i must admit i have stannis vision and hes my hashtag #onetruekingofwesteros in reality i know hes not rly the nicest baratheon. maybe the kindest? in his. own way. listen his autistic swag has bewitched me. he definitely cares. more than his brothers do in many ways. maybe. i have stannis vision im sorry but ur addition to my post was thoughtful

Okay i will say. I also have stannis vision but i have no idea how and why it happened. I honestly would not call him neither the nicest or the kindest baratheon, because i think renly is the kindest(from what we've seen). What makes him different from his brothers is his absolute neutrality in regards to moral actions. What kindness he shows is a direct result of his "this is what should be done rightfully" approach. He was not nice to davos when he raised him to knighthood, it's what he deemed appropriate after davos showed courage, stealth and skill and saved nobles through his skillset. I dont remember who said it but the "no one is more cruel than a truly just man" is what his character archetype is.

Stannis is a study on both how far ahead can you go in the name of prophect AND also(imo more importantly) whether a just man, an all-objective ruler with no personal connections is a good one or not. George's answer to this question is, of course, no. We see over time that the personal connection he shares with davos is what saves him from irredeemable points and also to victory as well. And i think this is also the golden mark for stannis and the only reason many believe that he can be a good ruler: he listens. He listens the estermonts the turncloaks, he listens melisandre the religious zealot, he listens davos who owes him everything, he listens jon the young bastard commander. He's not kind, he's not morally good, but he listens. He is capable of adaptation and doing good deeds. This is a great contrast to robert who does not listen to jon arryn or ned, and ned does not even try to get him involved because he doesn't listen to the ones he loves when he wants something to be done.

I do not see stannis as #onetrueking but i genuiely think he should have place in the great council, but i dont think he would settle for that anymore. Honestly i know the wall will fall but my dream endgame for him is him becoming the 1000th lord commander of the night's watch. There are some ficlets where all baratheons are on the wall and it's sooo good. His autistic swag and repressed emotions will save the wall for sure
