Donnie would turn Lil Hater into an iPad kid of it weren't for Leo and Usagi.
Change my mind.
Yep, though he's not really a ' stare at the screen til he has a headache' iPad kid he's more of a 'I'm gonna take this thing apart and I probably won't be able to put it back together again'
Which is more concerning cause Leo absolutely gave Lil hater a hand-me-down tablet and he immediately took the thing apart, rendering it useless.
So now they will have to either get Donnie to fix it ( which means Leo will owe him or will have to do something ridiculous/embarrassing in return) or buy a new one. And they don't exactly make a ton of money so :/
Usagi is absolutely a 'no technology ' kind of dad ( crunchy dad ) BUT he is also soft and will immediately give in if Lil hater asked for some form of technology.

The 2012 Hamato Clan in their 20s
I got this idea from someone on discord. I thought it was so cool I had to give it a try!
Now that his brothers are less likely to accidentally kill themselves and Earth is at peace, Leo’s enjoying not being the parent for once, though he often still slips into his role as head of the family and mediator of chaos. He’s kinda given up on love and as accepted is role as “Cool, but also very dorky uncle.” I imagine he’s a lot like Iroh.
Raph has gone full Dad. Mona help’s him raise Chompy and I’d imagine that they adopted more weird alien/mutant kids as time goes on. Him and Leo still spar all the time to stay fit and go on crime busting adventures together with Casey. Raph travels back and forth between Earth and Salamandria every year so Mona can visit her family, and so Mona can show him her home.
Donnie has leaned into his “mad scientist” persona and has used the internet to release he’s discoveries about mutagen, the Kraang, the Triceratons, and everything else. He teaches science online for extra cash and builds his wildest dreams into existence. He too has kind of given up on love, being burned out by his self inflicted drama with April. Though little does he know one of his female students has a crush on him (even though she’s never seen his face) and is attempting to track him down.
Mikey hasn’t grown up, and never will. He still skateboards in the lair, and plays Mazes and Mutants with Ice Cream Kitty. Donnie introduced him to online gaming and he loves it. He’s got a team of other gamer friends (including Mondo Gecko) who he talks/plays with almost every night. He’s still to this day trying to convince everyone that Pizza Milkshake isn’t that bad even though Murakami-San told him that “some things are just not meant to be.”
April has gone to college to be a bioengineer as a pursuit of her passions in science. Casey plays for the professional hockey team that plays at April’s college. He was offered more money on a different team, but he would’ve had to move out of New York, so he stayed and after a few months, proposed to April. She said yes.
Karai is still the leader of the Foot Clan alongside her best friend Shinnigami. She hangs out with the Hamato clan all the time, usually coming over for dinner. Every six months, however she has to go back to Tokyo to manage the Foot Clan in Japan. Everyone is always happy when she finally comes back and they throw a party.
Splinter is smiling upon them.

Long caption warning 💀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prev
PLEASE. Ignore my spelling errors I’m so tired.
*cracks knuckles* Alright, some people on Instagram asked for this and so now I will share. (Angst warning pssshhh)
My timeline for my F!Donnie (starting just before CJ was introduced):
- Over the years, Donnie would join in battles, mostly providing long range defense, all the while blasting his tunes on full blast
- But that changed when he got Krang’d right to his head, Mikey was able to remove the infection, but this caused Don’s eyesight to become quite poor (and for him to not trust himself in combat afterwards.)
- After that incident, Donnie became absolutely fascinated with Krang tech and biology, subconsciously wondering if he could replicate that raw “power” he’d felt when the Krang was infecting him, and if he could control it, understand it.
- He didn’t like that, but over time he felt it was necessary to beating the Krang. “Keep your friends close, and keep your enemies closer” type deal
- So Donnie becomes “the guy in the chair” (oh yeah he also rebuilt Shelldon. Finally. </3)
- Cj was born, Cassandra had fallen in battle only a few months later, leaving the turtles and April to fully take care of CJ
- While Leo, being the leader, took on most of the responsibility, Donnie got to spend more time with CJ as a result of staying at their base more
- Donnie LOVED being around CJ, he would teach CJ everything he knew, even if CJ didn’t quite understand him yet. He even let CJ hang around in his lab, (as long as he touched NOTHING.) Donnie even upgraded Cassandra’s hockey stick and mask then gave them to CJ
- only a few years later had Raph fallen as well
- Donnie felt as if it was partially his fault Raph couldn’t get out alive, and so he begrudgingly quit his role as “the guy in the chair,” dedicating all of his time to his inventions
- He became MUCH more reclusive, leaving everyone in the dark about what (and how) he was doing. To CJ, he was more of a “presence” rather than an uncle now
- He then revealed his new invention, the Raph mech (Don has the shittiest coping skills known to man)
- Another couple years pass, Don still using all of his time to conduct his “experiments”
- Around this time, Leo had lost his arm. Donnie reconfigured one of his Raph mech’s arms to fit Leo to use as a prosthetic, the Raph mech was later decommissioned
- One day, Donnie oddly insisted on tagging along on a mission with Leo and Mikey
- HOLY MOLY LONG STORY SHORT, they get caught by a Krang soldier on their mission. But instead of taking cover, Donnie charges straight for the Krang mech
- Mikey and Leo watch in astonishment as Donnie manages to swiftly climb up onto the Krang mech and mount himself on its back, using his battle shell’s limbs for support
- To their horror, Donnie rips off his gloves and reveals his robotic arms, and starts tearing into the back of the mech, digging into the inside of it
- He deploys the wires and his own Krang biomass from his robotic arms, and shoves it all into the back of the Krang mech
- For a few moments, he struggles. Then, with purple glowing markings, his expression suddenly changes and the opening where the Krang soldier was mounted closed up, crushing the Krang inside
-ok so longer story shorter- through all of the struggle, the Krang he’d trapped in his prosthetic arms had been creeping onto him and was soon to make contact with his skin. And the building they were all in starts to collapse, (and when I say “building” I mean a giant NY style skyscraper,) and in an effort to save Mikey and Leo from being crushed, Donnie holds up what rubble he can with the now possessed mech, getting himself crushed, unable to hold up all the weight forever.
(But not before an epic and heartfelt monologue and musical number.)
Good god I’m so EMBARRASSING
I wish. I could wright fanfiction.
Goodbye now 🏃💨

Family Camping and Paddle Boarding (Fluff) (Crack-ish)
Bayverse!Michelangelo x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: I’ve decided to make this with Mikey🧡 I’ve also decided to focus on the paddle board aspect, with the family as a background thing. With that being said, I’ve never paddle boarded before, so I googled a few things😂 Writers block also decided to hit me, so it is not as long as I wanted it to be (which is also where the “sir” and “lady” thing came from. My banter writing just locked up😭). But I still hope you’ll enjoy🧡
--------
You take your four turtle friends with you on a camping trip with your extended family, culminating in you and Mikey joking around on a paddle board.
Warnings: Spelling and Mikey thinking he’s funny🧡
--------
Back when you first met the turtles, you never thought there would be a day where you would bring them with you on a family trip. But here you were, almost ten years later, setting up camp with your four best friends and your extended family. Donnie was busy setting up the big tent for the turtles with your two oldest cousins, Leo and Splinter was talking with your parents and your aunts and uncles, while Raph and Mikey was playing around with your youngest cousins. It was an amazing sight, seeing the guys taking part in such mundane day to day things with your family. Your family had been so kind, and taken your friends and their father in, treating them like yet another part of your big family. There were times where you still couldn’t believe how lucky you were, both to have met these amazing guys, but having such a wonderful and understanding family to call yours.
With the campsite ready, it didn’t take long for your younger cousins to scream about the beach, running to their stuff to find their swimwear. Not too long after, all of you headed towards the secluded beach, ready to enjoy your time in the nice summer sun. You, clad in your favorite bathing suit, walked out into the water with your paddle board under your arm, the paddle in the other, and the strap around your ankle. Standing in the shallow water, you savored the feeling of the cold water around your feet, the fresh air and the warm sun.
“What do you have there, (Y/N)?”, sounded Mikey’s curious voice behind you. You turned to smile at the friendly faced turtle. His orange swim trunks hugged the lower half of the body, showing off the small heart shaped mark on his plastron. You were amused to see his gold chains still hanging around his neck, with his sunglasses hanging over them. His orange bandana was gone, left in his and his brothers’ tent back at the campsite just between the trees.
“A paddle board”, you smiled. Mikey didn’t seem any less curious, asking if it was anything like a surfboard. “Not really. You don’t use it to surf. You use it to paddle along the water”. You held the paddle up. “With a paddle”.
“Can I try?”, he asked, his eyes big in anticipation.
“Sure you can”, you smiled, before bending down to take the strap off your ankle, before bringing it to Mikey’s much larger ankle. Then the two of you went further out into the water until it reached the middle of Mikey’s thigh, letting the board rest on the surface.
“So what do I do?”, Mikey asked, playing with the paddle in his hand, throwing nervous glances in the direction of his brothers, who were still talking with your family on land.
“Well, the first thing you do is obviously to get on the board”, you laughed, holding the board still in front of him. “You crawl onto it, staying on your knees. Then you slowly stand up, standing on one foot at the time. Got it?”
“Is that it?”, Mikey laughed with a self satisfied smile, before he started to crawl onto the board. “A paddle board can’t break a survivor of the hashi!”
“Well, if you say so”, you smiled, removing your hands from the board, right as he began to stand up on his feet. Almost instantaneously, Mikey started wobbling on the board, yelling loudly before falling into the water. Your small cousins who had been watching from the beach started laughing hysterically. You chuckled as Mikey emerged from the water, a sheepish look on his face.
“Okay, maybe it’s harder than it sounds”, he admitted, his lips pouting a bit.
“You don’t say”, you teased, before you brought the board back in front of him. “But I have to admit, you did pretty great for your first time on a paddle board. The hashi has really prepared you” you continued with a mischievous glint in your eyes. Mikey only answered you with a suppressed smile, poking his tongue out at you, before crawling on to the paddle board once again. This time he managed to stand up straight and proud, even after you slowly removed your hands from the board.
“My turn”, you said, before climbing onto the front of the board yourself. Once on the board you sat down, your legs crossed and a bright smile on your face. “Onwards, sir Mikey!”, you exclaimed, pointing straight out towards you.
“As you wish, lady (Y/N)”, Mikey laughed, before he started to push the board forward through the water with the long paddle.
You and Mikey continued paddling up and down the waters of the beach, enjoying the sun above you. But Mikey, being his mischievous self, could not resist poking you with the paddle, as he moved it from one side of the board to another, letting out a loud “ups”, as if he didn’t mean to do it. You turned to him with a playful warning.
“Do that one more time, sir Mikey, and I’ll have your head!”
Mikey let out a dramatic gasp, a hand on his chest. “You wouldn’t!”
“I would!”, you said, playing up the drama even further, before turning back towards the direction you were floating. “A lady always keeps her word!”
“In that case”, Mikey chuckled, ready to test if your words were true, poking you with the paddle once more. And true to your words you were, jumping onto Mikey like a feral animal. Mikey started screaming loudly as he lost his balance on the paddle board, sending both of you plunging into the water with your arms around each other, causing everyone on the beach to stare.
“Way to go, Mikester! Get the girl wet!”, Raph yelled, earning a slap and a hiss from Leo.
“Not while her family is listening!”, the oldest turtle hissed, gesturing to your extended family.
“Don’t worry”, your mother laughed, watching as you and Mikey emerged laughing from the water, still hugging each other. “All of us are waiting for those two to get together”.
“You’re not the only ones that know of their little crush on one another”, your father said, pulling his hat further down his eyes, in order to block out the sun.
“Little!”, Donnie exclaimed. “Those two are practically in love”.
“Oh, we know”, your brother sighed as you and Mikey started splashing water onto one another. “We know”.

Can i please request platonic wholesome HC of future mikey with baby sister reader? (Mutant turtle who's like 1 year or so, she still crawling).
Plot; Future mikey uses his chains to attract baby reader's attention to crawl towards it, sometimes use it to carry her for fun or away from dangerous enemies.
Either way, baby reader loves her uncle Mikey. Believe it or not he was the reason she was able to start walking, and future mikey is rubbing this in everyone's faces. 😂

Warnings: platonic fluff, baby
A/N: I decided to make this... like a kid of one of the boys, it's not specified who. But it makes more since than having a baby sibling who's like 20 years younger than them.

Everyone adores you, even Donnie
They spoil you even though you're still a little too small to be spoiled
Raph loves to hold you, you fit in his palm
Leo loves to play with you, tossing you in the air, hearing you giggle
Donnie likes building you toys, though he won't hold you very often
Mikey by far spoils and hangs out with you the most.
Mikey's powers just appeal to you so much, you like watching his chains fly around while he practices
You like when he carries you with them
One day he was idly swinging his chains, just bored
You watched them swing before slowly standing
You began to walk, slowly to the chains
Mikey's back was to you but he froze, he turned to look at you
He smiled brightly watching you walk to him
Everyone else in the room watched in shock
"They're walking!"
Your parent's weren't happy that Mikey was the one that made you walk for the first time
Mikey brings it up a lot
He's often the one you walk with now
They'll be even more upset knowing Donnie got you to say your first word (DeeDee)
Donnie gets you to talk a lot, he enjoys teaching you things
Leo still plays with you a lot, throwing you around (I do this with my niece it's safe, promise.)
Raph is the one you go to when you're upset, finding his presence and size comforting, knowing he can protect you from anything

Rise August Day 2: Karai
“– and I thought Raph was going to back down until Leo mentioned his teddy bear collection.”
Karai frowned slightly.  “He…collects bears?”
“Yeah!  Stuffed animals, you know –” Mikey scribbled in the air with his fingertip, etching the outline of a teddy bear.  The bright orange outline shimmered in the dark space of their shared ninpo.  “He used to have over two hundred, but the Shredder kind of destroyed most of them.  He’s up to twenty now.  Anyway, Leo threatened to portal them all into the Hudson if we followed him on patrol tonight.”
Karai sighed.  “How illogical.  Wasn’t he the most injured by the Krang?”
“Yeah, but…”  Mikey shrugged.  “I think that’s why he wants to patrol by himself.  He hated the crutches.  I think he wants to test his limits without worrying about us watching.  Well – me and Raph watching.  I think he forgot that Donnie records, like, everything.”
A sudden shimmer of teal sparked over Mikey’s orange form.  He grimaced.
“Aw, man.  I think that’s Barry.  I told him we could do an extra mystics lesson tonight since we don’t have patrol.”
“Hmm.”  Karai shifted uneasily.  “Mystical forces can be deadly.  Do not let yourself grow overconfident, Michelangelo.”
“Not you, too!” he huffed.  “I get babied by everyone in the family.  But I’ve got just as much ninjocity as any of my brothers and three times the razzmatazz.  I know what I’m doing and I know when to stop – and when not to stop.”  He held out both hands.  They were still crisscrossed with faint scars, but here in the darkness, the scars glowed a molten yellow.
Karai placed her hands over both of his.  “You do,” she said gently, warmly.  “And I have little doubt you will achieve mastery beyond any Hamato before you.  I simply do not wish you to master too much too quickly.  Those with great talent are often called upon to bear terrible burdens.”
Mikey’s eyes softened even as he flashed her a cheeky grin.  “Don’t worry, Uncle Ben, I promise I’ll go slow.  For now.  Spider-Angelo out!”
He squeezed her hands and vanished in a crackle of orange fireworks.
She sighed.  Ninpo mysticism could translate centuries-old Japanese and modern English, but not cultural references.  Or perhaps her progeny were also part-spider…?  With the way Michelangelo flung his chains, she wouldn’t be too surprised.
She stood and stretched.  The dark space of the ninpo began to fade.  The space around her filled instead with a green landscape of rolling hills, forests, and rivers, an echo of the Japan she had been raised in.  The afterlife could take many forms.  When she had been released from her self-inflicted prison, her dead descendants had been charmed by her descriptions of the original Hamato village, and had recreated it here.  With modern additions.  Electricity was a marvelous invention, as was plumbing.  Even so, the rice paddies in the south had been set up according to ancient and well-proven agricultural science.  No one needed to eat, but there was something deeply soothing about growing a food so familiar to every generation of Hamato.  Her keen eyes picked out her father leading a few children through the paddies.  Telling them stories, likely as not, to teach them about their history.
She moved to join them.  Then Michelangelo’s words came back to her.  Leonardo was patrolling alone tonight.
But no Hamato need ever be alone.
Karai closed her eyes and rekindled her ninpo.  She let her senses stretch once again into the dark space where their mystic energy touched across generations, across the very boundary between life and death.  It only took her a moment to find him.  When she opened her eyes, the space around her was dark once again.  Leonardo was in front of her, his own eyes closed, legs folded in a traditional seiza.
She nearly spoke.  Then she recognized the look of concentration on his face.  He was frowning slightly.  His blue outline flickered and fuzzed like a sputtering fire.  Ah.  So he was attempting to activate his ninpo to visit her.  It was a good try, and he was very nearly present.  But, just in case…
It took a moment of intense concentration.  Then Karai stepped into the mortal world.
She was merely a ghost here, dissolved from the waist down into pale green smoke.  But she could see and hear well enough.  Leonardo’s blue ninpo outline was superimposed over his mortal body.  She looked around.  He was sitting on some kind of tall structure, square, with a rattling metal box at the opposite corner.  The city stretched out around them.  She walked the perimeter of the…rooftop?  Was it a roof?  It was very high.  A good vantage point, she decided, and easily defensible.  She would wake Leonardo if danger arose.  Until then, the nearby structures and the streets below were empty, save for a few stray cats.   She returned to her position in front of her many-great-grandson.
“Leonardo.”
“Gah!”
He jumped.  His outline vanished for a moment, and in the mortal world he nearly fell over.  He righted himself and reappeared immediately.
“Gram-Gram!  I – uh, didn’t think that would work?”  He grinned widely.  “You look good!  No surprise there.  Good looks run in the family, am I right?”
She raised an eyebrow and sat down.  “I doubt you ran off on your brothers solely to compliment your own face.”
“I didn’t run off on – wait – Mikey told you?  That little snitch!  That’s it, his oil paints are going in the Atlantic, I swear to pizza supreme –”
His outline winked out again.  His mortal form bent over, panting.  She waited calmly.  His ninpo reappeared a moment later, flickering more so than before.  He smiled crookedly.
“Sorry, Gram-Gram.  Just debating how many turtles are going to live to see voting age.”
“Was your trip tonight that important?” Karai asked mildly.
“Uh, yeah!” He gestured grandly to the skyline.  “I wanted to admire the view.  New, improved, and Krang-free.  I don’t, uh.  Did Mikey tell you about the Krang?”
“He did,” she said quietly.  “I then realized the true identity of the oni who possessed my father."
“Whoa, whoa, time out!”  He made a T-shape with his hands.  “That suit was Krang tech?”
The pink face of the grinning oni swam in front of her mind.  She suppressed a shudder.  “Yes.  I regret that you inherited such a terrible enemy because I was not strong enough to stop him.”
He spread his arms, grinning.  “No worries, Gram-Gram!  Anatawa hitori ja nai.  You aren’t alone, either!  It took a whole generation of Hamato 2.0 to bring him down.  Plus a heroic sacrifice by yours truly!  But, uh –”  He leaned forward, like they were going to share a secret.  “From one prison dimension escapee to another, how do I, like, not do that next time?  There were like, zero facial products in there.  The Face Man slash Leader would like to keep these supple scales intact!”
She searched his eyes.  “Leonardo,” she said slowly, “why do you think there will be a next time?”
“I don’t!  Krang Prime is not getting out.  Soon as my power’s back, I’m going to drop the key into the sun.  But if I’d handled the key in the first place –”  He seemed to catch himself and consciously relaxed, leaning back on one hand and twirling the other in the air.  “I’m just saying, I’d rather avoid the whole sacrifice play.  I don’t want my brothers thinking it’s their turn next if I can’t ‘Fearless Leader’ the problem away.”
“Sacrifices are sometimes inevitable,” she said slowly.  “But a good leader makes that choice wisely.  All actions necessitate a trade.  If you choose to strike, you choose not to defend.  Even doing nothing is a choice, if the cost to act is too great.  The best choices use the strengths and weaknesses of yourself and your team to minimize risk and maximize effect.”
Leonardo’s casual posture hadn’t changed, but his eyes were now steady and focused.  Even his ninpo was shining more clearly.  It made him look older.  She could see the leader he would become written in his gaze.
She also saw the mark of the prison dimension.  Her own soul bore it, too.  Intense isolation, however brief, reshaped them into creatures of solitude, until it was both natural and inevitable for them to isolate themselves still further.  After all, her she sat, high on a hill and far from her newly established village.
“Good leaders,” she continued gently, “also stay connected with their family.  Breaking bread and sharing stories keep you attuned to their needs.  What do your brothers need, Leonardo?”
He tilted his head, thinking.  Then his face lit up.
“Pizza!”
She threw back her head and laughed.
“What?  They do!” he protested.  “It’ll suck Raph out of the gym and Donnie out of the lab.  I’ll even get a bunch of toppings on the side so Mikey can assemble each slice of pizza differently.  Then we’ll turtle pile in the living room to sleep it off.”
“It sounds wonderful,” she said warmly, wiping her eyes.  “Very well.  Enjoy your meal, grandson.  I had better help my father with the children.”
Leonardo grimaced.  “There’s dead Hamato kids?  That’s messed up.”
“The Krang are merciless in every iteration. Many of them passed at the hands of that cursed suit.  But they will have full lives here, free from further tragedy.”
“Here’s hoping the same for us.  Um.”  He leaned forward suddenly and wrapped his arms around her.  She froze.  She couldn’t really feel him, but she felt his arms, their ninpos buzzing pleasantly against each other.  “Love you, Gram-Gram!”
He vanished with a bright blue pop.  She exhaled sharply, releasing her mystical hold on both the mortal world and the shared ninpo space.  It had left her more exhausted than she expected.  She sat for a moment, breathing the sweetness of the clear mountain air, the warmth of the sunlight.  It wasn’t quite the same as the mortal world.  But it was grounding nonetheless.
Well.  Time to take her own advice.
She stood and began making her way down the hill toward the paddies.  Her father was acting out a story that involved great splashing, to the delight of the dozen or so children now gathered around him.  One of them saw her coming and waved.
“Obaasan!” she cried.  “Jiisan says you were talking to the kappa!  Do we have kappa brothers?  Can they swim with us?”
“One day,” she said.  “Would you like to hear more about them?”
“Yeah!”
She smiled and went to join them.

Can I get some Uncle Tello- Baby/Toddler Casey Jones Jr bonding fluff? Their bond is just so cute and funny to me & I just keep thinking about Donatello "I don't like kids, but if anyone even breathes wrong in Casey Jr's direction I will not hesitate to take someone out" Hamato aka 'the grumpy, protective uncle who grows to love his nephew very much but would never willingly admit it outloud (especially to his twin. Too bad for him Leo most likely already knows. again. twins lol ). Cause I can imagine poor guy had a hard time coping with the fact that CJ can destroy anyone's "emotionally unavailable bad-boy" image with little effort if you give him the time. And Donnie learned the hard way 😂
I am SO sorry this took so long! This prompt is golden and I love it, here you go!
--
Donatello tolerates children. He doesn't hate them because, believe it or not, there is a difference between the two.
He understands from a logistical standpoint that children function differently from adults. They're still navigating the world, cry when a need isn't met, laugh when you tickle them or someone falls on their face, and put everything and anything within reach in their mouth to figure out what it is and if they can eat it. Most of the time, the answer is no.
Donnie understands that, so he tolerates children. And as the world caves in and he's forced to intermingle with more humans and Yokai than he'll ever see (the numbers dwindle daily, but who's counting?), his tolerance builds. Though his position in the Resistance—Keeping Everyone Alive Under Six Feet of Earth and Limited Oxygen—keeps him cooped up in his lab and limits his interaction with people in general, on the odd days he's not locked in there with a sign that reads 'Keep Out or Get Bit', he'd say he does a decent job. Take that, autism.
It's on one of these odd days Cassandra Jones kicks the door of the mess hall down with enough force to send it flying, holds up a dirty bundle with a squirming thing inside and screeches. “I have acquired a child!”
And that was that.
Well, not really; there was a lot of screeching, demanding, explaining and even more frantic demanding involved. But Donnie barely remembers most of it. He'd been busy staring at the little pink face peeking out from the ragged cloth wrapped hastily around a tiny body, wondering how and why anyone would abandon him.
Logically, he knew why. Babies smell, they're defenceless, needy and loud. All recipes for disaster—death—in the alien apocalypse. Logically, he knew it was better to cut your losses and ditch, lighten the load, ease the burden and raise your chances of survival.
Emotionally, irrationally, he wanted to find the blood mother and kill her himself.
Regardless, Cassandra had claimed him, named him—Casey Jones Jr, of course—and the Hamato's had a new family member.
Cass was a mother, and Donnie was suddenly an uncle.
Cassandra, despite herself, is a great mother. She feeds, clothes, bathes and teaches Jr with the ferocity and vigour she's always had in spades but dipped in a new warmth and love Donnie never would have associated with her. It's unexpected, but Cass wouldn't be Cass if she weren't screwing Donnie's perception of reality in her every waking moment.
April and Raph dote on him something awful with baby voices and whatever toys they find or have donated to them by other understanding and indulgent parents. Mikey cries when he takes his first steps. Draxum gifts him a Yokai necklace made from dragon teeth and scales.
(“He can eat them once his feeble infant teeth fall out,” he explains while stoically cradling the giggling infant on one clawed palm, outwardly indifferent yet impossibly gentle. “They will harden his skin and strengthen his bones to iron. No Krang would dare stand in his way.”
“We are not,” April says, “feeding dragon teeth to my nephew, Draxum.”
“As his grandfather, I should have some say in his dietary requirements. Cassandra agrees with me!”
“I will bury you, Draxum,” April growls in a tone that promises unspeakable violence. “I will bury you deep.”
“... understood.”)
Leo lets him chew on his mask tails while rocking him to sleep. He also cries like a bitch when the little pink thing looks him in the eye, drool dribbling down his chin and his gummy smile miles and miles wide and says—“Weo!”
(Donnie thinks Splinter would have loved him just as much. Shared with him the stories and legacy of their clan, sang to him the same old Japanese lullabies, enthralled him with the tales of Lou Jitsu, everything he'd wanted to do should he ever become a grandfather.)
Donnie doesn't see Casey much. Not by choice, but he's a busy freaking turtle and one-year-olds are notoriously for being loud, distracting little things that Donnie cannot afford, now more than ever.
He knows their chances of winning the war are slim at best and impossible at worst. Hope can only take you so far, crazy mystic powers or not. They've already lost so much of their world. They've already lost Dad.
So Donnie needs to focus, work and keep working so they won't lose anyone else. Anything less than the best possible outcome is not a thread of logic he is willing to follow.
Then there's a knock at his door.
Without turning from his multiple screens, mystic or otherwise, Donnie grunts, “It had better be good—”
Cassandra bursts through the door, blazes across the room, dumps something on Donnie's lap—“HOLD THIS I WILL RETURN SHORTLY SHUT UP AND THANK YOU FAREWELL!”—and slams the door behind her on her way out.
Donnie sits bamboozled in his chair in the aftermath of her whirlwind. He stares at the scorch marks her feet left on the floor, the angle his door sits at after she'd slammed it near off its hinges—
“Ba!”
—and at the one-year-old pink thing she'd left to drool on his lap.
“Oh hell no, hell no—Cassandra Bernid Jones!” he hollers to no reply.
How in the shit could she do this to him?! Why in the shit?!
Junior giggles at Donnie's misery, kicking his bare feet madly and clapping damp hands. He must've had his fingers in his mouth. Joy.
“Cassandra, come back for your child or I will feed you to the nearest Krang Hound!” Donnie shouts. Unsurprisingly, his only answer is more of Junior's incessant giggling. Pudgy fingers reach for Donnie's face and Donnie lifts him higher, further away. Junior shrieks with joy.
Growling, Donnie activates the mechanical arms in his shell to carefully lift the child off his lap as he stands, holding him at a fair distance. The child is delighted by this and kicks harder, screaming with unbridled joy and having the time of his life. Donnie stares, fighting a scowl and a flinch because dear god how can something so small be so ungodly loud?
Donnie wants to smash something. Ironically, the indirect source of his ire keeps that desire at bay, but it doesn't stop him from grinding his teeth.
He's busy running updates on their freaking security system, the only thing keeping the Krang from finding them and killing everything that breathes. Cassandra knows this, everyone knows this, he'd sent them an email about it! So why, in the ever-loving shit, would Cassandra literally drop her child off with the one person who has a history of only tolerating children? Sure it's his adopted nephew, but he can only last so much in the presence of his own blood relatives for Christ—
He doesn't realize he's hissing, a low guttural thing rivalled only by Raphael at his angriest, until Junior stops laughing.
As much as they postured and played with fashion, aesthetics and trends as teenagers, Donnie and his brothers are mutants, and by (non-freaky)human standards, they are not conventionally 'pretty'. And according to many honest human comrades, April included, they can be downright unnerving sometimes. Mostly when they're pissed off, their animal roots seeping through the cracks of the humanity instilled in them by a loving father. They growl, hiss, click and roar, bearing their teeth and snarling like beasts. It's worse for Donnie and Raph, the carnivores of the family and most prone to biting; Raph's size doesn't help, and Donnie has easily frightened some of their biggest and strongest Yokai allies with a flash of fangs or a warning hiss.
It's not something he likes about himself these days. It never bothered him until they were forced to interact more and more with humans who had no qualms pointing shit like that out, even now with literal aliens prowling their ruined world. Still, he's learned to roll with it like he does with everything else.
But Casey Junior looks at him—his peeled lips revealing sharp fangs grit tight in a snarl and a hiss he can't curb fast enough—and he starts crying.
Oh shit.
“Oh shit,” Donnie says, flapping his hands, ire forgotten as panic takes over. “Oh shit, the child is crying and I am the cause. Cassandra will kill me, then Draxum will bring me back as a zombie so Raph can kill me again.”
What the hell does he do? Make funny faces? Pretend to trip over and fall flat on his snoot? Kids love physical comedy, pain is always funny! Or maybe he—or—oh who is he kidding, he's screwed. And the baby is still crying, kicking his feet and red in the face. Donnie lowers but doesn't touch him, biting his lip as his thoughts race. Not even five minutes and he's proven he cannot handle a child. How does Raph do this? How did Dad put up with this for seventeen years—
Oh wait, there's an idea. What did Dad do?
Trick question: Donnie knows exactly what Dad did when they were younger, and eight times out of ten it worked. The problem lies with Donnie and his intense aversion to all things stinky and gross and loud, all of which Casey Jr is.
But Donnie has seen and lived with worse even before the world went to shit. He lived with Leo and Mikey as his little brothers; they piss him off like it's their personal mission, but he loves them so fiercely it's painful. He'd look death in the eye and double-dog dare it to do its worst for them.
This is his baby nephew. He's not been around nearly as long but surely, surely, Donnie can get over himself for him, too.
(Even if he is a busy turtle working his ass off at the end of the world. But family is different. Family trumps everything.)
So Donnie swallows, takes a deep breath, takes Casey from the mechanical arms before dismissing them into his shell—“I'm doing it, I'm freaking doing it—” and pulls Casey into his arms, holding him tight against his chest.
The crying doesn't magically cease as Donnie had hoped, but it dies down into kitten-like sniffles that do—something to Donnie's heart, squeezing and twisting it in a way he hasn't felt since Mikey was this small, maybe smaller. Whatever it is, it compels him to cup the back of Casey's ebony head and press his (grossgrossgross) face into the exposed crook of Donnie's neck.
“Um... there there,” he says clumsily, patting Casey's back with his other hand. “Cease your crying. It's making my knees hurt and my chest do weird, fuzzy things I don't have time for.”
Casey turns his head at Donnie's voice, frighteningly alert.
Hm.
With a claw from his battle shell, he pulls his purple hood up, shielding Casey from the neon glare of his computer screens and LED lights around the lab.
“I apologize for scaring you,” he says a decibel softer. Casey turns his head again in response, still sniffling but significantly calmer. “I am angry, yes, but I am not angry at you. It was unfair of me to show my ire that way, especially in front of you, child who is easily frightened by loud noises and yet is scarily perceptive of the moods of the people around you...”
Casey lays his head against Donnie's shoulder, blinking up at him with big watery eyes. Donnie blinks back.
This is... not awful. It's progress. Progress is good. This is good.
He tears his gaze from Jr's—as deadly a weapon as Mikey's eyes for sure—and sways from side to side the way he used to do for Leo when they were young and scared. He hums a tune under his breath, one from that Ghibli movie about little people; he can't remember the film's name but the song at the end was cute and catchy as it was corny. Even years later, he remembers the words—
“I'm 14 years old, I am pretty. I'm a teen tiny girl, a little lady. I live under the kitchen floor. Right here, not so far from you.”
The sniffles die off, Casey's pudgy fingers grasping Donnie's torn hood, tiny nose buried against cool scales. Donnie keeps going, softly rubbing Casey's back the way Dad would rub his shell during Donnie's worse days. The memory brings tears to his eyes, so he shuts them before they can fall.
“Sometimes I feel happy, sometimes I feel blue. In my dreams O I wish I could... Feel my hair blowing in the wind, see the sky and the summer rain, pick a flower from the garden for you. Beyond the lane there's another world, butterflies floating in the air. But is there someone out there for me?”
By the end, Donnie looks down to see Casey fast asleep, sucking his thumb and drooling on Donnie's shoulder. For a breathless moment that lasts an eternity, Donnie is spellbound, staring at the little pink thing—a biological miracle someone had so quickly discarded on the barren streets of a dying world, a little life that had persevered despite every odd stacked against it, Cassandra's son, Donnie's little infant nephew—he cradles in his arms. For the first time he doesn't care for the slimy drool coating his shoulder, the bacteria or anything his body and brain would outright reject.
Donnie stares at Casey Jones Jr and finally pins a name to the fuzzy feeling in his chest.
Oh.
“Oh,” he says. Jr snuffles in his sleep.
---
When Leo turns a corner to find Mikey, Raph, April and Cassandra huddled outside Donnie's lab doors, he almost turns around to avoid the oncoming storm of Donnie's short temper. The gossip in him wins out in the end as he squeezes between Raph and Cassandra to peer through the crack in the door.
What he sees has him gaping like a fish.
Donatello Hamato—the Resistance's resident genius and hermit—sits languidly at his desk surrounded by screens, one hand tapping away at holographic screens, breezing through emails. The other arm curls around a babbling Casey Jr, grubby hands clenched tight on one of Donnie's old rubber fidget toys as he gnaws on it like a dog with a bone.
“The shipment from Asia's remaining base in Hong Kong should be arriving at the port between noon and sixteen hundred hours tomorrow,” Donnie rambles, eyes scanning a long wall of encrypted mystic text.
“Ba!” Casey cries around the toy, kicking his legs.
Donnie nods with a hum, scratching his chin. “Yes, I agree. Krang activity has intensified alarmingly at the Old Port since the refugee extraction six months ago, but there's no time to plan a safer route...”
“Ba dee ba!” Casey blows a messy raspberry. Not missing a beat, a mechanical arm pops from Donnie's shell to wipe the baby's mouth with a cloth before discarding it.
“You're right, Jr. I suppose there's no helping the matter. We must brief the teams as soon as possible to discuss the matter, rally what factions we have at our disposal—”
“Eeeee!” Casey screeches before bursting into giggles.
Donnie brightens. “Of course! We could send the drones! They're stealthier and won't incur a needless massacre at the hands of psychopathic aliens. If anything, we shall be doing the massacring once I've outfitted the drones with my newest Genius Built trademark mystic weaponry! Excellent idea Casey Jones Jr, what would I do without your added brilliance.”
“Don-NEE!” Casey cries.
“Yes yes, I'll send the email and hopefully one of those dumb dumbs will actually read—wait, what did you say?” Donnie drops the screens and plucks Casey off his lap to stare him in the face with wide eyes. “Did—Did you just—did you just say—?”
“Don!” Casey giggles, wiggling in Donnie's grip. “Don don don don don! Don-NEE!”
Donnie stares and stares and stares. A stupidly happy grin splits his face in two. “Oh my god.”
“Oh my god,” Mikey breathes with a matching grin.
“Would'ja look at that,” Raph chuckles, his smile a proud, fond thing.
“Knew he had it in him,” April nods.
“Which means Leonardo owes me fifty bucks!” Cassandra quietly whoops.
Tearing his eyes away from the horrendously cute picture of his twin and nephew, Leo aims a sly grin at Cassandra. “I would if we still used actual money as a source of income or trade.” Cassandra's grin drops like a stone, and Leo fights an evil cackle that would make Draxum proud. “Cash hasn't been a thing in years, Cassandra dear. Get dunked on.”
“Bite my ass, you di—!”
The door abruptly slides open the rest of the way and they tumble to the floor in a heap. Above them, Donatello stands unimpressed, brow raised and one hand on his hip. Curled in his other arm, Jr babbles happily and reaches for Cassandra.
“Evening all,” Donnie drones as they clambered guiltily to their feet. “To what do I owe this displeasure.”
“Nothing at all!” Cassandra said, shooting Leo a poisonous glare before opening her arms to receive her son. “Thank you for looking after my child, I will take him back now and relinquish you from your—”
“A-bub-bub-bub!” Donnie turns slightly, putting Jr out of her reach. “I have decided that Jr may stay a few hours longer while I run the regular diagnostics and schedule that meeting you no doubt heard about while you were unceremoniously eavesdropping at my still broken door—thank you for that Cassandra, by the way—he is no trouble presently and makes an excellent rubber duck to bounce ideas off. Don't you agree, Jr?”
Jr snaps his head up to beam at Donnie. “Ah!” he says. Donnie's impassive face melts into a rare smile that Leo aches to see. He's not smiled like that since before Dad...
Cassandra's arms flop to her sides. April, Mikey and Raph stare, rendered speechless until April lifts a finger. “... er, Don, are you sure—?”
“Quite sure, Commander O'Neil,” the impassive mask returns, but Donnie's fooling no one. “Now if you don't mind, Jr and I are very busy bees and must get back to work, so begone. And while you're at it, please issue this new warning to the rest of the base: 'I have only had Casey Jones Jr for five hours, but if anything happens to him, I will kill everyone in this base and then myself.' Good day.”
“Goo' 'ay!” Casey chimes and Leo has a front-row seat to Donnie's delighted crooked smirk right before he slams the door shut in their faces.
There's a beat of silence.
Then Raph claps his hands. “So,” he draws out with a strained smile, “who saw that coming?”
“Me,” Leo sings.
“You bet against him!” Cassandra booms. “With non-existent money!”
Leo shrugs, motioning them to follow him down the hall. “Only on principle. I knew he had it in him. Jr is family and Donnie loves attention and family. It was bound to happen.”
“Aaand it was stupidly cute!” Mikey chimes, floating by them with his hands tucked under his chin.
Leo thinks of the tingle he'd felt in his chest hours ago when Cassandra first ditched—ahem—dropped Jr off with Donnie, of the familiar tune from an old, corny yet hopeful film from their childhood humming from the fringes of their Mind Meld, of the glee and soft, new, helpless love bleeding from Donnie's gaze, his smile, as Jr babbled his name.
Leo smiles. “Yeah. Stupidly cute.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(disclaimer: this is all fanart and fanmade and my OCs aren’t canon to TMNT or rottmnt)
Emily Mochizuki (エミリー 望月) is a teenage girl with short blonde hair, best friends with April and a dark secret past.
Emily grew up in Japan, Kyoto with no father, she was raised by her mother Kayda leader of the Dragon clan.
Emily wasn't fond of her classmates due to being Hāfu (half Japanese-half American in her situation)
Being raised in the dragon clan, she was homeschooled and taught Kuji Kuri, Taijutsu, Shurikenjutsu, Kenjutsu, Sōjutsu, Bōjutsu, and Ninjutsu.
The teachings were brutal and Fierce, almost to the point of abuse.
Emily was one of the few Kunoichi including her mother.
All Emily's life she was taught discipline, concentration, caring for others was a sign of weakness, and yōkai (mutants) were enemies.
Emily couldn't see that, however, they weren't hurting anyone and the yōkai had normal lives just like humans...so how could they be our enemies?
Emily had thought they were doing good for humanity, she thought her mother held justice and morals but it was all a façade...
Her life was a lie, her mother, her goals, they weren't doing good with humanity.
They were killing innocent people yōkai or not, her mother was evil, selfish and only cared for herself.
Emily couldn't kill anyone, nonetheless a helpless yōkai child.
At the age of thirteen, Emily abandoned her clan and fled her homeland.
With a few deals, she managed to get to New York City where her estranged aunt and uncle lived.
Her arrival was not expected, as Katsuki and Haru did not know having a niece.
Katsuki, her aunt was an identical twin to Kayda.
Her aunt was the exact opposite of her mother, she was a chubby woman who owned a tea shop, sweet, kind, and caring towards others and her children.
When Emily introduced herself and told her situation, Katsuki wasn't surprised at her sister's manipulation tactics but shocked at how Emily was treated.
Katsuki left that life behind much like Emily, she was willing to have Emily live in her household and knew she loved America and her cousins.
Who knows maybe she'll make some friends...
At the start of freshman year, Emily was really nervous about meeting people nonetheless talking to other kids she didn't know.
Her cousins often teased her but mainly her eldest cousin, Asuka.
"weird", "loser", and "noob" were little words for fun to tease her even though Emily had no idea what half of that meant.
Since Emily only knew Japanese she was taking English in school.
She ended up befriending April O'Neil when they bumped into each other on the first day of school.
Emily was really shy but managed to talk to April and asked if she could help her around the school building for directions.
Emily is a love interest and best friend to Leonardo, Emily has a HUGE crush on Leo, they don’t act on their feelings til late season 2 & movie.
{…}
However, as for Gwen Aguirre she is a Hispanic teenage girl and a online friend of Donnie and only appears in late season 1 & season 2
She lives in New York with her parents brothers and sister, not much is known about her.
Gwen is a hipster, gamer girl, comic book geek and has a long history of toxic ex boyfriends and girlfriend.
Gwen is a love interest for Donnie but doesn’t get with him at least til mid season 2
Facts: originally Emily was going to Hispanic, an alternative version of Irma, April’s friend from (1987) version and she was going to be a damsel in distress instead of a female ninja with a dark past.
I did the opposite of turtles having a crush on a human girl like April, on other media plat forms of TMNT. Instead it’s Emily who has a crush on her mutant turtle friend Leo and honestly it’s cute 🥰
Gwen is basically Ramona flowers from Scott pilgrim vs the world ;) dyes her hair every other day

The Actual Plot of TMNT The Other Haft AU
I will assume you've read most of the back story so here is where the Crossing Starts
2012 Casey Jones get kidnapped by 2018 Cassandra and is forced to join the Mystic foot.
Topside Turtles search for Casey and start finding hints of the Hidden City
Shredder accidentally finds the hidden city meets up with Lou
Cue uncle Saki and him having to lie about what he has been doing for the past few years.
Shredder meets Draxum and is like “Hey, it’s a human tradition that if you are marrying into a family you have to beat someone up to prove yourself” and Draxum with zero clues about humans and few morals is like “Sounds legit”.
Draxum fights splinter and given that Draxum has magic he wins but before Drax can kill Splinter the topside turtles get to close. So, Shredder says he approves and Draxum thinks he did a good thing but didn’t tell Lou since Shredder said not too.
Meanwhile Casey is getting lots of Ninja training form Cass and has been forcibly added to the mystic foot. Lieutenant actually really likes the kid and decides Casey needs magic powers. Now Casey has green fire that can burn him and he has zero clue on how to control it.
The topside turtles finally find their way into the hidden city and are so confused.
They all get separated due to shenanigans. Donnie gets found by 2018 Raph. Mikey gets found by the courts. Leo is surviving solo. Raphael gets adopted by Warren and Hypno.
Lou finds out about what has been happening the past few years and says, “I knew Saki couldn’t manage his emotions that well!” While Lou and Draxum are trying to figure out the next move Donatello starts learning violence and also becomes the team medic.
The courts are hella confused about this turtle since he has the same name, General personality and colors as one of their most wanted but whatever. Mikey becomes a court warrior and really wants to go home.
Leo has been looking for his brothers with no luck, but he has figured out that there is another group of ninja turtles suspiciously similar to his family.
Raphael is getting angry management training for Hypno while looking for his brothers.
April and Splinter come down to the hidden city since the boys have been gone for two days.
Anyway, the Mystic foot launch an attack on a museum to get a piece of the dark armor.
So Mikey gets sent to check it out by the courts, Leo happens to be in the area, Raphael catch’s it on TV and Donatello comes with the Rise Gang.
Everyone is really angry and confused about Casey’s betrayal but then they meet Cassandra and understand something weird is going on here.
Raphael gets angry and starts yelling at a Casey which causes their minimal control over there fire to fall apart.
The rise gang manages to get everyone out but the museum gets burned down.
They re-group at Lou’s grand hotel and have a small family reunion. Of course, there is lots of confusion about the name situation so form now on the 2012 gang are the full names while 2018 are the nicknames.
The Topsider turtles ask about Cassandra and they get the info that she has been a part of the foot as long as they have known her, and she can kick major ass.
Meanwhile Lieutenant and Brute ask Shredder to join the mystic foot and of course he says yes. Shredder is surprised to see Casey but after being briefed he finds this hilarious.
Cass, Casey and Shred Head get a similar dynamic to Cass and Draxum in Rise. Shredder dose a thing and becomes the new leader of the foot; Casey goes along with this because he has nothing better to do and Cass thinks she can better protect her brother at the top.
Shred dose kinda care about the kids, he is concerned over Casey's inabbity to control his magic. He knows how bad burns hurt and ends up helping Casey care for his new burn scares.
Cass has started to question the foot's teachings because of what Lieutenant did to Casey (Giving him a power that hurts him, and he can't control)
The Aprils become besties and Splinter aplogize for not protecting Lou. Lou doesn't blame him and welcomes his rat brother into the family, as long as he doesn't start perching traditional Hamamoto BS because Lou is doing fine.
Then Splinter recognizes Draxum and is terrified and confused. Draxum tries to make it up to him my giving Shredder a cane that can turn into an assortment of different weapons. Splinter accepts it because it is a meaningful gift and it's super cool.
Draxum tells the group about Shredder lying to him to use him to kill Splinter. Lou is pissed at Shredder and then have a falling out soon after.
For a while it's just a cycle of foot steal some dark armor while the turtle try and stop them.
Casey has been gaining more control over his powers and the dark armor is nearly complete.
The final piece is the helmet which is in Splinter's possession. They device a complex security plan, a massive vault located in the middle of Draxum's Mansion. Magically secured, you need to be a Hamato to enter, then a password, then have another Hamato enter a different password and then you can get the Helmet.
Shredder calls Kuri down to the hidden city.
A foot team consisting of Casey 'Zero-Fire Control' Jones, Cassandra 'Zero-Hobbies' Jones, Shredder 'Zero-Sanity', Kuri 'Zero-Chill' + Brute and Lieutenant.
Cassandra and Casey launch a front on assault bringing out Donnie, Leonardo, Ralpheal, Splinter, Draxum and Michelangelo.
Donatello and Mikey are looking for other Foot Cells and find Brute and Lieutenant.
Meanwhile Shredder finds Lou.
Lieutenant and Brute use a BS mugifin to capture Mikey and Donatello to threaten Lou into giving up the passwords.
"You and me aren't so different, we would both give up the world for our family but the big difference it that I am willing to use that to my advantage."
"What do you think releasing that demon will do?"
"Make a world where we can all be happy, no Hamato rules, no difference between Yokai and humans, no warring clans. We will all be a family, like it should have been."
Casey and Cassandra get captured while the rest escape.
Casey happily explains what the foot has been doing and exactly how he got into this situation.
Long Story short Shredder is planning to use the dark amour to make a new world.
How did Casey get here? Got kidnaped by Cassandra, drowned by Lieutenant in a magic river to given him a magic and trained to be a foot ninja.
So Splinter summons the ancestors who are like “you see, magic powers” and everyone is concerned since magic powers has been going horribly for Casey. Splinter insists they follow the ancestors. So this brings into question, who counts as a Hamato ?Of course Splinter and Lou + the turtles but what about Draxum? Apparently, Shredder still counted since he could enter the vault? And Casey’s magic won’t work if he was just human.
In short, the Hamato clan is The Aprils, The Turtles, Lou, Shredder, Splinter, Draxum, that girl Shredder had with him and Casey.
The people lacking magic are just Splinter and his turtle sons because 2012 April has her Kraang Powers, Lou unlocked his in the final fight angist Big Mama, Draxum always had magic, The Hidden City Turtled were born with it.
Donatello can heal people and make force fields.
Micghangelo is the flash
Leonardo can phase through objects.
Ralpheal can summon weapons.
Splinter can teleport to other magical Hamatos. and teleport people with him.
The turtles now have cool magic markings as well.
Cue boss music as the turtles start fighting Dark Armour Shredder
Everyone gets cool moments. Raphael doses some cool magic combos with all his weapons. Mikey runs circles shred head; Donnie uses his force fields as platforms for his brothers to parkour on. Leonardo phases threw shredder to get behind him.
Mess with the flaw, Saki gets thrown out and now they have a much bigger problem.
and I will finish this in another post, this is getting long. See You Soon!

reader x mikey i feel like the two would find a random turtle at the side of the street and just adopt it. he is their son now. they take him on walks, get him little outfits and place him on a skateboard and push him around.
they totally would
uh I guess I wrote some headcanons? you kinda already wrote them, I just added some extra stuff. I also didn't exactly know what you wanted me to do here :/
-One day you two were out on a walk by the waterfront
-As you walked, you spotted something on the ground that was moving
-When you and Mikey bent down to look at it, you saw it was a little turtle
-You immediately took it home and put it in a little bowl of water
-It was so adorable, but you didn't know what to do with it now
-You watched Mikey inspect it closely, thinking about how it kinda looked like him
-Mikey was quick to name him "Michelangelo Jr.", which you said made it his son
-"Uh, you mean our son."
-And of course, as people do with their children, you took care of him
-You would take him out on walks, sometimes on a little leash, or sometimes you would just carry him
-Mikey being Mikey, he would knit little sweaters for him
-He would even make different shell patterns on the sweaters
-Of course Mikey would (try to) teach him how to skateboard
-And the rest of the turtles are going to be the best uncles
-Raph is the overprotective uncle, Leo is the chill uncle, and Donnie is the one that doesn't want baby duty (even though it's one of his own kind)

Oroku Siblings AU but in the distant future aka what happened after the final battle with the Super Shredder (spoilers for the show obviously):
Splinter had managed to survive the final battle with his ex brother and enemy however at a price. Due to the fierceness and brutality of the battle Splinter had ended up being severally injured. So much so that once the battle was over the rat had been forced to somewhat retire from the field of ninjutsu. While he's still the head of the Hamato clan and still teaches his students, he's unable to go out and join any future battles due to the severity of his injuries. He now spends his days showering his grandchildren in affection and helping guide his sons and daughters in their training.
Raph ended up getting together with his girlfriend Mona Lisa, and after a few years the two got married. It wasn't long before Raph and Mona had children of their own which Splinter spoils to the highest degree. Since things have cooled down with the Foot clan and the Kraang's major projects have been derailed, Raph instead goes on night patrols with his brothers and continue to protect NYC. Raph has become a huge family man and he adores his children and his wife to bits and pieces. Raph has even opened an online store where he sells his artwork anonymously for a rather pretty penny.
Donnie ended up getting together with Casey and the two have been together ever since. Donnie now runs his own little tech business, fixing broken gadgets and knickknacks that are sent to him. Whenever he's not working on things like this he's usually out on patrol with his brothers and protects the city that never sleeps right alongside them. Donnie has also officially retired as the leader of the team, having had his fill during his teen years. No one really blames him for it. He honestly doesn't mind too much and instead revels in the decrease of stress he now gets.
Casey had ended up becoming a professional hockey player, and he's known to be a coach as well for kids who have shown an interest in the sport. Casey still does his vigilante work on the side and currently lives happily next to Donnie. While he's cooled down over the years he's still known to be a bit hot headed. He's also constantly spoiling Raph's children and has been dubbed as Uncle Casey the cool uncle.
April ended up continuing her ninja training, and once the battle was over she'd ended up quite bluntly telling Leo that she was in love with him. The two afterwards have been in a somewhat tentative relationship that's going extremely well. April also attends college and takes classes for literature, wanting to become a writer someday. She still helps the boys out in protecting the city and visits her father who's moved into the farmhouse after all the insanity he's been through.
Karai much like in the original timeline ends up taking over the Foot clan, becoming the official leader of it. With her girlfriend Shinigami as her second in command and with her favorite little brother Leo as a consultant, Karai starts to try and bring honor back to the Foot clan and will often times be either in NYC or back in Japan to do this. She still keeps in close contact with Splinter and the rest of her family and shortly after the battle had officially started addressing herself as Karai Hamato instead of Karai Oroku.
Mikey surprisingly enough becomes a comic book artist. Illustrating the many adventures of him and his family and tweaking a few major events and changing characters names, Mikey's comic books blew up in popularity. With the help of April who helps him get them published Mikey enjoys his career to the fullest. When he's not doing that he's of course helping his brothers to protect the city as well as be an assistant to Leo for his dojo. Mikey will often times be caught playing around with the children at the dojo and poking fun at his older brother with a cheeky laugh. Mikey has also begun to see Renet on a more serious romantic note.
Leo ends up becoming a teacher in the art of ninjutsu just as he's been wanting to do ever since he was a child. Leo's opened up a dojo in the underground mutant community where Mondo Gecko and Leatherhead and many other mutants reside in. Many mutants and mutant children are always coming through his doors to learn what they can and when he's not teaching his students he spends time with his girlfriend April, and his brothers and father, getting to know them better and making up for lost time. Leo has also put away the usual black clothing and mask he wears and has instead taken up the original blue mask and inherited the two black katanas that belonged to his father. He's also taken up the team leader role however he doesn't need to use it much.

So I have this head cannon about Casey Jones Jr and Donnie
Edit: Don has prosthetics that he got at different points in Caseys life. Both legs when he was 7. A arm when he was 10. He only really went on the most dangerous missions cause they involved Krang ships directly
So. Donnie’s specialty is defence. So he needs to stay back most of the time but he does most of his fight with drones. He is the only one that spends more then a few days at the base. Only leaving once in awhile when a mission involves a lot of tech.
Cue Cassandra tasking him with also caring for Jr. She doesn’t trust many and she trusts him and his family. Cause they are her family.
So he has this infant that he basically raises. She’s gone a lot. They all make jokes about how he’s such a dad. Raph and Mikey think it’s adorable. Leo sees it as blackmail material for how Donnie almost cried when Jr started walking.
Jr even started calling him Dad. He tried discouraging it. He didn’t know where Jr learned to (Leo just to mess with him). Cass wasn’t sure how she felt about it. At one point Don wasn’t his dad. But on the other. Splinter wasn’t hers. But he was. One night she’s exhausted and Jr won’t stop crying cause he was teething. So she brings him to Donnie going “when he can’t stop crying. Your his dad. Make him stop”.
Shelldon 2.0 is best big brother and is AI that helps run the place.
He makes soothers while he’s almost crying. By now everyone has accepted he’s a dad. (Boogie woogie woogie). His Bros and April are uncles and auntys and Splinter is a Grandpa.
As Jr grows Don starts teaching his Son™️ about tech. Jr is like a natural. More “no these aren’t tears Leon. My eyes are leaking blinker fluid”
Raph dies when Jr was 4. He doesn’t really remember him. Anymore but he spent weeks after asking for him cause he didnt understand death yet. He inherited one of Raphs bear. And when it clicked Don spent hours holding him while quietly sobbing together.
He understood death when his mom died 2 years later. He rarely left Dons side. Terrified that if he did. He would loose him to.
Don made him his weapon to look like his moms with a mic of his own. Told Jr when he’s older he can show him how to fully trick it out. He never got the chance.
When Jr was 13 the krang found their base. Emergency protocols were set in place. A mass exact took place. Many didn’t make it out. One of their own leaked their plans to the krang in hopes of being allowed to survive. (They killed him anyway)
Jr was one of the ones who couldn’t make it out.
Donnie didn’t even think of leaving until Jr did. He found Jr facing some Krang. He took Jr and ran. All exits blocked. He went back to the lab and hid him. There was only room for Jr. Donnie went full out on the Krang. The parental mom lifts car mode activated.
The krang fought hard. But he fought harder. But there was so many of them. He got several down, he’s so hurt but he can’t stop. Leo and gang arrive. They are able to take down the last of them/scare them off.
“Great work Donnie! Donnie? DONNIE!” From Leo. He was hurt so bad he could barely move. His brothers and April run to him. He’s trying to reach where he hid Jr when he bursts out and books it to Don.
He collapses onto Don begging him “Please be okay Dad! Dad please! I can’t loose you”
Cue movie moment where Don smiles a genuine smile while he caresses Jrs face. Hand and smile Drop. Gravity kicks in and his head Lulls in the opposite direction.
He clings to Leo and the others from then on. They continue his training and he continues his Dads work of doing the tech Defence. Shelldon helps.
Leo eventually becomes his main teacher and he shifts from calling him Uncle to Sensei. He takes it upon himself to raise his twins Son. He and Mikey do everything to keep him safe. EVERYTHING.
Cue being in the past. It’s not till after the krang are defeated they start asking more questions. And he meets his young Mom. They learn that Don was his dad. He and Cass look at each other and he just goes “not the worst person to co parent with”
Splinter makes a joke how he’s so calm when raised by his two chaotic children (yes he counted Cass. To him April and Cass are his daughters)
Casey Jones Jr is happy to see them safe and okay. But part of him will miss his family. And find it weird how his family is becoming a extension of his family.
Either way. Mission accomplished for the future Mad Dogs. Casey is safe and happy(ish)

In ageswap, Yoshi's relationships with his uncles are all slightly different.
Mikey was 18 when the fire happened. He was really young when he and his brothers took on raising Yoshi, and that impacts their relationship a lot. It's a werid mix between Mikey being a teen dad and Yoshi's cool uncle. In a lot of ways, these two grew up together. If Yoshi is having an emotional issue, there's a 50/50 chance he'll go to either Raph or Mikey. Mikey introduced Yoshi to comics and was one of the people who taught Yoshi how to cook. Mikey also sets up a garden in the Lair, and sometimes when he's in there Yoshi will sit off to the side. He and April teach Yoshi how to sharpen his intuition, and how to deal with visions and stuff like that, which means he's the first turtle to find out about Yoshi's repeated nightmare about a monster made of metal.
Donnie and Yoshi don't have much in common, but they do love each other. Yoshi has no talent for science, and his relationship with maths is adversial at best, so there's not much overlap in their interests. This doesn't meant they don't get along though - when Yoshi was little, Donnie was the one who'd stay in the Lair whilst his brothers went on patrol, so Yoshi spent a bit more time around Donnie when he was little. He's also the uncle who gives Yoshi the best advice regarding his crush on Shen.
Raph and Yoshi get along really well. They've both got bad tempers, but Raph has a lot more experience dealing with his, and gives Yoshi pretty solid advice on how to manage it. Out of all the Turtles, Raph was the one who had the best idea about what he was doing when it came to raising their nephew, which in some respects makes him feel like a more stable role model. Is Yoshi is having a rough day, Raph will invite him to spar, which usually ends with them talking about whatever's bothering Yoshi. Raph also got Yoshi into art, and by extension the Renassaince. The Turtles' mother had loved art too, and something about being able to share that love with the grandson she never got to met makes Raph's heart feel a little less heavy.
Leo and Yoshi's relationship is complicated. They love each other, and Leo would do whatever it took to keep Yoshi safe, but there's a distance there. Leo feels intense guilt over Karai's death, and that sometimes gets in the way of his relationship with Yoshi. He blames himself for Karai not being around, for not being able to watch her son grow up, and he feels he doesn't deserve the way Yoshi looks at him, like he's one of the most amazing people in the universe. (Yoshi once said he wanted to be like Leo when he grew up, and Leo blue screened. Leo thinks Yoshi should aim higher.) His nephew, meanwhile, is desperate to make him proud and prove he's worthy of being Leo's heir. Ageswap Yoshi has big shoes to fill when it comes to being Leo's successor, and it's understandably a lot for a kid to deal with. Similar to 12 Leo and Splinter, Yoshi goes to as!Leo for advice on how to be a leader and what decisions he should make.

MM Splinter - Family Meme; all that apply uwu
| Talking about family
Tumblr media
"Going from a rat on the streets thst no one wanted around? To a mutated ray in the sewers no one also wanted around. Only find my whole world suddenly centered around four baby turtles? Really made a big change in my life. Heh of course the mutating thing mostly but even if I hadn't mutated I had still come across my boys. Suddenly it was my job to look after and protect them and then teach them how to protect themselves. Going from looking for myself to them I guess made me hover a bit. Hold them to close. The world already was scary and bad and it got worse when changed. I want a better world for them so they don't have to hide anymore and can live freely...even if that means letting go."
Send 🤛 for my muse to talk about (one of) their cousin(s)/niece(s)/nephew(s)
"Our little family has expanded a lot these days now that the mutanimals are part of out family. Though I am glad they all found their own homes as well."
I will say! I do not care for the whole Splinter and scumbug thing, like least the series committed to that so I didnt have to suffer for nothing in the movie buuuut im uh yeah just not having that be a thing XDD
ANYWAY
As in the movie showed the mutants with Superfly had move in with the turtles and splinter/ joined them to become like an extended family. After it seems most of them have moved on to their own home or doing their own thing. Though their clearly still some mutant that each member seems at least close to like Raph with Beepbop and rocksteady, Donnie with Wingnut. Mikey with mondo, and well I don’t feel Leo really has one since he bonded with April the most XD anyway Splinter I wouldn’t say dislikes any of them he offered his home after all. But he clearly isn’t all to close with them. Enough to sort of take over being in charge of them from Superfly though. Splinter is very clearly the head of the family after all. I’d say the only mutant he likely friend with is scumbug since he was best friends with a cockroach before and is one of the only mutant who can speak with each other.
That would leave the rest? For sure much more like extended family and Splinters more like thier uncle?? Grandpa maybe even XD So its more like a generation sort of split between him and the others. He still sees them as family and welcomes them to thier place if their own home isn’t suited to the weather like a rain storm after all. Splinters pretty good abut feeling kinship with others seeing how he went from feeling no one wanted him around not even his own kind? Makes sense why he’s so happy to have such a big family. Why he was so protective of his sons when it was just the five of them as well. I feel part of him has felt some relief knowing his sons wont be alone if anything ever happens to him now and why he tends to push for his sons to be good role models despite many of them being older than his sons. He’s pretty big on sticking together and solving conflicts and such truly take on the role of head of a family with that in mind after all.
Send 👶 for my muse to talk about (one of) their child(ren)
“I love my boys, like I said they became my whole world and I would give them the world if I could. I want to protect them from so much but keeping them away from things isn't the same. Letting them go to have chances I never did? Is though even if I worry and fear everyday. Though some humans have least gotten on to my good side...some begrudgingly."
Obviously Splinter is very much a dad, he loves his four turtle sons more than anything in the world. Because the universal law has stated no matter what splinter will find the turtles and adopt them as his sons ;3;. Splinter a character I truly love a lot i mean clearly since I write him lol. I can be back and forth when it comes to 12 Splinter feeling he wasn't always the best dad but clearly loves his sons anyway. 03 splinter is like my biased favorite he just such a dad and teacher.
I feel MM Splinter falls more into the Dad role/ head of family over teacher. Just on what his main drive seems to be. He seems to have the usual dynamics with his sons.
Leo is the eldest and the one Splinter tends to place most responsibility on too, because he is the oldest. Splinter clearly sees Leo as the leader of his brothers. And tends to trust a lot of family issues to him like not even speak up when Leo tries to help with Raph raging out during the storm. Or tasking Leo jobs that deal with handling family issues.
Raph of course still struggles with his anger issues but Splinter seems very hands on in trying to help Raph deal with it. Raph seems more willing to try Splinters ideas out as well. Even having his own meditation pillow he pulls out when told. He doesn't seem to like it but he listens and tries which is a pretty big step up from past iterations imo.
Donnie still seems to be the son Splinter doesn't full always understand due to his interest and smarts. Personlly I feel he still tries he would be the parent that calls pokemon pokeyman XD he knows Donnie watches 'them animes' he dosen't get them but I feel like it can easily be blamed that Splinter found an old anime movie maybe a ghibli one? and likely what stated Donnie on this dark path XD it's kind of funny cause he also is clearly the parent that thinks his son can fix all tech issues. if he used a computer you know Donnie would be standing behind him the whole time explaining opening a window isn't a real window XD It's funny that he will both scold Donnie about driving but also see him as being dramtic about things. You can see he really tries but hes not above some snide hits even on the weeb son
Mikey ofc his youngest as of now i cant say they have done anything for Mikey having raw talent least being stated by Splinter atm. In truth Splinter seems to feel Mikeys the best about keeping the peace between his brothers and extend family even and seems to be the one picked as errand boy most on top of it. But I say its cause Mikey just good with people.
April is the firsty good human on Splinter list since she tried to help save his sons he seems pretty close to her later in the series as well. He treats her pretty much on par with his own sons even. Not above acting the dad way he does to his boys. But also seems to take what she has to say seriously and not brushing it off. He can even have serious talks he never dose with his own sons.
Yvoone after everything with Donnie and his bullies, yes im calling them that uwu, Splinter just so excited that this girl seems to really actually like donnie and isn't using him. She even was fine following along his conditions for Splinter allowing Donnie having an extended stay at her place. He always goes all out for her visit to the lair as well pulls out all the chris' uwu. Splinter can't help but go a bit extra there because he is just so grateful to Von. Splinter wasn't all to happy when he heard about the kids taking advantage of one of his sons. Didn't really help Splinter's stance when it comes to his mistrust of humans still. So in truth it was partly so he could see if Von was good like April. And he was happy to see she was. As mean as it may sound he hoped Donnie would make more friends as well, not for any bad reason he just feels Donnie is the one who can benefit most from connecting with others. He sees the friendship Donnie has with wingnut. Even if he don't understand what they are saying XD and he just wants Donnie to have more of that so he isn't so alone in what he likes.
Casey of course has been in a up hill battle when it comes to being on Splinters good side but well to be fair all splinter knew of the guy from first mention was the fact he beat up his son Raph. So that protective side came out full swing he just didn't understand how Raph could like someone who hurt him like that? Then again when he had a chance to really reflect on the fact. HE could see how someone Raph could fight with and not be like someone that is a threat or even one of his brothers is in fact someone Raph could befriend and get close too. First time he saw Casey though Splinter was pretty sure they were in a gang or something though XD He over heard Raph mention the purle dragons and some guy nambed Hun even so for like a month Splinter thought Casey was this Hun and in the purple dragons and would get Raph to join his gang! Seeing that Casey fainted when they first met? He felt confident he could handle them XD Splinter dose start to change how he feel and thinks about casey later on. When Raph had to explain once why he was home late was to be there for Casey hearing they had lost thier Dad. Splinter isn't sure what would happen to his own Sons if they lost him at such a young age so his heart felt for the poor kid. So when he found Casey looking through his vinyl collection. Splinter decided to use it as a chance to really speak to this kid he judge to harshly, in truth being no different from humans towards mutants. He starting to see what Casey really is. A lost kid and well how can Splinter turn away from a lost child?

Shell Shocked AU head-canons/Ideas
• Danny was the smallest when he and his brothers were found. He couldn’t really maintain a proper body temp so Mona and Raph always kept him close and carried him a lot.
• Little Mikey often times tended to wander around the lair alone. Scared the shit out of Uncle Donnie when he found him in his lab one night.
• Leon is a VERY hyper active kid. Boy is bouncing off of walls type and yelling or talking loud when overly excited. Uncle Mikey suggested that he might have ADHD like himself and often times helps mediate and teach Leon to better maintain his excited outbursts. They still happen though and Raph and Mona just love seeing the kid jump around in excitement.
• Ralphie, despite his size, is the most closed off when it comes to talking personal emotions. He doesn’t look it, especially around family since he’s such a helpful kid and always thinking of others, but he keeps a lot of personal stuff to himself.
• All the boys called Chompy ‘chomp-chomp’ while growing up and they haven’t outgrown calling him that, even at 16 years!
• Chompy is the only pet/animal that Ralphie can seem to bond with. Chompy has been there since Ralphie could sit on his back, now the teen is big enough and strong enough to pick up the alien turtle on his own like a big happy dog.
• Little Mikey often times spends meditation sessions with Sensei, Uncle Leo. It all started one afternoon in the lair when the little man walked in on one of Leo’s sessions. Leo hadn’t noticed at the time, so imagine his shock when hours later he comes out of it to a sleeping box turtle next to him. Surrounded by crayons and messy drawings.
• Danny actually developed an early code for S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. When he was tinkering with his Uncle Donnie as the older turtle was fixing up MetalHead. He wanted a robot companion of his own so that ‘hatched’ into him writing early code!
• Despite how sweet Little Mikey is he takes after his dad Raph in attitude. He’s quick to temper sometimes if you press the wrong buttons. Absolute menace.
• Ralphie on the other hand doesn’t like his angry side. He often times keeps it bottled up, which from Raph’s perspective can only make things worse. Little Mikey has the outlet of art and meditation to help combat his sharp tongue. Ralphie hasn’t really developed any safe ourself yet.
• Leon was the one to actually get he and his brothers involved in watching Lou Jitsu films. They turn into comfort films once the teens get over. The whole lair with filled with the toddlers constantly using ‘Hot Soup!!’ As a comeback for everything.
• Leon, when not around his siblings, can be found often times hanging out with Uncle Mikey. He loves spending time around the older turtle when mom and dad are busy. He especially love when his uncle is playing video games.
• Ralphie holds his tail like Mona does. A snapping turtle really shouldn’t have their own tail posed in an upwards curl or curled in general, but once Mona noticed the use of his tail she offered to help her son train is to be a personal weapon.
• Danny was the one to first ‘meet’ a girl by the name of April. He was still young when he found the penpal letter that washed into the sewers one night and he decided to be the one to reply back! He thought it was his Auntie Aprils letter so he gave it to her when she came to visit the next day. O’Neil herself decided to send the letter back to its original sender unaware that Danny had written a reply!
• Little April wasn’t aware that the letter hadn’t been sent right so she when she read the reply letter she wrote back, queue a fun back and forth of Danny learning about the topside for a few years.
• Danny and Leon are both musical freaks. Queue any ABBA song and the two immediately start dancing, Michael as well.
• the boys formally meet April on Halloween, under the guise that they’re all wearing odd turtle costumes. April herself has been keeping tabs on odd mutant/Yokai sightings so she’s actually pretty stoked when the truth gets revealed later on!

Do you have any nice headcanons or scenarios of kid Donnie bonding with his uncles? Maybe going on some mission with them? Or maybe building/showing them some sort of device?
Basically how does he get along with his Pops and Uncles?
A little bit!
Like at first, Dee's (i'm just going to call Adopted Donnie 'Dee' now. It might be short for Donato. Not sure. But Dee is cute.) pretty much just stuck to Raphie. He's never met other people outside his family before Hob and Raphie, so the 'are they nice' ratio is about half and half. But he eventually warms up to the others as well.
Mikey was the first of the three he trusted (it helped that when he found out that Raphie's been chirping to Dee, he started as well. Chirps=safe.) I think Mikey would have tried to get him to play case games or something like that but Dee wouldn't want to. So eventually he shows him video games and, that he loves. So video games end up being their thing and Mikey loves introducing him to his favorites or trying new ones with him. (Mikey showed the little dude Pokemon once and had to get himself a new DS b/c he the tot all but took over his old one.)
Leo isn't quite sure how it interact with Dee at first (he does try awkwardly chirping at him after seeing Mikey's success with it. it earns him Dee not being scared of him but neither of them quite know what to do.) Eventually he shows him some of the sci-fi cartoons he used to like (kids like cartoons, right?) and that seems to be enough of a hit that they now spend time together. Eventually, he would become Dee's sensei and teach him ninjutsu, but early on, their bond was built on old Sci-fi movies.
Don he a bit scared of for a while (even Don tries using the Chirp cheating method.) But that's b/c he was the main person treating his wounds, which hurt (particularly since i imagine they got a bit infected from the 2+hours of being submersed in sewer water.) So sick turtle + someone messing with his already hurting wounds every day does not equal a good time. But eventually curiosity won out b/c Don would work on so many cool looking things and he needed to know what they were. In later years, they end up working together in the lab a lot, sometimes on the same project, sometimes just on their own things but enjoying sharing the space regardless.
Thank you!
