Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
cw: mentions of smoking, past child neglect
this got a lot longer than i intended, but i’ve been thinking about them so much lately <3 thank u @emdure for helping me brainstorm about my fav pair
⭐️. . . Camila finds out about Daisy’s regression one night after a party. She doesn’t ever intend to tell Camila about it (she doesn’t necessarily understand it herself) but she’s overwhelmed and Camila always has a way of seeing right through her. When the party winds down and Daisy is the last guest standing, she ends up spilling the truth about her childhood and how sometimes she feels like a scared child rather than the adult she’s meant to be. The night ends with Daisy crying into Camila’s arms, Camila lovingly comforting her through it all, tucking her in when she passes out on her sofa.
🐞. . . (Daisy does not open up about her childhood, to anyone ever. But Camila is so comforting that she tells her more than she intends to. She should feel uneasy about it, but she realises Camila might be one of the only people she trusts with it)
🌙. . . Camila keeps stock of the fancy tea from Thailand that Daisy likes. Whenever Daisy has a hard night, she calls Camila and she’s always ready with a cup of tea. She burns Daisy’s favourite incense, plays her favourite records, and holds her until she settles down. They call it their ‘’quiet time.’’ The way Camila prepares her tea becomes her favourite.
💤. . . As much as Daisy loves her newfound relationship with Camila, she starts worrying that this isn’t how it’s meant to be. That she’s an adult and she shouldn’t want this, let alone enjoy it so much. She starts avoiding Camila and becoming distant – but Camila understands her and reels her back in everytime.
⭐️. . . Camila starts to notice that Daisy smokes more often when she’s overworked and stressed. She questions her about it one night, and Daisy admits that she needs to keep her mouth busy when she’s overwhelmed. Camila buys her teething jewellery to replace the cigarettes, and Daisy is shy to admit that it helps.
🐞. . .They ease into it all slowly, trying to figure it out together. Starting off with soft plushies and lullabies, and introducing more baby things as Camila starts to get a hold of the whole thing.
🌙. . . One night during their ‘’quiet time’’, Camila introduces Daisy to her first pacifier. Daisy is obviously embarrassed and wants to run away, but Camila is there to comfort her and tell her it’s okay if that’s what she wants. Camila starts preparing her tea for a sippy cup.
💤. . . Daisy tells Camila one night that she misses a toy from her childhood – a little redhead doll with freckles that matched Daisy’s and a little pink dress. Camila spends weeks searching for it, and finally tracks it down in a toy store. She surprises Daisy with it on their next quiet night.
⭐️. . . Camila learns how to knit to make clothes for Daisy’s new doll
🐞. . . Daisy being a bookworm as a kid definitely followed her into her adult life, but also shows when she’s regressed. She babbles happily to Camila about the latest book she’s read, and Camila buys her kiddie books for when she’s feeling smaller.
🌙. . . Daisy struggles with letting people touch her hair. Her mother was never careful when she brushed and styled it – Camila shows her how loving it can be. She brushes through the knots gently, braiding it back to keep it out of her face, and kisses Daisy's face when she starts to cry from the tenderness.
💤. . . Camila starts to call Daisy her little sun — in turn Daisy starts seeing Camila as her moon.
⭐️. . . When Daisy seems down or quieter than usual, Camila implements ‘’tickle time’’. Tickling and stroking Daisy’s skin until she’s a giggling mess and begging Camila to stop.
🐞. . . Daisy slips up one night when she’s feeling really little and calls Camila ‘’mama’’. She’s instantly embarrassed, immediately feeling big and trying to leave. Of course, in true Camila fashion, she reassures her that it’s okay. If Daisy sees her like that, then it’s okay.
🌙. . . When Camila isn’t around, she asks the band to keep an eye on Daisy for her. She doesn’t tell the band the real reason, never wanting to embarrass Daisy or wreck the relationship she carefully crafted. (But she does suggest to Daisy that maybe she should let Billy and Karen know – they are the two people in the world who would understand the most)
💤. . . Daisy ends up needing lots of reassurance, especially in the beginning. She can’t get out of her mind that she isn’t supposed to be like this, that the lead singer of the world’s biggest band shouldn’t be like this. The more they ease into it, the more Daisy accepts that part of herself.
⭐️. . . Daisy starts off being incredibly shy and quiet, becoming more and more energetic as she comes out of her shell. The first time she gets fussy and throws a tantrum, Camila pulls her into a hug and cries, because Daisy is finally letting herself be the little girl she never got to be.
🐞. . . Camila seems to understand what Daisy might need before Daisy even realises. A pacifier when she starts feeling fussy, a sippy cup full of tea when she cries so hard she can’t catch her breath, her doll tucked in her arms when she’s afraid to be let alone
🌙. . . Because Daisy is so shy to let Camila know she's feeling small, Camila helps her make a bracelet -- ladybugs and leaf beads with ''Daisy'' written in gold letters that she wears whenever she's little but struggles to tell Camila.
💤. . .Buying her little gerber puffs and yogurt dots as snacks :') keeping some in little baggies in her purse in case Daisy starts feeling snacky.

Karen went for a nap when you hit the road, so you and Daisy have been keeping yourselves busy with an array of sticker books on the recliner sofas.
You find it easy to be small around Daisy. Maybe ‘cause you’ve had a long week or maybe because its just easy to be small around Daisy, because she is small, too. Neither of you are holding the other to impossibly high standards to act like adults. Instead, you let yourselves act however you see fit, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
You find that Daisy’s a bit bossy, but you’re not really complaining. She’s not mean, just assertive, anyway, so you don’t have a problem with that.
“No, this one goes here, silly,” Daisy instructs, guiding your hand to put a sticker of a horse on the page. “On the grass, not the sky.”
Karen materializes in the doorway separating the main area of the tour bus to one of the ‘bedrooms.’ She cocks a hip and tilts her head to one side as she watches Daisy and you play with the stickers. A tiny smile plays on her lips as she adds two and two together. Its not hard to see; you’re not as good at hiding it as you think you are. She tip-toes across the room before crouching down in front of the recliners you and Daisy are sitting in.
Daisy’s face lights up as she sees Karen but she stays put and giggles as you press a sticker onto her cheek. You’re too engrossed in the sticker book to even notice Karen is there until Daisy pipes up. “Hi, ‘Ren,” She giggles.
You rear back as if you’ve been slapped and clear your throat, trying to make yourself big again. You mindlessly play with Bambis ears— Daisy was true to her word and surrendered her favourite teddy over to you to play with, and even sleep with, too.
Karen laughs and reaches out to ruffle Daisy’s mane of red curls. “Hey, baby.” Shes kind enough to act as if she hasn’t noticed you playing with Bambi. “What you guys up to, hm?”
You clear your throat again in the hopes that your voice won’t sound as childish when you answer her. “We were playing with stickers.” You mentally slap yourself when you fail miserably and sound even smaller than you feel.
Karen doesn’t say anything about it. She simply nods her head, listening intently, and continues carding her fingers through Daisys hair. “That sounds fun. I reckon you girls must be hungry, huh? Do you want me to make you both a snack? What do you fancy?”
Daisy perks up at the idea, eyes shining wide with a mix of excitement and hunger. “Sandwiches?”
Karen grins. “I think I can rustle something to that effect up, yeah.” She turns to you. “Sandwiches sound good to you, honey?”
Your heart melts at the nickname and it makes you want to sob. No one’s ever been this nice to you before and it feels strange. Not in a bad way, though. You don’t want Karen to know. Not yet, at least. “I’ll make something later. Don’t worry.”
Karen raises an eyebrow. “Neither one of you have eaten since we left Cali. That was hours ago. Honey, you must be starving.” You shake your head, but she’s never been one to give up easily, so she takes an angle that she hasnt had to use in a while; bargaining. “How about I make ya a sandwich, anyway, but you don’t have to eat it, m’kay? It can just be there if you get hungry. How does that sound?”
Youve always been stubborn but even more so when you are small. You psych yourself up to protest again but she fixes you with a firm but kind look that has you sighing and relenting. “Okay.”
Karen smiles softly and reaches out to give your knee a reassuring squeeze, testing the waters to see how you’ll react. She knows some littles don’t like physical touch, while others crave it, so she just wants to see what will work for you and what doesn’t. When you don’t shrink under her touch or pull away, she makes a mental note of it, tucking the information away into her mind. “What would you like on it?”
“Peanut butter and bananas,” Daisy cuts in, peeling a sticker off the page and pressing it onto Karen’s cheek before reaching for her hand.
Karen laughs and lets Daisy hold her hand. “I know what you want, baby. You’re a creature of habit.”
“What kind of creature?” Daisy wonders aloud. “Oo, can I be the Loch Ness Monster?”
Karen ducks her head to hide her smile. “Sure, baby. You can be whatever you wanna be.”
“Do we have jelly?” You pipe up, hiding Bambi behind your back so Karen won’t see it (which, in all reality, is a futile attempt, because she’s been watching you with the stuffed animal for the last ten minutes). “Strawberry?”
Karen can’t help but smile as she nods her head. “Yeah. We have strawberry jelly. Is that what you want?”
You shrug. “I’ll make one later. Was just wondering is all.”
Karen hums non-committedly. It’s clear that she doesn’t believe you, but she’s not going to call you out on it like she would Daisy. Although she has her guesses, she doesnt know just how little you are or how you will react if she says the wrong thing. She has to wait it out until she knows you a bit better.
Without saying another word, she stands up and moves to the little kitchenette off to the side, where she pulls a loaf of bread and the condiments out of a cupboard.
You and Daisy go back to playing with the sticker books. Deep down, you know you’ve been caught out— it does not take a genius to figure that one out— but ignoring it and denying it if confronted seems like the best option for the time being.
Karen soon comes back to the recliners with two plates. You try to ignore the sandwich and the expectations that come with it as she sets the plate on the wooden table in front of you.
Daisy practically inhales her sandwich before it has even touched the table. The crusts are cut off and it’s cut into star-shapes.
“Little bites,” Karen chastises gently. Daisy slows down and Karen smooths her hand down the length of her back soothingly. “Like that, good job.”
Daisy seems to get bored of the sticker books and pulls out a tangle toy to keep her hands busy as she eats.
You don’t want Karen to get suspicious, so you inch the sticker book away from you to make it look like all this time you were just helping Daisy. You lean back in the recliner, feeling the smooth leather under your skin. You can feel Karen watching you out of the corner of her eye as you curl your hands under your head and drift off to pass the time.
You must be out for a few hours at the very least because the next thing you know, Karen is hovering over you and shaking you awake. Her expression is soft as you stir and rub the sleep out of your eyes. “Hey, sleepyhead,” Karen murmurs, voice gentle as she props herself on the end of the sofa. “We’re at the store. Daisy said something about wanting to show you something inside? I said I’d try and wake you up first, because she would’ve body-slammed herself onto you given the chance.”
You laugh softly as you sit up, trying to get a solid grip on your surroundings. “Mhm. Sounds like Daisy.” You mutter fondly.
Karen chuckles under her breath. “Yeah.”
As if summoned by her name, Daisy exits the bathroom, wiping her damp hands down the front of her blue denim dungarees. Her face brightens when she sees that you’re awake. “Ready to go?” She flops down beside you.
You nod and blink the remaining sleep out of your eyes again as you run a hand through your hair in an attempt to flatten it out.
“C’mon then,” Daisy takes you by the hand and pulls you to your feet carefully. Karen blocks her path before she can get far and she huffs. “What, ‘Ren?”
Karen arches her brow. “That’s a lot of attitude, don’t you think?” Daisy shuffles on her feet and Karen drops it. “I’m giving you twenty minutes on your own, okay? I’ll wait outside of the store for you, and if you’re not there in twenty minutes, I’m coming in and finding you. Got it?”
Daisy resists the urge to roll her eyes. “Okay, ‘Ren, I get it.”
Karen’s lips twitch as she presses a chase kiss to Daisy’s forehead. “Alright. You head off then, sugar. But the two of you are to stay together, alright?”
“We’re big girls, ‘Ren!” Daisy insists. She huffs and puffs but takes your hand anyway, leading you inside the store.
Karen lights up a cigarette and shouts after the two of you. “Twenty minutes!”
“Twenty minutes!” Daisy echoes back, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she tugs you through the aisles.
“What’re we doing here, Daisy?” You ask, eyeing up the rucksacks that she’s stopped in front of.
Daisy does roll her eyes this time. “We’re making you a go-bag, silly.” She says, practically bursting at the seams with excitement at the idea. “Now, pick a rucksack.” She nudges you forward with her hip.
You tentatively pick up a black rucksack and peer inside. It’s big enough to hold all the things you’ll need, so you hold it close to your chest. “This one.”
Daisy doesn’t berate you for how simple it is. Instead, she takes your hand and wanders around the store until you stop in another aisle. “Do you use pacifiers?” She asks quietly. You shrug, heat rushing to your cheeks, and she takes that as a yes. She snatches up a purple one and moves onto the next aisle.
By the time you both make it to the register, your go-bag is well and truly prepared, with things from coloring and sticker books to fidget toys, to crayons and a few stuffed animals of your own. The cashier packs all your items in to your rucksack and, with one minute to spare, you and Daisy leave.
Karen’s waiting outside of the store, golden hair shining as the sun-light catches it. Her eyes land on the rucksack clutched in your hand, and although she has an idea what is inside, she doesn’t comment on it. “Did you girls have fun?”
“So much fun, Ren!” Daisy rambles about the upcoming tour as she takes Karen by the hand and the three of you make your way back to the tour bus.

“you like the rain, bébé?” camila smiles, watching you look out the window at the rain. “mm hmm, pretty.” you smiled, hearing your mama’s laugh and feeling her hand pet your head.
“c’mere, my love, you’re freezing.” she picked you up and took you to her bedroom, where she had looney tunes playing on the tv. “shh, settle down, baby.” camila held you on her hip, trying you keep you from wiggling out her her arms. she got the two of you wrapped up in a blanket, laying back in bed while watching cartoons.
everything was perfect… until you hear a loud boom!!
camila felt you flinch in her hold, immediately reassuring you. “oh- that was a loud one, huh?” she rubbed your back, feeling your stress. “that’s just the thunder, little one.”
you got a little blurry eyed from the unexpected noise, but calmed down when you saw bugs bunny back on your screen.
but, unfortunately, the next boom of thunder was worst than the last, making you jump and burst into tears. “uh ohhh, it’s okay, bébé..” camila sat up with you in her lap, patting your bottom. you cried, covering your ears. “m-make stop, mama.”
“oh, sweetie… mama can’t make the thunder stop, i’m sorry. but how about this?” camila paused, thinking of something.
“you want a baba? mama knows some warm milk can calm you down.” she picked you up, taking your paci with her. “shh… i know.” camila bounced you on her hip, walking to the kitchen. she pulled out one of your bottles from the dishwasher.
she warmed up some milk on the stove, shushing your cries whenever you heard thunder. eventually, she had your bottle ready and went back to the bedroom. camila cradled you, your neck in the crook of her arm.
you spat out your paci, grabbing onto the bottle and your mama’s hand, bringing the nipple to your mouth. “hey, hey, hey, little one.” camila said sternly, but softly. she couldn’t help but laugh at how eager you were for your bottle.
“you like your milk, sweetie? yea?” camila babied, stroking your cheeks. your eyes smiled for you, your hand going up to play with camila’s hair.
when the next boom of thunder shook the house, you didn’t even flinch, looking up at your mama. one of your hands was still holding onto hers, making her kiss it. “good baby!!! you’re so brave, aren’t you?”
you finished your bottle soon after, and you were drifting off in your mama’s arms. the wacky sound effects of looney tunes didn’t even bother you. camila put your blankie over you and put your paci in. “sleepy baby… go nini.” her voice was soft, that being the last thing you heard before falling asleep.

Little!Daisy and Mama!Camila <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Little Daisy is feeling tired and fussy but Mama Cami helps soothe her !!
For @half-eclipse who is baby daisy and mama cami’s biggest supporter in the world!!
Tw: tantrums, smoking mentioned, somewhat violent stimming, I’m typing this while half a sleep so the editing here is really bad
Word count: 1009
The studio was uncharacteristically quiet. Camila had brought lunch for the band, a beef and rosemary pie. They were incapable of remembering to take breaks so it was strange not to hear some sort of racket coming from the recording room. She let herself in, leaving her pie on the closest empty stool. Billy was fiddling with the tuning of his guitar with a sour look on his face. Karen and Graham were on the couch laughing about god knows what. Warren and Eddie were having a hushed conversation in the far corner. Camila noticed almost immediately that Daisy wasn’t there.
Karen spotted her first, her face lighting up when she saw her friend enter the room. Before anyone could great Camila she cut in, “Where’s Daisy?” The only reason she could think that Daisy wasn’t there was that she’d either gotten in a fight with Billy or she was somewhere unsafe. Neither sat well with Camila.
“In her car,” Billy huffed.
“She said she was going for a smoke like 40 minutes ago but she’s refused to come back in,” Karen explained. Camila frowned, rubbing frustratedly at her forehead.
“Right. This is what we’re gonna do. You guys are going to eat something, with a glass of water. I’m going to get Daisy. And next time, you don’t leave a child alone in the car.” She instructed, turning on her heel and leaving the room. She was frustrated, a little bit at the band for leaving Daisy to ruminate with whatever was going on in her head, and a little bit with Daisy who knew how short of a deadline they were working on to finish the album. Still, she kept her composure as she knocked on the passenger window of Daisy’s car. The car was running but Daisy was in the passenger side, feet curled up on the seat, thumb in her mouth. When she heard the knock on the window Daisy jolted up quickly, with eyes like a startled deer she pulled her thumb from her mouth. When she saw it was Camila she relaxed instantly and wound down the window.
“Hi,” she mumbled around her thumb that had already returned to her mouth.
“That’s icky,” Camila tutted gently, guiding Daisy’s hand away from her mouth. She untucked Daisy’s chew necklace from her shirt and offered that instead. “What’re you doing out here?” Daisy just shrugged. “Are you going back in?” Daisy huffed, her eyebrows knitting together in frustration.
“Don’t wanna,” she whined, stomping her feet on the bottom of the car. Camila frowned in confusion. Daisy loved the studio. It didn’t matter if she was big or little Daisy always loved being in the studio. Camila circled around to the other side of the car, slipping into the drivers seat.
“Daisy, why don’t you want to go inside?” Camila asked gently. Daisy turned her head away, slumping down in her seat. “Bebè,” Camila cooed. She gently traced her finger along Daisy’s shoulder. “Talk to me.” Daisy sniffled and shook her head. Camila sighed, rubbing her temples with frustration. She could see the exhaustion in Daisy’s body, explaining all the fussing. “Daisy,” she urged gently. Daisy glanced at Camila, tears of frustration blooming in her eyes. She whined, stomping her feet again and grunting with frustration. All her emotions were bubbling up inside of her like boiling water. She began pounding her fists against her knees, expelling some of her pent up frustration. “Hey, duckling, no.” Camila held her hands over Daisy’s knees, grabbing her fists and holding them still. Daisy sighed, dropping back down against the chair and scrunching her eyes closed. “Come here little bug,” Camila cooed gently.
Daisy crawled over the middle of the two seats to get to Camila’s lap. It was a tight fit, her legs hanging over onto the passenger seat and her back against the door. She pressed her head into Camila’s shoulder. Camila gently rubbed circles on Daisy’s back. “I know you’re frustrated right now but I need you to use your words and tell me what’s going on.” Daisy deflated, fiddling with her necklace.
“Don’t wan’ work,” she pouted.
“You don’t have to work,” Camila explained. “But you can’t stay in the car either.” Daisy couldn’t help the huff of upset which came. The thought of going in the studio was exhausting. She knew they had to finish the album soon and she felt awful that she couldn’t help but she was exhausted and small and she just wanted to go home. Camila hushed her gently, bouncing her knee soothingly. “You look tired, have you been sleeping duckling?” Daisy shook her head, no. Camila nodded in understanding, holding Daisy in her arms. She could feel the tensions leave Daisy’s body until she was slumped peacefully against Camila’s shoulder.
“How about this sweet girl, we go inside and have some lunch then you can come home with me?” Camila suggested. Daisy nodded eagerly. If she could go home with Camila she could play with her toys and maybe even watch cartoons! “We’ll have a nap,” Camila added. Daisy huffed. “Baby,” Camila warned. Daisy sighed. Maybe having a nap wouldn’t be so bad.
“We can has nap,” Daisy mumbled.
“Thank you little bug.”
Camila took Daisy inside and they ate lunch together, the rest of the band had dispersed but Karen hung back to eat with them. “Do you want to come home with us too, Karen?” It really didn’t seem like the band would get much done for the rest of the day. Karen declined the invitation, opting to mess around with Graham and a new piece of music they’d been tinkering with instead.
Daisy had gotten a bit fussy when they’d arrived home, fighting off sleep as desperately as she could. However as soon as Camila turned on the record player and cuddled up with her in bed Daisy was calm. She had all her stuffed animals bundled in her arms and she was in Camila’s. The world suddenly felt very still and Daisy let a peaceful sleep take over her.

Little!Karen Sirko Ficlet
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Little Karen has a panic attack and needs her mama to make everything better. (Ft. protective sister Daisy)
Tw: panic attack
Word count: 1598
💫☀️🌙🌟
Karen was crying. She didn’t know why. All she knew was that the world felt like it was rushing past her a million miles and hour and there was nothing she could do to catch up. She hated crying. So, so much. It made her weak, that’s what her father had told her. It made her weak. Karen didn’t feel very strong at all. Her body was so heavy it might’ve been made of lead. She felt so small, so weak. The only thing she could think to do was call Camila. She needed Camila. She needed her Mama. But her mind felt fuzzy and the phone was out of reach. Karen curled herself into a small ball at the end of the couch. She had been fine just moments ago, then it all hit her. The weight of the entire world. She just felt so small, so stupid. She couldn’t do anything. There was an indescribable weight on her chest, like an elephant, and it was very scary.
Karen briefly registered the sound of someone walking into the room but she didn’t move to see them and only realised it was Daisy when the other girl was right beside her on the couch.
“Keys? What’s the matter?” Daisy didn’t sound particularly big herself but was definitely feeling a bit older than Karen was. This just made her feel even smaller as her tears come out faster. Karen loved Daisy and knew she wanted to help her but nothing could help her right now except her Mama.
“Need Mama,” She whimpered sadly, sniffling and burying herself against Daisy for any comfort she could get.
“Ok, ok. I can call mama.” Daisy sounded a little bit scared but Karen thought she was being very brave.
The phone rang once, then twice, if Camila didn’t answer Daisy thought Karen might just stop breathing. But it was Camila, so of course she answered. Camila’s voice was calm on the other side, “Hello, Camila speaking,”
“Karen needs you mama.” Daisy sounded a lot smaller talking to Camila but she was still holding Karen and rocking them both back and forth gently so it was ok. Daisy handed the phone to Karen.
“Karen? What happened?” Karen let out a strangled breath, her body shaking as she clutched desperately to the phone. She wanted to scream but her throat felt like it was tied up by barbed wire. “Karen?” Karen let out a soft sob, trying to muffle it with her hand but failing miserably. “What’s the matter? Can you use your words for me, mi Cariño?”
Karen whimpered at the soft pet name. “Mama,” her voice came out choked and barely above a whisper but Camila heard.
“Oh, baby, you’re feeling pretty small?” Karen sniffled and nodded.
“Need mama.”
“Ok bebé, mamas coming.”
***
The drive from Billy and Camila’s house to the band’s house was exactly 13 minutes. Camila arrived in 10. When she entered the house she could immediately hear Karen’s poorly muffled cries. The two girls were still on the couch, Daisy holding Karen and rocking her gently as she cried sadly.
Camila gently took Karen into her arms, taking over from a very anxious looking Daisy. “My poor girl,” Camila cooed softly as she rubbed Karen’s back soothingly. “I’ve got you, it’s ok.” She gently moved Karen’s hands away from her face. “You’re allowed to cry, no need to hide,” she assured her.
A few moments later the tears subsided and Karen felt herself calming down. “There you go, that’s right, deep breaths,” Camila instructed. Karen’s head ached from crying and her whole body felt heavy and out of place. Daisy, who Karen hadn’t noticed had disappeared for a second, popped back onto the couch with Karen’s stuffed dragon.
“I brought Ziggy,” Daisy explained as she handed it to Karen who quickly took the toy and held it tightly to her chest. She yawned as she rested her head back against Camila’s shoulder.
“I think it might be nap time,” Camila hummed. Karen wanted to protest but when she opened her mouth she was met with another yawn. Daisy did whine though, flopping herself dramatically backwards across the couch.
“Naps are boring,” she grumbled.
“You don’t have to take a nap, just some quiet time.”
Camila held Karen’s hand as they went up to her bedroom, Daisy ran ahead to grab her stuffies and bring them in. “You were so brave Bebe,” Camila praised as she helped Karen get ready for her nap.
“Nuh uh, cried like a baby,” Karen whined quietly before slipping her pacifier into her mouth. She definitely did not feel brave. She felt silly, little and achy.
“Crying doesn’t make you a baby. Besides, being a baby isn’t bad anyway, it means I get to take care of you and that isn’t so bad?” Camila soothed as she finished putting Karen's hair into two plaits. Usually Karen hated having her hair done but right now she felt too tired and Camila’s gentle hands in her hair were actually soo thing
Karen shrugged, it wasn’t so bad letting Mama take care of her. She climbed into bed just as Daisy came in, clutching her plethora of stuffies in her arms.
“Everyone wan’ed to come see if you were feeling better,” Daisy explained as she climbed onto the bed next to Karen. “‘Specially Dusty,” Daisy placed her stuffed bunny on the bed in front of Karen. “You can hug him if you want,” she offered. Karen was already holding Ziggy and she knew he actually gave the best cuddles. Still, she reached out to gently pet Dusty’s floppy ears because she wanted Daisy to know she appreciated the offer. Camila gently smoothed her hand over Karen’s hair. “I’m gonna go get you both a drink ok? Will you be ok here for a minute?” The question was technically for both of them but Karen knew it was directed to her.
“I be ok,” she nodded, nuzzling into Daisy’s side. Daisy wrapped her arms around Karen protectively.
While Camila went to get their drinks, Daisy and Karen curled up in the bed. Somewhat resembling a pile of kittens. They were holding hands with their faces resting against the same pillow. “Do you think our stuffies are friends?” Daisy asked quietly. Karen nodded. She didn’t think a dragon like Ziggy would ever choose to be friends with a bunny, a dog, a lamb and a bear in real life but maybe in a story book.
“They all live in a little forest,” Karen let her pacifier slip onto the pillow beside her head as she spoke. “And they live in a tree house,” She closed her eyes a bit to imagine a world where they were all friends.
“Can Ziggy fit inside? Dragons are big,”
“No, but that’s ok, he protects them from outside and they have a biiiiig window so he can see inside.” Daisy seemed content with this response and rolled onto her back, gently rubbing Dusty’s soft grey ear against her cheek.
“Will Ziggy protect us too?” She asked meekly. Karen nodded.
A few moments later Camila came back holding a sippy cup and a baby bottle. Both girls shuffled apart so she could fit in between them. Camila handed the sippy cup to Daisy, it was yellow with little flowers on it and from the happy hum Daisy let out when she began drinking from it Karen assumed it contained apple juice. Camila gently guided Karen into her arms, cradling her in her lap and letting her rest her head against her shoulder. She held the bottle as she gently slipped it into Karen’s mouth. Karen didn’t usually have bottles, they made her feel very little, but today she didn’t mind it. Today it felt nice to let Camila care for her like this. There was cool milk in the bottle, it wasn’t as sweet as juice but felt gentler on Karen’s throat. It somehow immediately managed to soothe her aching head.
Karen hadn’t realised that she’d drifted off until she woke up again. Her head felt fuzzy and her body a bit too warm. She was still in Camila’s arms and she could hear Daisy talking quietly, but very quickly and excitedly, about something.
Karen slowly peaked her eyes open, the light feeling too bright in her eyes and causing her to whine and shelter her face against Camila’s shoulder. Camila wordlessly began stroking her hand up and down Karen’s arm. The world for just this moment felt very still. All Karen was aware of was Daisy’s hushed voice and Camila’s warm arms.
“Did you sleep well baby?” Camila asked quietly. Karen nodded, untucking her head from her shoulder. Her head didn’t hurt anymore and her body felt lighter. “That’s good, my love.” Daisy shuffled around on the bed next to them, moving her face over so it was close to Karen’s.
“Guess what,” she whispered excitedly,
“What?” Karen mumbled tiredly,
“Mama says we can make cookies if you want.” Daisy sounded very excited by this, in fact she was practically buzzing. Even though Karen still felt sleepy and like she wanted to stay in bed for a very long time, Daisy’s eagerness did make baking cookies sound incredibly exciting.
By the time the cookies were in the oven Karen was laughing and flinging flour at Daisy across the kitchen. She could barely remember how she’d felt a few hours ago and all that mattered was her mama, Daisy, and how nice it was going to feel to have warm cookies in her belly soon.

The phone was ringing. The phone was ringing and Billy was still in the shower.
Daisy looked nervously between the bathroom door and the phone beside the bed.
The phone was ringing and Billy was in the shower and Daisy felt too little to know what to do. The phone was so loud and annoying she just wanted it to stop. Daisy reached over, picking up the phone, glad when it finally stopped ringing. “Hello?” She answered quietly, pressing the phone to her cheek. There was a moment of silence from the other end and Daisy began questioning who would be calling Billy’s hotel room at 10 am anyway.
“Daisy?” The voice on the other side responded. Camila. Oh. Daisy hummed affirmatively, rolling over onto her back. She knew Camila was aware of her regression, but they’d never really interacted while Daisy was little. “Daisy, what're you doing with Billy’s phone?” There was a tone of uncertainty in her voice which went straight over Daisy’s head.
“Billy in the shower,” she answered, sounding very small but knowing through the phone Camila probably wouldn’t be able to tell.
“Why is Billy in the shower?” Daisy froze, fiddling with the phone cord. Billy was in the shower because while he’d been having a nap Daisy had drawn on his face with marker.
“He cleanin’ marker off his face,”
“Oh?”
“He was sleepin’ and, and Karen wasn’t here, so I drews pretty flowers on his cheeks,” Daisy giggled, instantly warming up to Camila. Camila laughed back softly over the phone. “M, used pinks and purples, even yellow!” Daisy exclaimed, reaching across the bed to grab her markers again.
“You like drawing, huh?” Daisy nodded, forgetting that Camila couldn’t see her response.
“Billy said it was pretty,”
“Oh I’m sure it was. What’s your favourite colour to draw with?” Daisy thought for a moment, she had a yellow marker in her hand right now.
“Lellow.” Yellow, Daisy thought, was not only the happiest colour but it also drew the prettiest things. The sun, the middle of flowers, Karen’s hair, Apollo’s fur.
“That’s a great choice, darling, yellow is a great colour,” Camila praised. Daisy grinned, happy she’d chosen a good colour. The shower water turned off and a few moments later Billy emerged.
“Fuck, Daisy, who’s there?” He asked, towel drying his hair.
“Mila,” Daisy answered. “Billy said a no-no word,” Daisy giggled to Camila through the phone before holding the phone out to Billy. Billy took the phone and began talking to Camila. Daisy rolled across the bed, stretching out her limbs. Apollo was lying across the floor and she slipped off the bed to lay next to him, burying her face in his soft fur.
When she heard Billy biding Camila goodbye, Daisy poked her head up over the edge of the bed. “Mila bye bye?” She questioned, holding out her hand.
Billy smiled, “of course, you can say bye baby.” He gently patted the spot next to him. Daisy pulled herself up and crawled across the bed, curling into Billy’s side. She pressed the phone to her ear.
“Would you want to draw wif me sometime? You can use even my lellow marker?”
“I’d love that darling,” Daisy hummed happily.
“Soon,” Camila promised.
“Bye-bye Mila,” Daisy smiled, waving the hand which wasn’t holding the phone.
“Bye bye Daisy.” Daisy decided then that Camila would be a good friend, she’d said she’d want to colour with her sometime so that definitely put her in the good books.
***
A week later, Karen was helping Daisy get ready for their show when there was a knock on the hotel room. Karen put down the eyeliner, kissed Daisy’s forehead and went to open the door. There was a moment of quiet conversation before Daisy’s curiosity got the best of her. Daisy poked her head around the corner, peaking in on whoever Karen was talking to. When she heard Camila’s voice she immediately came out from hiding, slipping up next to Karen.
“Hi Daisy,” Camila greeted. Daisy grinned, excitedly flapping her hands by her sides.
“You can say hi baby,” Karen assured her, knowing Daisy could get a bit anxious being little around other people. However this was not the case around Camila apparently as Daisy immediately threw herself into Camila’s arms. Camila laughed softly, wrapping her arms around Daisy.
“Hi,” Daisy babbled, sounding very small. She took Camila’s hand, dragging her inside the hotel room. “I gots colouring books,” she explained happily, remembering their phone call. “And crayons or markers. Lots of lellow,”
“Oh really, I bet you’ve got heaps! But it looks like you’re getting ready right now,” Daisy stopped, pouting and turning to Camila.
“No, I don’t need to get ready,” she stated matter of factly. Personally, Daisy was not very bothered by the one sided cat eye look.
“Actually, you do,” Karen laughed softly. “Just five more minutes then you can show Cami whatever you would like.” Daisy scrunched up her nose in disappointment and crossed her arms. Karen held out a hand which Daisy reluctantly took, following her back to the vanity. Getting ready was so boring. “Just stay still for five more seconds,” Karen promised. Daisy began counting down from five quickly, Karen tutted softly. “Alright, not quite five seconds.”
While Karen finished her makeup Camila began taking out Daisy’s braids. Daisy tried super hard to stay still. Though it was hard and she had to keep swinging her legs because otherwise she thought she might just burst. Daisy picked out some little flower clips for her hair and Karen and Camila put them in for her. As soon as they were done Daisy was out of her seat and grabbing her colouring books off the bed. “I got this book with flowers which is my bestest one but you could use it,” Daisy offered, holding her colouring book out to Camila. “Ma can have the animals one because it is your favourite,” Daisy added, offering a colouring book to Karen too.
“Which one will you use?” Camila asked, taking the offered colouring book and sitting on the hotel bed.
“I do one with you?” Daisy asked.
“Of course, little one.” Daisy grinned happily and curled up on the bed next to Camila. Karen smiled at the sight of her baby and her best friend curled up together. She sat down on the other side of Daisy, smiling when the red haired girl immediately reached out to hold her hand as she looked through the colouring book with Camila.
“15 minutes then we have to go down for the show ok?” Karen reminded her, knowing otherwise they’d forget and literally have riots in the stadium across the road. Daisy huffed but nodded, pulling out her crayons and picking a colouring page she wanted. Daisy handed Camila a pink crayon and took a yellow one for herself.
“Wha’s Ma doing?” Daisy questioned, poking her head over Karen’s shoulder.
“I was gonna do this puppy dog, what do you think?” Daisy nodded eagerly, pleased by Karen’s choice.
“Mila and baby gonna do this one,” Daisy grinned pointing to the page she’d chosen. The page had a singular flower in the centre which was surrounded by little bees and butterflies.
“Good choice Daisy-Bird,” Karen praised. Daisy rested her head on Camila’s shoulder as she began to colour with her non-dominant hand as it was the only one which was free - the other occupied by holding onto the hem of Camila’s shirt.
Daisy and Camila had filled in three pages of the colouring book in fifteen minutes - Camila had coloured in and Daisy had scribbled over the top of it. Still, Camila promised to take them home with her and put all three on the fridge.
“Will you watch me tonight?” Daisy questioned as they walked towards the rest of the band, she was walking backwards haphazardly so she could face Camila.
“Of course I will,” Camila smiled warmly. She placed a hand on Daisy’s shoulder to turn her around. “I’ll be cheering the loudest for you Bebé.”
***
Daisy loved being on stage. She loved singing her songs, she loved getting to jump and spin, she loved being cocooned by sound. It felt like she was flying. Freedom. Camila seemed to stand out like a shining light amongst the crowd, Daisy couldn’t help but wave at her between songs. It was exciting being little on stage. Sure, the whole world was watching but nobody cared if she jumped around and sang at the top of her lungs. When she was on stage they liked it. It was really just Daisy, her band and the music she loved with her whole soul.
***
Camila somehow managed to make her way backstage just as the band got off. Daisy managed to beat Billy to Camila’s arms, throwing herself against the brunette. “Did you see? Did you see?” Daisy questioned giddily.
“Of course I saw Bebé,” Camila smiled proudly. Daisy hummed happily, resting her head on Camila’s shoulder.
“Do I get a turn with my wife now?” Billy teased playfully. Daisy shook her head and pouted at Billy.
“I’m having baby cuddles right now,” Camila tutted with a smirk, pressing a kiss to the top of Daisy’s head.
“Yeah, baby cuddles,” Daisy parroted, sticking her tongue out at Billy. Billy placed a chaste kiss on Camila’s lips and Daisy pulled herself away with disgust on her face. “Icky!” She groaned, turning to Karen. “Ma, Billy icky!”
Karen, Billy and Camila chuckled at the little’s disgust at the affection. “Oh you tell him,” Karen encouraged, wrapping an arm around Daisy as they walked further from the stage. Daisy dropped her head onto Karen’s shoulder as they walked. “I’ve got a sleepy girl haven’t I?” She cooed.
“Nuh-uh.” She whined, rubbing at her sleepy eyes. As the adrenaline of the show wore off the exhaustion did begin to hit but Daisy didn’t want to go to bed she wanted to be able to stay up and play with Camila!
“Daisy bug, you’re so sleepy. Don’t you want a nice bath and a bottle?”
“Bath and bottle then play?” Daisy suggested as she suppressed a yawn.
“Bath and bottle then bed,” Karen corrected. “You can play in the morning.”
“Play with ‘Mila?” Daisy questioned sweetly, not liking the idea of her new friend leaving overnight.
“Yeah we can play together in the morning Daisy,” Camila promised, placing a gentle hand on Daisy’s back. “But you have to go to sleep for Karen first, yeah?” Daisy nodded eagerly.
“I go sleeps straight away!”
Karen laughed, shaking her head in amusement. “Camila, we need to keep you around more, this monkey never agrees to sleep.” Daisy giggled, imitating monkey noises. Karen smirked and tickled Daisy’s side, “Where’s Daisy gone hm? And where did this silly monkey come from!” Daisy squealed, jolting away from Karen and hiding herself between Camila and Billy.
“Save me!” She squealed, holding onto both of their hands.
“Always,” Camila promised with a soft laugh, shielding Daisy in her arms.

Camila would have to constantly go over to make sure that Karen and Daisy are eating nice home cooked meals… like both of them are just straight up awful at cooking and Camila can’t even leave meals for them to reheat because somehow Daisy always ends up burning them

I’ll properly flesh this out in the morning but for now have some little Daisy and cg Cami thoughts…
(Tw drug mention, relapse mention)
Daisy having a bad night and being scared she’s gonna relapse but instead going to Camila and just ahh the comfort that would ensue…
Daisy showing up the their house really upset and crying while she tries to explain to Cami that she’s scared and she doesn’t want to be alone.
Cami holding Daisy and reminding her that she will never ever be alone as long as she has Camila.
Once Daisy’s calmed down, giving her a bath (she practically falls asleep while Cami washes her hair) and getting her into one of Billy’s shirts because they swamp her and make her feel tiny
Camila putting on a vinyl (probably Abbey Road) and gently humming to Daisy until she falls asleep + holding Daisy all night so she doesn’t wake up scared and alone.
Daisy waking up the next morning and feeling bad for interrupting Camila’s night, but Camila’s already getting ready to make breakfast.
Spending the whole day with Daisy by her side, even when she’s working on some photos because she needs Daisy to know that she’d never be a burden for not wanting to be alone
