Rude
Warnings: none (I think), let me know if I missed any :)
Parings: Avengers x reader platonic
Request: Hiii!! Hope you're doing okay. I have kinda a weird request. Basically, whenever someone asks me a question and I answer or actually whenever I just talk to someone, it sounds like i'm annoyed at them for talking to me, when I'm not. It's super hard because everyone then thinks I'm rude. Could you write something where the reader is kind of like that with the Avengers, maybe some misunderstanding on their part and then comfort? Thank you.
Request by: Anon
*not my gif*
Summary: You forgot to mention one little things to the avengers when you joined
A/N: I enjoyed writing this- even if it is short
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
“So, n/n, how do you feel about takeout tonight?” Nat asked casually, not even looking up from the menu she had splayed across the counter.
All of the avengers were spread out across the conjoined living room and kitchen, enjoying a rare and peaceful Saturday together.
“Fine.” Was your only answer, you didn’t look up from what you were doing either, continuing to stare down at the book in your hand.
Nat’s eyebrows shot up and she lifted her head at your snippy tone, your teammates all around doing the same- looks of shock rendering on their faces.
You were fairly new to the team still, but you almost always seemed to be in a good mood, hardly ever put off by anything. And when you were, you expressed it to your fellow avengers so they knew why you were in a bad mood when it wasn’t directed at them.
Tony turned from beside you with a singular raised eyebrow, “You alright, over there?”
“Yes.” Your tone was once again short and sounded irritated, but you were still yet to look up.
Everyone shared glances from all over the room, moments ago you were in a pleasant mood, happily telling all of them about how excited you were to finally get started on this book. And now, it sounded as though you were irritated with the team.
“Are you feeling okay?” Steve asked in concern from his seat at the kitchen table.
That finally made you look up and you blinked once in surprise when you saw everyone staring at you, “I’m fine.” You told them truthfully, tone a lot lighter now.
“Are you sure?” Clint asked, raising an eyebrow, “You sounded… annoyed.”
Realization dawned on you at once and your face dropped, “Oh, I didn’t mean to.”
“You’re okay, though?” Nat had to double check.
You nodded, seemingly embarrassed, “I’m sorry if I sounded annoyed, that’s just what happens. Whenever someone asks me a question I always sound annoyed, even when I’m not. I don’t mean to do it and I don’t know how to stop it.” You explained honestly.
“That makes sense,” Steve reassured you.
You perked up, “Really?”
“Of course,” Bruce nodded, speaking up for the first time, “It’s completely logical and we now know that you can’t help it.”
Nat shot you a smile, “Just be sure to tell us when you’re actually mad at us.”
You laughed, “Will do.”

COMFORTING THEM AT THEIR WORST (or some sh*t I thought of at 3am) II
Feat. Mitsuki Kiryu, Taiga Tsugeura and Kyotaro Sugishita
Mitsuki Kiryu
Mitsuki loves to chat with you, everytime he gets to conversate with you it makes him happy. You, at the beginning, were insecure as if it was ok to date him or not, he was popular with girls (notsureifboystoohhhh-) and let's just say: You thought you were not his "level" enough to be with him, but whenever you come with this doubt, he always reassures you that he loves you, no matter how you are. And now, thanks to that love, you get the courage to work more on yourself and be better each day.
But what could happen if that pink haired boy you love so much, suddenly were quieter than usual? He would stop playing games for a while and generally, just shut himself out from others, this began to concern you, especially when people like Nirei or Suo asked you if he was doing fine. So you decided to organize a little date in Mitsuki's room, a day just for you and him. After a while, you decided to break silence and ask him what was wrong.
"Heh...it's nothing really, just a bit down lately...don't you worry! I'll be okay"
He said as a hope to calm you down but you both know it didn't work
"Mitsuki, remember that everytime I am down, you always comfort me and remind me how much you love me? I want to do the same for you, so..." you cuddled up to him "just tell me what's wrong, I promise to hear every word of yours."
Mitsuki Kiryu just chuckled, defeated at your attempts of comforting him, he decided to do something he usually doesn't do: let his guard down.
"Only if we cuddle more and give me lots of kisses~♡" And there he goes, trying to lighten up the mood, but honestly, can you blame him for being this adorable?
Taiga Tsugeura
As someone who rarely gives himself introspection, you expect him to get in trouble more often due to his excentric nature and you might be the one to help him get out of those troubles. But you were used to it, you knew it the moment you decided to date him. If we look at the positive side, things and activities in general were so much fun! It's like Taiga had this ability to make the most mundane dates to the most unforgettable, there was no time to concern about life when you had him around. You knew he is someone who appears to be strong minded, someone who doesn't let himself be defeated over small things, the type to just keep striking forward no matter what life throws at him, and you loved him for what.
Though, like any human being, he had his lows. Taiga Tsugeura might be someone who knows how to hide his insecurities very well (or at least he tries to). As unpredictable as he is, one day, out of the blue, he said:
"...do people actually hate me?"
The question that made everything you were doing stop. At first you were confused, as to why he suddenly said that, the situation was serious.
"Tsuge? Why do you suddenly ask that? Did something happen?" Your attention is now on him, trying to be his comfort in his torment.
"N-No! It's just-...uuhh" and now he is out of words.
The silence between you two became unavoidable, but you knew you couldn't let this pass. You get closer to him and grab his face to make him look at you "Babe, look at me." Taiga blushed at this as you tilted your head
"Why do you say people hate you? I don't, there is a reason why I'm with you and it's because I love you!"
You add
"You also have friends, that accept you for who you are, virtues and flaws, everything and that is because we GENUINELY care for you" you decide to hug him "so please don't say that anymore..."
He hugs you back as he feels now relieved, like a stone just lifted from his soul "Thanks..."
Kyotaro Sugishita
You never knew what was on his mind, or so did he allow. As quiet as he is, you knew he loved you. But there were times in which you overthink to yourself, what if he is going through a hard time and you never know? What if he is dying inside and no one could know? The sole thought of those possibilities crushed your soul. Sugishita's mind has so much to hide, from his selective nature to his aloofness, he never really cares about what's going on around him unless the situation gets really personal. Those situations being anything involving Umemiya-san and you.
You, naturally being more expressive than him, try your best to let him know he is loved if not by everyone then by you.
"You are so cute you know that?" You said to him, beaming with happiness in which Kyotaro could only look down with a shy expression.
But the feared day would arrive, as you noticed him WAY more distant than usual. This began to concern you, so you decided to not waste more time and confront him directly.
"Kyo, I'll say it here and now, I know you are going through something awful right now and I know you don't want to concern me but it CONCERNS me that you don't let me know whenever you have trouble with something, I wish you trusted me more, more enough to tell me when you're feeling bad, I love you and I'll do anything to make you feel better but only if you also do your part." <<You let that out in one breathe.
Kyotaro Sugishita just blankly stared at you, with no answer, he thinks to himself if he should actually tell you, his final decision? No.
At least not yet, you see, he does trust you but like you just right now said, he doesn't want to concern you, he DESPISES seeing you sad, so he is able to take all the world suffering if he wanted to, just to see your happy face.
He now goes to you and gets close to your face, you lock eyes, he searches for honesty in your eyes and he found but his insecurity got the best of him and left. You thought one day, he would feel safe enough to tell you whenever he had a hard time...

Galileo Galilei Main Story
Translations may not always capture the exact nuances or tone of the original text. Expect grammatical errors and inaccuracies.
After arriving in the city in the afternoon, I let out a deep sigh.
(Even this morning, I didn't feel like I was alive.)
Just like the other day, I had another dream where someone took my life.
(Last time it was a hunter, but this time I was killed by a pureblooded vampire.)
(I guess I was really a dhampir in my dreams.)
Although the people and scenes in the two dreams were different, they had one thing in common.
(In the dream, I was despised by both humans and vampires just because I'm a dhampir.)
Even though they were dreams, fear and sadness lingered strongly in my heart, and I let out another sigh, as I had done many times before.
Then...
Vlad: "What's with the sigh, Mitsuki?"
Mitsuki: "Vlad!"
The one who greeted me was Vlad in his apron.
There was a wagon nearby loaded with flowers, and it seemed like he was doing his usual work as a florist.
Mitsuki: "Thanks for your hard work. I actually made some baked sweets. Would you like to have them with Faust and Charles?"
Vlad: "Wow, it smells nice. Thanks, I'd love to."
Vlad: "But are you okay?"
Mitsuki: "Huh?"
After handing him the sweets, Vlad looked at me and gently touched the area around my eyes with his long fingers.
Vlad: "You have dark circles. Are you not sleeping well?"
Mitsuki: "I had a nightmare. I was feeling down, so I made those sweets as a distraction."
Vlad: "I see. Just wait a moment."
With that, Vlad pulled out a bundle of purple flowers from the wagon and offered them to me.
Vlad: "They're lavender. If you put them by your pillow when you sleep, it should help you relax."
Mitsuki: "Wow, thank you. Can I really have them?"
Vlad: "Yes. I wish I could save you from the nightmares, but for now, all I can do is wish you a good night's sleep."
After parting ways with Vlad, I leaned in to smell the lavender I received.
(It smells nice. It might indeed help me sleep well.)
Feeling grateful for Vlad's thoughtfulness, I walked down the street with warm feelings.
Passerby: "Hey! Watch where you're going, kid. Don't wander around like that."
???: "S-Sorry."
I heard a guy's booming voice and a kid's gentle voice in the distance.
When I looked over, I saw a boy with golden curls and dirty clothes bowing to a passerby.
(That kid seems unsteady on his feet. I hope he's okay.)
As I watched, the boy bumped into someone again and fell afterward. Concerned, I hurried over to him.
Mitsuki: "Are you hurt?"
Curly-haired boy: "Ugh…"
The boy lifted his face, and I noticed his eyes were as clear and blue as the earth.
Curly-haired boy: "I'm thirsty."
Mitsuki: "Wait here. I'll go get you some water!"
I was about to stand up when he suddenly grabbed my skirt to stop me.
Curly-haired boy: "It's fine! I'm okay."
Mitsuki: "But you look like you're in so much pain."
Curly-haired boy: "Don't worry about me. My little sister is waiting, so I have to go."
Mitsuki: "Hey, wait!"
The boy disappeared into an alley without even turning back at the sound of my call.
As I walked along the banks of the Seine River, I couldn't stop thinking about the boy I had just encountered.
(Was I being too nosy?)
(But his clothes and shoes were so worn out.)
Even in seemingly glamorous Paris, many people were struggling with poverty and orphans.
That was the reality I learned upon arriving in the 19th century.
I was still lost in thought when I suddenly heard someone calling out.
???: "Hey, Miss."
Mitsuki: "Huh?"
???: "Would you like to go on a boat tour around Paris?"
I turned around and saw a man with a half-up hairstyle and a hat, smiling.
Drake: "For a lady like you, I'd offer some special services."
(Oh, is he a tout?)
Mitsuki: "Sorry, but I'm not really in the mood for that right now."
Drake: "Ah, I see. You do look a bit down."
The man leaned in slightly and peered into my face.
Feeling unexpectedly close, I tensed up, but the man just smiled again.
Drake: "In that case, all the more reason to hop on my boat for a change of pace."
Drake: "By the way, I'm also feeling really down today since there were no customers."
Drake: "If things stay like this, I'm afraid my boss will give me an earful later."
Mitsuki: "Hehe."
Drake: "Oh? You look even cuter when you smile. So, how about we both forget our worries and have a blast?"
(He's quite the smooth talker.)
(I feel like I'm being taken for a ride, but it sure would be a nice change of pace.)
Mitsuki: "Then, just for a while."
I couldn't help but smile along with him as I boarded the boat, following his invitation.
Mitsuki: "Wow!"
Drake: "Right?"
The boat cruised effortlessly on the Seine River, and the shimmering water under the sun, along with the breeze blowing through, felt nice.
Drake: "Feeling better now, miss?"
Mitsuki: "Yes, much better than earlier."
Drake: "Huh, so a boat ride isn't the perfect cure-all, huh?"
Mitsuki: "Oh, no! It's just a matter of my own feelings."
(Maybe it's because I had a scary dream or met that boy.)
The frustration of being in such an uncontrollable situation still lingered in my heart.
(I've been living a comfortable life back in my world and being treated well in the mansion since I came to the 19th century.)
(But that's just my luck, and it doesn't apply to everyone in this era.)
(Is there anything I can do to help?)
Lost in thought, I brushed back my hair, swaying in the wind, and my fingertips suddenly touched the scar on my forehead.
It was the scar from when someone saved my life when I was a child.
(At that time, I wanted to be someone who could also help others.)
I remember the memories I told everyone at the mansion just a few days ago and the feelings I had at that time burning deep in my heart.
(I know poking my nose at other people's business is bad, but if I meet that boy again, I'll try talking to him.)
(I have to take a step forward, starting with that.)
As my mood began to brighten, the scenery appeared even more radiant.
Then, out of nowhere, the guy suddenly handed me a bottle.
Mitsuki: "Mr. Sailor, what's this?"
Drake: "It's Drake."
Mitsuki: "Huh?"
Drake: "My name's Francis Drake, but just call me Drake, miss."
Mitsuki: "Okay, Drake. What's in this bottle?"
Drake: "A drink to lift your spirits."
Mitsuki: "What!? Drinking during the day is a bit much!"
Drake: "Haha, just kidding. Don't worry, it's just grape juice."
Drake: "Consider it a treat. Well, mine's wine, though."
He raised another bottle and grinned mischievously.
Mitsuki: "Drake, aren't you working right now?"
Drake: "Oops, so strict."
Drake: "Don't worry, I can hold my liquor. I'll make sure to get us back to shore safe and sound."
(That's not really the issue here.)
Drake: "Come on, cheers!"
He handed me the grape juice and took a sip from his wine bottle.
(He's so carefree and likable.)
(But is it okay to drink something given by someone I just met?)
The bottle smelled distinctly of grapes, with no hint of alcohol.
Drake: "Are you being cautious? There's nothing weird in it. I could take a sip to show you if you'd like."
Mitsuki: "Um, no, it's okay. I'll give it a try."
(He doesn't seem like a bad person, so it should be fine.)
Feeling guilty for my hesitation, I also took a sip from the bottle.
Mitsuki: "Mmm, delicious!"
The sweet and rich taste passed through my throat, and the lush aroma filled my nostrils.
Drake: "Glad you like it. By the way, what's your name?"
Mitsuki: "I'm Mitsuki."
Drake: "Alright then, Mitsuki. Captain Drake is here to guide you through Paris."
Drake: "Over there is the Louvre Museum or something like that. It's apparently full of amazing treasures."
Mitsuki: "Hehe. You don't sound like a tour guide."
I chuckled at his tour-guiding skills.
But as I listened to his lively stories…
(Huh?)
I was suddenly overwhelmed by drowsiness.
Drake: "Mitsuki, what's wrong?"
Mitsuki: "I'm sorry, I suddenly feel sleepy. I think it's because I haven't slept much lately."
(Oh no, this isn't good. I'm getting sleepy.)
I tried to fight the drowsiness, but my eyelids stuck together like magnets, and eventually, I fell asleep.
???: "Who asked you to bring her here?"
(Huh? Who?)
A low, quiet voice reached my ears as my consciousness drifted.
???: "Don't make that face. I did it for your own good, you know?"
???: "Being patient doesn't suit you. It might be more interesting if you move quickly."
This time, I heard another, more cheerful voice.
Both voices sounded familiar, but they were different from the voices of anyone I knew from the mansion.
Mitsuki: "Mnn…"
I slowly opened my eyes and saw several books and a dome ceiling.
Feeling a bit disoriented by the unfamiliar sight, I...
Mitsuki: "Where am I!?"
I sat up abruptly from the sofa I was sleeping on, realizing I was in an unfamiliar place.
Drake: "Oh, you're awake, little fawn."
I turned my head and saw Drake, who had been with me on the boat, smiling.
But what surprised me even more was the unexpected presence of another person beside him.
Mitsuki: "Drake, and Professor Maury?"
(Why are they together?)

Mitsuki: Lololol
Tamaki: Ah, but Iorin’s buying stuff from his family’s own bakery, I don’t think this counts as thanks then lol
Mitsuki: That's not true! My parents said that they feel happy watching the both of you and Isumi come to the bakery after school and enjoy their food 😋
Mitsuki: I’m sure I’d be super duper happy if I got to see you guys like that as well! I’ll be waiting for the thank you gift ✌️✨
Tamaki: Alright!
Tamaki: I’ll start giving it my all tomorrow just for this
Tamaki:
Mitsuki: That’s the spirit! Don’t push yourself too hard though
Mitsuki:

Sympathy Kiss Review
I’m finally playing Sympathy Kiss, I bought it about a week after it came out but didn’t end up playing it right away. But I’m excited to get started, from what I know it’s an office romance and more slice of life. Which honestly I’m stoked for, I’ve really been in a slice of life mood lately, so I’m excited for a more grounded game (hopefully). Not to mention I just started my corporate job, so I can fully immerse myself in the game. When she describes her daily routine, that’s me right now, only enough time to really work and the bare minimum of life (eating, chores, hygiene, and sleeping).
My initial thoughts after playing the prologue, is that it was much shorter than many of the others I’ve done. Cafe Enchante, and Bustafellows had VERY long common routes. So this shorter one was a welcome change of pace. I like the art style and how there’s animated bits, plus I love the looking over the shoulder sprites, it feels very dynamic. One thing I’m not sure how to feel about, is that MC doesn’t actually have dialogue. So it feels like this game is heavily catering towards people that self-insert (which I do), since you can change her first and last name, she doesn’t have a sprite, and even to the extent she doesn’t have real dialogue. Which I’m not sure how to feel about, especially after playing so many games with MCs that have very defined personalities. Maybe it’ll be different once in a route, and maybe I’ll like it after a bit, but it’s definitely throwing me off that I don’t actually know word-for-word what she’s saying.
Just off of the intro I think I’m most drawn to Mistuki, Kohei, Nori, and Rokuro. Mistuki reminds me of Mineo from CxM, just very outgoing and bubbly, low-key puppy vibes. Kohei has probably my favorite out of looks, although I think Nori is a close second. Rokuro I’m mainly interested in because he reminds me of a cowboy lmao, he wears a bolo tie and rides horses, I know the girls say “prince type” but to me (as a Texan) it screams cowboy and that intrigues me. Overall pretty excited to play, although I’m still not 100% sure on what to except lol.
Mitsuki Saotome
Up first is Mitsuki for two reasons, first being as I previously mentioned he’s caught my attention, second he was the first guy I met in game. Like I said, he gives me similar vibes to Mineo, so I think I’ll enjoy his route. He just seems so upbeat, a little eccentric, and kind of puppy-like. I also tend to like LIs who are close in age to MC/me, and he’s about my age and only a year older than MC. The prologue being short means I don’t have much else to say, but I think it’ll be fun.
Honestly after playing I really don’t know how to feel. I think the game is pretty easy to play, and it’s pretty short (probably the same length as a Voltage game). But I just kinda felt like something was lacking, I’m not sure if it just because I ended up not liking Mitsuki that much or what. I thought I’d really like him, but he was just okay. I didn’t really have any moments where I was giddy or felt anything really. I think the MC having no dialogue is making it really hard for me to get invested. I also feel like the writing just isn’t the best, like some scenes it’s really good, but others I just feel like I couldn’t get into it. But maybe it really is just that Mitsuki wasn’t the best fit for me. I really want to like this game, so I hope I like the next route, but this one just didn’t do it for me.
Yoji Kobase
I’ve decided to do Kobase next mainly because I’m kinda of unsure how I’ll feel about him. I kind of think his route will be fun, although I’m not sure if he’s my usual type. I think from what I’ve seen of him he seems to at least be a considerate and kind person so hopefully his route will be a nice change of pace from the first one I played. Also I know all the guys in this game are shiny and have extra-shiny lips, but his in particular keep catching my eye 😅 so idk what that says about my subconscious, but he’s got very glossy lips I can’t look away from lol.
Okay, so thankfully I actually really enjoyed this route! I think it was super interesting and much more fun to play than Mitsuki’s route. Yoji is your classic serious guy, with a heart of gold. He’s just a very sweet and considerate person, very reliable and loyal. This route also had a semi forced proximity trope which is nice. I also enjoyed the plot of this route a lot more. Overall it was very good, and gives me hope to play the rest of the game.
Kohei Minato
Next on the list is Kohei. I really like him looks wise, and from the prologue he seems to be a kind person. He’s definitely more reserved and quiet, but I think he’s one of those characters that just takes time to open up to others. He’s probably the kind of tsundere I like, kind of like Ryuki from Cupid Parasite, where he’s not excessively mean he’s just passionate and reserved. So I’m looking forward to his route, hopefully they do him justice and it’s not boring like Mitsuki’s was.
Kohei, my beloved 🥹💕. This route was so up my alley, oml. I think I really related to Kohei’s character in a lot of ways, like the way he loves and wants to support his family. Not to mention I also have a very large age gap with my two youngest siblings so I could relate to his relationship with his. I think my initial thoughts were kind of correct, but he also really reminded me of parts of 707’s route, where it’s very self-deprecating and he tries pushing her away. I feel like him and 707 share a lot of character traits in that aspect and how they care and protect their families. But honestly this route had a lot of stuff I’m a sucker for. Not to expose myself too much, although I’ve mentioned these in past reviews, but I love that he’s a little possessive, I love the teasing, it had a scene where he licked her wound, plus he’s into biting, I mean really say less, matches my freak ngl. I also enjoyed the plot for this one, and I liked getting to see his family and their dynamics. I think the ending was also good, I’m glad they didn’t totally force him to forgive his dad, because I know in other games I’ve played that’s been a problem, but I know it’s partially a cultural thing. But overall I really loved this route, and Kohei is definitely my favorite by far right now!
Shuya Usui
To be completely honest, I think is the route I’m looking forward to least out of all the main route. I just really don’t like the older characters or ones with large age gaps, typically. Which is twofold, one I’m in my 20s and I’ve never really been super into older guys, secondly I feel like most “older guy” routes make it really weird. Like instead of making the age gap feeling like it’s not a big deal, it’s usually all both people think about which weirds me out. There was also a whole scene in Kohei’s route where Usui talks about how young Kohei seems to him, and Kohei is two years older than, MC so I just do not like it. Plus looks wise he’s not my favorite. I really worry this is just going to be like a non-supernatural version of Rindo’s route 😣.
Okay, as I suspected, this was not the route for me. I’m so sorry, but I’m not a DILF girlie. Sure, there are attractive older guys, but I’ve never been romantically drawn to older guys 😅. Not to mention Usui is 45 years old. 45. The MC is 23. Yes, they are both consenting adults, but I’m 23 and my mom is 45. That’s literally all I could think, he could actually be her dad. To make it worse the age gap was THE MAIN CONFLICT. Like their age gap was the focus of the game. Like I already don’t like large age gaps, but I especially don’t like when the older person constantly talks about how young and naive the younger one is, and how inappropriate it is. Because if you think she’s not mature, or is too young for you, THEN DONT DATE HER, LIKE WHAT?!?! I just hated this one, it was not for me. I really like him as a mentor supporting character, but as a LI I cannot get behind this relationship. I will say I did kind of like the ending, but I was definitely speed reading it at that point because I just wanted to be done 😭. So sorry, if you love Usui, or want a DILF, go for it, but I just can’t, so sorry.
Nori Tainaka
So I took about a week off playing this game so that I could crochet my (irl) husband a birthday gift. Plus, after that last route I just needed a little break lol. But I’m back and excited to play!
Up next is Nori! I’m very excited for Nori’s route, he’s so cute. I love his hair, beauty mark, piercings, and his tattoo. He seems really sweet, plus I personally love the house husband trope. I think if I played this game blind, I probably would have gotten him first, solely because I’d feel bad leaving him alone 😅. But I think his route will be very interesting and I’m very excited to learn more about his past.
Oml 😭 I love him💕. Genuinely he is so cute and so sweet. I absolutely adore him so much. Like he’s such a puppy, it kind of reminds me of my husband is some ways. I think this route was one where I love him, but MC made me sooo mad at times. Like she should treat him better lol. Like he can do no wrong. Nori is perfect. The world has wronged him, but he’s an angel who deserves better. I don’t think the plot for his route was as strong, but my love and adoration for him kept me going 💕💕💕💕. Genuinely not sure if I love Nori or Kohei more, they are both tied in my heart rn.
Rokuro Yoshioka
I’ve said it before and it’ll say it again, they may call him a prince, but to me he’s more like a cowboy. He wears a bolo tie and rides horses, that’s some western country boy energy lol. I think his route will be fun, I hope there’s the trope where everyone sees him as a prince, but in reality he’s the opposite (but hopefully not mean since I don’t usually like that). I also hope the horse and horse riding plays a role in the story. I think this one has a lot of great potential!
Shut up 😭 why was this route so cute. This literally had me kicking my feet and squealing. I’m so sorry to my other boys, but I think Rokuro just shot up to my favorite so far. He’s just such a sweeting and such a genuine and kind person. He also gets blushy so easily, and him and MC have such a sweet and wholesome relationship. He’s also maybe the first guy that actually respected her wishes and boundaries. Oml I literally love him so much 🥹💕. His route has some tropes I didn’t love, but I think it did it in a way that it was still fun to play. Honestly some of his route reminds me a lot of Ray from Empherial, although he’s a lot nicer than Ray lol. But yeah, I adored this route! Super cute!
***SPOILERS AHEAD - SECRET ROUTES***
Oops, I stopped playing for like a month 😅 I had full intentions of playing it sooner, but I started streaming again, had my birthday, and overall life got crazy. Plus Otome games are just one of my hobby and I was reading and crocheting more lately, so it kind of fell to the way side. But now I’m going to finish it! Secret Routes here we go!
I already know who the two guys are going to be. It’s pretty obvious from the prologue and other routes. One will be YOFY the program guy who is most likely also Rokuro’s younger brother. And the other, will be Higa, Rokuro’s co-worker. With that said, let’s play secret route 1!
Secret Route 1 (YOFY/Soh Yoshioka)
I was pretty excited going into this route, since I liked his brother’s route a lot. Plus mysterious programmers are always fun. But I’m definitely glad I had a break between him in his brother, because otherwise I’d feel a little weird about going from one to the next so soon lol.
Not going to lie, I have no idea how to feel about this route. I really liked YOFY as a character, he’s very cute and I don’t mind the “younger guy”/ “little brother” love interests. I think the story was engaging and fast paced (as well as actually being shorter). But *spoiler alert*, he’s kind of a yandere. Which don’t get me wrong, I LOVE yanderes. I think they are super fun, and I love exploring the unhealthy obsession and possessiveness of yanderes in a fictional setting. But I think it just feels so jarring because his route is shorter, and it all happens in the last chapter, so there’s not enough time to really resolve things naturally. Plus with this game being more slice of life, it feels kind of out of place. I think honestly, I would have enjoyed it more if his route was longer and they made him a main route, not bonus route. Also I think seeing the younger guy/cutesy guy he a yandere is a more interesting approach, I personally haven’t seen done very often (other than Yandere Yoosung). I think I did enjoy the route, but I just wish it was longer so it could have been even better. As a character I really love YOFY.
Secret Route 2 (Tsukihiko Higa)
To be honest, going in I wasn’t sure what I’d think. Higa seemed pretty nice the few times we see him. And he kind of looks like an older version of Makoto from Free. Going into now, I’m quite excited as it seems he has a kid, which is totally new to me. Not only that, but I’m definitely a pretty maternal person, I love kids, and want to be a mom, so getting a route like this is very exciting. I can’t wait to see where it goes!
Well, I won’t lie, I didn’t really like this route. I really wanted to like it, but something about it just didn’t work for me. Not sure if it’s just because I was tired, or what, but it just wasn’t that good. I feel like the story was too all over the place and the ending really dragged. It kind of feels like a waste, since the single parent idea has so much potential. But it felt like they rushed and slacked on the romance part, just to shove in a story B plot that wasn’t even that good. Definitely disappointed.
Overall Thoughts
I think this game is a real mixed bag. I still don’t think I like that MC has no dialogue, it’s really weird and can make parts of the story confusing. You do adjust to it, but I really feel like it takes away from the story.
I think a lot of the routes were fun to play, and had a fun plot. But honestly not sure if I’d recommend the game, I’d say this is one that’s better to get on sale if you can. The music is okay, and the visuals are great, voice acting was pretty amazing, but the stories weren’t great. A lot of the plots struggled in some aspect which sucks.
I think if you like slice of life games, and you’ve played a lot of mobile and self insert games, you’ll probably like Symapthy Kiss. But if not, this would probably be a skip.
Overall if I had to rank the guys I think I’d go Rokuro as my favorite for both plot and character, followed by Kohei (plot and character are great), Nori (love Nori, the plot is just okay), then Yoji (really fun plot, and good character). The rest I could honestly do with out. The two other main guys just were not fun at all to play, and the two secret routes both struggled with pacing but for opposite reasons. I think the game might have been better if they just stick with my top 4 guys, and gave them a more detailed story.
I think I did enjoy the game, and might even replay some routes again, but it’s not in my top games. I’m pretty disappointed given how much I’ve been wanting a good slice of life game, and I feel like this just kind of missed the mark. I almost feel like I would’ve been better off getting the Oops! I Said Yes?! on the switch 😅. But no hate, I think this fans has some good points.
I hope you enjoyed this review, so sorry it took me so long. Now that I’m working full time, it’s definitely hard to find the time to juggle all my hobbies, and binge games 😅. I think I’ll probably be play a bunch of Voltage games and Love and Deepspace for a bit since they are easier to fit in my schedule. So I may do some occasional posts about them. I also finally got Amnesia, so I may do a less detailed post on that. Not sure yet when my next big post will be, but it will most likely be on Olympia Soirée. Until then bye!

It Took A Village - Dark Trial I
It should have been a good day. It was supposed to be a good day.
And yet it was not to be.
It would all begin with the pair of mothers that were Inko Midoriya and Mitsuki Bakugou, on their way to visit the esteemed place of heroic academia known as UA. And the reason for this visit? To see a certain little unicorn of course.
The two women had their minds occupied with typical nana and auntly things, namely fussing over Inko's adoptive granddaughter who lived on the UA campus. Said fussing would be soon be the furthest thing from their minds.
Everything seemed fine when they first arrived, the students scattered around the dorm without a care and engaged with their own leisure time. Inko's son Izuku greeted his mother and honorary aunt cordially, just as could be expected of such a well behaved boy, but things would quickly turn away from uplifting and cheerful when Izuku called for young Eri, the unicorn of the dorm.
Normally a visit from her adoptive grandmother and aunt would elicit smiles and joyfulness from the young girl but it was clear at a look that she was feeling anything but that. She slowly walked up, no smiles to be found. Instead a sad frown adorned her face and her eyes looked filled with sorrow. It just wasn't right for her to look so sad.
"Hello Nana." Eri barely spoke above a whisper, further growing the seeds of concern in Inko's mind. "Hello Eri. It's nice to see you again." Eri said nothing, just giving a slow nod and kept looking forward like she wasn't really there in the first place.
Izuku spoke up, breaking up the increasing tension just a bit. "Eri why don't you give your Nana a hug?" A soft "okay" was all the response that was given before the young girl gave her grandmother a hug. It wasn't like her usual hugs though, seeming as though she was doing a highly rehearsed type of hug and was simply going through the motions.
It was simply baffling. Why was dear little Eri acting so withdrawn and sad? There had to be a reason for it. But that wasn't the only shocking thing to happen.
Bakugou had made his way over, scowling as he ever did. "Hey kid." he said at an even, almost soft tone. He continued once Eri looked up at him. "There's an Ohranger marathon about to start. Want to watch it?" Eri gave a slight nod and in a move that would surprise anyone who knew the explosive teen in the slightest he offered her his hand and led her over to the couch, almost tenderly one might say.
That would lead to a dam of confusion bursting wide open. "Okay what in the world is going on? Eri looks like someone just shot her dog and that brat of mine is actually acting civilized. What is going on here?" Leave it to Mitsuki to get right to the point.
Izuku sighed, knowing this was going to come up sooner or later. He looked over at Eri on the couch, still looking downtrodden. "Follow me. There's a bit of a story I have to share." The two followed after the green haired boy, silently dreading what they were going to discover.
They were right to do so.
-----------
"WHAT?!"
That would be the response Mitsuki gave when Izuku explained what had Eri in such a dreadful mood.
As Izuku had explained it the villain Overhaul was trying to press charges against the very police department that had overseen his arrest. Claims were made that he was deliberately left with minimal security, thereby enabling the loss of his arms at the hands of the League of Villains. Said claims sounded absolutely absurd but the case was making headway for whatever reason. And that was only the start of this misery.
"You mean to tell me that... that... monster is actually trying to get out of jail!" Izuku shook his head at his honorary aunt. "No, that's not going to happen. His crimes should see him in Tartarus for the rest of his life." Izuku sounded more like he was hoping that would be the outcome than being certain of it. But he was snapped out of his funk by his mother.
"Is that why Eri is so sad today?" The question should have been expected but it still startled Izuku, who looked at his mother. "You might say that. Everyone who was involved with the Overhaul case is being summoned to court. And that includes Eri."
Inko and Mitsuki stood silent for a moment, processing what they just heard. Then Mitsuki gained a look of pure rage on her face. "Are you kidding me?" She spoke in an ice cold tone to contrast the burning fury on her face. "Does anyone know what that monster did to her? How he tortured her? Does no one know what they're asking that little girl to go through?" "That's exactly why they want Eri in court." The ash blonde woman stopped her tirade at that.
"Overhaul's case is based on the idea that the police officers and Pro-Heroes knew what he was doing to Eri when we rescued her and his legal team is trying to make it out that because of that he was deliberately left vulnerable for the League of Villains to attack."
Both women looked on in shock at him. Mitsuki would break the silence. "There's no way. There's no way this can actually be happening. After everything he did... to Eri... to those Pros... there's no way he should even be seeing the light of day." Inko was much of the same mind but her thoughts soon focused on the trauma this was causing for her granddaughter. "Oh poor Eri. Having to suffer like this. She's so young... and has been through so much already..." The green haired woman was about to start tearing up over what her white haired granddaughter was going through.
The three soon made their way back to the living room where Eri and Bakugou were watching their Sentai show. But young Eri's heart just didn't seem in it. There was no wonder in her eyes. No excited copying of the heroes' battle cries. No joy. She just sat there watching the show but not truly looking like she was watching it. Just sitting there listlessly as the world went on by her.
It was just a sight that would break your heart.
-------------
The two mothers eventually left the esteemed halls of UA, having tried and failed to lift little Eri's fallen spirits just a tiny bit. It was disheartening to say the least to know what that poor girl was suffering through. Inko thought long and hard about what could possibly be done to help her granddaughter. And by the time she got back home she knew exactly what that should be. She got her phone and dialed in an all too familiar number, waiting for an answer. When she finally received one she spoke the words that would tip the scales from darkness to light.
"Hello Hisashi..."

I was in the mood for some boys, and of course, megane-fucker me was like, shouldnt I watch that anime that was all about glasses boys.
Anyway, episode 1 was absolute trash. I thought I was promised a bunch of pure boys in glasses doing silly and fun things, not perverted miscreants under the guise of bespectacled youths attempting to create a pair of x-ray glasses to look through women’s clothes. Okay, maybe that was just episode 1 and they do other stupid shit later, I guess.
Unfortunately I really like the visual vibe of it, it’s very bright and the use of mob characters reminds me of Sarazanmai. The soundtrack almost too? Gives me the same Osomatsu-san/Sarazanmai feel. Unfortunately it’s not the same music composer. I actually don’t know these people very well. The character designer did Otona Pre, and Studio Deen isn’t unfamiliar with BL. Though Meganebu was apparently based off drama CDs by Deen, so I don’t actually know who the target audience for the series is. I’m not saying Meganebu is BL, but I thought if they’d want to draw a more female oriented cast, they’d either tone down on perverted boys and up male friendships.
I did chuckle a couple of times in episode 1 (Akira literally face in the eye test chart because he can’t see shit, Minabe stripping to reduce wind tension???) but the overall scenario of the first ep just wasn’t for me.
I was so ready to drop it but I had time I guess, so I went on to episode 2. I was still ready to drop it because making one character the butt of the joke (Hayato), is already uncool and not fun. Akira is also not that fun, because he’s the leader making these dudes create perverted glasses (how dare you besmirch glasses this way). I don’t have big opinions on Mitsuki (little shit simp) and Takuma (choux cream guy) but of course my bias was already Minabe. (the most generic sharp eyed cool looking megane guy and ikebo Suwabe)
So yeah, ep2 B really said here you stuck around for all the stupid shit so here’s some fucking food. It’s probably mud covered moldy bread but I’m eating it. Anyway, sleeping Minabe glasses moe moment, I’m eating that. (I’m ?? why it was with sensei but ok.) Minabe falling into the river 3 times and geting smacked in the face Tom & Jerry style, I’m eating that. Minabe sad childhood backstory and present day reflection of him running to his friend’s house, eating that. Him being stupid all for Akira, I’m eating that. I’m still leaving Akira in a dumpster but maybe his brother(?) Hikaru will save him.
So yeah unfortunately I guess I’m sticking around, if just for Minabe (not like this is the first time I’m stuck around a bad anime for a guy alone) then the curiosity surrounding Hikaru. I don’t expect it to be anything mind blowing, but I guess it depends on my tolerance for bullshit.

MLA May AUs (Part 5 + 6/31)
Intro Post
5/5: sorry, you’re not a winner
+
5/6: okay, time for plan b
—– — —– — —– — —– — —–
Content Notes: Language; Sports Festival violence but they're even younger; Bakugou Mitsuki's A+ Parenting.
sorry, you’re not a winner
“Why do I still have to fight in the baby brackets?” The question from the backseat is a sharp, annoyed complaint. Mitsuki rolls her eyes.
“Katsuki, you’re eleven. You still are a—”
“Now, now,” Masaru breaks in hurriedly as he eases the car into the drop-off lane for the front gate. “I’m sure—”
“It’s stupid!” Katsuki insists. “I’ve won them three years in a row! Destro even wrote that kids are stronger than grown-ups.”
“That’s not quite what—”
“He used to have kids fight their parents,” comes the rebellious mutter, and a kick to the back of Mitsuki’s seat. “We should bring that back.”
“Time for all brats to get out of the car now!” Mitsuki says with a nitroglycerine brightness as Masaru pulls up to the curb. She all but shoves Katsuki out of the door; he goes, complaining the whole time, bursts and flares sparking around his hands.
They both sigh once the kid vanishes up the ramp towards the turnstiles, joining a flood of other children under the eyes of badged event staff. Masaru slides the car back into the flow of traffic, heading for the reserved parking.
“…You didn’t tell him about Geten?” he asks at length.
Mitsuki flips down the passenger side vanity mirror and pats at her hair. “Life’s full of surprises, dear.” She tweaks a few strands back into place and smiles firmly at her reflection. “He’s overdue for a few.”
-
Katsuki blows through the first four rounds just like he blew through his local qualifiers. Older kids, younger kids, none of them give him a fight worth a damn. He’s so over this. Almost ninety years, the Liberation Army’s been around, and they still won’t bend for letting kids better than everyone else get where they deserve to be. He might as well have stayed at home and watched the U.A. Sports Festival, for all the surprises the children’s tourney’s got to offer.
At least the TVs in the breakroom are playing the adult brackets, too. Bakugou spends his recovery time between rounds glued to the screen and comparing himself to what will, in five years, be his competition—finally, actual warriors, people who’ve seen real fights.
He still isn’t impressed with most of them, but at least it’ll be a new crowd.
Round Five is exactly who he figured it’d be, exactly who it always is, and Katsuki sneers at the white-haired figure pacing out onto the field.
“You again. Why can’t you lose a round early for once, you shitty yuki-onna? Don’t you think everyone’s getting bored of watching me hand you your ass every year?” He trash-talks because you gotta, and because even if Geten does put up a good fight before he goes down, he still does go down. Goes practically feral every year, and every year, goes down. It serves him right for being so close with the Grand Commander when he can’t even win the kiddy brackets, but still, Katsuki’s in a bad mood and ready to get this over with so they can get on to watching the real brackets, and he can watch Dad put in the order for the sneakers he picked out as his victory prize last week.
Geten—three years older, and he still loses every time; Katsuki doesn’t know how he even keeps showing his face at this thing—sneers back. “Just as overconfident as always. You’re disgraceful.”
“Keep telling yourself that, Daddy’s Boy.”
“Hero apologist.”
The starter pistol fires, and they’re already moving.
It takes him too long to notice what’s wrong.
Just like every year, the first thing Geten’s gotta do is keep distance long enough to pull in ice from the cups of the audience and the concession stand machines. Just like every year, he does. His flying’s steadier than ever this year, and Katsuki’s still working on his—if this were a real fight, Geten could draw this out a lot longer by keeping more distance, but a vertical ring-out is still a ring-out, and he can’t keep farther away than Katsuki can launch himself.
Rattle his dumb ice dragons apart with blasts of hot concussive force, dodge any ice that he can’t get a hand on or burst before it reaches him, and just keep doing that until every cube is just so much water seeping into the ground. Geten might be a better flier, but Katsuki’s getting bigger and stronger every year, so every year, he can push himself more, go longer and longer without starting to stagger from muscle burn and dehydration.
This year, the ice doesn’t stop coming. The sculptures get blasted apart, but they don’t get any smaller when they put themselves back together.
It makes sense that Geten’s getting stronger too, but they’re in the same venue as always, the stadium in Re-Destro’s Mount Nowhere hometown. Did the Grand Commander have more ice machines put in? Is this favoritism? Or is Geten’s range getting better? Is he pulling from outside the stadium now?
The ice keeps coming.
Katsuki blasts and ducks and leaps and blasts and rolls and blasts some more. He throws a glance at the jumbotron counter—almost ten minutes and it’s still going up; what the hell—then snaps his head back around just in time to intercept a long, serpent-shaped volley.
“You’re slowing down.”
It keeps coming. The next one catches him from behind, and he tries to flip out of it, somersault back into standing, but his arm folds beneath him, leaving him flat on his back with an iceberg falling out of the sky aimed right at him.
He gets his hands up just in time, unleashing a full force blast to blow it away. Ice shatters and goes everywhere, trailing melting water. Gaze darting from one tumbling shard to the next, looking for the angle the next attack will come from, Katsuki’s eye catches on one liquid streamer.
It’s almost all water. Geten can’t control water; that’s not what his meta-ability is and meta-abilities don’t just change.
And then a cloudy fragment of ice hits it from the side, goes solid white, and everything around it freezes. This close to his face, Katsuki can feel the temperature drop.
What the fuck. What the fuck?! Katsuki scrambles back to his feet just as the huge hand of ice snatches for him.
“What the fuck?!” he howls. “You’re cheating!”
“No one’s cheating. I just changed.” Above him, Geten’s got the hood up, so all Katsuki can see is those glowing eyes, but he can hear the shit grinning as he answers, “It’s my win, Explosion.”
-
Masaru covers his face with one hand. Even from the stands, he can hear the profanity.
“I am going to kick that kid’s ass for talking like that in front of everyone,” Mitsuki says beside him.
“Well, some frustration is understandable.” The voice cuts in smoothly from the side, and both of them snap to attention. “But he’s putting up an amazing fight, as always.”
Re-Destro waves aside their salutes and looks down towards the event, where Katsuki dangles in the air, arms pinned to his sides by the block of ice that at this point only barely resembles a fist. He thrashes and yells, but the only sparks from his hands are sputtering and erratic, and the match counter stopped several seconds ago.
“You didn’t warn him about Geten’s evolution?” the Grand Commander asks lightly, and Mitsuki squares her shoulders.
“Our Katsuki was getting too proud,” she answers. “Losing sight of the bigger picture. He was overdue for something like this, and in the long run, it’ll be good for him.” She pauses, a rare hesitation during which Re-Destro nods understanding, then continues. “If I can ask, Grand Commander—what actually caused it? The rumor mill’s been going crazy.”
“Ah.” Re-Destro looks briefly abashed, rubbing at his nose with one knuckle. “Well… We had a small accident back in November. A burn that needed attention. There wasn’t enough ice to make a proper icepack, so Geten… Changed the circumstances.”
“His burn, or someone else’s?”
“The latter.”
Mitsuki nodded. “That's why. Katsuki needs to learn who he’s fighting for.”

Content Notes: Paranoid anti-government conspiracy theorists aren't much fun to have as parents.
This fill features the PLF Advisor I affectionately refer to as Taser Face, this guy:
ok, time for plan b
The government tracked lightning users, that was the problem. They were in high demand, not for being heroes, but for civil work, infrastructure stuff that looked boring as hell but paid like crazy. Being even semi-good at grounding charges—much less being able to conduct them—meant you had pamphlets showing up in the mailbox practically the day you turned fourteen, incentive offers encouraging you to think about your future, your education, your “civic duty.”
Denki knew what his duty was, and it wasn’t to keep the gears of an oppressive society turning for a few more years before the Meta Liberation Army revolutionized it. Not that the MLA didn’t want people in infrastructure, too, but…
“They use wiretaps,” Denki’s father used to mutter conspiratorially. “They read your mail. They’d chain you to the generators if they could get away with it, and seducing people with money is how they got as close as they can.”
The whole “become a lightning-themed hero instead” idea hadn’t gone over much better, obviously. If Denki’s father had his way, the whole family would just live in the woods with no mailbox and train all day long.
His uncle—Mom’s older brother—had come to the rescue half a year later.
-
“Hey, throw it here!”
Galvanize pounded a fist into his open palm, then spread his hands out in front of him. One of Denki’s cousins—they'd all been not-unsympathetically chucking handfuls of electricity and insults at him to recapture his attention every time it had strayed to the town hall building—caught the lightning ball they’d been playing catch with and hurled it at his father like he was trying for a speed record.
The man caught it bare-handed then shook it out, sparks crawling down the backs of his hands and dispersing through his fingers.
“Got it,” he announced, and aimed a sharp grin at Denki that said, Like there was ever any doubt. “If you think you’re up for it.”
Denki dropped all pretenses of caring about the game and dashed over.
“False identity,” turned out to be the answer. “It’d mean moving in with some people we got up in Saitama. They’ve got a space they need filled with a lightning meta; we got you.”
“I’ll do it.” Denki didn’t hesitate; didn’t look for more than a second at his dad pushing his way out the door and stalking off towards the parking lot without a backward glance.
Cable TV. Internet access. Video games developed after 2145. Trendy stores. Modernity. How was a guy supposed to help bring liberation and the future to a backwards world when he didn’t even know what the present looked like? The world was opening up in front of him, and no way was he gonna miss it.
“S’gonna mean not much chance to call home,” Galvanize warned. “Your dad doesn’t want—”
“I’ll do it.”
-
Two years later, the world collapsed back into itself. His friends were behind him. Midnight-sensei ran alongside him. And his uncle was striding out to the front of the crowd spilling out of the Villa, eyes locked on Denki’s, Amplivolt in hand. He grinned—his old sharp grin, which hadn’t changed a bit, though his eyes weren’t unsympathetic.
Denki swallowed down the hard knob of fear in his throat; he blinked back stinging tears of panic and denial. He pounded a fist into his open palm, then spread his hands out in front of him.

Notes for Bakugou:
Destro Classic would like to stress that the mock battles he staged between parents and children featured adult children and he does not endorse staging live combat between grade-schoolers.
Yuki-onna: Snow woman, among the better known Japanese youkai. Classically a killer in wintery times and high altitudes, but has a softer side in some stories, especially more modern ones.
Katsuki wanted All Might sneakers. He's still an All Might fan, which is a complicated thing for him to navigate here, as you might imagine--hence Geten calling him a hero apologist. Masaru said he wasn't allowed to pick hero merch as a reward for winning a Meta Liberation Army event, however.
I suspect the tourneys (child and adult) have some intentional overlap with the U.A. Sports Festival. The U.A. Sports Festival has been said to have taken the place of the Olympics in HeroAca!Japan, and the MLA thinks that's elitist garbage. They also don't want too many of their own getting emotionally invested in hero students. For both reasons, they "counterprogram" with their own quirk-on-quirk showdowns.
I have RD's hometown as being somewhere up in the mountains in Nara, which is only something like 27% inhabitable land. Lots of room in that remaining 73% to build a village that the government mostly leaves alone because it seems to get on okay and it's too much of a pain in the ass to get people up there anyway.
Izuku is probably not in Katsuki's life anymore in this AU. Is Geten a good replacement...? Well, they certainly push each other to br stronger, anyway! Just don't ask about their moral development.
Notes for Kaminari:
If Horikoshi doesn't want to tell me about the alleged lucrative non-Hero jobs that account for there being so few lightning-powered heroes, I guess I'll just have to make it up myself.
Galvanize in my headcanon is a father of three and consequently resolutely unimpressed with Teenage Drama. He's from the same hometown as Re-Destro and Trumpet.
I also like the idea of Kaminari getting tangled with the MLA because he likes war novels with romantic elements+faddish cool things, and the wild popularity of the Destro memoir fits both of those criteria. This idea fit the prompt better, however.

@redriotkiri || reply to { xx }
I agree with you 100%. What he said wasn't okay and everyone sees that and acknowledges it, but he's grown SO MUCH since then and he is not the same person he was at the beginning of the series. I get hating on Endeavor more than Katsuki because his bad behavior was even more recent and more serious, but even then he's ??? not the same guy anymore ??? The whole point of those characters is to show that people can grow and BE BETTER and atone for the things they've done
and become good people. imo like the characters they've hurt not accepting it or forgiving them is one thing, that's totally understandable and reasonable bc they're the ones who were hurt by them and they're not obligated to forgive someone who hurt them, but just fans of the show/manga ?? idk man just seems like some folks are looking for a reason to hate them and refusing to actually SEE the character
I don't care for Mineta, but even him like ??? he's not as bad as he was at the beginning of the series and they've toned down his bad behavior a lot. On that note tho, he and Mitsuki are BOTH really just intended to deliver some kind of punchline or comic relief most of the time they're on screen so they don't get the same kind of development as someone like Endeavor or Katsuki
Exactly .... a series would be so boring if every character introduced was good and didn’t provide any sort of conflict. Hell, I wasn’t a fan of IZUKU MIDORIYA in the beginning because he just gave me such “good, innocent, main character who got a great power that he can’t control that he will eventually get a handle on” vibes. That I found him so damn boring because that’s such a shounen trope for the main character. And I gravitated to Katsuki more because his character fascinated me so much. And nowadays Izuku is in my Top 5 favorite characters.
And like you said ... Mitsuki and Mineta are both intended to be comic relief characters. Like I noticed in every situation where Mitsuki is yelling at or smacking Katsuki it’s ALWAYS when a more serious situation is happening. And that’s because Horikoshi wants to lighten the mood a bit. But also Mitsuki has LESS screen time than Mineta does... like you can literally count on one hand how many times she appears in the series. And that’s not her fault -- that is completely Hori’s doing for only bringing in her in when it’s completely needed for plot reasons. That’s counting the times with and without Katsuki being around her. And the times we see her without Katsuki being around we can see that she does genuinely love and care about her son.
And hell, in the early days of him being at U.A., Katsuki’s anger outbursts were being treated as a joke and for comic relief. No one in the class (outside of maybe Iida and Momo) really took him seriously whenever he yelled out “die” or whatever.
Like THIS is our introduction to both Tsuyu and Denki ...
and it’s them bullying Katsuki on the way to the USJ.
Which, also reading Tsuyu’s statement that “He’d never be popular.” and than looking at the number 1 spot of the last 6? popularity polls is fuckin’ hilarious. xDD

I love it when people talk about things they're passionate about, tell me something cool!! Anything you want, just something you find interesting or want to talk about :D
hello anon my beloved, I am in a bad mood so you will be receiving a passionate, yet lowkey of pissy rant about why villainizing bakugou makes me wanna vomit and its NOT just because I'm a dumbass kinnie :)
tws: child abuse (emotional and physical), near death expierences, bullying, kidnapping, suffocation, lots of trauma in general tbh. if you've seen bnha then basically just keep all the general triggering plot stuff in mind incase i missed any warnings
also, note: I havent caught up on bnha in a minute, I'm at like the start of the war arc but I barely remember shit there tbh so like. probs missing new stuff. also bnha spoiler warnings lol
so, for starters, the homie bakugou has like,, a good handful of issues that come from his childhood that explain why he's an ass. he was always praised and never actually reprimanded for being a twat which led to him having a huge ego that ended up fucking him over majorly. this ego was something that his mother acknowledged him having, but literally didnt try to fix it with anything other than violence. see here:
like, instead of trying to help him, she hits and insults him, which is probably what led to his weird inferiority/superiority complex. being constantly told by others that you're outstanding and one day you'll be a top hero because you're rude and aggressive and then going home and being hit by your mother for those exact same behaviors is bound to fucking confuse a child.
so like, now that we've established that its definetly canon that his mother (parents? I think he said parents at some point but masaru doesn't seem like the type so 🤷) hits him though we don't know how much or how often (though if bakugou was as much of a little shit back then ((which as far as we've seen- he was)) then it was probably often), lets talk about how regardless of all that 1) hitting your kids as "discipline" not only doesn't work but is abusive lol like idc if it's spanking/popping them on the mouth for talking shit, slapping them across the face "on occasion", etc. shits not okay 2) hitting your kids!!!! does not work!!!!!!!! it is literally PROVEN not to work!!!!!!!! hitting a child who has done something wrong doesnt teach them to stop doing something it teaches them to be scared of you, which will cause the child to withdraw, removing part of their support system (assuming said abusive parents would even offer that up) and will most likely lead to them thinking they're a bad person, not that their actions were bad, which are two different things. so, ya know, that would clearly have an effect on a kid. like, as someone with a mother who reminds me all too much of mitsuki: I have acted like a complete shitbag and taken my anger out on people to feel better in the past because of the way my mother treated me. though it was nowhere near what bakugou did, I still know first fucking hand what a mother hitting and insulting her child will do, especially if they have no proper outlet for that (friends, a safe place to vent) which bakugou never fucking had.
theres also the fact that just talking to your kid the way mitsuki does (saying it's his fault he was kidnapped because he's weak, all while hitting him) is not??? okay?????? ive seen people arguing that this was just a joke in poor taste but like her son was KIDNAPPED and even if it was a "joke" there's literally NO WAY that would EVER?? BE FUNNY??????? she just sounds like the kind of parent who at the very least says shit without thinking that would traumatize bakugou (because being told right after being kidnapped it's your fucking fault by your mother is absolutely traumatizing) but it comes across as her being emotionally abusive.
mitsukis character as a whole comes across as a shitty mom who doesn't realize she's a shitty mom and thinks bakugou being an ass isn't at least partially her fault even though she's admitted to realizing he has always had an ego problem and doing nothing to fix it except for hitting and yelling which obviously did nothing but make him just as loud and violent as she is.
this is obviously not the entire reason why he's a dick but he was never properly taught that the shit he was doing wasn't okay and people not stopping it and/or praising him endlessly even tho he was a bully is basically the same as encouraging it, thank you very much.
moving on from that, let's talk about bakugous other traumas and how he naturally responds to them. hint: it's with either full blown panic or a fight response (verbal or physical, though usually physical. also sometimes it's the panic followed by the fight response.)
so far in bnha (keep in mind that I am not caught up, I've only read up to the beginning of the war arc and i barely remember those bits so) bakugou has...
nearly died via sludge villain (he was unable to move and was being suffocated to death- keep this in mind)
lost for the first time ever and against deku of all people (this nearly sent him into a full blown panic attack, likely because of that sexy little inferiority/superiority complex combo. think of this as like. gifted kid burnout lite. he has always been the best of the best and now suddenly he is being beaten by somebody who has always been weaker than him, which immediately makes him start thinking he was never actually that good, he's actually a fucking failure, a goddamn fraud)
won the sports festival by default (bakugou counts this as yet another failure because todoroki didnt try his best. had bakugou lost to todoroki full strength, he would've taken 2nd place with a bit of bitching, but he still wouldve taken it rather than refuse the medal as it would be a reminder that he failed. instead of accepting that like UA shouldve, the staff chained and muzzled him on live television and then had all might, his fucking idol, force the medal into his mouth. remember the sludge villain incident and how he couldnt move and was suffocating to death? yeah.)
been kidnapped because of the way he reacted to winning during the sports festival (he was aggressive and tried to refuse the medal because he felt he didnt deserve it and was then retraumatized by being chained up and muzzled. his "villainous attitude" was a fucking trauma response, do not tell me otherwise)
was then chained up once again by the LOV after being kidnapped,,, do we see the "retraumatize bkg" theme yet?
"ended all might" (he literally blames himself for all mights retirement because had he just not have been weak, all might wouldve had more time, right?)
my point with all of these is that bakugou has been severely traumatized and has then had his trauma responses (aggression, fight) used to further demonize him. not all people with trauma react the fucking same and the way the fandom just refuses to acknowledge anger as a valid form of trauma response is gross as hell.
moving away from that topic, bakugou has literally never had any actual friends, they all just used him and didn't care about him which absolutely will fuck up a kid, especially one who already has all that other shit going on. bakugou deadass never had a support system or people to help him grow as a person, let alone properly work through his fucking emotions so it's not surprising that he would take out his bullshit on the one person who tried to help him especially considering he saw dekus actions as him thinking he was weak. bakugou was raised to not seek help, he thought somebody strong shouldnt ever need it, so for somebody like deku (who bakugou percieved as weak and helpless already) to offer up help? deku must obviously think bakugou is even weaker than him, what other explanation could their possibly be!
speaking of which, there's his heaps of insecurities that he basically hid by being a twat and bullying others for most of his life. kid was so insecure he bullied deku for fucking years cause he thought deku looked down on him, thought he was better than him, etc. and that only got worse bc his idol then decided to take deku in, train him and even give him his quirk. there's probably some shit im missing but still he's got issues and always has had issues. that being said, he's actually improving and working them out now which is what makes him a really good, interesting character. it's also nice to see a character who is a dick without some tragic backstory (like his backstory is sad but its not the classic "my family was fucking slaughtered and i turned into a raging bitch who murders people" type shit) bc that rarely happens and it's like most assholes don't actually have a story like that they're just assholes lol
now lets talk improvement! lil bitch has been getting better since he got into UA and im so happy abt it!! he had a rough start what with deku suddenly having a quirk and all but like he is really improving now and it highkey shows that bakugou just mostly needed people who 1) didn't constantly praise him and actually criticized him instead 2) actually fucking punished him doing stupid shit and 3) some motherfucking friends
Since going to UA he's gotten actually feedback from teachers about his weaknesses and how to get stronger, he's lost against others, hes been told he has a shit attitude and is a dick, told he should be nicer and leave deku alone, etc etc. He hasn't gotten in trouble too much with teachers but others give him shit for what he does and aizawa has punished him too, while still acknowledging that bakugou is an amazing and dedicated student, something which no one else had done up til that point. and uh???? homie actually has friends who like,,, don't use him and also call him out when he's a dick. like specifically kirishima has done this shit and him and bakugous relationship is clearly very healthy and beneficial for the both of them. makes me feel all happy n shit, ya know
bottom line is: while it is absolutely valid to dislike or even hate bakugou because he is a massively flawed person who has been very cruel to others, villainizing him for the way he acts which in large part seems to be from a lack of guidance, a shitty mother and heavy amounts of trauma, is fucking awful. his actions cannot be fucking excused, he needs to apologize and continue to grow, but he is also a fucking teenager, who is just now being told that the way he acts is unacceptable by people who dont fucking abuse him (and I swear to god if any people who think mitsuki isnt abusive interact with this fucking post I will fullstop hardblock you, I do not fucking care) and actually treat him like a normal person instead of some prodigy child or someone who needs to be fixed.
people are free to debate my points or whatever bc I know some of this stuff is up to interpretation but like. dni if you're just here to say you hate bakugou for xyz reason or that he's irredeemable. also especially dni if you compare him to fucking endeavor yall bitches make me gag.
anyways thxs for the ask anon <33 sorry this is a kinda messy info dump lol

Fairy Tales in a Dream 2

Translated by: jewwyfeesh

Heeeey~! Arashi-saaaaaaaaan! Stay there, don’t moooooooooove!
Season: Summer
Location: Inside The Theatre
Leo: Ueueue… Where is he… where is he… WHERE IS HE…?! I swear I clearly saw him from the stage just now…!
Madara: Leo-san! Mama’s over hereeeeeee…☆ (Waving hands vigorously)
Leo: Phew, I finally managed to worm my way around that sea of people to meet you! Beep boop boop beep boop! Super uchuu~☆
Madara: Hahaha, it seems like Leo-san has yet to separate himself from the role of the alien?
Well, colour me amazed! Even though the aliens played by Wataru-san and Nagisa-san were very interesting, I still think that Leo-san’s performance was the most natural! Simply put, you embodied that character perfectly!
Leo: Heh. After all, the inspiration for this story of friendship between the kids from Les Mis and high school students was from something I provided to Keito; I was also responsible for composing the theme song!
So when Keito was writing the script for the play, he seemed to have modeled an alien after me! This way, it was a piece of cake for me to remember my lines after composing. Really made stuff a whole lot easier ♪
Arashi: Oh, so that’s what happened. That doesn’t sound too bad, actually. I wish I could also have a role that’s tailor-made just for me.
Leo: —Uwah, Naru?! Naru, where did you pop up from?!
Ahhh, wait wait wait, let me guess! You didn’t ride on a spaceship called ‘Les Misérables’ and had an emergency landing here, did you?!
Arashi: Oh my, I’m afraid not. I just took the regular ol’ train here to watch this original musical by Dramatica after work.
Leo: Oh! If I had known you were gonna come, I would’ve saved you a better seat, just like what I did for Mama!
Arashi: Ufufu, it’s alright, I already bought good tickets pretty early on. To be honest, I would much prefer standing on stage, performing happily with everyone else, instead of sitting in the audience, quietly enjoying the show.
Though, the scheduled rehearsals for this particular production clashed perfectly with the time slots for my other jobs… So even if I wanted to, it was impossible for me to perform in this.
Madara: Is that why Arashi-san looks sorta out of it? Come’ere, let Mama pat you on the head and comfort you! There there~ ♪
Arashi: Goodness, could Mama please not treat me like a little kid who can’t grow up~?
Either way, I’ve already received an offer from NewDi for an acting job, so I’ve decided to properly grab onto this opportunity.
Therefore, as a newbie in Dramatica, my goal today was to study and gain experience. In the end, the seniors’ acting went beyond my expectations; it was simply amazing.
I can’t help but feel pressured; I don’t know if I’ll be as brilliant as they had been… but dwelling on these worries now isn’t going to help at all, right?
Leo: Mhm! I think you’re thinking too much. If it’s you, I’m sure it’ll be a-okay!
Madara: That's right, that’s right! When that day comes, Mama will also rush to the venue and clap real loud for Arashi-san☆
Arashi: Ehehe, thank you Leo-kun, Mama ♪

Madara: Ahaha, sorry, sorry! To be honest, Anzu-san has something urgent that she’d like to contact you for, so please check your phone!
Arashi: …Anzu-chan?
Madara: Just now Leo-san and I bumped into her in the ES Building, and asked her if anything was wrong since she looked rather anxious.
She said that she sent a bunch of info to your phone earlier this afternoon, but they were all left unread. When she called, you didn’t pick up the phone either, so she’s really worried about you.
Good thing I just met you earlier on, and knew where you were headed to next, so I thought that I might as well come over to deliver the message!
Arashi: ? That’s odd, I don’t think I’ve received any new notifications?
…Oh my goodness, this one’s on me! When I went to watch the musical, I put my phone on silent, and forgot to switch it back on when I left the theatre to go on a stroll.
Don’t tell me Mama ran all the way to Saison Avenue just to tell me about this?
What if I’ve already completed my business here and left? Wouldn’t this trip have been a waste of your time, Mama…?
Madara: Speed is paramount in war! No matter how you put it, I am the previous leader of the track and field club! Racing against time is my forte ☆
…Anzu-san, that kid. Whenever she comes across difficulties, she’s used to quietly bearing the burden alone; it’s rare for her to actively rely on others for help.
So even if I can help her out, just a little bit… as Mama, I’ll do it to the best of my abilities, so as to fulfill her aspirations.

Momo: Hello everyone~! This is the correspondent for “Resorts for a Joyful Summer”, Momo of Re:Vale!
Gaku: This is Yaotome Gaku of TRIGGER! Please take care of us!
Mitsuki: This is Izumi Mitsuki of IDOLiSH7! Everyone in the audience, please take care of us~!
Momo: “Resorts for a Joyful Summer” requires on-location filming outdoors, so we’re currently here at a private beach~!
Momo: Who would’ve known that the suburbs of Tokyo would have such an amazing surfing spot, it’s my first time here!
Mitsuki: Oh, that’s a surprise! You seemed like you knew all about the nearby seasides, Momo-san.
Momo: I do feel confident in my knowledge, and I’m pretty sure I roughly know about them! But wow~ this world sure is a wide place…!
Gaku: We can see here that this is a confidential spot that even the most knowledgeable of people don’t know about! This is the hotel’s private beach after all, so maybe not a lot of people know about it.
Gaku: And the place we’re here at right now, is the exact place that can be block booked, as long as a reservation is made.
Mitsuki: Booking an entire private beach for filming purposes feels extravagant~!
Momo: Now then, the 3 of us will continue to introduce the charms of this unexplored beach!
Mitsuki and Gaku: Yeah~!!
Staff: — alright, cut! Everyone, please come ashore~ please use a towel as well!
Mitsuki: Thank you!
Staff: Everyone sure matches the ocean perfectly~! You all brought up the topic of surfing earlier as well.
Gaku: I actually really like surfing, I’d sometimes go surfing when I’m on vacation.
Momo: I just went to the beach to hang out with Gaku and Ryuu recently as well, right~!
Mitsuki: Eh, what’s up with that! You should’ve invited me as well! I’ll feel lonely like this you know!
Momo: Ahaha, I’m sorry! I heard that Mitsuki-kun had a job at that time.
Mitsuki: No way…! Damn it~!
Gaku: Haha, let’s go together next time then!
Staff: Ha ha ha! Everyone’s relationship behind the scenes is quite well, I see!
Staff: …ah! We have to check the scenes that were captured by the camera earlier, could everyone please wait here for a bit?
Momo: Okay~!
Mitsuki: Ah~ The ocean’s the best! How do I say this, just listening to the sound of the ocean waves is enough to make me excited, just that alone makes me happy.
Mitsuki: Even though we’re here for a job, my mood has been amazing since earlier!
Momo: That’s a good thing then! We gotta be happy first and foremost!
Gaku: That’s right! We rarely ever get to go to the beach, much less so together with the few of us.
Gaku: It’d be a waste to not enjoy the ocean to the fullest!
Mitsuki: Ha ha ha! I guess you’re right! …but this time’s on-location filming has a summer vacation feel to it, is it alright for us to enjoy it so much like this!?
Momo: Ha ha ha! You might jinx it if you phrase it like that.
Staff: Sorry for the wait! We’ve already verified the scenes, please move toward the next location.
Staff: We’ll be filming the beach portion next!
Gaku: Got it!
ㅤ
Staff: We’ll be continuing our filming now.
Staff: Mitsuki-kun, can you please hold this display board in a flipped manner?
Mitsuki: Eh? The display board?
Gaku: What does it say?
Staff: Ah~ Sorry! Everyone, please do not take a look at the contents of the board first…
Staff: Once the cameras start rolling, everyone please introduce the beach first.
Staff: I will give a signal when the time is right, please flip the board over when that time comes and read out the contents written on it…!
Mitsuki: I understand!
Momo: This feels~ a little suspicious…
Gaku: How strange.
Staff: Well then, we’ll be resuming filming! 3,2,1…!
Momo: Yahoo~! We’re here at the beach!
Momo: The ocean view is super pretty, but looking at the view of the wide beach, it feels amazing as well~! It makes people feel like playing volleyball!
Gaku: There are also shops at the beach, so you can take a break once you're tired.
Momo: That’s right, drinking some juice to relax doesn’t sound too bad!
Mitsuki: That sounds really nice! Now I want some drinks as well!
Gaku: Ahh, I feel you! Drinking beer while watching the sunset sounds great!
Momo: Ha ha ha! That’s the best! Now then, what will we be doing at a place like this…
Mitsuki’s internal monologue: Ah! The signal!
Mitsuki’s internal monologue: “Please flip the board over” huh. Alright…!
Mitsuki: Ta da~!! Let’s see…
Mitsuki: “Keep the peace of the beach, and become heroes of the beach!”
Mitsuki: …uh, eh!?
Momo: Heroes of the beach!?
Gaku: What…!?

“i can’t hear you”
Bakugou Katsuki x best friend reader
soft angst
tw: screaming, emotional meltdown.
short fic about bakugou and you’re his childhood best friend, and you help him through dealing with his hearing loss. enjoy lovies.
*******************************************************
You woke up to the sound of your mother knocking on your door and yelling, “y/n wake up, you have training today with katsuki. i love that boy but i am not in the mood to deal with his explosive attitude over you being late .” You lived right next door to katsuki all your life and since your moms were best friends, you guys were best friends since you learned how to walk. Every saturday you guys would train from 8 AM to noon in his garage since it was basically a mini gym, and then after you both would head over to your house. You checked the time on your phone on the bedside table and it read 7:50. “SHIT MOM WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME UP SOONER” you yelled as you jumped out of bed and quickly found a black tank top and grey sweatpants to train in. You could hear your mom chuckling as she walked away from your door. You grabbed your headphones, phone, water bottle, and Nike’s before yelling a goodbye and dashing over to Katsuki’s front yard.
You knocked on his door four times so that his family knew it was you. You were halfway through slipping your shoes on when Mitsuki answered. She yawned and pulled you into a side hug. “Good morning y/n, you hungry?” She asked as she closed the door behind you guys and started towards the kitchen. “No thanks Mitsuki, I don’t like to train on a full stomach. My mom is making a huge lunch though, you guys are welcome to join us.” You said cheerfully, but kept your voice low since it was very early and you could tell Katsuki’s mom was still half asleep. She nodded and then whipped her head to face you wearing a look on her face as if she had just remembered something very important. “Kat has been very on edge lately and not very responsive this week.” She paused before starting again and turned her gaze to the floor, almost as if she didn’t want to talk. “I think it might have to do with his hearing. He won’t admit it, but I think his quirk is finally starting to affect him. Good thing we put him in those sign language classes as a precaution.” she laughed dryly and then turned back to look at you. “Just, take it easy him with the teasing today okay? and maybe try speaking a little louder. I’ll go see if he’s ready” and with that she gathered herself up the stairs and disappeared.
You thought silently as you waited, and all of a sudden it made sense. Lately at school bakugou has been yelling more than usual, and telling everyone to speak louder. Maybe he was yelling more to be able to hear himself? You didn’t know. Bakugou has been learning sign language since he was 7 years old as a precaution for this and has been regularly signing while he talks since he was 10. So, bakugou using his sign language all the time wasn’t uncommon, but maybe Mitsuki was right. You made a mental note not to say anything until you actually noticed a big change in your guys’ training. You waited patiently for about another 10 minutes before Katsuki finally came downstairs.
“Hey idiot, nice outfit.” Katsuki greeted you in his groggy morning voice, his hands signing his words lazily. You looked down at the tank top and sweatpants you were wearing and looked back to him, you both were wearing the same exact thing. “Morning pom pom” you greeted back as you gathered your things and started to head towards the garage. You turned around to see bakugou staring into nothing, so you called out. “Hey kat, you coming?” No response. You repeated yourself, but this time loud enough you were sure you woke his dad. He whipped his head towards you and nodded before following along. As you were walking down the hall, you turned to him and asked, “You okay?” while signing your words. Katsuki looked down at your hands and his cheeks started to dust with the lightest shade of pink. He huffed and his red eyes sparked as he just growled out a ‘yeah’ and walked ahead of you into the garage, starting to set up for your session. You yourself had picked up sign language at a young age because your dad was deaf because his quirk was being able to shoot sonic booms from his hands. you pressed the button to open the garage door and let some light in. You then walked over to the speakers and plugged your phone in as you hit play on your playlist specifically for training days. Bakugou stopped setting up the bench press station and yelled, “Can you turn it up? “ as he signed quickly, but then went back to putting the weights together. You turned back to the speaker only to be surprised since the volume was already almost at max capacity. You shook your head and turned the volume all the way up. This session should be interesting.
It was around 9:30 AM at this point and you and Kat had finished weights and went on a 2 mile run. You were currently sitting on the floor stretching your quads as the loud techno music boomed around you. You glanced over at katsuki who was stretching on the other side of the garage and he seemed to be in a whole other universe. You called out to him, but he didn’t do so much as flinch. You picked yourself up off the floor and slowly walked towards him. You called a few more times and still got nothing from him, so you decided to turn off the music. As soon as you did Katsuki’s head shot up and his eyes darted towards you. “What the hell was that for dipshit? We’re gonna start sparring soon, we need it.” He said/yelled at you while you sauntered over to him and took a seat about a foot away from his now steaming body. You wiped the sweat from your forehead with the back of your arm before talking to katsuki, well you didn’t exactly talk with your voice, you were mostly signing. “Katsuki are you sure you’re okay? You’re not responding when I call out for you.” You waited for his response as his eyes stayed on your hands that were once moving. This time he answered, but for some reason he didn’t sign. “If I tell you, you can’t tell a single soul you hear me dumbass? Not even my parents. “ You nodded your head and gently reach over to squeeze his hand four times, your guys’ way of saying I promise. He then began to talk, and signed very aggressively as he did so, and what he said was enough to shatter you into a million pieces.
“I’ve been struggling in a way lately,” he started, “I tried to cover it up by just yelling all the time hoping people would just think it was my normal behavior. But, really it was so i could he hear myself.” Katsuki let out a long breath and you could see his hands slightly shaking. “It started out last week as just a slight ringing, but it got louder every damn day. But, this week the ringing got quieter, and eventually everything around me started to sound like I was underwater. “ He looked up at you and your breath hitched, tears rolled down katsuki’s face as he held eye contact. He shook out his hands and took another shakey breath before he began, “I- I can barely hear you y/n! And its so frusturating.” the volume of his voice was rising, and you could see the pain he was feeling through his eyes and the tears that were now dripping down to his shirt. “I can’t hear your fucking voice damnit! It’s the only one that doesn’t drive me up fucking walls. it terrifies me!” He was screaming at this point as his hands worked through the air to express his words. The tears came at a much quicker pace once he had stopped to breathe, and those tear turned into sobs as he curled in on himself. He tucked his knees to his chest and ducked his head into his arms as they wrapped around his legs. His shoulders and back shook as he cried, and for a moment you didn’t know what to do. You haven’t seen Katsuki cry since you both were 8 years old and he was playing with his quirk and accidently blasted your arm. He started crying as soon as he heard you wail in pain, and the lecture from his mother didn’t help in the slightest. You subconsciously reached up to rest your hand on the scar as you tried to think of what you could say to him.
Katsuki leveled his head and looked up at you, and slowly reached his hand out, still crying quietly. For a second you didn’t know what he meant, but it soon clicked in your head and you took his hand in yours. you looked at him with teary eyes and signed, “How can i help?” He untucked his legs from his chest and moved closer to you. Then, before you could even register what was happening, Katsuki had his arms around your waist with his head on your shoulder. You froze, it had been quite some time since either of you had needed a hug like this. once your shock had subsided, you brought your hands to rest on his upper back and rubbed soothingly. He began to cry again, which then led to sobs just like they had before. You began to talk, whispering variations of ‘I’m here’ and ‘You don’t have to be scared’, only to remember that he probably can’t hear you. Seeing katsuki as vulnerable as this broke your heart, and single tear fell from your face. Katsuki could feel your jaw muscles moving against the side of his face, so he knew you were talking, but he couldn’t hear you. “I- i- i- I can’t hear! I can’t hear you! Y/n I can’t hear you, fix it please, please I hate this so much!” He screamed into your shoulder which luckily muffled it enough to not draw any attention from the neighbors. He gripped onto your waist tighter as he breathed long and hard breaths. “I’m so scared. I’m terrified of losing you.” He whispered. This had confused you so you gently placed your hands on his shoulders and put a bit of distance between you guys so he could see you signing. “What do you mean you’re gonna lose me? I’m not going anywhere.” You said and waited for his response. He brought his trembling hands up to start signing and began, “I’m scared that if i can’t hear you, I won’t hear you calling me for help when you’re in danger. What kind of hero am I if i can’t even save my best friend?” You took one of his hands in yours and began to sign with your other. “You’re gonna be okay, We’re both gonna get you through this. I know you, and you don’t take shit from no one. And I know damn well you’re not gonna let a little hearing loss get in the way of beating deku.” He laughed slightly at the last statement, and seeing his small smile was like the world coming off of your shoulders. “We’ll take you to the doctor, they’ll help you.” He shook his head at that and his angry glowering returned. “It’s not anything to be embarrassed about. And I’m sure your parents would do anything to help you become the hero you want to be.” You finished your monologue and squeezed his hand four times, promising him you’re not going anywhere. He smiled down at his hand and then brought his other one up to sign, “I love you shithead” and you signed back, “Yeah I know, I love you too Kat”.
He began to stand up and Katsuki pulled you up with him. He immediately pulled you into the tightest bear hug possible. No one knew, but Katsuki was the biggest hugger, and it was your favorite thing about him. You released your arms from his waist and he released his hold around your shoulders. You took the sides on his face in your hands, and pointed to your lips as a signal to read your words. He nodded his head, and in a volume Katsuki couldn’t hear, you said, “I can hear you, I can hear you.”. He nodded and smiled the most genuine smile you’d seen out of him in years. “You ready?” he signed, and you answered “for what?”. He smirked and was quiet for a few seconds before shoving you to the side a little and running off towards your house. “Race you!” he yelled, “First one there, is your mom’s favorite you loser.” Kat called again. You smiled and shook your head as you sprinted off after him, remembering this is the Katsuki that will be the #1 hero someday.

Yamato Nikaido RabbiTube Rabbit TV Part 1: Spending Time With Yamato
Part 2 | Part 3
Staff: …Now, on to the RabbiTube project.
Staff: Our plan is to introduce the videos by featuring clips on NEXT Re:vale!
Staff: We’d really appreciate it if you could show a side of yourselves that people don’t usually get to see on TV. It’s a pleasure to be working with you!
Momo: We’ve got high hopes for you guys!
Yuki: Feel free to fully expose yourselves to the public.
Mitsuki Izumi: Ahaha, please be gentle with us! Looks like I’m gonna have to do a RabbiTube study marathon..!
Gaku Yaotome: By the way, Tenn, I saw you watching RabbiTube videos the other day. Do you know any good ones?
Tenn Kujo: …I was just watching cat videos.
Gaku Yaotome: Cats, huh. That’s not gonna help us learn anything.
Ryunosuke Tsunashi: …I think they might help! You could learn ways to entertain and soothe people…
Gaku Yaotome: Ryu, not all of us are gonna be able to do that…
Yuki: …I’m liking the idea of Kitty Gaku.
Tenn Kujo: …Pfft…
Gaku Yaotome: Tenn, why’re you laughing!?
Riku Nanase: Kitties..! So could it be like a video of Iori going into a cat café?
Iori Izumi: Why do I have to go to a cat café!?
Yamato Nikaido: I’m not too excited about making videos like that, either…
Tamaki Yotsuba: I wanna do a pudding tasting!
Sogo Osaka: …Personally, I’d like to rank my top 100 spices from all around the world…
Nagi Rokuya: And I shall hold a Cocona watch party!
Mitsuki Izumi: You guys aren’t bringing anything new to the table!
Iori Izumi: …Actually, I suppose animal videos do have their appeal, despite how banal they are…
Riku Nanase: Did you say something, Iori?
Iori Izumi: No, nothing.
Momo: Ahaha! Great, you’re already brainstorming ideas!
Momo: You’ve all got the right idea! We wanna see you act natural for your RabbiTubes!
Yuki: Let’s have a fun year doing this.
IDOLiSH7 & TRIGGER: Yessir!
- - - -
Riku Nanase: We’re going to be RabbiTubers for our birthday project this year..!
Sogo Osaka: All the group chats up until now were fun, so it’s kind of a shame that we won’t be doing one this year.
Mitsuki Izumi: …Fair enough. It’ll be awesome to make videos for our fans, but I wish we could have our own celebrations too!
Yamato Nikaido: It’s become kind of a tradition by now.
Nagi Rokuya: …We do not work together as much as we used to. Though I understand that it is difficult to match all our schedules…
Tamaki Yotsuba: Do we not get to eat Mikki’s cakes this year?
Mitsuki Izumi: The cakes are the one thing we’re gonna make for sure! Right, Iori!?
Iori Izumi: Yes. I’ll help, too.
Riku Nanase: Hmm… Celebrations…
Riku Nanase: Ah! Why don’t we all go somewhere together for our birthdays?
Riku Nanase: I guess we probably can’t all go… But we can get our manager to arrange it so at least some of us can hang out!
Mitsuki Izumi: Going out, huh… That does sound like a nice change of pace from all the group RabbitChats!
Yamato Nikaido: It’s a shame that we won’t all be able to go, but getting to choose a spot does make it feel more special. …You should take me to a beer brewery, by the way.
Mitsuki Izumi: Sounds like you’ve already got one in mind!
Tamaki Yotsuba: Let’s take lots of pics and videos for the guys who can’t go. We can send them over RabbitChat.
Nagi Rokuya: OH! A wonderful idea. It will make us all feel as if we are there.
Iori Izumi: I’m sure uploading them to Rabitter would make many people happy, as well.
Sogo Osaka: That sounds fun..! Let’s ask our manager about it tomorrow.
Riku Nanase: Yep! …Looks like we’re going to have pretty fun birthdays again!
- - - -
Nagi Rokuya: Yamato, Sogo! This is my first time doing pottery!
Nagi Rokuya: Though I have witnessed a posture similar to that of someone doing pottery in interviews and such...
Sogo Osaka: Politicians and commentators often pose like that for articles about them.
Sogo Osaka: Sometimes, it's almost like they really were told to mimic sitting at a pottery wheel.
Nagi Rokuya: Indeed. Many anime producers also pose like that for interviews.
Sogo Osaka: Interesting... I didn't know that technique had spread to the anime industry, as well...
Yamato Nikaido: ...Uh... Do I get to participate in this conversation yet?
Nagi Rokuya: But of course, Yamato! We are here for pottery!
Sogo Osaka: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to babble like that.
Yamato Nikaido: ...I thought our work here in Kyoto was done, so why are we at a pottery studio, exactly..?
Tsumugi Takanashi: This was the only day before your birthday that was open in all of your schedules!
Tsumugi Takanashi: We've got plenty of time before our train home leaves, and Sogo-san and Nagi-san wanted to sculpt tea cups for all of IDOLiSH7!
Nagi Rokuya: Ceramics are the essence of Japan. Show me your national spirit!
Yamato Nikaido: My national spirit...
Sogo Osaka: I thought it'd be nice if we could eat and drink from cups some of us made ourselves, even when we can't all be gathered around the same table.
Yamato Nikaido: ...I guess you've got a point there. Let's do this, then.
Yamato Nikaido: We'll save the brewery visit I'd been hoping for for some other day.
Nagi Rokuya: OH, there you go again...
Sogo Osaka: Yamato-san, you'll make four cups and bowls, while Nagi-kun and I will make three and bowls cups each.
Yamato Nikaido: Oh, okay then. Roger that.
Tsumugi Takanashi: Wait... Isn't that three sets too many?
Yamato Nikaido: You didn't think we'd forget you, our president, or Banri-san, did you? We'll make some for you guys, too.
Tsumugi Takanashi: Huh..?
Nagi Rokuya: YES! That way, we can all have yet another celebration.
Sogo Osaka: I hope you'll come visit us often.
Tsumugi Takanashi: ...T-thank you..! I didn't mean to make you work so hard for your own birthday, Yamato-san...
Yamato Nikaido: It's fine. All I need in return is that you use the cup I made, and maybe also cook me a something special in return.
Nagi Rokuya: Yamato, you are spoiling the mood.
Yamato Nikaido: Hey, even I need a reward sometimes.
Sogo Osaka: Ahaha...
Tsumugi Takanashi: I-I'll just be over here with the camera! Well then... let's begin!
Nagi, Yamato, & Sogo: Yeah..!
- - - -
Yamato Nikaido: This is actually pretty difficult...
Sogo Osaka: It's hard to get the thickness right. I feel like the strength of my fingers is off somehow...
Nagi Rokuya: Look, Yamato and Sogo! Gaze upon these gentle curves!
Yamato Nikaido: Wait, you're making Cocona, not a tea cup!
Sogo Osaka: Y-you're incredible, Nagi-kun! How did you make those hearts..?
Nagi Rokuya: OH, this is a very basic sculpting technique. Allow me to show you.
Yamato Nikaido: I thought you'd be better at this sort of thing since you're so into DIY, Sou.
Sogo Osaka: I think I'll do better if someone shows me how it's done...
Nagi Rokuya: Sogo, you do it like this.
Sogo Osaka: Whoa... It's taking shape so quickly...
Yamato Nikaido: ...That's King Pudding, not a cup.
Nagi Rokuya: I shall leave the finishing touches to you.
Tsumugi Takanashi: They're a far cry from anything you could drink out of, but still very impressive..!
Nagi Rokuya: Feel free to take pictures, Tsumugi.
Tsumugi Takanashi: I am!
Sogo Osaka: I need to do this properly. It's important!
Yamato Nikaido: Just don't show any pictures of Sou's work to Tama.
Tsumugi Takanashi: I already sent one to him..!
Yamato Nikaido: Damn, I was too late... My bad, Tama.
Yamato Nikaido: ...So why am I the only one taking this seriously, again?
Nagi Rokuya: I will put my Cocona in the kiln with the cups!
Sogo Osaka: And I'll put in my King Pudding...
Yamato Nikaido: Ugh... Hurry it up, then.
Tsumugi Takanashi: ...Ah, Yamato-san, are you starting to get the hang of it? Your cups are all nice and even, with just the right thickness and depth..!
Yamato Nikaido: Haha. Thanks. I've always had kind of a knack for this stuff.
Yamato Nikaido: How long do we have to keep these in the kiln for?
Tsumugi Takanashi: After they're done in the kiln, they still need to air dry... Which should take about a month or so, all in all! They'll mail the finished cups to us once they're done.
Yamato Nikaido: Well, at least we won't have to come back for them.
Sogo Osaka: We should think of what we'll have from these when they arrive.
Nagi Rokuya: Let us discuss it in our group chat afterwards.
Yamato Nikaido: I'd go with ochazuke, it seems like a safe enough choice.
Sogo Osaka: I thought you might suggest that. Great idea.
Nagi Rokuya: OH! I would like to have a bowl of sushi rice!
Yamato Nikaido: Ah, that one does sound nice, too... I'm starting to get hungry.
Sogo Osaka: Ahaha, same here! Let's buy some quick souvenirs for the guys and go straight home after that.
Nagi Rokuya: I look forward to selecting my lunch box at the train station.
Yamato Nikaido: You sure do take your time with that stuff.
Nagi Rokuya: Eating on the train was not a part of my country's culture, so I was very excited to find out about Japan's train lunches!
Yamato Nikaido: Yeah, I can see why. A can of beer goes well with those.
Sogo Osaka: And it's fun to see which sorts of lunches are sold in different regions.
Yamato Nikaido: Sure is.
- - - -
Yamato Nikaido: ...Time flies by when you're talking about food.
Nagi Rokuya: Sogo and I have made three sets each!
Sogo Osaka: How did you like doing pottery, Yamato-san?
Yamato Nikaido: Haha... In all honesty, it was a ton of fun. You picked this place because you knew I'm not into big and fancy stuff, right? Thanks.
Yamato Nikaido: We should bring the rest of the guys here sometime.
Sogo Osaka: We should!
Nagi Rokuya: YES!
Tsumugi Takanashi: Thank you all for showing me your pottery skills..! Let me just take one more picture of you!
Tsumugi Takanashi: Say cheese..!
End of Part 1.
