Summary : You go into labor with your and mattys first child.

Pairing : Matty Healy x afab!reader

Warnings : Cursing, Pregnancy, giving birth, anxiety, pain.

Notes: Loved this idea that was requested! also since i’ve never had a child the way she gives labor may be inaccurate, im going off of just the basics lol!

"Matty where are you" you groan into the phone as another contraction hits you."Hey baby! I'm at the studio, is everything ok?" he asks, "My water broke while i was making lunch" you yell into the phone as you brace yourself for another contraction. Mattys eyes go wide as he hears the news, "Holy shit, okay baby I'll be right there" he says and quickly grabs all his things, before rushing out the door. "Hurry" you shout before hanging up the phone.

Matty swears he's never driven faster, he was surprised no cops had pulled him over during his race home. He quickly parks the car and runs into the house, "Y/N" he shouts, "In here" you yell from the living room. He runs into the room to find you curled up, as much as possible, on the couch. "Hey baby, it's ok, lets get you up and to the hospital ok?" matty says, trying to remain calm for your sake, even though he's internally freaking out.

He helps you carefully sit up from the couch, and guides you to the car, making sure to grab your hospital bag before locking up the house. "I can't believe she's gonna be here soon" you say, as you place your hands on your swollen belly. "I know it's crazy!" matty responds, trying his best to focus on the road.

When you two finally arrive at the hospital, Matty helps you into the reception area and up to the front desk. "Hello, My wife is in labor" he says to the nurse, "Let me go get a wheel chair for her and I'll take you guys up to labor and delivery" the nurse says, quickly hurrying off to get the wheel chair. You squeeze mattys hand tight as you feel another contraction coming on, "Breathe baby its ok" he whispers, trying to soothe you. As soon as the contraction started, it ends and the nurse appears with the wheel chair. Matty helps you sit down, before taking the handles from the nurse and following her as she leads you  to your room.

"I'll give you these to change into, and then a labor and delivery nurse will be right in to set everything up!" the nurse said, as she handed you a hospital gown. "Thank you" you say as you grab the item from her, "Of course! Congratulations you two!" she says, before closing the door behind her. "Do you need any help changing?" Matty offers, "I should be fine, but thank you baby" you say.

After getting changed and being hooked up to about a million different machines, you were finally able to relax a bit, but not too much, as your contractions had been getting worse and worse. "Matty" you whimper, he quickly rushes up to you "Hey baby" he whispers, gently brushing some of your hair from your forehead. "I'm scared" you confess, the idea you were about to push another human out of your body terrified you beyond belief, you weren't sure if you would be able to do it. Mattys face fell when he heard that, "Oh baby" he says, before gently taking your shaking hand in his. "You are the strongest women I've ever met, if anyone can do this its you, and I'll be here the whole time. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now, but just know when everythings done our daughter is going to be here" he says. You tear up at his kind words "I love you matty" you say, "I love you too honey" he responds back, and places a gentle kiss to your forehead.

After about an hour of watching T.V and cuddling with Matty, the doctor told you it was time to push. Your heart sped up as you saw all the nurses walk into the room; it was quite an overwhelming amount of people to have around just for one baby you thought.

"Baby it'll be ok" matty said, trying to calm you down, "How do you know that Matthew? You're not the one pushing a child out of your body!" you snap, the nerves and hormones getting to you. "Ok Y/N you ready?" the doctor said from between your legs. You look between her and Matty, before nodding your head. "Ok on the count of three you're going to push ok?" she said, "1,2,3 PUSH" the doctor yelled. You used every ounce of strength you had in your body to push. "Good just like that, ready to do it again?" the doctor says, once again you push and push and after what feels like hours theres still no baby.

Your eyes well up with tears, utterly exhausted from pushing, you look up at matty "I-i can't do it matty I'm not strong enough " you say as you loosen the grip on his hand. "Baby don't say that, you are incredibly strong, you're so close, she's almost here, remember 5 more minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness" he says, before placing a kiss on your now sweaty forehead.

You take a deep breathe before signalling to the doctor that you're ready to push again. "Ok Y/N two more pushes then she should be here" your doctor says, before counting down. You use your last remaining energy to push once more, "I see her head, you can do it just one last push" the doctor says. You push again and a few seconds later the loud cries of a baby fill the hospital room. "Baby you did it!" Matty says, as he looks over at you in awe. "Congratulations Mum and Dad you have a beautiful baby girl" the doctor says.

After Matty cuts the embicoal cord and the nurses clean and check the baby, you finally get to do the one thing you've wanted to do for the past 9 months, you get to hold her.

The nurse gently places your blanket wrapped daughter into your arms. You look down at the tiny baby and tears of joy begin to spill from your eyes. "Hey baby" you coo before placing a gentle kiss to her forehead. You look up at your husband, who also has tears streaming down his face, and pat the spot next to you telling him to sit down. He carefully lays next to you in the hospital bed, one arm around your shoulders while the other is around your arm that's holding the baby.

"She's perfect" you whisper, still in awe that your daughter was finally in your arms, "She is" he says. You finally break your gaze away from your daughter, and look up at your husband, "I love you" you say. Matty looks up at you and smiles "I love you too, you're amazing y/n I hope you know that" he says before placing a kiss on your temple.

The baby stirs in your arms and slowly opens her eyes, "Hey baby, its us Mommy and daddy" you coo, as you stroke her small cheek, "We love you so much little one" Matty says, and for a split second you think you see her smile before she closes her eyes once more.

"We never decided on a name" you say, of course you and matty had thought about names but never settled on one. "How about Emma?" he suggests, you look at him then to the baby in your arms, "I like that" you say. "Welcome to the world Emma Healy" you say, before looking back up at your husband. You lean your head against his as both of you silently admire the sleeping baby in your arms.

WAIT WHAT WHY AM I BEING ARRESTED? THIS IS LIKE THE THIRD TIME- ALSO IM SICK TOO SO Daily Hobie HC! I love the stickbug menace its probably concerning but like he's such a bastard i love him No doubt Hobie's tall, towering almost everyone in the spider society, apart from Miguel of course. Because of this, it isn't surprising that he has a habit of leaning against other people and using them as an armrest in a playful, teasing gesture, commonly with Pavitr and you. Not only does he adore using you as an armrest to hear you get huffy about it, but Hobie never misses a chance to randomly pick you up and relocate you completely, walking off like nothing happened while you've been stunlocked for a few moments. Another mildly irritating and amusing 'habit' of Hobie's, was randomly putting rarely used items on the higher shelves and forget them, so that when they were needed, you both would scramble around before Hobie found it, remembering what he had done. Apart from putting things in high places and looming over everyone, Hobie finds a lot of significant disadvantages to being tall. Even in his own bed, he struggles to stretch out fully and keep his entire body under the blanket, often opting to just curl his top body around you and stretch out his legs. Many times you've woken up and stretched out your own legs to feel his straightened out underneath your feet, with his chest resting against your back and his face in your hair. Even if you point it out, Hobie simply denies it and plays it off as his 'favorite way of cuddling you at night', which was a complete lie, but at least he's somehow comfortable, even if he looks like a shrimp. Another disadvantage which Hobie has to suffer with, is knocking his head on things. Although he's developed a good sense with when to duck, sometimes he'll let his guard slip and end up hitting his head on the frames of doors. Luckily, he has you to soothe the bruises while you giggle away at his overdramatic moping. Yet, despite being very tall and knocking into things almost 24/7, Hobie's footsteps are soft, non exist at times and he always manages to spook anyone by simply just hanging behind the person until they notice. One of his favorite perks of being so tall, is being able to have people hang off his arms while he swings them around, like he was an amusement park ride. Hobie loves sometimes giving flukes to scare the people hanging off, jolting slightly as if he 'lost his balance'. Of course, he wouldn't dare do this trick to little kids, only to his close friends and you. If you liked to do handstands, similarly to Gwen, he'll gladly let you use his arms, knowing you'll be a safe distance from the ground to land on your feet if you dropped. -🐦‍⬛

When Zendaya posted her story with the pearl ring last year, what did you think about the whole situation ?

To me personally, I saw the picture and thought nothing. Like pretty picture but that's it. And I was checking twitter at the time and no one was saying anything. Then Z deleted, cropped it, posted about focusing on the hat, then Noon.. then the story saying she can't post anything and that's not how she would drop the news. All of this, I thought it was a funny, like ridiculous, but still funny 😂 I dont know why she started to make a big deal out of it because I swear no one was posting about it, it was making any noise on Twitter or any platform.

BUT then Darnell went online and that's when I started to think they were doing too much. The funny story from Z was already a good way to address it, the live and more especially his tone, it made me raise my eyebrows a little bit. I know he would never do anything against Z's wishes so I'm not saying he's at fault, but Z herself and her decision making. She probably asked for him to go live, go on a monologue about it and idk if was the smartest way to deal with that because at the end of the day, he's a third party. He's not supposed to talk about it in that sense (but maybe that's just my personal view about relationships), but Z allowed him to, maybe even encouraged it. So it made me question their dynamic and how effective it is to send him do the "messy work" in a way. Also all of this was happening when Tom was asleep. Darnell sounded lowkey offended about the idea of an engagement. We can only have theories and right now they're doing more than fine, of course, but I wonder if Tom ever actually saw the video of the live and how he felt at the time. I'm not in his head but just from an outsider pov I would be like damn okay We're not engaged (assuming they're not, which we don't even know but still), but do we need to act like this is such a ridiculous idea🙃

To me (again, personal opinion)! the whole situation became too messy with this live and it's an example of needing a publicist before star thing to do shit on your own 😅

My theory is that someone in her family asked about it for some reasons, and instead of searching if rumors were actually going around massively (which was not the case) she panicked, thought something leaked, and (over)reacted immediately. Now that I’ve had a nap, I proceeded to the next part. First off, their parents don’t have names. They are merely referred to as Director for Shroud papa, and Chief for Shroud mama. Their mom is basically the head of technology.

I know Idia has expressed before that his parents don’t seem to care for them. And, they do come off as all work and no play. I feel like it’s mostly because they are at the front of STYX. This is, in a way, the family business. They have to run it.

The more I hear the director, the more I do feel like he’s obviously older, but a more mature sounding Idia. He tends to be more level headed, as he’s assessing the situation on Sage’s Island, and speculating all sorts of possibilities. He’s also quick to delegate STYX, and start getting things done just like Idia is quick to formulate plans in a pinch. It’s why I say he’s like a mature Idia.

The chief, however, I feel like she has two sides to her. As Chief, she’s very business-like. Shroud papa also mentioned that she’s a genius! I guess it makes sense because she is an engineer. She also predicted Ortho would reach out to them via the STYX satellite because Idia hacked into it since “he can’t live without internet”. Anything involving technology is her thing. That being said, this is a woman who knows her boys all too well.

While their dad wondered if his sons were already gone, mama was like “They’re alive.�� Shroud papa asked how she knew, and her response is “A mother’s ‘intuition’.” Even when Ortho finally managed to reach STYX, it’s like a switch flipped and she went into mama mode.😂 It’s a little jarring hearing her have such a youthful voice like that of a teenage girl. She sounds waaaay too young.🤣

And, she definitely doesn’t treat Ortho like that isn’t her irl son. She calls him “Orth-kun”, but it’d be more like “Orthie”? She asks Ortho if “Onii-chan” is okay. okay so i have a few thoughts with the news of austin being cast as the lead for american psycho; for starters, i really pray and hope that with all of the projects he’s gonna be acting/working in in 2025 (i think we’re at 5 movies now?) that he actually takes time to himself for his mental health/well being in general.

cause also lol- i was curious and watched a few “Austin butler tarot readings” on youtube, and there were two very thorough readers, that said 2025 would be very tough on him emotionally and physically :/ they both said that if he’s seeing a therapist weekly/however often as needed then he should be ok, but with all of the work he is gonna be doing- he may get too wrapped into the characters’ head (maybe method acting perhaps?) and it will backfire on him severely. as in, he needs to remember who he is as a person irl, or how he views himself, and try his best not to get too overwhelmed with all the acting. my take is- make sure he takes time to see his sister, dad, or any other friends/family on his acting breaks!! or maybe taking a vacay/doing whatever he enjoys in his free time.

2) i agree with the other anon that this would be an amazing time for a breakup announcement for the PR nightmare we’re living in!!! finger crossed. and also his team/her team can just say he’s incredibly busy with all of his projects so it was a “mutual decision”.

Right, okay so.... I watched Day of the Doctor for the first time ever (yes, I'm quite new to Doctor Who and I never really got to watch this special all the way through until now BUT - )

I'm gonna start rambling for a bit, so really sorry about that but OHH MY GOD I LOVED IT SM!!!! >.< Imo, considering it was a 50th anniversary special, it really delivered on that, it was so entertaining and fun! I loved all the little jokes, the fun references and the expansion on the Time War, it was just *chefs kiss* :3

I loved the War Doctor too, he was really intriguing to me!

I remember before I watched this, I never fully knew why he wasn't counted with the other doctors (yk, like how we have Third Doctor, Eighth Doctor, etc), but I get it now, I understand 😅👍

It was also really sad how the Doctor sort of distanced themself from that regeneration because they hated being reminded of the Time War, like that was really sad ngl :"(

I’m good, thanks for asking! It’s just been a very trying week at work, we’ve had a lot of changes happening and I’m just…over it haha.

I’m glad you liked it! I know it was a little slower start than my other stories but I thought it was important to set the mood. Zombies are one of my favorite plot lines in general. I have been sitting on this story line/concept for years to be perfectly honest. I think one day I’d like to make an original book of it.

And Last of Us is one of my favorite games and show 💙 I’ve watched the show four times now and played the game probably 2-3 times.

But starting out writing again in a new fandom I didn’t want to do too much of an AU right out the gate which is why I waited. I wanted to make sure my writing was good enough, and people like my writing, before I ventured into something sort of different 😆Plus, Soap’s story kind of took over my brain capacity then Gaz did as well.

Also, Alex’s personality I think fits the zombie theme and plot I have in mind. Save others, self sacrifice and having to make a very hard choice. He’s done all of that in the games, not that the others haven’t, but I feel like those are his main core traits.

I understand and feel the same issues with age. I see people, and sometimes im like, I feel like I should act older. I always got alowlng with people who were usually older or younger. Sometimes, I feel like I act too young. I dont feel my age i feel like a teenager. College has this way of combining people of various ages both with ine foot in the same life and one foot out . I feel silly sometimes seeing others who have families or are now graduated with careers. But i dont want to feel run down and stuck that im not moving as fast as I should be.

I dont want to feel old I don't want to feel like the world isnt my oyster. I like how I apprached things when I was a teen with open eyes, an open heart, and an open mind. I think that's why i feel young . I dont judge prematurely, and i try and go at things openly,

I think Will and Kate set a new presence since they got married and had kids older. Its no longer a get married and have a family befire your 20s are over even at 29 people aren't focused on that, and I feel like it takes the pressure off. As women yes we have a clock, and it sucks and I want kid, I honestly do. But now isnt the time. Our parents' generation and ours have so many things that seperate us we're living a diffrent age more akin to agriculture turning into the industrial revolution than any other time.

I see celebrities who are in the same age group and it amazes me how they diffrent they look and what they done. I look at people loek SarJo and Britney Spears and I find its amazing what they have done and they look so much older. And I have to remind myself its ok youre not them you're not meant to be exactly like them.

I understand why Miley Cyrus wrote I used to be young. But I dont agree. We are still young. To a 96vyear old a 40nyear old is young

To a 50 year old a 35 year old is young

To a 19 year old and early 20s a 33 year old is someone to look up to thst we set standards to

But look at yourself in your own position. Things must have happened to you that never happened to anyone else, and those changes can be good. Dont be afriad to take longer in school to get your degree

Dont be afraid to start learning a new skill or hobby

It's never too late to try something.

I have to remidn myself that my own journy is mine and taking the shorter path isn't always fun or how its cracked up to be.

After 18 or 21 depending does age really matter when your heart and soul are worth the most weight? Just be a good person regardles if youre 18, 21, 25, 29, 32, 35, 37, 43, 57.... I just want to be a good person and be happy and i think that means accepting how many times i go around the sun doesnt need to dictate how I feel or what I do with my life.
