Resources for Creating: My Go-To things.

Update: I’ll be updating the list on this page from now on, since Tumblr can’t handle so many hyper-links in one post, on Dreamwidth - right here, so I won't have to update it multiple times. Please note: I keep updating this list, and updates aren't showing up on reblogs. Please check the original post for the most up to date list.

Sooo this is going to be a long comprehensive list. I got back to this game after a long time and with a different computer, with a dedicated graphics card, hurray! It made me want to return to making things, so while gathering back all the necessary stuff, I've complied this list. It might be is updated as I go along, but these are the main things I use. Maby one day i'll even finish something. So here are my go-to resources & tutorials; I'm posting it here for safekeeping, and hopefully others will find it helpful. Everything that's listed is here free. So many wonderful things for free under the cut.

Programs – General:

Creating: Blender. Blender Addons: 3D Print Toolbox – comes with blender, enable it from within the program. Originally for 3d printing. Good for fixing flipped normals, and some quick general repairs. Source Tools And source tools wiki – for exporting as SMD!!!! (SimPe: to enable bump maps for the mesh on import). GMDC Addon for Blender 4.0+ by Nopke.

GIMP. GIMP Addons: G'MIC-Qt. Resynthesizer. Nvidia dds?. Doesn’t it come with Gimp?

Other: Nvidia Texture Tools Exporter (iirc it works with all graphic cards that are compatible, doesn’t require Nvidia). For making Normal / Bump / Cube Maps. For high quality compression.

NormalMaps - Online, For making all types of maps, has good setting menus. A very cool tool.

Converting: Umodel, for Unreal Engine (Static meshes: export as gtlf.2. Animated meshes: export as psk. Requires Add-on). AssetStudio, for Unity. AC Viewer, self implied (+ USD Addon for blender). QuickBMS* and support forum, for basically everything else. (don't forget the required scrips, down the same page). *I haven’t tested it fully yet, but it was recommended here. A tutorial for it is listed further down. Works like a charm.

UV Mapping: UV Mapper, Classic (free) and the most recent Demo (for visualization).

Programs – Sims:

Never Mind the Bollox, Here's Osab and MAGIkarp to the rescue!

Latest version of SimPe, works with a non-default installation path. Chris Hatch's updates.

Home Crafter installation, Post by Huge Lunatic at Sims2Artists.

Repository Wizard, by Pick'N'Mix Mods. A game changer.

DBPF Compare, by Pick'N'Mix Mods.

Object Relocator, also by Pick'N'Mix Mods.

SMD Tools, by Lazy Duchess.

Bulk Rename Utility, to change file names in well, bulk. As explained by io here.

Using Gimp Add-ons: G'MicQT. Resynthesizer. Both by Davies Media Design. This guy's channel for Gimp in general – here's a good one to begin with. And another one about layer masks.

Making a texture Tile Seamless: 1. My favorite - How to Make Seamless Textures for Cinema 4D - 3 Levels of Photoshop Wizardry using iPhone Photos, by School of Motion.

2. Simple Trick for More Realistic Texture Patterns in GIMP, by Davies Media Design – Quick and simple, using the Resynthesizer plugin. Good for patterns.

Making walls in SimPe out of a square texture, with minimal quality loss. To be written.

Part 1: New Year's Eve

Pairing: Spencer Reid x Fem!Reader

Description: My only New Year's Eve plan is to help my best friend Penelope entertain her many party guests. When I find myself alone with her coworker, Spencer (who I've had a crush on for ages), it seems that my New Year's might turn out different than I had planned.

A/N: This fic is part 1 of a duo. Part 2: New Year's Day is in the works, and will hopefully be posted on time! I came up with this idea literally yesterday, and I've been writing like a madman since then, so edits might be made to this one after posting. I'm posting it right before midnight my time! Credit to @saradika-graphics for the divider graphics, including the one I cropped below.

Penelope has always thrown stellar parties, but this one might be her largest to date. I can hear the music streaming from her apartment all the way down the hall. I sift through the keys on my keyring to find the one I need: my copy of her house key.

Streamers, balloons, and shimmery garlands cover the walls of Penelope’s apartment. There are somehow more guests than I’d expected. Penelope tends to make friends wherever she goes. Still, I didn’t expect for what seems to be everyone she knows to be free tonight. Many guests don party hats. Some are also wearing those silly New Year’s glasses with lenses in the shape of numbers. Not even two steps in the door, and I jump as someone prematurely blows a noisemaker.

Different dishes that partygoers have brought cover every inch of Penelope’s kitchen island. A potluck of appetizers and various salads, from the leafy green kind to the macaroni or potato variety. I squeeze around the guests loitering in her kitchen, leaning against the counter, probably because there’s nowhere to sit. Inside her fridge, it’s like playing Jenga, trying to find a spot to shove the champagne bottles I bought.

Penelope’s dazzling emerald dress sticks out in the sea of black and metallic fits. Nobody can upstage the hostess, dare they try. I wrap my best friend in a hug from behind and she reflexively smacks my arm before realizing it’s me.

“Oh, my god!” she shrieks. She looks annoyed, rolling her eyes, but my behavior has garnered chuckles from the group she’s chatting with. Two knitting club friends. “Look who finally showed up! She conveniently had to work all day while I finished setting up.”

I was here on Sunday doing all the decorating grunt work, but I choose to not argue the semantics. I’ll let her have the upper hand. Consider it an apology for the jump scare, Penelope.

“It’s not my fault that New Year’s Eve isn’t a holiday, and I, like most people, work a Monday-to-Friday, nine-to-five. You are aware of that, right?”

Penelope pecks my cheek before swiping at it with her thumb to wipe her bright red lipstick off. I ask her if she needs help with anything, as a good best friend to the hostess does, but predictably, she’s on top of everything.

I make my rounds, catching up with the many people I already know and greeting those I haven’t met. “Hi! I don’t think we’ve had the pleasure of meeting yet! I’m Penelope’s best friend.”

Hours pass, filled with stories of so-and-so’s new baby or graduation or other meaningful milestone. Then there are the few party games I’m roped into. On the plus side, every time I loop back around past the kitchen, I pick at the hors d'oeuvres. After work, I picked up the champagne, and then came straight here. The finger foods will suffice as dinner, I suppose.

From the spot I’ve claimed as my own against the wall, I watch my best friend, with her seemingly infinite social battery, open the door and gleefully welcome a couple I’ve never seen. How are people still showing up!?

With a quick flick of the wrist, I glance at my watch. Still two hours to midnight. Ugh, shit.

I push myself off the wall and snake my way through the field of bodies, metaphorical white flag a-waving.

“Pen, I know we’re getting closer to midnight, but I need to go take a nap or something. I’m absolutely drained. Just let me recharge for a few, and then I’ll be back out here. Promise.”

“Hey, hey, hey,” Penelope says, guiding me a mere two feet to the side—all the crowd will allow. “I’ve seen you chatting it up all night. You know you don’t have to do that, my love. I’ve had the bedrooms locked, but Spencer was feeling a bit overwhelmed, so I let him into the guest bedroom if you want to join him in there.” She’s sincere, but teasing, gently bumping my shoulder with hers. Her innuendo is far from lost on me.

Huh, yeah. Spencer’s the only one on her team, besides Aaron Hotchner, who I haven’t already bumped into tonight. Hotch is probably at home with the family. Where has Spencer been all night? He is usually a bit of a wallflower whenever he does show up to parties. Being friends with Penelope since childhood and moving out to D.C. with her, I’ve gotten to know everyone she’s close with, especially her coworkers. I’ve had a teensy-weensy crush on Spencer Reid since I first met him, not long after I moved out here, and Penelope’s teased me about it ever since.

I pull my lips tight and nod. “Yeah, I think I can manage that.”

Yes, I’ve gotten to know Spencer quite a bit over the years, which has not helped ease my crush, but there’s no way he thinks of me as anything more than a friend. He probably just thinks of me as a friend-of-a-friend or as an acquaintance. Even worse…

It’s kind of become a cycle. I start seeing someone or get into a whole relationship, and then I don’t have to think about Spencer at all, which is great. But, when I inevitably become single again and Penelope mentions his name, the longing starts all over again.

It’s just a crush, though. Everyone has crushes. And most people don’t act on these types of crushes. Why would I put Penelope in the middle of that?

The hall where Penelope’s bedroom, the guest bedroom, and a bathroom are is already much quieter than the rest of her house. All the noise is coming from behind me. The quiet is calling to me like a siren’s song; hopefully just luring me into a 20-minute catnap, if I’m lucky.

I gently tap my knuckles against the guest bedroom door twice before opening it. Only the nightstand lamps are on, and this cozy, warm room feels like escaping to actual Heaven right now. Spencer is sitting on the edge of the bed, hands in his lap.

“Hey, mind if I join you?” I ask, my heart rate ramping up instead of slowing down.

“[Y/N], hey! Of course. Did Penelope tell you I was hiding away in here?”

I close the door behind me, and the roar of the party dies down to a rumble. “Well, I told her that I needed to get away from the crowd for a little bit, maybe take a nap or something, and she said she had just let you in here. My social battery died like, an hour ago.”

I join Spencer on the edge of the bed, keeping a respectable amount of distance.

“I’m not much of a party person if you haven’t already figured that out,” he says.

“I don’t think I am either, honestly. Well, not anymore, at least. I was a little bit of a partier when I went off to college. But as I’m sure you could guess, me and Penelope weren’t really a part of the ‘in’ crowd as teenagers.”

“Is college the only time you and Penelope weren’t attached at the hip?”

“Yeah,” I laugh. “Basically. Right before I sent off my college applications, we had gotten into a fight over something stupid. It was so stupid, that neither of us can remember what it was over. But, instead of applying to CalTech with her, I applied to a couple schools I knew she wasn’t applying to. I ended up getting accepted to Georgia Tech. Literally, the other side of the country. I think that I had it in my head that I was going to show her that she’d miss me.”

“And then you guys made up?”

“We literally made up two days after I sent off my applications, yeah,” I nod, my story earning a laugh from Spencer.

“I can’t believe I haven’t heard that story before.”

Another rogue noisemaker is sounded, muffled by the wall between us and the chaos, but it’s enough of a surprise to startle both of us.

“Sorry,” he says, “I should’ve asked. Did you want the room to yourself? I don’t mind if you need me to step out.”

“Oh, no. I’m completely fine. If I wanted to be alone, I could’ve just gone to Penelope’s room. It’s not like you’re a stranger or anything. As long as you don’t mind if I accidentally pass out.”

I sit up and round the bed to the far side, and when I slip under the sheets, I regret my choice of a black skirt and tights for tonight. Spencer sits on top of the sheets on the other side.

“I really wish I hadn’t left my book out in the living room,” he jokes.

“So, you’re saying I don’t get a bedtime story?”

I try, as discreetly as I can, to slip my tights off under the sheets. Every time I adjust my position, I tug them down a little bit more.

“If you want me to read to you, I can,” he says.

Got ‘em down to my knees.

“I forgot about that whole memory thing,” I laugh. “What’s that called, again?”

“I have an eidetic memory. It’s primarily for things I’ve read, though.”

So close.

“I mean, you definitely don’t have to, but if wanted to read me something, it would be really helpful to mask the noise.”

Yes! Finally. I’m freeee.

I kick my tights off my feet under the covers (a problem for me to deal with later, when I’m more awake) and I can breathe a sigh of comfort at last.

Spencer begins to speak, but I cut him off.

“Sorry. Just don’t let me sleep more than 20 minutes. I’m aiming for 15, even. I should be out like a light. I’m a good napper. Gold-medal worthy.”

I flop back down onto the bed and let my heavy eyelids fall shut. Spencer reads some story aloud with no text in front of him. As I drift off, his voice lulling me to sleep, I know this is going to be something that I playback from memory in the future. A decayed version in my own, fallible memory.

The world is dark, but noisy. I haven’t yet gathered the strength to open my eyes, but the rest of my senses are slowly feeding my brain information. I feel a steady rise and fall against my back. Breathing. A man’s face nuzzled into my neck. I’m being spooned from behind, but he isn’t under the covers with me. He’s above them. Even through the fabric, I can feel him against my ass. The hardness between his legs pressed into my backside. Where the hell am I?

It’s New Year’s Eve. Penelope’s guest bedroom. Spencer.

Spencer’s breathing picks up, and as my eyes flit open, I’m ripped from my sleepy bliss and plunged into utter panic. He’s woken up too. Spencer jumps out of bed at the same time I do, clearly stunned.

“[Y/N], I am so, so sorry. I completely didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

“Shit. No, I’m sorry.”

Does he know I have a crush on him? Is he going to think I planned that? In my barely-awake daze, I jump to the worst-case scenario.

Spencer just keeps rambling apologies and swearing up and down that he fell asleep by mistake. My disorganized words of reassurance don’t seem to be cutting through.

“10... 9…”

The chanting from outside our bubble only takes a moment for me to register. It’s already midnight?

“8…7…”

Spencer still hasn’t shut up. Before I can fully realize what I’m doing, I round the bed to where he’s standing. He stops mid-sentence.

“6…5…4…”

He hears it. He realizes. Our faces are so close; mine, angled up to his. Was I going to say something to calm him down? I don’t remember anymore. His eyes are darting across my face, mirroring my gaze. Eyes, lips. Eyes, lips.

“3…2…1…”

Our lips crash together right as a chorus of Happy New Years and noise-makers chimes.

Spencer Reid’s lips. On mine.

Pairing: Bucky Barnes x gn!Reader

Tags/Warnings: FLUFF, innuendos, suggestive themes, not really anything romantic in this one I'm afraid, could be the start of something who knows, but Bucky and reader are friends :)

Summary: Bucky thinks double room means a room with two beds and after a long mission, both of you just want sleep.

“Were friends, this doesn’t need to be weird.”

You stood in your bloodied, tattered clothes on one side of the bed, acting the pinnacle of nonchalance whilst your heart hammered violently. On the other side stood Bucky in his equally dishevelled clothes, shoulders slumped and looking relatively worried about your predicament.

“Saying that makes it weird,” Bucky sighed. “This isn’t awkward at all.”

You threw up your hands exasperated. “You booked the hotel. You made it so weird.”

“I thought double meant two.” Bucky said defensively. “A double room would be two beds.”

“It would be a double bed, Bucky.” You cover your face with your hands and screamed in frustration. “OK, OK look. We can top and tail.”

Bucky looked at you quizzically, like a confused puppy. “Top and tail?”

“Wh- wai- …. you don’t know what topping and tailing is?” You gape at him.

A red flush crept up Bucky’s neck and onto his cheeks and he cleared his throat with a cought into his fist.

You didn’t notice and continued, confused. “You never topped and tailed with Steve?”

Bucky sputtered, bright red. “I – no… we never… we’re just friends.”

You balk at him, realisation dawning and your cheeks also going red.

“Oh my God! Get your mind out of the gutter.” You hiss at him. “Topping and tailing is when one person is at the top of the bed and another at the bottom.”

“Oh.” Bucky mumbles quietly and nods.

“Did you think-“

“I don’t want to talk about it.” Bucky said quickly. “I’m 106, give me a break.”

You wanted to laugh but though better of it, instead saying, “Are you topping or tailing then?”

Bucky raised his metal had out and grimaced. “Don’t say it like that. I’ll take the bottom of the bed.”

He picked up the pillow nearest to him, and moved it to the bottom of the bed, fluffing it before peeling back the covers. He pauses, looking sheepishly over to you and gesturing for you to turn around. You're sure you've invented a new shade of red, realising you're going to have to strip to your pyjamas as well. You turn away from him, mimicking his actions. Stripping away your must dusty day clothes has never felt so awkward. In fact, you don't ever recall a time you wanted to keep them on.

The bed creaks under Bucky's weight as he climbs into the bed.

"Hey," You chide teasingly. "No peeking."

"Shut up." Bucky huffs, scrunching his eyes shut. "My eyes are closed. I don't wanna look at your ugly ass."

You would usually quip back but tonight your mind is elsewhere as you crawl into your side of the bed, timidly settling beside Bucky before switching the light off.

Both of you lay with your arms firmly against your sides over the covers, staring at the ceiling for a few minutes.

“Comfy,” You said sarcastically.

“Shut up.” Bucky hisses from the darkness.

“Just don’t kick me with those gigantic hooves of yours.” You threw yourself onto your side, making the springs bounce rapidly. You turned away from him, wrapping the blanket around yourself.

“Hey, that's rude. I can’t help my feet are big.” Bucky faux-pouts.

Before you could stop yourself you quipped, “You know what they say about big feet.”

Silence.

“I hate you.” Bucky sighed from the other end of the bed, unable to keep the smile entering his voice.

“I’m so sorry,” You groaned into your pillow, wishing you were dead. “I couldn’t stop myself.”

“It’s all right. Let’s just… try and go to sleep.” Bucky yawned loudly and shifted under the covers.

“Okay, okay I get the hint.” You sighed, eyes fluttering closed. “Goodnight, Buck.”

“Night Y/N.”

Ten minutes passed in silence. Bucky counted the minutes and Emma tried counting sheep, trying to remember to breathe and focus on being as still as possible. Bucky seemed to have a similar thought process.

Bucky spoke first. “I can’t sleep.”

You sat up a little, twisting around to look at the void at the bottom of the bed. “Oh thank God, I thought it was just me.”

Bucky chuckled a little and propped himself up onto his elbows and strained his eyes to find your shadow in the darkness.

“Should we get up?” He suggested, unsure of what to do.

“And what? Eat a tin of beans? Even The TV doesn’t work here.” You kicked at the sheet in frustration.

“There’s gotta be something we can do.”

“A few things spring to mind,” You grumble and your hand flies to your mouth in horror. There’s a few beats of silence and you want to scream into your pillow. Again.

“…like?” You can hear the smirk in Bucky’s voice and reaching for the corner of her pillow, a deathly intent settling that you must wipe that smugness away from his mug. With expert stealth, you throw the pillow at Bucky's shadowy figure as you sweetly say;

“Pillow fight.”

“Hey!” Bucky laughs, removing the pillow from his face. He throws it back to you and feels triumphant hearing the “wump” of the pillow smacking your face. “Maybe something less violent.”

“Eye spy?” You joked and Bucky tickled the foot nearest him, making you kick and squeal at him.

“Suggest something better.” Bucky said, laughing and swatting your assaulting foot away.

“Like what, pervert?” You snap.

Bucky groaned. “Mind. Gutter. Out.”

You huff and stare at the cieling but now your mind has been cluttered with filth you can’t quite focus on anything else. You fold your arms across your chest above the sheets and huff. You think back to the events of the day, the mission, and whatever else it is you both do for work.

“Wanna play twenty questions?” You suggest, lips pursed thoughtfully.

“Sure. Why not.”

More silence.

“You go first.” You say quickly

“what? Why? It was your idea!” Bucky protests.

“Because I can’t think of a question.” You giggle, beginning to see the absurdity of your situation.

“Well, you’ve got another 19 to think of better ones!”

That does it. You start laughing harder and, like a chain reaction, it starts Bucky chuckling too. Softly at first but you’re both ricocheting off eachother and soon you’re both gasping for air and clutching your sides like kids at a sleepover.

“How do we always manage to end up like this?” You ask, taking deep shallow breaths to steady your breathing.

“There’s one,” Bucky grins into the darkness. You feel a shift in the covers and assume he’s shrugging. “I don’t know, doll. You always seem to manage to make me smile.”

“I like your smile,” you say sincerely. The shroud of darkness seemingly helping you to be more honest and straightforward than you’d usually be. You chuckle softly, the image of his smiling face etched into your memory. “Your eyes go all crinkly and you look damn adorable.”

“You just called one of the world’s greatest assassins adorable,” Bucky teases, his cheeks feeling a little warm.

“Your turn,” you say snootily, tactfully avoiding to answer him.

Bucky huffs trying to think. “Uh, what’s your favourite colour?”

“That’s such a shit question.” You chide, starting to giggle again.

“I’m trying.” Bucky chuckles.

"I like... well, I like a lot of colours." You've never really thought too hard about a favourite. "Maybe blue?"

"How do you not fave a favourite?" Bucky quizzes and you can see him in your mind's eye scowling at you. "Everyone has a favourite."

"That's two questions and I've never given it much thought." You shrug under the covers. "Why what's yours?"

"Easy. It's..." Bucky trails. You wait for a moment before calling to him.

"Buck?"

"I'm thinking." Comes his grumbling reply. You bite back a chuckle. "Maybe also blue."

"You're saying that because I said it." You argue.

"Am not!" Bucky says defensively.

"Are too."

You both continue arguing back and forth, eventually asking more questions that easily become more than twenty. You find out more about eachother; your families, your friends and relationships, favourite foods. You go in circles until you both begin to drift to sleep.

The following morning, you're a lot more spry and feeling less awkward about the whole bed situation. You notice that Bucky has been up and out for a while and decide to surprise him with his favourite breakfast item (pain au chocolat, as he'd told you last night) before he gets back; only to find he'd had the same idea whilst he was out. You both stand holding your brown bags of food laughing at one another, before swapping bags and sitting down to eat, conversation picking up from where you'd left it the night before with ease.

Somehow you think that you and Bucky's relationship has evolved from sharing a bed together; and for the better. Perhaps he should make more good mistakes often.

~ Animate Products

Animate is the largest retailer of anime, manga and video games in Japan, so it’s only natural that it has created some Future Diary merch over the years.

~ SOFT Products

SOFT is another retail company, though unfortunately I can’t seem to find any information about the company itself. Either way, they released a plethora of Future Diary merch back in the day:

Future Diary compact mirrors (released on March 31st, 2012). There were two versions: a “12th” and a “DEAD END” design.

Future Diary iPhone 4/4s phone cases (released on March 3rd, 2012). There were two versions: a “DEAD END” and an “Oyasumi, Yukki” design.

Future Diary t-shirts (also released on March 3rd, 2012). There were two versions: a red/ “DEAD END” and a black/ “Oyasumi, Yukki” design. (source).

~ Victorinox Collaboration

Random collaboration alert! Back in 2012, Victorinox worked together with Kadokawa to release two versions of their Classic SD styled army knife: a “DEAD END” model and a “Yuno (Eye)” model. (source).

(Fun fact: the name of the latter coincidentally confirms that the eye we see at the beginning of Future Diary’s OP is, in fact, Yuno’s).

~ Great Eastern Entertainment

Great Eastern Entertainment is a famous manufacturer and retailer for officially licensed products here in the west. They’re actually responsible for creating the largest catalog of Future Diary merch from any company in this list. In fact, if you’ve ever seen officially licensed FD products at any western store (such as Hot Topic), it is more than likely from this brand. Sadly though, most of it is currently unavailable. Given how large and varied their catalog is, I’ll provide photos from their product listings instead of naming them one by one. You can browse through all their listings here.

~ Yuno Gasai Figurines

There are currently three Yuno Gasai action figures:

The elusive RAH figure, released by Medicom Toys

The Yuno Nendoroid, released by Good Smile

The POP UP PARADE figure + limited edition version, also by Good Smile

~ PSP Game

This game is an entire rabbit hole of its own, but I’ll try keeping it brief. The PSP game “Future Diary: the 13th Diary Owner” had its original release back in 2010, as well as its re-release titled “Re:Write” in 2012.

Each release of the game was accompanied by a series of related merchandise, such as telephone and library cards and a Yuno maid poster.

Re:Write also had its own limited edition bundle, which included:

A double-sided pillow case.

The Oyasumi CDs.

A double sided disk sleeve.

A CD with 13 themed PSP wallpapers.

There were two other PSP wallpapers: one which you could download from the official game’s website, and another that you could buy from a company called Happinet.

~ The Live World

This was a Future-Diary-themed concert, which featured music and voice actors from the show. I’ve made in-depth posts about it in the past, so check those out for more information. In terms of products related to this concert, we have:

The Blu-Ray disk recordings of the concert (released back in 2013), which included an additional 9-minute recording of the making of the event, as well as an eight-page booklet.

A pamphlet, neck strap and clear file, which all featured the same image from the event poster.

Three t-shirts produced by the company MARS SIXTEEN

An event bundle, which included a t-shirt, waterproof phone pouch and drawstring bag, all with the same graphic.

13 Moons Reading Challenge 2024 — Announcement

So it’s finally time for the announcement of the 13 Moons reading challenge for 2024. Another year, another list of prompts that will make your reading journey exciting. This reading challenge is created by me for the entire reading community. So if you love reading or are looking for a reading challenge to try for the upcoming year, then here is one for you.

Rules & Levels

The rules for this reading challenge are simple. First of all, this is just for fun so no need to feel pressured into doing anything or reading anything you don’t want to. You can also be flexible with the prompts if you choose to do so. The challenge will run from January 1st, 2024 and till December 31st, 2024.

There are a total of 104 reading prompts divided into 13 categories. There is a list of levels given and you can choose which level you wish to participate in based on your preference. The levels you can participate in are as follows:

Penumbral Lunar Eclipse: 13 books — fulfill one prompt from each category

Partial Lunar Eclipse: 26 books — fulfill at least one prompt from each category

Central Lunar Eclipse: 52 books — fulfill at least one prompt from each category

Total Lunar Eclipse: 104 books — fulfill all the prompts

I am trying to create a graphic for it, and if I succeed I’ll edit this post and attach the graphic later, but for now I will write it all down here in case you wish to participate and plan your TBR. If you haven't read this yet please do yourself a favour and read it. The premise was enough to get me irrevocably hooked (anti-harem but the gf is ALSO into you. ALSO SHE'S YOUR EX) and the writing is just FANTASTIC. I'm obsessed with the dialogue and description at every turn. Also, I would very much like to kiss Quinn please and thank you. The plot is beginning to set in now, and it's so good??? I have to cut this short or else I'll talk forever <3

BURSTS INTO TEARS. Like for real though I adore this fic, it will break you into a hundred million pieces. My beloved son!!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't add this one to my last list it's such an influential piece of my existence like genuinely

There is also a sequel! Which hasn't updated since 2018 BUT STILL IS REALLY GOOD. If you want a slightly less heartbreaking story, the author also has another Sans/Reader; A Tale of Dog and Monster which makes me want to cry but in a happy emotional way instead.

Ah... this one is very fun. You're a scientist who gets accidentally isekai'd into a Mafiatale universe and becomes stranded there. Unfortunately for you, Don Gaster and his brothers think you are a spy, so you're kinda stuck with them. Also Sans is kinda a little freak in this one at times (/appreciative)

The reader (the Soul Collector) gets transported into another universe and has to stay with their alternate, who is the skeleton's terrible neighbour. You look just like her, of course, resulting in a lot of VERY confusing interactions. I wasn't expecting to, but I actually really like Meyer.

Anti harem, but the reader gets mcfreaking MURDERED (and so does classic Papyrus?!) so now they are both Ghosts. Focus is currently more on platonic relationships and REVENGE but I'm enjoying the twist on the typical anti-harem structure!!

My Soulmate is a Pastel Goth (And Other Concerns) - Underfell!Papyrus/Reader - Ongoing/Unfinished

Edge is very cute in this and I also feel really bad for him, he's trying so hard but the MC will not give him the time of day ;w;!! I looove me a good tumultuous soulmate fic. (Note: this fic also features Fem!Frisk as Sans’ soulmate in the bg, so if you’re not a fan, that’s something to note ^^! Fr//ans isn’t quite my thing, but tbh I’m really interested in seeing how things turn out here!)

So the first thing you need to know is: Papyrus is dead.

... WAIT WAIT WAIT HEAR ME OUT- this is a really brilliantly written fic about like. SO much fucked up shit happening. The reader is Sans' friend, who he has hired/tasked with guarding the various alternates he has. just straight up imprisoned(?!?!). I avoided this for a while because of the aforementioned Papyrus Being Dead thing, but HOT DAMN I'm glad I read it in the end. Delightfully horrifying, but it gets sweet I swear!!! I would say read the tags but those are Spoilery ;)!

Additional note; the comments section often has Really Interesting dissections of characters and their motivations, which if you're into that (like me) then you should read those too!

I decided to not have a Muse list on this blog anymore. Why? I plan to write as many Genshin Impact & Honkai Star Rail characters as possible (except for the Traveler and Main Trailblazer. I'll write them on my upcoming crack/comedy/slice of life-based multimuse side blog, which I will mention when I fully set it up! It features a select amount of anime/game protagonists!

Instead of my muse list, I made two tier lists: One for Genshin, and the other for HSR, specifying the characters I will write, the ones I might (or might not) write, and the ones I won't write. When I update my tier lists, I'll let you know!

Sporadic. How many responses will I be posting per day? From 1 to 10. If I haven't responded for days that turned into weeks or longer, it's for one, or more than one, of these reasons:

My internet is playing hard to get. Not to mention that it has mood swings.

I intend to complete as many drafts as possible before sending them. I could have a high muse for one of my characters today, but in the next few hours, my hyperfixation moves to another one!

Real life beckons for me. This includes my daily missions, university matters, online jobs with relatives, and circumstances that happen beyond my control!

I often play Genshin & HSR, or even watch analysis videos, to unwind and research my characters. DM me for my Genshin & HSR UIDs! I play on Asia in Genshin, and EU in HSR!

I. Requirements:

1- Mutual respect is a must! Let's be kind to one another! 2- SFW content only! This blog is minor-friendly! 3- Roleplay in threads, not DMs! The latter is for plotting!

II. Expectations:

1- Plot/no plot? I'm okay with either, but plotting is recommended! 2- OCs, canon characters and duplicates? Hit me up!! 💙 3- I won't rush you, so please don't rush me either! 4- One-liners or multi-para? I'll match with you to the best of my ability!

III. Triggers

1- Graphic blood, gore & smut 2- Extremely dark themes

IV. Unfollowing if...

If you force me to write a ship with you, or if you are desperate to write smut with me, unfollowing you is the lowest I can do. However, if the forced ship is illegal, then I’ll give you a hard block.

V. General

1- No godmodding, and don't be passive either! 2- We need to communicate! This is crucial when it comes to plotting, our limitations and triggers, general things! 3- I write using third person, usually past tense with an omnipresent perspective. Can you please do the same, so that it's consistent? Use decent grammar also. Please and thank you! 4- We need to have a basic knowledge of the character(s) we play if they're canon. 5- You can reply to me whenever, and we can continue where we left off!

Q: What are alternates?

A: Prompts you can slot in to any day instead of that days official prompt in case you don’t like it or don’t know what to do! You can use all of them, some, or none! Hell you can even use both official prompts and alternates, go crazy!

Q: Do I have to do all seven days?

A: Only do as much as you want to! The rules are pretty open here, you’re make as much or as little for any prompt. Whether that be all of them, some of them, or even just one.

Q: What can I make?

A: Whatever you want! Fan art, fan fic, edits, gifs, or anything else fandom related you can think of. As long it’s inspired by the prompt and about Holloweane anything goes.

Q: How do I post?

A: Anything posted to tumblr will be rebolgged here on the Holloweane wee blog, but you can post it anywhere. If you want me to see it for sure then be sure to tag this blog, and my main blog @tapestryoftrauma too! a little something fun about the transition from reddit to tumblr

i worldbuild. that’s me hobby. my notes app is all a load of random bullshit. i think of a world idea and then i do notes on it. i think of a fiction idea and i do notes on it. i think of any fun thing and i write nonsense notes on it

on reddit, whenever you shared that shit, it had to be presentable. you needed to be good at worldbuilding AND adept at photoshop. if it looks ugly, gtfo amateur. so i never bothered sharing, i mean, i shared a few things but at my low-medium skill level with graphic design n shit it always took me a lot of effort to do it up, and i never could be bothered to give the amount of effort it took me

so i kept it all to myself and my notes app turned into an unreadable apocrypha that made sense only to me. who gives a shit. nobody’s gonna read it

then spez spezzed everywhere and r/196 became #196. i can share anything i want here! the community is far more personal and personable, and text posts are okay here. it’s not that the bar is lower, but that the bar is more accessible. you don’t need to create a massive .psd every time you want to share some creativity, just share it! and i do, i write stuff for tumbr and put it out there and love doing it, and i’ll fucking do it again

but, my biggest projects, my most proud worlds, were all created when i was closed off, for me only. i’d love to share them to tumbr. but they’re fucking unreadable. even though it’s far more accessible i’d have to edit it into a readable, presentable format and guide people through it better, which it very much was not built to do. it’s like ancient manuscripts. you’d need a rosetta stone. it is not for human consumption. the FSA classes it as toxic waste

so yeah. i have some good shit waiting for you. maybe one day you’ll get to see it when i actually edit it and type it up, but don’t count on anything, because, ykno, severe chronic depressive

I’ve been wondering for a few days, are there any examples in history of bisexual directly being referred to as an umbrella/general term and that pansexuality falls under it?

hi! so yeah, there are some. i have a pansexual history carrd (google doc) that has a section specific to bisexual’s history of including other mspec labels (google doc), but i’ve compiled some sources here for you.

→ in janet bode’s 1976 book view from another closet: exploring bisexuality in women, not every woman interviewed for the book actually identified as bi—one woman listed a bunch of labels that she’d be fine with being called, one of which was pansexual.

→ pansexuals were in attendance at a 1989 bisexual conference, as described in an issue of bi women quarterly.

→ the “bi-lexicon” in thomas geller’s 1990 book bisexuality: a reader and sourcebook included pansexual (and pansensual).

→ in the 1995 book edited by naomi s. tucker, bisexual politics: theories, queries, and visions, liz a. highleyman described bisexuals as “bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, multisexual, just sexual, androgynous, genderfucked, bi-gendered, non-gendered, gender-indifferent, or don’t label me human beings.”

→ the bisexual magazine that the bisexual manifesto came from, anything that moves, stated in 1996 that they were “interested in work by bi/pan/or-similar-sexuals” in their call for submissions.

→ in a 1999 issue of bisexual magazine anything that moves, liz a. highleyman stated “whether you call yourself bisexual, polysexual, multisexual, pansexual, me-sexual or refuse to be labeled altogether, if you are like me and find people attractive regardless of their sex or gender, then we need you.”

→ in robyn ochs’ 2001 bisexual resource guide, an ann arbor bisexual group was listed as being for “bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, multisexual, bi-affectional folks.”

→ the introduction to robyn ochs and sarah e. rowley's 2005 book getting bi: voices of bisexuals around the world stated, “some identify as queer, pansexual, or omnisexual. [...] in fact, as we debated possible titles, we considered subtitling this book ‘voices of bisexuals and other folks along the sexuality spectrum,’ recognizing that the word bisexual cannot possibly encompass all whose identities challenge the binaries of gay and straight.”

→ the introduction to the 2005 book bi men: coming out every which way by ron jackson suresha and pete chvany stated “bisexuality itself has infinite flavors—omnisexual, polyamorous, queer, pansexual, bi-curious, asexual, trisexual (‘i’ll try anything!’), bi-friendly, ambisexual, heteroflexible, transgendered, intersex, metasexual, and multisexual.”

→ pansexuals were in attendance at bisexual meetings, as described in a 2008 issue of bi women quarterly, which also stated it’s good for mspec people of different labels to “feel a sense of community through some unifying term,” referring to bisexual.

→ ellyn ruthstrom described a 2009 bi conference in bi women quarterly and stated, “i took the opportunity to ask a whole bunch of people who went to a conference with bisexual in the title more about how they identify,” and listed all the labels attendees used, pansexual among them.

→ georgia garvey in the 2011 article “bi times” stated “queer, hetero-flexible, homo-flexible, pansexual, omnisexual, and bisensual” are “all members of the bi family.”

→ a blog post from shiri eisner in 2011 included a graphic of an umbrella labeled bisexual with all the different labels that are under it, one of which was pansexual.

→ in bi women quarterly in 2011, shiri eisner described the 10th international conference on bisexuality in london and said, “being able to experience a space dedicated to the bisexual community, full of bisexual, pansexual and queer people was deeply heartening for me.”

→ in a 2011 issue of bi women quarterly, ellyn ruthstrom described a bi workshop “exploring the variety of identifiers that the bi community uses to name ourselves, from bi, fluid, pansexual, omnisexual, pomosexual and more.”

→ shiri eisner said in her 2013 book bi: notes for a bisexual revolution, “recently the word bisexual has been assigned a new use with increasing popularity—that of an umbrella term for multiple bi-spectrum identities” and listed pansexual among said identities.

now, i know that not all of these examples explicitly discuss bisexual as an umbrella/general term (those kind of direct conversations happen more recently, from 2013 and on, as the term itself is more recent), but it’s very clear that the concept of bisexual being a term/community many different labels and people are included in is very much not new, and that this is the understanding in the examples i’ve given where that conversation isn’t explicitly discussed.

my carrd/google doc for sources on the bisexual community including/welcoming all mspec folks is much more detailed and includes examples that go beyond ones that specifically mention pansexual—there are some that mention other mspec labels, some that don't mention any specific labels but discuss the conversations and debates about labels, and some still that are just examples of bisexual content/events including or just mentioning other mspec labels, all showing that the bisexual community, in a broad sense, has never tried to enforce bisexual as the only mspec label and has never been an exclusive club that requires use of bisexual in order to enter.

1. this will be an entirely sfw event! i won’t police what’s going on on the blog you choose to participate with (so using a blog that contains nsfw is fine) but please do not use my prompts to create nsfw content.

2. all plagiarism will be strictly forbidden for the purposes of this event. heavily referencing art or fanfic and the unauthorised use of anybody’s fanart for a video edit, moodboard, etc will not be prompted for this event. please do not use anyone’s art without both PERMISSION and CREDIT. there is never an acceptable circumstance to do this.

3. please respect all other entries! if i find out about anyone trolling or leaving hate comments they will be banned from participating in the event.

4. “problematic” content such as incest, age gap, shota/lolli is absolutely banned and not supported for this event. ya nasties.

5. poly ship content (featuring kaito and rantaro in a relationship with other characters) will be allowed and encouraged! however do make sure that kaito and rantaro are dating EACH OTHER, not just existing as metamours or something.

6. cis genderbends will not be allowed for this event. however, all trans headcanons including trans genderbends will be allowed and boosted.

7. late entries will be accepted indefinitely! please feel free to use the prompts whenever you can however you can and i will boost your work so long as you tag me. :)

8. you are free to take loose inspiration from the prompts or even not use the prompts at all if it suits you. if you drop a piece and label it for amamota week (and it follows my guidelines) i will boost it. heh.

9. aus and crossovers will be accepted!

10. this ship event is focusing on the ROMANTIC relationship between kaito and rantaro, and as such content featuring them in a friendship will not be promoted. however queerplatonic amamota content will be boosted.

Ingot bleeding through bandages on the wheel, I think that would be cool with Mika and Sam, whichever one is bleeding is up to you!

I have too many ideas for this! Here's one but I think I'll do a follow-up to it soon!

I really wanted to post this for Halloween, but I didn't have time to edit at all. So the real horror will be my typos!

Bleeding Out

What is says on the tin: warnings for graphic depictions of blood and gore

Mika hates when it’s her job to stay behind The house feels hollow when they’re not home. So, she sits in the front lawn, worrying the red string tied around her finger while she fails to read the book flopped open in the grass in front of her.

Suddenly the string pulls taught. Mika’s body tenses.

I have to get inside. The spell is strongest there.

The book is abandoned as Mika sprints to the front door and yanks it open. The second her feet cross the threshold she’s shouting

“Raestrao! Uzaeris! Aomaris! Zecaeru! Izroul!”

Mika blinks away the blinding effects of five strobes of bright white light.

The scene is hauntingly familiar. The lobby floor is painted red with blood. It has a surprisingly strong metallic smell. A scent that Mika now recognizes as demon blood. Five boys-no incubi- are strewn across cool marble. Mika’s stomach churns. She fights the bile rising in her throat through uneven breaths.

For a moment the world stands still, an eerie echo of that fateful day all those years ago.

Then, like a painting come to life, the figures begin to stir. They grunt as they push themselves upright.

Mika lets out a breath she didn’t know she was holding and finally manages to take in the reality of the situation. Matthew is closest to her, rotating his right shoulder and wincing. Mika kneels next to him and prys his left hand from away from his shoulder blade and into her lap. The hoodie underneath is wet with blood, but intact.

Before she can open her mouth to question him, Matthew locks eyes with her and calmly states, “I’m okay. My throwing arm is just tired.” He winces as he tries to lift his right arm, “Okay, maybe bruised…”

She gives him a small smile and helps him to his feet by his good arm. Mika glances around the rest of the room.

James is standing in front of one set of stairs, wiping blood from a cut on his cheek with a handkerchief. As if sensing Mika’s gaze, he turns to look at her. The lenses of his glasses are cracked. He pulls them off his face and frowns at them, before finally making eye contact with Mika and reassuring her, “It’s just a scrape from a bit of this glass—” He gestures with the mangled frames in his hands, “I am fine.”

Mika’s eyes flick to Damien shaking his head as he sits on the floor to her left. His entire right side is covered in blood. Mika falls to her knees in front of him. Damien looks up at her in alarm and his hand comes to the side of his head and comes away bloody. He looks down at his hand confused.

He doesn’t seem to be in pain. Mika notes and then quietly asks, “Is that your blood?”

He shakes his head. His eyes seem a little unfocused, Mika worries.

Suddenly Erik is beside her, his fingers gently trace his brother’s head, neck, and chest. The faintest purple glow emanates from his fingertips. “He’s pretty drained, and I bet feeling a bit whiplashed from the summoning.” Damien’s nod confirms his older brother’s diagnosis. Erik gently pats Damien’s head as he explains, “You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just that he had about a dozen of his shadow clones out, that spell was severed rather suddenly by your summoning.”

Mika nods, then looks over at Erik. His left arm is holding his torso tightly. “Here, let me take a look”, Mika gently pulls at his sleeve.

“Oh I’ll live” Erik complains as he acquiesces, “Just caught a nasty kick to the ribs!”

Mika relaxes a fraction. They heal so fast they’ll probably wake up totally fine in the morning. A small smile pulls at her lips. This is just like that first time. I half expect someone to steal a kiss-

Mika’s face suddenly falls. She’s checked on everyone expect for—

“SAM!”

Her eyes are drawn like magnets to the pool of blood in the middle of the room, in the middle of it lies Sam. Or rather, Aomaris, in full demon form.

“nonononono”, Mika whispers under her breath. Her feet nearly slide out from under her as she sprints through the ever-growing pool of blood. Her knees land heavily at Sam’s side with a sickening splash.

Mika’s hands hover uselessly over the gaping hole in his abdomen. Oh God, his whole liver is gone, and maybe half of that lung. Her fingers twitch midair. It’s so close to his heart. Wait, does she even have a liver? Or any organs?

A thick pad of gauze suddenly lands in her hands, Matthew helps her press it over the wound. His voice shakes, “You hold it there, okay?” Mika nods silently and watches out of the corner of her eye as Matthew pulls out a strange looking sponge and starts soaking up the blood on the floor.

James and Erik are on the other side of Sam barking quickly at each other in Latin. Mika can feel the rapid-fire spells working through the layer of gauze under her hands.

She startles her hands are suddenly wet. “Matthew!”, her voice sounds high and desperate.

Matthew holds and even thicker bandage over Mika’s fingers, “swap in 3, 2, 1.” Mika chucks the soaking wad of gauze onto the floor and presses firmly on the fresh bandage Matthew placed.

A wordless scream suddenly rips its way out of Sam. Mika struggles to hold the compress in place as he writhes. Damien skitters across the floor on all fours, stopping by Sam’s head and clamping it between his hands. Sam suddenly goes limp and Damien rests his head in his lap.

The new gauze is ruined. “Matthew” Mika calls and they repeat the process to switch bandages. After a few seconds she murmurs, “he looks so pale…”

Erik calls for Matthew and he brings over the odd blood-soaked sponge. Erik digs the fingers of one hand into it while the other remains on Sam’s chest. As the blood slowly drains from the sponge, Sam feels incrementally warmer under Mika’s hands.

Damien hisses and holds his head with one hand. Sam moans lowly. James glances at Erik, who nods, before sliding behind Damien. James guides Damien’s hand back down to Sam’s head while resting his cheek on Damien’s hair. Damien slumps back into this brother, letting James fully support his weight while he concentrates on Sam.

“Mika!” Her name snaps her attention back to her hands, they’re so wet she didn’t feel the blood oozing under her fingers. She snatches the soaked bandage away just as Matthew produces a fresh one.

They continue their vigil for some time. Erik speaking in Latin almost continuously, maintaining a number of spells knitting furiously in Sam’s abdomen. James supplying Damien with the energy to keep Sam unconscious while Matthew and Mika swap out bandage after bandage. Matthew tosses the old ones near the sponge in Erik’s hand where they slowly dissolve.

Eventually, Matthew leans his head on Mika’s shoulder in a wordless request for more energy. Mika leans her head onto his in answer. She tries to ignore the new wave of pain as she strains her arms and hands.

Glamor spells flicker out one by one. Damien grimaces as his horns and markings suddenly materialize. James pets his hair soothingly but returns to his true form only a few moments later. Matthew frowns as the next gauze pad he produces is noticeably thinner. He sits up as his horns materialize on the sides of his head and heaves a great sigh before producing another compress.

Erik grits his teeth. Mika’s only familiar with a handful of Latin phrases from her limited knowledge of spells, but she’s pretty sure he’s just cursing now.

Mika resists the urge to twitch her fingers against the uncomfortable sensation as they dry. Dry? She glances at the latest bandage, it’s still white apart from her bloody handprints.

As she looks back up there’s an audible fizzle and then a whoop from Erik, now unglamoured as well, “That’s it! I got it! There’s no more poison!”

There’s a moment of celebration. Everyone with free hands claps Erik on the back. The sense of elation is short-lived as exhaustion rolls quickly in behind it.

James props Sam upright while Mika, Matthew, and Erik quickly tie a bandage around his middle. They manage to lift him and settle him on the couch. James and Erik sit in the arm chairs and quickly fall asleep. Matthew and Damien pass out in a pile on the smaller couch. Mika curls up by the side of the couch and rests her head on the cushion near Sam’s chest.

She doesn’t realize she’s fallen asleep until a movement disturbs her. She opens her eyes to see Sam’s smiling face, “You all look like shit.”
