I feel like I'm going absolutely insane, but. Those stupid little wooden pencils that schools issue out or that you'd buy specifically because they're allowed, like the HB standard exam ones or whatever. It feels very wrong to write or draw with them unless all the paint is stripped from the exterior, right? Like it doesn't matter how sharp they are, it's all this stupid, glossy, blunt feeling graphite that doesn't make any of the marks right?

It's kind of suspicious how many people reduce the tme/tma double standard as mere internet discourse when the disparity is obviously far wider offline. The most tone deaf takes are definitely those who are obtuse enough to perceive it as a new way to figure people's genitals as if cis men weren't tme and/or as if post-op trans women didn't exist. It's not bioessentialist to recognize trans women singular lived experiences as such. And if "bioessentialism" was that much of a problem I'd see more people give the kind of guilt trippy comments my roommate get when she mentions prioritising tma people for potential roommates, but nah, apparently it's ok to do selective scapegoating to maintain an artificial sense of safety against certain kind of fearmongering, but it's exclusion if it's against me and people like me.
