O selo brasileiro CIANETO DISCOS está lançando no Brasil uma edição limitada em 300 cópias do álbum "Engrossed in Deacy", segundo álbum dos estadunidenses do MOLDER. Licenciado para o Brasil pela Prosthetic Records, o disco conta com dez faixas que transbordam o mais puro e intenso Death Metal, com latentes influências de Thrash Metal. Oriundos do estado americano de Illinois, neste lançamento o grupo era composto por Dom Vaia (baixo), Aaren Pantke (guitarra/vocal) e Kyle Pooley (bateria), que em pouco mais de 40 minutos de duração transformam a audição de "Engrossed in Deacy" uma verdadeira celebração ao som extremo. A arte da capa, criada pelo artista gráfico Lucas Korte, segue uma linha Splatter/Gore, de acordo com a sonoridade do grupo.

I was going to rant about some of my favourite death metal blogs that don't post anymore, but one of them started posting again after almost 3 years♡ now I just have to wait for a new oldschool-deathmetal post.

I actually think King Crimson/Adrian Belew is a pretty solid pick for Adam by James Gunn lol, I love when adaptions lean into him liking rock music because of his glamrock costumes in the comics + his Counter-Earth days were inspired by the Jesus Christ Superstar musical so 60/70/80s rock definitely feels like something he'd be into. Some punk/psychadelic/gospel/folk influences sprinkled in... I also think he'd like jazzy/orchestral/operatic type stuff in particular 🤔 Queen, David Bowie, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Grace Slick, Eloy, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Electric Prunes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Ghost, Apocalyptica, Stratovarius, Will Wood, Oingo Boingo, Dead Man's Bones, Starbenders, Rosegarden Funeral Party, King Dude, The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers, Amigo the Devil... Etc.

Thanos... They have very similar tastes in everything but I think he'd lean more into heavy metal/emo/industrial music. Oldschool love songs are very Thanos-coded to me too but! Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Tool, Judas Priest, Overkill, Heathen, Powerwolf, Archives, Spiritbox, Death, Rob Zombie, Lordi, Nightwish, HIM, Angelfish, Depeche Mode, Gazelle Twin, Slowdive, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds... Debated not including it but I just know deep in my heart he would also unironically love Evanescence.

I'm sure they'd like classical music too but I know nothing about it so I've got no idea where to even start on that front. My roommate @niennasapprentice suggested Erlkönig though and I trust her judgement... It's a nice song. 🫡

AUTOPSY - Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts

D’une lenteur spectrale, né de la procession mortuaire Autopsy ressort des limbes avec un 10ème opus.

Autopsy est un groupe de death metal américain, originaire de Californie, fondé en 1987 par Chris Reifert, ancien batteur de Death (notamment sur Scream Bloody Gore), avec des pochettes et textes gores, dans la ligné de Cannibal Corpse, Aborted & co… Prolifique jusqu’au milieu des années 1990, jusqu'à ce que Chris Reifert décide d'arrêter l'aventure Autopsy dans le fossé rempli d'excréments suite à l’album « Shitfun » de 1993. Puis, ding dong, reprise de la discographie en 2011 avec « Macabre Eternal ».

Avec l’intensité d’un slasher le groupe découpe son ode bestiale avec barbarie. La recette est oldschool, dans sa crypte le groupe élabore sa brutalité juteuse en étant toujours aussi hors norme en comparaison avec tous les rétrogamer suiveurs.

Le très fécond "Morbidity Triumphant" en 2022 avait éviscéré, ce nouveau death gore maîtrise toute la charcuterie, et dépèce un riffing de gros blocs sanglants implacable, avec parfois le galop punk-thrash classique, un frissonnement death doom venu des abysses ténébreuses pour en ralentir la surdose, surmontées de frictions lourdes et rapides par des solos tout en éclaboussure.

Dans ce mausolée de folie et de plaisir dégoûtant l’on retrouve la froideur de Celtic Frost, le doom titanesque de Triptykon, la grosse injection des premières guitare d'Iron Maiden pour « Marrow Fiend » , et le canal historique des Dead Kennedys avec "Toxic Death Fuk", du Slayer avec « Bones to the Wolves », Dark Angel pour « Death is the Answer ». en 42 minutes serrées de groove irrésistiblement enflammé, purulent, débarquant comme une horde de morts-vivants affamés, ce seau de tripes abonde d’une bonne production pour un mordant accru.

Un chant guttural à découper des corps entiers de lyrics outrecuidants, rythmes explosifs renforçant les guitares à la tronçonneuse, c'est un rugissement primal de chair déchirée devant vos yeux éberlués et d’une funèbre saveur bestiale.

Pas de fermeture de la tombe, ni de crépuscule pour Autopsy, l’enquête n’est pas terminée et la bête rode, et elle a la faim, ohhhhhhhhhhh putain oui !!

Noisecore Techno: A look at one of the most abrasive genres in all the world of music Do you like the sound of a dentist drilling into your teeth while you are stuck in their chair and can't get away?Or being pushed into an oldschool CT Scanner, having to endure the deafening noise it makes?The sounds of jackhammers while you have to pass a construction site?Or that of a jet engine during lift off? If you said "yes" to all of the above, we got just the right music genre for you:Noisecore Techno. It consists of noises that sound similar to the above mentioned, and many more things that bite the human ear.It also adds techno drums to the blend.But these drums then get distorted and / or sped up, until they sound like an ongoing train derailment themselves (and not so much like club beats anymore). But in all seriousness: Noisecore is a sub-genre of Hardcore Techno that started in the 1990s. As the name implies, it fuses elements of Japanese Noise / Harsh Noise with Gabber productions - and just like the Noise genre, it also profoundly draws on early Industrial music.Unlike most Noise artists, producers in this genre often rely heavily on sampling. The samples, usually related to industrial machinery, gunshots, explosions, screams, then get "distorted beyond recognition" to get the desired noise effect. The genre had it's heyday in the 90s and early post-millennium years. nowadays, it has somewhat fused with the ultra-speedcore genres.But dedicated Noisecore producers are still around, lurking in the underground. Together with Death / Black Metal infused Gabber, this is likely one of the most extreme, vitriolic, and nihilist form of Hardcore Techno - of any type of music, really. 04.03.24 SUICIDE SILENCE KONSERİ (BEŞİKTAŞ IF)

Pazartesi günü! “Cradle Of Filth” ertesi! Turnenin son konseri!… “Suicide Silence” konserini düşününce aklıma bunlar geliyordu. Yalan yok endişe içerisindeydim.. Acaba konser güzel geçecekmiydi? Haftaiçi ve özellikle pazartesi günü olduğu için konsere kaç kişi gelecekti? Adamların uzun bir turneden sonra fiziki, kimyevi, ruhani enerjileri, performansları ne durumdaydı? Cuma gününden sonra bizim seyirci ne haldeydi? Vs. “Suicide Silence” sahneden, kafamdaki bu soruların cevabını kesin ve net bir dille şu şekilde verdi; “FUCK EVERYTHING”

“Deathcore” gruplarına, konserlerine alışkınız. Özellikle geride bıraktığımız “Slaughter To Prevail” yıkımından sonra artık genç arkadaşlarımızla birlikte “Coresal dönüşüm” yaşıyoruz diyebilirim. Endişelerime rağmen nasıl bir şeyle karşılaşacağımızı üç aşağı beş yukarı kestirdiğimi düşünüyordum fakat konu benim düşündüğümden bambaşka yerlere gitti. Ağırlıklı olarak “Z” kuşağının katılım sağladığı konserde tabiki “Oldschool tayfa”da arka saflarda yerini almıştı. Alana girdiğimizde içeride “Queen”den Bohemian Rhapsody” çalıyordu. Kuşakları birbirine bağlamak için ne kadarda güzel bir hareket! Evet, az sonra kulisten bölüm sonu canavarları çıkacak ama o anda genç yaşlı, 7 den 77’ye “Queen”le hoplayıp zıplıyoruz, birbirimize bakıp gülüyoruz. Kısa süre sonra Abd’li yıkım ekibi sahnede yerini alıyor ve fırtına başlıyor.

“Suicide Silence” sahneye çıktığı andan itibaren seyircide bir enerji patlaması oldu. “Unanswered” ile başlayıp “You Only Live Once”la devam eden ilk anlarda konuyu çözmeye çalışan bazı arkadaşlar dışında kafa sallamayan, hareket halinde olmayan kimse yoktu. “Fuck Everything” ve “Love Me To Death” bölümüne geçildiğinde artık orta alanda yapılan vahşi “Pogo”lar, devasa bir “Circle Pit” ve çalınan bütün “Riff”lere, “Breakdown”lara eşlik eden kalabalık bir kitle vardı. Kan gövdeyi götürüyordu! Tişörtler çıktı, pozisyonlar alındı. Vokal “Hernan Hermida”nın her sözüne, komutuna, savaşa gitmeye hazır bir kıta asker gibi konumlanmış seyirci, birbirini yok etmek için “Wall of Death” hazırlığında iki tarafa ayrılırken çok hoş bir detay yaşandı. Hernan’ın seyirciyle iletişimi esnasında “Wall of Death” boşluğunun ortasındaki bir çocuk, bu günün doğum günü olduğunu söyledi. Hernan, çocuğu sahne önüne çağırdı ve kendisini kandırmamasını, kimliğini göstermesini söyledi. Çocuk bunu yaptıktan sonra doğum günü hediyesi olarak bir gitara kavuştu! Hayat boyu unutulmayacak bir hatıra ve doğum günü… İşte metal müzik böyle bir şey :)

2012 Kasım’ında bir motor kazası sonucı kaybettikleri vokalleri Mitch Lucker’ın yeri asla dolmaz ama grubun şu anki vokali Hernan, elinden gelenin fazlasını yapıyor. Özel, karakteristik bir sesi var ve bunu kullanmasını çok iyi biliyor. Bana 2005 yılında “Exodus” vokali olan Rob Dukes’u anımsattı. Rob’da o dönem gruba adaptasyon sürecinde çok hareketliydi, birçok festival “Wall Of Death”ine kumandanlık ediyordu. “Wacken”daki performansı görülmeye değerdir.. “Disengage” “Remember…” “You Must Die” sonrası alan içerisinde öyle bir hıza ulaşıyoruz ki, neredeyse galaksi değiştireceğiz! Hernan’ın seyirciyle iletişimi ve demeçleri olmasa konser bu hızla zannediyorum yarım saatte falan biterdi.. Ses yine çok iyiydi ve vokal dışında Davul, Bas, Gitarlar o kadar iyi duyuluyordu ki bir ara deprem oluyor sandık. “Köprüyü ve ikinci salonu ele geçirdiler. Kapıları sürgüledik. Ama çok dayanamayacağız. Yer sarsılıyor. Davullar... Davullar derinden geliyor...” Moria madenlerinde verdiğimiz savaş son hızıyla devam ederken “Lifted” “Slaves To Substance” “Wake Up” şarkıları geride kalıyor. Grubun enerjisi çok yüksek, seyircinin daha yüksek. “Pogo” yapmayı, “Circle Pit”te dönmeyi, “Wall of Death”leri konser boyunca asla ihmal etmediler, hangisini kameraya çekeceğimi şaşırdım. Sahnede çalan grupmu, alandaki seyircimi? Hepsine şapka çıkartıyorum. Bel’i kırık, birasız kalmış, yorgun argın beni bile neredeyse aralarına çekeceklerdiki konser bitti…

Bunca sene içerisinde, konserlerde gördüklerim ve yaşadıklarımdan sonra “Suicide Silence” ve seyirci beni hayranlık içerisinde bırakıyor. Ağzım bir karış açık olan bitene bakıyorum. “Bludgeoned To Death” “Fucked For Life” ve son olarak “No Pity For A Coward” sonrası grup sahneye bir daha dönmemek üzere veda ediyor. (Hernan konuşmaları sırasında özür dileyerek çok yorgun olduğunu ve uçağına yetişmesi gerektiğini söyledi fakat bu yorgunluk bize asla geçmedi!) “Suicide Silence” konserini uzun uzun çakan şimşeklerin ardından, yine çok uzun süren bir gökgürültüsüne kolaylıkla benzetebilirim. Konser başladığı gibi o kadar hızlı bitti, o kadar nefes aldırmadıki, tuvalete gidecek fırsat olmadı. “Deathcore” böyle birşey evet ama “Suicide Silence” bence başka birşey…

Grup sahneden indi, kulis sonrasında içeride kalan hayranlarla uzun süre fotoğraf çektirdi, konuştu, dertleşti ve eğlendi. Gerçekten sıcakkanlı, samimi, eğlenceli, “Metalkafa” tanımının hakkını sonuna kadar veren adamlar. “Suicide Silence” bana bir “Deathcore” grubu isminden ziyade bir “DSBM” grup adını daha çok çağrıştırıyor ama grubun ruh hali, doğal olarak Sound”ları, enerjileri buna tam tezat oluşturacak cinsten. Alanda konser sonrası gitarist Mark Heylmun’la biraz sohbet etme fırsatı yakaladık. Hernan’ın uçağa yetişmesi gereksede kendisi biraz daha İstanbul’da kalacağını söyledi, Dorock bar’da takılmak istediğini belirtti. Umarım onunla ve diğer bütün “Suicide Silence” elemanlarıyla ama konserde, ama dışarıda bir yerlerde tekrardan karşılaşırız. Üniversite yıllarında hiçbir şeyin sonunu düşünmeden sabahlara kadar içip sıçtığın en iyi arkadaşların vardı ya hani; işte bu adamlar onlar… ve ölene kadar “Metalkafa” kalacaklar! Herkese sevgiler, nice nice konserlerde görüşmek üzere!
