Helle laughed out loud watching the scene. Which reminded Ga'al that he's not alone with Fe'ek, so he let his friend live another day.

She was curious as to what does Ga'al still do to make him fall asleep but it seemed she'll have to wait to learn that.

"So yes... We all had our ways to stay calm... You'll be fine." Ga'al tried to save whatever left of his dignity after the previous scene.

"Sweet!" she smiled than she heard the metallic noice that ment it is soon time to sleep on this side of the ship. "Oh, that's the first nightcall, think we should eat dinner, right?"

"Oh, you are so right... Humans are not exclusively herbivorus, right?" Fe'ek asked. When Helle shook her head he nodded. "Perfect. That means I don't have to cook separatly!"

He started to pack out his cooking tools. He knew he could just use one of the fast food packages but no matter how long he stayed on the ship he couldn't get used to them. They tased like plastic to him. Ga'al was perfectly fine with them, but still preferred "real" food so he also agreed to get a few cooking tools and make a kitchen in their quarters. It took months till they got the green light to build it, but they both agreed, it worth the effort.

While Fe'ek made dinner, Ga'al and Helle started to have a conversation. They talked about their homes. Helle was amazed that on Ga'al home world, the cities were builed on trees. He talked about how Felleg, the biggest city there was taking up half of the planted and still it could not be seen from above.

And Helle told stories about Gaia's culture and how it is still devided into small local regions and all of them have different laws and a lot of the time, even different languages. Fe'ek was listening to them from the kitchen.

"So what do your species eat? Do you also like fish?"

"Yes I personally like it, but some of us hates the taste or the texture. Humans can eat almost everything. I even like coffee in the morning."

Ga'al stopped mid movement. "What?"

"Coffee!" Helle repeated.

"Oh I thought you said coffein... The poison."

"Coffee has coffein in it." Fe'ek peeked out from the kitchen. "I've been working with poisons before and learned that humans are somewhat immune to them. 400 milligrams of coffein daily is completly manageable for them."

"And we can drink more from time to time, but if we go above that every day it can cause some heart problems." Helle added.

"You mean to tell me, that the worst poison that is still legal is barely causing an inconvenience to you?" Ga'al was buffeled.

"That's the main reason it's still legal. Some scientists even suggest that it is beneficial to drink it every day, though it's still debated." Helle shrugged.

"And wait, I know something even better!" said Fe'ek as he came out from the kitchen. "Humans can digest alcohol."

Ga'al stared at Helle. "Is that true?"

The girl just nodded. "Though I hate the taste of it."

Up untill this point Ga'al has looked at Helle as someone who has a very similar physiology to him and is otherwise harmless. Now he was was looking at her with a bit more respect. Helle tilted her head to the side.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

He nodded.

"Dinner is ready by the way!" Fe'ek's hand landed on Ga'al's shoulder. "Could you two set the table, please?"

Ga'al nodded again.

He was silent troughout the dinner while Helle and Fe'ek exchanges a few gossips from the ship. Helle seemed to know a lot about what happened lately in sector no. 12 and 13 and Fe'ek knew all the local gossips in 25 and 26 where they worked.

After eating they cleaned up the table and the kitchen. Everything was done when they heard the nightcall again. It was time to sleep. The lights of sector no. 24 went out with the lights in theor room.

"Oh well... I think we should sleep..." Fe'ek yawned.

Helle started looking for her nightlight. She turned it up as soon as she found it.

Ga'al offered his bed to her, but she declined the offer, saying she's fine with sleeping on the couch and she doesn't want to be any more of an inconvenience.

After that everyone went to sleep. Helle fell asleep almost immidietly. Fe'ek noted that she probably had a long day. Ga'al agreed.

Before falling asleep Fe'ek taught Ga'al some things about humans he knew. He reassured him that even though humans are fine with alcohol and coffein they are not immune to botulinum for example. Ga'al fell asleep after a while so he could go to sleep too finally.

All in all I really enjoyed this season, I binged it in like, three days and I loved ALL the Stiles centric moments with the Nogitsune, although I feel there could've been something MORE, like going deeper into WHY Stiles of all people and letting us see more of the internal turmoil. But that's just me loving to inflict some sweet sweet desperation and torture on my faves, although I did tear up a bit when they thought he had the same illness as his mother like OOF low blow.

Anyway insane how anything Stiles related always circles back to Peter somehow, really makes you think 🤔

What are peach’s thoughts on the relationship? Bowser didn’t exactly have them make a graceful exit from the mushroom kingdom on day 27 for her to be feeling super great about the situation ship and all.

Day 27 was very hard for Peach. Having a big fight and then dealing with her home ruined was bad enough, and then Bowser stomps right on her in her kidnapping PTSD. If Luigi hadn't been one of the most capable people she knows, then she would have physically fought Bowser over the matter (and not done great, she was running on fumes at that point).

However, Luigi is capable and they exchange a lot of letters over the next few days that manage to calm her worry. She sends power-ups and Luigi confirms his (confused) receipt of them and writes things that she was sure that Bowser wouldn't have allowed a prisoner to write, but it's clear that Bowser knows what's in the letters and hasn't tried to change anything. She receives anecdotes about Junior and Bowser.

Of course, at that point she hasn't picked up on Bowser's feelings for Luigi or Luigi's denial about his feelings for Bowser. She wasn't always kidnapped for "romantic" reasons after all.

So when Mario gets back on Day 30 and talks it through with her, Peach is mostly confused. The idea of anyone liking Bowser on a romantic level is something she struggles with. She spent eleven years being kidnapped and that took her from a more accepting 'not my cup of tea but I understand that people's tastes are different' to an extremely firm no on the thought of Bowser with anyone. She doesn't get the appeal and has had to spend so long stamping down any friendly overtures that might be taken the wrong way that it's going to take a lot for her to come to terms with Luigi's choice.

Peach is a good person, so she accepts Luigi's right to make his own choices, but she cannot understand his choice on a fundamental level. She's happy to be allies with Bowser and extremely pleased for his attention to be away from her. She's going to spend the first few months worried that it's going to fall apart, but as time goes on and it becomes clear that Bowser is trying to be nice for Luigi, she gains a bit of faith and, ultimately, they've dealt with Bowser being "heartbroken" before.

Luigi isn't going to really notice how worried Peach is over the whole thing, she's much more likely to keep quiet about her concerns. Funnily enough, Bowser's a bit better at reading her when he puts his mind to it (which he doesn't do super often). Of course, staying quiet in the face of Luigi's apparent happiness will mean that it takes Peach longer to come to terms with it (because she isn't raising her concerns with Luigi and therefore giving him a chance to explain himself and put them to rest), but she'll get there eventually. As long as everyone seems happy, she'll try to put on a happy face too.

(When Luigi left for the first time in Day 42, Mario visited Peach's castle to have company and be in a better situation for having power-ups when it inevitably went badly. However, Mario and Peach ended up winding each other's paranoia up terribly. Eventually they decided it was best for Mario to stay away from the castle for the first day any time Luigi was away so they could face the situation with more level heads).

I think Claire is just as anxious as Chuck, but she's a lot better at managing it. So she teaches him a bunch of different coping techniques, like different breathing exercises and stuff like that.

They have self-care dates! They'll take a whole day together just to do stuff like skin-care, manicures, washing and styling each other's hair, etc.

Speaking of, his hair is basically her favorite thing in the whole world and if they're just sitting around not doing anything she will inevitably ask if she can brush it, style it, run her fingers through it, or otherwise touch it in some way. And of course he always says yes. :3

They also have a lot of movie dates. They have very different taste in movies (Chuck likes fantasy and sci-fi adventure, and Claire likes romcoms and musicals). When they started doing these dates they said they were gonna take turns picking the movie, buuut... he usually just lets her pick. He just likes seeing her happy, okay!?

There is one type of movie they do both like, though. Disney princess movies! They have fantasy settings for Chuck, and romance and musical numbers for Claire. Everyone's happy!

Mike is their biggest supporter! He literally threw a party when he found out they finally got together. Julie ships them too, but she's a lot more low-key about it. Mike is literally just the moon from that one asdfmovie bit: "Hey! You two should kiss!"

They're both way too easy to fluster. Claire can dish it out just fine, but she can't take it at all. She'll be flirting with him like a pro, making him a blushing, stammering mess, but all he needs to do is stutter out something about how she did her makeup especially nice that day and boom, she's in the exact same boat.

Because he's so accident-prone, she starts carrying a box of bandaids with her at all times, so she can patch up any cuts and scrapes he gets.

He repays the gesture by carrying extra hair-ties for her, in case hers snaps.

Her parents love him soooo much, and start treating him like a part of the family pretty much immediately. I've always headcanoned Claire's parents as the slightly embarrassing, super affectionate types, just to paint a better picture. :3

She's a really good baker and she's always making him different sweets to try.

So. Many. Bad. Puns. Listen to me. It's 100% canon that Chuck likes making bad puns, and that Claire thinks bad puns are funny. You cannot tell me that these two are not constantly making bad puns and laughing at them like they're the funniest thing in the world and making everyone around them cringe. You cannot.

They just like rambling to each other about their interests and the new skills they've picked up recently in their respective fields. Chuck doesn't know a damn thing about sewing or fashion, and Claire doesn't know a damn thing about programming or hacking, so there will always be a point in the conversation where they lose track of what the other is saying. But they always keep listening because they love hearing each other talk about the stuff they're passionate about. <3

Because it's so intrinsic to who they are that they just don't talk about this ritual engrained in the last 2.5 years of their lives, I think...and sure, sometimes we see Ted reference the biscuits when he walks in with some...but no one notices. Ted's mom doesn't notice. Trent doesn't notice. Higgins notices, but he was involved in the early s1 biscuit taste-testing, and he's all-seeing in a lot of ways so it's different. Lord knows Sassy isn't getting a biscuit even if she's gotten to enjoy Ted's actual dick a few times. Keeley is close enough to notice, but she's suspiciously quiet about it. Beard has to come over and fix Ted's oven all the time, but we never see him comment.

So how perfect is it that in everything Rebecca has to process about Ted leaving, she almost becomes another person who has taken for granted that Ted performs this absolutely deranged gesture of love in baking her biscuits every single week and delivering them to her in a pink box every day...because that's really telling. She puts a lot of work into asking him to stay. She's feeling all kinds of desperate things. She isn't at all like the people who don't see what he's been doing for her; her reasons for never mentioning the biscuits again are nothing like the biscuit-invisibility everyone else experiences. She just can't or won't say anything because the biscuits are untouchable

And in the season 4 that will exist in my head but will almost certainly never be a reality, someday, when they see each other again, he makes her some biscuits and she's so angry she can't eat them

Miguel learning how to make homemade chocolates from his grandmother so he can give them to his gf for Valentine Day!

Valentine's Chocolates

He took his Yaya to get the ingredients they needed, whatever they didn't have at home, and they wore the biggest smiles. Miguel was happy to make something for his girlfriend and his Yaya was happy to teach him. So they took to the store and Miguel grabbed everything he was told to, and while they were there he just so happened to find the perfect heart shaped molds they could use.

His Yaya takes him through the whole process and helps him along the way. The first batch is definitely a practice run for him since he's never made them before. He wants to make them just right for Reader and knows whether she'll like them sweeter or richer. So he's taste testing throughout the entire process.

The second batch is so much better for his girlfriend. He's satisfied with the heart shapes chocolates that he's tried to decorate with some pink and red swirled into some and making the heart on top of others. He's covered in chocolate and ingredients, whether it's smeared on his face or all over the front of his shirt. His mom comes home and sees him, and is just kind of like "what did you do?" And when he explain it to her, she awes and is so proud.

When it's time to gift them to his girlfriend, he puts them in a container and writes a little love note to go on top. It's nothing too extravagant, but it's the thought that counts. Plus, when he's writing little love letters, he's quite the romantic. He also has a little card he found that reminds him of Reader with a cheesy but cute phrase or gimmick about it and a small bouquet of flowers he hand picked. (As romantic as red roses on Valentine's Day is, i think hand picked flowers are where it's at! [Valentine's rises especially leave a large carbon footprint because they're manufactured and shipped in a short period of time leading up to the holiday.])

She here comes Miguel with a backpack and a small boutique of flowers, a bog smile on his face. He hugs and kisses Reader as soon as he sees her, always happy to see her but on Valentine's he's ecstatic! He's put so much thought and heart into the little surprise he has made. They sit down for a little Valentine's picnic and hlthey enjoy a little gift exchange, where he gives her the chocolates. He's anticipating her reaction, smiling as she opens them but silently hoping she likes them. He's a little nervous about it.

However, once she tries one and smiles, covering her mouth to hide her mouthful of chocolate, he knows he's done a good job. He can't help but laugh as how cute she is, watching her eat another chocolate almost immediately. When she hugs him and tells him they're the best chocolates she's ever had, his face warms up and he holds her with a big smile.

"I'm glad you like them, hermosa, because I made them especially for you. Happy Valentine's Day."

Also, kisses that taste like chocolate or him licking a little bit of chocolate off of the corner of her mouth 👀

🐶 Vlad King just screams neat freak to me. The moment the bed is vacant, he's already grabbing the sheets and tightening them around the mattress. Meanwhile Hound Dog stands there wondering how someone is so eager to fix a bed.

💄 I see both waking up at the same time, both being teachers and Pro Heroes, they're used to it. Ms. Joke wouldn't need an alarm clock though. It's like she wakes up, already has a smile in her face and Midnight is just groggy and wants to sleep in.

🐶 Again, I see both, But Hound Dog would probably be the one to wake up just a few minutes earlier than Vlad King. He may not make the bed, but he will cook a mean breakfast.

💄Ms. Joke, definitely Ms. Joke. And it will be songs no one is sure where she even heard it. It will be a song that start off all soft and then by the end of it, it's chaos.

🐶 Vlad King would probably be the one. No one expects him to listen to funky pop music. Hound Dog would probably like soothing instrumental music though.

Who is more protective?

💄I feel like Ms. Joke would be the more protective one. She doesn't like how some people treats Midnight sometimes and she's all for throwing hands if she must.

🐶 I can see Hound Dog being protectively physically while Vlad King, who understands him a lot better than others, is protective of Hound Dog's mental and emotional state.

Who sings in the shower?

💄Neither sing in the shower when they aren't together, but if they shower together there will be a duet of cheesy romance songs until the water turns cold.

🐶 Vlad King does. I bet he has a damn good singing voice, too. Hound Dog comes off as the more quiet of the two, just only getting loud when his emotions get the better of him. Vlad, just looks like he can sing his soul out and Hound Dog loves it.

Who cries during movies?

💄I can see Midnight actually being the one to cry at movies. Especially at romance films. Ms. Joke learned over time to have tissues on hand.

🐶 Hound Dog would be the crier, I just know it. This man will cry at movies... as well as yellow at movies. Vlad King learned that horror movies are not the best choice of films for Hound Dog.

💄Midnight, more so because she wants to spoil Ms. Joke with perfumes and dresses. Sometimes, she'll send flowers to Ms. Joke's school to let her know she's thinking of her.

🐶 Vlad King would be the shopper and Hound Dog put him on a limit because "What the hell, Sekijiro, you have enough low V-neck shirts"!

💄Hmmm... Midnight, she's the rough kisser. Not only is she a rough kisser, she just loves to shower Ms. Joke with kisses wherever she wants.

💄Midnight mostly is. Miss Badass in charge, but trust she doesn't mind Ms. Joke taking the lead.

And with Hound Dog and Vlad King, it's canon they have a bond so there's already that solid ground. I admit it's not the first Hound Dog ship I had, but I do like it!! Honestly, I would like for their relationship be explored more in canon.

after bertolt though, things change. it feels like the pain is too much to bear. it bites down on him and makes him feel like he's pulling apart at the seams. bertolt had protected him, ensured that he wouldn't die in the explosion, and what had he repaid him with? absolutely nothing. zeke and pieck had allowed him death, and reiner is still here, is still getting off that ship in marley, and it's not even the welcome home that he's so desperate for. no, the laughter doesn't come for months after his meetings with the brass. there's nothing holding him together, not really. there's that nagging sense in his chest that he shouldn't have survived. that it was only jean who made sure that he had. maybe he'd be better off if hange had slit his throat that day.

even being around gabi doesn't do much. she looks at him like he's some sort of hero to be worshiped, and it's not like on the island. no, she looks at him like that because she knows that he is inheritance, that the titan will go to her. and then she'll see all her dreams of him being a hero shattered and he knows it. he smiles at her and the other candidates, gives some small laughs in meetings, but it's not the same. no, it's not the full on laughter until his eyes water that he once had when surrounded by a fire and a mouse ran over ymir's shoe, sending krista screeching and leaping up into the trees. it's not the same laughter that is internal as he watches annie toy with eren, watches the way the boy looks like he's crawling out of his skin.

no, it's the kind of laughter that is for others. it hollows him out further inside, makes the darkened circles under his eyes grow. it's not paradise here in marley, and he misses the island every day. he misses the friends. he misses feeling alive and for a purpose. there's a twist in his stomach and an ache in his chest, and some days he doesn't even want to get out of his childhood bed that's much too small for him. he longs for the bunks of the barracks and the feeling of belonging.

actual laughter doesn't come until long after the rumbling, when the weight of the world is no longer on his shoulders. when he looks at gabi and falco growing, when he looks at jean and levi and sees a future there. when he looks at marley being rebuilt and realizes that it can be something better, something new, something beautiful that's not built on the hell that it once was. even then though, it takes him by surprise when he finds laughter, when it rolls through his chest easily until he's crying, until he's curled in a ball with his arms around his waist and feeling joy.

Some character notes and episode notes for HZ047, writing them down for future reference.

The ep starts with Liko, Roy and Dot going to Cercle Town. Dot is tired (she isn't used to walking after all and easily gets exhausted) and complains, Roy tells her that she needs to build stamina but she retorts that her battles are about cleverness and using her head, not stamina. (It's fun seeing her complain and be open like that with her friends, and I think she'll be a bit more used to walking by the end of the arc)

As they reach the town, Dot films the bug Pokemon she gets to see (and she seems excited about seeing them and knows about Kaede being specialized in bug types so she assumes they feel at home there). Nyarote notices Liko seems lost in her thoughts, and Dot does too. She asks Liko if she is nervous (small moment I really liked since it shows that their dynamics is a two-way street and it's not just Liko paying attention to Dot and her feelings, Dot does too. It made me think of how Dot noticed Liko was pushing herself back in HZ027 and asked her about it when they were alone together, really like these kinds of moments). Liko admits she is, and Roy tries to reassure her by saying that she battled Rayquaza so she'll be fine (Roy is the type to approach things more positively). Liko is still worrying though, because that'll be the first time she'll use Terastal in a battle and she's never done it before, so she doesn't know how it's going to go... (it's like being nervous before an exam, and I like how this was portrayed and how Liko is still shown overthinking and being nervous and that this trait of hers doesn't magically disappear, she just learns to work around it better)

They head to town and decided to have some snacks first before heading to the gym (Hogator followed a food trail, and Nyarote looked out for him and alerted Liko by using her yoyo). Dot seems excited about the food. She is taking pictures of it and pays attention to how it tastes like, acknowledges that she's never had anything like it before.. (her food options are widening day by day, and it's good and important that she is looking forward to food now, after having trouble with it for so long, and that she is enjoying it with her friends) There were fun moments with the Pokemon too. Terapagos asking for more cake (and Liko giving everything she had to him, she barely ate it), Kaiden and Hogator beefing and Hogator quickly finishing his food before Kaiden could steal it (we really need to see more of Kaiden), and Kuwassu sharing his cake with Kanuchan who was about to cry because she finished hers cake and still wanted more (it's cute how he looks out for her ever since she joined the team).

Murdock eventually joins the kids since he is working part time at the shop to earn money for the ship repairs. The Pokemon are happy to see Iwanko again too. Murdock compliments Dot on her new outfit and she gets embarassed about it (she still can't take compliments well), and reveals Mollie is the one who picked it (it's nice how Mollie really looks out for Liko and Dot and takes care of things like that, especially because she picked an outfit that fits Dot's preferences in terms of clothes). Lots of casual Dot and Murdock interactions in this ep, which were good. During the first year, I felt like Murdock was a bit hesitant to approach her sometimes, like he was afraid of pushing her away if he was too overbearing, but now they talk casually and there is no awkwardness anymore. Anyway, Murdock explains to the kids that he is working part time with Kaede, and that the shop is busy every day. He seems happy about doing what he likes, and the kids notice he seems to be having fun too.

Afterwards, Liko and the others hear a commotion and decide to check what's happening. Sango is at the shop and complains to the owner about the limited sweets being sold out and demands that she makes another one for her. Dot points out that she is a textbook whiny customer ww Liko and Roy look at each other and decide to step in to tell her that she is bothering the employees. Sango wonders who is interrupting her and recognizes Liko and Roy. They recognize her too and seem on guard, but Liko decides to pretend she doesn't know who she is, so she addresses her as Sandwich (she is being polite about it too). They ask her why she is here, so she says she came for the limited sweets. Roy was about to tell her that they were delicious but Liko stops him from doing so. This interaction was kind of nice, because I feel like they could easily be friends if they weren't enemies... Sango was surprised to see them (she didn't expect to see them there so she wasn't following them or anything) and easily tells them that she came for the sweets.

Murdock can tell Sango is from the Explorers and wonders if she is there to watch Liko.. he decides to step in and tells her they don't have the sweets she wants. Meanwhile, Kaede introduces herself (and Murdock says she is the owner of the shop and the Gym Leader), and knew Liko would be coming (so the Gym Leaders seem to know about the students taking the Terastal course). She suggests getting started but Sango interrupts them. She is still pissed and wants to battle too and let loose. Kaede tells her she can't battle both of them, so Sango says that she'll battle Liko and Kaede can battle whoever wins. Murdock tells her to calm down, but Sango tells him to shut up (and even calls him an old man ww girl has no respect). Really liked Sango's VA in this scene (Ootani Ikue usually voice characters more on the cute side, like magical girl mascots or even Pikachu, so it's interesting seeing her take on an antagonist character like Sango, it's a different range than the one I'm used to). Liko actually accepts Sango's challenge (which I liked because in a way, she is accepting Sango's angry feelings and is willing to confront her and "hear" her). Liko asks Kaede if she can use Terastal during the battle because she's never used it before so she wanted to try it at least once. Sango is offended that Liko considered her as a training dummy (I liked that she pointed it out because it was a bit insensitive of Liko to say that in front of Sango), but she is willing to take her on anyway. Kaede tells Liko that practice is important, but practice is different from a real battle. She eventually decides that Sango and Liko will be having a baking contest and she'll have them make cakes.

At Kaede's shop, both Liko and Sango are ready to start the contest. Dot wonders if Liko knows how to make a cake, and Murdock tells her that he taught her before so she should be fine (which is cute, because that means Liko probably asked Murdock to show her before, or maybe he suggested they bake together when they were still on the Brave Asagi). Liko is nervous because it's her first time making a cake by herself, but she wants to do her best with Nyarote. Meanwhile, Sango seems confused by the kitchen tools and isn't sure what to do with them... Liko and Nyarote make a matcha cake (Nyarote's favorite flavor), while Roy and the others watch over them and support them. On the other hand, Sango completely failed her cake and she is frustrated about it and blames Onigohri for not helping her. She freezes everything, and Kaede ends up scolding her (but she doesn't raise her voice, she is intimidating even without doing that). Kaede explains to Sango that sweets are like bug Pokemon and hold lots of power despite being small and that it takes great care to make them delicious. She tells her to come again another day. Sango seemed a bit overwhelmed by her and decides to leave.

I thought this scene was rather sad for Sango, and I really hope they'll explain later on what's the deal with her. Kaede had a right to scold her, but Sango being alone with no one supporting her and not knowing about kitchen tools raises some questions for me. I feel like she has a difficult time with authority figures in general and doesn't know how to ask for help? This was a situation where Sango needed help and guidance since she didn't know how to bake at all (and still tried anyway). I wonder what kind of environment Sango grew up in, because I feel like maybe people around her gave up on her because of her personality? She doesn't like sharing things, and we're taught from a young age to share things with others because that's a nice thing to do (like, kids sharing toys to play with each other etc). I really hope we get to see more of Liko and Sango interacting later on.

Anyway, Kaede tells Liko she will administer her basics test. She also encourages Liko and Nyarote to try her cake and Liko is pleased that it turned out delicious. Kaede praises Liko and explains to Liko that she should put her heart in anything she does, and makes her realize that she put her all in the contest without worrying about practicing first. Liko realizes she was overthinking things and is eager to start the battle, so they all go to the battlefield.

The battle itself was alright. I liked Murdock commenting on what happens (it shows his knowledge, and he has interesting insight to share). Basically, Liko had to be careful about getting too close or too far from her opponent because Kaede had strategies in both cases. Liko eventually focuses on the battle (by taking a deep breath.. I always like when she does that to compose herself) and uses Magical Leaf as a distraction and smokescreen to find the perfect timing to use Terastal (her Terastal phrase is "shine in full bloom"). Kaede gets into the battle and eventually uses Terastal as well (which turns her Normal Type Himeguma into Bug Type, which is super effective against Grass) and wins the battle. Liko apologizes to Nyarote for losing even though she tried her best. Liko passes her Basics Test despite losing the battle. Winning or losing doesn't matter in Terastal Course battles (this isn't a Gym battle, this is a Terastal course battle). Kaede wanted to see if Liko could put her heart in the battle and if she could be in sync with her partner. She was supposed to stop the battle after Liko used Terastal but couldn't help but want to enjoy the battle a bit more and go all out. She sends Liko a stamp confirming that she passed her basics test and encourages Liko to enjoy the here and now going forward.

The use of Gym Leaders so far is interesting and so is the fact that they have duties outside the Gym battles. I think it adds to the region and makes the Gym Leaders more invested as characters and give them more depth? The school offering courses like the Terastal one and working together with Gym Leaders and guiding trainers even if they aren't strictly into competition is good. It bothered me when they were just around to hand out badges and the competitive aspect, so I like that they get invested in all kinds of trainers (like Colza spontaneously deciding to test Roy back in HZ010 because he wanted to see if he had what it took to chase Rayquaza and wanted to encourage him was great, just like how Kabu trained both Liko and Roy because he wanted to push them further). I also like that winning battles isn't everything for this course (just like Kabu said) and that what matters is the experience and what the kids learn from it. It shows they still have room for growth, which is good.

Anyway, the last scene is with the kids camping at night. Roy goes on about Nyarote's battle and Terastal, even Dot admits that it was exciting. Liko thanks Nyarote (and Nyarote was staying by Terapagos' side while the latter was sleeping, which is cute, especially since she avoided Terapagos a lot before when she was jealous). Liko also hopes she'll be able to use Terastal better (I'm not sure how Terastal works exactly, or if it's possible to fail at using it for some reason, like not being in sync with your Pokemon?), while Roy gets fired up for his basics test (which will be against Colza, and I think he'll probably win the battle this time).

One night; Floriz is plotting revenge ever since Tiff betrayed her.

Floriz: Oh, that no good lifemate of mine has betrayed me! Well no matter, it won’t stop me from releasing my army!

Floriz turns to her slime army

Floriz: My almighty slime army! It is time to take down the Solar Opposites and gain New Shlorp! Go! Destroy New Shlorp and the Solar Opposites!

The slime army starts moving as Floriz laughs

Floriz: Look out Korvotron! Your world is about to change!

We then cut to New Shlorp where everyone is getting ready for the Shlorpian Moon Festival (like in MLP: The Movie)

Korvo: Aah… this is perfect. The Shlorpian Moon Festival is almost complete.

Janiz: I know! Everything looks great!

Korvo: I agree my darling big sister of mine. And the best part is, nothing is ever gonna go wrong:

Jesse runs out the room in joy.

Terry: We know! What the fuck is the giant ship doing here?!

The ship lands and the slime army comes out

Korvo: *gasp in horror* EVERYONE! RUN FOR SHELTER!

The Shlorpians run but some are consumed by the slime monsters and turned into skeletons

Yumyulack: Holy fuck! Those slime monster are killing people and turned into skeletons!

Jesse: Run!

Kal: Oh fuck! This is so not happening!

The gang keeps running as fast they can away from the slime monsters as they try to figure out how to get away from them.

Terry: Korvo! What do we do?!

Korvo: Janiz, what is going on?!

Janiz: I don’t know! But I think New Shlorp is in big trouble!

Korvo: We have to figure out who sent them before-

Suddenly, a few of the slime monsters surrounded them as Korvo tries to think of a plan

Korvo: I got it! *puts on the crystal necklace as it glows*

Kara: Wait! What’s happening?!

Korvo transforms and is then seen wearing a white tuxedo with snowflake patterns

Korvo: Neat, right?!

Terry: Damn honey, you look faboo. So what are you planning to do with this?

Korvo charges up his ice powers

Korvo: Time for you all to chill out!

Korvo blasts his ice magic at the army and freezes them

All: Woo-hoo! Nice Korvo! Now let’s get the fuck out of here! Nice one bro! Nice ice blast man!

Korvo removes the necklace and turns back to normal before putting the necklace in his pocket

Korvo: Just in case I need it later.

Janiz: Nice! Come on come on! Let’s keep moving!

The Shlorpians keep moving and manage to get to safety

Kal: Phew that was a close one. But now what do we do?!

Korvo: What we must do! Save New Shlorp and stop whoever sent those fucked up slime monsters!

Terry groans in anger

Terry: You’re right Korvo! We worked so hard on this and we’re not gonna let he or she get away with it! Right guys?!

All: Yeah!

Meanwhile with Floriz

Floriz: Yes yes! This is finally happening! All of the Shlorpians are up for grabs! Now to figure out a way to find Korvo and his family and get rid of the fuckbag once and for all!

The scene cuts to the Shlorpians at night near a campfire

Yumyulack: Man, this is totally fucked up. I can’t believe slime monsters attack us.

Jesse: Yeah, and now New Shlorp is in trouble!

Korvo leans against Terry

Korvo: *sighs* Terry, I’m really scared. I just hope we can find the person responsible and save New Shlorp before it’s too late.

Terry wipes away Korvo's tears

Terry: Don’t worry Korvy, I’m sure we will

Terry kisses Korvo on the forehead

Korvo: *smiling and blushes* Thank you Terry-bear.

Back with the Shlorpians, they continue their journey.

Kara: We're close. I know it's around here somewhere.

Korvo: I hope we’re not too late!

Janiz: Don’t worry lil bro. I’m sure we’ll make it on time. Hopefully.

Yumyulack: Where are we going?

Kara: Don’t worry guys. We’re almost there!

Korvo: Yes!

The group arrives at an ancient city as Terry looks at a picture of it. The picture is lowered to reveal the city in ruins

Korvo: Oh dear. The city looks ruined.

Terry gets down on his knees and starts crying

Terry: Oh God! You fucking maniacs! You blew it up! Goddamn you! Goddamn you all to hell!

Kal: Holy shit! What happened to this place?!

Janiz: The slime army.

Korvo: Oh dear. You’re right. *notices slime on the city* The Slime army must’ve been here! We better keep an eye out for any of the monsters!

Terry starts growling in anger

Korvo: Terry darling? Are you okay?!

Terry: Floriz...

Korvo: Wait. What did you just say?

Terry: FLORIZ! SHE MADE THE SLIME ARMY TO KILL US!

The gang gasp in horror.

Korvo: Sh-she’s back?

Terry growls in response

Janiz: Oh my God. It’s just as I feared… Floriz has finally snapped!

Korvo: Damn it. Terry, we gotta-

Terry screams in fury and punches something as the others recoil in shock.

Jesse: Terry...

Terry breathes in and out in fury. Korvo runs up to comfort his husband.

Korvo: Shh.. it’s okay Terrybear… I’m here.. well stop Floriz…

Terry: Okay...

Korvo gives his hubby a kiss on the cheek to cheer him up.

Janiz: So what now?

Korvo: We keep moving and find help. Hopefully.

The Shlorpians keep moving. Unbeknownst to them, Tiff has been watching them.

Tiff: *whispering* Korvo?

Later, the Shlorpians back at the Solars' house to regroup

Korvo: Okay. This where we can stay low so we can come up with a plan to stop Floriz!

Korvo explains the plan as Terry watches from the door as Speechless by Naomi Scott starts to play

Janiz: Good. Then let’s do this. For New Shlorp!

Terry however is still looking down unsure about this.

Korvo: Okay! Now let’s head out and save our planet!

Jesse: FUCK YEAH! *does a primal scream as she knocks down a vase*

All: *amazed* Whoa!

Jesse runs off

Korvo: Terry? You coming?

Terry: Huh? Oh yeah. In a minute.

Terry looks down sadly and sighs. Later, the Shlorpians are trying to find Floriz's lair.

Korvo: Okay, we’re almost close. Be on the lookout for slime monsters!

Yumyulack: How do we know she'll-

Floriz: *offscreen* I GOT YOU NOW!

Korvo: What the-

Suddenly the gang gets ambushed as Floriz and a bunch of Slime Soldiers take them hostage.

Floriz: *chuckles* Well well well. Korvo and his loser husband Tyler.

Korvo: *growls* You monster! You fucking let us go this instant!

Terry: Yeah! And my name is Terry, not Tyler!

Floriz: Oh whatever! It’s too late! I have all of you in my grasp! *laughs evilly*

Janiz: How did you know we'd be here?

Floriz: I was tracking you this whole time! Now nothing can stop me now! Soldiers, bring those fucking Shlorpians to my liar! We got work to do!

Terry: Wait! No! I-

Terry gets knocked out unconscious by the solider as the others gasp.

Korvo: Terrybear! *growls at Floriz*

Who spams the other with memes? Johanne, she does try not to spam but there's just some things that are too fucking funny not to share. That and she likes to think that they brighten Cor's day since they're both busy often

Who likes to tidy around the house? Definitely Cor, not to say Johanne doesn't but her brand of tidying ranges from organized mess to label everything. If she didn't have her cat she'd be more of the organized mess

Who likes to play pranks on the other? Ooooh see this is interesting, I'll say Johanne for this one only because between the two she'll do it more frequently which is not often in the first place. but Cor has his moments and when he has them >:3c

Who asked the other to move in with them? 1000% Cor without a doubt in the world, this man is a provider through and through. There's no verse where Johanne is able to beat him to the punch on this question

Who is in charge of the music during a car ride? Whoever's not driving ig owo I'm actually not sure what Cor's taste in music is to answer this one ;;; Johanne's music taste ranges from classic 80s rock, to punk rock, to jazz soooo bc she's more than happy to listen to whatever he likes if he's driving but will also do the same if she'd the one driving

Who is more likely to tickle the other mercilessly? Johanne is more likely to attempt this, but Cor always succeeds on his turn XD

Who needs to hold the other during scary movies? Pffft Cor, Jo's hard to scare but certain jump scares do get her to yelp.

Who has to help the other when it comes to technology? I'm thinking Jo for this one, only because I think Cor would just want to know that basics of tech things but anything beyond that is unnecessary

Who likes to get a bit frisky in public / an inappropriate setting? Hrrm Johanne for this one, but like respectfully. She doesn't want to cause a big scandal or anything. Cor's an important figure and she understands that

Who wakes up first, and do they wake up the other or let them rest? Cor of course! He'll usually let Johanne rest unless she asked him to wake her up early the night before

Who is always taking pictures of the other when they aren’t looking? Johanne, she loves being able to keep photos of Cor for her to admire in private. Her favorites are ones where he's relaxed and rested, just enjoying whatever he's doing She has other favorites but that's different

Who always forgets their wallet and never ends up paying for anything? There's no way Cor would forget his wallet and neither would Jo really, but Cor will always insist on paying first. At some point they agree to take turns depending on what needs to be paid

Jesse Lives AU, pt 6

Jesse and Jale make it to the ship and contemplate next steps.

The captain didn't look happy to see that half of Jale's haul was a person, but at least the storm clouds cleared when he presented the navigational unit and the fuel.

"There's another piece I pulled from the engine room, if your medic takes a look at my stray," Jale said.

"Your stray?" Jesse snapped. He swayed getting off the speeder. Jale let him stumble and turned back to the captain.

"So?" he asked.

"Last time you brought one of your pretty boys on board he stole half our goods."

Jale sputtered.

"I didn't know -"

"That's the problem." The captain frowned as Jesse approached. "Is that a clone?"

"I am," Jesse said tightly. He glared at Jale. "I'm not fucking you."

"Please, my taste in men isn't that bad," Jale lied through his teeth. Jesse was exactly his type, unfortunately, but Jale was trying to ignore that.

"I won't be any trouble," Jesse told the captain. "Not unless you make trouble for me."

The captain looked him up and down warily, then glanced at Jale. Jale tried to look completely innocent of previous sexual escapades.

"Fine," he said. "We'll take the clone to Corellia and drop him off when we leave you behind."

"It's Jesse," Jesse said tightly. The captain didn't answer.

"So all the shit you were saying about how you didn't trust this crew, that's because you're an idiot who sleeps with thieves?" Jesse asked as they boarded the ship.

"No, they hated me before that," Jale said. "I'm not an idiot!"

Jesse scoffed.

"Haven't seen any evidence yet."

"You're going to be stuck with me for a while, Jesse," Jale said. "Maybe consider holding back on the judgment until you know a little bit more about the real world."

"The real world?" Jesse snapped. He stopped walking. Jale, for some reason, stopped too. "You ever seen what war looks like? You ever lost your family to ambush, and betrayal, and bad luck? That wreck out there is the last in a long line of real things, and you don't know a damn thing about any of it."

Jale swallowed. He wasn't about to give an inch to a man who'd spent the whole day insulting and belittling him, no matter what points he made.

"War isn't the only bad thing that ever happened," he said. "And it's not what life is like for most people."

"You think that makes it any less real?"

Jale was intensely aware of the fact that the captain had turned to look at them, and a few other crewmembers had surfaced to find out what was happening.

"You need to get your head checked," he said. Rage flashed across Jesse's face - he probably thought it was a dig at him - but Jale ignored him and turned to the ship's doctor.

"You want to take a look at a shipwreck survivor?" he said, like he was offering her a gift. She looked as though she couldn't decide whether to focus her attention on hating him or worrying over Jesse.

"Come here," she said to Jesse. "He picked you up off that ship out there?"

Jale ignored the murderous glare Jesse was still sending his way in favour of waving as the doctor steered Jesse away.

"She'll take good care of you," he said cheerfully, just before the doors closed behind them.

The doctor was surprisingly gentle and friendly, for someone who worked for a captain that so obviously didn't respect clones. Jesse was still on edge. He'd won the argument with Jale - the man would never have passed him off to the doctor if he hadn't - but he wanted to go back and make sure Jale knew just how wrong he was. He didn't know why. Jesse was usually better at letting things go, at least from natborns.

The doctor was at least quick about her checks and scans. She was no Kix, but Jesse knew a capable medic when he saw one. He tried to relax.

Finally she gave him a mostly clean bill of health.

"You're lucky, the worst you're hurt is your head," she said. "And you're healing up well from that, miraculously. I don't know what more I can do for you."

"So I'm fine?" Jesse said.

She frowned. "I can't do much for you, but there's definitely trauma. You may experience headaches, mood swings, loss of function - noticed anything?"

Jesse shrugged.

"Headaches," he said. "But we were engineered against that kind of thing."

Her face took on a pinched look which Jesse couldn't interpret.

"Doesn't really matter what your genetics look like when your head gets cracked like an egg," she said. "Look, just… if you notice anything, issues with motor control or speech or eyesight, let me know. You got off easy."

Easy. Jesse didn't think easy was landing on a near-empty moon. He didn't think easy was depending on a too-cocky stranger and the crew that hated him. He didn't think easy was outliving everyone you knew, and being left behind for dead by the one person you had left.

"Sure," he said.

"Look," the doctor said. "If you don't want to be stranded on Corellia at Jale's mercy, I'm sure I can talk to the captain. Maybe you could work for us -"

It was a smart idea. He wouldn't be stuck with Jale. He'd be able to travel where he needed to go, as soon as he figured out where that was.

But some part of him hated the idea of working for anybody that wasn't the Republic. Jale, at least, hadn't framed it like that - like Jesse would be betraying himself by assisting. Jesse may have hated picking over the Venator's bones, but it hadn't been a job.

It was stupid. It was impractical. He'd never be able to survive, thinking like that.

But he could put off the moment when he needed to change.

"It's fine," he said. "I'll make Corellia work."

Dotaku Island as a deep space research station (maybe with a seed vault?). Peach is a botanist and has a massive greenhouse/biodome situation. I don't think Grey's work changes much. Plum is the Starfleet liaison and gets extra tension with Peach bc she represents the "authority". Rumor has it that Peach has a Vulcan sparing partner. Just... Space Shenanigans.

Peach - "don't screw with forces you do not understand" and everyone thinks something really bizarre happened but really she was trying to program a replicator while sleep deprived and it made all the food taste like cold spinach until it could be fixed. Grey will remember this forever.

Peach’s role as a doctor was wildly untrusted due to her partial Klingon appearance. Though its very distant, and somewhat subtle next to a full blooded Klingon, the ridges on her face are impossible to miss, and many who enter the med-bay are somewhat unnerved the first time they realise the active medical chief is linked to a traditionally combat-driven race. She takes great pride in her heritage and trains a lot in physical combat, but chose a more peaceful job role due to her ridiculous blood pressure and stress levels. Her medical training got directed down botany and toxicology, important when staff come back from new planets, and totally gets her out in the field to take samples and document new species, which she loves way more than the paperwork and desk days. Her role often extends to field medic/battle medic.

Plum is a perfect diplomat, half vulcan, half human, a total know it all, arrogant and egotistical, she shares more traits with her human mother than her vulcan father, and seems to feel very disconnected from him and his history, often questioning her place in the family due to how different she seems from the others. shes no good at mind melding, and practices a lot to improve. Much to her annoyance Plum has to answer to those higher in rank than her, ie. Peach, amongst many others. This endless power struggle leads the pair to argue constantly. Once or twice they've been known to start bar fights in their recreational time, taking swings at each other when provoked. Plum is endlessly having to patch relations after very effective but rude trips to the medical bay, where people from various planets and colonies end up confronted with peach, who takes zero shit. Though hindered by the rest of the crew, Plum is very good at her job, and seems to hold a quiet dignity in the presence of higher ranking officers and visitors. Her diplomacy is widely discussed, and when handling new contacts, she's the first to be called to make sure things go smoothly. Knows her stuff, a bit of a nerd when it comes to researching other cultures. Can be high-key paranoid.

Grey is the most humble of the pair, a Bajoran engineer with a mind for tinkering, endlessly adjusting his creations, sometimes for the better, sometimes...not so much. His ability to creatively problem solve has kept his at the top of his field aboard the ship, and many younglings fall under him to learn. His lessons are patient and informative, but sometimes things do explode. He enjoys the moment to head off to the medical bay and get sassed by Peach, sits and waits while she patches him up, knowing she'll keep him and his students in one piece no problem. He'll see calm and collected for the most part but is a bit jittery thanks to all the blasts and burns received in his work, he'll air on the side of caution and often berates Peach for her reckless choices, not that it seems to land her in hot water much. He likes to take holodeck trips to the wild west and pretend to be a rancher, sometimes he'll trek on horseback up a mountain and observe wildlife. His love for nature leads him to Peach's lab, a botanists wet dream, the only place on the ship with fully functional healthy greenery, that is free to take over the space as much as possible. You can get lost in her department thats for sure!

The trio blow off steam fighting in the holodeck together, plum has great aim with ranged weapons, and took the fencing simulations in her academy days and so has a finesse to her. Peach is the opposite, using devious unfair tactic and brute force. Grey is strong enough to take a hit sure, but too nervous to dish it out, unwilling to risk hurting the other two.

Cabenson: we all know it's Olivia! like, canologically (a least in the later seasons) we see her cooking a lot, and it's a pretty big variety of dishes/cuisines. I like to think that she uses cooking as her relaxing time, it's a time to wind down and not really think about the day so she focusses on the recipe/food and making sure it's gonna taste good. Bonus points for Alex perched on the edge of the counter sampling everything as they go.

Calex/Calvak: Casey. again, Alex is a disaster in the kitchen, we all know it. girl will order takeout any night of the week and has no issues with it. Casey's the one meal prepping their lunches every Sunday, making sure they get healthy and balanced meals in. Her Sunday cooking days are for *her* though and she regularly shoo's Alex out of the kitchen so she has her own space. there's a few different meals, so there's lots of mess/dishes to deal with. Similar to Alex, Rita can't handle much past easy breakfast food, and she doesn't really want to/enjoy cooking either, not to mention she has the money to waste on takeout daily, or a professional chef, or a meal delivery service (one where the meals come already cooked and she can pop it in the microwave and just eat it)

Novelly: both Casey & Liz are pretty equal when it comes to the kitchen. Liz knows a lot more gourmet dishes, and fancier baking skills, but those are usually saved for special occasions. they swap off for prepping lunches/dinners, but usually make their own breakfasts. Casey likes to get up and run in the morning, whereas Liz prefers to sit and enjoy her coffee, toast and eggs slowly while reading the paper. Casey usually just grabs a smoothie and a coffee and heads into the office post shower.

Barhoun: again, Rita's a disaster, and Rafael will constantly remind her about it. they both rely on a lot of takeout, but Raf's definitely the better cook. he also definitely introduces Rita to a lot of international dishes over the years that she's never heard of before. and naturally, Lucia usually brings over a week's supply of meals on a regular basis cause she'll show up at their apt and find the fridge empty minus a singular leftover takeout container and a bottle of coffee creamer and just rolls her eyes.

Barisi: it's another one with a good balance. though these boys totally argue over who's the better cook CONSTANTLY. Carisi does the majority of the cooking, Barba's the one who doesn't even really realize he's hungry yet cause he's so loaded up on coffee.

Wovak: I feel like this one is similar to Novelly, but Melinda's way better and knows more dishes so she usually cooks. it's the days that she's been working way too much overtime that Casey always makes sure to have dinner ready when she gets home, or takes it to her at her office.

Kippa: it's obviously Pippa. Kat's younger, and Pips is amazed at how the girl can eat a burger and fries nightly and feel great and not gain a pound. like, Kat could easily survive off an energy drink for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and chinese for dinner. She's decent enough in the kitchen, but definitely doesn't know how to cook like, full Sunday dinner kinda things. Easy dishes, stir fry, chicken and veggies, that kinda shit. Pippa's got way more experience, and knows how to alter the healthy foods just right so that the kids still like them (and yes...sometimes that includes Kat...)

Rollisi: Do i even need to do this one? LOL! it's obvi Sonny. I do think Amanda knows enough to get by, like, there's the vibe that she kinda had to take care of herself & her sister growing up, but she's no chef, that's for sure. and she doesn't enjoy it.

Benhoun: Obviously, again, it's Olivia. Rita's the one recommending nice bistros and restaurants around the city (and footing the bill) while Olivia's the one actually cooking. Though they both enjoy the staying in nights cause it gives them time to shoot the shit and talk non-work stuff while Olivia cooks. like, politics, philosophical conversations, or even just volleying back and forth over tv shows/movies.
