Oh shit omg I FINALLY got to watch a few episodes of Scavenger's Reign and it is 100% My Kind Of Shit, there was even a fucking Akira reference, I do NOT miss the Akira references no matter how subtle lol (it's when the lady hallucinates her guts spilling out, which i wouldn't really call subtle tbfh). Anyway yah im probably not gonna see anymore for a while (as I've said before, I don't pay for streaming services and I also don't know how to pirate without fucking everything up) but it is marked and highlighted in my brain as something I REALLY want to finish watching *deletes rant about the Good Old Days of physical media* and yah, like everything about it is fucking stunning, equal parts intriguing and horrific, I love that they so accurately convey the feeling of nature as like.. well, uncaring, just like it can be on Earth? There can be good and beautiful and useful things, but just as easily, there can be things can hurt and kill you without even acknowledging you. You can be food, or an accidental intruder, or just in the fucking way, and there's no malice in it but also no understanding of your pain, like I think we can all agree few things would be worse than being eaten alive by some bear or big cat that doesn't know the meaning of a humane death. And yah to put all that into a completely alien setting- and it feels.. 'believable' is a weird word to use but yah, like.. well thought out? Like they really brainstormed and researched and put time and effort into creating a ecosystem that's alien enough to look and act bizarre af, but not bizarre enough that we can't understand the roles the various flora and fauna are standing in for.

I do need to find out wtf that little raisiny frog guy was doing with all those orbs tho, like who tf... Wat You Doin Little Guy?????? And then he dies like :p oh well, guess we'll never know, but I do have an inkling of an idea that it's gonna be bad:3 (DONT tell me, I will be SO mad if u tell me)
