The clouds were rolling in rapidly, way faster than you had anticipated. The trees were shaking with the gusts of wind. You had only received the alert of the impending storm on your phone about an hour ago. After giving your weather app one last look, you sighed heavily and tossed your phone on the couch next to you.
It wasn’t that you didn’t like the rain; you did, in fact you loved it. But, tonight was supposed to be a ladies night out with your friend. You and her had been very excited to try that new Pho place downtown and then go for drinks. You especially had been looking forward to it.
The rain started splattering against the window, the heavy wind getting fiercer by the minute. There was no sense in getting ready for a night that wasn’t going to happen. Your friend has already canceled over an hour ago.
You thought about asking your boyfriend. He had just gotten back into town a few days ago.Jisung had been away for weeks while touring and neither of you have spent any time together. You had texted him ranting about your ruined plans and he had suggested he come over, but you would never ask him to face the storm.
As if he knew you were thinking about him, your phone lit up with a call from ‘Sungie <3’.
“Hey Ji, I was just thinking about you.” You answered, heart feeling heavy at having to be away from him.
“Funny enough, I’m always thinking of you, my baby.” You heard a car door slam on his end, “Your favorite kind of pho is chicken, right?”
“Yeah, whhyyyy?” You drawled. You didn’t get an answer from him, instead you were startled when your doorbell rang. “What the fuck, you didn’t!” You hung up the phone and rushed to the door, flinging it open to find your boyfriend in all his smiling glory, with arms full with food and snacks. “Ji!”
“Delivery for the prettiest girl in the world!” His arms were full or he would have hugged you. You took some of the stuff from his arms and stepped aside for him to enter your home.
“What are you doing here, you crazy person?! Do you not see the insane storm that's coming in?” you chastise even though you were beaming, unable to hide your elation at seeing him in your home. You wish you knew he was coming so you could have changed out of your pjs.
“Wow there's a storm outside?” He said sarcastically, acting shocked. “I couldn’t tell.” You pushed him playfully, and he laughed. “I kinda thought that we could weather the storm together, I mean, if you want? I brought Pho from that place you wanted to try and a bunch of snacks and candy! I remember you talking about building blanket forts when you were little, so I also figured we could build one to snuggle in? I brought my string lights.”
“Oh Ji” you wanted to cry, he was so thoughtful. He always paid the utmost attention to what you say, even absentmindedly. “This is perfect. You are perfect. Thank you my love.” You set down the bags you took from him and attacked him in a hug.
He hugged you back just as tightly, sweeping you off the ground, “Anything for you my baby.” He set you down with a wet smooch to your forehead. You’re stuck with me until this storm is over! No girl of mine is gonna be alone with this bullshit going on outside!” You noticed he had a backpack on, those must be his clothes for a few days. As if you didn’t already have a stache of his clothes already.
Tumblr media
The building process was surprisingly pretty quick. Jisung had demanded you build the fort before you ate, so you can ‘eat in the ambiance and celebrate the fruits of our labor’ as he had said. You’re pretty sure the motivation came from keeping the food hot, making you both get to work. Luckily you were a blanket hoarder so you had plenty to use and pile on the floor.
As Ji was hanging the string lights as the finishing touch you set out the food for both of you on the tray you put in the fort. He was right, it was worth the wait. It felt so magical somehow. You must have been stuck in a state of wonder for sometime because Jisung opened the side and scooted himself in, now wearing his pjs.
“You ok there, space cadet?” He teased you, laughing when you pushed him.
“In fact, jackass, I am more than ok.”  you set his food down in front of him while he picked something to watch on TV.  “You could even say I’m happy.”
He chose a Ghibli movie ‘Spirited away’ (one of your favorites) then dug into his Pho. “That was my goal.” Jisung replied with his cheeks full. “I always wanna make you happy.” He said it with a shrug, as if it was no big deal.
You were so struck with emotion at his statement, your eyes were filled with unshed tears. Here you were, with the most beautiful boy you had ever seen, sitting in a whimsical blanket fort said beautiful boy made for you, eating the food he bought and brought here for you. He braved the viscous weather for you. You couldn’t help the overflow of feelings and the tears started leaking from your eyes. What started as one tear, turned into two, turning into a full rolling stream over your cheeks.
When you started sniffling is what finally got his attention, his head snapping over to you and he hurriedly set down his food, shuffling closer to you in panic. “What’s wrong?! Do you not like your pho?! We can switch, here take mine please don’t cry!”
You wiped your eyes, still sniffling but smiling at his franticness, “No, it’s just that.. I love you. So much. I’m so thankful to have you. That’s all.”
He seemed shocked at your words, his own eyes looking teary now. “Oh my baby, my lover, the apple of my eye. I love you.” He grabbed your hands in his, “ You are my inspiration. Every song I write is because of you. I see you in my dreams, and I feel you in my heart when we are apart. Every emotion I have is evoked by you. If anything, I should be thankful for you!”
You attacked him in a tight embrace, not even trying to stop crying now. “Stooop being soooooo sappy!” you complained even though you both knew you loved it. He hugged you back just as tight, burying his face in your hair.
It was like a release, the way both of you were able to let go of everything inside, both of you completely relaxing into each other. It was always easy to be with Jisung. You had only been together for a little over a year, but Jisung had said (you agreed) you both had to have been lovers in another life. That your fates were intertwined. He claimed it was some pact created before the dawn of time to fate you both together for eternity. Soulmates.
You held each other until your sniffling stopped. Just taking in each other's presence. You were the first to pull away, wiping your eyes for the final tears. He gave your cheek a kiss and picked up his food, stuffing his face. You giggled at him then clicked play on the tv, and picked up your food. Thankfully it was still warm.
Tumblr media
The howling outside only grew stronger as the evening went on. Every so often the windows would rattle and alarm you both, but the scare only ever lasted a second. Your boyfriend had you curled into his side as you were in the middle of your second movie. The whole apartment was dark sans the string lights and the tv, it was the perfect calm to the storm outside.
His hand was between your thighs, just keeping warm between your skin. It wasn’t a sexual act but you could feel your skin heating up at his touch anyways. You hadn’t been touched in weeks, since before he left this last time. Not even by your own hands, though it was more like whenever you try it doesn’t feel the same. Your body craves him so much you can’t get off without him so why bother.  His hand was all you could focus on; knowing he was so close to where you needed him yet he made no moves to close the distance. The man seemed to be paying attention to the movie, if his little hums of laughter was any indication. How was he supposed to know he was unintentionally making you soaking wet? Did he really not notice your silent squirming?
“Sungie” you whispered, moving your face closer to his ear. He hummed in acknowledgement. “Can I tell you something?” He hummed again, “ I’m really wet right now.” you placed a kiss to his ear and he shivered visibly.
“You can't just say things like that!” He turned to you, his eyes wide and his cheeks red.
“Why not?” you giggled at his reaction. “It’s true. ‘Ve been drenched since you put your hand in between my thighs.”
He accidentally let out a groan at your dirty words, biting his lip. He turned on his side and pulled your mouth to his, his wet tongue immediately shoving itself in your mouth. His kiss was sloppy- needy even- his soft lips smothering over yours messily. Jisung had been waiting for the right moment to make a move, not wanting you to feel taken advantage of. If only he had known how bad you had wanted him, he would have been on you (and in you) sooner.
His hand that was between your thighs traveled up to your core, feeling you from the outside of your sleep shorts. You let out a whimper when his fingers deftly rubbed over your clothed slit. He stroked you there for a second while his mouth invaded your own, just letting his fingers run along the seam. When you bucked your hips into his hand he finally gave in and let his hand wander into your bottoms. He was immediately able to feel just how badly you needed him.
“Fuck. you really are drenched, you little devil. Is it all for me?” he bit your lip in between words, his pupils dilated at the liquid he felt coming out of you.
“Uh huh, always for my Sungie. My sweet boyfriend always makes me sooooo wet for him.” You responded, moaning when he pushed a finger inside. He was an expert with his fingers, those years of guitar coming quite in handy, so he knew exactly how to crook his digits up right into your sweet spot. “Sung, fuck, so good.”
You brought one of your own hands down to the growing bulge in his sweats, cupping him the way he likes. Now you were both letting out little moans as you touched each other. Ji added another finger and used his thumb to rub your clit.
“Sungiiie, wanna ride you. Pleaaassee” you tried to push him onto his back. He let you with no hesitation, removing his fingers from you.
“Oh absolutely, baby.” He ripped his own shirt over his head then laid on his back, tugging his sweat pants down his thighs. Once his pants were down you threw your leg over his thighs, settling yourself atop his member, the precum rubbing on your folds. Ji already looked like he wanted to cum at that little contact.
You tossed your own shirt to the floor beside you and his hands shot straight up to cup your breasts. He was panting as he rubbed on your chest, his thumbs brushing over your nipples. “Mmm always so soft, can never get enough of your soft skin.”
You hummed, shifting your hips to rub yourself over his shaft, your arousal coating him and letting you glide over him. His mouth formed a little ‘o’ as he looked up at you through his lashes.  He was just as desperate for you as you were for him, “Lover, baby, sweetheart-please let me put it in. Need to feel you around me.” His neediness was showing hard.
“Since you asked so nicely…” You tried your best to smirk but it came out more crooked than you hoped. You reached down underneath you to grab his member. You lifted yourself up slightly to line up his cock to your opening, and then sunk down on him inch by inch. When you had taken his whole length you threw your head back as a moan came out loudly. “F-fuck Hannie, always fill me so good.”
“Nghh y/n, oh my god. So warm around me. So fucking tight.” His eyes closed as you sat on him fully. Your boyfriend let his hands run up and down your torso with his thumbs still finding your nipples each time he went back up.
You let yourself adjust to his thickness for a moment, before you began to roll your hips back and forth. The friction felt delicious. Every motion let you feel every ridge of him within your walls. “M-missed your cock, Sung.”
“Missed you more, my sweets. Missed your pussy. Mmmmm missed everything about you.” One thing about your boyfriend is when he made love to you, he didn’t know how to shut the fuck up. “ m’ never leaving you again. Never leaving this pussy again. You’re gonna be stuck with me forever. Gonna have to pry you from me. Fuck!” He yelled the last part when you started bouncing on him.
“Wan’ tha’. Wanna keep you inside forever.” You cooed at him, gaining a rhythm now. Your thighs were already burning but the pleasure out weighed the pain. You placed your hands on his chest for support, riding him like your life depended on it.
The touches he gave you were getting rougher, fingers digging into your sides, indents of his painted nails leaving small crescents in your skin. “Oh oh please, baby, wanna fill you, wanna cum in you, please baby. M’ so good for you. Just wanna give you my love.” His hips were bucking as he got closer to his high, unable to keep himself together.
“You are so good f’ me, Sungie. Always the best boy, making me feel so fucking good.” You took one of his hands in yours and took it off of your ribs and brought it down to your clit. “Rub it, make me cum, Sungie. Can’t cum without you.”
Immediately he began to rub harsh circles on your bundle, his rhythm on the nub being perfect. Jisung lived to please you, he took great pride in knowing exactly how to touch you. His need for praise was too high for him to have a lack of attention.
Your thighs began to shake as your orgasm was creeping up on you. You could tell Ji was trying to get you there, his own release about to burst. He was drooling as you looked down at him,  and his big eyes were leaking salty tears. His brown eyes were blown out, dark with intense lust for you.
“M’ gonna cum, princess, gonna cum in you. Gonna fill you up, baby.” His voice was straining as he warned you.
“Do it, cum in me. Make me yours Ji. You deserve it.” Once you gave him permission the floodgates opened, and he let go inside of you. He was shaking and squirming under you, his hips bucking wildly. His loud whines filled the room, mixing with the howls from the wind outside, creating this beautiful symphony. Witnessing his intense pleasure and feeling his warmth fill you caused you to fly over the edge after him. Your own whimpers follow soon after.
“Kiss me, please angel.” He begged through his teary whines. You leaned down and captured your lips with his, swallowing each other's moans. You physically couldn’t keep yourself on top of him any longer. As soon as the shocks of your orgasm subsided you fell directly on top of him, letting his arms cage you against him as you both fought to get your breath back.
Jisung just held you against him, keeping his member inside and just embracing how warm you were. Yeah he had missed the sex, but what he missed more was the intimacy. How the both of you could sit here and just exist within each other. He really loves you more than anything, and he knows you love him just as much. He had told you time and time again you were cosmically aligned, and now more than ever, he felt how true it was.
If there's one thing he could absolutely be certain of, it's that right here, under the fairy lights, with you close to him as you peppered his face with wet kisses, was one of the highlights of his life.
Maybe it was a good idea to bring the little black box that hid within his bag.

CHAPTER ONE
CHAPTER TWO
You didn’t have the nerve to tell Tammy that you’d rejected Billy’s advances and that she’d probably not get the job because of you. You let her hold onto the idea that you’d been doing something good for her, instead of something stupid for you. The whole thing reminded you of why you’d become friends with her in the first place; when Tammy was being nice to you, when she wasn’t making petulant demands, she could be great to be around.
But, she kept asking when your date with Billy was and by the third day of waiting to hear about the job, you were taking extra deliveries just to avoid the apartment. You knew you’d have to tell her sooner rather than later, but you really were hoping it would be later, at least after you’d figured out a way to explain to her that you’d cost her a job because you’d told Billy Russo no.
And when she came into the den screeching and clutching her phone? You thought she finally knew the truth and were ready to give her the apology that you’d spent the last few days trying to practise.
“I got the fucking job!” She squealed, jumping up onto the sofa beside you.
“You - what?” It took a moment to hear her over the screeching and - no, surely Billy hadn’t given her a job just as a way of getting to you. He was a businessman, he wouldn’t do something so dumb just to get you into bed.
After the initial excitement fizzled out, Tammy dropped onto the sofa to sit beside you. “I start on Monday! I can’t believe I’m finally going to get my parents off my back.”
“I thought you didn’t even want the job at Anvil? Before the interview you said it sounded boring.”
“That was until I saw the guys that work there, I mean, it’s literally a building full of hotties. And I can still do auditions in the evenings and on weekends. Besides, most people work crappy jobs before they get famous.” To your surprise she was being very mature about the whole thing, though you weren’t sure how she’d deal with actually working a nine-to-five job.
“Well, I’m happy for you.” You forced a smile because you were happy, even if you weren’t sure that it wasn’t all going to fall apart when Billy realised he was never going to convince you to go to dinner with him
“Okay but you’re going to have to promise me you won’t fuck this up for me.”
“How would I even -”
“I get it, Billy Russo is hot, but I know what you’re like with guys...”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” You knew exactly what she meant, and that was the worst part. Tammy had tried, and failed, in the past to set you up, to put you on dating apps, and play wingman for her during double dates, and every time it had ended badly.
“Just don’t go leading him on and then ghosting or whatever it is you normally do to guys. I don’t need you pissing off my new boss.”
“I’ll try really hard not to, Tammy.” If she noticed you were being sarcastic, she didn’t seem to care.
It wasn’t long before she disappeared off to celebrate with her friends, leaving you alone in the apartment, leaving you to try and figure out what was going on. As much as Tammy was - well, let’s just say she had certain skills that would be helpful in a secretarial position, you just couldn’t figure out why she’d been given the job.
Billy Russo wasn’t an idiot, that much you were certain of; he wouldn’t hire Tammy just because of you. In fact, he probably wasn’t even involved in the hiring process. You were overthinking it. And, ultimately, it didn’t even matter because you weren’t going to see him again.
You weren’t going anywhere near the Anvil building ever again.
But that didn’t stop you from opening your laptop and Googling his name.
It felt like an invasion of privacy, reading through articles about Anvil’s financial successes, about the heroic ex-Marine who’d built the company from nothing and now gave so much back to his fellow veterans. Your stomach knotted at every photo taken at some gala or corporate event where he had some stunning woman hanging off his arm (women who, upon reading the image captions were revealed to be leaders in their fields; lawyers, models, psychiatrists, and even a surgeon). Jealousy had you closing your laptop, and self-loathing had you making a promise to yourself to stay away from Billy Russo and Anvil.
But it wasn’t that simple. You kept thinking about his smile, the way his dark eyes had looked at you like he wanted nothing more than to take you apart piece by piece, and the way his laugh had felt like the rarest sound you could draw from him. Most of all, you kept thinking about the kiss, playing it over and over. Sometimes you even found yourself wishing that you’d just said yes - what was the worst that could have happened?
(No, no, you didn’t want to think about that.)
You couldn’t stop yourself from going back to the Google search, over and over again, just to look at him. There was just something about him, something that made you feel like a ridiculous teenager with a crush, but every time you looked at his eyes, it did something to you; it made you want something you knew you couldn’t have.
You needed to stay away from him.
But Tammy had other plans.
Her first day of work, the following Monday, she’d begged you to drop her off. Then, once you were there, she’d demanded that you help her carry her things to the door, using the reasoning that she had taken the job for you as well as her, so you could keep the apartment that you both loved so much.
All you wanted to do was get out of there as quickly as possible, so the moment Tammy was by the door you were pushing the box into her arms and stepping away, all the while telling her that you couldn’t pick her up later because of work. Tammy tried to complain, tried to talk over you, but you didn’t stop; you were going to get as far away from that building as quickly as possible. Ignoring her frustration, you shouted good luck over your shoulder and started back towards your car.
Only, there was a surprise waiting for you when you got there.
“I like your strategy; in and out before anyone can notice you.” Billy smirked, his arms folded across his chest as he leaned against the driver’s side door of your car.
“Well, clearly it didn’t work...” you answered awkwardly, stopping a few feet away from him, out of his reach.
“It’s hard to pull off when you’re dealing with a Recon Marine,” he laughed, still smirking that smirk that looked so good on him. “I hoped we’d run into each other again.”
“It’s hardly running into each other when you own the building and you know what my car looks like,” you shrugged and Billy’s smile waivered a little. Your stomach knotted at the sight, at the way his playful smile dimmed to something that seemed almost forced. He took a breath, unfolded his arms and stood away from your car.
“Look, I just wanted to talk - to apologise - I guess I was a little heavy-handed last time,” the words were enough of a distraction that he managed to take a couple of steps towards you. “I just - I’m not very good at...” he let out an awkward laugh and threw his arms out in a shrug, not finishing the thought.
“Asking women out?” You offered with an uncomfortable huff of laughter. “I don’t believe that.”
“No?”
“No.”
“Why not?” And, just like that, you were being pulled into another one of his little games.
You could have walked around him, could have told him that you needed to go, but you didn’t. The truth was, that you enjoyed it, you liked that playful side of him, even though it wasn’t fair of you to indulge him when you knew you’d still have the same answer for him at the end of all this.
“Because you’re - you.” And that was all the answer you could offer him.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Billy laughed and your cheeks started to warm again.
“You don’t exactly strike me as the type of guy who struggles to get dates?” He remained silent, a questioning look on his face; he wanted you to say what you both knew you were thinking. “You know, the whole tall, dark, and handsome thing you’ve got going on...”
“And you think that makes it easier for me?” His smile was back, that playful glint in his eye that you just couldn’t seem to say no to.
“Doesn’t it?”
“Well, you said no, didn’t you?”
Shit. You’d walked yourself into a trap.
“Not because of you - or, I mean, not because of anything you did. I just don’t date.” You started to play with the cuff of your hoodie, not sure what else you were supposed to say to him.
“What if it wasn’t a date? What if it was just two people going for dinner?”
“I think it’s a bit late for just dinner, Billy.”
“‘cause I kissed you?” your gaze dropped, cheeks burning hotter. “I shouldn’t have, I should’ve waited, I just - I have poor impulse control when it comes to things I want.”
You didn’t say anything - what could you even say to any of that?
“What if it wasn’t dinner?”
“Billy...” you sighed.
“Is it really so bad that I want to spend some time with you? Get to know you a little?”
Was it? The terrifying thing was the fact that he almost had you convinced, almost had you relenting and agreeing with him.
“I’m not really worth knowing,” you shrugged, “I’m nothing special, Billy. I’m just a bike messenger who spends most of her time driving her roommate around.”
“I like talking to you, you make me laugh,” Billy shrugged. “And I think you are worth knowing, and I don’t give a shit if you’re a bike messenger or a brain surgeon, it doesn’t change anything.”
“Right, one of New York's most eligible bachelors taking a bike messenger out to dinner, I can just picture it,” an embarrassing snort of laughter escaped you, “probably couldn’t take me to any of the fancy places that you’re used to, so what does that leave? Pizza Hut or Five Guys?”
“‘I’ll take you for pizza if that’s what you want. We could go right now?”
“Billy, it’s eight-thirty in the morning, I’m pretty sure Pizza Hut isn’t open yet.” You laughed, despite the feeling that you’d been letting this play out for far too long now.
“I’m sure we could find a way to kill some time until it opens?”
“Oh really?” You shot him a look, eyebrows raised, very unimpressed with what you thought he was implying.
“Hey, I meant go get a coffee or something, get your mind out of the gutter.” He grinned and you couldn’t help but laugh again.
“I’d just be wasting your time.”
“I don’t think I’d consider any time spent with you a waste,” he retorted without even missing a beat.
“You don’t even know me.”
“I don’t, but I want to.”
“Why?” Why was he being so persistent? What did he think he was going to get from you?
“Why does anyone get to know anyone?”
“I don’t know.” And you really didn’t, that was the saddest part of all. “I’m not your type.”
“And what do you think my type is?” He asked, barely managing to hold back a laugh.
“Doctors, lawyers, psychiatrists - women who make at least six figures a year?” You realised far too late what you’d given away. “Women whose wardrobes cost more than I’ll make in my lifetime?”
“Did you Google me?” Billy asked, not even trying to hold back the smirk.
“N-no, I just - it came up when I was researching the job for Tammy.”
You fell silent and, for a few moments, so did Billy, long enough for it to make things feel all the more awkward when he finally spoke again.
“I’m not a bad guy, y’know.”
You looked at him, confused, not sure what he meant. Your fingers kept picking at the stitching on your cuff, and Billy seemed to notice.
“I’m making you uncomfortable.” He was, but you hated that he knew it. It wasn’t so much him that was the issue, it was you, it was all the messed up things in your past that made you the way you were.
“I don’t think you’re a bad guy, Billy." You said, not wanting to address whether or not he was making you uncomfortable because it was less him and more the general situation.
"Then let me prove it to you." You didn’t respond. “Just give me one night.”
“And, what? I’m supposed to fall madly in love with you?”
“No.”
“Then what?”
“Not that. I don’t - love isn’t a thing I’m capable of, it’s not something I’m interested in.” He explained, like it was such a simple and ordinary thing.
“Then why waste a night together if you don’t even want it to go anywhere?”
“There are plenty of other places it could go. I could show you the best night of your life and, at the end of it, if you wanted to walk away from me, you could.” Billy shrugged.
“So you just want sex? There are easier ways to get laid, Billy.” You told him with an awkward sort of laugh.
“I don’t want easy, I want you.” Normally you’d laugh at a line like that, but the way he was looking at you, the way he looked like he was barely holding back from showing you just what he meant right there in the parking lot kept you silent. “Tell me you haven't thought about it, that you’re not thinking about it right now; how it’d feel to spend the night with me inside you.”
You bit your lip, giving away far more than you wanted to.
Yes, you’d thought about it - how could you not?
“Billy...” you sounded almost breathless and that really didn’t help the point you were trying to make.
“I can make you feel things you’ve never felt before.” The way he said it made you want it, made you want things that you knew you shouldn’t.
“So, you’d fuck me then leave me?”
“Not if you didn’t want that.” He took the slightest step forwards and you couldn’t bring yourself to recoil.
“But you said -”
“I said I wasn’t interested in love, that doesn’t mean that it has to be a one and done thing, if you don’t want it to be.” Billy offered like this was some business deal and you were negotiating the terms. You could see why Anvil was so successful with him in charge.
“Fuck buddies then? Until - what? - you get bored of me?” You didn’t even know why you were encouraging him, why you were playing his game and letting the conversation drag on.
“Or you get bored of me,” Billy shrugged. “Admit it, you’re thinking about it. You’re thinking about what it’d be like to fuck me.”
“Maybe I am, but that doesn’t change anything. I don’t date and I don’t think sleeping with you would do either of us any good.”
He waited a moment before dropping; “was the last guy really that bad?”
And, just like that, everything seemed to change.
“What?” It was obvious though, wasn’t it? You should have been surprised that he hadn’t put it together sooner; you didn’t date because your ex had been a real piece of shit to you. A moment later, you shook your head. “It’s not - I don’t like to talk about it...”
You steeled yourself for what came next; the endless questions, trying to figure out what had happened to you and just how bad it was, how he could fix you. Only, it never came. He didn’t push, didn’t try to convince you that he was better than whoever might have hurt you. Instead, he seemed resigned, like he knew he couldn’t do any of that.
“I’m sorry,” he offered softly, “I’ll leave you alone.”
And, just like that Billy seemed to give up, his smile almost completely gone, replaced by a look that you didn’t want to think about. It wasn’t quite pity, but instead an uncomfortable compassion, an almost understanding. Someone had hurt him too, you realised. You frowned, frozen in place as he closed the distance between you and gently pressed his lips to your cheek.
“You know where to find me if you ever change your mind.”
As he pulled away from you, your breath caught in your chest, but you didn’t dare watch as he walked away from you. It was too dangerous, you knew you’d say something, knew you’d call him back.

NO the miscommunication one hurt my heart so badly. Please please please continue it and maybe write an apology?
sowwy :c
also anon i know (or at least i'm assuming???) that you meant you wanted an apology from geno for messing up, but when i first read this my brain interpreted it as 'i demand an apology from YOU PERSONALLY idontlikeem malk1ns lastname for hurting my feelings' and i chuckled and almost busted out the notes app to draft something <3 this is more than five sentences i hope you'll forgive me!
Sid isn't talking to him, and Zhenya deserves it.
That's not entirely true—Sid would never do anything to negatively impact the team, so when it comes to hockey he's exactly the same, joking around with Zhenya during video review, nudging against him on the bench as they watch guys run through drills and talk about their power play unit, smashing into Zhenya and yelling his head off when one of them scores.
It's just, he's stopped answering Zhenya's texts. It's just, he's stopped inviting Zhenya over, and when Zhenya suggested he take Sid out to a proper dinner to talk Sid blew him off so effectively and politely that Zhenya barely even noticed he'd been rejected until Sid was already walking away.
He's already sent the apology text, so clearly this is going to take more than words.
It wasn't until Zhenya was standing in Sid's dining room, staring at the dinner going cold amid the lingering scent of blown-out candles and flower petals scattered over the table cloth, that he realized exactly what it was the two of them have been doing for the last couple of months, and Sid's complete and utter absence from his personal life has only served to hammer home just what an idiot he was.
No girl at the bar is worth this. And frankly, Zhenya's not sure how he managed to convince himself for so long that this was just convenience, just a bit of fun on the side.
Sid wouldn't appreciate a live animal delivery like Zhenya's old girlfriends, and he's allergic to roses so that's out of the question. It's time to bring in the big guns.
Zhenya sucks it up, calls his mama, and asks for her highly sought-after and closely-guarded pelmeni recipe. Sid won't be able to turn those down no matter how furious he is.
Especially not if Zhenya uses his key, sneaks in, and sets dinner up in Sid's home while Sid's gone.

i decided i won't join the swap bc im swamped hmpp 🥺 hopefully i'll be able to finish and then have enough brain juice to uhh... get other juices flowing... lmao (and i hope the same for you!!! we out here strong, independent, smart, and horny women trying to make their way thru college hah)
with concerns to the site... for your research... well idk if you were serious but also idk if they ship internationally hahaha i just checked and the shopping app says it's out for delivery so i'm about to excute some top tier ninja moves to recieve, open, and use the package without my mom knowing sksksk good thing i'm an expert hahaha. also like ik it's invasive to wonder about real ppl but sometimes i do wonder if kpop idols get horny and how in the world do they deal w that you know??? hide the toys in the luggage??? oof airport au then !!! reader is an idol who hid a toy in her luggage and perv! member (it's giving ryujin or yuna) who works at the airport and does the xray bag scanning sees and *approaches* reader abt it...
- 😚
XD Lowkey love those ninja skills 😚 hope you enjoy your toys ;)
that would be a sexy thought like as an idol you have to keep a low profile so when you’re asked last minute to go on a promotional trip out of the country you get in line while your manager is waiting for you on border with your mask and whole get up when TSA offices ryujin and yuna see your bag in the x-ray machine and smirk, yuna kindly asks you to step aside while ryujin takes your bag to the private room, opening it in front of you yuna demand that you take off your mask, seeing your face she instantly recognizes you and using your flustered state ryujin demands to know what you plan on doing with these ‘adult toys’ during your schedule, yuna shames you into spilling that you finally alone time from your members and wanted to have some fun by yourself to which 2shin share an evil look and make you strip to check to see if you’re hiding anything else inside your body, using a rod that looks strangely like a dildo they take turns poking your holes with it and their fingers really reaching in and searching quickly to the point that you squirt all over yuna’s pant leg, ryujin huffs and demands that you bend down to clean up your mess while she gropes your boobs grinding against your naked back as the sound of skin slapping skin and your moans fill the empty room, once they deem you ‘fit to fly’ they watch you get dressed with wobbly legs and escort you back onto your flight with your toys safely tucked away inside your bag, once you find your seat you breath a sigh of relief until you feel a kick from behind your seat, you turn to see the two girls smirking holding your ticket in their hands as they kindly ask you to accompany them back to their hotel room for an additional few body searches 😵‍💫

How Scammers Are Stealing Your Money on Cash App, Zelle, and Other Payment Platforms
-An original article by Mycolancer
Scammers are out here robbing people left and right, and it’s getting ridiculous. These con artists are using Cash App, Zelle, and similar platforms to trick you into sending money with ZERO intention of ever delivering what they promised. Here’s how they pull it off and why you should be furious. 🤬
The Scams You Need to Watch Out For:
1. Fake Sellers: They act like they’ve got the hottest items—new gadgets, concert tickets, special treats, whatever you’re looking for. The second you send them the cash, poof, they disappear. No product, no refund, no nothing. They’ll bait you with free delivery! 🚚 🛑
2. Posing as Friends or Family: Ever get a message from a friend or family member asking for money? Yeah, don’t trust that right away. These scammers hack into accounts and pretend to be people you know, getting you to send money in a panic, only for you to realize it wasn’t them. 👀
3. Fake Customer Support: This one is just evil. They pretend to be customer service for Cash App or Zelle, offering to “help” you with a refund or some issue. Next thing you know, they’ve tricked you into sending them money instead of fixing anything. 😒
The Red Flags You Shouldn’t Ignore:
• Rushing You: If someone is pressuring you to send money fast, that’s a big sign it’s a scam. They thrive on making you act before you think. 🤔
• Asking for Payment on Peer-to-Peer Apps. Cash in person is best when there’s so many scams out there! Make sure you know they have a good reputation in the community. ‼️
How to Not Get Screwed Over:
• Send Money Only to People You Know: If you don’t know them personally, don’t trust them. Period. Ask people you trust about them! 🥰
• Double-Check Everything: Think you’re sending money to a friend? Call them first to be sure. You’d rather be safe than sorry. 🤓
• Too Good to Be True? IT IS: Those deals that seem like a steal? Yeah, they’re the ones stealing from you. Maybe sourcing cheapest isn’t best…. 🤔🤔🤔
‼️ Don’t let these scammers get away with it. Be smart, be cautious, and don’t trust anyone who’s too pushy or demands payment for certain goodies up front!! Once you send that money, there’s usually no getting it back!! ‼️
Mush love and be safe!

Make A Dash
One of the biggest fears of companies advertising during the Super Bowl is that no one will remember them. Actually, the fear goes deeper…it is highly possible for viewers to miss an ad completely. It is unreasonable to expect people to sit perfectly still for about four hours, taking in every play and advertisement. No can do.
And at $7 million for 30 seconds, this problem becomes critically important. To see just how difficult it is for an advertiser to sink its talons into you, watch any sporting event or even just a linear TV show tonight, and then tomorrow morning, try to remember the ads. It will be tough, even after I have primed you for the task. One study showed that viewers only remember up to a tenth of the ads they saw in the preceding 24-hour period. Good luck.
But DoorDash has quite possibly found a way to overcome this obstacle. They are making sure eyeballs stay focused by gamifying its ad. Of course, we don’t know exactly what time during the game their ad will air, which makes it even more intense. One lucky viewer who can crack a special code in DoorDash’s ad, and enters it on a special website built just for the game, will win one of every product and service advertised during the game.
That’s a lot of loot. It may lean heavily into snack foods and beverages, but Kia is going to be advertising vehicles.
Tumblr media
I don’t know that I have seen such viewer engagement with an ad since the CoinBase QR code brought down the internet a couple of years ago. And the point of requiring people to focus on the DoorDash ad is to inform viewers that DoorDash can and does deliver anything and everything, not just your dinner. They report having two million items available on their app.
There will be more than 50 advertisers on this Super Bowl, most of which are national companies paying the steep price of admission, but also some local companies that get in for much less because they will only be seen locally. You have to do something drastic to stand out in this crowd, and DoorDash may very well have cracked that code in the process.
As for DoorDash, they are trying to break free of the impression that they are only in the food delivery business. When they started out ten years ago, that was the truth, but in recent years they have added many non-foods. This comes at a time when Uber, which has positioned itself as being in the transportation business, added food to its P2P taxi service, and then non-foods as well.
Critics may scoff that we have increasingly become a nation of lazy people, too busy to go to stores and restaurants. No, home delivery is a tool just like spreadsheets and calculators are for accountants. Anything that can get jobs done faster is a good thing, and it doesn’t matter if it is balancing the books, or balancing the demands of a busy life.
I like this campaign a lot, and it has my attention. In fact, that’s what DoorDash needs to be focusing on intently in the week leading up to the big game. People need to know to be watching for the ad during the game, because if they don’t, they may have just stepped out to get another beer.
I’ll be watching for this one. A new Kia might be nice.

Quite Contrary - Part 2
Go in, she's desperate for the money
Mary's eyes dart between the pinging phone, her one source of livelihood and in desperate need for an upgrade, and the dark foyer, the place where she might just be murdered by a "Jake." She can't afford to give up the money, and if she doesn't survive this delivery, well, no more worries about her debt, her mother, or anything else ever again.
She extends her arm, holding the bundle of burgers like a bag of garbage. Then, Mary walks to the foyer and shines her phone's flashlight. The door is ajar, and all it reveals are shoes and coats.
Oh. Nothing dangerous. As far as she can see, which is not very far.
Mary just needs to put the food in and skedaddle. Easy. Safe. Yeah.
The burgers (and her hand) cross the threshold. The green door creaks near her right shoulder.
Mary blinks, almost expecting an attack, but nothing happens. She lowers the package and intends to back away and laugh at her own silliness, maybe tweet about her being a big chicken, get a couple of likes out of it. She deposits the burgers on the floor and is about to retreat when movement blinks in the far side of the hallway, among the dark.
Run, run, run NOW!
Something clasps her wrist and yanks her whole body forward, and Mary loses her footing.
She barely has time to think, and then the floor is there, very soft, very wet. Mary dashes up, ready to fight or, better, flee through the door and leave a bad review on the app.
But there is nowhere to flee and nobody to fight.
Mary stands in a clearing. The burgers are gone. The house is gone. The city is also not there.
There are a lot of trees. She doesn't know any tree names, but even if she did, it would not make things easier.
Her phone has no signal.
Well, fuck.
The green door is there behind her, alone and out of place. No house attached, either. Mary pulls, pushes, kicks, and shoves. The lion knocker mocks her with a wide grin that might not have been there before.
Mary collapses on the mossy ground, on top of a small package. The place is everything a forest should be, but it shouldn't be, and that's the issue. Her mind spins and swirls. Is she dead?
This idea doesn't take hold. She is quite warm here in her leather jacket and needs a snack. If Mary is in Narnia, she has to start moving.
She is loath to leave the door, so she decides to walk a little to the front and see what she can spot.
As Mary advances, she glances at the door. It remains in place, but things can no longer be trusted.
She wanders around, tries to keep eyes on the door, but it blends into the green all around a few steps in. Her breath catches. Mary runs across the trees. Find it, find it now. She was walking up, no, down, it's hard to keep track. Mary darts around like a little girl lost in a mall, stifling tears of horror.
She keeps going until something else knocks her down. A red door, new and shiny, out of place. This one is red, but the knocker is also a lion, eyes closed, slumbering. Mary yanks on the knob.
The lion head opens its eyes and looks at Mary. She screams, but the forest drowns it out.
"You wish for gold," the lion says. "Do your work, and you shall be rewarded."
There is really nothing Mary can say to the lion. She gapes until the knocker opens its jaws and bites down. Her blood flows between the teeth, and she really doesn't know her hand got to its mouth. She yanks it down out of instinct and cradles the limb, now much heavier than it was moments ago. Blood drips on the grass, on her company-issued shoes and uniform.
"You can walk through the doors unassisted now," says the lion. "And through doors you shall walk."
"I don't understand what's happening!"
"Understanding is not required of you, human child. But you will have to pay your debt in full."
There are a lot of things Mary wants to ask, scream, demand. They crowd her mouth and get stuck on the way out. However, the lion closes its eyes, back to its slumber, and the red door moves slightly ajar.
Mary yanks it open. Behind, she recognizes the alley! She walks through, whimpering, hot tears burning her cheeks.
She is back where she started. On the other side of the street, there is a man who is looking at her with genuine shock. He looks from behind a green door, a small hallway with shoes and coats, and in his hand, he holds a knife.
There is only one way to get away, and Mary runs out of the alley. The man's footsteps begin pounding behind seconds later. She dashes to the street, empty. There was a subway to the right.
On the left, there is an even bigger street, with shops and cafés. Her hand is bleeding. She has to run to safety and then process the whole thing with the forest and the lion.
The man shouts for her to stop, and his voice radiates red fury.

Customer service...
So last night, I didn't feel like cooking, was all muckey from cleaning out the pond, so I didn't feel like going anywhere either. And it's warm, high 70s which is odd for Michigan this time of year. Mind you, I don't do the doordash thing or anything like that, with the exception of Panera Bread who uses them exclusively. Hey, how about sandwiches? We haven't gotten Jimmy John's in quite a while, and they have that caprese sub that sounds really good. I totally have a thing for balsamic drizzle and fresh mozzarella blobs.
I get on the app, I place my order for delivery, I wait patiently. I get a call from the restaurant. "Hi this is Jimmy John's, I'm calling to let you know that I'm voiding your order, we don't have a driver on Tuesdays". Click.
Umm... I'm sorry? We apologize? We can still make it but you have to come get it, and we'll credit the delivery fee? No, none of that. Hi there, we're voiding your order, click. A statement of fact. To be fair, in this day and age, with the declining standards of customer service being what they are, I should probably be grateful that they called at all. Didn't leave me hanging for 2 or 3 hours wondering where the hell my sandwiches were.
Like, I know everyone has staffing shortages, I know nobody wants to work, blah blah blah I get all that. But at the very least acknowledging hey, this is a bullshit situation that we're putting you in, apologizing for same would absolutely be appropriate, like I'm not one of those people who demands free food and gift cards and shit when I'm mildly inconvenienced, it's not about that. Just acknowledging that you're putting me in a lurch. Apologizing for the epitome of poor customer service. It's dinner time. I'm not ordering your sandwiches for my health. Or because I'm looking for something to fill the counter. I'm hungry!
More to the point, if you don't have a driver on Tuesdays to the extent that this is just a thing, not the driver called in today, but this store doesn't have a driver on tuesdays, why the hell am I able to order delivery through the app? Why doesn't it say delivery is not available? I've seen it do that before. You're not helping your cause here people. I serve the public for a living, I am a very easy customer. I put up with far more shit than I rightfully should. But there comes a point where it's like hey, this is bullshit, and I'm tired of just sitting back and pretending it isn't. 🥔

I do completely agree with what Nina says but I wanted to comment on the tweet itself, which for me it's the epitome of being in a capitalistic society. Money should provide security and stability: being able to pay rent, to ride the public transport, eating your groceries and getting health services. BUT until we don't understand that we are not happy with consumerism and consumerism is the reason WHY we don't have money, we won't be able to be out of the capitalistic society and strive for something else.
And god, the tweet is completely US centric too. Like:
- You DON'T need the guilt-free occasional food service. You need food and if you want to splurge in going to a restaurant, you should and you need money for that, sure. But food service is precarious to the workers who deliver the food, it cuts ties with socialization because you are not socializing with either the restauranr staff nor the friends who might accompany you. If you are a person who can't move and need the food delivery, ofc that is necessary. But food delivery in itself it's something that the capitalistic world has pushed onto us as a "nice thing to enjoy" when in reality it alienates society and creates precarious jobs and destroys neighbourhoods and LIFE outside apps and money, which is where the people is easier to control. Say NO. Socialize! Or go to the restaurant alone! Just be MINDFUL of what your guilt-free splurge is helping too. (You can read the big lawsuit in Spain with Glovo, for example, and the condition of the workers.)
- You can afford going out with friends WITHOUT money. Again, it is a capitalistic notion that you can't do anything without money. Go to a park. Invite them home. Cook your own supper. Go to museums (ig they are free), go on a stroll down the road, sit on a bench. Of course you can (and should, if you want) spend money on getting out. But it's NOT the only way to enjoy friendship and not having money does not mean you cannot do those.
- Hiring a service: I mean, yes, but...
Like, I know some countries are like this. I know in the US transportation is what it is, cities are planned the way are planned. But it hurts to see that sometimes they just need money to do BASIC things. Live more fully. And so they get the money and they are happy because they get to do the things they couldn't do without money and those are things so basic, so incredibly human, that nobody dares to stop the capitalistic machine to DEMAND those things FOR FREE. We all do this, in sll the world but in the US i feel like this is exarberated. But people could live differently. There are ways of living differently and people should fight for them. And they can do it individualistically because if there is something inherent to capitalism is that they will do what's necessary to get more offer to the demand.

How to Market Your Grocery Delivery App to Stand Out in a Competitive Market
When I first started diving into the world of grocery delivery apps, I realized how saturated and competitive this market truly is. But, I also learned that with the right marketing strategies, it’s entirely possible to make your app shine like a diamond in the rough. Whether you're running a restaurant, a small business, or managing enterprise operations, here’s how I’d approach marketing your grocery delivery app to rise above the competition.
1. Understand Your Audience
Before anything else, I’d take the time to dig into who my audience is. Are they busy parents, single professionals, or seniors who prefer the convenience of doorstep deliveries? Knowing this helps me shape my Grocery Delivery App Development to address their specific pain points.
For example, if I were targeting working professionals, I’d highlight features like quick deliveries and seamless scheduling in my marketing. A clear understanding of the audience ensures the app truly meets their needs.
2. Craft a Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
What sets your app apart? I’ve learned that having a unique value proposition is a game-changer. Whether it’s offering hyper-local produce, eco-friendly packaging, or an unbeatable delivery time, these differentiators become the cornerstone of your marketing.
For instance, when promoting a White Label Grocery Delivery App Development, I’d emphasize the flexibility it offers businesses to brand the app their way while still maintaining robust features. This appeals to enterprises looking for customization without compromising on quality.
3. Leverage Social Media to Build Buzz
If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that social media is a powerhouse for engagement. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and even TikTok can be great for showcasing the best aspects of your app. I’d post fun, behind-the-scenes content, customer testimonials, and even special promotions.
Incorporating keywords like “On Demand Grocery Delivery App Development” into posts and hashtags ensures better visibility. For example, sharing a quick clip of a delivery with a caption like “Your groceries, just a tap away! Experience seamless service with our on-demand grocery delivery app.”
4. Offer Launch Promotions and Referral Bonuses
When I’m launching something new, I know the importance of creating excitement. I’d roll out introductory discounts, free delivery for the first few orders, or even referral bonuses for current users. These incentives not only attract new users but also encourage word-of-mouth marketing.
For small businesses, I’d emphasize how White Label Grocery Delivery App Development ensures you can launch with features like loyalty programs or promo codes baked right in.
5. Partner with Local Businesses
Collaborating with local stores, farmers, and restaurants has been one of my favorite strategies. I’d approach local grocery stores and offer to feature their products exclusively on my app. This gives them an added digital presence while boosting my app’s appeal.
When promoting Grocery Delivery App Development, I’d also stress the importance of these partnerships in local marketing campaigns to build trust within the community.
6. Use Paid Ads and SEO to Drive Traffic
I’d never underestimate the power of paid advertising and a strong SEO game. Investing in Google Ads or social media campaigns targeting phrases like “On Demand Grocery Delivery App Development” ensures my app stays top of mind.
On the SEO side, I’d make sure my website and blog content focus on keywords like “White Label Grocery Delivery App Development,” making it easier for businesses and users alike to find me when searching for solutions.
7. Emphasize User Experience (UX)
All the marketing in the world won’t help if users don’t enjoy the app. That’s why I’d prioritize ensuring the app is user-friendly, fast, and bug-free. Regular updates, feedback integration, and stellar customer service go a long way in earning loyal users who’ll rave about your app.
Final Thoughts
Marketing a grocery delivery app can feel overwhelming at first, but with a clear strategy and a focus on delivering value, it becomes manageable—and even fun! Whether it’s through creative social media posts, partnerships with local businesses, or highlighting the robust features of your app, there’s plenty of room to stand out.
If you’re looking to get started or enhance your Grocery Delivery App Development, just remember: it’s all about understanding your audience, playing to your strengths, and delivering an experience they won’t forget. And with solutions like White Label Grocery Delivery App Development or On Demand Grocery Delivery App Development, the possibilities are endless!
