Who are the hostages still held by Hamas?
On October 7, 2023, 253 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas and gazan civilians. Since then, 105 were released in a prisioner exchange deal, 4 were released by Hamas and 3 were rescued.
However, 60 remain in captivity [as of 02/09/24] (4 of those were kidnapped prior to 2023). A recent investigation has concluded that more than a fifth of the hostages are dead and the fate of some other hostages remains unknown. This video explains how doctors determine which hostages are dead, based on the nature of their injury and by analyising footage and the victims' last phone calls. Additionally, during the operation in Gaza, the IDF has recovered the bodies of a few victims and returned to their families for burial.
Since I couldn't find this all in one place, I've compiled a list of: 1) hostages who are presumed alive; 2) hostaged whose death has been reported/confirmed; 3) hostages who were released or rescued. In the group of hostages presumed to be alive who haven't been released, the youngest is 1-year-old Kfir Bibas and the oldest hostage is Iraqi-born 85-year old Shlomo Mansour.
As we learn more information, I'll continue to update this post.
They need to come back home. I'm hoping for more successful rescue operations soon. Keep them in your thoughts.

LMFAO another debunked claim. you mean the Hind Rajab blood libel?
troops were not even in this area when this “happened.” troops weren’t in the area in GENERAL, so it is likely hamas and PIJ were fighting as usual, killed this family, and they decided to blame the EvOl JeWs.
but the jews are always lying right?
if you care so much about kids, surely you’ll care about:

thank g-d amina recovered, but i doubt you give a shit about her and what she went through due to palestinian terrorism.
and Mila Cohen, the ten month old murdered by hamas with her father and grandmother?

or shahar, arbel, and omer siman tov, who were murdered by hamas with their parents?
or surely then, you care about ariel and kfir bibas, who were kidnapped by hamas and are still held in captivity?

i could go on? including the children murdered by palestinian terrorists in other attacks through the years? the pregnant women? the kindergartens targeted? the rape and torture and mutilation hamas did on oct 7?
the disabled kids killed by hamas on oct 7?
want the videos of them murdering family dogs just because they could? of them stabbing dead bodies and posing with them? the call made by a palestinian terrorist telling his parents he murdered 10 jews? of crowds of palestinians cheering while hostages were driven in? or the crowds of civilians kidnapping hostages?
you all say the idf loves killing kids while you quote fake ass numbers and fake stories in an attempt to bolster your claims. including videos with fake blood. meanwhile the disgusting nazis you support are the ones who murdered and kidnapped children with absolute PLEASURE.
🖕 fuck you, hamas supporting scum. you can’t gotcha me with blood libel.
also? sky news is a notorious antisemitic outlet. their reporting of oct 7?
https://honestreporting.com/hamas-offered-hope-sky-news-absurd-analysis-of-the-october-7-attacks/

yes mass murder is “hope.”
lmao you are all pathetic.
my friend @scartale-an-undertale-au replied to these claims months ago btw. and brilliantly.

by Seth Mandel
Civilians, including children and the elderly, were deliberately burned alive as part of a widespread tactic: The commission found that there were more wildfires detected in Israel on 10/7 than any other day except one in the previous decade. Here is what that looked like on the ground throughout the Gaza border communities: “In Nir Oz, 5 members of the Siman-Tov Family were killed after their house was set alight. This included Yonatan, 35, his wife Tamar, 36, their twins Shahar and Arbel, 5 and their youngest Omer, 2. As the safe room started filling with smoke, Yonatan texted his sister ‘they’re here. They’re burning us. We’re suffocating.’ He then opened the metal screen on the safe room window, but the gunmen immediately fired into the room, killing both parents. The children died from being burnt alive and asphyxiating. Yonatan’s mother, Carol Siman-Tov, 70, was also shot dead in another house on the Kibbutz, alongside her puppy Boxer.”
Not only were civilians targeted; they were chased on foot by Palestinian invaders until they were killed, such was the essential barbarity of the entire invasion. The report notes that Gazans were armed with grenades to blow up any place surviving civilians might be hiding. One example was Shani Gabay. She first fled at the firing of rockets from Gaza and took cover in a shelter—which was then attacked with guns and grenades by terrorists. Gabay survived that too, and fled in a car that was blown up by an RPG. Civilians were to be pursued until murdered regardless of time, effort, or cost.
The terrorists were proud of all this, filming their exploits and uploading the videos to social media. In Kibbutz Holit, for example, terrorists killed a mother next to her baby, then filmed themselves putting shoes on the baby and rocking him in his crib before taking him hostage. Then they booby-trapped the mother’s body.
Attempts to make it impossible to escape were part of the plan as well. By 8 a.m. on 10/7, Hamas had taken control of the main highway that runs through the border communities as well as its main intersections. The rocket barrage with which the terrorists began the attacks was meant to keep civilians in shelters and saferooms in their homes, making it harder for them to flee when armed militants showed up.
Perhaps the most chilling part of the report, however, is its explanation for why one key element of Hamas’s invasion never happened. Terrorists had brought with them shelf-stable food and thousands upon thousands of weapons, including trapping devices and anti-aircraft launchers, designed to help them hold positions inside Israel beyond the day of attack. Why didn’t this well-prepped and well-stocked occupation come to fruition? The report quotes the Royal United Services Institute explaining that “the chaotic massacre that unfolded diverted efforts to prepare for a deliberate defense.”
The “chaotic massacre” to which RUSI refers is, the report explains, multiple waves made up of “thousands of Gazan civilians, who followed Hamas troops through the border breaches and joined in the attacks on nearby communities.”
This is the civilian not as victim but as perpetrator—the role of, the report says, thousands of Gazan civilians. Many of those Gazans partaking in waves of looting and kidnapping “went back and forth across the border.” This doesn’t include those on the Gaza side who held hostages in their “civilian” homes.

Freed hostages warn renewed Gaza fighting risks lives of remaining Hamas captives
Freed hostages Yarden Bibas, Eliya Cohen and Omer Wenkert write on social media about the fears and trepidation they’re experiencing since Israel ended the ceasefire with Hamas and restarted strikes on Gaza early Tuesday morning. “Israel’s decision to return to fighting brings me back to Gaza, to the moments where I heard the sounds of explosions around me and where I feared for my life as I was afraid that the tunnel where I was being held would collapse,” Bibas writes in English on social media. “My wife and children were kidnapped alive and were brutally murdered in captivity. The military pressure endangers the hostages while an agreement brings them home.” Bibas shares an old photo of himself with longtime friends David Cunio and Ariel Cunio, brothers from Kibbutz Nir Oz who are still held hostage in Gaza. “I am petrified for my best friends, David and Ariel Cunio,” he says. “I lost my Shiri, Ariel and Kfir, but David can still return alive to Sharon, Emma and Yuli and Ariel to his partner Arbel Yehud and his family.” Eliya Cohen says that since hearing about strikes on Gaza, he has can’t manage to sit still. “My brother, Alon Ohel, is wrapped in bicycle chains with chains on his legs, and eats one pita with mold and two spoons of fava beans each day,” writes Cohen, referring to hostage Alon Ohel, who was left behind in the Gazan tunnels when Cohen, Or Levy and Eli Sharabi were freed last month, during the first stage of the hostage release-ceasefire deal. “It’s just impossible to grasp, and there are no words to describe the lack of understanding in our country about what is taking place 50 meters underground,” says Cohen. “And if there is any understanding, then how to explain this abandonment and lack of attention to human life?” Freed hostage, Omer Wenkert, shares similar thoughts. “Have you listened to a word of what we freed hostages have been telling you? Do you not see us?” writes Wenkert. “This dangerous decision will have an untold effect on those of us who are still held there. And I say ‘on us’ because those who are there are me, and I am them. I’m still there! Until the last hostage is released I am still there!”
#personcole#do you truly stand with the hostages if you are prepared to abandon them to their gruesome deaths?

I was asked to continue to update. I didn't plan to, but since this was requested, I will. I have not and will not share here the worst of the videos that I have seen, but I'll do my best to give you a sense of what is going on here.
This morning there were once again rockets fired at Jerusalem, they caught my disabled mom in the shower, unable to get out and to a bomb shelter quickly enough. She's physically okay, I'm not, I'm terrified for her.
The number of murdered is officially more than 700 innocents, the number of wounded over 2,300, the number of kidnapped is more than 130 people, some are Holocaust survivors, taken and held in Gaza without their medications.

It took 53 hours (over two full days) of non-stop fighting, but there are finally no more areas in Israel under the control of terrorists. That said, the army warned that there may still be terrorists at large within Israeli territory.
Here are some of the faces of murdered Israelis.
Shmuel (friend of a friend)

Kedem family: Yonatan, Tamar, 6 yo Shahar and Arbel, 4 yo Omer

Yanay (son of my former boss)

Chana (volunteer, was killed by a rocket on her way to open a public bomb shelter for everyone to use)

Aharon (paramedic)
