What changes did they make to Shiki and Ciel's dynamic in remake? (And what do you think of them?)

In the doujin release, Shiki and Ciel start as acquaintances from the same school. No previous opinions. Later, the 17 Pieces incident happens and Ciel's route is unlocked by Shiki immediately accepting the weight of his sin instead of dismissing the outlandish event. Ciel finds him and saves him from his personal darkest hour with some generic Church platitudes about how death isn't atonement and Shiki must make amends with good deeds instead of running away from the burden of his sin.

The payoff to this is Ciel revealing her past as Roa and her ultimate goal of killing Roa as a means to end her undeservedly long life. Shiki (made into the current Roa host) fights back against Ciel and their conflict is solved by him repeating her generic Church platitudes to her, coming from the mouth of the only person whom she can relate to on the trauma of Roa's presence inside them and with the sincerity of someone who internalized her lies, causing Ciel to finally believe her own lessons too.

The main difference in the remake is that instead of Shiki starting off without established options for Ciel's kind schoolgirl volunteer mask, he's much more of a simp, for the lack of a better way to phrase it. The idea of Shiki saving Ciel by engaging earnestly and passionately with the words she didn't sincerely mean changes from the exclusive focus of the important part to something present in every aspect of their relationship, which makes Shiki's status as the only one who personally knows what Ciel's been through less relevant to it.

Ciel always was Shiki's best relationship by a really wide margin and I don't think the Remake's material damaged what made their dynamic work but it did dilute it with a lot of additional threads I feel nothing about. Shiki's new characterization takes some getting used to since he's not this immediately forward and devoted to anyone else. I still love them as a pair, but I can no longer imagine them ending up as the best couple among the six again.

And this general idea of making the girl stop hating herself by showering her mask with love and then showering her true face with the exact same love because the reveal doesn't make Shiki see her as a different person is something that would have worked better with Kohaku.

If anything, I feel like their new dynamic is much more of a benefit to Noel's characterization than to either of the two because Shiki's intense, outspoken, and apparently uncritical affection for Ciel paints him excellently as everything Noel would want for herself. But Rainbow At Night's writing in general is very dedicated to making Noel its best character.

Overall, I feel like I'd been more satisfied if her remade route kept all of their interactions as they were, only removing the attempted NTR subplot by replacing all of Arcueid's screen time with our good Noel content. Have Arc straight up leave believing her job to be done on day 6 after she kills SHIKI, unaware that Roa leaped to the other Toono Shiki. Still leaves with a final boss furiously jealous of Ciel if anyone cared about that, but better because Noel's jealousy has a more meaningful past and extends so much beyond Shiki.

my top 3 ships from WH are currently noelclaire, wilsiri and wilashe!

noelclaire is. pretty self-explanatory? i usually don't like when the writers push a ship, and at first (think like, first 2 scenarios) i didn't think i'd like them at all. but god. these two. the more i saw of them the more i fell in love with the pairing. childhood friends? check. pining? check. would quite literally die for each other? check. the "you're the only one i remember" trope? check. they mean so much to each other your honor (THAT BEING SAID it'd be nice to see noel improve himself and not base his entire selfworth on this one girl he was friends with 10 years ago. but i still love them!!)

wilsiri is just a really casual ship yk? their dynamic is great, their personalities work well together, they have the potential to be a really healthy relationship and i enjoy that a lot. i didn't think too much of them at first but during siri's conclusion i realized how similar they are (both being very reserved but caring people, both growing up with an adoptive grandparent figure, and both deciding that yes, despite our wishes, we want to protect claire) and slowly grew very fond of that pairing. i just want them to chill together tbh:)

finally, i know wilashe is a reaaally popular pairing and i totally get why some people are annoyed with it lol. but i think it's great! i'm not super into enemies (?) to lovers, but. it's about the parallels. and the piano scene. love the piano scene. i'd love to see them travel the world together or something i don't know

okay so yttd. to make my stance on it a bit more clear, i'm not actually into shipping in the canon game. i don't want any pairings to be canon, it seems way too unhealthy. but! i thrive off AUs and post-canon stuff and there are quite a few pairings that i think have an interesting dynamic

the top 3 here is currently naoreko, ransara and alishin (shinalice? i saw people calling it shinalice like last year but i think we switched to the other name since then)

naoreko is 50% projection tbh. shoutout to my partner who'd kin both of the yabusames if they got into the game. but i also just think it's a nice pairing with great, sort-of-opposing aesthetics. their mutual care for each other is something that pushed me towards this ship a lot, as well as the fanon content and the official sketches. aaand i'm a sucker for art lesbian pairings. i think they're neat!

ransara is a hard one... i definitely understand why many people started disliking/simply not loving it anymore after 3B. which is valid! i was kind of heartbroken after logic route too ngl, i got into that ship a few months before the new part came out and literally spent my days waiting for the translation to drop reading fics of them. oops. regardless i still like it, though moreso in AUs/rewrites. i don't think ranmaru's character was handled very well in 3B which i'm very sad about because there was SO MUCH potential!! so i'm clinging onto what it could've been

finally. alishin. i'm not even gonna lie this was literally just projection because my highest yttd kin is shin and my partner is extremely similar to alice:') but also my mutuals helped me get into this one. i just like funny-but-tragic men with shared trauma ig. they should've interacted more

PSO2 Short Review ((a.k.a. What I'm Doing Instead Of Earning My Keep Like I Should))

Note: I've gotten one class to level 20 (Fighter) and have spent some time going through pretty much everything the game has to offer at the moment. I'm writing this because I love PSO2. For the few who actually read what I write or are interested in PSO2 NGS but not reading a small wall of text: Pros: The game is super accessible and easy to play. The tutorial is combined with the story so you can't exactly miss things unless you don't read, in which case things are on you. Pretty fast and smooth but not all that fast so you don't need super sharp reflexes to play. Cons: The game is new and thus lacking in content. It doesn't mean you don't really have anything to do, it just means that if you don't like running around in circles killing mobs and doing the occasional UQ, there isn't much to do beyond the story, which is really short at the moment.

So PSO2 NGS is finally out and base PSO2 is there, with a lot of blocks removed as most of the population having moved to NGS. With the new game, classes have been revamped and mechanics adjusted, resulting in a significantly more accessible game.

🍀GAMEPLAY:

As the years rolled by, SEGA made PSO2 gradually faster, more mobile, in comparison to it's predecessor. NGS is a full embrace of this direction. "Just" mechanics ((Perfectly time your attacks or Guard for more benefits)) have been removed and classes feel sleek and agile. Even Hunter, a class known for being boring but practical, feels responsive to the touch. And not only do classes get revamped, weapons do as well. Weapons have Weapon Actions ((skills that don't cost PP, this game's mana)), Photon Arts/Techniques ((skills that cost PP)) and these have been adjusted. Some, such as the Knuckles, have had their PAs combined, cutting down a lot of bloat and making the weapon significantly easier and more fun to pilot than before. Others, such as the Talis, received such a great overhaul that they have become unrecognizable.

The gameplay is, to put simply, fun. Amazing.

HOWEVER:

Regardless of what class you play, you're expected to pull your weight and do damage however, so for players who like the idea of sitting back and buffing their team mates rather than participate in combat ((for whatever reason)), this may not be suitable for you.

Please note that while the Trinity ((Tank-Healer-DPS)) that is present in a lot of MMOs is ((happily)) absent here and everyone is expected to deal damage, classes such as Hunter, Ranger, Force and Techer have skills that provide some measure of utility, such as making yourself more likely targeted ((Hunter)), making your healing items AoE ((Force and Techer)) or applying a debuff to enemies ((Ranger)) or buffing your allies ((Techer)).

🍀CHARACTER BUILDING:

The subclass mechanic is still around, but this time it does feel a lot more freestyle. While some classes don't work well as a subclass still, due to SEGA's insistence on some things being Main Class only ((particularly affected is Techer, the "support class".)), most class combinations are really good. Gone are the days when Hunter was the universal subclass. With new class passives focusing on different things, alongside the new Multi-Weapon mechanic, there's a bit more depth to choosing your subclasses now. It isn't ridiculously deep and hard to choose mind you, and the fact that you can change your class combinations at any time certainly helps, but there's just enough that you can sit there and weigh the pros and cons.

🍀 GRAPHICS: The graphics too are beautiful, but they came at the cost of gutting the original PSO2. While I'm happy that they've toned down the particle effects significantly, I think they messed with the lighting a bit much, resulting in a significantly duller world. Which is a shame in my opinion, I've always loved how PSO2 looked. Personally thought the game looked great for it's age.

Fashion, or Phashion is still a thing for those ((myself included)) interested.

🍀STORY:

With regards to the story, I'd say that it's pretty predictable at the moment. Admittedly it's just the prologue, so there's a lot they can do with it but I won't say that I'm particularly hooked at the moment.

🍀ISSUES TO CONSIDER: The game uses Battlepower, a measuring stick based on your class level, skills and gear all mixed up for some silly number. I was able to join a UQ despite being 5 levels lower, thus dealing quite a lot less damage to the boss, because I had enough Battlepower through upgrading my gear.

With Skill Points being separate from levels, there's no real reason for the level cap to increase. While this is usually a good thing in my opinion, SEGA is bound to increase the level cap because that's easy "content".

((While some MMO players will now go "but Noel it's tradition and we like big numbers", I'll still say that it's arse and there are better ways of giving players more "power" which I'll discuss some other time.))

I feel like Skills, PAs and Techniques will likely be locked behind levels, assuming that they do go this route. Such unlocks are generally unrewarding and while I am used to games being less rewarding ((as I'm used to much older games such as Lunar 2)), I simply think that grinding levels for the sake of levels is dull.

Gear with extra affixes/traits are a bit brow raising as this may affect crafting or buying gear from token merchants.

I don’t remember exactly when I created this blog... either February or March of this year. I created it mainly with just the intention of following people, and partaking of your beautiful content, but I couldn’t shut my mouth up haha! But I love interacting with the people in this fandom! 🤗

Eh? I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either! I’m certainly going to give it a chance and get to know the characters before I can give a real opinion. My main problem is how young they all look haha I’m old! 👵🏻 but I will wait to pass judgement until I have started playing!

do you watch any litg playthroughs?

I did see Cody and noels, Presley convinced me to watch it. I did enjoy even if I wanted to throw hands when they came for Bobby hahaha

I have played so many! Well I have played too many to count Bobby routes, but I have also done henrik, kassam, and Lucas.

I have done a partial run through of Gary, Noah, and Ibrahim. But never finished. 🙈 I love all 3 of those guys, but I can never finish their routes! There is too much drama and nonsense on their routes and I get frustrated and end up back in the arms of Bobby 🥰🥰

Witch’s Heart: Observations and Theories (SPOILERS)

Warning: SPOILERS! Also, super long post.

I just went through a long binge playing Witch’s Heart (and jeez the game is long), and GOD ITS SO ENGROSSING! I couldn’t stop til I finished, and there’s still more to come! One last ‘bonus scenario’, apparently, along with characters’ pasts (though I already have a few theories).

Throughout though, I couldn’t help but wonder about certain things (and can you blame me?! There’s still so much we don’t know!). And notice other things. For simplicity’s sake, I’ll call each scenario from the order they are presented: 1 (Ashe’s), 2 (Wilardo’s), 3 (Sirius’), 4 (Noel’s).

Observations

Continuity

At first, I was under the impression that each ‘To be continued’ at the end of each scenario led to a separate continuity. However, in 4, we learn that they all take place within the same chronology:

So, it’s entirely possible that the TBC at the end of Ashe’s scenario refers to Wilardo’s scenario, and TBC at the end of Wilardo’s to Sirius’, and so on... Perhaps the last scenario will take place directly after Noel’s scenario? We’ll see! Also, Rouge is the one initiating the timeloops at Noel’s request. Speaking of which, she seems much more helpful (and nicer?) than the other demons who all seem to be out to sabotage Noel (particularly the two haters, and Lime in general). I wonder why?

Death Tallies

Ever notice that regardless of the scenario, who dies and who lives (though Wilardo’s status is debatable) are always the same? In every scenario, both Sirius and Claire die. Ashe, regardless of whether or not he obtains the Witch’s Heart, lives. For Wilardo, it would depend on whether or not his wish is granted (see below for what his wish might be). Even then, he’s never marked dead in the credits. Noel, naturally, never dies.

Misc.

Did ya know Wilardo is actually the shortest (5′6′’, 169cm) guy of ‘em all?? xD Considering the tallest (Noel at 5′11′’, 182cm), he’s practically a chibi! Bwahahahaha! And here I thought he’d be the tall and intimidating kind of guy...

Theories

Bad End: How’d it happen?

If we choose to trade rooms with Ashe, Sirius ends up killing Ashe in Claire’s original room. However, according to Sirius, Ashe attacked him first. At first, I thought that Sirius was simply lying, but what if he’s actually telling the truth? Ashe did attack Sirius for some reason, but why?

If we choose not to trade rooms, we later see Sirius come to Claire’s room to retrieve the diary.

We can assume in the bad end, Sirius does the same thing as well. Except, he finds Ashe there instead, who attacks him, and Sirius ends up killing him (oh the irony)

In Ashe’s scenario, Ashe does eventually comes to browse the books in Claire’s room. He asks about the space where the diary used to be, but doesn’t make much of a fuss. Nothing notable happens.

As far as I can see, the only difference in Claire’s room is the presence of the diary. In the bad end, Ashe could have read the diary, and more importantly, seen this photo:

In Ashe’s scenario, we can see that when they are telling ghost stories and Sirius attacks him for insulting Dorothy, Ashe is remarkably spiteful.

Yes, yes... if you’ve completed the game, we all know he can be quite heartless (particularly in murdering poor Claire), but this is still quite unusual behaviour from him. It feels as if - dare say - he has a grudge against Dorothy. (I wonder if it’s related to his family?)

If he did read the diary, he would have realised that Sirius was related to Dorothy (even if he did not know how). So, when Sirius came in, he attacked him. Out of paranoia, or maybe even revenge, perhaps?

Ashe’s Wish

In the scenarios where Ashe obtains the Witch’s Heart, he never gets his wish. This implies it is a positive wish. It’s not really specified what can be counted as “positive”, but we know from the ending of Ashe’s scenario that bringing someone back to life is positive. And at the end of Noel’s scenario, he does say this:

And at the end of Wilardo’s scenario, Wilardo finds this photo on Ashe:

Alright, it might just be a coincidence that all the faces except for Ashe’s are covered by blood. But what if it’s a hint? What if Ashe’s family is actually dead, and his wish is bring them back to life? It’s just too bad that the demons will never grant such a wish.

(Also, are those even his real parents? Ashe and his sister share the same hair color but his parents do not. It’s more clear in the monochrome version:

...uh, maybe they are adopted?)

Wilardo’s Wish

At the beginning of Wilardo’s route, he mentions being cursed with “a curse worse than death”.

...You know what that sounds like? Yeah, Wilardo’s immortal. And we can see that later, when Ashe kills (or tries to) Wilardo. He bashes his head in, shoots him repeatedly... and then he gets up like it’s nothing. Wilardo can’t die, even if he wants to. His wish is to die, and in the endings where he gets the Witch’s Heart, it is granted (wishing for death is definitely negative), as all that’s left is sand:

...though the sand does make me wonder how long has he been alive. That turning-into-sand kind of thing’s usually only reserved for really, really long lives...

Well, there’s still a lot of stuff I have questions about, and so many more theories! Of course, I’d like to hear ‘em if you have any yourself!

...I admit, where it ended left me quite unsatisfied! Though what left me most unsatisfied is Ashe... Geez! I know lots of people hate on him, but I just can’t, dangit. He’s still my favourite character after Claire. All this theorizing is actually somewhat therapeutic... til the day I can finally write some fanfiction (likely never :c).

Much loved and misunderstood in equal measures, Kasabian are still the band your mother warned you about.

Back in 1998, when Tom Meighan was 17 years old, he stepped out onto the stage of The Shed in Leicester in front of a group of friends and family and began Kasabian’s first ever gig as though he were headlining Glastonbury. “I remember hiding behind the stairs and then appearing like it was some fucking [arena]. That’s the level my head was at then,” he recalls. “It was all our mates in the crowd, so everyone’s gonna tell you you’re good. But we knew we were good anyway. We knew we had something special.” Fast forward 16 years and four Number One records later to 2014, and Kasabian were headlining Glastonbury for real. This month, now with yet another Number One (current LP ‘For Crying Out Loud’) to add to the tally, they’ll headline Reading & Leeds for the second time. Tonight, they’re headlining Glasgow’s TRNSMT to 50,000 people. Taking top billing alongside Radiohead and hometown heroes Biffy Clyro, theirs is the only day to sell out.

Undeniably, Kasabian are one of the biggest bands in the country, sitting in a top tier cohabited by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Muse and very few else. It’s a mountain they’ve scaled while being hit with endless criticisms along the way – for their lyrics, their ethos, their entire ‘schtick’; surely no other band of their stature has received such a media mauling as Tom, co-conspirator Serge Pizzorno and bandmates Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews. But through it all, Kasabian have always had two indisputable weapons in their arsenal: a world class live show capable of silencing even the most po-faced of doubters, and a twinkle of the eye that suggests they’re forever having twenty times more fun than any grumbling muso slagging them off. “We’re a big band. We sell albums. People don’t like it, that’s the way it is,” intones Tom, plainly. “We’ve never been arse-licked; we’ve grafted, me and Serge, to where we’ve got. Everyone hated us when we came out and we’re still here. I don’t regret any of [our choices]. It’s all tongue in cheek, you know? That’s the whole point, isn’t it?”

Our whirlwind 36 hours within the Kasabian machine begins the night before at Glasgow’s O2 Academy. The band have hired out the venue for a final rehearsal and, despite their flights from Estonia being cancelled the night before, meaning a time-consuming re-routing and a police escort to get them on a train to the city, they’re trucking on regardless. Flight cases emblazoned with the group’s logo fill up the venue and two delivery drivers bearing stacks of pizza boxes higher than their heads arrive to fuel the touring party; when the band appear just before 9pm, Serge recalls how he was bottled the last time they played here, requiring six stitches and leaving bloodied hand prints down the dressing room corridor walls. It’s fair to say that almost everything in Kasabian’s orbit is bigger and madder and more quote-worthy than normal life.

Their reasons for tonight’s additional run through, however, are impressively un-starry. Kasabian don’t like to go into a gig cold - “We’re trying to get this collective mass of people and take them somewhere, but if we have three or four days off, I feel like it takes half a set to get there,” explains Serge. “Whereas now I think, well, we were here last night so we just carry on” - and so for two hours, on the eve of one of their summer’s biggest shows, they play some of this decade’s most hedonistic hits to a handful of non-plussed roadies in an empty room. There’s possibly none more fitting a picture of Kasabian’s strange dichotomy – excessive and purposefully ridiculous yet grounded and down to earth – than watching them blast through a live karaoke version of ultimate sesh anthem ‘Fire’ (Tom’s ducked out by this point) to precisely no-one.“The thing is though, we really care,” enthuses Serge the next day, red roses stitched onto his tracksuit as he lounges with a cup of tea back in the band’s country house hotel. “There’s a responsibility when you’re at the top of the bill to end the night on a massive fucking high, and we’ve built a reputation for that. Anyone who’s indifferent to us and doesn’t get it, misses the jokes and misses the point, they see it live and at the end of the gig they understand. It’s really important to us that people go away thinking…” He pauses. “Well, we try and change your life.”While Tom bats away any mention of the band’s detractors with the dismissive attitude of a man who genuinely doesn’t give a shit (“Nah. Done it. Can’t do anything else. Headlined Glastonbury; got six albums; probably do another 10 more. That’s how it is”), Serge is more frustrated by people’s frequent misconceptions of his band. It’s indicative of the yin-yang personality types at the heart of the duo.

In conversation, Tom is gregarious and hyperactive, with the attention span of a six-year-old on Christmas Day. He says exactly what he thinks and is already distracted by the next thing before you’ve even processed the answer. Serge, meanwhile, is a generous conversationalist, ruminating in depth on any topic he’s given. On stage, Tom, says his bandmate, has been “exactly the same from day one. He was quite a powerful character [even] at school; he’d walk into the year area and you could tell his presence.” Serge, however, has only more recently come to embrace the thrill of the stage. “I didn’t feel the need to be Freddie Mercury - that compulsion some people have to perform,” he explains. “But there was a moment when I realised I can just fuck about. I think about what I can get away with to make the other lads laugh in front of all these people. It’s ridiculous standing on stage, so you should embrace it.” But while Tom and Serge might come from different angles, both have always been united in the pursuit of fun and playfulness, of keeping things just that little bit silly. During the campaign for 2014 LP ‘48:13’, they performed backed by a series of flashing slogans including ‘Free Deirdre’ and ‘Maggot Munch’. When they headlined Glastonbury, their only ‘special guest’ was pal Noel Fielding dressed as a cartoon vampire. Joyously irreverent, theirs is a humour entrenched as much in a Young Ones-esque tradition of eccentric British comedy as one of boisterous British bands. That’s the bit that so many people seem to struggle with. “One of the most frustrating things is when people miss the humour. There’s so much piss taking in everything we do,” begins Serge. “We’re in on the joke, that’s the thing that people don’t seem to understand.” The oft-quoted stereotype, we suggest, is of Kasabian as a kind of real life Spinal Tap, dialling up the rock’n’roll cliché to 11… “It’s that middle class, apologetic, broadsheet opinion,” he replies, getting slightly rattled by the thought. “Kings of Leon: that’s Spinal Tap. Kanye getting stuck on a fucking digger truck at Glastonbury: that’s Spinal Tap. I mean, hearing Kanye singing Freddie Mercury out of tune at Glastonbury is as Spinal Tap as anything anyone else has ever done, so… it’s rich, is what I’m saying. The parody and the ridiculousness of being in a band is all nonsense. It doesn’t matter what kind of band you’re in; it’s all nonsense.”

Back in the early days, around 2004’s self-titled debut, Serge admits that Kasabian embraced all the “nonsense” rather a lot more. “We didn’t think it was gonna last longer than one album, so we decided that we were gonna experience everything we could,” he grins, with the look of a man who’s seen a few detention slips in his time. “We’d turn up to festivals and just fucking go through people. Run in dressing rooms, off our fucking heads – honestly, we were so fucked. No-one liked us. We were just fucking horrible little shits, which was perfect. I love The Stooges and those kinds of bands… We wanted everyone to fucking hate us. It was great. It’s all part of the show.” If social media had existed back then, he notes, “it would have been disgusting”. Now, both Tom and Serge are fathers and in their mid-30s. Five albums after releasing the debut they thought would be their only record, they’ve settled into a space surprisingly far down the other end of the rockstar bullshit spectrum. Say what you want about the on-stage swagger and lairy bangers, but underneath it all Kasabian have kept remarkably grounded. “That’s the thing, we’re just not fucking like that. We live in Leicester with all our families and all our pals and that’s because we saw through the fakeness from day one,” Serge shrugs. “You could reel off the people who’ve turned into dicks and that’s fucked them, but that’s just not us. We saw through it. How can I write music for the people that I relate to if I’m not around them? 50,000 people aren’t gonna relate if I stand around with a load of supermodels opening envelopes. No one gives a fuck about that guy.”

Cut to later that evening and 50,000 people are most certainly giving all the fucks. Having spent the hour before stage time blasting out Beatles songs and milling among a small and unanimously entertaining group of pals including Trainspotting legend Robert Carlyle and a perma-sunglasses wearing old friend only known as The Turtle, Kasabian take to the TRNSMT stage to a deafening roar. “It’s about anticipation, it’s like a boxing match,” notes Tom about the build up to stage time. “We’re like monkeys in a cage, and it’s my job to rattle the cage. I go from Clark Kent to Superman. BANG - like that.” The set, as always, is huge and cathartic and powerful; a 90-minute, all-consuming escape from reality that has the entire field uniformly losing their minds in unison. To paraphrase Serge’s own words previously, even if you don’t get it before, by the end of the gig you’ll understand.Off stage, enjoying a post-show beverage or two, we notice that Serge is wearing not one, but three identical gold Casio watches up his arm. The theory, he explains with that twinkle in his eye, is that casually observed on stage, they’ll look like a standard bit of bling. “But then when you look closer…” he chuckles, with a wink. It’s exactly the kind of weird and wonderful thought process that characterises the songwriter and his band of childhood pals. Some people will scoff and chalk it up as another example of the band’s rockstar buffoonery, but Kasabian have always known it’s far more fun, having a laugh down here with the people. “I genuinely just think life’s too short,” smiles Serge. “The odds of any of this happening. I mean, just to be born in this country alone, you’re already dreaming - then to have the life I’ve had. So I figure, I’ve been given this, and I can’t explain why, but man, I’m going out in a blaze of glory. And I figure if I worry and hide, then what a waste. I’m gonna have the fucking time of my life on that stage. I’m gonna have it so big. And maybe that’s what people see in us? Like, you know what? They’re living it.”

Please note, I DO NOT play vampires or werewolves. I don’t mind roleplaying with them, but I personally do not like playing them. If you want to do a plot that is vampire or werewolf based, you have to play those species.

Fire Emblem Awakening.

I’ll die of happiness if you’d like to do m!tacticianxChrom. I’m looking for a Chrom. I can also play m!Morgan, Lucina, and a couple others. Let’s chat about it. I have a couple AU ideas, considering, well, you know how Fire Emblem is. There’s a war, let’s go fight the war!

Fire Emblem Fates. This, here, is what I’m craving the most.

I’ve played all three paths, but prefer Conquest and Revelation. I want to play Corrin. (Male.) and am open to ships. (As long as they’re mxm and fxf.) I’m mostly looking for a Xander (!!! Boy, I want Xander the most. Xander/Corrin happens to be my otp.), Leo (!!), Takumi (!), or Silas. I also ship Selena and Camilla. (I play Selena.) I like AUs and doubling, so I’m sure we can figure something out. I am also leokumi trash and can play either… though I’d rather do Corrin/Leo and Corrin/Takumi. I also like Sakura/Elise! (Slight preference toward Sakura.) I much prefer AUs and am willing to hash something out with you. No OCs for this. Sorry.

The first thing I’m looking for is a Sorey to my Mikleo. My kingdom for these two babies who are too pure for this world. The second thing I’m looking for a Richard to my Asbel and kinda have some vague ideas for this! I also roleplay Tales of cross overs and have a vague idea for that, too. I would also love a Gaius for my Wingul. Can discuss other Tales pairings, will be fine with ocs if you’ll afford me the same. I’ve played all of the Tales of games released in the US EXCEPT for Eternia and Vesperia. That doesn’t mean you can’t play these characters! I’m totally down for Asch/OC and will try and accommodate you as well. I also recently bought Tales of Berseria. I’m only about 40ish hours into it, so no spoilers!

The World Ends With You

I’m looking for a Link and am looking to do a brand new Zelda roleplay where we split the cast and have fun times~! I have a male oc. There doesn’t need to be romance, but I would like there to be. I can play Ravio, Zelda, humanized Sidon, Revali (maybe), or Midna for one of your ocs, if you’d like. With Breath of the Wild out, I’d be happy to do something similar to that, too.

Devil Survivor 2

. I want to play the main character (Hibiki/Hiro/MC) against a Yamato LIKE BURNING Also, Shin Megami Tensei IV, I’d love a Flynn/Walter chaos route roleplay where I play Flynn.

Kingdom Hearts

. I kind of want to do an all-original setting with new Keyblade wielders, new villains and everything. We’d each play a keyblade wielder or something and fill out the cast. If you’re not up for that, I do love SoraxRiku–I’ll be playing Sora. (I love this ship with my whole heart.)

Final Fantasy

. I’m cool with most things here. Some characters I play are Lightning (my favorite), Cecil Harvey, Yuna, Cloud Strife, Kadaj, Vanille, Terra Branford, Garnet til Alexandros/Dagger, Bartz, Faris, Noel Kreiss, Ramza (Tactics), and some others here and there. Some of the ships I play are Lightning/adult!Hope (I play Lightning and have some au ideas for this), Zack/Cloud (I play Cloud), Tidus/Yuna (I play Yuna), Fang/Vanille (I play Vanille. I’ll also play Fang/Lightning), Zidane/Garnet, Cecil/Kain (Cecil) etc. There are others. I’ve played almost every Final Fantasy except the online ones, so just ask. There are a few canons I play that I’ll pair with ocs, like Noel Kreiss for example. This is probably the only place you’ll catch me for mxf. I would really love a Ramza for one of my ocs as well? Like I said, I’ll play certain canons for you, too! … or maybe just something with Final Fantasy Tactics in general.

7x11 Play Time Thoughts (REWATCH)

I’m rewatching Playtime to uncover some clues that I may have missed and something Hanna said stuck out to me. When the girls are talking about Jenna and Noel having a connection to Charlotte and Archer, Hanna says that connected doesn’t equals a motive. So, what If we are finally getting a non-family related twist. What if this quote means that the person isn’t actually avenging Charlotte or is connected to her in anyway? Hanna has a point, if AD was someone who has connections to Charlotte it could be any of the liars. Could even be Ali

- I know Hanna got kidnapped by AD but she’s way more salty than usual. And i don’t know wether to rule this out or not. But in the intro for the episode, Hanna does the ‘Shh’ Does this mean anything at all? Aria looks really guilty but then side eyes Spencer??? And Alison sides eyes Hanna?? So, I don’t know what to make of this.

- Is that Mary Drakes house Spencer is at when she’s looking through the letter box? There’s a lot of mail there that looks as if it has been there for weeks. So, how long has it been since Spencer got released and Mary vanished? Where is Mary? Why is there a bell? I’m so confused.

- Ezra returns just as Aria tries to leave. That’s really suspicious to me. I want Aria to tell Ezra that she saw him on TV with Nicole.

- Caleb and Hanna talking about Jenna, and Hanna thinking that Jenna is AD and then Caleb is all 'let me worry about Jenna’ and it cuts to Paige. Is this scene being shown after to foreshadow that maybe Jenna isn’t the one they need to worry about.. Paige is. Why would they bring back Paige just to spark a fire in Alison? To show us that Ali is the same person

- How do we know for sure that Alison is actually pregnant? We haven’t seen a test result, we weren’t shown her doctors appointment. Are we seriously expected to take her word for it? I’ve never trusted Alison.

- “Of all the things that happen in this time, those two get taken out by a deer.” *Sips tea* I’m still speculating Ezra, I mean he was out of town because of Nicole, Yes, but whose to say he didn’t cause this accident? Or for someone else to cause it. The Bethany twin theory works here too as Bethany would probably want Toby out of the way. We were never shown the accident. We never saw a deer CAUSE the accident

- Why are they making a point of sending Aria the text and having her make an entrance into Spencer’s barn? Is this relevant? They could have just cut to a scene of the girls in Spencer’s barn or had one of the others walk in? Why Aria specifically.

- Secret Passageway??? To where? Is this meant to represent how Mona snuck out of Radley??? Also, Who do we know that would have the ability and technology to create the game board? Caleb and Lucas. They made a point of telling us that Lucas designs apps and we have seen Caleb’s technical skills. Combining those two characters would make this game board. How does it motion sense whose playing?

- So the game is called 'Liars Lament’ and Lament stands for grief or sorrow. This could refer to avenging of Charlotte’s death OR making the liars take on tasks that reference something that connects to them emotionally and then they are rewarded for it. So Spencer’s task was to visit Toby. Why would it be to visit Toby? Perhaps Spencer feels guilty for the accident with Yvonne in a comma when she kissed Toby (Even though, it seems like her possibly twin kissed Toby) and she was rewarded with a letter from Mary dated back in the Radley days.

- @badassmona pointed out where each outfit the figurines are wearing are from. So, I took a little look at the episodes and I found some interesting things;

Spencer - 5x24 - This is the episode where Hanna and Alison are both in jail and it’s the day of Alison’s trial. Alison gets sentenced to being guilty for murder in the first degree. At the end of this episode, Charlotte is playing with a toy bus that resembles one of those prisoner truck things.. and she takes out a brunette figurine. Did this represent Mona? Or Spencer? Is this supposed to make us suspect Spencer?

Hanna - Hanna is dressed the most elaborate and her outfit wasn’t exactly matching to an outfit she’s worn on the show so I don’t really know how to evaluate it. Whoever, this person is sees Hanna as a fashion forward individual

Aria - 1x11; So Hanna is in hospital and Ezra shows Aria the 'I see you’ message on the back of his car. The episode before, Aria has an A Like moment where she slowly pulls down her hood. It seemed like a mini reveal.

Ali - Alison is obviously wearing her yellow top. The iconic yellow top that she was buried alive in, the final outfit she was known to be in. We all somewhat know what happened that night through Charlotte. However that is one person’s experience.

Emily - Emily is wearing her sharks swim team attire and this is the episode where she discuses swimming abilities and skills with Sydney. This is also the episode, Alison texts Emily and sings it A by accident then changes it. Why would Alison subconsciously type A at the end? This episode had a lot to do with Paige..

Now that I’ve analysed the episodes, I think I know the possible route for the game. Each liar will have to perform a task that correlates with someone close to them / failure to do so could result in that person being harmed. For example, 1x11 had details of Aria being with Ezra and Noel finding out about it, Her task could be Ezra related, Her reward possibly Nicole related, and if she fails, Ezra could find out about something idk. Emily’s episode had a lot of Paige, What if she’s forced to do something that involves choosing Alison or Paige? What if it results in Alison’s death? Hanna is dressing Katherine Daly for a career boost and her game piece features fashion-elements.. AD could ruin that so badly. Spencer’s was related to Toby because of her love for him. I don’t have much more to say I’m tired lmao

- “So continue with Plan A.” When Hanna and Aria are talking about Nicole and Hanna tells Aria to CONTINUE WITH PLAN A. Is this foreshadowing Aria?

- Alison is so salty over Paige. Why is she so intimidated? Alison was the one that bullied Paige

- Why is nobody asking Who shot Spencer? The only people present were Mary and Jenna. So does that mean? Mary shot Spencer? But why?

- I really don’t want Katherine Daly to be Bethany. I just don’t like it.

- THE VERONICA SPENCER SCENE BROKE MY HEART. VERONICA LOVED HER AND PROTECTED HER LIKE SHE WAS HER OWN.

- PETER HASTINGS IS A FUCK BOY

- SUPPORTIVE CALEB SMILING AT HANNA AS SHE DOES WHAT SHE LOVES IS MY AESTHETIC

- Why does Alison have to attack Paige? Paige is literally doing her job and Alison just makes things shitty? Why. Why is she forever victimising herself and Why is she being the old Alison. Is this been shown to let us know that Ali hasn’t changed?

- Maybe not the rest of the world. But this is ROSEWOOD. LITERALLY LMAO

- Why is Spencer so easily whipping off her cast???

- Okay so the letter from Mary says that Spencer was made through hate and so that Jesica and Peter are aware of a mistake they made on s daily basis? I know that Mary pretended to be Jesica so with Spencer living next door to her, She’d be able regret the affair that she also had with Peter. Also, How did AD get this letter? Must be working with Mary

- Paige is right about Alison. Emily will make excuses and it is demeaning. Alison always victimises herself.

- and again Hanna is very defensive and salty. Questioning wether the letter is real.

- PLEASE LET THAT CUP, THE TEA AND THE SCRUBS BE A REFERENCE TO WREN. ALSO, Jenna at the end, Does her Braille spell out End game or The actual identity of the person and their reason? Why would she just smile and say End game? I’m confused

fandoms and originals

A few things about me:

- I am looking for people who play in the third person and post multiple paragraphs in their responses. (Please give me at least 3 paragraphs and I’ll be happy with that. Anything less and I get put out and most likely will not respond back to you out of disappointment ^^; Sorry.) I will also match my partner’s response length. Also, please have a decent grasp of grammar and spelling. I won’t respond if you message me in all chatspeak. When you message me, also, please have an idea of what you want to do. “Hi, wanna RP?” is kind of unacceptable. Of course I want to roleplay–that’s why I put the add up.

- I don’t really care for unhealthy ships. I don’t like cheating or abuse in relationships–that sort of stuff. I’m not about that life. - I am a slash (both mxm and fxf) roleplayer. I will not tolerate seme/uke paradigms. You will play a switch or there will be no smut. There are only certain canon ships I’ll do mxf for. (like Lightning/adult!Hope or Tidus/Yuna for example.) I won’t do mxf for originals.

- I will only accept roleplayers who are 21+. If I find out you’re under my age limit, I’m going to delete you immediately.

- All kinks are based off of character preference, not my own. I’m also not really a kinky person. Sorry about that.

- I like canonxoc for certain canons. If I play a canon for you, I expect you to play one for me. Compromise! Some ships I will not do canonxoc for.

- I know this sounds like me being a hard ass, but I really like becoming friends with my partners and exchanging headcanons and songs!

- I roleplay through email only. No exceptions.

- I try to post every day. I really do. Sometimes, I’m just too tired to do so. ^^;;; Be patient with me. Weekends get hectic because I’m in a couple DnD campaigns.

- Once the roleplay gets off the ground, I have skype. You can ask for it–but only after intros are exchanged. Every time I’ve given someone my skype before we started, the roleplay never got off the ground.

- If for some reason I stop responding, I legitimately forgot. Just poke me. There are times when I’m at work and look at an email and forget to respond to it later because i thought I did.

Current cravings: Peronsa 5, Final Fantasy XV, Fire Emblem Fates, and the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That doesn’t mean I won’t do others!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I can play Kyoko, Homura, and Mami. I can also do originals in the PMMM setting, gender bends, or Puer Magi. (Magical Boys.) Seriously, my kingdom for a PMMM roleplay. I’m also not opposed to mixing canons and originals!

Original. Hit me up. I am open to most things. If you want a something with a lot of smut, just let me know up front. I especially am big on gothic/fantasy/horror settings with magic, darkness, twisted fairy tales as inspiration, Alice in Wonderland kind of settings, surreal or Silent Hill/Fatal Frame esque thing. Definitely willing to look into maybe some mystery/eldritch horror thing. I’m pretty flexible. Other stuff I’m into includes: steampunk, horror, creepypasta, victorian era, medieval/fantasy, modern/fantasy. I’ll give anything a shot and I’m sure I have a character for it or at the very least, can make one. It must have fantasy, by the way. I’m also a big fan of supernatural beingxhuman, or two different races mingling with each others. The only thing I’ll outright say no to is slice of life unless it’s monsters/supernatural creatures trying to live among humans. I’ll only accept mxm and fxf for original lines. Please note, I DO NOT play vampires or werewolves. I don’t mind roleplaying with them, but I personally do not like playing them. If you want to do a plot that is vampire or werewolf based, you have to play those species. I’ll also take random intros for original! Just tell me the genre you’re sending me in the title or if you want platonic, mxm, or fxf! Please, if you send me a random intro, keep it to the genres listed or similar interests to this ad. I can’t guarantee I’ll be into the roleplay if you pick something I don’t advertise.

Fire Emblem Awakening. I’ll die of happiness if you’d like to do m!tacticianxChrom. I’m looking for a Chrom. I can also play m!Morgan, Lucina, and a couple others. Let’s chat about it. I have a couple AU ideas, considering, well, you know how Fire Emblem is. There’s a war, let’s go fight the war!

Fire Emblem Fates. This, here, is what I’m craving the most. I’ve played all three paths, but prefer Conquest and Revelation. I want to play Corrin. (Male.) and am open to ships. (As long as they’re mxm and fxf.) I’m mostly looking for a Xander (!!! Boy, I want Xander the most. Xander/Corrin happens to be my otp.), Leo (!!), Takumi (!), or Silas. I also ship Selena and Camilla. (I play Selena.) I like AUs and doubling, so I’m sure we can figure something out. I am also leokumi trash and can play either… though I’d rather do Corrin/Leo and Corrin/Takumi. I also like Sakura/Elise! (Slight preference toward Sakura.) I much prefer AUs and am willing to hash something out with you. No OCs for this. Sorry.

Persona. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to do a Persona or Persona based roleplay!. My favorite pairing for Persona is Yu/Souji/ProtagonistxYosuke. I play Yosuke. I am seriously craving another Yu/Yosuke roleplay like woah. We can discuss this. I also REALLY like the idea of the P3 Female Protagonist/MinakoxMitsuru. I’d be playing the female protagonist. We can also do a whole new Persona group, too.

Addendum: Just finished Persona 5, am interested in playing Akira–or maybe we could do our own team of Phantom Thieves? Really dig the concept. I do like Akira/Yusuke and Ann/Makoto–will play Akira and Makoto. I am also interested in an Akechi redemption line, but I won’t pair him with Akira. Others I can play are Futaba and Haru.

I’d also like to do something with Black Butler. I’d like to play a male oc against Ciel If you play Ciel for me, I’ll play Elizabeth for you in a fxf line or I will also consider playing Sebastian for your oc, but I’m VERY picky on this because Sebastian is a vainglorious bastard who needs entertainment. So! Try me, just don’t say I didn’t warn you if I tell you no. I also have a demon, if you want to play a contractor in an all original variation. (Note: my demon will not be your character’s butler. He laughs at the very idea. He can change his gender, so he can be a she.) *Please note, that sebciel is a GIANT NOTP of mine, so don’t even ask for it.

Tales of. The first thing I’m looking for is a Sorey to my Mikleo. My kingdom for these two babies who are too pure for this world. The second thing I’m looking for a Richard to my Asbel and kinda have some vague ideas for this! I also roleplay Tales of cross overs and have a vague idea for that, too. I would also love a Gaius for my Wingul. Can discuss other Tales pairings, will be fine with ocs if you’ll afford me the same. I’ve played all of the Tales of games released in the US EXCEPT for Eternia and Vesperia. That doesn’t mean you can’t play these characters! I’m totally down for Asch/OC and will try and accommodate you as well. I also recently bought Tales of Berseria. I’m only about 40ish hours into it, so no spoilers!

The World Ends With You. I play Josh. Mostly looking for a Neku or whomever you want to throw at me. I’d prefer AUs (kind of have a basic idea for one) or post-game. Please, for the love of all things holy, do not play Neku as a weak willed little thing who won’t tell Josh to go eff himself if he doesn’t like what Josh is doing. We can also do a whole new Game with all ocs.

okay so for my character specific playlists, i always do a combo of songs that:

have the same ~vibe~ as the character like same energy or whatever or like just make me think of them

are relevant to the characters general storyline in relation to the characters side of things

^ the opposite end, aka the presumed feelings of the characters love interest aka for the two fandoms i’ve made playlists for, mc or the detective

i think the character themselves would relate to

so for this bobby playlist as my example heres which songs fall into which category (some might be in more than one) so you can like see what i mean exactly

bobby vibes:

shampain, somewhere in my heart, don’t threaten me with a good time, short kings anthem, on my own

relevant to his side of the storyline:

girls talk boys, gold rush, pretty girl, ready to run, adore you, obvious, electric love, walk the line

relevant to mc’s side:

trainwreck, touch, this kiss, malibu, finally, whatta man, electric love, i think he knows, walk the line, thinking of you (disaster recoupling war flashbacks)

songs i think he’d relate to:

connection, i hate everybody, mirrorball, somebody to love

but when i first make them, i just go through my library and add any song i think could even 1% fit into any of the categories. i usually end up having 50-75 songs by the time i’m done.

then i go through and cut it down to either 15 or 25 songs.

examples of songs i cut:

i feel like dancin’ - all time low, hitchhiker - demi lovato, sorry - halsey, liability - lorde, the rain - missy elliott, end of the day - one direction, etc.

once i’ve shortened the playlist, that’s when i go through and order it. this part is the hardest part tbh like where i do jump around genres so much, it takes forever to put them in an order that sounds good. i always have at least one or more country song, early 2000s song, and probably too many taylor swift songs (i can do it baby i know the law) so trying to make them work all together can take a while sometimes

the ordering process sometimes gets songs deleted bc i simply can’t find a spot for them. then i have to replace whatever i had to cut so i’ll go back through my library and add like 5 more songs and just test the waters with them.

but also sometimes my ordering has a different strategy than just the sound.

for example, in this bobby playlist, there’s a subtle joke within it. short kings anthem ends with cody and noel doing that radio show caller bit. the last line of the song is “well that’s great to hear, caller! glad you got your dick wet. next up, halsey!” and then a halsey song is what actually comes next.

or like my a du mortain playlist started with the prologue by halsey aka mostly just a reading of the prologue to romeo and juliette.

or when i made that wee playlist for myself that someone asked me to make once. it starting with let’s go crazy by prince was on purpose. i wanted it to start with those opening lines: “dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.” and then my marisol playlist had a strategic first song too bc i wanted it to open with “this aint for the best. my reputation’s never been worse, so you must like me for me.” bc of when marisol’s route begins.

A few things about me:

- I am looking for people who play in the third person and post multiple paragraphs in their responses. (Please give me at least 3 paragraphs and I'll be happy with that. Anything less and I get put out and most likely will not respond back to you out of disappointment ^^; Sorry.) I will also match my partner's response length. Also, please have a decent grasp of grammar and spelling. I won't respond if you message me in all chatspeak. When you message me, also, please have an idea of what you want to do. "Hi, wanna RP?" is kind of unacceptable. Of course I want to roleplay--that's why I put the add up.

- My hard limits are rape, vore, mpreg (good god no mpreg never ever mpreg), pedophilia, and a few others in between, but those are the big ones. If you ask for any of these four things, I will delete your post immediately. I don't mind rape being mentioned in a backstory, but I won't play it out. I'm not too keen on large age gaps unless we're playing a supernatural creature with a human. They need to look about the same age.

- I know this sounds like me being a hard ass, but I really like becoming friends with my partners and exchanging headcanons and songs!

- I roleplay through email only. No exceptions.

I’m also a big fan of supernatural beingxhuman, or two different races mingling with each others. The only thing I'll outright say no to is slice of life unless it's monsters/supernatural creatures trying to live among humans. I'll only accept mxm and fxf for original lines. Please note, I DO NOT play vampires or werewolves. I don't mind roleplaying with them, but I personally do not like playing them. If you want to do a plot that is vampire or werewolf based, you have to play those species. I'll also take random intros for original! Tales of. The first thing I'm looking for is a Sorey to my Mikleo. My kingdom for these two babies who are too pure for this world. The second thing I’m looking for a Richard to my Asbel and kinda have some vague ideas for this! I also roleplay Tales of cross overs and have a vague idea for that, too. I would also love a Gaius for my Wingul. Can discuss other Tales pairings, will be fine with ocs if you’ll afford me the same. I’ve played all of the Tales of games released in the US EXCEPT for Eternia and Vesperia. That doesn't mean you can't play these characters! I'm totally down for Asch/OC and will try and accommodate you as well. I also recently bought Tales of Berseria. I'm only about 40ish hours into it, so no spoilers!

The World Ends With You. I play Josh. Mostly looking for a Neku or whomever you want to throw at me. I'd prefer AUs (kind of have a basic idea for one) or post-game. Please, for the love of all things holy, do not play Neku as a weak willed little thing who won't tell Josh to go eff himself if he doesn't like what Josh is doing. We can also do a whole new Game with all ocs.

Some characters I play are Lightning (my favorite), Cecil Harvey, Yuna, Cloud Strife, Kadaj, Vanille, Terra Branford, Garnet til Alexandros/Dagger, Bartz, Faris, Noel Kreiss, Ramza (Tactics), and some others here and there. Some of the ships I play are Lightning/adult!Hope (I play Lightning and have some au ideas for this), Zack/Cloud (I play Cloud), Tidus/Yuna (I play Yuna), Fang/Vanille (I play Vanille. I'll also play Fang/Lightning), Zidane/Garnet, Cecil/Kain (Cecil) etc. There are others. I've played almost every Final Fantasy except the online ones, so just ask. There are a few canons I play that I'll pair with ocs, like Noel Kreiss for example. This is probably the only place you'll catch me for mxf. I would really love a Ramza for one of my ocs as well? Like I said, I'll play certain canons for you, too! ... or maybe just something with Final Fantasy Tactics in general.

Ace Attorney. Okay, okay. I only do canon/oc for this one, fam. I've also only played the first three games and Ace Attorney Investigations. I'm looking for a Miles Edgeworth to my male oc and for you, I can play Franziska von Karma for fxf. Might be talked into playing Phoenix Wright for you, depending on your oc.

ATLA. I have a male earth bending oc (with a spirit pal who follows him) that I'll do mxm with. I'm really up for anything here, except LoK verse since he doesn't seem to fit in there so well. Canons? OCs? Sure, whatever. I'll leave it open. You wanna test a new OC or practice a canon against him? Cool.
