One Line Seahorse is an illustration from my series of one line drawings. It was inspired by seahorses, ocean, minimal lines, and movement. I wanted to capture the delicate and elegant nature of a sea horse by using one line. Asra:

•painter-the simplistic complex kind

•will paint abstracts and portraits- most of their works combine the two

•they love sleep, but if it’s 3AM and they can’t sleep? they’re painting

•if their dream was bad enough, or pretty enough, or it just happens that they wake up in the middle of the night, they’ll doodle whatever they’re thinking about to paint later- very rarely do they actually get out of bed to do so right then and there

•their pieces either have 100% OR 0% meanings behind them, there’s no in between

•somehow includes faust in all their paintings- whether its the subject matter, secretly included, or obviously included- she’s always there,, tbh people play ‘spot faust’ when they look  at any of their pieces

•rarely, but does do 3D paintings, usually they either have to be willing to put a month into a piece or they’re getting paid to do it

Julian:

•doesn’t paint- but does draw all the time

•draws realism- various live models posing, human anatomy “practices” (yknow the one where artists draw all the muscle stands), different body part researches, etc.

•the most “””abstract””” art is his oneline drawings, either he is able to achieve every detail in the face, or he’s able to draw from the head all the way down to each individual toe, it’s fascinating 

•sketches in pen (both as warmup and in actual art pieces)

•loves charcoal though- he has that shit all the way his his elbows

•spends 10min or 24hrs on a piece, no in between

•exclusively uses black and white, the most color he used was when he mixed it up one time and placed sticky notes/colored paper on various parts of his piece and drew on them 

Nadia:

•sculptor- the kind that puts everything together using various mediums and items (glass, gears, wire, etc.)

•a lot of her art??? mechanically works??? i.e. moving by a flick of a switch, spouting water (there was ink in one of her pieces but the owner of one of the buildings her gallery was in said she had to replace it with water), etc.

•she’s the type to stay up trying to finish her art really really late into the night, just because she doesn’t like it when her art takes more than one day to complete- that does vary depending on how big and small it is, and how complex her artwork would be

•makes really small sculptures when she can’t sleep, or make pieces that are going to a bigger work- it distracts her from whatever is keeping her up

•usually draws before she builds, if she doesn’t know how something is gonna be put together, expect copious amounts of thumbnails or even finished illustrations to figure it out

Muriel:

•sculpting is his favorite thing to do- where he carves out of various mediums or if it’s clay, he builds it

•despite always sculpting, he has a sketchbook filled with various forms of still life. animals, the woods, even people. surprisingly really good at gouache and watercolors

•the favorite part of his works is the time put into them, not the outcome of them, as long as he’s busy, he’s at ease

•going back to to the various mediums part, he’s able to carve out of ANYTHING, give him time 

•his hands are dirty constantly- especially when he works with clay. he’s completely alright with the mess, prefers his hands being dirty sometimes- when he looks down it fills him with a sense of calmness may or may not have consumed whatever he was carving out of by accident

•he and Asra have art sessions where neither speak for hours and just sit/stand and create

•the longer it takes for him to complete a piece, the more content he is, tbh

Portia:

•digital artist- the only time she uses paper is when she can’t use her laptop, or if it’s something she’s just Got to jot down (although when she has severe art block she sits with her brother and idly doodles with one of his pencils and scraps of paper)

•pulls all nighters constantly- but yet somehow never suffers from it

•muted pastel colors, neon fucked the 80s, or black/white/gray- THERE’S NO IN BETWEEN

•well known artstyle, it simultaneously does and doesn’t match how she looks like- the reaction when people see her varies

•well known tumblr AND twitter artist, both platforms are kind to her

•when she draws her “artist persona” it looks just like her to the individual freckles- the only difference is she’s usually chibi

•has art in So Many fandoms- a lot of OCs/self inserts in said fandoms, that she actually receives asks/dms about if they’re really in whatever it is or not
