Ooo, fun facts or trivia! This one is super hard bc I feel like every mega OPM fan already knows the trivia and I’d just be preaching to the choir, but I’m gonna think on it!! Might have to result to personal opm facts u know?
1. I first found out about OPM when I saw a commercial for season one on adult swim and thought it looked really creative and funny
2. It’s my second manga ever! I tried reading Sailor moon but only got two volumes in bc I hated it :/ was too girly and convoluted to me
3. My pop got volume one for my 13th birthday! I remember unboxing it and being like :0 it was a Halloween b day party too 😏😏
4. A few months after I started opm I drew Saitama’s face in sharpie on a craft egg and he was my first OPM toy/figure(?). Still have him somewhere! I tried to draw Genos too but his face was too squished
5. I have a dvd of season one that’s just the normal edition and a bootleg af version with the OVAS that my uncle got from god knows where. The OVAS are only in Japanese tho :/
6. I have a miniature cottagecore house for my Sai and Genos nendos!! I’ve talked a little about it before but never posted pics for it bc tumblr kept messing it up. I’ll try to show it soon tho! It’s got an overhead light, oranges and orange leaf wallpaper, tiny pictures of fubuki, Garou, Mumen, etc, hanging pots, fake moss on the outside, windows, Keith haring art, tiny teacups, a picture of saitama punching Nick Wilde that I got off tumblr (I’ll try to link it if I can find it) and so much more. I just now thought of putting up some gay flags in there, like why haven’t I thought of that before?? I’ll prob put up and mlm flag for Genos and a demi flag for Sai bc that’s how I hc them. I’m very proud of the house and I’m always adding onto it :) OO and I like to pose my nendos every now and then, tho I’ve posed them so many times that I’m running out of ideas 😭
7. I have a really cute lanyard I got years ago at a comic con that I never wear bc when DO you wear a lanyard? Wore it recently tho bc I was bored. Its got Sai Genos Tatsu Mumen and fubuki on the strap in chibi, they’re so cute.
8. Including posters, official Murata art, fan art, my art and posters, I have 10 opm things hanging around my room. It’s unhealthy I know 😃
9. I started with the manga, watched s1 of the anime then s2 when it came out years later and finally decided to check the wc after. If you had to make me choose, I’d choose the manga. I love the webcomic but the manga is more solid (not completely of course) and just more fun to read. Tho the webcomic IS fantastic don’t get me wrong, ONE is a great artist. The anime is pretty good, I’m still sad they had to cut s2’s budget but I love it anyway. THO I HATE HOW THEY TRANSLATED THE SAITAMA SAVING EVERYONE FROM CENTICHORO SCENE BC THEY TOTALLY DIDNT GET THE DRAMATIC LOVESICK LOOK ON GENOS FACE AND THE SURPRISED LOOK ON SAITAMA LIKE THAT SCENE WAS SO ICONIC AND THEY FUCKED IT I—sorry. Still upset.
10. I used to hate Tatsumaki Amai and Suiryu! Suiryu is still on thin ice bc he gives me such arrogant fuck boy vibes. Tatsumaki has grown so much in the current arc and even the arc before it and I just love her so much, even if she’s mean. Amai is a sick but he’s loveable and an interesting one you know? Especially bc of the webcomic. Used to get annoyed by Fubuki but now I’m in love with her LOL
11. I straight up thought Sonic was a girl until I watched the dub and heard his voice 💀
That’s about all I can think of! Sorry if this totally isn’t what you asked for, just a little lost on how to talk about fresh trivia u know? Thanks for ur ask tho :)

can you do hc of how the losers came about?????
Oh my GOD i would Love to!! this is really really long I’m so sorry but yeah I have SO many thoughts. (wc on this? 2k)
So Richie has the most in depth story with his parents so i’ll quickly cover it. He was born in Italy on March 7 1975, and when he was 20 months old he moved from Italy to New York.
He has a slight Italian/New Yorker accent or at least sounds like this.
His family moved to Derry when he was 6. He started first grade in Derry. That’s when he met Stan.
Stan moved from Israel because his parents thought it would help him lead a more interesting life if he was in America.
However, Stan only spoke Arabic. He knew maybe 20 words in English.
So Stan, 6, sits down in this room, watching his mother converse with the teacher, talking slowly to make sure she’s saying all the right things.
Stan felt a tap on his shoulder and looked to his left to see a little boy with a big toothy grin, oversized clothes and glasses, talking to him.
Stan didn’t want to be rude and ignore him, so he turned to the boy as he started to fire off talking in English.
Richie spoke mostly English but Italian was his first language.
(When he gets angry, or scared, he shrieks in Italian. He curses off teachers in Italian and also sometimes murmurs in Italian when he’s not thinking about it.)
So Richie is talking to Stan and Stan thinks it’s funny, this boy trying to speak to him. Stan was probably one of the only poc in the class.
His mother came back up to him and gently told him that everything would be fine, and she would see him at the end of the day.
Stanley wasn’t exactly thrilled that his mother was leaving him next to the little boy, but it certainly was funny to see the little boy’s face screw up in confusion at the sound of Mrs. Uris’ voice.
The boy suddenly reached over behind Stan and grabbed at his kippah, making Stan yelp. The boy pulled back, looking embarrassed and slightly afraid.
Stan carefully pulled it off and showed it to the boy. “Kippah.” he mumbled, pointing at it. “Stan’s kippah.”
“Stan? is that your name?” the boy asked.
Stan was a smart kid. He picked up on things fairly quickly. He understood what the boy was saying.
“…I’m Stan.” he said.
“I’m Richie!!” came the reply.
Stan, having no interest in making any other friends, followed Richie around all day. He didn’t care for the other kids. He and Richie drew little pictures all day.
(Probably like this)
Richie would straight up take Stan’s hand and walk him around. Stan didn’t mind. He quite liked Richie. Richie was fun and didn’t mind Stan not talking too much. He had lots of snacks he shared with Stan and drew lots of nice pictures.
At the end of the day, Richie, who still was holding Stan’s hand, walked home by himself! Which scared Stan a bit.
Stan didn’t know where he was though, because his mother drove him to school, and by the time they got to Richie’s house, Stan was crying.
“Stanny? What’s wrong?”
Stan wasn’t sure how to say it, so he just started crying out for his mother.
Richie sat Stan on the porch of his large, blue house and quickly shouted through the screen door: “Ma! Daddy!! Stanny is lost!!”
Obviously Mr.and Mrs. Tozier come out of the house, really confused. Stan decided that he quite liked the whole Tozier family, too. Mr. Tozier gently ran his fingers through Stan’s hair and led him to the car. Mrs. Tozier gave him some cookies and sang a few songs quietly, and even though Stan didn’t really understand what she was singing about, he still loved it.
They drove Stan back to the school, where a few teachers and Mrs. Uris were scrambling around looking for Stan, who jumped out of the car and ran to them, not crying anymore but still very distressed.
Richie apologized to Stan profusely, saying he just wanted to be Stan’s friend.
Mrs Tozier and Mrs Uris talked for a few minutes, and then started to laugh. Turns out the woods in their backyards connected directly. They were practically neighbours.
Stan wrapped his arms around Richie, who danced a little as they hugged.
“You’re my friend.” Stan said it like it was a declaration.
After that, the two were inseparable. Stan and Richie would play in the woods of their backyards and have a lot of sleepovers and play dates. In grade three, Richie actually threw a temper tantrum when he wasn’t put in the same class as Stan.
Richie taught most of the English Stan knows. Stan also knows enough Italian and he could curse out a teacher too. Richie knows a little bit of Arabic, but Stan rarely speaks it outside of talking to his parents (mostly his dad) so not much.
Frequently, they fell asleep under a tree, curled up next to each other or held hands as they walked around. They had nicknames for each other. Stan called Richie Bubba (Which means Brother) and Richie called Stan Mr. Man (Which turned into Stan the Man as they got older) or Stanny.
When they were 8, someone new moved into town. It was a little boy named William, who went by Bill. He had a baby brother and he was taller than both Stan and Richie.
Bonus: Richie still had wild ginger curls at this point (bc 1990 richie had ginger hair) and even at 8 he knew he was going to be a comedian and he sometimes wore a bowtie to school.
Richie invited Bill to Richie and Stan’s spot under a big tree.
Bill moved from Ohio. His parents moved because of reasons that they never told Bill about. Bill didn’t mind too much. He liked Stan and Richie. They reminded him of movie protagonists. The underdogs who make it big.
Bill didn’t like that Stan and Richie were bullied. He watched as they pulled at Stan’s hair and called him lots of names like “Dusty” and “Indian”. Richie was called “foureyes” and “Bucky Beaver” and frequently pushed.
If there was one thing that was consistent throughout Bill’s life, it’s that he has 0% tolerance for assholes.
He stood up for Stan and Richie, pushing past them and yelling at the kids to leave them alone.
They three hung out a lot. Bill knew he would never be as close to either of them as they were to each other, and Bill lived a bike ride away from them, but he still loved them dearly.
(one time, Stan went to call Bill William, but called him Billiam instead.)
Richie and Stan were hanging out one day when they were 9, almost 10, when Mrs. Tozier answers a phone and then promptly put the two of them in the car.
Richie and Stan were very confused, and it turned into scared when they pulled up in front of the hospital.
Mrs. Tozier very carefully explained that Bill got into a car accident, and wanted Richie and Stan to visit him.
Richie and Stan, of course, took this as a Bill’s fucking Dead. and proceeded to run through the hospital and into Bill’s room as fast as possible.
Bill was okay, he broke his foot and a doctor explained he was going to have trouble speaking for probably the rest of his life, but when Bill saw them, he smiled at Richie and Stan.
It was then that Richie decided to teach Bill the art of the pencil.
While Bill was bedridden, he spent nearly his entire time writing stories and drawing things.
He and Richie made a comic together called “the Tale of the Bug-eyed Boy” and it was about a little boy who had eyes like a flea.
While visiting Bill, Richie noticed a little boy sitting across from him in a small waiting room. He had brown hair that had been carefully combed over, a small bag attached to his waist and he was sitting perfectly still and straight.
Richie, being the social butterfly he is, bounced over and put his hand out to shake. “I’m Richie! And you?”
The boy stared at Richie’s hand like it made him uncomfortable. “Eddie.”
Richie tried to talk to Eddie, going so far as to offer him some candy, for maybe 10 minutes until a woman shrieked at the sight and pulled Eddie away from
Richie with an iron grip. Richie watched in profound confusion as the woman, which Richie guessed to be Eddie’s mother, lectured Eddie on talking to strangers and how horrid, filthy boys could get him sick. Being called horrid and filthy made Richie feel like he had been slapped across the face.
Eddie, however, waved at Richie gently as they walked away.
At school the following week, Bill was back (though he was on crutches) and him, Richie and Stan were sitting at a table (as it was the winter time) when a shy looking boy was pushed to the ground nearby, and called a Fairy.
Bill, with no warning or common sense, got up and hit the bully with one of his crutches. The bully, a 7th grader named Henry, spat something at Bill and stomped off.
The boy looked up at Bill in total awe, and stood up to introduce himself as Eddie.
Bill brought Eddie over to the table with Stan and Richie. Eddie was almost pleased to meet Richie again, and he and Stan seemed to have very similar habits.
This led to the four being best friends. Stan and Bill were both liked by Mrs. Kaspbrak, and Richie was tolerated at best.
By the time the boys were in 7th grade, and puberty started, Richie had gained the title Trashmouth by not only the Loser’s Club (Which at this time only had 4 members) but by almost every student in the school.
Richie had a habit of pointing out Beverly Marsh, and the rumours about her, almost every time she walked by.
Beverly moved to Derry with her father after the divorce of her parents. Her mother tried to get custody over her, but ultimately failed, leaving Beverly with her father.
The rumours started around 6th or 7th grade, and no matter how many times she denied it, no one believed her.
Beverly had no friends, but there were a few people that she talked to every now and then. Like Stan, from music class. Stan didn’t seem to necessarily like Beverly, but he certainly didn’t like anyone even half as much.
Richie was in Beverly’s art class and they had a complicated relationship. Richie made a lot of jokes at her expense, probably because she never really retaliated. But Bev noticed how he never looked for her reaction. He looked around at people how laughed at it. She knew he was doing it for attention.
And, she knew how to do it back.
Bill was in her English class. He was an amazing author, she had read some of his work, but he never presented any of it. She had caught him staring at her a couple of times, and she always wondered if he remembered their kiss back in 3rd grade, shortly after Bill had moved there. She wondered if he regretted kiss the whore that she was now known to be.
When Ben moved there, in 8th grade, he talked to almost no one. He never really felt the need to. He and his mom moved there for business reasons.
He did, however talk to someone who went to the library almost as much as he did: Mike.
Mike lived in Derry his whole life, and didn’t really plan on leaving. He was home-schooled and worked a job so he didn’t have a lot of free time. He went to the library to work. Ben liked talking with Mike. Mike was kind and compassionate and sometimes brought baked goods to hand out to anyone who asked for one.
Mike liked Ben. Ben was quiet, and shy, but he was really smart, and treated Mike as an equal. They played a few rounds of chess, once, in the park.
Ben felt almost bad for staring at Beverly so much. But she was so beautiful. he wondered if he would ever have the courage to talk to her.
Ben had heard about one of his classmate’s brothers going missing. He knew who it was. Bill Denbrough. Bill and his friend’s Richie and Eddie were in his class.
Ben had a lot of respect for Richie. It was hard to laugh when someone was beating you up, as Ben saw he could do.
Ben had talked with Eddie a few times, Eddie was very fast. he talked very fast, he wrote very fast, he ran very fast. Not quite Ben’s speed.
Stan was probably the most diligent person Ben had ever spoken to. He was very quiet, not shy given the fact that Ben had watched him cuss out teachers plenty of times, but he always spoke to people like they were bugging him.
Ben liked Bill. Bill stood up for himself and his friends. Ben wondered what that would be like.
Mike had spoken with Richie several times. Mike quite liked Richie. He was tough. And he was funny. He biked by the farm sometimes, mostly at night or in the evenings. Mike stopped him once to ask if he was lost, and Richie had laughed and said “Just passin’ through, pard’ner” which in turn made mike chuckle.
Richie didn’t know Mike’s name, only as “The Homeschooled Kid”. But he referred to himself in 3rd person enough for Mike to know him.
Eddie and Mike spoke a few times too, but it was mostly small talk. Richie always had a new story to tell, while Eddie was a bit shy around Mike. Mike later learned it was because his mother told to “Stay away from those farm folk.”
Eddie had talked to Mike in the pharmacy, Eddie was waiting for refills and Mike was looking for good bandages. Eddie discussed it quietly with him, voice small, like he didn’t want to make Mike angry. Mike didn’t mind.
Bill had only spoken to Mike once, when he was looking for his little brother. Mike had heard about the disappearance of Georgie Denbrough the month prior, and how people were calling his brother “hysterical” for looking for him further.
Bill was very panicked, and eventually, Mike invited him inside for some coffee (Richie had told Mike that Bill drinks coffee. Black. “It’s fucking Crazy! I’m telling you!”) which Bill accepted. After that small afternoon, Mike didn’t see Bill until the rock war.
Beverly had passed through on her bike as well. Mike liked Beverly a lot. She was very nice. She was like Richie, in a way, having a few stories to tell, though she never told them as well as Richie did. But she always seemed to be looking out for something. Someone. It made Mike want to invite her inside and give her a safe place to stay. Just in case.
The Loser’s club (Richie, Stan, Bill and Eddie) always thought they would stay as just the four of them. On the last day of grade 8, they were proven wrong.
GOD This went on FOREVER but YEAH those are my thoughts!! you can ask me about my thoughts/hc on p much anything I’ll have some!!! thank you for asking! Sorry this took so long!
