uh yes this was my old tgs headcanon world if you recognise these from that hi. but i kind of got out of tgs a bit due to personal reasons so i grabbed the previous headcanonned characters and flipped them upside down and made them into their own thing outside of tgs. i think i did a good job? i didnt really want to associate them with tgs anymore so i just took every creative turn that squirmed itself into my head. and it helped that my previous tgs headcanon world strayed really far from the og in the first place and was kind of already its own thing. so yeah i kind of like what i have so far im pretty happy with it . i really like uttersons character so far and im excited to start on emma and lucy [my hatred for the j&h musical has fuelled me to make my own version of them] im especially excited for emma i have so many ideas for her character and just. ideas to actually make her even a character and not just a plot role for jekyll. i love you emma you deserved so much better ill give you a gun and make you a werewolf and everything you deserve everything cool and awesome babygirl !!!! ill even give you a cool spiked jacket that your girlfriend gave you!!!! everything for you !!!!

basic story plot for this side of the story [since the story is split across multiple perspectives and these are just some of the many] uhhh jekyll goes crazy and fully stays transformed as hyde and falls into really bad habits and addiction as hyde . it starts small at first but when lanyon dies it hits the tipping point and they fully give up on trying. jekyll is considered dead due to being missing for a good chunk of months and hyde inherits the stuff from the will and takes over the life their previous persona had [very messily though since hyde is a complete wreck right now]

meanwhile utterson in the background is fully loosing her mind in depression [thinks he lost her two only friends. fair enough] but one day sees jekyll in the street running even though jekyll has been considered dead for like months by then. utterson then gets real bad tunnel vision on finding jekyll and dedicates everything to finding jekyll. spends all her time locked in her room just looking for leads. drops her job and everything to dedicate herself to this. his main lead and who he has to team up with to find jekyll?: hyde [said person very much so not wanting to team up with utterson due to who theyre hunting but only does it because theyre still clinging to and missing some of the old parts of their previous identity as jekyll with one of those parts being their old friendship with utterson] anyways they basically go on a big little detective goose chase until utterson gets pissed at hyde after figuring out some stuff and they fight and split off from eachother and hyde like gets kidnapped immediately after that because lets be real nobody really likes that guy they have so many enemys. what a loser

oh and yeah uh lanyon gets brought back to life frankie style and just becomes a minion for this guy kind of. im still developing them. basically theyre hunting hyde though because same as everybody they think hyde killed jekyll . and lanyon kind of lost their marbles from the whole getting brought back process and lost a lot of their memorys. ok guys cmon literally all my lanyons are sweethearts who just so happen to be friends with insane people [utterson and hyde] i deserve to make a adaptation where all 3 of them are equally insane. ok. i deserve it for all the normal lanyons ive made.

i wanted to make jekyll really creepy and also affected by the soul split thing and not just hyde so jekyll is kinda weird in this one. he looks younger in some images and thats done on purpose . when hes being creepy he looks younger. uh i have a doodle of what he looks like when hes getting 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 and being very not normal . im not adding it. to the main post because i dont like the art it looks STINKY !!!

Ok, ok, ok! Im currently ill so my minds a little bit scattered and I woke up really late today because I needed the rest, so im posting this a little late but oh my hod!!

Ok, ok ok ok! So!

Hyde is having the same problem Jekyll did before he passed out and I think this could mean 2 things.

When Jekyll was having this issue Hyde was going into the back of the mind, which is exactly what Jekyll is doing right now trying to erase himself, does this truly make it so Hyde will die with Jekyll?

Now now, Lyn wonders if Jekyll is wanting to kill Hyde but I don’t believe he does. I think Jekyll wants Hyde to suffer but he made his intentions seem very clear. He wanted Hyde to go mad without him as he is sent to Jail because of the crimes he’s committed in the past. Also I don’t think Jekyll knows that he’s possible of killing Hyde.

Fritz beought up that Sage said that if Hyde dies then Jekyll will go back to normal. But that might not have the same effect on Hyde.

Hyde stems from Jekyll and the only reasoning why Jekyll was affected before was because Hyde was pulling him down. Forcing Jekyll to go with him which Jekyll isnt trying to do to Hyde.

Hyde isnt an organic human, but just a product of Jekyll, and it brings up if the host (Jekylls body/Jekyll) dies then what will it do for Hyde’s life. Jekyll most likely dosent know he’s killing Hyde by killing himself but it is just a side effect

But I would also argue that it might not be, for one, when it was happening to Jekyll it was way worse, he was grabbing his chest in pain and was barley even able to stand, Jekyll is the host body who wouldn’t have died if Hyde did, so shouldn’t it be 10 times worst for Hyde?

It also brings up Hyde’s anxiety, in this moment hyde is scared from being left alone and is terrified that Lanyon has found him like this. The pounding of his heart could be a start of a panic attack instead of a sign that Jekyll is killing him.

Either way, a full blown Panic attack would be an interesting thing to see Hyde experience in front of Lanyon and show how more of an exposure to to the real world is effecting him. If Hyde is going to die from Jekyll, I dont think it’s happening just yet

Ok ok! Now to the dialogue

Hyde trying to still show he’s tough even though it’s obvious in his face he’s lost, scared, panicked. He’s keeping up his persona but he looks like he is going to break soon.

He is just as emotionally vulnerable as Jekyll and he needs his reputation as much as Jekyll desires his

ALSO LANYON TREATING HYDE AS A PERSON FINALLY???? He seems to have accepted that Hyde and Jekyll are the same person, bringing up a memory he had WITH JEKYLL while saying YOU to hyde.

While Jekyll and Hyde arent the same people, it is a start. It’s almost like he’s trying to reach out to Jekyll in Hydes mind, but Jekyll may be far to gone

Haha, oh Jekyll would, now now, before we get into the story it makes me wonder if Lanyon thinks this was Jekyll’s Hyde showing which is why he brought it up, he dosent exactly know what part of Jekyll he was always talking to.

I do find it interesting how Jekyll has changed from back them, not fully, he was still desperate to get people to aprove of him, a people pleaser at heart. Yet now, Jekyll is a lot more willing to let a “little” lie slide under the rug if it means he can still keep his reputation up.

He is still a people pleaser and seeing it when he was younger shows why he decided to remove Hyde from himself.

Also jekyll is literally on his knees begging for this simple chance that Lanyons parents wont even find out about, he is truly just desperate to be liked and accepted.

Lanyon is really smart, as seen, but is holding himself back because he wants it to seem that he dosent need his fathers approval or attention but is instead is proving how much his father floods his mind.

He’s not doing this for himself, he is doing it to spite his father, trying to go against Him, not because he dosnet care about school or what people think, but instead Because he cares too much. He is trying to trick himself into thinking it dosnet Matter but it does matter to him what his father thinks.

Also Jekyll being so scared of being called a monster shows how even from the beginning he didn’t like the hyde part of himself and how he really just wanted to be accepted, he doesn’t want to be perceived as a monster even after all of these years he just wants to be liked

This story of the past dosent seem to be over yet so we’ll have to wait until next week for the rest

Brazilian ghouls✨ Part 1

(This is more like history and miscegenation lesson)

And this is a very, very long post

I'm really bad at this kind of thing (I'm actually not smart), but I really like my country and ghouls, soo, here we go

• Ok, Let's start with vital points, Brazil was a major distributor of coffee throughout the world for a long time and thanks to colonization our culture is extremely mixed, as most families have several descendants from different nationalities such as: Portugal, Africa, Japan, Italy, Germany, Dutch, Lebanon, between others, and of course a very rich and explored culture and diverse villages of original peoples that to this day are treated as if they did not exist

• Anyway, my main point is that here, it is extremely common to have multiple ethnicities and nationalities mixed in the blood. And this would be no different with ghouls

• I'm almost certain that the population of mixed-race ghouls in Brazil would be higher than anywhere else on the planet.

�� First, following @tg-headcanons 's headcanons, before colonization, some indigenous villages which were found far from the coast and more in the center of Brazil (Jes) were able to coexist peacefully with ghouls, and since that time, there were already mixed relationships

• The villages were independent of each other, so there were also ghoul-only villages

• As Brazil greatly developed planting and agriculture, that the original people were capable of making recipes, using feasts from bodies collected in battles with rival villages, and specific recipes that used methods to make tubers edible for ghouls, such as cooking in blood, they also used breast milk, bones, and locks of hair in recipes or in consumption

• The ghouls attacked people from rival tribes, and the mixing of species began with marriages and unions between villages, to establish peace.

HgbA1c 5.7%-6.4% is prediabetes

HgbA1c 6.5% is diabetic

Normal HgbA1c 4.8-5.6% is normal

DM: A1c 6.5%, BG 126, random BG >200 with symptoms

The A1c has to be a lab draw in order for you to use it to make the diagnosis. So a POC HgbA1c doesn’t count to make the diagnosis.

Screen everyone age 40-70 who are overweight or have risk factors; younger than 40 and obese with risk factor; screen q1-3 years. Risk factors: HDL<35, TG >250, depression, on atypical antipsychotics, high risk populations (non-white), OSA/sleep issues, HIV+ for 15+ years on meds. Old HIV meds caused endocrine issues. Newer HIV meds don’t unless they’ve been on them for a long time.

You don’t need to be fasting to check HgbA1c. Not covered as screening by CMS. A1c not accurate in GDM, renal failure, anemias, renal failure, liver disease.

Prediabetes: 5-7% weight loss will cut the risk of progressing to diabetes by 1/2! Moderate exercise: of 150 minutes a week (e.g., brisk walking 3+ mph), water aerobics, bicycling 10 mph or less, tennis (doubles), gardening—OR 75 minutes of vigorous intensity exercise a week.

Metformin started in prediabetics decreases progression by 31%! Shown to decrease CVD risk. Works best for BMI>35. Metformin can cause low B12. We should use “med monitoring” code annually in pts on metformin. Diarrhea is a common adverse effect. If pt can’t leave the house because of the diarrhea, try the extended release form.

GLP1 agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors could be used in prediabetics. It’s in the works.

If A1c of 9 and BG >200, you will have less fatigue, polyuria, blurred visions, skin infections.

A1c <7.5 à improved quality of life and increased productivity at work

Goal A1c is <7%

Tighter control in younger pts is ok.

Older pts can have A1c goal of 8.0%; avoid hypoglycemia and side effects of increased meds.

Metformin and lifestyle modifications are first line management.

You can start with something other than metformin, but insurance might not cover it.

DM education can help drop A1c by 0.6% or more. WDH and PRH have diabetes education classes.

Diabetic Benchmarks/Screenings:

Statins! All diabetics over 40 should be on moderate to high intensity statin. Under 40 if additional CVD risk factors.

Pts with DM have increased number of small LDL particles which tend to be more associated with ASCVD.

DM is the leading cause of CKD. Check urine microalbumin yearly. ACE/ARB is HTN and proteinuria, urine Cr >300. Go yearly for dilated eye exam. DM is the #1 cause of blindness in the US.

Nerve damage causes the fat pad on the sole of the foot to move, leaving decreased cushioning which predisposes to diabetic foot ulcers. Foot exam should be every visit if loss of sensation. Should do a foot exam annually. Check the skin, document hammer toe, charcot foot, bunion, pes planus.

Get an Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) if you cannot palpate a pulse. Get Toe Brachial Index (TBI) if ABI is not accurate.

Document presence of diabetic neuropathy. Assess for B12 deficiency, TSH, metals, etc.

Metformin, statin, annual vision screen and urine microalbumin, foot exams, diabetes education.

Sulfonylureas (e.g., glipizide) have no long-term benefits, cause hypoglycemia.

i really like how each of the chums have such distinctive voices. GG is super bubbly, TT is very dry and verbose, and TG has this like, abrasive (albeit not bad-natured i think) uber-bro vibe going. John definitely feels like an everyman a bit compared to the rest of the cast, especially with how delightfully weird his father is, but i don't mean that to say that he doesn't have any personality tho. he just definitely seems like the best protagonist to see the world through
