eyes at him, still skeptical. He laughs at your facial expression, "Maybe if you had gone then you could've seen yourself." He says in a sing-song tone.
You shake your head and turn away, still unconvinced. He laughs again, "Well, believe me, or not, I'm telling the truth." He shrugs.
Your teacher then walks into the classroom. You glance back at him, trying to figure out if he's telling the truth. He winks at you and turns away, leaving you unsure. As your teacher brings the lesson your mind wanders off.
Vada Cavell, whose last name you only found out due to her Instagram page. Kind of like Ethan, you've been liking Vada for a while but never built up the courage to talk to her or ask her out.
It's been months of admiring her from afar. She was beautiful in person and you found yourself totally mesmerized by her. You liked the way she dressed, unbothered by how anyone else thought of it, you liked the way her smile lit up the room.
You just had to talk to her, but you hesitated. You felt like you could never measure up to her. You wondered if she could ever like you, too.
You only seen Vada talk to her friends from the beginning of the year. It was Nick, Mia, and Quinton. You felt like an outsider, not part of their group.
You were too shy to approach her, and you were afraid of getting rejected. You also felt like you were the total opposite of Vada's type, so you decided to stay on the sidelines and admire her from a distance. You wanted to get to know her but you weren't sure how to start a conversation.
The rest of the day went by fast. Before you knew it you were back home, greeted by your cat and your mom. "Hey, honey. You're home early."
Your mom speaks up from the kitchen, while your cat rubs itself against your leg. Taking off your jacket and bookbag, you smile and reply. "Yeah, coach cancelled practice." You give your cat a few scratches before heading off to the kitchen to join your mom.
"Really? That's surprising." You laugh, peeking into the pot your mom was stirring. "Yeah, that's what I said."
"What are you making?" you ask, taking a seat at the kitchen table. "Spaghetti." She smiles, adding stuff to the pot. You feel a wave of warmth wash over you as the familiar smell of your mom's cooking fills the kitchen.
You watch as she expertly moves around the kitchen, adding ingredients to the pot. "I have to work late tonight, so I figured I'll start dinner early." She stirs the contents and you can smell the delicious aromas wafting from the pot. She gives you a smile, and you are grateful that she is willing to take the time to make dinner for the both of you.
"Ma, you should be resting. I can cook dinner." She waves her hand at you dismissively. "I want to do this. After all, it's my job to take care of you."
She pours some more ingredients into the pot, and the smell of the food intensifies. "What if I got a job? So you don't have to work late shifts anymore?" You suggest, a frown on your face.
She pauses for a moment, before shaking her head. "No, you need to focus on your studies and football. You worked hard for your starting spot, honey." She smiles sadly at you, before stirring the pot and humming a song.
She stops, "Now, go take a shower. It's almost finished." You nod and walk away, feeling a bit defeated. You know she only wants the best for you, but it's still hard to hear. You take a deep breath and head for the bathroom.
You take a long shower, letting the hot water wash away the disappointment. You remind yourself that you are doing your best and that will have to be enough.
Taking a deep breath, you step out of the shower and head back into the kitchen. After eating dinner with your mom, you begin scrolling through Instagram and TikTok. You soon find yourself laughing at memes and videos, allowing yourself to forget the stresses of the day for a few moments.
Hours pass and you soon realize it's time for bed. You turn off your phone and crawl into bed, just as you're about to drift off to sleep, your phone dings. It was a message from Ethan.
ethan - best fucking concert ever
ethan - im officially a swiftie
ethan - taylor's songs are anthems for my life. everything she does is iconic. she's my queen.
you - i'm guessing it went well with mia?
ethan - well? it went amazing bro
ethan - she wanted to hang out tmr but she has plans w adam sandler
you - oh thats a shame
ethan - omg i jus got the best idea evr
you - which is
ethan - A DOUBLE DATE
you - ethan no.
You place down your phone, and it vibrates from the amount of messages you're receiving. You lay back down, but of course, your phone starts ringing. And it's Ethan, obviously.
You sigh, but you pick up the call anyway. "Listen to me! It's a great idea!" He shouts through the speakers of your phone, You groan and roll your eyes, but you can't help but be amused. You reply, "Okay, I'm listening."
Ethan begins to explain his idea in more detail, "Okay look! If I text Mia, right now saying what if me and you both go to the arcade with them, she'll be like sure! Then that means I get to hang out with Mia and you finally get to meet Vada."
Ethan smiled, knowing he had found the perfect plan. You chew the inside of your cheeks, debating if you should agree to Ethan's plan. You take a deep breath and finally give in, deciding that this could be the start of something good.
He quickly texts Mia, and after a few moments, she replies agreeing. "Looks like we got ourselves a double date." Ethan and Mia started to chat excitedly about the date, and you couldn't help but feel a bit of excitement as well. You hadn't been on a date in a while and it felt like a new adventure. But was this actually a date, or just a way to hang out with friends? You weren't sure.
You woke up to a shout of your name. You quickly scrambled out of bed and rushed to the living room. There was your mom standing in the doorway with a wide grin on her face and Ethan right beside her.
"Ethan's here." You send a tired smile to your mom, "How was work?" She shrugs, "It was alright. Come here and give Ethan a hug." You side-eye Ethan, who opens his arms wide, a goofy smile on his face.
"C'mon Y/N/N! Hug me!" You reluctantly walk over and give Ethan a hug. He squeezes you tightly and laughs. Your mom smiles, watching the two of you before turning to head upstairs. Ethan lets you go and gives you a pat on the back.
You take a few steps back and he grins at you. You smile back, "Why are you here so early?" Ethan shrugs, "Your mom said it was okay. Plus it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon." You nod, and Ethan takes a seat on the couch.
He looks around and then turns back to you, "So, what have you been up to today?" You shrug, "Not much. Sleeping."
"I can tell," he motions his hands above his head, basically telling you your hair was a mess. You laugh and run your hand through your hair, trying to tame it. You look back at Ethan and smile, "What about you? What have you been up to?" He grins, "Talking to Mia."
"Oh, really?" You raise your eyebrows. "And what did she have to say?" He shrugs. "She said that they'll be at the arcade at around six."
You nod, sitting down on the couch as well. "Wanna watch The Walking Dead?" He nods and smiles. "Sure, let's watch it!" You grab the remote and search for the show getting comfortable on the couch. The episode starts with a bang, and you both settle in to watch.
Two hours later, you two are still glued to the screen, eagerly awaiting the next plot twist. Once the episode ends, you turn to your friend and say, "Shit! What time is it?"
Ethan, eyes wide, checks his watch and gasps. "We have to go, now!" He exclaims. You both jump up but you pause, "Wait! I gotta shower, do my hair-"
"Less talking and more doing!" Ethan pushes you to the stairs, and you begin sprinting up them, almost running into your mom. She steps aside to let you pass, a mix of surprise and amusement on her face as she watches you go.
Quickly you take a shower and change into a clean set of clothes. Not before fixing your hair and spraying on cologne, you head downstairs, ready and excited. Ethan is waiting for you, a satisfied smirk on his face, and together you leave.
When you arrive at the arcade you see Mia and Vada. Mia's smiling and waving excitedly at you both while Vada kicks a nearby rock. You both walk over and Mia gives Ethan a big hug.
Vada stands off to the side, her arms crossed but a small smile on her face. You look around and see the arcade bustling with activity, and you know you're in for a night of fun. "Hey, guys!" Ethan says, smiling. You look at Vada, and your heart beats like crazy.
"Hey, Vada." She smiles. "Ready for a night of fun?" she asks, her eyes twinkling. You can only nod as you follow the couple into the arcade. Almost immediately, Ethan and Mia go off and do their own thing leaving you and Vada alone.
Vada points to a game ahead of you. "Let's see who can get the highest score," she says with a mischievous smile. You nod and the two of you start to play. After a few minutes of intense competition, Vada ends up with the highest score.
She laughs and celebrates her victory, and you can't help but smile widely. "If I knew you were such a sore winner I would've tried harder." Vada gives you a playful shove and giggles. "You'll have to try harder next time!" she says. The two of you soon move on to the next game.
In watching you press the start button, Vada admits, "I'm bad at basketball." You pick up a ball, looking at her smiling. "That's ok, I'm pretty bad at it too," you reply. She furrows her eyebrows, "I thought you played basketball?" You shoot the ball, and it doesn't even hit the rim.
"Actually-" She starts, and you let out a loud laugh. She joins in your laughter. "I play football," you say continuing the shoot the remaining balls in front of you.
"But like aren't you supposed to at least have good accuracy? A blind person could shoot better than you." You chuckle, "I'm more of a receiver, not a quarterback." You shoot the last ball which ends up bouncing out of the cage from hitting the rim.
You catch the ball easily, placing it down. She shakes her head and grins. "I stand by my statement. You're terrible." She presses the button, picking up the basketball in front of her. "Watch and learn."
The first one she shoots goes in, "Lucky shot." You mumble, and she smiles in response. The second one also goes in, and the third and fourth too. "You lied to me. You said you sucked." She laughs, and sets up the next shot. "I never said I was suck, I just said I was bad." She takes the shot and it swishes through the net. "What the fuck?"
She turns to you and grins. "You see? I told you I was bad, not suck." You can only stare in amazement as she lines up the next shot and scores again. She laughs and walks away, leaving you in awe. "You lied!" You yell out as you follow her. She laughs again. "I'll let you in on a secret."
She stops and turns around, her face serious. "In order to score all the shots, you have to aim for the back of the rim. And then once you do that, calculate how much power you're putting into your shot. That way you'll be able to get a better idea of the trajectory the ball will take. And you'll have a better chance of making the shot." You squint your eyes at the girl, tilting your head a bit.
She bites her lip in response. Adorable, she thinks. "How do you know all of that? Or like, how'd you even figure that out?" She shrugs, a smirk playing on her lips. "I came here before with Quinton." Your eyes widen in surprise. "Really? You two are...close?"
"We're friends." Is all she says. She looks away and takes a deep breath. "But yeah, he's a good friend." She smiles and looks back up at you, her eyes twinkling. "Wanna get something to drink?"
You nod and smile, and the two of you head to grab a drink. "Look, I'm gonna show you how to make the best slushie you'll ever fucking taste in your life." You grab a cup, joining Vada in front of the slushie machine.
Vada begins to explain the steps, and you find yourself getting more and more invested in the process. You join in, and together you prepare the perfect slushie. You take a sip and it's everything Vada promised. "Wow."
"Right!" Vada grins with satisfaction. Your eyes look around the arcade and you notice Ethan and Mia shooting water blasters at the target together. "You know, they're kind of cute together." Vada looks at the two, nodding in agreement. "It was bound to happen eventually. She's been crushing on the guy since sixth grade."
You furrow your eyebrows, your head snapping at the shorter girl next to you. "Really? Ethan too!" Vada laughs, a smile on her face. "That's crazy. It's been obvious to everyone but them." She turns back to the two, watching them laugh and shoot water blasters in sync. "They just need to tell each other how they feel."
"I mean...It's not that simple." You say, taking another sip of your slushie. Vada shrugs. "It's worth a try. I mean, what have they got to lose?" You shake your head. "I don't know. It's a risk they might not want to take."
You're beginning to wonder if you're talking about Ethan or yourself. Vada looks at you with a knowing look. "You never know. Sometimes taking a risk can be the best thing to do." You take a deep breath, considering her words. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"I'm glad you agreed to come, I would've been third-wheeling the entire night." You laugh, "I'm glad I came too." You never know. Sometimes taking a risk can be the best thing to do. Vada's words basically repeat in your head, "I uh, I've actually been wanting to talk to you for a while." You admit.
She looks surprised but pleased. "Really? I had no idea!" You nod and smile, feeling relieved that you finally said it. "Yeah! I just didn't know how to approach you." She smiles, her dimples appearing on her cheeks. "Dude, it's not like I would've bit you if you tried to make a conversation with me."
You both laugh and the tension between you dissipates. She looks at you, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "So, what do you want to talk about?" You shrug, using your straw to stir around your drink. "Favorite color?"
"Easy. All of them." She smiles and takes a sip of her drink. "I guess I can't argue with that. Favourite movie?" She pauses for a moment, thinking. "It's hard to pick just one, but I think it's The Staircase. I watched it a thousand times." You hum, "I've never watched it before."
"Wait, what?" She shakes her head in disbelief. "You have to watch it. It's a classic!" You shrug. "I'll watch it. What's it about?" She grins. "It's about this white guy who murders his second wife, and probably his first wife, and gets away with both."
You look at her, surprised. "That sounds intense. Is it a true story?" She laughs. "No, it's a movie. You'll love it. What's yours?"
You open your mouth to speak but she cuts you off. "Lemme guess. Tom Brady Documentary: True Stories." You start to laugh. "Yeah, that's it. It's a classic." She laughs. "See, I knew it!"
"But actually, it has to be How To Build a Better Boy." You say, watching her face to see her reaction. She looks shocked, "Wait that one sappy Disney movie?"
"It's not sappy." She laughs, "Yeah, right. I'm sure it's full of life lessons and cheesy dialogues." You smirk, "Maybe, but it's still worth watching."
She shakes her head, "I don't believe you. There's no way it can be that good." You shrug, "Trust me. I promise you won't regret it." Vada takes another sip of her drink, only to realize she's finished it. She looks up at you with a questioning gaze.
You smile and offer her some of your drink. "Trust me how I trusted you to make this drink." Vada hesitates, then takes the drink from you. "Okay. I'll watch it tonight, and then first thing in the morning I'll tell you if it was good or bad."
You nod and watch her take a sip. "You'd need my number for that." She smiles, takes out her phone and hands it to you. You add your number, then hand it back. "I'll be waiting for your call then." You wink and she laughs, taking another sip of the drink.
Ethan and Mia make their way toward you two, smiles on their faces. "You guys ready to go?" You both nod, and you all make your way out of the arcade. You all walk out, the cool night air bringing a sense of peace. You and the girl share a glance, and she smiles. You both head to your respective cars and drive off in different directions.
"How was it with Vada?" You reply, "It was great. She's a really cool girl." Ethan smiles and you ask him how it went with Mia. "We had our first kiss." Ethan's face lit up with excitement. "WHEN?"
He shyly looks away and replies, "Just a few minutes ago. You missed it being too oo la la with Vada." You roll your eyes smiling and give him a high five. Ethan grins and says, "It was amazing." He then pulls out of the parking lot, turning on his blinker and making a left towards your place.
Meanwhile, in Mia's car, she and Vada are talking about you. Mia teases Vada about her crush on you. Vada blushes and laughs, still a little embarrassed. "I mean she's cute and I can tell she really likes you."
Vada looked away, still blushing. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said, laughing. Mia just smiled and shook her head. As soon as Vada got home she was questioned by her mom.
Vada quickly changed the subject, not wanting her mom to know what had happened. Vada's mother gave her a knowing look but didn't press the issue. Instead, she just said, "Well, I'm glad you had a good time." Vada smiled and nodded, grateful that her mom hadn't pushed the matter any further.
She fell against the couch, hesitating before turning on How To Build a Better Boy, your favourite movie. The movie started and Vada felt a sense of relief as her mom left the room. She curled up in her blanket and let herself get lost in the movie.
"Perfect boy but his name is Albert! And how'd he get a car...plus why'd he just throw his keys to a random guy?" Vada mumbles to herself, confused at the logic of the movie.
She giggled at the absurdity of it all, hoping the movie would eventually make sense. Despite the silliness, she couldn't help but be drawn in by the characters and their stories. Vada watched with anticipation as the movie unfolded, eager to find out what would happen next.
Until Amelia comes down, standing in front of the TV. Vada groans at her little sister, "Dude. I'm trying to watch something." Amelia turns to her with a small frown, "I wanna watch too." Vada reluctantly scoots over to make room for her, rolling her eyes in an attempt to hide her growing smile. They cuddle up on the couch, ready for whatever the movie had in store.
The sisters watched the movie, laughing and pointing out silly things until it was time for bed. Vada tucked Amelia in, giving her a hug and a kiss on the forehead, before heading off to dreamland herself.
When you woke up in the morning the first thing you did was grab your phone, checking for any recent messages. You felt a wave of disappointment as you saw that no one had messaged you. You decided to go downstairs to make breakfast.
Your mom had already left for work, so it was just you and your cat, Goose. You started making a simple omelet. It was one of your go-to recipes. But gosh, was it delicious.
As you ate the omelet, you had a moment of peace, just you and your cat, and the warm and comforting taste of the omelet. Goose jumps onto the table, meowing in your face. "Goose down."
Goose meows in protest, but eventually jumps off the table. You take a deep breath, savouring the last bite of the omelet. You look down at Goose and smile, "I'll make sure to give you a treat later." Goose purrs in response, contentedly rubbing against your leg. You get up to clean the kitchen, and your phone goes off in the middle of the dishes.
xxx-xxx-xxxx - ok. i'd admit it's a very good movie
You smile, she had finally texted you.
you - see it's not sappy, but a work of art
vada - i wouldnt take it that far
you - lol, i still have to watch the stairless
Three dots appear on the screen, then disappear. You frown, continuing to wash the dishes. You pause and turn off the water, drying your hands. You pick up your phone again, Vada had texted back.
vada - we could watch it at my place
you - when?
vada - today if u want
you - ok sure
you - send me ur address
You ring the doorbell, shifting your weight from one leg to the other anxiously. "Mom! Do not open the-" The muffled voice stops once the door is swung open. You stand there, frozen, unable to move. The blonde woman smiles at you, "Hi! You must be Vada's friend. Mia is it?" You shake your head, hearing a groan come from inside the house. "Mom, this is Y/N."
You smile awkwardly, feeling embarrassed. Mom chuckled and stepped aside, motioning for you to come in. You nervously step inside, smiling at the woman who let you in.
Vada sends you a wave which you return, placing your hands in your pocket. You take a deep breath as you take in your surroundings. The home was warm and inviting, with decorations all around the place.
You follow Vada, who leads you to the living room. She offers you a seat and you sit down, feeling somewhat more at ease. "Sorry about that." You wave it off, "It's fine. She seems sweet."
"If sweet means extremely noisy and out of touch with this generation, then yes. She's very sweet." Vada sighs and sits down on the couch next to you. You can't help but laugh at her comment. She shakes her head and smiles. "She means well, I suppose." She says with a shrug.
You lean further back into the red couch, as Vada picks up the remote turning on The Stairless. Vada and you sit back and watch the movie, exchanging comments and laughs. Time passes quickly, and soon enough you both find yourselves lost in the story. "Off the bat, I knew he killed his first wife." You laugh, slightly turning your head to Vada. "I'm telling you, he did it!" Vada exclaimed.
You both chuckle and then continued watching the movie. As the movie plays, the closer you two get. Now leaning into each other, you can feel the warmth of Vada's body as your hands occasionally brush against each other.
Your conversations become more meaningful, and the laughs become genuine. The movie fades away, and all that's left is the two of you, living in the moment.
As the credits rolled, you both looked at each other in amazement. "That was one hell of a movie," you say. "I told you. That movie is the shit." You sit up a bit, your shoulder brushing against Vadas. "Okay, rate How to Build a Better Boy and then I'll rate this."
Vada takes a moment to think, then finally responds. "It was an 8/10 for me," she says. "I really enjoyed it. How about mine?" You pause to consider the movie before finally saying, "Hmm, I'd give it a 9/10. Definitely worth watching again."
Vada grins. "I knew you'd like it." She leans back against the couch and stretches her arms out. "I'm glad we got to watch it together." You give her a smile and nod in agreement.
You give her a smile and nod in agreement. You both take a few minutes to relax in the comfortable silence. Then, you break it.
"I'm really craving one of your slushies." Vada laughs. "Wanna get one?" You nod and she jumps up, pulling you up from the couch. "Let's get Albert!" Furrowing your eyebrows, you both head out the door. "Albert?"
Vada laughs again. "I was thinking about it and you literally are the fully human version of him, except you don't really look alike." You roll your eyes, but you can't help but laugh. "Albert's a douche, I'm not a douche."
Vada snorts as you unlock your chair door, getting inside together. "Albert is not a douche. He's a sweet young boy who cares about his girlfriend, and he's really good at football."
You can't help but smile, shaking your head. "Yeah, okay, maybe he's not a douche." Vada grins as you start the engine. "Exactly. So therefore you're Albert." You chuckle and put the car in gear. "Are you trying to say that I'm perfect and really good at football?"
She laughs."No, I'm saying you're not a douche. Now let's go! The slurpies are calling my name." You roll your eyes and drive away, the two of you laughing as you go.
Since that day you've been texting Vada non-stop. She doesn't seem to mind it either. You feel like you can talk to her about anything. And to add to that, you've also been talking during school. Vada had even come over to meet your cat, when your mom was at work. You two have become really close over the past few weeks. Every day you look forward to talking to her and spending time with her. You can't help but feel like you are falling for her.
"Are you coming to my game tonight?" Vada smiled at you and nodded. You felt your heart flutter. You knew for sure, you were starting to fall in love. "Yeah, of course. Even though I barely understand football." You laugh at her response, leaning into the lockers. She smiles back, her eyes twinkling. "I'll explain the rules to you," you say, your voice soft as it can be. Vada can feel her heart skip a beat, and you smile at her.
She looked away for a moment, then back into your eyes. "But if you don't carry four people on your shoulders and score like Albert, then I'm leaving mid-game." She jokes causing you to smile. You tried to think of a witty reply, but all you could do was laugh. "I'll try my best."
She smiled and put her hand on your shoulder. "That's all I ask." She patted your shoulder and walked away. You watched her leave, feeling content with your exchange. Ethan, who you didn't notice was behind you places a hand on your shoulder.
You jump in surprise. "Jesus!" He laughs. "You should relax, man. I didn't mean to scare you." He removed his hand and stepped back. You take a deep breath and let it out, relieved.
"What were you guys talking about?" You shrug, "Nothing important. She's coming to our game tonight." Ethan's eyes widen in shock, "Are you serious?" "Yeah, why?" You reply, slightly confused. He shakes his head, "Nothing, just... Mia asked herself and Vada said no."
"Hm..." You hum, unsure of what to take from the situation. "I don't know maybe she changed her mind last second." A goofy smile makes its way onto Ethan's face, "Or maybeeeeee... she likes you."
You look away, blushing. "No way," you say, shaking your head. "She's definitely not interested in me that way." Ethan gives you a knowing look. "You've been talking for weeks. I've seen the way she looks at you," he says. "You should ask her out dude." You hesitate, not sure if you should take his advice.
The bell rings, and you look at Ethan with a smirk. "Saved by the bell." Ethan rolls his eyes and laughs. "Just ask her," he says, and you cover your ears humming as you walk through the hallway.
"Check, check! Elvis, Elvis!" Ethan yells. You look at the cornerback in front of you, and give Ethan a thumbs up. You take a deep breath and get into your stance. You know that if you can get past the cornerback, and potentially win your team some yards. You focus on the cornerback and wait for the snap.
The snap comes and you explode off the line. You easily beat the cornerback and break into the open field. You know you have a chance to make a big play and you sprint as fast as you can. Ethan throws the ball to you, and you catch it successfully.
Only making it to the 45-yard line before you're tackled. The crowd erupts in cheers as you get up from the tackle, smiling. You know you've made a huge play and energized your team. As you jog back to the huddle, you can feel the momentum shifting in your favour.
The team regroups and prepares for the next play. Everyone is pumped up and ready to take it to the end zone. Ethan calls the next play and the team breaks the huddle, ready for action. Ethan snaps the ball, handing it off to the running back who earns just about 8 yards from the play. It's third down, and you need 10 more yards to get to first.
Ethan calls out the next play and the team runs it perfectly. The running back manages to break free and run for 20 yards, giving the team a first down. The team cheers in excitement as they get a fresh set of downs and move closer to the end zone. "Y/N," you perk up at the sound of your name, "Be ready." You nod as Ethan pats your helmet.
You take a deep breath as you prepare yourself for the next play. You watch as Ethan signals the play and the team begins running it. You run up to the line of scrimmage, ready to make your move.
You see a gap in the defence and make your move, sprinting forward. You catch the football with both hands and take off, running for the endzone. You feel the wind in your face as you cross the goal line and score the touchdown.
The crowd erupts in cheers as you spike the ball in celebration. You jog back to the sidelines, feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride. You know you just made a game-winning play.
Meanwhile, Vada is in the stands beside Mia yelling, "GOAALLLLLLLLL!" Mia and Vada jump up and down excitedly, hugging each other in joy. The crowd continues to cheer as you take off your helmet and raise your arm in triumph. You feel a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that your hard work has paid off.
You wave to your mom who waves back, a huge smile on her face. "That's what I'm talking about!" Your coach saying patting your back. You take off your helmet, rubbing the sweat off your forehead with your towel. "Just one more touchdown and we've made it to the playoffs, baby."
You take a moment to take in the sound of the cheering crowd and the feel of the cool night air. The team gathers together in a huddle, the defensive team heading onto the field.
As the players take their positions on the field, the energy in the stadium is palpable. The coaches call out the plays and the team readies for the snap. The opposite team's quarterback takes the ball and the game resumes.
Thankfully your defensive side was able to stop the other team, and you're back on the field. Your team huddles up and the coach gives the next play. You take your position and get ready for the snap. As the ball is snapped, you make your move and the play is underway.
You make a break for the end zone, dodging and weaving past the other team's defence. Catching the ball with ease, you can feel the cheers of the crowd getting louder as you get closer. You feel someone hop on your back, but you continue running.
You keep going until you cross the goal line and score the winning touchdown. The crowd erupts as you raise your arms in victory. You look back to see your opponent still on your back, frustrated and disappointed.
The referee quickly signals for a touchdown and you can see the joy on your teammates' faces. You look back at your opponent and offer a friendly handshake to congratulate them on a good game. The team celebrates your victory as the crowd continues to roar.
You run to the sidelines, ecstatic about the win. The coaches congratulate you on your performance and the team gathers for a group hug. You look into the stands and see Vada staring back at you, her mouth open in shock. You take off your helmet, dropping it on the ground before holding up a heart.
Vada smiles and laughs, she mimes a heart back to you, and you smile widely. Ethan brings you into a tight hug, patting your back, "HELL YEAH!" You finally feel the euphoria of a victory. You had worked so hard and it had all paid off.
You look back at the field one last time, taking in the feeling of success before you turn to join your team in their celebration. You have made it, and nothing can take this moment away from you.
Moments pass and the entire team makes its way into the locker room. Everyone is in high spirits, laughing, hugging and even dancing to the sound of the music playing in the background. You can't help but smile, happy about the win.
As the team disperses, the coach takes you aside. He looks you in the eye and says "I'm proud of you. Great job today." You feel a thank him before leaving the locker room, walking outside to the front of the school building.
Ethan, Mia, and Vada are already there waiting. Once Vada sees you she runs to you, basically jumping into your arms. You hug her tightly, feeling a warmth inside. "You did it!" She shouts, her eyes bright with excitement.
"You like actually carried that guy onto your back? I told you you're Albert!" You laugh and hug her again. "Thanks, Vada." You are interrupted by a throat being cleared, and it's your mom.
"Hey, Ma." Your mom smiles at you, holding out her arms and you step into them, contentment washing over you. She pulls away slightly, with a proud smile and says, "You should be proud of yourself, Y/N. You did something remarkable today."
You smile, feeling a warmth in my chest. "I'm glad you think so," She hugs you again and says, "I always have, sweetheart. Now go hang out with your friends." You smile wider, feeling a warmth in your chest and your eyes start to mist.
You hug her tightly and thank her, before turning to go. You pause for a moment and look back, feeling so thankful for the unconditional love you have been given.
"TIME TO PARTYYYYY!" Ethan shouts from beside Mia, who joins him. You shake your head at the two, turning to Vada who raises her head, joining in as well. You can't help but laugh at their enthusiasm and join in, feeling the energy of the night.
The four of you make your way towards Max's house. He's known for throwing the best parties at your school, but you've never gone to any of them. You've never really had a reason to, but now you kind of do.
You knock on the door and Max welcomes you all in. The house is filled with people, and loud music and the air is thick with laughter and energy. You can feel a sense of anticipation and excitement as you all take in the scene.
You look around and take it all in, feeling a bit overwhelmed but excited. You make your way through the crowd, looking for a place to sit down and relax. You finally find a spot and settle in, ready to enjoy the party. "No way you're sitting down at a party," Vada says from beside you. You swallow your drink before sending a small smile at her.
She grins and grabs your hand, leading you to the dining room. "We're gonna play beer pong. I hope you have better accuracy."
"Any challengers?" A dark-haired boy says from the other side of the table, his friend close by. "Yeah." You speak up, wrapping an arm around Vada's shoulders. "Me and her," Vada smiles, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Ready to go?" you ask, and she nods.
The boy nods, "Okay. But just know beer pong is my calling." You and Vada exchange a knowing look, and you set up the table. The game begins and you soon find yourself in a heated battle with the dark-haired boy.
It's drink after drink, throw after throw, and soon the game is over. The boy is declared the winner with a triumphant grin on his face. Vada and you exchange an impressed look and congratulate him on his victory.
"I can't believe he won that." You mutter, a bit tipsy. Vada shakes her head, "I can. You still suck at aiming balls into stuff." You laugh and throw your hands up in defeat. "You're right, I do. But maybe I'll get better one day." You continue following Vada around the party until she suggests something.
"Wanna get high?" You look around the party and then back at Vada, "Let's do it." She smiles and grabs your hand, leading you away from the party. You quickly found a secluded corner outside, and she produced a joint from her pocket. Taking a lighter from her other pocket, "You always have a lighter and a joint in your pocket?"
She laughed, "No but... I knew I'd be going to this party. I wanted to prepare myself." You hum with a nod, Vada's eyes leave the joint before meeting yours. "Have you done this before?" You shake your head, "No. I haven't.."
She smiles, takes the joint and takes a deep breath. "It's ok, I'll show you how."Vada inhaled, and slowly exhaled. She passed the joint back to you and said, "Just take a tiny puff. Don't hold it in, just let it out." You took the joint and followed her advice. You felt a tingle in your chest as the smoke lingered in the air. You coughed a bit, but it was a good feeling. You exhaled and smiled. "See? Not so bad."
You handed the joint back to Vada, feeling a bit more at ease. You sit down on the grass, and Vada joins you laughing. "Just wait till it hits." You close your eyes and lean your head back, savouring the moment.
You feel the warm sun on your skin and the cool grass beneath you. You can feel the effects of the marijuana start to take hold, and a peaceful calm overtakes you. "I wonder what kind of high you'll be."
"There kinds?" You smile and nod, feeling content. "There's the body high, the mental high, and the spiritual high. Each one has its own unique experience." You take a deep breath and sigh, feeling the effects of the marijuana wash over you.
You close your eyes and relax, feeling the tension in your body slowly dissipate. You smile, feeling a sense of peace and clarity that you hadn't felt in a long time. You open your eyes and take another deep breath, feeling a deep sense of connection to the world around you.
"I wonder who wrote the script for How to Build a Better Boy," Vada's eyes widen. She can't believe that's what you're talking about mid-smoke. You laugh and shrug. "It's just something I thought of. I was just trying to relax." She smiles, understanding. "Well, it seems like it worked. You look much calmer now."
You take a deep breath and smile. "Yeah, I guess it did. I'm glad I was able to take my mind off things for a bit." Vada nods in agreement, then takes a deep drag from the joint. You both take a moment to enjoy the silence and the feeling of companionship.
You turn to the shorter girl, smiling. "I wanna kiss you. Badly, I've been wanting to kiss you, but now I just really really really-" You're cut off by a pair of lips onto yours. You close your eyes and kiss her back, savouring the moment. When you pull away, you can't help but smile.
You look into her eyes and feel a warmth inside you that you never thought was possible. "I've been wanting to kiss you too." You smile wider, bringing her back into an intense kiss.
Bringing the girl into your lap, gripping her waist tightly. You can feel her heart pounding against your own. You can feel her body relax into your embrace as you kiss her more passionately. You don't know if this is just Vada or the cannabis you've inhaled, but this is definitely one of the best kisses you've had.
She pulls away and smiles at you, her eyes twinkling. You can feel the electricity between you, like something that will never be broken. You know this moment will stay with you forever.
She leans in and whispers in your ear, "I love you." You can feel your heart swell at the words. You hold her close and whisper back, "I love you too." Everything around you fades away and all that is left is the two of you in this moment. You kiss her tenderly as your hearts beat in unison.
"You've gotta be quiet!" Vada whisper yells at you, trying her best to support your weight. You nod and press your lips together, trying your best to muffle the sound of your breathing.
You feel Vada's arms tremble as she carries you through the darkness. You can sense her fear. "Ma is probably..." You start snoring and begin laughing at your own joke.
Hopefully, your mother is sleeping because of the way you're acting right now, she'd definitely tell if you're not sober. Vada stops walking and scolds you.
She tells you to keep quiet and you quickly apologize. You try to remain quiet for the remainder of the journey, but you can't help but feel a bit of excitement as you approach your bedroom.
On the second to last step, there's a creaking noise. You both tense up at the sound, waiting there a few moments before resuming your movements.
"Are we gonna make out, V?" Vada blushes, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Shh, we're almost to your room." You make it to the room, closing the door behind you. Vada then pushes you onto the bed, plopping down beside you with a heavy sigh.
You begin giggling, turning to the girl beside you. She smiles, leaning in closer. You close your eyes, feeling her warm breath on your face. You both press your lips together, eagerly exploring each other.
Your heart races as you feel her hands on your back. You break away, looking into her eyes. You both share a knowing smile, "Are you sober enough to consent?" You nod, "Yes. Now hurry... sober thoughts and drunk thoughts."
Vada laughs at your mess-up, fuck it. She was high as hell as well. She was just handling it way better than you.
You both kissed again, feeling the warmth as your bodies pressed against each other. You felt the alcohol between you, but you both knew that you were sober enough to make a conscious decision. Your hearts were pounding as you embraced each other, both of you eager for more.
You pull away, climbing onto of Vada. Vada smiles up at you as you look deep into her eyes. You lean in and kiss them passionately, your hands exploring her body. You two stay like this for what feels like an eternity, until finally you pull away, and you begin undressing.
You throw your hoodie away, and try to rip apart your white tank top but fail. Vada notices your frustration and giggles, then helps you take off your tank top, revealing your toned abs. She smiles, before reaching up and kissing you again.
She then fumbles with the buttons of your pants, and pulls them down, before pushing you onto the bed. She climbs on top of you, and begins to passionately kiss your neck and chest. You can feel her hands trailing up and down your body as she continues to kiss you.
She moves her hands to your back and pulls you closer. You can feel her breath on your skin as she whispers into your ear. She then moves her lips to yours and you become lost in the moment.
You pull away slightly, "Vada take off your damn clothes." You say fiddling with her shirt. She complies taking off her bra as well. Your mouth moves to her chest, kissing, licking and suckling as your hands wander to her shorts. You slip them off her hips, leaving her in just her panties.
She moans in pleasure as you continue your ministrations.
You move your hands further down, gently stroking her inner thighs. You pause, taking in her beauty before slowly slipping off her panties.
She smiles at you, her desire and anticipation palpable in the air. "My heart is racing so much," she admits, smiling. "Mine too," you reply, leaning in to kiss her.
Her lips are soft and inviting, and you can feel the heat of her body radiating around you. You both lose yourself in the moment, the anticipation of what's to come envelops you both.
You flip her over, laying her on her back. You begin to explore her body with your hands. Her skin is soft and smooth beneath your fingertips. She moans softly, her eyes closed in pleasure. "Y/N..."
You move your hands up and down her body, exploring every inch of her. She gasps softly as you reach her most sensitive areas. You press your lips against her clit, sending waves of pleasure through her body.
She grabs hold of your hair, her moans getting louder as you keep going. You feel her body quiver beneath you as you continue to pleasure her, her breathing becoming rapid and her body shaking with pleasure.
You can feel her nearing her climax and you increase the intensity of your motions, pushing her over the edge. Her body convulses with pleasure as she reaches her orgasm. "Ohmygod."
You kiss her body as she recovers from her orgasm, her breathing slowly returning to normal. She looks up at you with a satisfied smile, her eyes still filled with pleasure. You return her smile, happy to have been able to bring her pleasure.
You feel yourself hard against your underwear, and you know that you're ready for your own pleasure. You pull her closer to you and whisper in her ear, letting her know that you're ready. She responds with a mischievous grin, her hand moving to pleasure you.
You moan as her hand slides up and down, the pleasure building inside you. She moves her lips to yours, her tongue exploring your mouth as her hand continues to work its magic.
You can feel yourself getting closer to the edge, and you grab her hand to slow her down. She smiles in understanding and pulls away, the pleasure ebbing away. You look into each other's eyes, and you both know that this is only the beginning. "I'm gonna grab a condom." You mumble, rushing off the bed and into your drawer.
She nods in agreement, and you can sense the anticipation in the air. You come back to the bed, and she eagerly takes the condom from you. Opening the gold wrapper, you take out the condom and unroll it onto yourself, before moving to lie on top of her.
She wraps her arms around you as you take a deep breath as you slowly slide inside her, and you both gasp in pleasure.
You both moan in pleasure as you start to move, and she wraps her legs around you. You start to build up momentum, faster and faster, as you move together. The friction of the condom creates a warm, smooth sensation that sends pleasure through both of you with each thrust.
With each movement, you feel your connection with her deepen and you can feel the sensations in both your bodies become more intense.
"Vada," you sigh out, resting your head in the nape of her shoulder. She looks up at you and smiles, her eyes twinkling in the dim light. You kiss her softly and she wraps her arms around you tightly.
You can feel the warmth radiating from her body and you feel the love you have for her in that moment. You want to stay like this forever and the thought of having to part from her is too much to bear. You tightly embrace her and whisper that you love her. You feel her body trembling as she returns the embrace.
"I'm about to cum." She moans into your ear as she cums. You feel her body quivering and it sends waves of pleasure throughout your body. You hold her tight as you release as well. You collapse onto the bed, panting heavily. You lay there in each other's arms for a few moments, basking in the afterglow of your lovemaking. You kiss each other tenderly and drift off to sleep.
"Was I your first time?" She replies with a soft whisper, "No, Mia was." Your head snaps to her and she laughs, sighing out shortly after.
You take a moment to process what she said. "Really?" She nods, "It happened... multiple times... the fifth week of school." You take a deep breath and look away for a moment, trying to contain your confusion.
"Was I yours?" You shake your head smiling, "No, Ethan was." She lets out a loud laugh at your joke, laying her head on your chest. You take a deep breath and hold her close.
You feel a wave of emotions wash over you, grateful for the moment of comfort. You are filled with a sense of peace, knowing that you have someone to talk to and share your feelings with.
"I need to shower." You say. Vada nods rolling over. "You can join me, but you gotta be quiet." You smile, "Oh, you're telling me to be quiet now?"
You chuckle and lead her into the bathroom. You both take your time showering, enjoying the warmth of the water and each other's company. After, you dry off and return to your bedroom, both content and peaceful.
You wake up to a shout of your name. Looking to your left you notice Vada is still sound asleep. "Fuck," you rush up out of bed putting on your clothes before nearly darting downstairs to the kitchen, following the smell of breakfast.
Your mother is standing over the stove. Three plates of eggs and bacon already waiting for you on the table. She gives you a stern look before turning back to the stove. "There are three..." You mutter to her confused.
She points to the plates. "One for you, one for your girlfriend, and one for me. Now wake her up and come and eat."
You sheepishly smile turning on your heels to go wake up Vada.

What Now? | Eddie Munson
pairing: Eddie Munson X Fem Reader
summary: PART 5- You finally tell Eddie about your past. And it's not pretty, cause it never is.
warnings: talk of cheating, mentions SA
word count: 1.2k
a/n: tears for Y/N!
*******NOT MY GIF, CREDIT TO OWNERS*******
I sniffle a bit more before I pull away and look at my friend. His face is soft with a hint of fear behind his eyes and I honestly can’t blame him, I probably sounded like I was getting murdered just now.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t you dare apologize. You can’t control that, it’s not your fault,” He reaches his hand up towards my face but I flinch backwards. His eyes go wide for a second before slowly trying again, this time I don’t pull back and allow him to wipe away the tears from my face.
“I’m guessing these happen often?” His voice is quiet, as if speaking over a certain octave will trigger me again. I only nod. “Is it the same every time?”
“Not always. But a lot of the time.”
“You want to talk about it? I know it’s easier to talk about dreams and nightmares to allow your brain to discern reality from dream.”
I just look at him as he lets his hands fall from my face into his lap. I want to know why he knows this but I don’t want to pry or overstep at all, so I don’t ask. I scoot back on the couch and pull my knees to my chest, building a wall around me.
“They started about a year and a half ago,” Eddie shifts his position and listens intently to my words, “My ex had broken up with me a few months earlier and I got depressed one night and looked him up on Facebook, just to see if he updated it at all. It was a stupid thing to do.”
As I say this he places his hand on my ankle, just to let me know that it’s okay and he’s there for me. “As I searched his page I saw that he was in a relationship, I was a little hurt at how fast he had moved on but my curiosity was piqued now so I went to her page, but there wasn’t much there. She had a unique name so I went to Instagram to try and see if I could find anything else about her and subsequently, him.”
I pause for a second to assess Eddie’s expression although it’s neutral, with no sign of emotion. I gulp a few times and he seems to notice this and grabs my tea from the table, handing it to me.
“Thanks,” I take a sip before continuing, “So I found her account and it’s private so I can’t get any more info from it and was about to just give up and go to sleep when I noticed that in her bio it says she’s married and she tagged a profile. Same name as my ex and the date of the wedding, October 3rd.”
“So he got married to this other girl while in, where?”
“Indiana.”
“Right, but broke up with you two days later? So were you the person he was cheating with or the one he was cheating on?”
“That’s the question I’ve been trying to figure out since I found out about him being married.” I finish off my tea and reach to set it back down but Eddie takes it from me and heads to the kitchen.
“Okay. So these nightmares are about him cheating on you?”
I raise my eyebrows at his question, surprised that they aren’t, “Actually no. They’re about the moment I fell in love with him.”
“What about the other name you kept saying, uh Sarah?”
“Right, her. Well she was the first person I ‘got with’ after Quinton and she was in college I was still in high school, she was so cool and experienced and I just wanted to get it over with.”
“Get what over with?” I cringe at the fact that he’s going to make me say it so I instead just look at him like, come on you know. He finally gets it, “Oh.”
He sits there for a minute thinking before he face shows confusion, “But wait, didn’t you say you were virgin, like you’ve never even made out with anyone?”
“Yeah I did. Because I didn’t want to do those things with her. I mean past me thought they did but afterwards I felt, violated in a way. I don’t know, I just don’t think that I was really ready I just wanted to be like everyone else. I wanted to feel normal for once.” I don’t say anything else after that, the memories being too much to handle especially after reliving them in the worst way ever.
“I get that, is there anything I can do to help? I mean like do you want more tea or some water?”
“I honestly don’t know. I don’t normally get them around others, at least not that they notice.” My roommates all wear headphones to sleep and I never stay with Jamie for more than a few days and even then I haven’t had one this bad in a while. Honestly since December.
“What does- or shit did Jamie do to help you through them?” He has two water bottles in his hand as he sits back down in front of me, opening one and handing it to me. As I accept and take a sip he opens his and downs about ⅓ of it in one go.
“Well to be honest, I never really had nightmares around them. We’d sleep in a small bed and so we were forced to cuddle and I guess just knowing that they were there and they weren’t him I wasn’t susceptible to the nightmares.”
“What about your friends and roommates?”
I shake my head, “Even with them if I did have one it wasn’t like this, I would just wake up maybe in paralysis but it’d stop in a minute or two, I haven’t woken another person with it before. Sorry”
“Shut-” He takes a deep breath before continuing, “You don’t have to aplogize, you don’t do it on purpose, plus I shouldn’t sleep on the couch anymore than I already do,” He rubs the back of his neck.
“Thanks for being concerned about me but you should sleep, I’ll be fine out here.”
“Or you could,” He averts his gaze, looking out onto the water, “You could sleep in my bed. With me.”
My eyes go wide. Is Eddie seriously offering for me to sleep in his bed…with him! Clearly just as friends but still… “I, uh,”
“It just seems like you sleep better knowing someone is there with you. Like the nightmares are nonexistent. I was just offering because I care about you and don’t want you to scream bloody murder again.” He’s rambling and it’s cute.
“Eddie,” I rest my hand on his, the one resting on his thigh, “It’s okay. I’m fine on the couch, plus I’m going home tomorrow so it’s only a few more hours.”
“But what if you have another one? I can’t get to you as quickly.”
“Because it’s not your job to help me through them, I’ve lived with them on my own for this long. One more night won’t kill me.”
“It could,” He mumbles. I pick up a nearby pillow and hit him with it.
I roll my eyes at him, “I’m fine, go to sleep.”
“Not unless you join me,” He defiantly crosses his arms.
“Ugh you are impossible you know that?” I say tossing the blanket I had over my legs off to the side.
“I do, my uncle tells me that every day,” He follows me as we head to his bedroom around the corner.

Drowned in Love
When you were young, you loved the water. Your father said it was the Riverlands in you. Your family home was situated near the Bay of Crabs. There was a river that ran from the Bay near the castle.
Your mother used to chastise you for playing too close to the water in your nice dresses. One of the worst punishments you ever got came after you went into the water without her wishes. At the time, you could not swim. All she saw was hair bobbing in the water, your blue dress floating out around you.
Perhaps it was practice for when you are older, and now you must keep your head above water. Everyday.
You lie in bed, eyes tracing the dark swirls in the on the ceiling. Hair damp, hands shaking, only thing on your mind the sound of waves crashing the shore. A loud, urgent knock on the door makes you jump. There is no panic in the way you slowly up and walk towards the door.
Quinton is standing there, chewing on his lip. He takes in your sedated disposition with furrowed brow.
“Are you ok?”
“I am fine,” you lean, leisurely against doorway.
He winced slightly, before looking down the hallway to see if anyone is around. He takes your hand, and you fight back a flitch. You worry he can sense the difference in them. Or maybe that is in your head. Like a lot of things these days.
“King Viserys… he’s dead.”
You blink once, then twice before a giggle comes out of your mouth. Quinton gives you a slightly mortified look. It only makes you laugh again.
Dead. Viserys dead.
Your stomach churns as the giggles don’t stop. You stop as the bile works it’s way up your throat. It is not long before you are running towards the chamber pot in your room, dry heaving what little is on your stomach into it.
A hand follows on your back.
“It’s ok,” Quinton whispers. “You much be in shock.”
Yeah…. Shock.
By the time you compose yourself and get ready. When you get to the Great Hall. Rhaenyra is sitting in a chair, rubbing a hand on her temples. All her children standing around her.
Daemon is standing near window of the hall, Dark Sister unsheathed.
Rhaenyra looks up through her hands, and when she spots you, she stands Jace tries to follow her, but she reassured him she is fine.
“I need to speak with you.”
She does not wait for you to answer, just continues to walk out of the hall. As you turn to follow her, Daemon turns from the window making eye contact you. You don’t think you have ever seen his eyes that dull. You nod in acknowledgement before leaving.
Rhaenyra’s pacing around the room only makes your anxiety spike more. The wine you poured yourself not helping. You want to go hug your kids. You want to be far away from this place… from these people.
The natural response should be to comfort her; she has just lost her father. You had thought her husband would be the one to do it but the moment letter made it’s way to painted table, Daemon left the room. Rhaenyra reaching out just to be rejected.
“Rhaenyra, you really should not be exhausting yourself in this condition.”
She asked you to come to her study with her, and since then has done nothing but pace and mutter things to herself. Your eyes go her bulging belly. The maester had told her to be careful this time around. This would be her sixth child, the third in the last five years. Stress never bodes well for a woman with child.
“I want you to advise me once I am named Queen,” she finally turns to you suddenly.
You can’t help yourself, you let out a bark of laughter. No matter how much you feel for Rhaenyra at times, she will always prove herself to be a typical Targaryen. Self-serving to a fault. Delirious with her own thoughts.
“You do not even need to have a title,” she replies. “Just an ally to keep an eye on certain things for me.”
Your eyes go to the red liquid in your goblet; it reminds you of the color of fresh blood. A bile finds its way up your throat. Blinking away tears, you look up shaking your head.
“You will be Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. You will have no shortage of political allies. Ones much more capable than me.”
“Who said anything about politicking,” Rhaenyra rebuts. She sighs, putting her hand on her stomach. You see beads of sweat on her forehead.
Otto had told you to stay close to Rhaenyra while at Dragonstone. She may pretend to walk alone in the world, but she will cling to any partnership she can forge. You can’t help but think about what he is doing right now, and what he would tell you to do. Pre Viserys passing, he would probably tell you to oblige her. The closer the better. Now that the throne is in reaching distance for both Rhaenyra and Aegon, you wonder if his answer would be the same.
“You mean keeping an eye on Aegon, on my husband.”
The word husband leaves a wretched taste on your tongue. Rhaenyra gives you a look, panic in her iris eyes. “I am sure they have been waiting for this moment.”
Though you told Otto the best course of action would be to wait it out, the realm shows their disdain for Rhaenyra and vice versa. You know better than to fully trust that will happen. For all you know, he could be crowning Aegon right now. You pray for their sakes nothing of the sort has come to fruition.
“You really think if I knew about some grand plan to usurp you that I would be foolish enough to come here,” you roll your eyes. “Where could you essentially hold my children and I hostage? Aegon has no desire for the crown. Your father’s treatment diminish that want years ago,” Rhaenyra’s eyes darken, and you throw your hand up in defense. “And Aemond… he wants a lot of things; does not mean he will get them.”
“But… if I chose to agree,” Rhaenyra’s resolve perks up. You want to say something about it being a very strong but, though you are sure it would not help in this moment. “There needs to be honestly, about everything, Princess. Me to you and you to me.”
She eyes the cracked door to the study before going over to shut it. Rhaenyra leans against the door.
“I think we have much in common.” Outside of being women and mothers, you can’t seem to find many similarities. “Sometimes you find yourself in positions… in positions with people you thought you could trust. Decisions are made. People get hurt. It all blurs together till you get what you think you wanted.”
“What is your point, Rhaenyra?”
It’s the talking in riddles, the lying, that you are so sick of.
“My point is, you and your children will be safe under my yoke. I can promise you that. The same way my children are a priority for me. I don’t know if anyone else around you can promise you that.”
Your eyes go from her to outside the window in the study. The beach waves crashing in the back.
No one is ever safe in this family.
— — —
“I do not see why the whip in necessary.”
The dragonkeepers exchange a look. You know they probably do not want you here, but someone needs to advocate for Daella.
You watch from the rocks as another dragonkeeper and Daella wait on the flat grassy area near the castle.
“It is only to assert dominance. He has already sees her as his rider. He just needs to understand that he should keep his attention on her,” the male dragonkeeper says in a low voice. “It has been years. Subservience is something that may need to be relearned.”
Dragons and subservience. The thought makes you want to snort with laughter. It makes you feel like the crazy one, thinking that messing with dragons will blow up in everyone’s faces. A long dynasty built off the beasts should be enough proof it can happen. But you have since learned that Targaryens and everyone else live in two different universes.
While everyone else can see the dangers, they welcome them, accept them as the risk because it is in their blood.
Rhaenyra’s return to King’s Landing is as somber as it was expected to be.
But she is not the only one with a solemn disposition. By the time the ship that carried everyone docked, and dragons that followed close him scurry away, you can see the tense looks on the faces of those that greet you to.
Alicent, Daeron, and Helaena are there once the carriages stop, the feelings unintelligible because of the stoic nature of their faces. Daeron and Helaena rush over to you.
“I told you to be discreet,” you say softly but pull Daeron into a hug.
You see out of the corner of your eye, Alicent and Rhaenyra reaching out to each other. Daemon makes no effort to be greeted or greet anyone else. You hear him say something to guard about seeing his brother’s body.
Helaena grabs your hand and gives it a squeeze, and you squeeze hers back. A part of you does not want to face Aemond yet, but he just lost his father. Despite it all, your heart does hurt for him.
Daella insisted on showing people her new dragon. Alicent included, who gave you a sympathetic look while her granddaughter pulled away by her dress. You ask for Quinton to accompany them to the dragon pit.
With Alaric in your arms, you try to maneuver into your apartments. You find Aemond sitting and reading a book. He just stares at you for a second before getting up. His attention focused on Alaric. You watch as he murmurs to him.
“I don’t think he liked Dragonstone very much,” you try to break the silence in the room. “We can cross that off the list of places to take them when they are older.”
Aemond just hums, not paying you any mind.
“Aemond, if you want to talk ab-“
The look he gives you makes you stop in your tracks.
“There is nothing to talk about,” he says coldly.
You swallow thickly. You can’t help but feel pathetic whenever you try with him. Like a puppy that keeps coming back to get kicked. Things have gotten so bad that you can’t even get out that if he wants to mourn his father, you will be a shoulder for him. You know he is hurt, but how he manages to always take that coldness out on you is getting tired. It’s been tired.
“Where’s Daella,” he brushes past the conversation you tried to start.
“With her aunt in the dragon pit.”
He hands Alaric back to you and leaves the room to go to the pit you assume. When the door closes, your bottom lip trembles a bit. Alaric looks up at you with big curious eyes.
You hug him closer to you as you look around the room. A place that was once home feeling more foreign by the day.
The trip to the dragon pit was met with mixed results. Daella seemed excited to tell anyone who would listen about Vermithor. Aemond understood. He was sure he talked his mother’s ear off once he claimed Vhagar.
Things seem to be going well till Daeron stormed in, fire in his eyes.
Gods forbid your wife wants to comfort you. What a poor life you must have. I thought I told you fix it.
A part of Aemond wanted to come clean and say there was no fixing it. He fucked up, you hate him. It is easier to just stay out of each other’s way till one of you can find an out.
What did she do to you to make you act this way. You’re better than that, or so I thought.
Guilt sat deep in his stomach after Daeron said it.
With Daeron’s plea in the back of his head. Aemond finds you in the bath. He can still see the steam coming up from the water; your head leaned back, arms extended and laying on each side. He notices the goblet in your hand. You have been doing that a lot since having Alaric… drinking.
He watches as lean your head up slowly at the sound of him coming in. You roll your eyes at the sight of him. Another thing he notices you doing a lot. Sometimes it’s rolling of the eyes, other times it is loud sigh. As if merely seeing him exhausted you.
It should make him be more conscious around you. Pick his words carefully.
“You shouldn’t drown in your cups,” he knows as soon as the words come out, they were not the right choice.
Your normally bright and clear eyes are blurry and wild. Stray hairs fall from the pile of hair on the top of your head.
“Thank you, father,” you reply sarcastically. He watches you down the rest of your wine, before leaning over to refill it with the large pitcher next to the tub. His eye trails along the birthmark that runs its away across your ribs. It strangely used to be his favorite physical attribute of yours; a part only he has seen.
You would be surprised how well a simple apology works.
His mother’s words play in his head. She used to say it to him and Aegon when they fought Taking a deep breath, he pulls the chair from the corner of the room to near the tub.
“What are you going,” you asked with a frown.
“I think we should talk.”
“I do not want to talk with you,” you groan, closing your eyes again.
“But you sai-“
“I changed my mind,” you sink lower into the tub. “I want to be left alone.”
Aemond doesn’t budge, just stares, mouth twisted into a scowl. He watches you shift uncomfortably until your eyes shoot open.
“Are you just going to sit there and stare?”
“I said I want to talk,” he repeats.
“Fuck you,” you spit out. “I told you to get out.”
“I am trying to apologize.”
You just stare at him for a moment before letting out a bark of laughter.
“Apologize,” you mock. “Whatever for, husband? The cheating, the lying, or just your overall need to be a cunt to me?”
Aemond’s jaw clenches before he tries to reply but you cut him off.
“Now you want to speak on your terms too. After everything you have done to me. You know for someone who resents his father so much that you cannot even come to grips with mentioning his death, you act a lot like him. You watched your mother waste away because of the way he treated her, and you learned nothing. That is not a mistake Aemond, that is a choice. You chose to behave that way, and - and,” your voice breaks. “I have no idea why. I woke up one day alone. Your body was here but everything else was gone. I married you; I gave you children; I bit my tongue like I told to… and it still wasn’t enough for you. The sickest part is that I would have forgiven you if you just showed an ounce of remorse before. So, no Aemond. I don’t want to talk it out with you.”
Your eyes go to water. “I want you out.”
Aemond sits there shocked before getting up and leaving. You sink lower into the tub, till you are submerged. The heat of the water tickles your face. A slight weight lifted on your chest let the calmness of the water take over.
Rhaenyra is crowned in a small ceremony in the throne room. By the time Viserys body was burned and the smoke reached the skies, her coronation was one of planned.
As you look around, you try to find a happy face. Despite the mistakes along the way or the prejudice some may have, Rhaenyra still has supporters in the Realm. Even with this fact, there is not a genuine smile on anyone’s face.
It is all placations to the tense atmosphere that has entered King’s Landing.
Alicent stood on the either side of you. None of the other Hightower children attended the ceremony. Aemond and you have not spoken since the argument the other day. He spends most of his days riding with Daella which you guess is better alternative to what else he could be doing.
“Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, First Of Her Name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm!”
Daemon stands behind his wife, face in deep thought. Rhaenyra’s eyes are red, and distant as her father’s crown is lowered onto her head. Otto is on the other side of her.
You think of the conversation you had with her in the dead of night.
“Why in Seven Hells would I keep Otto Hightower on as hand?”
“Because you and I both know he is good at his job. Despite what you may think of him, he has served each ruler before you well.”
“He married Alicent to my father.”
“Which if recounts are true, you unfairly blamed on her.”
There was silence before Rhaenyra sighed. “I guess having him near is better than far. Corlys is not going to be happy about this.”
As chants for long live with the queen begin, your mind drifts to Aegon. He had been avoiding you since you got back. In fact, he had been tucked away from everyone since.
It could be out a self-survival. There were already whispers about when and how he would take the crown from his sister. Daemon seemed to take it as a personal affront more than Rhaenyra has.
Once the ceremony is over, Otto makes eye contact with you. The meetings had become tedious to hide. With both Rhaenyra and with Otto and rest of the green council.
As people begin to filter out of the hall, Otto walks slowly as you stay behind. He walks you to his study.
“I have to say, I am impressed by how quickly our new Queen has taken a liking to you,” he seems more pleased with himself than you. “And now I have good news for you.”
He pulls out a cloak. The purple shade of it is so deep that it almost looks black. You recognize it well. It’s Aemond’s
“That little problem you had has been taken care of, and I thought you would want this back.”
The familiar flush of heat on the face, and watery mouth you get before you feel like you need to throw up comes over you. You shake your head in confusion.
“This was found… on the body.”
Your breath quickens. “Oh, um well thank you for taking it care of it.”
You know you probably look crazy as you all but run back towards your chambers. The cloak was long forgotten in Otto’s study despite his calls after you. Aemond looks up startled by the desk in the corner when you burst through the door. The two of you haven’t truly spoken since the argument nights ago.
Frantically, you go to the drawer where you unpacked your dresses from the trip. You go to the drawer where you know Aemond keeps his blades.
“What are you doing? What happened?”
When you find the blade you gave him for your anniversary, you drop to your knees. This makes no sense.
Your mind drifts back to pushing her head under the water till she stopped fighting. You tried not to think about it. The nightmares were enough. If that wasn’t her… then who was it? Did that even happen?
You flitch when you feel a hand on your shoulder. Aemond had crouched down to your level with a confused look on his face. He just looks at you before shaking his head.
“Aegon and I have been talking,” your brows furrow skeptically as his voice grows soft. Since when did him and Aegon… talk? His hand goes to brush a hair from your face. “We think it might be best for the children to leave with Daeron when it goes back to Oldtown.”
“What?”
“It is not safe here. Not while Rhaenyra is Queen.”
“Aegon has a reason to send his kids. They could be in line, and in danger, if anything were to happen. We have no reason to.”
“I think we should consider it.”
You scoff. Now suddently he wants to care for his kids. “You can do whatever you want with the children… when I am long dead and buried.”
You swat his hand away, before getting up. You give the blade in the drawer one last look before leaving.
It had been moons since Queen Rhaenyra, First of Her Name had been crowned. After a short period of peace following the death of King Viserys the Peaceful, King’s Landing was alight with gossip and strife.
Some claimed that Prince Aegon, quick to anger, had spent those months plotting his rise power in spite of his sister. Others claimed that it was the Dowager Queen Alicent that had been planning her son to take the throne behind Rhaenyra’s back.
Most of the drivel was salacious and untrue in nature. But all that was trampled and forgotten once news of a prophet spreading the word against Targaryen dynasty reaches the Red Keep.
Slanderous remarks against Queen Rhaenyra gaining traction. It is said that the comments anger the Queen so much that she took it out on one of her ladies in waiting.
It is now said that these sermons were only the beginning of young Queen’s demise.
The sun streaming in through the window is what wakes it up. You sit up slowly, taking in the nice weather outside. But then it hits you. Alaric wakes you up.
At almost the same time every morning, his cries or coos wake you up. You rush over to the crib to find it empty. You notice Aemond is not in the room either, and then with a throat you call out for help.
As ladies scurry out of your room after getting you dressed, you let out flurry of expletives that Quinton wonders if they are just native to where you are from. Some of them sayings he has never heard before.
He tries to keep up with you as you all but run to the kids’ sleeping quarters. When you don’t find Daella in there, you slowly turn around face stoic, and cold.
Quinton watches as you throw your head back and let out a piercing screaming. Almost animalistic. He knows you probably frightened the guard tell who she is with. But he doesn’t understand… most in this castle wouldn’t.
“I’m going to kill him,” you mutter. You give him a crazed look. “I’m going to choke him to death and feed him back to his own dragon.”
Quinton never thought love would be considered an ugly thing, especially not the love between a mother and her child. A man and wife. But it manifests itself in an ugly way as he watching you kneel over, putting your hands on your knees. You let out an ugly sob, a shattering breath raking out of you.
He puts a hand on your shoulder, and as if a trance was broken, you instantly stand up. You straighten your dress out and walk out as if nothing just happened.
It is not until Aemond returns later that evening that something uglier replaces the panic.
———
Aemond was expecting fireworks. Tears for sure, maybe some shouting, but nothing out of the ordinary for what your relationship has become.
What he wasn’t expecting was the way you flew across the room at him by the time the door closes.
“You fucking bastard.”
Aemond recognizes the look, he’s seen it in his dreams. Aemond tends to think people let the pretty face fool them. He often wonders what would happen if he just left you in room with people you didn’t like. Whereas other people hesitate, when brought to the certain point, you would not.
You begin to hurl curses at him. “You have a lot of nerve coming back.”
“They are with their uncle, away from here. Somewhere safe.”
“Nowhere is fucking safe, Aemond. Not in this family. Not with the father they have,” you hiss. “Incompetent, thinks he’s smarter than he actually is, nothing in that head of yours.”
That’s when the first push is landed.
“Otto was right, you’re a rouge.. a liability. Always have been. Aegon always said you’d eventually do something stupid…. again!”
Aemond laughs, teeth blared in a way that makes your shiver. He’s enjoying this.
“Is that what you and my brother talk about behind closed doors? Huh, I would have assumed you two would’ve been doing more… interesting things.”
Aemond watches as something switches in your eyes at the implication. Your eyes go to the blade on his waist. Aemond raises a light brow.
Do it.
“Be careful, Aemond,” you keep your voice low. “I worry you underestimate me, and what I willing to do for them. If something happens to, I will make you sure you end up like -“
Before you can finish, scared and frantic knocks at the door interrupt you. You shoot him one last glare before going to the door. You find a breathless Jace standing there.
“My mother asked for you,” his eyes seem far away. “The - the babe is coming.”
You look at him in shock, before a sinking feeling settles in your stomach.
Her term still has a month left.

shuri.u x black reader
summary: y/n, still being in her tense and dysfunctional relationship, is having problems trying to emotionally reach her boyfriend of 3 years. shuri, who’s always been there for her during the trials and tribulations of the relationship, still can’t deny her feelings for the woman after all this time, but she chose loyalty over her own personal pleasures. what happens when y/n can’t take anymore?
warnings include: cursing, aave, n-word use, weed, fluff, major angst, readers bi, arguing, readers a bit of a crybaby, protective shuri
a/n: lmk if u guys are rlly interested in this!! the more i stare at it the worse it gets to me so i decided to post it😭
prologue.
“i’m not tryna hear this fuck shit right now y/n, i already told you it’s not like that!” you both had decided to go to the club, well not decided, more like your boyfriend, quinton, forced you to go. you really had rather you stayed in your apartment, in your room, where it was quiet. you were normally one known for the party scene, but this time, for some reason. . you weren’t feeling it. you wished you had listened to your gut, but being the pleasing girlfriend you were, you sucked it up. and now here you both were, arguing, again.
“fuck shit?! nigga you were the one who letting her grind all up on you and shit!” you yelled back. were you mad? yes. were you surprised? no. not that you liked it, but it wasn’t an unoriginal sight to see your boyfriend letting someone dance on him. you couldn’t really say much, you would’ve danced on a person or two but you never let it go to the extreme, and most of the time it was your friends. you had just happened to look over at him tonight and see what was going on, what had been going on, and you decided enough was enough.
“we was just dancin’?! i don’t see what the problem is?!” he threw his arms up in confusion and let them plop back to his sides. you chuckled in disbelief, did he think you were stupid?
“dancing? shit from where i was standing y’all might as well have been dry humping each other..”
“whatchu tryna say y/n?”
“what the fuck you think i’m tryna’ say?” you retort. quinton shakes his head and walks into your bedroom, mumbling about ‘not having to deal with this shit’ and shuts the door behind him.
instead.
you laid on your side, your back to quinton as you stared blankly at the wall. quinton was laying on his back, phone in the air, just above his face, making sure to keep his brightness all the way down. every once and a while he would smile and bite his lip, but you wouldn’t see it.
when he finally put his phone down, he looked over at you, your back still facing him. he sighed in a little annoyance and turned over to wrap his arm around your waist. “you still mad?” he asks lowly. you don’t respond.
“c’mon bae.. i didn’t mean anything by it” he tries again. you still didn’t reply, only sinking your face deeper into your pillow. he finally gives up, shifting from underneath you and removing his arm from your side to resume his place on his back. he hears a faint vibrate from his phone and reaches for it.
this time he lets a light chuckle escape his lips.
your mind started to wander, thoughts started to form. if you caught him doing this, could he have been doing more? is he doing more? the more you laid there, the worse they got. you couldn’t take anymore.
you quickly sat up from the bed, startling your boyfriend in the process. “babe?” he called, quickly shutting off his phone. you still didn’t answer to him and just began putting on clothes and packing a night bag. that got his attention even more.
he threw the cover off his torso and hopped off the bed. he went over to you and grabbed your wrists to stop your swift movements. “w-..where are you going?” he stuttered.
“i’m going to a friends house. i’ll be back.” was all you had said after you snatched your arm out of his grip
“back? back when? tomorrow?” he inquired, following you into the bathroom as you began to grab your toiletries.
“whenever i feel like coming back” you replied, a snarky attitude laced in your words.
you stuffed the last bit of belongings into your bag, zipping it up and throwing it over your shoulder. quinton watched in shock as you slid on your crocs and grabbed your car keys off the dresser.
you didn’t say anything before you left, only sound from you was the jingling of your keys and the slam of the door as you walked out, leaving quinton on his own for the night.
instead.
as you drive down the road you could only think, there’s only one person who was able to help you, make you feel better, can comfort you best, who knew you better than anyone did. who was one of the main people to tell you not to get with your boyfriend. and god, you should’ve listened. you searched up her name on your contacts and clicked the call button.
the line rung about 3 times before someone answered, “hello?”
“hey shuri. . . do you think you can leave the door unlocked for me?”

dizzydes I was just trying to clear the air before lawyers got involved, but as you can see the Queen B and her bully wanna be gangsta husband were not trying to listen. I was threatened and feared for my life so I chose to walk away before it escalated further. I’ll see them in court instead.
rubberbandshan Wooow! So what you’re saying is you interrupted their date with foolishness I’m sure. Bailey and Quinton wanted all the smoke. You realized you were about to get dead and ran away. Copy. Next.
kingb This is the visual definition of fucked around and found out 😂. Q should’ve mushed him with one finger to the forehead like Ghost did Tasha. Sir, please don’t try that again.
realisticrachel That’s assault so no. Grown adults can’t be fighting and arguing in public. Sad.
anon I like Dizzy but I still would want to see a fight lol. Also cameraman had one job. We needed video and audio. Who only takes pics in a situation like this?
bflyhive Absolutely NOT!! Please leave BK alone. She has more important things to worry about like her tour outfits. Anyone who stands in the way of me and the Hive pit will catch these hands.
bkstan AND FEET! When do we ride for the Queen? I stay ready.
B&QForever Oh Dizzy. You tried and failed miserably. She don't want you. Get over it. I'm riding in the front seat. Ready!
killabutterflies Just say the word B. We got you!
c.spiracy I've studied these images and I keep coming back to Dizzy and his fists. I don't condone violence but I too would ride for the Queen. Give us a sign BK.

vada cavell x reader
Talk of shooting I slight smut discretion is advised
~~ "Are you fucking kiding me right now?"
"I'm so sorry ..please"
You were furious. Angry didn't even cut it anymore. As you stood in the middle of the room, thankful your parents were gone, Vada sat on your bed looking lost and frightened. But somehow the anger you felt outweighed the need to comfort her. Right now she didn't deserve comfort.
"I get kissing Mia, hell I've kissed Mia," you watch Vada lower her head "But Quinton? you go behind my back and kiss Quinton?!"
"I'm-…. I'm sorry, y/n. didn't mean anything-"
"Then why do it?!" You scream and Vada flinches. Again you were to mad to care. "why would you kiss him? when you know we were dating?"
"I just wanted to feel something!" Vada finally snaped. Then she slapped a hand on her mouth with a gasp.
You felt like the wind had been knocked out of you as you swayed back slightly. brows furrowed as you processed what she had said.
"So….so you dont feel anything with me anymore?"
"No…thats not what i meant!"
You clench your fists. "thats what it sure sounded like to me."
Vada stood up, Now she was angry. Angry that you'd think such a thing about her feelings towards you. She took a step forward and you took one back, trying to keep the distance.
"You kissed another person, Two!, And you want me to believe that you still feel something for me?"
"Baby-"
"No!" you point a shaky finger at her, feeling tears sting the corners of your eyes as a lump forms in your throat. "I have't talked to you in weeks, weeks Vada, because I've been giving you space. But when i finally hear from you it's because you got caught kissing Quinton. How the Fuck do you think that makes me feel?"
Vada held her hands u, a stray piece of hair falling from her messy bun and brushing on her cheek. "It didn't mean anything and he pushed me away before it could get to deep."
"The fact that he had to push you away is what makes my stomach sick. you wanted to kiss him,"
Your voice trails off into a soft whimper at the thought as you take another step back and place a hand over your mouth so a sob couldn't escape. you look away from the girl because at the moment, you couldn't bear to see her face.
"Please just let me explain-"
You snap you're gaze up, a very heated one that causes Vada to swallow hard but didn't say anything.
Your girlfriend took thins as a sign to continue. she opened her mouth to speak but then her phone started to ring. You furrow your brows and watch as Vada pulls out her phone from her short pocket.
"It's Mia."
Your jaw clenched "Answer it.."
Vada's head snaped up and you could see she was fighting a battle. she knew if she left here she'd never see you again, but she also knew that Mia needed her She was in a hard place with only one decision to make, she answers the phone.
"Hey Mia."
Your hard twists in pain at the way her voice switched to a sweeter version of it self. One she's used on you plenty of times. you turn your head away and do your best not to watch her. The start of a panic attack could be felt, you tried to shake it of but it was no use. you deserved better.
"I kinda cant right now Mia, I'm doing damage control."
Oh, so you were damaged and needed to be controlled? thats when the doubt started to settled in. Maybe Vada didn't want you because you were to damaged. Maybe all of the weight of your past was to much for her. Maybe Mia could give her a better life, hell even Quinton he was a good gut, right?
"If it all works out then sure,"
You hear Vada say though it was distorted, Kind of like your head had been submerged under water.
Vada hangs up the phone call only to toss her phone behind her on the floor. That's when she looked up and noticed how you were staring out your window, your hands were trembling.
"Y/n…"
"Do you want to be with Mia?"
Vada stares on in confusion as you slowly turn to face her, tears dripping down your cheeks. Vada knew she fucked up.
"Am I too much for you? Too much that you had to find safety in Mia and Quinton?"
"No! That's not what this is about."
"Then tell me Vada! Because I'm on the verge of a panic attack and if you don't explain to me right the fuck now why you chose to ignore me for weeks while kissing other people behind my back, I will make this decision for you." You suck in a deep shuddery breath, "and I promise, you will not like the outcome."
Vada chewed on her lower lip. You weren't normally an angry person, most of your anger would always be bottled up until it was too late and you'd burst. Well, you've built up enough anger to let that bottle shatter. And Vada knew that. But she also knew you weren't threatening to harm her, you were threatening your relationship with her. Something you've never done before, but something you've talked about. You promised Vada that if she ever cheated on you, you'd break up with her.
"After the shooting, I stopped feeling things. I was numb for a while. And I didn't want to pull you down with my negativity." Vada started, "Mia and Quinton were in the stall with me when it happened so I felt obligated to make sure they were okay. Quinton watched his brother die and it made me feel bad for him because that could have been my sister."
Your eyes soften at the thought of Amelia, the poor girl had called you a few times during Vada's weeks worth of dissociating.
"The things I did weren't me, I wasn't even present for most of it. I had clocked out and was on autopilot or some shit."
Vada was slowly taking steps towards you, and while you wanted to be far away from her, your back pressed against the wall behind you from the amount of steps you took to keep the space between her, which made you trapped. You could have walked around her but she was fast, faster than you, so she'd easily catch you.
"Mia and I kissed. And we almost went further than that but she stopped it. Told me I had a girlfriend and made me realize I wasn't being fair to you."
"Oh my god…." A hand presses over your mouth as you look away from the girl, tears falling again now that more of the truth is coming out.
"Y/n, listen to me." Vada tried again but this time you weren't having it.
"You almost fucked Mia?!"
Vada sighed and nodded her head.
"Get out…" you were seething.
"No, baby please…"
"You don't have the right to call me that! Not after what you did!"
Vada stood her ground, she wasn't about to lose you.
"I'm not leaving."
You could feel annoyance swell up in your chest. You just wanted to be alone, to process the heartache but Vada was inching towards you. The longer you stared at her, the more betrayed you felt. Could you even forgive her? You could barely stand to look at her. She was crying too but it had stopped a bit ago and now she just looked determined. She was absolutely beautiful but at the same time, you couldn't recognize her. Vada had changed and you weren't sure if you liked it or not.
"Vada, if you don't leave then I'll call my brother and have him make you leave…" you threatened.
She says nothing, just keeps stepping closer. You both hold eye contact for a moment, neither of you breathing, before your hand shoots out and grabs the phone off your desk next to you. Vada rushed forward quickly and pinned her entire body against yours, both hands gripping your wrists.
"Let me go!!" You cry out and try to get your hands free but Vada was strong, maybe too strong.
"Not until you calm down!"
"I am calm!"
The struggle lasted for a few minutes as Vada fought you for your phone, trying to take it but you managed to switch it to your other hand. Vada's face being close to yours.
"Let me go ..just let go!" You started to sob as you desperately tried to get your phone, fighting against Vada's hold. But eventually she won and tossed your phone behind her where it lay next to hers on the ground.
She then slipped her thigh up and pressed it between your legs in order to lock you, though it caused different effects as your body tingles from the sudden touch. You gasp and look down at the girl. The girl who had been your first everything. When your eyes connect with hers, you could still see the love she held for you. It made you cry harder but Vada wasn't having it. Vada wanted you. She wanted to prove that to you. So she pushed forward and kissed you.
It was like second nature to you. Vada knew her way around your mouth, knew what to touch with her tongue that would make you buckle at the knees, knew what techniques could make you succumb to her. She remembered it as clearly as you did. So when you try to push her, albeit weakly, Vada pressed her entire body closer until her thigh pressed into your core. You moan into her mouth as the anger slowly dissipates into lust, though it lay dormant at the surface.
Vada parts from your lips in order to pepper kisses along your cheek and jaw, letting you catch your breath as she thrusts up against you. Your body betrays you and you're left grinding down on her thigh.
"….let go .." you beg, and this time she does. So your hands move to grab onto the back of her shirt. The rhythm between you two was matched, you easily became in sync with her movements until you were both one unit, dry humping against your wall. You didn't care, this was the first time Vada paid any attention to you and against your better judgment, you soaked it all up like a dry sponge.
Vada was busy creating a hickey on the side of your neck while both of her hands gripped your hips to keep you from going anywhere. Your hands tugged at her shirt until it was being pulled over her head. Which left behind her sports bra and shorts. You then, with the little self control you did possess, pushed her away. Vada stumbled back with an undignified sound as the both of you stared at the other.
You panted heavily, lips swollen and neck throbbing from the mark that would take pounds of makeup to cover, as you take in Vada's form.
"If you don't fuck me like you mean it, I'll kick you out of here myself and you'll never see me again." You demand, venom lacing your voice that made Vada shiver. She grabs the front of your shirt and pulls you back to your bed. A/n sorry i could not give the full chapter cause tumblr would not let me go through the word limit mark thing but got this on Wattpad and got permission from the author so if you want part 2 with the full fic & the book ( on wattpad ) tell me A/n here the full book

My unedited thoughts while reading the new chapter of IBVS, sorry if it's illegible.
SPOILERS FOR S2 CHAPTER 11
Has he just been summoning these things with out a book? Is he going off memory? It's would be so funny if this moron was a witchcraft prodigy
Who just randomly talks about this in school?
I feel bad for Isaac being worried about Drew telling his secrets but he's honestly being kinda unreasonable with this ignoring Drew.
Bro are they the only two at the table 💀 just move to the opposite side of another outcast table why take up the whole thing.
CHRIS FUVKING WOULD WITH HIS FOLLOWER MENTALITY
But Chris really isn't new? He came there in the fall. Does this school not have freshmen? (Recurring question)
I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING! WHY IS THE ART ROOM STILL SCREWED
It's nice to know Isaac was in a club but I do wish he talked with the other art students. Also, there are other art students!
Poor Isaac with his trauma from Chris ditching him.
God damn it Chris! Ok I need to talk about this.
Very quick summary of an analysis I'm planning on making of this man but he has like, chronic follower mentality. He will just listen to anyone who seems to have power. He joined Ed when asked because he's the king, he drifted towards Nevin because of his confidence, and now he's with Felix who has something to offer him. This stems as far back as Dylan's group, who were the trouble makers, and Freddie who was the popular kid. The only person who he was ever friends with who doesn't fall into one of these categories is Isaac, and we all see how he treats him.
He didn't think twice? Aren't you friends with him?! Didn't you trust him at the start?! HES LITERAL DONE NOTHING TO YOU EVER?! YOUR LIKE THE ONLY ONE HES NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH!
didn't Isaac also tell him Felix almost killed him and the school almost sent him to the hospital after the fear demon fight? Is this Chris, once again ignoring everything Isaac says? This is like the "id rather skip class than believe the king would beat you up" all over again.
Man I can't believe Felix can remember all those food namesvand things.
The demon book is written by the Wolfe family? Volume 1?
Why does Barry just keep randomly appearing like this? And in full camo? Him and Ed really are similar. For whatever reason I get a bad feeling about him.
How does Drew keep turning into everyone's therapist, as much as I like Autumn and Issac I wish we could see them interact with Drew and actually look like they enjoy their time together.
Barry you are so strange
YEAS MY GENETIC THEORY
ROSE RIPPLE THEORY
It kinda bothers me he only ends up with Ed after he has no one else. But isward crumbs all the same
Aw he's so bored
Again?! These woods have seen things.
Aw he actually wants to hang out with him
"Learn to ask" Ok Edward "drags you into a closet" Quinton
YES bringing up the two power thing!
He's other power is definitely part of Sigma
Isaac backstory! Kinda sounds horrific.
YES EVEN THE ADRENALINE PART
it's the tree! :D
And that log would be Chris!
He shut down his huntch 😭
Still Purple huh? Gotta mean something.
FINALLY! CHARACTERS ACTUALLY GETTING ALONG!
he smiles so much in this scene :D
MONIKA AGAIN??
#ibvs#isaac beamer versus the supernatural#IM SO HAPPY MY THEORIES ARE BEING ACKNOWLEDGED :D#also im definitely posting that chris thing soon#love him as a character but i would hate him as a person#echos screaming into the void

The way i fking SCREAMED MY HEAD OFF when we got these reveals, we saw it coming but still, it feels SO GOOD to know how many of our theories were already correct…but i still wonder about so many things like were the twins born already when they were seeing each other??? This means in a way they likely got in bed several times since the twins were already a year old or so when Uehara & Airi died… If so, what did he ever think of his children, shock? sad? betrayed?…Why never meet them? What about the hospital visit?
And Ryosuke?? Surely Hikaru can't just convince a university kid to join him in meeting his idol of dreams…and even if, why bring HIM along? And Yura? Would Ai really have met him when she had the twins? I feel like the latter is unlikely…is it timelines issue again here? But that can't it be if this movie is from Ai's pov…arrghh MY HEAD
One thing feels certain tho, he couldn't have killed Ai out of revenge…or rather, not only revenge at least. It's also good to see the theory Ai coerced Hikaru to get in bed with her is finally wrong. MAN IM SO READY FOR THE DVD REVEAL NEXT CHAPTER AFTER SO FKING LONG. I NEED AI'S POV LIKE OXYGEN P.S. The way she was smiling when saying "let's not see each other anymore" and while BRUSHING HER TEETH OF ALL THINGS…GIRL
so this is easily the stupidest connection my brain could have made but. when i saw that panel of ai with her toothbrush, i immediately thought of that one fucking channel awesome anniversary movie - or rather, the quinton reviews video about it and in it, there's a moment where doug walker (playing himself, in this masturbatory metatextual sense) has this fictionalized version of himself enter the movie by walking into the living room in the middle of the day while brushing his teeth. and for some reason. ai choosing to break up with her boyfriend while brushing hers had the exact same energy to me.
honestly i was barkin like a dog this whole chapter. i have been wildly oscillating between 'it's so over' and 'we're so back' re: OnK since the Movie Arc started in earnest but seeing how consistently I have been able to nail things about Ai and Hikaru just based on what I could glean from the material in the manga does make me a lot more hopeful for what's to come. Deadass this is the most energized and legit excited I've been coming out of a cliffhanger for a good while.
There's definitely still a lot of really wtf stuff floating in the air and a ton of unanswered questions but I'm pretty confident we'll be getting at least a reasonably solid confirmation of the timeline next chapter depending on how their chat about the breakup goes and from there we can start guessing at other parts of the story, if we don't just end up getting the reveals next week.
Honestly at this point I'm most antsy to see someone mention Yura........ is she still on that mountain or what.........

Isaac with please don’t leave me seems fun seeing as he has issues keeping friends
Oooo this will be fun. This one is a lot shorter, and I'm making it Isward, whether that's platonic or romantic is up for interpretation. ^^ //
"Please don't leave me..." he croaked out despite himself, despite knowing how stupid and useless it was to beg. He'd done it again. He'd pushed too far, been too mean, and now he was being left all over again. He'd pushed so far, said something so mean he'd made Edward fucking Quinton of all people cry... and even after he hurt him he was still hurting him. Digging his nails into the taller boys arms as he begged him to not leave. He didn't mean to be like this, to be so full of venom. And yet he could never seem to stop himself from lashing out... from chasing people away.
"Please... please, I..." he choked out and was startled when he found his face being pressed into warmth. Ed's arms were around him, holding him close. So gentle despite how easily they could crush him. So soft despite how hard they could squeeze, so warm... despite the coldness he deserved. "I'm not going anywhere, Nerd." it came out hoarse in a way that only happened when someone held tears in. "As if you could get rid of me that easily." he snorted, his chest rumbling slightly with the noise. "You...are...so dumb.." he found himself wheezing out as his eyes welled up with more tears. "Yeah... I know." The taller hummed, and for once, Isaac didn't end up alone...

ooc compliments hour: Quinton is like a buuuug to me. he just scuttles around my dash and sometimes when you lean in close you just hear this bug screech for help and company but only in the most twisted of ways that the message gets lost along the way. I do love the complexities that u put in him and his story and his background. he's soooo something. Ive never seen a character like him and I dont think I ever will and Im glad he's around on my dash.
have a good day <3
// i did not even reblog that im too reserved for this kind of thing most of the time so this is nice :)
I am not trying to be self aggrandizing but i do think the balance of a character like this is difficult and thats why you dont see it a lot. theres a really really particular mix of traits and expressions of those traits. I also have. Niche interests I don't think many others share to the degree of 'making a character exploring these things'.
like I'm deeply fascinated by social dynamics of the internet and lolcows. The entire concept and the way it cannot be fixed without like. killing all Mean people i guess, or removing all mentally ill off of the internet. is incredible. its such a gordian knot concept. So I love basically Making one and seeing how people react when reminded of genuine hardship he's gone through. It does help that many people are very much against the concept but will indulge immediately when given a faux version
That all is part of why his life Gets worse over and over. Once i'm more interested in writing again he's going to get slowly worse until he admits krissa is dead while hopefully being mocked for a seperate thing. His hope being to use that to make the other person feel bad. Because he is a bad person.
I dont really know why i wrote all of this I guess i assumed if you care enough to write an ask that you would like to read some thoughts about what you wrote. I dont know how to respond to these things. Okay bye.

Break and Future for Isaiah, Octavia and Quinton. Please and thank you.
Oh snap these are delicious!
break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?
Isaiah: No one has ever seen him at his lowest. Not even Octavia, but I don't think he is a person who loses control not after having done so (taking a man's life) and seeing what it cost him.
Octavia: For her to break down would be to lose Isaiah suddenly. I think it would be a slow unraveling. She'd try to be strong initially but I think over time she'd ruminate about all the plans they've made etc. Octavia has had the good fortune of not hitting her lowest thank the watcher. 👀
Quinton: I think we all remember Quinton's breakdown on the floor staring down the bottom of an empty Jack Daniels whiskey bottle. While talking to his dead wife in an urn. Other than us the only person who saw that was Big Daddy.
future for all 3 below
future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?
Isaiah: The return of his supposedly dead evil twin Bishop. How can you avoid a person who is supposed to be dead? They are not aware of the fact that this man is alive and well somewhere not too far from a woman named Mercy. lol
Octavia: Stay tuned...👀👀
Quinton: ((shrugs shoulders)) I guess the worst could be a repeat of the past?? I'm not that cruel though. I haven't thought too far beyond getting him hitched again tbh.

So by now a good chunk of people have watched @quinton-reviews Video series (or as he calls it :'Mini series' lol) discussing Fred, iCarly, Victorious and now Sam and Cat.
One thing that just wouldnt let go of me (and I also made a comment on that) was a moment in iCarly he talked about in which Sam and Freddy as a couple have to deal with Freddies mum trying to seperate them. It all goes so far that Freddie finds out that Sam manipulated his application to a summer camp so he would be rejected.
I wont go into much more detail but lets say that Sams reason is not fully... Understandable here.
Now mind you I have only wwtched quintons review and never seen that particular episode myself, but their "fight" really bothered me because it seemed like a completely botched moment where they could've inserted a real character moment.
So. Here is my 5 minute first draft of "how it couldve gone" in scipt form
DISCLAIMER: I do not have a proper grasp on these characters so its likey that this is very out of character. But then again, the writers didn't do them that well either so-
[Scene: Sam and Freddy are upatairs in the iCarly studio, having an argument after Freddie found out that Sam is responsible for him not being accepted to the summer camp. They are alone in the room]
F: I want to know WHY sam!
S: because-- i was mad at you
F: for what?
S: remember when I asked you for the time and--
F: that can't be the reason.
S: it is!
F: Sam, tell me the truth right now or I am leaving!
S: no wait! Wait, please don't go-
F: ...
[Freddy is taken aback by her sudden display of panick and it knocks him out of his own anger. He becomes soft]
F: Sam. Please tell me why you did that. I want to understand.
S: because--- i don't want you to go.
F: but WHY
S: because I need you.
F: need me how?
S: I dont know! It's... Easier with you. Everything is. Like it is with Carly but different. You make things better.
[She sits down defeated and lets her head hang. Freddy hesitates then sits down next to her]
F: Like Carly?
S: yeah but differently. She makes things less awful and problems less.... Bad. She gives me a place I can call home. And you're giving me something like that.
F: being with me grounds you
S: yeah that.
F: ...
S: Please don't leave me.
[ Sam tears up and her voice breaks. Freddy pulls her close so she can lean onto him]
F: I'm still mad. I get now why you did that, but that doesnt mean that I will just forgive you and forget this. I really wanted to get into that summercamp.
S: I know.
F: It's not just a camp I really want to go to. I'd get some space from my mum.
[Sam sits up and faces Freddy with realisation.]
F: I could've had a summer without her constantly being around me. Not that she wouldn't try to still visit and call all the time. But that's not an option anymore.
S: I--- I didn't know.
F: yeah. why didn't you talk to me?
S: because! ... I didn't want you to see me as clingy. we weren't dating and I didn't want you to know what you mean to me.
F: but if we cant talk to each other then maybe we don't even have a friendship we can rely on!
[It grows quiet and freedy stands up. Sam tries to reach for him to sit back down but he manages to escape her.]
F: I'll go get Carly for you.
S: Freddy.
F: You seem to have no trouble talking to her.
S: Freddy!
[Carly comes in and stops in her tracks looking from freddy to sam and back]
F: I'll be going.
C: Freddy-
F: I'll text you. Take care of Sam.
[Freddy leaves without being stopped and Sam tears up again before anger gets to her and she starts to become violent in frustration.]
C: Sam! stop it!
[Carly manages to wrangle Sam away from her destruction and hugs her while Sam breaks into sobs and clings to Carly.
Black]
----
And then we get a full second episode of sam and freddie being awkward with each other and trying to mend their relationship.
#quinton reviews#sam puckett#freddie benson#saddie#iCarly#i guess?????#lou writes#look it just wouldnt leave me alone so i had to write SOMETHING down!

We've been pointing out for a while that Willow only showed interest in Hunter after he saved her life, and I just came across something else that's exactly like it and that put it very well-
So, I'm watching Quinton Reviews's video on iCarly (never watched the show, just wanted a long video to listen to).
Freddie has had a crush on Carly since the pilot, and in a season 3 episode he saves her from a food truck and they start going out. Sam points out that Carly only started liking Freddie after he saved her life, and compares it to how a boy she hated subscribed her to a bacon of the month program, and she then decided she was in love with him - she didn't actually love him, she just liked the bacon that came with him.
Freddie feels that Carly just loves what he did for her, but isn't *in love* with him. He says they should take a break until he recovers from his injuries (and everyone forgets what he did) and see if they still feel the same way, and if they do, they can start dating again. They never do, even though Freddie has fully recovered by the next episode.
THIS. This is H/L in FtF to a tee. If they were meant to be "romantic", then this is exactly how it reads. Willow thought she was in love with Hunter, but in reality she just loved what he did for her. Though I feel like she'd realize it without needing to date him first.
YES. Yes!! This is EXACTLY how it feels! It's been so long since I watched iCarly, I totally forgot about this lmao. But that is to a T what that entire scene in FtF felt like to me. I hadn't been able to put it into exact words other than saying it gave off the vibes that she "loved" him for saving her, but didn't actually like him romantically, and that episode is definitely what my brain was trying to pull from, but couldn't remember completely. It's just literally the same situation. The fact that she showed no interest in him at all other than sort of friends until he saved her life. That's... not romantic. That's feeling admiration that the person saved your life, not actual, genuine love of the person that did it. And knowing Willow, she'd definitely recognize that before getting into an actual relationship with Hunter.

How does being a driver work. Are you on call or something? Mr. PB probably wakes up at 6 to bark and then maybe wants to take a walk? So you would drive him to a park. I don't remember what it's like to have a dog that can go outside sorry. Is THAT the joke? No because it was easier to socialize dogs before 2020, which is when Bojack Horseman.
What I was getting at is if you drive him to the park to take his morning business, and then he wants lunch, then he has an appointment at 2, that's 6 hours. But then you wouldn't have a dinner date until 8 but you'd be out until 2 AM that THAT is when you would ACTUALLY want a driver. And then do it all again in the morning.
And you need a driver on Saturday as well.
A normal person with a driver should be respectful of the driver and just have them work morning to late afternoon and cook dinner at home, but I'm more imagining an old lady. Mr. PB is like a rock star, so he doesn't cook dinner at home, I mean I'm not saying he takes Diane out every night but.
Yeah, maybe Todd could get used to working 6 hours in the morning, having 4 hours of freetime, and then working until 2, but he wouldn't like it. And I know he's not driving for a solid 6 hours but it's not like he can drop Mr. PB off to get lunch with a producer, and then drive back to Bojack's place. Because it's LA and lunch only lasts 2 hours.
BUT, Todd could sit in the car and play Pokemon, or watch movies on his phone, or of course, write a Rock Opera on a legal pad. Or, get lunch across the street with a friend? He rarely drives Bojack around but they live together. Mr. PB wasn't his friend until they became friends from Todd working.
Todd is also getting coffee for him, and I also don't know how assistants work. An assistant, I could see working from 8 to 2, or more like 8-8. And it's not like Todd doesn't want to get a big break... As a writer. But he does, he gets to work with Quinton Tarantulino, and, of course, after he and Mr. PB become friends, he works with him PB Livin'.
The driver thing might have been a device to make Todd and PB become friends without Bojack there, that you're not supposed to think about it. And I'm not saying Mr. PB would be stiffing Todd, I'm saying what is the right price for driving a crazy maniac around?
I know Mr. PB doesn't always stay out all night, and when he did Diane was unhappy and they stole the D. And it's not like he couldn't call an Uber Black or something. Why didn't he do that to begin with? Probably he likes his car, or was trying to meet someone, or maybe it was a "device" that Princess Caroline set up or something.

Teachers Chapter 56
AO3
Their family is just as excited. Maggie requests a lass, Lamb suggests ‘ that the baby be named after me’, Jenny offers to babysit ‘ anytime ‘, Ian pats Jamie’s back ‘ your life will never be the same but it will be glorious, his da simply hugs him, while Wee Ian grins, ‘poor James.’
Four months later and they are going for a sonogram to try to see the sex.
James, eight months old, has no idea what is going on. He just knows his mama’s lap is shrinking and his family is happy. He rests against his daddy’s chest as his parents look at the strange screen.
“There is the baby’s head,” The doctor says, “little hand. Let’s see, oh there,” She turns to the family, “Can you tell?”
“Is that his…”
A smile. “Aye. A lad. Measuring where he should be, actually a bit over. He is big “
Claire is laughing and crying. “Takes after his daddy.”
“James look. That is your brother!”
The little boy claps, reacting to their excitement.
Everyone looks at them when they return home. Jamie grinning tells them, “Quinton Brian Henry. He is a chunk.”
A cheer rises. Maggie is the only one frowning.
“Don’t fret, lass. We will try again.” Claire gives him a look, “Ah maybe.”
