ok so i was talking to @to-be-a-dreamer @tarantulas4davey and @carpe-diem-since-1899 about racetrack things the other day and i just thought i would dump some of those thoughts here bc i am So invested in this weird little guy

anyway i just ,, i have a lot of feelings abt jack passing the newsies onto racer once he ages out.

i feel like. charlie is the next choice, but charlie in my eyes is the same age as- if not older than- jack; if jack hadn’t been the leader of the newsboys, it definitely would have been charlie, but jack is the one who took the reins. (this age hc is mostly because of west endsies ngl.) anyway! moving on

jack and charlie have always been a team. charlie is definitely jack’s second in terms of always being there, but race is his second in terms of business- it only makes sense for race to take over when jack is gone, and i just,, i love the concept of race either not really wanting that or not really knowing how to handle that. i think, at his core, race is trying to hold onto whatever youth he has left. its why he’s always cracking jokes, despite how jaded and angry he is under the surface. he pretends not to care or else he’ll crack under the pressure, and when he cracks, it’s angry. it’s mean. his bark is as bad as his bite. so he puts on this front- this childish, snarky, comedic relief front- and he’s terrified of the implications of Being The Leader because he feels like he’ll no longer have that front to hold onto or hide behind. and it takes him a long time, i think, to realize that he doesn’t have to be exactly who Jack was- he can lead the newsboys how he sees fit, he doesn’t need to be a carbon copy of jack, because they’re fundamentally so different. and i think that is just very fun

but more on the anger, because i think it’s an interesting take that is very much represented in West Endsies- as @roideny and @jack-kellys have pointed out before:

i’m interested in the other newsies- especially albert, finch, and maybe spot- seeing that sadness and strain and anger that seems to be taking it’s place as his dominant trait. yeah. bc i think,, i think race is angry at his core, like i said. angry at his position in all of this. angry that jack left, that charlie followed, that davey was never staying in the first place, that spot still thinks of him as a kid instead of a new leader, that other burrough leaders don’t take him seriously because they know him as the jokester. angry that these kids are his kids now, and angry that his kids are still starving, still walking holes in their shoes, still shivering at night and still dying of sickness when the cold weather hits too hard. i want this race to be fucking pissed and i want everyone else to be caught off guard by it.

because, let’s be real, jack wasn’t the roughest leader. he was strong, and dependable, and not afraid to put kids in their place, but he’s still nurturing and parental. after years of being used to that, i think the newsies would struggle with Race for a while, especially as race tries to figure out his leadership style, and i think a lot of that would manifest in this anger that has been bubbling up under the surface for ages- the anger he never lets anyone see because he doesn’t want that.

race has spent anywhere from 5 to 10 years- depending on when you headcanon him to join the newsies- being the funny guy, the clown, the joker; if he’s going to earn respect, he’s going to have to take it from a few kids. lashing out and being brash- all for the sake of keeping everyone safe, of course- but he’s such a different leader than jack, and i think it would be SO fun to explore that more in post-canon works.

i feel like this post is a little disjointed and i may not be explaining things correctly, plus i haven’t actually seen west endsies yet! a lot of this is based on convos with the besties and i am just having brainrot. besties, feel free to jump in with any additions, and anyone reading this: feel free to send asks or talk in the tags <33

ok enough time has passed where I feel like I can talk now without worrying too much about everyone being spoiled. So here’s all my (unorganized. Written as I go but I’ve thought about this before.) thoughts about why I like the special dialogue between Milk and Dark Choco.

(Still going to tag it as spoilers though lmao)

Overall, this small piece of dialogue went as how I expected it to. Milk starts rambling (gushing.) about Young Prince Dark Choco’s portrait. Dark Choco gives awkward responses, which is understandable. There’s no indication at what point in time this interaction happens but it’s definitely at a point where Milk and Dark Choco only met recently and thus aren’t exactly used to each other yet.

Milk then tells Dark Choco about how he’s going to work to become strong like Dark Choco and this part, especially Dark Choco’s reaction/dialogue, is what makes me think.

What struck me the most is Dark Choco saying thank you.

1) Because honestly I was expecting a worse reaction tbh (I’m pessimistic)

2) Dark Choco always wanted to be a hero. He says it quite literally in both games. Young Prince Dark Choco talks about how he wants to save his kingdom. But it’s due to his heavy fuck up with the Strawberry Jam Sword that he becomes the exact opposite of what he aimed for and keeps himself in this role as the villain out of guilt. His quotes mention the sword and how it was the one major fuck up because a part of him definitely still wishes he could be one. But up until the end of Chapter 14, he has also heavily convinced himself that he is always destined to be a villain.

And that’s the important thing here: that he wasn’t always a villain. And we see that with Milk, who he saved while he was the Young Prince, and Caramel Arrow, who he mentored. They both regard him highly from their experience with him. Because of Dark Choco saving him, Milk resolves to become a hero like what he saw in Young Prince Dark Choco: someone who will protect others no matter the danger. And he is very serious about this and has worked super hard to become the paladin he is today.

I think Milk telling Dark Choco that Dark Choco is his main inspiration for why he’s a paladin (his tribe is for the most part not fighters) and working to be a hero like Dark Choco is bittersweet for Dark Choco. I think at this point, Dark Choco’s still pretty convinced that he doesn’t deserve to be one, but he does appreciate that his past actions inspired another person to walk a path that he really can’t.

If they had met each other before Dark Choco left the Cookies of Darkness, I was hoping that Milk would be able to show Dark Choco that it wasn’t too late for him. (Albeit, Dark Choco would still have to be the one to make that decision for himself because half of the battle would be Dark Choco actually believing anything Milk said.

Also, one last little bit. When Dark Choco visits the portrait alone, it goes also as I expect.

I like that he says “No one would want to see this” and he is very much proven wrong by the existence of Milk Cookie and Dark Choco Cookie’s dialogue.

I am going to shuffle around the order in which I answer because I have a plan for when they wake up and brainrot so strong I'm writing another 'short' thing for it. Hermitcraft is quite a bit more technologically advanced than Empires which provides a bit of a challenge for Ren when it comes to tinkering, but he figures it out soon enough. (he does this by taking apart so many of Fwhip's inventions. But don't worry he puts them back together again almost the same as he found them)

Ren is responsible for so many modern day appliances being reinvented, and if many of them are geared towards explosives? Well that's just the side effects of being around and encouraged by Fwhip. (That's what he tells H!Gem at least, he most likely would have made the explosives anyway.)

Ok so time for more writing, this time of Gem and Ren waking up, brought to you by the Count Of Monte Cristo soundtrack:

When Gem and Ren woke up it was to throbbing pain. Waking up at least somewhat sore wasn’t unusual, their wolves were pretty rough when playing, but this was more intense than it had ever been.

Sitting up had been painful and a quick check of their sides had revealed nasty bruises, leaving them with one question. What had happened to them?

They were still in the forest, so they luckily hadn't found their way to the nearby town they had seen, but they had clearly been in some kind of serious fight. Maybe someone had been camping or passing through? They just had to hope whoever they had encountered had made it away safely.

"Ugh, the most painful transformation since the first and it comes when we don't have any healing potions nearby, just our luck," Gem groaned, using a tree to support herself as she staggered to her feet. "I don't want to risk going near that base we saw just yet, if I hunt for some mushrooms and daisies for stew will you be ok here?"

Ren just nodded, not facing her, and Gem felt her heart sink as she stumbled away. She didn't know when, or even if, he would forgive her for dragging him away from Doc, but she knew she would do it again in a heartbeat. She didn't know what their plan for escaping the moon had been, but she had known she needed to keep her pack safe, even if it meant pulling him through a portal to who knows where.

She pushed the thoughts from her mind and focused on her task. They would have to talk about it at some point, but first they needed to heal.

She found the mushrooms fairly quickly, and after a bit more searching she spotted some oxide daises growing in a plains beyond the treeline. She wouldn't have any trees to lean on but she braced herself and stepped forward-

-only to slam into a barrier that shimmered purple briefly before fading back out of visibility.

She pounded against it, rammed into it with her shoulder, even tried digging under it, but it wouldn't budge no matter what. Ren leaned against a tree while he waited for her to come back, wincing as each breath sent a stab of pain through him. He was incredibly mad at her for dragging him through a random portal, but he understood her thinking and they had to stick together. There was no telling what the dangers of this world were, and they would just have to try and find a way back to the other hermits.

"Hello? Is anyone here?"

Ren's ears flicked to Gem's voice and he frowned, she knew exactly where he was. And the more he thought about it the more things he noticed were off. The words lacked the slight gruffness that she had gotten after being turned and they were much more refined than Gem had ever been, each carefully pronounced.

He hesitantly sniffed and instantly recoiled, there were a million little differences to Gem's while still smelling like her somehow, but there was one overpowering smell that he could only describe as wrong.

It reminded him of the nether, though he couldn't place exactly what in it, and it made him instantly worried. She had barely been gone five minutes, what happened to her?

"Gem, over here! You ok dude?"

But the person who came out from the trees wasn't Gem. She looked like her, sure, but there were so many differences and it set Ren on edge. Her antlers were smaller, and a dark brown instead of a lighter shade, she was wearing a long green dress and purple cloak that Gem would never wear, far too impractical for living in nature, and she was missing any traces of wolf.

But the most startling feature, the one that had Ren dragging himself to his feet and growling, was her eyes. Instead of Gem's regular soft green, they were a bright glowing red, and everything about them screamed malice, no matter how gentle her expression was.

"How did you know my name?" she questioned, and Ren's head tilted slightly in confusion. He opened his mouth to respond only for Gem, his Gem, to burst through the trees. She rammed into the other person and knocked her to the ground, keeping her pinned.

"Hunter," she growled out by way of explanation, glaring at Not-Gem. "I thought you hunters were above magic, are you so bad at your job that you had to use it or are you just a hypocrite?"

"I'm not a hunter!" Not-Gem protested, and Gem just glared harder.

"For some strange reason that's definitely not at all related to the barrier keeping us in the forest I don't believe you."

Her voice was heavy with sarcasm and Ren briefly wondered where she had gotten such personal disdain for hunters seeing as she hadn't gone anywhere she would have encountered them since being turned, but then his eyes drifted to her antlers and he understood.

"I swear I'm not, I'm the Grand Wizard of the Crystal Cliffs, the empire just beyond those mountains! I only sealed you in here because you were attacking my people and when I drove you out I needed to make sure you wouldn't come back!"

Gem reeled back and Ren let out a low whine. They had attacked people? She pushed herself up off the wizard and walked back over to him, leaning on him as the adrenaline left and made her lose what little energy she had left. The wizard stood up but made no move to attack, which they took as a small victory.

"I can see you're exhausted and clearly in need of some healing potions, so why don't you come back to my empire and we can talk about everything. Something is clearly going on, there must be a reason why you share my name and look so extremely similar to me, but we can work it out once you two have gotten some rest."

Neither of them made a move to follow her and after a beat she waved what looked to be some kind of magic staff in the air. They tensed in preparation for a fight, but paused when nothing seemed to happen.

"I just changed the ward, you'll now be able to leave the forest through the mountains at my kingdom. I promise I'm not a hunter, this isn't a trap. I just want to help and figure out what's going on."

Gem and Ren looked at each other, having an entire conversation in subtle gestures and facial expressions, before Ren turned back to the wizard.

"We'll go with you, but you heal Gem before we start answering questions." At a wack on his shoulder he amended. "You heal both of us before we answer questions."

She nodded before turning away and they followed her through the forest, hanging back enough to have a whispered conversation.

"I don't trust her," Gem hissed, glaring at the wizard's back. "I don't care that she's some version of me, something is wrong with her and I don't trust it."

Ren nodded, he'd noticed the same thing. Even without her scent being so off anyone would be able to look at those eyes and see something wrong.

"We need to follow her out of the forest at least, but after that we can run. Your choice on direction dude, I just want to get away."

"We go west," Gem said instantly. "I don't know what it is but nature is strong there. Stronger even than my base back home. It'll help us, I know it."

Gem had always been in tune with nature, even more so after getting turned, and Ren deferred to her judgement. The wizard turned back to them, probably to check they were still following, and he had to nudge Gem so she'd stop scowling.

They both felt it when they had passed the barrier, a feeling of being trapped they hadn't fully realised was there being suddenly removed. The wizard hadn't said anything, still walking ahead, and they took the opportunity to quietly slip off. A shout soon came from behind them and they picked up speed into a run. They heard the sounds of rockets firing overhead but an elytra wasn't much use in a dense forest. Suddenly Gem pulled him into a cave, and just in time too, as the wizard walked past, calling out for them. They held their breaths until she passed and her mutterings about someone named Xornoth were well out of their enhanced earshot.

Ren pulled a barely conscious Gem to her feet and supported her as they started walking again. He only hoped that whatever was west would be able to help them as much as she thought it would.

I had a plan, they were going to go with E!Gem and stay with her and I'd sprinkle in a bit of unreliable narrator with them getting told Xornoth was only there to help end the cursed winter but then SOMEONE *cough cough Vee* started talking about the Shrub interactions with the two and then somehow I got to them going to Katherine's. There will be lots of Shrub though by virute of nature wives <3

Ok so its Billy brainrot hours but if he isnt alive and it is actually just flashbacks of him living in Cali, and considering there's some stuff going on with time and Will possibly having some sort of powers, I want Will to have dreams about this blonde curly haired boy in Cali called Will (or William or Willy or all of them)

And this boy is sort of mommy's boy, and he's sensitive and creative and loves to surf but hates playing baseball and hates that his dad makes him do it and hates that his dad is calling him insults. And the father gets worse and worse and starts being abusive to William's mom and she tries to pretend its nothing but William although young, knows something is wrong. And then his dad starts to be worse for him too and William pretends its nothing when his mom asks. And William puts on loud music all the time because he hates hearing his parents fight downstairs. And he's never home and hanging around kids way too older than him that teach him how to smoke and drink. But there's still that goodness in him, it's not too late to turn back.

And then the big fight happens, plates being smashed, the mother leaving as Will screams for her not to leave her son, to take him with her because Will knows what happens a son and a father like that are left alone - it's all fists and insults and scars

But she doesn't come back and while Will had support and friends and Jonathan and his mom, William has no one good left in his life. No one to talk to or turn to or hug. The only familial contact he gets is when his dad pushes him around. And Will sees the anger and hatred and resentment in William grow and Will... sort of gets it. He understands where William is coming from - understands the fear, the uncertainty, the helplessness. And Will gets a bit of a vicious satisfaction from William beating up his bullies and breaking their noses because he wanted to do the same so many times - to just let go, to release all that anger in him. But his anger is not like William's, Will's anger grows and festers and spreads like vines under his veins. So Will lives vicariously through William, all of the self-destructive tendencies he didn't even know he had and it makes him feel powerful, that William, even though fairly short and lanky at the beginning, trains and gains muscle just so he can be strong and can protect himself and attack even though he feels helpless at home. And then there's the living through another aspect of William's life that Will represses in himself, but William explores it - that is his attraction to men. He kisses boys all the time, like he doesn't even care about the rest of the world.

But most of the time, Will feels sympathy. He feels for William and his bad experiences and wants to save him somehow, help him, steal him away from his abusive family to join his own.

And because of all the time travely shenanigans Will is able to reach William and become sort of friends with him. Which isn't perfect but it helps. William has this imaginary friend that is also called Will and lives in California and who hates his dad. They talk through the radio, or the lights flickering or maybe Will shows up as an actual ghost. And maybe William shows up in Will's life too, like ghost, flickeringcin and out of time. And William tells him when to hide when Will is running away from school bullies, or how to threaten a bully so it doesn't escalate into a fight. He teaches Will how to fight too, just in case. William hopes Will won't ever need it. But yeah, just in case. Teaches him how to use a switchblade and how to fight a bigger opponent.

So for the first few months of the Byers living in California, it's just that - William and Will, intertwined, imaginary friends, traveling back and forth in time, learning from each other and telling each other their deepest secrets - secrets they both share but can't tell anyone else. Because it all isn't real anyway, right?

Then one day, Will has the dream, the one that changes everything. Wiliam's dad calls him downstairs and there's a small red-headed girl in the living room, with her mother that has her hand in William's dad's hand. "William, meet your new sister. Her name is Maxine."

SO basically, I like to think about the weird and fucked up biology of the Giglio Nero ladies, right? Because Amano just straight up said to us: "Oh yeah, they are aliens that can see the future. Fucked up, right? Anyway"

But like, WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN AMANO. WHAT DO YOU MEAN SEPIRA WAS A DAMN ALIEN. YOU CAN'T JUST DROP THIS INFORMATION AND LEAVE IT LIKE THAT.

Uni, being part of the 10th generation, if we go by the logic of "whatever species Kawahira and Sepira were, they need to reproduce by sexual intercourse", it would mean that Uni herself is really not too much of an alien, but that the Alien Gene is strong enough that even diluded genes still give you future vision powers. Their species were dying, so if we go full on crack, Sepira's daughter could be full-on alien if she paired with Kawahira, but otherwise the other ladies had to get human partners.

HOWEVER, isn't the whole Giglio Nero thing just kind of... weird? Like, we see Luce being pregnant (meaning that they do be pregnant), but Aria managed to hide it enough so that even Gamma didn't know she had Uni? This kind of pregnancies happen, don't get me wrong, but it seems weirdly convenient that this could happen when she needed it. Not to mention, they are just too similar to one another! Yeah, KHR has that weird thing with reincarnation (hello Giotto & Tsuna) and same-face-families (hello Hibari & Fon and the entire Cervello), but none were shown to be as extreme as the Giglio Nero, because for all accounts, the Cervello are kinda made to be that way, but the Giglio Nero really... isn't. There is no need for them to look so similar to one another. Cervello has a reason to do so, the Giglio Nero does not.

So that weird gene thing going on, combined with me being mildly insane AND combined with a bit of a weird evidence leads me to one theory that the Giglio Nero is, in fact, a family led by weird mitosis-based people that can mimick human biology well enough and that has much shorter "pregnancies" period but it's still ther, but also short enough so Aria can fuck off for a month, give birth and come back no problemo

I do think that Sepira OG weird alien gene might have bled into the later generations, but more than that, I think it would be POSSIBLE (not canon, more into the realm of theories really) that Uni IS just straight up 100% alien BECAUSE they don't really mingle with humans genetically.

Now, I think that if we go by "they have weird and fucked up biology" route, I think that the type of immortality they would have is the "Hivemind" type.

Why? This is based on that panel where Uni says that "she loved Gamma like her mother did". This is weird, right? Obvs Aria could tell her that he loved Gamma, but the way the put it makes me think that is possible that the Giglio Nero can't pass information to their daughters like that, but strong emotions can go down to them no problem. It would be weird for Uni to love Gamma based on what we seen of them, but if Giglio Nero is essencially just "continuing" to exist in what would be different incarnations of the same person, it would make sense for that love to continue like it is.

Could also explain her maturity. She has all this baggage from other women, so she knows their kindness and their light, but she is still young and for the best, it would also be nice if she could ahve those experiences firsthand isntead of hand-me-downs, considering how she felt in her sacrifice during TYL arc.

SO BASICLY: Based on very little, I think that Uni is a little fucked up immortal in a chain of many people that not only share but fully understand her feelings, and even after she dies, she will still live on with her daughter because the Giglio Nero ladies continue to exist even after they have no physical body.

Ok first of all, bro,,, B R O, bro ilysm being able to infodump like this means so much to me for real. And second of all, this is gonna be very bullet point-e since I can't string a coherent sentence together to save my life. LET'S BEGIN:

Tropes and dichotomies

Yukichie has a bunch of romantic tropes, including but not limited to:

-Beautiful and popular genius falls for airhead jock outcast.

-Childhood best friends to lovers.

-Two girls fall in love but one girl's close minded parents (yukikos) disapprove and kick her out so she suddenly moves in with chie (this definitely happened i'm sure of it).

Now the dichotomies:

Fire and ice: I feel like I don't even have to explain why this is romantic so I'm just gonna jump straight into the evidence: Yukiko is the teammate with Agi and Chie is the one with Bufu, one of Yukiko’s themes is called “Snowflakes” and there's also the twin dragons special move.

Sun and moon: Might be a stretch but I really do think that Yukiko is the moon, silent, beautiful and graceful while Chie is the sun, energetic, bright and hot to the touch.

Shadows

Shadow Chie reveals that Chie developed an inferiority complex from constantly comparing herself to Yukiko (not surprising but aw :(), and part of this is her not feeling worthy of Yukiko and her company, bUT MEANWHILE YUKIKO HAS THE OPPOSITE PROBLEM WHERE SHE RELIES TOO MUCH ON CHIE,,, like shadow Yukiko literally says says to Chie “Chies my prince, she's a strong prince, or at least she was”, she hoped and relied on Chie to save her from having to take over the inn and having to stay in Inaba,,,,. ALSO WHEN SHADOW YUKIKO'S HEALTH IS LOW SHE SUMMONS A PRINCE SHADOW WTF, WTF WTF WTF, SHE STRAIGHT UP SUMMONS HER PRINCE, CHIE, WHEN SHE’S MOST VULNERABLE????? HELP???

And speaking of shadows, Chie is pretty calm when it comes to rescuing people from the TV world except for Yukiko, she goes absolutely APESHIT, says "You don't know SHIT about how I feel! Yukiko might DIE from this, for crying out loud! I'm going, and that's that!" before running HEADFIRST INTO A MONSTER INFESTED PALACE WITHOUT A PERSONA OF HER OWN,, TRUE LOVE RIGHT THERE BABY. She also almost single handedly beats up a whole ass police station for even suggesting that Yukiko was involved in the murders.

Color theory

I'm a huge rwby fan so colors is definitely gonna have its own section IFSFNS. Anyways, in color theory, colors that are on opposite sides of the color wheel are considered complementary colors, and guess what the most used example for this? Green and red! Green and red always pop out when they're next to each other, and color is very important in p4 (for various reasons but a big example is how all the students at school wear dull colors except for the investigation team, they're just full on power rangers), so id like to think that making Yukiko’s and Chie’s colors the prime example of complementary colors was something intentional made to remind you of how well they work together.

Also: Chie “wow yukiko red looks really good on you” yukiko, twirling her hair “haha thanks do you mind if i wear it for the rest of my life-”. Also side note I’m 100% sure that Rio’s favourite color is red because it reminds her of Hamuko <3.

Comphet and obliviousness

It's very obvious that like, everyone’s in the investigation team suffers from comphet, especially considering their reaction to Kanji coming out (which is, something), but I'm only gonna talk about yukichies; first of all this whole scene screams of comphet, no one just gushes about their friend THAT much:

Also, Chie disapproves of all of Yukiko's suitors cause she's subconsciously jealous, Chie is 100% a baby lesbian cause shes literally like: “haha im not a lesbian, I just cut my hair short and mostly hang out with guys because then I’ll be more masculine and men like girls so-aw shit”.

Also, Inaba is a breeding ground for comphet because it's a rural town in the middle of nowhere in a town where most of the popuñation is old so,,,yeah,,,.Yukiko feels like her only option in life is to take over the Amagi inn and follow in her family's footsteps, which would in turn be like rotting away in Inaba, so I like to think that the Amagi inn is some sort of metaphor for how being yourself is key even though it can disappoint your parents by making you stray from the path they paved for you, but that’s still an important step to take to become a better person and being true to yourself. Now that isn't very different from coming out now is it?

Official art and others

-Yukiko’s and Chie’s designs inspired Tomoe Tachibana and Maria Torres from Trauma Team and they’re hella gay

-Yukiko and Chie are next to each other or side eyeing each other when the other isn't looking in 99% of the official art they're in, I wonder why that is-. Also if  you look through Chie’s gallery 90% of her photos include Yukiko and vice versa.

-Everyone in Inaba knows that Chie and Yukiko are practically dating cause some bullies literally threaten Chie with hurting Yukiko saying stuff like “that precious Yukiko-san of yours” and “So don't you care about what happens to your loved ones” LIKE HELLO???

-Chies social link? oh you mean the yukichie social link right? No but seriously like Chies social link revolves around Yukiko NANFFGGW

-Yukiko’s theme in p4u is “princess Amagi” and shadow Yukiko calls Chie her prince, coincidence? ABSOLUTELY NOT. 

Fun headcanons and random stuff

-Chie definitely short circuited for a full ten seconds when she saw Yukiko in a yukata for the first time

-I'm sure that when the investigation team meets up like 20 years after p4 they'll be like “wait Yukiko you've been living with Chie for years?? did you get married?” Yukiko and Chie who haven't even started dating officially “no?? what are you talking about- WAIT.”

-Yukiko and Chie: *adopt three cats and a dog and call them their children*, also yukichie “we’re just really good friends :)))”

-Yukiko and Chie definitely made out with each other a couple of times using the excuse of “were practising for when we have boyfriends”

In conclusion, yukiko and chie have the type of love where they've known each other for so long and care for each other so deeply and passionately that they don't need to search for a significant other because deep down they've always known they were each others. They've always pictured the other in their life from beginning to end but have yet to put together that they want to be in each others life romantically because of comphet and just, never really seeing each other as an option because they've just always been friends, nothing more nothing less. franziska and maya both have ... TRAUMA. the way they deal with it is very alike and very different. both of them bottle it up and try to stay strong. but when something happens to maya, she acts like its all chill. everythings ok. shes okay. she acts fun and upbeat so that nobody can see anything is wrong. she keeps it to herself. franziskas way of bottling it up is she hardens herself. she doesnt let anyone touch her or get through to her. she acts rude and abrasive so that nobody can see anything is wrong. she keeps it to herself. tho i would say maya is better at hiding her true emotions abt these things... as like i said franziska has many outbursts. also, franziska hasnt really had much of a support system. she has edgeworth, sure, but im sure as soon as she hit 12 years old her pride got too high to talk to him about anything like that. maya has usually had someone to depend on and talk to. she had mia, then mia died, but then she had phoenix and she has pearly and she has some of the individuals shes met on her escapades! she does have people to talk to... she just doesnt. but unlike franziska its not because of pride i think she just doesnt want others to worry for her
