"(...) I had a nice time, too. We should do this again.” Tommy says, turning fully towards Buck, and Buck’s eyes immediately find his lips. He can’t wait to kiss him again, and this would be the time, at the end of the date, wouldn’t it? “We should.” Buck nods, licks his lips, eyes darting up to Tommy’s eyes. He’s smiling softly, just looking at Buck. “I-” he starts, and then thinks, fuck it, and this time he’s the one to make a move, as he leans across the console to grab Tommy’s chin, like he did Buck’s in his kitchen, and bring him in for a kiss. Tommy immediately reciprocates, and Buck melts against him, and then when Tommy’s calloused hand covers his cheek, it just feels so- so different, in the best way possible. This kiss lasts longer than the first one, both of them constantly coming back for more, but it’s as gentle and tender as that one. Buck loves it, and can’t help smiling into it. He wants more. “Hey.” Buck says, finally pulling away, licks his spit-covered lips nervously. “Do you- do you maybe wanna come in for a beer?” he asks shyly, and at Tommy’s surprised expression and raised eyebrow he realizes it might sound like he’s inviting him for more than a beer, and he panics again. “I- I- I mean, just a beer. One beer. And maybe- maybe more of this.” he pecks Tommy’s lips again, not able to resist a smile. “But just a beer. I don’t think I’m ready- But who knows, maybe- I mean, not that I don’t want to-” he stumbles over his words, because the truth is, he wants Tommy, he wants… he wants so much, he wants to experience so much for the first time – it’s just that he’s not sure if it’s not too quick for this relationship, and for him. He’d lie if he said he didn’t want to be all over this hot man as fast as possible, though. But it makes him nervous, too, and for the first time in forever when it comes to relationships, he feels inexperienced and a little insecure. “Evan.” Tommy interrupts, bringing his other hand up, now cradling Buck’s face in both, thumbs moving soothingly along Buck’s cheekbones. “Your pace, remember? No pressure, no rush.” “You’re really cool, you know that?” Buck whispers. “So I keep hearing.” Tommy chuckles, his nose scrunching with it, and it’s adorable. He kisses Buck again, and the butterflies in Buck’s stomach go crazy. Fuck, he doesn't remember the last time he felt this giddy and excited and just light. “I’d love to come in for a beer.”

oh BIG MOOD. i was obSESSED with warrior cats for AGES. like. lowkey baby's first true hyperfixation. i deVOURED those books. they were typically too expensive for my family to buy (esp coz there were SOO many of them) so every time a new one would come out i'd beg my mom to bring me to the bookstore and then i'd straight up just sit in the aisle and read the entire thing then and there.

warrior cats is definitely, like, a huge part of what truly got me into drawing/writing/storytelling. i used to dedicate hours to illustrating scenes from those books. i had four HUGE handmade posters up on my wall as a tween with each and every cat from each and every clan that i'd update as the allegiances changed in the books. i used to design 'warriorsonas' for each and every one of my classmates because i was a super normal child. warriors is how i got into roleplaying, which was definitely a huge influence on my writing-- i read in an interview when i was, like, 11 that the erins sometimes got inspiration for warrior names from roleplay sites, and i was like!!!!! omg i have to start roleplaying on roleplay sites so that one of my warrior names get into the books!!!!

but i still obSESSIVELY roleplayed online for YEARS, i'd draw all my characters and draw my friends' characters, too, and scenes from the rps. we'd all write PARAGRAPHS upon paragraphs with, like, proper grammar and everything (because at that age and in those circles, roleplaying *with actions in asteriks* and stuff was CRINGE and everyone KNEW that the LONGER you wrote the BETTER your writing was, obvs, and that was the only factor--) i spent, like, every waking moment on this massive chatroom-based site called kugyay that had, like, hundreds and thousands of users in its heyday. granted, like, most people had more than one account (so you could have a custom profile for each character, obvi) but i remember everyone freaked out when we hit more than 10,000 accounts.

i could talk about my experience with warrior cats and all my various ocs for... like.... ages. also like. this is random and won't mean anything to most people, esp coz i only posted, like, a few pages about it, but i also want y'all to know that this graphic novel that i desperately want to bring to life and do justice someday and that i've dedicated SOOO much time thinking about is... like....... 1000% inspired by/based on warrior cats lowkey. like. i am infected. forever and ever.

Rollo really is left with the age-old devices: imagination and hands.

He would be such a fun person to mess with! It doesn't even have to be in a romantic or lewd way. Just really random and friendly silliness. Rollo is always annoyed when the two of you get together to study (whether at a café or at the library or even in either of your dorms) and it ends with the both of you debating the best food in the world, favorite gargoyles at Noble Bell, best things to do during festivals, etc. Somehow he always finds himself getting roped into your nonsense and as a result the work/studying never gets done. Yet oddly enough his mind feels so clear afterwards. It's as if the nonsensical conversations are what he needs to de-stress and take his mind off of other troublesome things.

Or when the two of you somehow end up having too many inside jokes because of how much you tease and joke around with him. It's gotten to the point where his classmates think that your every gesture is some secret code because you and Rollo are so close and friendly (he'll write all of them up if he must so they'll stop gossiping! >:( but secretly he likes it when you playfully wink and poke at him; your presence is just what he needs to relax from the stress of school life).

Or when you do flirt with him and he really thinks something more is going to come of it, but then you'll flick his nose or steal his hat and run off, and he's left to chase after you, all while reprimanding you that disturbing the peace is highly frowned upon at Noble Bell! As the student council president, he won't allow you to cause trouble. Though he claims that, he always lets you off with a light warning. It seems the unshakable Rollo has a soft spot for you. But how could he not when you spend so much of your time with him? He's bound to soften when he gets to know you more.

Rollo will never admit it, but he enjoys chasing after you. When he catches up and scolds you for every childish disruption, he falls even further into love and he doesn't even realize it. You just seem to be good at charming him and he's weak to your upbeat nature. His diary is filled with neat scribbles of the daily occurrences that make him happy, and unsurprisingly your name is detailed in nearly every entry.

HUGE WIN !! one of the ladies at the group brought in a plastic bag full of cotton yarn and I spotted a small crochet hook in there (definitely a size I don't have yet, yay!!) and she was hoping someone would be able to take it off her hands because we don't have a thrift store anymore to give things to, and none of the other ladies were interested so I said I'd love to take it and I'd find a good use for it !!! YIPPEEEE !!

my very strong philosophy that i need to perceive my characters as real people in order to feel like i can write them at the depth a novel needs + i try to see expand my view of them as far as possible so they have a life an existence that a novel only snapshots a part of + this being a big part of my writers identity bc my relationship with my characters is very important to me is still very real but also very funny now because i've realised when it comes to short fiction i do not give a fuck like that. like i put everything into my characters bc i think making complex characters/relationships is my best skill but they are nothing but names to me (and i barely name my protagonists cause i just dont give a fuck if its not needed) and shadows reflecting an idea i thought was cool. like the way with novels i'll say felix and beau and dorothy are my best friends and they've just granted me access to their stories and i can't imagine how i'd go through life without thinking about them and their lives...then with short fiction the characters are just dolls that i throw out once i'm done with them
