First of all, the fact that Edvin’s reaction to arepas is very similar to the way I wrote Wilhelm reacting to arepas in a fic makes me inexplicably happy.

Second, the fact that I’m currently writing a fic in which Wilmon finally have a nice first Christmas together and they eat hallacas and pan de jamón made by Linda, and now I actually have a reaction from both Edvin and Omar on both foods makes me inexplicably happy too.

(Hallacas, by the way, are like tamales, there’s a perpetual argument between Venezuelans and us about whether hallacas are better than tamales or the other way around… and all those are very difficult to make, and very time-consuming. From the guiso, the ground corn, the fillings, the wrapping, etc… i once helped make tamales, also once helped my aunt make hallacas… never doing that again. But everyone should try it once, just to understand how much time and effort goes into it).

Third, Edvin speaking Spanish with a Venezuelan accent will never not be adorable. Also Omar talking about his childhood is so sweet.

And fourth… could I already know someone who’s related to Omar…? (I wouldn’t be surprised, my country is very small, and the chances of a relative of his being here are high, so many Venezuelans migrate here all the time, so…) i’m gonna start blasting Omar’s music in the hopes that someone nearby might go “hey that’s my cousin!”

idk what then bestie i think we're gonna fall apart no matter what happens!!! i would LOVE Omar to be a musical guest and i am dying with anticipation at the possibility of a s3 announcement ;;;; also maybe learning more about their recent projects!! i don't think either are going to be on netflix or anything but i really hope to find a way to watch them and support them in whatever ways possible aha and i don't think i've really seen anything more than random clips of jimmy fallon's show, but i'm pretty sure games are a major part of it so im really hoping to see them play something for sure!! and most of all have fun!! gods there is so much that could happen aaaaaa

Hi! I'm looking for a picture of Omar and I can't seem to find it, so I was wondering if maybe you or someone on here had it and could share it. I think it was a story he posted back when he and Edvin were in NY in December 2022. It was a selfie in front of a window with the view behind him (maybe Central Park) and I think his hair was wet. I can visualise it in my head but I can't find it.

QX Gaygala 2023 blev ett tjusigt 25-årsjubileum med stora känslor, överraskningar och uppträdanden som lyfte taket.

Det blev en fantastisk kväll när QX-galan fyllde 25 år i början av februari. Sissela Kyle ledde galan för 8:e gången, men det här var även hennes sista, Gaygalamormor har nämligen gått i pension nu sa hon från scenen. Årets QX-gala började stillsamt och vackert då Omar Rudberg sjöng ledmotivet från Young Royals tillsammans med en kör, samtliga iklädda Hillerskas skoluniformer. I slutet av låten delade sig kören och Edvin gjorde entré på scenen och gick fram till Omar. De kramade om varandra till publikens jubel och Edvin ropade ut ”Välkomna till Gaygalan 2023”. Och vi var igång!

Som vanligt blandas humor och allvar på galan, Sissela hade ett sylvasst manus som Edward af Sillén och Daniel Rehn skrivit och drog ner skratt på skratt från en heltänd publik. Hon slog sig ner i Christer Lindarws knä och undrade om de verkligen hade fått fast på den där kobran som rymt från Skansen och sjöng en ny text till Pärleporten till hbtq-nominerade Andreas Wijk, ”han har öppnat garderoben, så att du kan komma ut”.

Sissela berättade om svenska hjälten Julia som bor i Oslo med sin flickvän och som övermannade terroristen som sköt ihjäl två personer utanför en gayklubb i Oslo på midsommarafton. Julia välkomnades in på scenen och hyllades stort av en publik som gav henne kvällens längsta applåd.

På scenen fick vi även en artistkavalkad med bland andra Molly Hammar, som även vann pris för bästa låt, vi fick besök av Zara Larsson som började med att sjunga duett med sig själv i låten ”Uncover” från Gaygalan 2013 för att sedan framföra nya singeln ”Can’t tame her”. Sanna Nielsen gav oss melloklassikern ”I’m in love”, medan Medina fick taket att lyfta med sin ”In i dimman”. Men mest jubel av alla fick ändå damtrion Hanson, Carson, Malmqvist när de gjorde entré och framförde ”C’est la vie”.

Mian Lodalen tilldelades QX Hederspris och blev inte bara galans gladaste vinnare utan mest överraskade vinnare då vi inte meddelat henne i förväg, sekunderna när hon insåg att hon skulle få Hederspriset var magiska!

Sveriges nya dragmamma Robert Fux delade ut priset Årets Drag och sa bland annat ”Glitter är mod, glitter är kamp, och kampen är inte över på långa vägar”.

Petra ”September” Marklund gav oss ett sjukt snyggt hitsmedley som fick varenda kotte på fötter. ”Snickar-Björn” som kommit ut som Lee hyllades stort för sitt mod och delade ut Årets Tv-program till Young Royals medan Årets HBTQ delades ut av Benjamin Ingrosso och gick till Edvin Törnblom som tackade den äldre generationen gays för allt de gjort i kampen för hbtq-rättigheter.

Sedan stod hon bara där på scenen, Leila K, feat Jessica Folcker och framförde ikoniska ”Electric” och varenda gäst på Cirkus dansade sjöng och skrek i extas. En av många överraskningar vilket blivit lite av galans signum genom de 25 åren som den funnits.

Saw your reblog about you meeting Edvin and Omar in ny and never feel weird for sharing that pic. So happy that you got to experience that. I get it tho - I got to go clubbing with Omar and his friends after a wild series of events and it feels weird to talk about. But also I wanna be grateful, yet not braggy? So I dont mention it on my main lol… Anyway I just wanted to say I get the feeling but I love that pic and want the entire story of yours at some point.

i’m at least very very very fortunate that when i met edvin and omar, i was selected with nine other people in the line and now over a year later, we still have an active groupchat, so we are constantly texting each other like “hey remember that time we MET edvin and omar” and we can talk about it and get excited constantly without feeling weird bc we all shared the experience. if i came here and blabbered about every time i felt Some Sorta Way about the experience, y’all would absolutely hate me haha. my pics are my phone wallpaper, i feel insane about it Daily 😅

not either of your previous anons but i agree with you about conventions. i've been to a few. they're fun but they really are for existing fans. i've picked up minimal interest in new media while attending, but my main focus was on seeing the cast/creators of media i already loved, which is why i went in the first place!

and as one of your other anons said, just because there was a convention doesn't mean edvin (and omar) were asked to attend. netflix had a presence but not every show was represented. and even if they were asked, their schedules may not have allowed it.

let's not forget that they had a whirlwind weekend of press in NY and were on the tonight show just a couple of weeks after ccxp!! no offense to the host of permanent rain press, but edvin and omar's recent interviews and fallon tv appearance are far, far above anything PRP could bring in terms of international attention and recognition.

I've never been but knowing myself I wouldn't like it. I always find the fan things a little awkward and stiff. Same with meet and greets. But I understand why some people really love them. And I agree that it's mostly for current fans.

They've just done a huge press chunk in New York and nothing is going to top that.

I do love Chloe from PRP and I would love to see an interview with Edvin. She seems interested and does her research. And it feels like her vibe make her guest feel relaxed.
