Ask for the mortals; What do y'all think of Eugene and his Eugene-ish things? Even after many years with them as a friend, do any of you still worry about what might be behind this job they have? (For example, once you guys wanted to meet each other, and when the time arrived to do so, Eugene appeared weird, like they were depressed or overthinking about something, and y'all just knew it was because of the Eugene-ish things )

In someone's, perhaps Oliver's room having a sleepover, Eugene had hogged the beanbag, Oliver was on the floor, Joy took Oliver's bed and Luke was on the floor leaning his head on Eugene's beanbag. A certain someone, reeked of stolen alcohol. Guess.

With some random movie playing that no one was paying attention to, Eugene took the boring silence as a chance to speak.

"Guys."

"Hm?"

"How do you guys genuinely feel about my uh...'Eugene-ish'?"

"Oh your Eugene-ish? I haven't actually started to think about what it might be..."

"Well uhh Ol— I mean Joy an uh Luke heeeereeee has like a evidence board thingy basehd un it—"

"Oliver don't snitch!"

Eugene turns to Luke with a suspicious look, "...Really now?"

Luke immediately sputters a bit sheepishly, trying to find am excuse knowing damn well none would work. Joy giggled at his panic.

"Yeah Oliver, shame on you."

"Shame on you Oli."

"Wh— Eugene they're talking behind your back and Iiii'm the one to shame on???"

"To be honest I'm actually kind of interested...what have you gathered so far?"

"Ey we're not going to disclose that, you might debunk it for all we know!"

"Yeah, I don't wanna lose hope if everything I wrote turns out to be wrong!"

Eugene sighs, sinking further in the beanbag. They didn't really get anything out of these three idiots.

More Underworld Office headcanons!

Not as good as the first ones but eh.

★Linda wins when playing board games. Every. Single. Time. She's an absolute champion at this point. But she sometimes lets her opponents win, especially Sean when he was still alive and children if she happens to play with one.

★One of Boss's biggest fears is Eugene looking up to him. He absolutely dreads the thought because he KNOWS that he's not a good person.

★Linda taught Sean how to ice skate when he was little. They'd often go ice skating together before Sean locked himself up in his work.

★I don't really know if the reason for Sean's overworking was confirmed in any way but if it didn't: Sean was previously working in Linda's flower shop but he wanted to get a better paying job to make his mom proud and to her help financially. He went into college rather late (he was about 30/late 20's at the time) and he chose to study in law to become a lawyer. But he struggled a lot with his studies so he eventually ended up locking himself in his room and studying day and night, only going out to lectures, and eventually passed away because his body gave out.

★EDIT: nevermind, I was told this one goes against CiU ;-;

★Eugene doesn't have any other hoodie. Just the one that he wears. And he ALWAYS wears it. Even during summer. Oh and he also literally never washes it.

★Eugene tends to neglect his hygiene overall. He doesn't really know/understand how important it is because cough cough no parental guidance cough cough. He just sprays himself with citrus air freshener and calls it a day.

★Eugene's (canonically dead) mom has autism. Not him, just his mom. Don't ask me why, she just does.

★There is a wine cabinet in Eugene's apartment. It's semi-full and most of it is Spanish that his parents bought when his dad lived in the apartment and his mom was still alive. Eugene feels a little uncomfortable with its presence but he doesn't interact with it. He's wondering whether he should open it once he's old enough to drink.

★Linda makes pretty good pies but her process is messy and awkward. She tends to spill stuff or read the instructions wrong but she always manages to save it and make it actually enjoyable to eat. Well, most of the time, anyway...

★Joy sometimes calls Eugene 'Genie' or 'Gigi'. She thinks it fits him and also sometimes complains that his name is too long.

★Joy and Oliver had automatically taken the role of Eugene's 'parent-friends' when Luke introduced him to them because of his initial shyness and awkwardness.

So I have a thing I do every once in a while I change my HCS about the mortals, I take this official image and edits it in the way I think they would look like

It all started in 2022, when I just edited this image for fun , it was just to decorate an amino server I was one of the leaders

But, after sometime, at the start of this year, I had new headcannons, and since it is one of my favorite drawings of the game, since we'll,, joy,Oliver,Luke and Eugene are my favorite characters, I decided to , not make a drawing by myself since I was stressed out to do so, but yes an edit, of the same image

And so, now, I again changed my headcannons, and thought that making an edit again would be a good idea, since it's a way that I can fit my HCS in the CIU images :

(it isn't a drawing, I just drew the details in their heads because personally, I wanted to :> , their side profiles were based on their cannon side profile when teenagers , I just made some adjustments (mainly in Eugene's )

Genuinely saying, this one was my favorite so far, it portrays really well the image I have of the characters in my head, I just wish I could've found a tattoo to put in Eugene's arm,, it wouldn't appear a lot in the image, but still , it's a cool detail

some interesting Not exactly a hero trivia that i found (after about like 40+ replays of the game)

in CIU (Charlie in underworld) NEAH was very minorly mentioned and snuck in as an easter egg! although only appeared like once during Hayden's chapter when Eugene uses his computer, it's still amusing

the names that Hayden's parents chose directly references Chief (Ash) and Riley himself (yes oliver's just there too, don't mind the chaotic kid)

CIU aside, time for the actual game trivia (it might be pretty long!):

Riley's dialogue actually changes depending on your M.I.P points, the game will tell you how high/low your MIP is by saying whether Riley has time to relax or not (and alternatively, whether he's okay or not), this is only a gimmick in case 5 for some reason, and there are A LOT more dialogues scattered around other than these screenshots i captured

these extra dialogues also give you extra or less MIP points depending how high/low it is

for the next one i thought they hardcoded it but...

it is ACTUALLY possible to obtain 2 SMAKs masks! you can obtain one from the sewer route in case 2 and Chris gives you another one in case 4. however the game will still registers it as 1 mask for the last case, i'm assuming they didn't anticipate it or they didn't want to make another alternative route, which i mean makes sense considering the unique total 9 endings-

Chief misspelled the Sayden police station (prob multiple times) i'm pretty sure this was unintentional but it's still hilarious that even chief herself can't spell the police station's name correctly

i also have a theory that Sayden might be a reference to Hayden from underworld office. but that's unconfirmed

that's all the trivia for now, i tried to get chief's route A ending WITHOUT seeing the video flare sends, but i haven't gotten much luck unfortunately

it's also possible to obtain Demi route A ending when you always disagree with her and vice versa for Zoe route A where you disagree with him all the time, that's bcuz the MIP points serve as a balancing mechanic and ultimately decides the endings and not much of the progress you make throughout the story

anyway that's all the trivia that i'm sure a lot of you may not know about, i might find more but it's a story game so it won't be easy dissecting everything that most won't see

So. About Danny Phantom and Underworld Office...

Quick break from my Little Nightmares brain for a sec, I wanna talk about stupid ghost creatures.

Recently, I rediscovered a whole ass discord thread I made a year ago, which was literally filled with Charlie in Underworld/Underworld Office stuff. What is Charlie in Underworld and Underworld Office? Well, the first novel (Underworld Office) is a visual/digital novel about a kid named Eugene who stumbles upon the ghost realm. They are also adopted into a found-ghost-office-family. Important note: Eugene's soul can exit their body while they rest. So basically, going ghost, but not really. (the second thing/sequel just follows the redemption arc of an antagonist, Charlie, from the first game)

Now. Danny Phantom. A couple of months ago, my friend introduced me to the show as well as the Phandom, and gotta say. It's pretty cool. Danny Phantom is a cartoon series about a lil silly dude named Danny Fenton. He is half ghost. Because of his half-ghost-ness, he can "go ghost". This is where he turns into a ghost and kicks ghost-ass.

Alright, let's regroup. Now that you know a bit about both fandoms, remember that note from earlier saying that Eugene can "go ghost"? Yea. See where I'm going with this?

My proposal, fellow DP and/or CIU/UWO fans, is to make a crossover AU. Why? Because I need it. I need these two idiots to bond over the fact that they both have connections to ghosts and how, in a way, they're both half-ghosts.

What is the plot/storyline? No fuckin clue All I have is:

Danny's been Danny Phantom for a while now

Eugene moves into Amity Park. Danny, honestly, can't really give two shits about that.

One day, Eugene and Danny meet, they become friends and bond over the fact that they're both dead and alive.

Danny meets the Office Ghosts and they both become allies or smth (tbf, they both fight monsters/bad ghosts)

Both Danny and the Office have a common goal (perhaps a conflict they both want to solve? Maybe)

Now, as for lil stupid notes:

Danny is creeped out by Boss and River. (Boss is cold and Danny feels like Boss would just casually murder him if he looked away for 0.001 seconds. River is just chaotic in a "high-aunt" way. The shit she does probably scares Danny in a "BRO WTF" way)

Eugene and Danny, unlike the other ghosts, are more warmer-coloured and less monotone.

Charlie will spit on Danny's grave and Danny would do the same. They'd probably hate each other's guts in a sibling way.

Luke, Oliver and Joy would probably meet Sam and Tucker. (Tucker and Oliver would honestly be besties ngl. Joy and Sam can both judge each other silently over a cup of coffee)

CIU Kids Part 1 - Estela and Ian

As I mentioned in the Next-Gen masterpost, I'm breaking the details of the CIU kids down by family (mostly to cut down on length.) First up is Estela and Ian, one of our twin Endless Summer MCs:

Estela and Ian Czasa

After Ian's return from the Prism Realm in Summer 2019, the two wasted no time in settling down for some much-deserved normalcy. Estela insisted on having a more "traditional" wedding ceremony/reception back home in Colombia, which, naturally, everyone was invited to. Much like at their handfasting, Diego was best man, but Estela chose Ian's twin sister Alyssa as her maid of honor this time around (since Zahra had made it very clear that even Estela couldn't force her to do that twice).

Estela: Shortly after the ceremony, she went on to form her own group of trained fighters, which she dubbed "Montoya's Guardians." As a group, they rented themselves out free of charge to any cause she felt could use protection, for everyone from resistance fighters battling tyranny to Match communities being harassed by rioters. All they asked for in return were a share of the spoils from whoever they fought, a request which those they assisted were always happy to indulge.

Ian: When he wasn't busy jumping in from time-to-time to help out with Estela's more difficult missions when asked, he was finishing up his degree at Hartfeld. He later enrolled in medical school at Michelle's suggestion and eventually became an emergency physician at Edenbrook, the same hospital where Michelle worked as a neurosurgeon. He frequently used his abilities to hold critically injured patients in time-stasis, vastly decreasing the mortality rate at their hospital. This earned him the nickname "Dr. Time," which Diego thought sounded like a great superhero name.

Olivia Rebecca Montoya Czasa: The oldest of Estela and Ian's children, as well as the oldest of the entire next generation of Prismics (as those with similar abilities to Ian, Alyssa, and the others have become known as). She was born in 2021, and at first her life was quite nice, if uneventful. That changed at age 2, when the Finem Servis cult attempted to kidnap her and her infant brother Antonio while Ian and Estela were out. Luckily, they'd chosen Hayden Young as their babysitter for the evening, and she made quick work of the intruders... but in the process, Olivia Awakened, revealing her to have inherited Ian's powers of time manipulation! Her parents quickly adjusted to the situation, and she grew up being gradually trained by both Ian (in Prism abilities) and Estela (in ordinary combat).

As she grew older, she began to resent the constant outpouring of attention she got wherever she went, and she started trying to keep herself incognito, enrolling in school after school under various aliases. But every time, her instinctive desire to help others always won out, and she accidentally revealed herself numerous times in an effort to help a fellow student in need. Eventually, she and her parents decided this wasn't working, and decided to enroll her in the one school where Prismics weren't anything unusual: Oliver M. Berry High, where her cousin, Mike, and their fellow Prismic, Jordan, were already enrolled.

Antonio Nicolas Montoya Czasa: The middle child of the family, Antonio is about two and a half years younger than his older sister. His Awakening happened during a much less dangerous situation; Olivia was trying to leave the room while they'd been playing together, and Antonio got mad, trying to make her stay. Which worked, though it only resulted in a very annoyed Olivia once their father arrived to cancel out the ability. Like Olivia, he was trained in both Prism ability use as well as hand-to-hand combat by his parents once he was old enough.

He and Olivia didn't get along very well once they got older, as he started to resent her forcing him to switch schools every time she made a mistake and revealed her powers. He grew very close to their younger sister, Kristal, due to their mutual frustration with that situation. Once he enrolled at Berry alongside Olivia, their rift started healing again.

LI: Skye Crandall

Kristal Grace Montoya Czasa: The youngest of Estela and Ian's children, at nearly four years younger than Antonio. Her Awakening was a bit late, at three and a half years, which is one reason her "Auntie" Fiora dotes on her in particular (as she herself wasn't Awakened until age 21). It occurred while Estela was leaving for work and she wanted her to stay, successfully freezing Estela in a time-field for over an hour before Olivia and Antonio came home from school and managed to cancel the time-field.

Kristal adores her older siblings, though like Antonio, she has begun to resent Olivia as she grows older due to the constant changing of schools. It was heartbreaking for her once Antonio was old enough to attend high school, leaving her alone in junior high.

Seduta tutta la compagnia hel piccolo ristorante, mio cugino Ciccio, chiese il menù. “Ma quali menù e menù, puttamu tuttu nui!” disse il cameriere alludendo al fatto che il menù era fisso visto il prezzo irrisorio che si pagava. Mio cugino lo guardò con odio. Per lui il menù era già l’inizio del piacere di mangiare, senza menù già pensava a una disastrosa cena. I camerieri incominciarono a portare gli antipasti. Il salame dei nebrodi con fettine di lardo al peperoncino rosso, funghi sott’olio, olive schiacciate sott’olio, olive sotto sale, olive al forno, finocchietto selvatico sott’olio, melanzane sott’olio semplici, melanzane sott’olio aromatizzate all’aceto, melanzane arrostite vuote e ripiene, caponata, peperoni arrostiti, peperoni sott’olio, peperoni ripieni, melanzanine ripieni, piccole arancini, suplì di patate, acciughe sott’olio, acciughe al limone, marmellata di fichi con pecorino stagionato, miele con ricotta, parmiggianina di melanzana, prosciutto crudo, prosciutto cotto, capocollo, salame piccante calabrese, nduja, polpettine di melanzane, panelle varie, fritturina di moscardini, fritturina di sarde impanate, patatine bollite condite con prezzemolo, zucchine ripiene di pangrattato al forno, cozze ripiene di pan grattato al forno, cous cous, pane caldo con filod’olio, pane caldo con pomodoino tagliato, torta salata,uova con  tonno. Ovviamente i piatti arrivavano uno dietro l’altro e l’entusiasmo dei primi piatti, diventò stupore, e poi silenzio ed infine angoscia per tutta la roba che arrivava e che non sapevamo se fossimo riusciti a mangiare. Solo Ciccio continuava imperterrito e testardo a mangiare tutto quello che il cameriere portava quasi a sfidarlo che dopo tutti quegli antipasti, lui voleva continuare la cena. Alla fine gli antipasti finirono, ma solo forse perchè il locale doveva chiudere. Il cameriere si avvicinò a Ciccio e con aria di scherno chiese. “Voli autru” Guardai Ciccio e negli occhi aveva lo stesso odio di quando ad una sua doppia coppia a poker l’avversario rispondeva con un full. Guardò il cameriere e chiese serio “Chi hai du maccaruni? dopu tutti sti antipasti , du fili i pasta ci vonnu” Il cameriere lo guardò stupito e in silenzio andò in cucina. Dopo dieci minuti, mentre i più erano passati al limoncello e al caffè apparve dalla cucina con un piatto di maccaroni enormi e lo piazzò davanti a Ciccio. Lui lo guardò con indifferenza e incominciò a mangiare. Guardavamo tutti sorpresi. Il cameriere non si allontana perchè voleva vedere se Ciccio avrebbe finito il piatto. Lui continuava lentamente, con lo stesso ritmo e precisione con cui una volta si era mangiato una capra durante la festa della Santissima. Qualcuno chiamò il cameriere in cucina e lui si allontanò. Improvvisamente tutti noi, forchetta in mano, ci avventammo sui maccheroni e li finimmo per aiutare Ciccio. Quando il cameriere tornò vide il piatto vuoto e Ciccio che si asciugava le labbra. “Boni - gli disse con la solita aria indifferente -  però la prossima vota scinnili prima chi eranu moddiceddi” Il cameriere gli restituì l’odio con gli occhi. “Ora ciu dicu o sceffi”

★ Was recommended by Joy and also River because they said Mitski's songs were amazing.

★ The both didn't disappoint because it was absolutely mind-breaking

★Had a phase for a while where'd they daydream about the songs for a while without realizing it and was like 'oh no I am obsessed!!!'

★ Favorite song would probably be Last Words of a Shooting Star, thought it was pretty calming and related to it

★ He's usually stubborn and listens to those old Korean songs/rhymes or some random K-drama track for no reason, but Mitski was an surprising exception.

★ Genuinely goes dead silent (Like completely stiff, not a normal quiet), if someone around him plays Mitski.

★ Favorite song probably Class of 2013. Could not get over the lyrics and was like 'why is this kind of me' but in a more noble fancy way I can't think of

★ Wanted some girly pop songs and thought Mitski was the most woman of a woman she'd ever seen.

★ Head over heels hehehe

★ Flexes off the fact the knows many Mitski songs and also listened to her other songs that weren't included in her albums (she liked cop car).

★ Favorites were the songs in her Lush and Puberty 2 album, and Drunk Walk Home!!! Rock is life for her :]

‹Hayden›:

★ Doesn't Really understand the meaning but likes the sounds of the beats and lyrics so there's that!!! Of course, heard Mitski from River.

★ Occasionally listens to her songs for a bit before going back to coco melon rip Hayden you would've loved being an ipad kid

★ The cats seems to like the songs though, so Hayden will usually steal River's phone to play songs for them.

★ Favorite is My Love Mine All Mine since its calming, reminds him of those highschool musicals prom scenes, and his mum used to sing in the same soft voice a lot. Might get emotional.

★ Also likes Strawberry Blonde :3

‹Joan›:

★ River recommend. Although she doesn't really like modern music, she could probably listen to Two Slow Dancers all day.

★ Probably likes those cliche calming love songs like old people do. I don't really know what genre but yea

★ Depressed. Will combust from the trainwreck of derealization hitting them in the guts and chest.

★ Will listen to her as a background music while making paper crafts. But ends up zoning out and full on have their attention on the music instead. Hides the fact they liked Mitski because River was egotistical enough already.

★ Favorite was sadly Class of 2013 and Your Best American Girl, she was gonna genuinely go insane listening to it.

★ I think she's reacted pretty well (cue the mental breakdown)

‹Mike›:

★ Doesn't have much of an opinion, mostly because I'm still learning to write his character,,,

★ Heard her from boredly scrolling through TikTok, her song just ticked his brain in the right place.

Day Five - Friday 10 May 2019

A day of doing nothing! I walked around admiring the vegetable garden and orchard below while David sat sketching on the hill above. Then we headed back for a spectacular lunch of anchovies on toast with radicchio and tomato - accompanied by olives, strawberries and wine. We had started looking forward to this meal as soon as we’d finished breakfast – such is the allure of the anchovy in our lives!. Our white wine from Ciu’ Ciu’ (a local biodynamic vineyard that we have heard a lot about but haven’t been to yet) was delicious and sleep-inducing. We segued straight from lunch in the sun to an afternoon nap!

I was not completely idle however. I read that Montefortino is surrounded by three mountains – from highest to lowest - Mount Priora, Mount Pizzo Berro and Mount Sibilla. It is Mount Sibilla that we can see from our bedroom window. There are 46 small hamlets scattered throughout Montefortino, which in the low season can have as few as 50 inhabitants (Montefortinesi). Their economies rely on holiday makers in the ski season – but these are generally Italian holiday makers, not tourists like us. The Great Ring of the Sibillini, a chain of walks spanning 120 kms that encircle the National Park, passes through here. Montefortino is also a destination for religious pilgrimages. The Sanctuary of Madonna dell’Ambro is known as ‘The Small Lourdes’ of the Sibillini. I look forward to learning more about its claim to fame when we visit it tomorrow as part of an easy (the guide book promises) walk through the countryside.

As always, I have been working my way through the book collection provided by our hosts and past guests. I finished Crooked Angels (interesting) on our second night here and finished Michael Dibdin’s Aurelio Zen novel Back to Bologna today. I don’t warm to Aurelio (he is a far cry from Donna Leon’s Guido Brunetti who actually loves and respects his wife and likes to spend time with his children in between solving crimes in Venice, devouring panini and drinking grappa) but it was suitably Italian. Now I am reading Betrayal in Naples.

We scored a victory in the eating out department. The incongruously named Re Artu (King Arthur) country house that I had tried unsuccessfully to book was open for business. I had what I thought was the best pizza I’d ever eaten, truffles and cheese being the main (if not the only) ingredients. I drove the short distance to Re Artu and could feel myself relaxing into it a bit more. Driving on the right hand side of the road is less challenging that remembering how to drive a manual car as it turns out.
