Vee and King Sibling Dynamic in my AU is so fascinating to think about.

Thoughts Below

[For context, Vee ended up in the human realm very early and is adopted as an only child by the Nocedas (I'm not giving away what happened to Luz, cuz I actually want some stuff to write about when I finally do decide to ya know... Write it).]

Cause like, they're both Orphans of seemingly exctict species, they then get adopted by parents who have no idea wth they even are. Then they find out that the other members of their kind were killed/tortured.

I feel like Vee would be super supportive of King's hurt feelings about his dad. She would comfort him since she knows what it's like not knowing your birth family.

King would also share all of his demon knowledge with her, and she'd use shapeshifting to engage with the lessons and mimic the creatures shown.

General info: They were all Human at some point and bonded over the fact they became this way by Norman's hand. Every inhuman feature about them is purely genetic now (Excluding Myst+Tink+Sandman). The whole group bonded over their shared hatred for Osborn in general though.

Adrian: He's an Egyptian Vulture. Tall as HELL, he's the second tallest. He's technically the leader and carries the burden of having a team made up of traumatized mutants while also being a traumatized mutant-

Lizard: Trans woman, Her name is Camila :] She has exactly 5 different lizard species in her DNA (5 points for anyone who can guess them all just from her design)

Rhino: It no longer identifies with anything from its life before getting mutated in an attempt to have some control over its life. Rhino strictly uses It/Its. Aside from Rhino DNA, It also has wooly mammoth DNA.

Lizard and Rhino fuckin HATE eachother. It stepped on her tail ONCE and she never forgave it. Mysterio often has to split the two up with his Alien form.

Electro: Graffiti artist. Has somewhat control over his bio electricity, Gloves and chestplate (which is what that tube attached to the back of his head is connected to.) help maintain that control.

Tinkerer (bc he's there): (My silly, my skrungly, my funny lil old man blorbo hehheghem-) Trans man :] Has a cat he rescued off the streets (bc i kept seeing people give him a cat and its like. Its a good headcanon) He and Beck met during his stuntman days (He was technical support on a movie Beck worked on), He isn't very fond of alot of the sinister six (Him and sandman are chill tho) but he tolerates them for Beck.

Trying to articulate how much I respect Camila Noceda

Picture this. You've been a widow for a few years now. You and your daughter have been moving on as best you can, but you're worried she's retreating too much from reality to healthfully cope with it. So, despite how it makes you feel like a villain, Reality Check Summer Camp, it is. And things turn out fine... but then they actually don't. They are, in fact, much, much worse than you could have ever imagined.

But you deal with it. You absorb the confusion and outright, helpless terror you feel. You have a proper introduction with the magical creature (who is also a scared child) who has been impersonating your daughter for months. You keep the house clean. You go to work like normal, like your perception of the universe has not just been flipped like a car over the guardrails.

Then your daughter comes home. Your baby comes back to you alive, scraped-up, but safe...and not alone.

The world nextdoor apparently almost ended. Now you have four more refugees to host. And you deal with it--these are kids, and you're a mom. You learn what kind of foods they like. You relearn how to cut coupons. You pay attention when they work up the courage to tell you things (and even closer attention to everything they don't). You see that their days have structure. You make sure they feel safe.

When the time comes to see them home, you pocket the trauma of what you have just witnessed, and you step into the unknown. You try to keep up with the new faces, the rules of this world as you encounter them (giant skulls are normal, pastel space cherubs are not, got it). You get to see firsthand what your baby girl is capable of. You tell her the truth about your fears for her. You apologize. You do better.

“you like the rain, bébé?” camila smiles, watching you look out the window at the rain. “mm hmm, pretty.” you smiled, hearing your mama’s laugh and feeling her hand pet your head.

“c’mere, my love, you’re freezing.” she picked you up and took you to her bedroom, where she had looney tunes playing on the tv. “shh, settle down, baby.” camila held you on her hip, trying you keep you from wiggling out her her arms. she got the two of you wrapped up in a blanket, laying back in bed while watching cartoons.

everything was perfect… until you hear a loud boom!!

camila felt you flinch in her hold, immediately reassuring you. “oh- that was a loud one, huh?” she rubbed your back, feeling your stress. “that’s just the thunder, little one.”

you got a little blurry eyed from the unexpected noise, but calmed down when you saw bugs bunny back on your screen.

but, unfortunately, the next boom of thunder was worst than the last, making you jump and burst into tears. “uh ohhh, it’s okay, bébé..” camila sat up with you in her lap, patting your bottom. you cried, covering your ears. “m-make stop, mama.”

“oh, sweetie… mama can’t make the thunder stop, i’m sorry. but how about this?” camila paused, thinking of something.

“you want a baba? mama knows some warm milk can calm you down.” she picked you up, taking your paci with her. “shh… i know.” camila bounced you on her hip, walking to the kitchen. she pulled out one of your bottles from the dishwasher.

she warmed up some milk on the stove, shushing your cries whenever you heard thunder. eventually, she had your bottle ready and went back to the bedroom. camila cradled you, your neck in the crook of her arm.

you spat out your paci, grabbing onto the bottle and your mama’s hand, bringing the nipple to your mouth. “hey, hey, hey, little one.” camila said sternly, but softly. she couldn’t help but laugh at how eager you were for your bottle.

“you like your milk, sweetie? yea?” camila babied, stroking your cheeks. your eyes smiled for you, your hand going up to play with camila’s hair.

when the next boom of thunder shook the house, you didn’t even flinch, looking up at your mama. one of your hands was still holding onto hers, making her kiss it. “good baby!!! you’re so brave, aren’t you?”

you finished your bottle soon after, and you were drifting off in your mama’s arms. the wacky sound effects of looney tunes didn’t even bother you. camila put your blankie over you and put your paci in. “sleepy baby… go nini.” her voice was soft, that being the last thing you heard before falling asleep.
