I’ve finished the first chapter of the long fic about Universe 7 (Anytime it rains). As soon as my second beta reader gives me the okay, I’ll post it. While I wait, I’ve written the first headcanon (out of three I’m definitely planning to write and post in the next few days) and picked up the drawing of Steb I’d left unfinished. I’m slow, as usual, but English isn’t my first language, and I’m juggling a lot of things at once. Enjoy!

Jayce:

-This man is planning to put a ring on your finger as soon as possible, okay? -Between the academy, public appearances, and both theoretical and practical studies, there isn’t a single moment when he’s really in the right mindset to bring up the topic -The worst part is that, deep down, he’s terrified of putting pressure on you -That’s why, the first time he hears you refer to him as “my husband” during a gala with noble families, he almost chokes -He has to gather all his strength not to grab the interlocutor by the shoulders and ask if they also heard you say that word -He’ll try to keep his composure, maybe responding to your remark with, “Yes, exactly. Her husband really did say/do/design that.”

Viktor:

-It’s not a thought he’s ever really entertained; it never crossed his mind -Part of it is that science is his priority, and part of it is that marriage doesn’t seem like something meant for people like him, -The first time you call him “your husband”, that thought suddenly becomes real in his head, and he can’t help but lean against a wall and wait for the other person to leave -“So, I’m your husband now, huh? Mmm… I don’t mind, a bit pretentious, though…” he jokes, making you roll your eyes -Now, more than ever, he has no idea what to do. He’ll give you a bronze ring from a machine he’s building -“Until I can get one worthy of you.”

Ekko:

-Yes -That’s it -The end -Okay, seriously. The idea of being certain that something will last forever is probably his greatest wish -The first time you call him your husband, he doesn’t see it coming -“Wait, you’re married?” -“I was talking about you, Ekko.” -The moment you say it, he points to his chest, you see his lip tremble slightly, and his eyes grow shinier -He won’t stop talking about it for a week, and at least once a day, he’ll ask if you still want to marry him, if you’re sure, if you love him -No rings before S2; the promise is made by drawing something for each other on your masks and clothes -After S2, he still can’t afford a ring, but now that life is more stable, he can start thinking about a more traditional gift, like a piece of jewelry

Vander:

-This man is ravenous for any family role you might offer him—fiancé, father, husband. Anything goes -The first time you call him “husband”, he plays it cool but will seize the first opportunity to return the favor by telling a customer you’re married -As soon as he can, he’ll squeeze your hand, even under the counter -The idea of being married and having a complete family is everything he’s ever wanted -He won’t stop calling you “my beautiful wife/husband” from that moment on.

Silco (old man):

-This man’s only sin is loving too much, but I’ll save that reflection for another post -Having no ties other than his illegitimate daughter doesn’t make him someone who’s particularly keen on formalities -The first time you call him “your husband” is in front of Sevika, and he slowly turns to look at you, while she slowly turns to look at him -“Did I... miss something?” Sevika asks, but he doesn’t reply, still perplexed, before glancing at her and saying, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” -He’s relieved but doesn’t show it. He can’t afford to just yet -As soon as he confirms you were serious, your name will be flamboyantly forgotten—he’ll constantly refer to you as “my wife/husband”

Silco (young):

-The man who survives on love -The first time you call him your husband is in front of Vander, and while Vander bursts out laughing, Silco chokes on his drink -“Are you serious?” He’s so happy that his pale iris are completely swallowed by his dilated pupils -He grabs a pen and draws a ring around your finger -To his credit, he works in a mine, so it’s hard to do better than that, but it becomes the goal that keeps him going -Completely focused on family, the future, and anything that sees the two of you together and happy

Steb:

-The first time you call him your husband is at a dinner among enforcer families, and being mute doesn’t stop him from stealing the spotlight -He whips around, blinking slowly with only his third eyelid in a gesture of confusion -When he’s 100% sure he understood what you said, his eyes widen, the small membranes under his eyes flutter madly, and even the barely visible gills near his jaw gasp for a moment -Someone says, “I didn’t know you were married,” and he immediately nods enthusiastically, not giving you time to take it back -Within 48 hours, he’ll have the ring ready

Jinx:

-The first time you call her “your wife”, she freezes -“What did you just call me?” -She’s used to being a little sister, a big sister, a daughter—she’d never thought she could be a wife. Family ties aren’t chosen, but the idea that someone would want her in their life so much they’d marry her feels incredible -“You want to marry me? Really? Why?” -She bursts into tears, and it’ll take at least 24 hours of cuddling in bed to calm her down -After that, she’ll run to her father to announce that she’s now a married woman

Vi:

-She might not be Silco and/or Vander’s blood daughter, but she’s inherited their deep desire for family -From her family’s tragic fate to Vander’s, she’s always seen family as the ultimate aspiration -When you call her “your wife” for the first time, she doesn’t notice right away, but a full minute later, she whirls around to look at you, as if to ask for confirmation -“Say it again.” -“...You need to buy bread?” -“No, all of it.” -“My wife needs to go buy bread.” -“Again.”

Caitlyn:

-Has she thought about it? Yes -Was she planning to act on it? Not exactly -Caitlyn struggles with emotions and feelings, which is why she hesitates and takes her time -But when you first call her “your wife”, her brain completely shuts off—she just stares at you, unable to hear a single word being said -If you or someone else asks her a question, she’ll snap out of it and respond, -“My wife/husband said everything.” Even if it makes no sense as an answer, making you laugh and leaving the other person baffled

Mel:

-Not a single flicker of surprise—the first time you call her “your wife”, she remains completely composed -“So, I’m your wife?” she asks as soon as you’re in private, approaching you like a feline. You can almost hear the purr in her voice -She’s amused but also intrigued by whatever game you’re playing -The idea of marriage is complicated for her—on one hand, it feels like it would limit her freedom to act, while on the other, unresolved family issues seem to devour her at the mere thought of starting a new cycle -She’ll tell you to go ahead, to get married, but she’ll also ask for time -In the meantime, though, she’ll start using the term “husband/wife” with you—she likes the way it rolls off her tongue

Sevika:

-Between the work she does, the environment she lives in, and all the interesting circumstances of her life, marriage has never been on her radar -Not to mention that in Zaun, it’s not exactly a common practice—people just move in together and build families when they can, without much fuss over formalities or bureaucracy -The first time it happens, she’s playing cards with the other goons, and you casually ask if “your wife is winning” -Her first reaction isn’t even hers—it’s the others’. Dustin, the blond goon with the lazy eye, almost starts crying, embarrassing her -Don’t worry, she’ll make you pay for it at home -She won’t ask to formalize anything, but in true Zaunite fashion, she’ll consider you married, plain and simple

He always struggled with self-esteem issues, mainly due to his sickness and disability that made it difficult for him to do much. A part of him forever will believe that you could easily do better than him, yet that doesn't stop him from getting terribly jealous anytime someone gets too friendly with you. Especially when they can see him standing next to you clearly being your partner as well.

But despite his insecurities, he doesn't allow anyone to harass you either on his watch. He lets you defend yourself for the most part until he has enough and lets his more sassy side handle the flirtatious person for you. He may not be able to do anything in a physical way, something he very much would rather avoid. But his tongue is sharp, and it takes little to make them quickly scurry away with a nervous apology for the disturbance.

He'll never admit to being jealous, however, and denies any teasing accusations you send his way. But he'll secretly ask for reassurance as he starts feeling embarrassed over his insecurities rather quickly after. A couple of hugs and kisses from your side will fix that right up, though.

》JAYCE

He has a reputation to keep up. And so, technically, he should always handle things professionally no matter what. People are watching him after all, and his public image can not be tarnished under any circumstance... or so he says. Things change in his mind when they are about you. In general, people know who you are and who you belong to since he rarely shuts up about it.

But every now and then, someone who is somehow unfamiliar with this concept will come up to you and attempt to woo you right in front of his very eyes. Now, Jayce tries to let you handle yourself, but doesn't hesitate to step in either if the person doesn't get the hint. His rather intimidating frame and position as a councilor help him out Immensely with this. He chases them away with a tight smile and a kiss to your head, as he casually asks how he can oh so graciously help them.

Once they leave, he'll pretend not to hear you, of you teasingly asking him if he was jealous. Him? Jealous? Hah! Impossible... okay, maybe a little. But don't tell anyone that.

》VI

As a pitfighter, Vi doesn't hesitate to get violent with anyone who comes close to the only good thing she has left in her life, which happens to be you. She's extremely protective and makes sure everyone gets the hint regarding who you belong to. But alas, there are always the couple strays that refuse to comprehend that fact and therefore attempt to "steal" you away from her. Something that never ends well for anyone.

Her temper is shorter than it used to be, and that becomes quite clear when she's quick to loom over the person that was pestering you. She knows that you can handle yourself just fine, too. But that doesn't stop her from grabbing their shoulder and asking them if she can help them out instead. Or maybe they want to talk it out in the pit? All the same to her, but the message is clear. She'll win if it comes to you every time, and that's enough to make the person scurry away in terror.

You'll definitely have to calm her down and reassure that you had everything handled. She's just looking out for you, though, and doesn't want you to get hurt, too, like everyone else in her life. The last thing she wants is to mess up again, so her overprotective tendencies will probably never lessen. Not that you kind anyways.

》CAITLYN

Your role as her partner is crystal clear to absolutely everyone in Piltover, especially after she takes over the troops as their new ruler. She's much more cutthroat and cold than she used to be before her mothers death, which made her extremely overprotective of you and your safety. She may even be suffocating at times with her security measures, but she finds it absolutely necessary. This also means, however, that those who try becoming a bit too friendly with you are always at risk of facing her wrath.

She doesn't hold back with her dismay and is quick to stand before you with a dark, stern glare directed at whoever was flirting with you beforehand. Caitlyn doesn't care if you can take care of yourself or not either. She'll take full advantage of her new position and power too, not hesitating to give the person that was pestering you a professionally worded threat that leaves them as pale as a ghost.

Admittedly, it's hard to tell if she's jealous or just worried in her own way. Before her mother's death, it may very well just be her being a bit jealous... but with her current position, she may also just be afraid to lose you too deep down. And she couldn't handle that.

》JINX

After Silco's death, Jinx's temper is milder than before due to her deteriorating mental health (if there was anything left of it to begin with). She's a lot calmer when handling situations and seeming more calculated than before, but that certainly doesn't quell the extreme abandonment issues in her at any rate. If anything, they've become much worse than before. This means that she'll cling to you and snap at anyone who nears you. No one is allowed to steal your attention away from her. No one can take you away from her. She just won't allow it when you're all she has left.

And so, she won't hesitate to use her gun on anyone who is pestering you. A death threat or two usually gets the point across anyway. Jinx will also let you handle yourself first, however though, knowing you can easily do that. But if things do get out of hand, she will step right to scare them away at best. She'd never kill anyone infront of you after all. She doesn't want to scare you away.

You'll have to reassure her of your loyalty a lot afterward, however, as her insecurities and issues can make her spiral fairly easily. Giving her a lot of attention and love makes everything go away, though, luckily.

》SEVIKA

She's very secure in your relationship and trusts you perfectly fine, which is why she rarely ever gets jealous. Why should she, anyway, when you'll always come back to her at the end of the day? Besides, people in the lanes know who you are and who you belong to, and most importantly, what will happen to their faces once she bashes them in if they ever harass you too much.

With that said, though, she typically lets you do your own thing and chase the person away yourself first before bothering to step in. If things get out of hand, then she'll suddenly be right behind you and tower over whoever it is that's not getting the hint. Blowing smoke right into their faces, she'll ask them if they have a problem, and if yes, then they should take it up with her outside. Although everyone knows she's the only one back afterwards. This usually does the trick.

Don't expect her to ever say that she is jealous, though, and hopes you know better, too. She knows you're loyal, as she certainly is for life and therefore doesn't worry about a thing regarding the strength of your relationship.

No one is better than her anyway.

I think there's a lot of signs pointing to Jayce actually doing the right thing ...or at least the right thing based on the information available to him at the time.

We can't know for a fact just how much Viktor was changed and what his healing was doing to the people who came to him in the long run, but considering all the hints dropped by the writers, the situation is much less clear than we think. Obviously, everyone's first instinct is to condemn Jayce and his actions, especially because Viktor is one of fan favourites, but looking at the teaser for the next Act and what little we know about what happened to Jayce, I think it might have been necessary evil.

I think this scene of Viktor temporarily 'possessing' Salo in order to talk with Jayce points to just how fucked this little community that Viktor created actually is. There's a reason why everyone's getting those 'it's a freaking cult' vibes.

This scene made me more uncomfortable than anything else this season and I think it's clear that it was meant to make feel that way. There's something so uncanny about Viktor's voice coming out of Salo's mouth, especially paired with that look on his face and how Viktor seems to be able to see and experience things through him in this moment.

And then there's also the issue of all these people dying a horrible drawn-out death as soon as Viktor himself 'dies'. Yes, they came to him on their own, they asked to be healed, but did they really know what they are getting into? Did they know this is what might happen?

Some of them were already dying, true, but Viktor healed all kinds of people, some of whom most likely had their whole lives ahead of them. He, knowingly or not, inevitably sped up this process. Not all of them were consummed by Shimmer-addiction or permanently disabled like Salo.

And then there's also the fact of all of them basically abandoning their previous lives to serve Viktor and his community. Which, okay, makes sense, there's certainly a parallel with the community that Ekko created for Zaunites to keep them safe from Piltover and Silco's plans. They made an informed choice, though, and I don't think the same can be said about Viktor's cult-like commute.

They seem peaceful, yes, but also devoid of personality and entirely dedicated to Viktor and his cause. Of course, it can be explained by gratitude towards him and desire to be kept safe in a calm and peaceful environment, but it's taken to such an extreme point that it definitely crosses the line into uncanny territory in my eyes. Their hivemind behaviour is very unsettling and even though Viktor seems to frame his recent actions as some kind of greater good, I don't think it's necessarily true.

We have yet to find out what Jayce saw and who's in the right and who's in the wrong. Either way, as usual when it comes to Arcane, it seems to me that more than ever, everyone's a victim of the circumstances and tragedy spares no one.

Considering that Viktor is set up to be 'reborn', I can't help but wonder what it means for his community and if they will also be brought to life by whatever connection they have with him. It would be a fascinating choice given how Viktor's arc has always been about autonomy and making your own choices.

Arcane, it's been a pleasure having my heart torn out of my chest by you. Can't wait for the last Act.

“WAIT. YOU CAN SING?!” Jinx immediately demands a private concert. She’ll sit crisscross on the floor, eyes wide like a kid, yelling, “DO THE HIGH NOTE! DO IT!” And if you’re shy? Oh, she’ll fix that real quick. She’ll grab your hands and start twirling you around like, “C’mon, babe, we’re making a musical!”

Also, she absolutely wants you to sing during her chaotic explosions. “Nothing says boom like a ballad, right?”

Vi

Vi finds out you can sing, and she’s floored. Like, totally stunned. “Wait, you never told me you were this good.” She’ll act all cool about it, but the second you start singing, her cheeks turn pink, and she’s just like, “Oh, okay, so I’m dating an angel now?”

She’ll tease you sometimes, though, like, “Not bad, babe, but I can definitely do better,” and then she belts out the worst off-key note you’ve ever heard.

Sevika

Sevika is the definition of lowkey obsessed. She pretends it’s no big deal, but you catch her watching you with this soft little smirk whenever you sing. “Not bad,” she says, but the way her eyes stay glued to you? Yeah, she’s in love.

Also, she’ll tell anyone who’ll listen. “Oh, yeah, my partner? Killer voice. Better than any of those Piltie performers.” If you ever sing her to sleep, she’s done for. Total simp mode unlocked.

Silco

Silco is SHOCKED. Like, he didn’t expect this at all. He’ll raise an eyebrow and say something like, “A hidden talent, hmm? Fascinating.” But deep down, he’s super impressed and maybe a little emotional.

If you’re singing in private, he’ll quietly sit and listen, his sharp features softening ever so slightly. He won’t admit it, but he loves the peace your voice brings to his otherwise stressful life.

Vander

Vander is SO proud. “You’ve got a voice that could stop a fight in its tracks,” he says with a grin. He’ll encourage you to sing whenever you feel like it, even if it’s just humming while you’re both cooking.

He’s also the type to suggest performing at The Last Drop, like, “C’mon, they’d love you!” And if you do? He’s in the front row, cheering louder than anyone else.

Ekko

Ekko is IN AWE. “Yo, how did I not know you could sing like this?!” He’ll immediately start making plans for you to perform at one of his Firelight gatherings. “You’d totally kill it on stage.”

If you’re shy, he’s super supportive. “Okay, okay, what if you just sing for me? No one else, promise.” And if you sing to him while he works on his gadgets? He’s melting on the spot.

Jayce

Jayce is your #1 fan. “Babe, your voice is incredible!” He’s the type to hype you up SO MUCH it’s almost embarrassing. He’ll make sure everyone knows you’re talented. “Yeah, my partner? Total rockstar. No big deal.”

He’ll also 100% try to duet with you. Spoiler: he’s terrible, but he doesn’t care because you’re laughing, and that’s all that matters to him.

Viktor

Viktor is absolutely enchanted. The first time he hears you sing, he just stares, blinking like, “That was… beautiful.” He’s not one for grand gestures, but he’ll quietly hum your songs while he’s working, and if you catch him, he’ll blush and be like, “You’re contagious.”

On tough days, he’ll ask you to sing to him, his head resting on your shoulder as he murmurs, “You make everything feel lighter.”

Caitlyn

Caitlyn is blown away. “Darling, your voice is stunning,” she says, completely captivated. She’ll encourage you to sing whenever you feel like it, even suggesting you try performing in Piltover. “I could arrange something, you know.”

She also LOVES when you sing to her while she’s relaxing. “You’re my personal lullaby,” she says with a soft smile.

Mel Medarda

Mel isn’t even surprised. “Of course, you’re a talented singer. Why wouldn’t you be?” But when you actually sing for her, she’s completely mesmerized. She’ll sip her wine, eyes fixed on you, and murmur, “You should perform for the entire council.”

She’ll commission a full orchestra just so you can sing with them. “You deserve the finest accompaniment, my love.”

Ambessa Medarda

Ambessa is so nonchalant about it, but you KNOW she’s impressed. “You’ve got a nice voice,” she says, as if it’s no big deal. But the next time you sing, she’s sitting up straighter, arms crossed, totally focused.

She’ll casually mention it in conversation, like, “Yes, my partner is a singer. No, you can’t book them. They’re mine.”

Cecil B. Heimerdinger

Heimerdinger finds your singing fascinating. “The human vocal range is truly remarkable!” He’s full of weirdly specific compliments, like, “Your pitch is mathematically perfect in the upper registers.”

He’ll hum along with you in his adorable, squeaky way, and if you sing while he’s working, he’ll call it “a most delightful soundtrack.”

Salo

Salo plays it cool, but he’s secretly super impressed. “You’ve got some pipes, huh?” He won’t say much, but the soft smile on his face while you sing says everything.

He’ll also tease you sometimes, like, “I should start charging people just to hear you.”

Scar

Scar is HYPED. “You’re a singer?! That’s so badass!” he will demand a private concert and cheer like a maniac after every song. “Encore! Encore!”

If you ever sing while he is working, she will totally get distracted and start singing along, turning the whole thing into a random jam session.

Maddie Nolen

Maddie is your BIGGEST FAN. She’s recording videos of you singing, posting them everywhere, and hyping you up like, “Look at my babe absolutely KILLING IT.”

She’ll also try to harmonize with you, even if she’s awful, just because she wants to join in the fun. “Okay, I’m bad, but I’m here for the vibes.”

Lest

Lest is quietly enchanted. She doesn’t say much, but the way her eyes soften when you sing says it all. “Your voice suits you,” she murmurs, his tone full of quiet admiration.

She loves listening to you sing while you’re doing everyday things, like cooking or cleaning. “It makes the world feel a little brighter,” she says softly.

TL;DR: They’re ALL obsessed with your voice. Whether they’re cheering, bragging, or blushing quietly. you’re THEIR star.

Arcane Characters + Working at the Brothel

Summary: You finally got a job! But it’s at the brothel. Here’s how the Arcane cast reacts to it. 

Characters: Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Viktor, Ekko, Silco, Sevika, Mel, Jayce, Vander

Jinx

“You got a job?! That’s great news, toots! Where?... The brothel? Awesome! I’ll try and go there every week- No every day- No, no no! Every hour!”

Will literally be a super supportive girlfriend. She’s just excited at the fact you actually got a job after you’ve been complaining about being unemployed for so long. She happily goes to the brothel almost every day you work just to be your client. The visits are sweet, but also weird because sometimes she’ll pay you even though you both live together. But her actions are appreciated.

Vi

“Oh, you got the job? No way, that’s awesome! What’s the job though?... You’re working at the brothel? Huh. Okay.”

Honestly, Vi is okay with your line of work. Though she would lie if she said she wasn’t a little fearful for you. You are her lover after all! You mean the world to her and if she was to hear that someone touched you wrong or cussed you out for doing your job, she would probably kill someone. Luckily, her fear subsided when she spoke with Babette, who assured her nothing bad would happen to you. Sometimes Vi will surprise you at work when she’s done with her job early or has a day off. When she’s your client, you two will either talk for hours on end or use the many experimental rooms around you to your advantage. Wink wink-

Caitlyn Kiramman

“Congratulations on getting the job, darling. What will you be doing for work?... Oh. Um. Well, um. Alright. N-No, don’t worry. I’m okay… Why the brothel?”

Caitlyn is honestly against it. She might play coy and act like she’s alright with you talking to and doing things with strangers in Zaun, but she’s actually upset when you first tell her. She gives you a somewhat cold shoulder attitude for a few days until you confront her about it. It takes her some time, but she slowly warms up to you working at the brothel. She’ll sometimes show up and say she’s a customer to talk to you about her day. Be ready to have her visit you during hours if she’s had a terrible day at work.

Viktor

“Where will you be working now?... The brothel? Okay. Are you sure you want to work there though? I heard of the sort of things that happen there.”

Viktor is not against you working at the brothel. He just needs to make sure you’ll be safe. He knows Zaun can be shady with their business transactions, let alone that Zaunites can get handsy for little to no reason. If you assure him you’ll be okay, he’ll believe you. However, this doesn’t change that he will always be concerned about you when you’re at work. He’ll go to the brothel sometimes on his break just to check up on you. You can try and make him stay there for a visit, but he’ll politely decline. Besides, that’s not really his kind of setting.

Ekko

“The brothel, huh? What do you do there?... Oh, talk? That’s cool. So like therapy?... Woah. Woah! You sure you wanna do that?!”

Ekko will be super skeptical of your new line of work. He’s usually not a jealous guy, but when he hears that people will be paid to do whatever they want to you, he loses it. It’s not until you tell him that you have the decision to decline offers and choose what boundaries you have does he calm down a bit. He knows you are your own person, so he’ll let you stay at the brothel. But he’ll never tell you he has some firelights scoping out the area for your safety… Oops.

Silco

“You? Working at the brothel? I don’t think so, my love. I don’t think so…”

Silco is definitely against you working at the brothel. He knows about the kind of men and women that go there. Hell, he knows that Sevika goes there! You can try your damndest to go to work, but this man will use any excuse and obstacle he can find. Walking there? Oh no, an investigation was happening at the entrance. Got called in? Gonna have to decline because you had to go on a mission with Sevika. Because of his actions, you almost lose your job just as quickly as you got it. From that day forward, Sevika is still a regular, but she’s also your number one client.

“That’s good to hear, honey. Where will you be working?... Like hell you are.”

You can argue, you can talk it out, you can do sweet things for her, but Mel will never let you work at the brothel. She knows from her time in Noxus and through her mother how those kinds of places work. So the last thing she needed was to see or imagine you having one on one time with someone in an inappropriate manner for money. She doesn’t care if you can choose what happens to you, she will still stand against it. Before you know it, you’ve lost your job. But luckily Mel is quick to help you find another.

Jayce Talis

“So you’re working at the brothel? What’s that? Like a church or something?”

The poor innocent fool that is known as Jayce. He has spent his entire life in Piltover, never setting foot outside of the topside to explore the undercity. So of course he doesn’t know what a brothel is! He will think you have a sweet job helping people worship an entity or guide them in life. One day though, he chose to give you a surprise visit. And when he saw what you were actually doing? Well, let’s just say Babette closed the brothel down for a while when a bunch of enforcers came crashing through her place with a vengeance. By the way, you were fired.

Vander

“You finally got a job? That’s great to hear. So where is it, huh?... Oh, the brothel. You just gave me a reason to start going back there.”

Vander is supporting your work at the brothel. This big softy will literally pop up there occasionally to be your client for the entire day. He will take advantage of all the different rooms the brothel has and the services it provides with you by his side. Though you both have one rule; Never let the kids know, no matter what. Even if they question your line of work, keep your mouth shut. The last thing they need is their minds being blown when they hear what you do for a living.

So I've seen a lot of discourse around some of the arcane ships and I felt like throwing my opinion into the ring too

I will preface this by saying I think shipping is fine, I am a casual shipper of both Jayce/Viktor (Though I think a queerplatonic relationship could work lovely for them) and Vander/Silco (yeah this ones a lil silly I guess but i just think it's funny so)

So firstly, Viktor and Jayce. I have seen lots of people (mostly on reddit but some here too) saying that we shouldn't ship them because guys should be allowed to be close and affectionate without being called gay. That is a valid viewpoint until it comes to the point where one is invalidating LGBTQ relationships. There is definitely a sore lack of healthy, close affectionate m/m friendships in the mainstream media. However, there is also a MASSIVE lack of good M/M, and same sex couple representation in general and there has been for many years. When people try to say "why is everything gay nowadays" it comes across as rude and condescending because it's really not true. The LGBTQ community has fought so hard just to reach the level of acceptance that we are at today, and even that is the bare minimum and below in some places. I think we should be allowed to have both of those things, they should be able to coexist, but people aren't making it better by just attacking anyone else who shares a slightly different opinion.

By all means criticise JayVik for it's faults (Mel?? My girl?? Jayce fumbled you so hard and the writers did too) (Also Skye, they deadass brought her back this season just to get rid of her again) but don't make it about that.

I think let people ship whatever they want to ship, and as long as it's not harming real people and if it's something that could potentially trigger people then keep it to yourself/make sure it stays within circles of people that it won't trigger.

Same applies to Vander/Silco, though I knowww this one is a bit more controversial. Way I see it, the "brothers" that they refer each other to applies more in a "comerades" sense, as I believe it was translated as such in the other language dubs? Anyway yeah, I just think they'd be funny together and they have a lot of angst writing potential so...

Yeah. Just let people ship who they wanna ship, shippers, don't force anyone to believe in it if the writers deliberately left it ambiguous (JayVik ending scene). At the end of the day they are all just fictional characters and That Is Okay. It's all chill.

Okay so hear me out. Bizarre Jayvik au…

Subnautica. (Spoilers for both the game and Arcane season 2)

Piltover is kind of the equivalent of Alterra, big greedy-for-progress science corporation that runs a lot of earth and intergalactic travel and junk. (Other nations of runeterra are probably like- competing corporations idk.)

Jayce and Viktor are renowned research partners who contributed a lot of scientific knowledge to the invention of the phase gates (space hexgates) and they’re sent on the Aurora to go scope out planet 4546B. It’s their first field mission they’ve done together. Viktor did some private missions on his own through Singed before he got scouted into Piltover by Heimerdinger, and Jayce and his mother used to live on a colony planet before a natural disaster drove them out and he’s done lots of separate missions once he’d joined Piltover, but they’ve never gotten to run their research on a planet together before. It’s a very exciting prospect.

What they aren’t expecting is for the ship to get shot down by a mysterious alien canon and to crash land on 4546B. They get separated due to a tear in the ship and have to take separate lifepods to escape. Viktor lands in the reefy shallows (where the player lands in the game), while Jayce’s pod winds up landing on the floating island because he’s a lucky fucking duck. Viktor’s resourceful as hell, though, so as soon as he’s able to scrap together a seaglide, his leg isn’t much of an issue.

The plot details are a bit fuzzy, but eventually they do reunite, Jayce has got a whole garden going on the island, Viktor’s gathered tons of resources and has a pretty solid base, and they both are slowly learning more and more about not only the intelligent lives who once inhabited this planet, but also Piltover’s corruption and dubious plans for the planet. (Cue environmentalism win as Jayce and Viktor plot to stop them) also they both get sick and do the whole sea empress cure plot.

The plot definitely bleeds into Below Zero because I want something to set them apart, like maybe Jayce thinks they can go change Piltover for the better, but Viktor recognizes their corruption for what it is and leaves Jayce. Also he definitely gets severely injured either before or after that and Jayce revives him using the decoded research of the aliens who once lived there, and utilizes their tech, and can you IMAGINE Machine Herald but alien? The hexclaw being one of Al-An’s cool levitating arms? And Jayce going lowkey feral and being like Maida with the battle suit and pet snow stalker?

They make amends at some point, cure the virus once and for all in the big old iced leviathan, and stay on the planet together, warding away visitors who might harm it.

Anyway alien machine herald and feral Jayce with his massive dog and maybe Viktor finds a Rio-adjacent critter friend as well? I need it. They guard 4546B and Viktor lowkey formed that mental connection with Jayce like Al-An so they can mind text. They’re also husbands. Win for environmentalism AND the gays.

What I think the arcane is + where Jayce was.

(Arcane act 2 spoilers!!)

Okay so to preface this I know absolutely nothing about league of legends lore, however I did try to research as much as I could. Please let me know if I got anything wrong!!

A popular theory ATM is that Jayce was in the void, and I think this is definitely plausible. Some evidence for this comes in the form of the conversation Viktor has with Sky:

The specification of the will within Jayce being "ancient" and seemingly having a voice links to the void itself, as the void was created eons ago at the birth of the universe (this could also possibly link to the "first great creatures" within the void). The use of "voice" links to the idea of the void having a call:

As well as this, Viktor mentions something along the lines of Jayce seeing something that changed him, and Jayce' actions seem to imply he has seen the future, or has seen/experienced a different version of what occured in this episode- which links almost perfectly to another fact about the void:

Along with this, Viktor also mentions that Jayce seems to have been "touched by the arcane", which fits with the wording here. But, here's where things get interesting- through some research, it doesn't seem like anyone is fully aware of what the arcane in arcane itself is, many referring to it as simply "an umbrella term for magic". So what if the arcane, or whatever hivemind Viktor is a part of, is the void itself? While this doesn't coincide with the mention of the magic in arcane being a "wild rune", I did find some evidence to suggest that the arcane and the void are linked.

First of all, the void itself is described to "go dormant" if it is not fed. What if in the scene where Viktors blood falls into the hexcore, he was actually unintentionally "feeding" the void, thus awakening it from its dormancy?:

Another point, though possibly slightly far reaching, is the fact that the void born look/are similar in property to how viktor looks after awakening:

And not only do the voidborn look similar to Viktor, but they also look slightly similar to Jayce's hallucinations of the people the herald has healed:

So yes, i think the void and the arcane, including Viktor, may be linked. It's also worth mentioning that the void wants to "usher in total oblivion across Runeterra"... So maybe Jayce has a reason to fear it.

Hello arcane fandom-I have a theory I wanted to share about the full trailer for season 2. Before getting into it, there are NO SPOILERS FROM LEAKERS!!! I have stayed clear of leaks, and haven’t seen anything about season 2 except for the OFFICIAL teaser trailer and clips released by Riot and Netflix.

Okay theory time-I believe we can speculate on what we’re going to see in the full trailer release. Definitely more of the sisters, maybe finally some Jayce and Viktor.

But, I have a theory that the opening from season one, will reflect what we see in the full season two trailer. The first half of the opening is our introduction to our characters, their appearances, their social standing, the risks, etc.

But the second half, we get more statue stills of the characters in motion.

And of course the sisters facing off.

We’ve seen the sisters like this in the teaser trailer, a lot of folks have pointed that out already. But we also see a shot with Caitlyn and her new weapon, positioned in a very similar manner as shown in the opening for season 1. Now it’s not the exact same, BUT neither is the shot with the sisters facing off. But both are considerably close.

I don’t believe we’re gonna see Viktor’s fully mechanized form in the trailer (cries) that seems like too big of a reveal, that’s something for the full show. But it would make sense to see a glimpse of him and the hexcore, similarly to how we get an unfocused-nearly out of frame shot of him in the teaser trailer. So getting that shot of him done in the likeness to the pose from the season 1 opening seems plausible.

Near similar thing with Jayce, he is going to play a role-a large role this season. But showing him do a lot also seems like a reach, whereas having him hit something that explodes-or have his hammer activated into hammer gun :tm: and shoot something allows for a cutaway.

For Ekko we get a shot with him squinting in the teaser trailer-but a whole clip released of him and himerdinger sneaking around. But I still think it’s safe to say he’ll show up in the full trailer on his glider and pipe (?).

Another thing, all these segments in the season 1 opening never actually show up in the first season. Which to me is pretty telling.

In conclusion, we may get some minor shots with Viktor, Jayce, and Ekko in the final trailer for season 2. Though I don’t think they will reveal too much. Thank you for coming to my tedtalk.

Look After (Rewrite) - Chapter 1

Note: I'm officially rewriting an old Arcane fanfic I had written back in 2022. I'm no longer satisfied with the original one and feel like there is a lot to improve.

“Listen, do you hear that? Something’s under there…” One of the enforcers pointed out.

“It’s coughing. Someone’s under there! Quick, move the debris!”

The enforcers worked together to help clear the rubble. They took a step back, surprised to see what was trapped under there.

A young girl groaned in pain, her limbs cramped up from the rubble. An ashy substance covered her hair, face, and clothes. She coughed, the dust from the explosion still hung in the air. From what they could see, she’d only received a few minor cuts on her face that seemed would heal with time.

“A little girl?” one enforcer remarked.

Viktor blinked, frowning in confusion. When Professor Heimerdinger told him to go and note the situation, he agreed, as always. He had been under the assumption that all it would involve was taking dangerous items and a person into custody, as well as probably some paperwork.

Now, plans had changed. Finishing it was going to take longer than he thought. Finding a child slightly buried in rubble from the explosion was definitely not what he had in mind.

“Do you think she was involved with the robbery?” Jayce spoke up, ignoring how the cuffs had started to dig into his wrists.

“Not sure… we’ll probably have to question her,” Grayson answered.

Viktor bit down the urge to scoff. “Question her? Look at how young she is. How could she possibly be involved?”

“We question everyone who is a suspect. However, she needs to be examined for injuries first.”

The kid didn’t move. Her breathing began to grow louder as a masked enforcer started to reach their hand out to her.

Every thought in Viktor’s head was telling him to stay out of it. He had already said something. He didn’t need to interfere more. This wasn’t his job. But seeing the panicked breathing of the young girl was gnawing at him.

As he was about to speak up, Grayson beat him to it.

“I’ll examine her wounds. Being so young and in such a state, she is… intimidated by your mask.”

Viktor let out a breath of relief he didn’t know he’d been holding.

“Come on out of the rubble, child, it’s not safe. We need to make sure you’re okay, is all.” Grayson crouched down and held out her hand, hoping the girl would take it.

The girl’s breathing didn’t slow. She glanced around the room, meeting Viktor’s eyes. He tried giving her a subtle nod, signaling that they weren’t here to hurt her. Arline slowly reached out her hand before suddenly pulling back. She shut her eyes, quickly shaking her head no.

Grayson tried not to show her frustration. “Please, we’re running out of time here. We’re only trying to keep you safe.”

“If I may…” Viktor stammered for a second.

Every enforcer looked at him. Meanwhile, Jayce stayed silent. At least dragging this out meant he’d stay out of jail for a while longer.

She sighed. “Worth a shot, I suppose.”

Viktor slowly moved to crouch down in front of her.

The clothes she was wearing made him realize where she had come from. The familiar look of multiple layers to help with the cold, as well as multiple stitches from fixing each little hole or tear. He had no doubt that she was from the Undercity. Though she would need a new outfit, seeing as her current clothes were hardly useable anymore after the explosion.

“It’s okay, we’re not going to hurt you,” Viktor spoke gently. “You’re from the Undercity, right? I’m from there as well.”

Her eyes lit up in surprise. Her breathing slowed somewhat, realizing that she wasn’t in danger. She tilted her head, still giving him a wary look.

“Come on, all we want to do right now is to make sure you’re not hurt, well, hurt worse than those cuts on your face. Is that okay?” He held his hand out.

She stared at him before looking down and then back at him. Finally, she reached her hand out. Viktor held onto her hand as he pulled her out, using his cane to help him stand up again. She held on tight to his hand, as if he was a life raft. Viktor didn’t care, just relieved he was able to convince her to come out.

The enforcers were grateful for his help for once. His presence there meant they were able to clean and bandage any of her wounds, as well as check her for any signs of concussions.

“I’ll have the others take her to the station, and we will finally be able to resume our current investigation,” Grayson decided.

When one of the enforcers grabbed her hand, she immediately started to resist, crying and trying to break free.

“No! No!” She sobbed, struggling against the enforcer. “Let me go!”

“Wait.” Viktor found himself interjecting. “I can take her for now… I’ll speak with Councillor Heimerdinger about our situation.”

“This is highly irregular, but seeing as we have no other options, I’ll allow it.”

The enforcer let go of her hand and she immediately ran and hid behind Viktor, peeking her head out. Her crying had quieted down, only quiet sniffling at this point.

“It’s, um, it’s alright, dear.” He slightly patted her shoulder.

“Can’t believe Powder lost all the stuff, as usual,” Mylo scoffed. He held a tiny mirror in his hand, checking to see how badly he was bruised. His broken reflection stared back at him, the mirror had been cracked multiple times throughout the years.

“I did my best!” Powder argued. She pulled her knees to her chest, trying to ignore the burn in her throat.

“Guys, I thought I told you to knock it off,” Vi interjected. “Powder is safe. That’s what’s important.” She glanced over at her sister.

“Whatever, I’m just saying she had one job. Don’t lose the stuff. And what does she do? Lose it,” Mylo grumbled.

Vi furrowed her brows as she thought, her face slowly morphing into a frown. She got up from her spot and began to pace somewhat. Normally, Mylo’s griping wouldn’t get stuck on repeat in her head. Now, however…

“Vi? What is it?” Powder looked up at her.

“Don’t let Mylo’s whining get to you,” Claggor added.

“I was not whining—”

“Stop talking,” Vi commanded. She glanced down at the floor, briefly touching her chin as she thought.

Everyone immediately froze. This wasn’t her usual annoyed tone. They all looked at her, confused.

“Has anyone seen Arline?” Vi looked back up at them.

“What does that little pipsqueak have to do with anything?” Mylo rolled his eyes.

Vi quickly shushed him, earning an offended look back.

“Now that you mention it… she’s not hanging around us like she usually does.” Claggor furrowed his brows. “Which is nice for once, but…”

Powder was uncharacteristically silent. Vi met her gaze once again, noticing a weird look on her face.

“Powder… what do you know? Spill it,” Vi prompted.

She chewed on her bottom lip, trying to avoid her eyes for as long as she could.

“Okay, okay! I may have noticed Arline trying to follow us earlier…”

“And you didn’t think to say anything?” Vi’s eyes widened in shock.

“I didn’t think she would actually try to follow us!” she defended. “I thought it was impossible. She’s younger than I am!”

“Did either of you see her?” Vi looked at them.

“No, but she’s small, and she knows how to stay out of sight usually,” Claggor said.

“You know I would’ve said something if I had noticed another… obstacle join us.” Mylo shot Powder a dirty look.

She glared at him, turning away.

Vi muttered curses under her breath. This couldn’t be happening. After everything that happened, and now one of their own, potentially lost. She always knew the girl looked up to them, but to actually follow? She’d only done practice runs at this point, pick-pocketing at the most. But a full-blown heist?

“Vi? What are we gonna do?” Powder asked. She glanced down, not meeting her sister’s gaze.

Vi took a breath, sitting on the arm of the couch as she thought.

“We tell Vander none of this, understand?” She looked at them. “I’ll handle this. I’ll go looking for her. She must’ve gotten lost topside. Or… someone brought her in. She’s young enough, they’d help her.”

“You can’t, it’s too risky after today,” Claggor pointed out.

“I have to try.” She frowned. “And I’ll be careful, I promise.”

The rest of them shared an uneasy look.

“You three can try looking around here just in case. If Vander asks where I am, tell him I’m… tell him I’m out.”

“Out? Out doing what?” Mylo scoffed in disbelief.

“Getting something for Powder… or something. Anything that’s believable. We were out today with no problems.”

“That was before the explosions, though,” Claggor said.

“Guys, please.” She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

They hesitantly nodded.

“We have to look out for our own. We know this,”

“Be careful, Vi,” Powder murmured.

“I know.” She gave her a reassuring smile.

Viktor had decided to take her to his place for now. She needed to rest and recover after the day she’d had. But he knew he’d have to deal with Heimerdinger and the enforcers about this soon. As well as the other case on top of that.

He sighed, placing his keys down on the table by the door. The girl still clung to him, eyes wide as she looked around the place.

“This is my home. You’re welcome to stay, um, at least right now.”

She felt brave enough to let go of his hand, slowly walking around the place and taking it in. Before he could say anything, she sat down on his couch, leaning into the cushion.

“It’ll be such a pain to clean off the soot…”

“Are you hungry?” he asked.

She nodded.

“What would you like? I believe I have some fruit around here… or maybe crackers…”

“Soup,”

“Finally, she speaks.” He thought.

“Um… that could be arranged. I think I still have a can of vegetable soup. Do you want that?”

“What?”

He had a puzzled look on his face. It wasn’t like he was talking extra quietly. Surely it wasn’t his accent.

“I said I have some vegetable soup. Do you want some?”

She nodded.

“Good, I’ll get started on that. In the meantime… would you want to clean up? You’d feel better after getting all of that mess off you,”

She glanced around, unsure.

“Oh, the bathroom is right down that hall.” He pointed. “It’s not too far and I’ll still be here if you need me.”

After some consideration, she got up from her spot and headed toward the bathroom.

Viktor hadn’t been around kids much. The only time he could think was whenever Heimerdinger wanted him to go with him to visit some of the youngest academy pupils. But that had been quite different.

Could a possible seven or eight-year-old run her own bath? Should she? He tried to remember what he could accomplish at that age, though it was fuzzy. And besides, not every kid was the same. Maybe she had someone at her home who helped her, parents, perhaps.

“Actually, you know what? I’ll draw a bath for you.” He quickly stepped in front of her right as she was reaching for the doorknob. “And I’ll have to get you something to wear…”

Now that would definitely be a problem. Where would he even find clothes for her? He should’ve thought this through more.

“You can wear one of my shirts as a gown for now… I guess.” He sighed, shrugging a bit.

After getting it worked out, she sat down at the table, waiting for her meal. Her hair and face were clean. He had to roll up the sleeves for her, otherwise the shirt would just completely swallow her up. It practically did, though she seemed calmer, so there was that.

Her old clothes, scraps more accurately, were left in a pile on the bathroom floor. Despite the state they were in, he couldn’t bring himself to throw them away. They were all she had currently.

Viktor stood in the small kitchen, facing away from her as he was getting ready to bring her soup over. “I was hoping maybe we could talk. What’s your name?”

“What?” she asked.

He held back a sigh. It didn’t seem like she was messing with him, but still, something was off. He ignored it for now, bringing her bowl over to where she was sitting. He sat down across from her.

“Careful, it might be a tad hot. I asked, what is your name?”

“Arline,” she answered.

Now they were getting somewhere.

“Arline, that’s a nice name.”

Arline allowed a small smile on her face. “Sometimes people get it wrong, they spell it like A-R-L-E-N-E, but there’s a I instead.”

“I know the feeling. I’m Viktor, with a K instead of a C.”

“Viktor?”

He nodded.

She repeated his name a couple of times under her breath, testing it out. The delicious smell of the soup got to her, and she immediately started scarfing it down.

“Hey, careful. I don’t want you to choke on it.” He warned.

She listened and began to take her time more.

He couldn’t really blame her. He remembered how long it took for him to adjust to Piltover meals at first. Viktor rested his face against the palm of his hand. A small frown slipped. This day wasn’t going like he’d planned. Though he figured he was dealing with it the best he could.

“So… do you want to talk about what happened?” He broke the silence.

Viktor knew the enforcers would want to question her eventually. Maybe if he could ask her a few questions himself, then she wouldn’t be forced to go through that.

Arline shifted in her seat. She glanced down at her soup, taking small bites as requested.

“Okay, let’s start with something easier. How old are you?”

“How old am I? Seven,” she answered.

“There’s no way a seven-year-old attempted that heist, maybe whoever did… left her? But… why?”

“Seven is a nice number to be,” Viktor commented.

Arline chuckled. “How old are you, Mister Viktor?”

“Very old. You’d never guess.” He joked to lighten the mood.

She giggled. “You don’t look old, old, just… grownup age.” She took another bite of her soup.

“Thank you.”

After a bit of coaxing, Viktor managed to get some important information about Arline. As he’d originally assumed, she hadn’t been involved with the heist whatsoever. No theft, no explosions. She had simply wanted to be included in her group and snuck away last minute. That also meant that she was most likely left behind by accident.

She wouldn’t say who was with her, no matter how much he tried to convince her. Yes, what they did was wrong, but he was more worried about not being able to reunite Arline with her group. He hoped whoever left her behind would come back to get her.

Later, the enforcers showed up at his place, demanding to question the kid. After explaining all that he knew, they seemed satisfied enough to leave her out of the main investigation. Though he knew the law would get involved again in trying to return her. Perhaps Heimerdinger could help instead. Though that was for another time.

For now, he had some time left with her before the trial and his work. After the slight questioning about what happened, their conversation turned more casual. She was starting to open up more, little by little.

“I like your stick, I mean cane! Sorry…” she spoke, looking at his cane currently propped up against the couch next to him.

Viktor chuckled shortly. “You’re fine, and thank you.”

“I could make something for it, like a little pocket bag thingy!” Her eyes lit up.

“You know how to sew?” he asked.

Viktor knew the basics of sewing, but it wasn’t something he particularly focused on perfecting. The majority of Zaunites knew at least how to hand-sew. It was often a lifesaving skill to have.

She nodded. “Yeah, I’ve made lots. I got to use a sewing machine one time. It rattled so loudly, but that’s because it was thrown away and then fixed up.”

“I know that there are a few sewing machines at least around the Academy… non-rattling ones. Perhaps I could borrow one that you could use. Would you like that?”

“Yes, please!”

“We will have to see.” He had a small smile on his face.

“I could fix my clothes,” Arline muttered to herself.

Viktor sighed. “I don’t know, dear… you could try.”

He knew her clothes were beyond basic repair. Maybe could be fixed with lots of patchwork. However, even that was a bit of a stretch. He didn’t want to crush her hopes of fixing it, so he kept this to himself.

Viktor glanced at the clock. He would be late if he didn’t get a move on. If it was later, he would’ve tried putting her to bed. However, it was still too early for that. It felt wrong to leave her by herself, but it didn’t feel right to bring her as well. All those people and prying eyes might leave her feeling overwhelmed.

Realization shone on his face. Sky was nearby. Or at least it seemed like it, since she had asked before in the past if they could walk home together after work. He wasn’t expecting her to babysit, but surely she would be open to helping in case of an emergency.

Using his cane, Viktor stood up from the couch, working his plan through his head.

Arline looked up at him, tilting her head. “Where are you going?”

“Listen, Arline… I have some errands I need to run, but I should be back tonight,” he hesitated. It was clear she had some separation anxiety. “I will be back tonight.” He corrected.

“But where are you going?” She stood up as well.

“It’s just some work stuff,”

“Can I come?” she asked.

Viktor sighed. “I think it would be better if you stayed here… but don’t worry, I’ll show you how to get in contact with me if anything happens. We use this… tube system. Are you familiar?”

She nodded. “A little.”

“Okay, good. If anything happens, you can send a message to Sky. She’s a friend, and then she’ll send a message to me, understood? I’ll show you how everything works before I go, okay?” he explained.

Arline glanced down at the floor for a moment, frowning but ultimately nodding.

“We also need to get your sleeping situation set up… the couch should suffice. I’ll grab an extra pillow and blanket for you.”

“Oh…” she murmured.

“What’s wrong?” He paused his slightly frantic planning for a second.

“I didn’t think I’d be away from home for so long…” She shrugged.

He gave her a sympathetic frown. “I know, and I’m sorry.”

“Thank you for letting me stay, Mistor Viktor,”

“You’re welcome, Arline.”

Viktor’s guilt grew louder in his head as he made it back to his apartment. He hadn’t meant to get so swept up in work… and Jayce’s discovery. But how could he not? This was groundbreaking. Reality set in as he worked on unlocking his door. The fact that he had left her all by herself, in a strange and new place… at least he had managed to let Heimerdinger know about what was going on currently.

He quietly opened the door, careful not to make too much noise. If Arline had a bedtime, she was well past it. The lights were off as well, but he’d navigated his place in the dark plenty of times, usually when he was awake working on stuff late at night. Thankfully, the curtains didn’t stop the bright moon from shining in somewhat as well.

Viktor sighed in relief when he found Arline fast asleep on the couch, curled up with the soft blanket he’d provided. She had been fine while he was gone, though the worry he’d felt didn’t feel worth it to him. He would have to be more mindful of his time.

He scoffed to himself, shaking his head. He was overthinking it. Arline was only supposed to be here temporarily, anyway. Viktor headed to his room, but not before he looked back at the girl one last time.

Vi sat down on the worn-out couch, a defeated look on her face. “I swear I looked all over, as much as I could manage with the enforcers breathing down our necks, and it’s like she just… vanished. Gone.”

“We looked all over down here too… nothing,” Claggor replied.

Mylo looked down at the floor, fidgeting with his hands. A genuine frown showed on his face.

“But… what if she’s still out there somewhere?” Powder asked, still hopeful.

“I’m not saying she’s not out there, Powder, but wherever she is, I can’t get to it.” She ran a hand down her face, exhausted from her search efforts. “And I’ve had to be extra careful…”

They immediately froze when they heard Vander walking down the rickety steps. Right as he entered, they tried acting as normal and nonchalant as they could.

“Have any of you seen Arline? She’s not at the bar asking me to make her a cup of juice as she normally does,” he asked.

“Oh, um, she’s off… playing with some of the youngers,” Vi responded casually.

“Right, just wanted to ask.” He sighed. “I know she’s not always around here, but she’s still young. Just keep an eye on her.”

“Of course,” Vi replied.

“Will do!” Mylo chuckled nervously as Vander went back up. “This is not good.” He whispered.

Vi ran a hand through her pink hair. She clenched her jaw. “If I can’t find her soon, I don’t know what’ll do.”

“I know you’ll find her, Vi.” Her sister gave her a reassuring smile, touching her arm.

“Thank you, Powder,”

Viktor sat in front of Professor Heimerdinger’s desk, giving him a general update as he’d requested. He subtly fiddled with his tie, anxious about the next piece of news he had to say.

“Also, I feel the need to inform you that it has been a week since Arline, the girl, was found in the explosion. No one has claimed her so far…”

“A week? Hm, I wasn’t aware,” he replied.

“What should we do, Professor?”

“I suppose we’ll have to find someone to be her guardian until she can eventually go back home,” Heimerdinger suggested.

“And what if, worse case, she won’t ever be able to go home? If they really don’t come and claim her…?” Viktor asked.

“Then… I guess the guardianship would be permanent, or I believe adoption is a more appropriate term,”

“She doesn’t trust anyone. She clearly still needs a lot of help to process all that she’s been through.” Viktor pointed out.

“She appears to trust you,” Heimerdinger responded.

Did she really? Trust was a strong word, but it did seem like he was the only one she felt safe around. And she couldn’t be convinced to be watched by someone else. Trust or not, they definitely had a bond.

“Maybe… Professor, where are you going with this?” He raised an eyebrow.

Heimerdinger ignored his question, pondering to himself. “Yes, that could work…”

“What could work, sir?”

“You could be a mentor of sorts to Arline! Yes, I think that would work splendidly. You could raise and look after her, my dear boy!” He clasped his hands together.

“I’m sorry, could you repeat that? I fear I may have heard you wrong…” He blinked.

“Arline could be a sort of apprentice to you. I think that would work out nicely! What do you say, Viktor? I think you two would be an excellent team, so to speak.”

His first instinct was to say no. This was supposed to be just for a few days, not a lifetime.

But before he could give his answer, he took time to seriously think it over. It could be good to have someone to pass down knowledge to. And Arline was a good kid. She sort of reminded him of himself when he was around her age.

Sometimes it got a little lonely being by himself, he had to admit. At least Jayce was his new friend and partner, but maybe another addition to his circle of relationships would be good. This couldn’t be for his benefit though, he couldn’t be selfish. Viktor had to decide what was best for her.

She would probably have more opportunities if she stayed with him. He recognized that she’d have a better life in general if he accepted this.

And it wasn’t even a hundred percent. There was always a chance she’d be taken back by her family, even if it grew slim with time.

“Yes…” Viktor agreed, albeit reluctantly.

“Wonderful, I’ll tell her the news!”

“Wait, I think I should be the one to…” Viktor tried to interject, but Heimerdinger was already making his way out of the office, heading toward Arline’s direction.

She had been waiting outside for Viktor, originally scribbling on some paper with a pen Heimerdinger had given her. Though she’d lost interest and began to explore the halls. Viktor grabbed his cane and followed the Professor.

“Arline! I’ve got great news to share,” he said.

“What?” She shouted.

“Over here, dear girl!”

Arline looked around until she spotted him. She ran towards him and Viktor.

“You really ought to get her hearing checked.” He joked to Viktor.

When he wasn’t looking, Viktor rolled his eyes and shook his head.

“What did you say? Mister Heim… Heimer…” She stuttered.

“Hei-mer-ding-er,” He corrected.

“Oh, sorry, Mister Heimerdinger,”

“It’s quite alright, I have news I need to share,”

“Okay,” she said, picking up the paper and pen she’d left on the floor.

“It has been decided that since nobody has come to claim you, Viktor will look after you until further notice,” he announced.

Viktor glared at him for how bluntly he said it, but Heimerdinger didn’t seem to notice.

“What?” Arline’s voice wavered.

“He’ll be your mentor, of sorts. He has lots to teach. I think you’ll learn great things from his teachings,” he explained.

Her eyes began to water, and she felt her chest tighten. “Nobody came to… get me?”

“Well… um… yes?” Heimerdinger tilted his head.

The tears in Arline’s eyes threatened to spill. Her throat began to sting. She started crying and hiccuping, unable to hold it back any longer.

“Nice going Heimerdinger…”

“Look, Arline, it’ll be okay. Let’s just take a second to take a deep breath,” Viktor interjected.

She took off running the opposite way, sobbing the whole time.

“I… thought she would’ve taken that better… hmm.” Heimerdinger frowned. His reaction was more of a calculation gone wrong rather than genuine concern.

Viktor sighed and facepalmed. He liked the Professor, but despite his wisdom, he really couldn’t read the room sometimes.

“I’ll go after her,” he said.

“Oh, are you sure? She ran quite far away. That’s a lot of walking…”

“I’ve got it handled, Professor,” Viktor interrupted.

“Alright, I’m terribly sorry for causing this. I really didn’t mean to make her upset…” he spoke.

“You should tell her that, not me.”

“I will after things have settled down,”

Viktor left him standing there, going after Arline.

“Arline? Arline!” Viktor called out as he searched for her.

Deep down, he had this small fear that she had decided to run away. Surely she couldn’t have gone far. She had to still be in the Academy building. His fears went away as soon as he could hear her sniffles and sad whimpers.

“Arline?” he asked.

He found her curled up alone in a corner. She hugged her knees close to her chest and hid her face. Beside her on the ground was her paper and pen, now displaying a sad doodle of herself with big tears running down. He frowned, his heart aching for her.

Viktor tapped her on the shoulder, causing her to jump and scream.

“It’s okay! It’s me, Viktor, you’re safe.” He quickly tried to calm her down, kneeling to her level.

“Don’t sneak up on me!” She reacted out of anger.

It took him by surprise. This was the first time he’d seen her angry, though he didn’t blame her.

“But I didn’t sneak up on you. I was calling your name the whole time… nevermind, it doesn’t matter. We need to talk.”

“I thought Mister Heim—Heimerdinger did that already,” she muttered, looking away.

“Err, well technically yes, but I think I could explain it better if you’d let me,”

“Fine…”

“But could we talk somewhere else? I know you’re sitting on the floor right now, but I think I need an actual seat at the moment,” he added. “You ran very far.”

“Okay, sorry…” Arline mumbled.

“It’s okay,”

She stood up, wiping her eyes, following Viktor.

As soon as Viktor unlocked the door, Arline walked into the living room and hopped onto the couch. She sat patiently, waiting for Viktor. She watched as he took some sort of pill with a glass of water.

“Are you sick?” she asked.

“No, no, not sick. My chronic pain is flaring particularly strong today, so I’m taking medicine to help with the pain,” he explained.

“Ohh… what’s chronic?”

“It means something that happens forever.” Viktor sat down beside her on the couch. “So… we need to talk. I don’t believe that this will be an easy conversation to have, but it is necessary,” he started.

Arline looked at him and furrowed her eyebrows.

“Let’s start with the facts. You’ve stayed here for a week,”

“That’s a long time…” she remarked.

“I’d say it is in this situation,” he added. “The longer you stay, the less likely it means that you could potentially go home… Since it’s been a week, the window is starting to close.”

“What do you mean?” Arline asked.

“I’m saying that I’m trying to prepare you for the worst outcome. That you wouldn’t ever be… claimed. Add two more weeks and it would have been almost a month…” Viktor wasn’t sure he was doing any better than Heimerdinger, but he was at least trying.

“So… I might not see my family again? Or go home?”

“That is a possibility…” He winced.

Arline stayed silent. She kept her gaze trained on the floor.

“They forgot about me… right?”

“Oh, I don’t think forgot is the right word. Sometimes some... barriers make it difficult,” Viktor spoke.

“I’m really screwing this up, aren’t I.”

“They gave up looking?” she asked.

Viktor sighed, struggling to keep a more neutral expression. How was he possibly supposed to explain a concept that even adults have trouble accepting?

“I am not saying that.”

“Then what?” she questioned.

“I… don’t know…” he admitted, fidgeting with his hands.

“What?”

“I said, I don’t know. I’m sorry, but I don’t have an answer as much as I would like to.” Viktor frowned. “I’m so sorry Arline.”

Her eyes started to well with tears. “But you’re a scientist! You have all the answers!”

“Unfortunately, that’s not always the case,”

Arline sunk back into the couch cushions, wiping her eyes. “They left me and didn’t come back…”

Viktor’s chest ached. There was no simple solution for this.

“It’s possible that they assumed you were taken in and cared for… I don’t know how likely that is, but it’s definitely a possibility.” He placed his hand on her shoulder. “I don’t know if knowing that helps or not…”

She turned away from him, curling up more on the couch.

“I know this isn’t the outcome you wanted, but I’ll try to help you in any way that I can. You deserve that after everything that’s happened,” Viktor spoke. “I’ll tell you if there are any updates about your situation, as long as you’re here, okay?”

She turned her head and nodded.

“I know you probably know this, but it’s okay to be sad, dear.”

She nodded again, wiping her eyes.

“So… am I going to be adopted?” she finally asked.

“Well, Mr. Heimerdinger was the one that suggested it, but only if you’d be okay with it. He says that I should be a mentor to you. Look after you. Be your guardian,” Viktor answered.

“So, like it is now?”

“Yeah, I suppose so, but more permanent?” he added. “Don’t make an immediate decision on this though, it’s a big choice,”

Arline thought for a while. She didn’t really know anyone else, and there was no way she’d get placed with a random family she didn’t know. Viktor was the best choice. He was genuinely kind to her and didn’t talk down to her like Mr. Jayce and the enforcers did.

“Okay, I’ll wait.”

“Alright, for now, I’ll try to help you get settled in here more. I’m still sorry about the situation…”

“Not your fault. Don’t say sorry,” she replied.

“You’re very smart, but I’m sure you know that already,” Viktor complimented.

Arline allowed a small smile to appear on her face. She leaned against him. “Thanks, Mister Viktor.”

After a long day, it was nice to lie down and drift off to sleep for the night. Viktor pulled the bed covers closer, slowly falling asleep.

Until he heard quiet footsteps.

He covered his eyes with his hands until he heard her walking closer. Viktor turned on his side, facing an Arline-shaped silhouette in the dark.

“Mister Viktor, can I have a cup of water?” She stood by the side of his bed, staring at him to make sure he was awake.

“Shh, whisper, please, and didn’t I already get you a cup earlier?” he murmured.

“I drank it,”

“All of it?”

She nodded.

“And you’re still thirsty?” he questioned.

Arline glanced down at the carpeted floor. She moved her foot against it, feeling the cool and fluffy texture.

“Not really…” she admitted, voice now timid.

Viktor begrudgingly sat up. “What’s really the matter, hm?”

“I had a nightmare… and I’m not used to sleeping all alone…”

Was Viktor about to lose sleep? Probably. Did he already do that on a regular basis? Pretty much.

“Okay, sleep on the other side.” He pointed to the empty side of his bed.

Arline smiled and ran to the opposite side. She pulled up the sheets and settled in comfortably. “This is a very nice bed, Mister.”

“That was one of the nice surprises I had found out about when I moved here,” he replied. “Anyway, I know your feet are cold, so don’t touch me with them.” Viktor joked.

“How do you know if I got cold feet?”

“It’s a… hypothesis,”

“So, a guess?” she asked.

“Go to sleep, Arline,”

“I need to tell you something first…”

“Okay.” He sighed, struggling to stay awake.

“Do you think I couldn’t be claimed because… they died somehow?” She whispered.

Viktor turned to face her, all the sleepiness suddenly shocked out of him.

“Let’s hope not. Why this question before bed?”

“That’s what the nightmare was about…” Arline confessed.

He cautiously reached his hand out to hold hers. “I’m sorry,” he murmured.

She squeezed his hand for comfort.

“One last thing before sleeping. Promise it’s not sad, okay?”

“Okay,”

“I can’t hear in my left ear,” she said.

“At all?” he asked.

“Yeah,”

All the times she had asked him to repeat something, every time she had trouble finding him when he called her, the times she would focus her gaze on people’s lips; lip reading. It all suddenly clicked in Viktor’s mind.

“I can’t believe Heimerdinger’s joke was right…”

“So, do you not like me now?” she asked.

He stared at her in disbelief. “What? Why wouldn’t I like you?”

“People get annoyed with me about it, that’s why I waited to tell you,” she said.

“Arline, I’m sorry if I made you feel like you couldn’t tell me until now. That’s not right.” He sighed.

“It’s not, um… personal. I don’t tell anyone till I know they’re nice,” she replied.

“Doesn’t make it right still, you deserve better,”

“Thanks,” she said.

“I know that one day you won’t have to do that, have to hide a part of yourself, hoping it’ll be sooner than later,” Viktor responded.

“Thanks for the talking. I’m ready to go to sleep now.” Arline smiled.

“If you want, we can talk more about it tomorrow,”

“Okay! Cool..” She murmured before falling asleep.

Viktor chuckled shortly to himself at how fast she’d fallen asleep. He turned back over, trying to settle in and get sleep as well.

SO. Since we are getting into promo time for season 2 and I am kinda late to this party, handful of theories I am down for. I don't think any of these are orignal speculation, as I've seen them most of them several different places but. Yea, general thoughts on how I am feeling about S2...so when it airs I can come back and cringe at myself XD.

-No way Caitlyns mom survived unfortunately.

-Viktor and Mel probabbly lived, but in extremely rough shape. Enough to isolate Jayce and opening him up to being manipulated by Ambessa.

-Yea Ambessa is 100% gonna be the one pulling the strings through Jayce at least at the beginning.

-I don't know if I feel like Caitlyn is gonna get to become sherif by the end of this season like she is meant to end up becoming. If she does, it's gonna be at the end, imo. Though I imagine Vi will end up becoming an enforcer by the end.

-Sevika probably has taken most of the power and influence SIlco had for the time being. I imagine her thing is gonna be getting all them chem barons to work as a unit to actually stand a chance to fight Piltover whenever they attack. Because they will.

-Jinx most definitely is gonna keep confronting people. I mentioned before Ekko feels like the natural next name on her list. But I think Sevika will be seeing her face pritty soon as well. Singed may also be on there somewhere because of the shimmer infusion situation. Point being I don't think Jinx is going to be hiding out. Her twisted tea party seemed like the beginning.

-Ekko will be creating the the Z drive in the first few episodes, and probably finish it by the second or third. I have a whole think I want to post about my thoughts on just how much the firelights are gonna be joinning in the conflict. But that is an entire post on it's own.

-I want to think Hiemerdinger may risk going to see if he can't talk Jayce down at the point he sends everything at the undercity. Maybe. Or he is gonna throw everything into beefing up the undercity as much as possible.

WHEW okay. A lot lol. Again, these are just speculation I got so give me some grace XD. Put out mostly for enjoyment while everyone is waiting, and to laugh at myself later on.

With sunglasses and he wore his to match

Whenever he has eggs he stares down at the cracked yoke and remembers his lost child

In Caitlyn’s wonderful mind she thought the best case was to put it in the fridge

She woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs and bacon

Went downstairs and opened the fridge to find her egg missions

“Oh, what are you looking for, Caitlyn?”

Her father asked as he didn’t turn around from the stove

He did pretty good at that also

Made a small box with cushioning inside to help keep the egg safe

He did drop the box a good amount of times though

Would stand still and do a little pray before slowly picking it up

Was always relieved to see it was okay

Even if the egg did break he replaced it over and over again until it was time to turn in the egg

He’s smart so the teacher didn’t catch on

Ekko is still smug about it to this day

Powder

She really didn’t care about the assignment

She knew she was a mother now

Took it so serious

Put it to bed, talked to it, hugged it, took it everywhere

The whole works

She just drew on her egg most of the time

Her egg is so colorful and full of doodles it’s crazy

She kept it so safe though

Kept it on her belt pouch also to keep it with her all the time

Always tucked it into a small barbie bed next to hers

Was horrified when she woke up and got out of bed and stepped in something

It was her egg

It had fallen down

She cried so much

She then got the thought to go get another from the kitchen

Which she did and just drew on it again and tada!

She then got hungry and put it on her belt and got another egg

She cracked it open and was also horrified

She saw it was a fertilized egg they had missed

Stared at it on the pan before she yelled

“Vi! Want some eggs?!”

My ramblings and feelings! Enjoy.

Ok thoughts and feelings, I am not super feral for this show but I like it, and I am satisfied with the end. Though, I have one note (right at the end).

happy Ekko is alive and got his cool badass moment (TWICE! Both when all the firelights came to save the day + Sevilla and Zaun pals and he did his time stuff) though I wonder who exactly he wrote the note for- OH HEIMERDINGER? (I am bad at spelling) maybe maybe

Other dimension Zaun-is-a-nation Powder is epic and I am very happy the body switching shenanigans didn’t lead to her actual ekko being poofed out of existence. Also found it very funny that ekko is here like gathering shards of hex crystal from a crime seen he definitely broke into while Powder just straight up has them all in the Vi cabinet. Girl had an *insane* week that week (or month idk the timeline)

I like how Viktor slowly became more radicalised in his cult shit in every transformation. I do not like what Viktor helped do to dad. Leave dad alone.

The big fellow who manned the giant magic gun (I forget his name, but the nice enforcer guy) SHOULD HAVE WORN HIS HELMET. I am sad he is dead, but if he’s actively manning the giant weapon that is definitely a threat to the Noxian warriors, he is a very clear target. AND HE’S NOT WEARING A HELMET, THEY HAVE LITTLE SIDES THAT MIGHT PROTECT THE NECK AND EVERYTHING! Dumb ways to die.

Hell yeah sorceress Mel, I have no fucking clue what’s going on with her backstory things happened and I comprehend none of it

As for the bigger things that happened, the whole Jayce/Viktor in astral projection thing definitely reminded me that yeah… while a lot of the story is emotionally driven by the relationships between the undercity fam, Viktor and Jayce’s experimentation with hextech was core to the plot and they kind of are the most influential characters in the story. That scene just reminded me of that in a meta-sense.

I’m not a big shipping person, like, gay people on screen kissing is cool, straight people kissing on screen is cool (I am covering the screen, I don’t want to see anyone kissing, but the romance part is nice) I… don’t know what happened with them. Are they soulmates? Why is Viktor old and giving baby jayce a rock?? Did he use Ekko’s funky time machine??? Their relationship is… I don’t really care if they’re meant to be read as just really affectionate lab bros or a thing… I just- what the fuck was that ending in that regard? I guess we’re space people now. (I am not complaining, I am just confused)

Also speaking of viktor’s cult, when I saw the weird robot angel things I asked ‘why is the angel machine doing a backflip?’ They are very acrobatic.

anyways, onto Vi and Caitlyn. At least we are a little bit happy in the end. Not surprised they got back together, ‘s pretty neat though.

Jinx is very much alive to me. There are theories! There are mysterious blueprints! Blueprints with possible escape routes-

So is Isha. I have no proof of this of course, but for my sanity Isha defied the odds and definitely didn’t die from the crazy gun explosion thing.

Okay as for my only negative note on the whole story… why did Maddie betray Caitlyn? Genuinely? I could have totally missed some foreshadowing or whatever, but… she was an enforcer before Ambessa got really involved in everything right? So, it’s not like she was put in as a spy- There was that line about professional relationships but like… that was before Caitlyn went against Ambessa. Who was Maddie on the side of initially?

Did she join Ambessa because she was spiteful that Cait got back with Vi? (I would prefer that not be the reason since that just feels like a shallow reason for you to kill someone?? Maddie’s a background character but she deserves better than that as motive.) OR is she just super into the whole martial law thing? She aligned with Ambessa because her political ideals are more in line with how they lead their country. (I’d prefer this) Anyways, I will wait for the character analysis people to do there thing because like… unless there’s a whole heap of subtle clues foreshadowing Maddie’ betrayal… that feels like a plot hole, it just doesn’t make sense. She’s GOTTA have a reason.

besides that, tiny, tiny thing that’s been gnawing at my mind, this was pretty good. Thanks everyone who worked on the show, you won’t see this, but I am astral-projecting (Viktor style) praises to you.

Sorry for the late response! I've rewritten this a couple times because my opinions have changed several times, lol. Hopefully this makes sense.

Big things first: I've decided I like Jinx's ending. If she was really dead, you would see me on the news (because I will always hate the "redemption by death" trope), but she isn't! She survived and left Piltover to start a new life. I like that for her. I just hope that we see more of her adventures, and that she and Ekko will one day find each other again.

I didn't like the switch-up in regards to the main conflict. I vastly preferred the Piltover-Zaun conflict they were setting up in s1 to whatever we got in the end. I'm not surprised that a franchise like Riot Games doesn't want to fully tackle issues like classism and oppression, but I'm disappointed regardless.

Overall, not satisfied with the pacing. I feel like they introduced too many elements in this season to efficiently tie up in nine episodes, so some parts were seriously lacking. Arcane could have benefited from a third season -- that, or scrapping the whole android apocalypse and focusing on the original Piltover vs Zaun.

Now the smaller things: Ep7 was the best in my opinion, and canon Timebomb healed my heart. I shipped them since I saw s1 and thought I was delusional. Imagine my wicked glee when I saw them on the record as the episode began. It was at that moment that I knew we had won. I'm still kind of in shock; I was expecting Ekko and Jinx to perhaps stand in the same room at some point, possibly maintain eye contact, MAYBE have a conversation? Genuinely could not have anticipated all that, but could not be happier.

Caitvi... fell flat for me this season. They were okay in s1 (although I've never had strong feelings about them), but with how convoluted s2 got, their development suffered. Also, some of their scenes struck me as just plain distasteful. But I won't go into that.

The stuff Jayce and Viktor were up to was interesting, but I would have preferred if the plot centred more on Jinx and Vi. It seemed like the original sisters were sidelined in favour of them.

In summary: I can't say I'm a huge fan of the ending, or s2 overall. There were definitely good moments, and the whole thing was visually stunning, but my initial thought was that the plot got away from them in the end.

I'm just a casual fan though!! My opinions don't hold much weight. I should also probably give it a rewatch when it's not three in the morning and I can barely keep my eyes open.

My personal thoughts on Arcane s2 is that it isn't as bad as some people are saying, but it definitely isn't a masterpiece. I liked what they tried to do with all the characters this season, but the rushed writing made all of the storylines seem lazy and boring, especially in comparison to season 1. This season could have easily been two seasons, or at least it could have had a fourth act for all the storylines to have a satisfactory ending.

Vi and Caitlyn could have been a good ship if Caitlyn would have had a proper redemption arc, and if we had seen Cait apologize to Vi. The way they instantly trust each other after months of Cait's betrayal is kinda stupid. It doesn't make any sense on neither's part. We never see Cait having real doubts or fears about Ambessa, we never see them slowly building back the trust they had, etc. It's just lazy.

Vi becoming and enforcer alongside Cait could have been something interesting to see if it had more development. But I literally don't believe it for a second that Vi was willing to through toxic gas back into Zaun just because she witnessed 1 (one) terrorist attack. Like come on, Vi isn't that stupid.

Jinx's mental health problems literally disappear this season lmao. Her storyline with Isha could have been amazing if it was given more time! Jinx just killed her father and suddenly she's normal because she adopted a girl for two seconds. I know many people are sad about Isha but we literally know her for five seconds, I personally couldn't feel so bad for her because she's just reduced to cute girl that helps to move Jinx's narrative foward. If we would have learned about Isha's story, and we could have seen Jinx slowly learning how to take care of someone.

My boy Ekko was massacred. He deserved sooo much better this season. And I genuinely liked the alternative universe with Powder, I though all of that was great, but I hate how his character was reduced to that. Ekko should have gone back at the same time as Jayce, he should have reacted to what Viktor did to Zaun, he should have reconnected with Vi which is basically his only family left. Vi and Ekko should have gotten an ending together where they rebuild what's left of Zaum, because they've always been the ones to take care of their people. It just feels like both of them were sidelined into their relationships and their bond was completely lost and forgotten.

Mel discovering she is a mage could have been a good storyline if she had had the time to properly explore it. How it's interwined with her identity. She also goes from "I didn't know how to control my powers" to literally controlling them perfectly in the span of like, a day. It could have been cool for her to be able to slowly learn how it works and finding a purpose in it, because it feels like she didn't even want it in the first place which is just sad... Everything about her character is so sad. It was a missed opportunity for her to find a place outside of politics where she could have been happy but it wasn't.

The Piltover/Zaun problem was soooo stupid. The whole "let's unite because now we have a common enemy" felt so rushed and again, it could have been something interesting if at any point Piltover recognized the oppression and inequality they've caused instead of Zaunites simply saying well okay... let's go fight with them I guess we have no choice.

Sevika had so much missed potential, especially when it comes to the Piltover/Zaun conflict. In the end we see her becoming a politician, but this is something Sevika never would have wanted in the first season. And her learning to trust Piltover and going a more pacifist route after everything she's seen could have been a good arc for her but it's just no there. Of course for this to happen Piltover should have also shown remorsement about whay they've done but they also don't so I don't know, it just felt stupid.

Viktor and Jayce are, in my opinion, the only ones who had a storyline which didn't feel compeltely rushed. There are some parts that could have been better though. Viktor's descent into madness could have been a bit slower for me, as well as the cult's creation but oh well

Even the secondary characters could have been treated better. Vander/Warwick only serves as a prop to bring Jix and Vi together, there's no exploration of his suffering which is so sad. Singed and Orianna's storyline..... God I wished we could have seen more of them. Half of this mess is bebcause Singed was obsessed to bring his daughter back to life which could have been soooo cool to explore further!!!

There are some more things but I guess I've said enough. I personally believe this season had the basis for a good story and I see so much potential in it. I don't think it's a piece of garbage like some people are saying but if only all of they had taken more time to treat all of the characters with the respect they deserved, it could have been perfect.
