Ok but Dead Fast: Night of the Living (2002) has no business being considered the worst Dead Fast movie when the MCU (Murder Cinematic Universe) not only retconned his origin story to make him a virus zombie rather than a curse zombie (which throws off his entire arc about being something more than his deeds!) The Experiment | Part 2

In case y'all missed it, I asked one of my best friends to watch Stranger Things and here's what she had to say about season 1 and 2 .

Now, here's the updated version of season 3 that she finished so fucking fast and I felt guilty because she told me didn't sleep because she was desperate for answers, my sweet summer child.

This time around she'd update me as she watched the episodes and needless to say I woke up today with way too many messages

She's 100% convinced that Mike is gay because she said and I quote: "What teenage boy takes off the hands of his girlfriend like he did?".She also said that Mike should remember that friendships are important too, she doesn't understand why he's avoiding his friends and focusing too much on El.

She loves Max Mayfield BTW (again, sweet summer child). She 100% agrees that El needs to learn how to be herself without the influence of others.

She said that the biggest problem she has with Mike and El is that El didn't even know what a friend was the first season, how can se be in a relationship? However, she does think that if Mike learns how to listen to her they might work it out but she's not sure they should. "Ok I guess they're not going to work it after all" says her after their break up. Also, she was like: "shouldn't he be more upset about this?

In comes the rain fight scene and I think the conversation deserves to be in a mural somewhere. This is what she said and I apologize for the language and for how she talks about Mike but this deserves to be translated in it's entirety because her rant was epic.

"Why. The. Fuck. Was Mike being such an ass?! He used to be so sweet to Will and now he's treating him like this? Hell nah! Like, I get that he wants to spend time with his girlfriend and that's fine, but that doesn't mean he gets to treat Will like this!

And who the fuck said anything about Will not liking girls? Will didn't! So why the fuck would Mike say this completely unprovoked? Like, this is the kind of shit Will's bullies would say! I don't know who the fuck this Mike is, but it's definitely not the kid from last season.

"Oh se he goes to apologize to Will but doesn't apologize to El?" She asked me after she calmed down from her seething rage. "Inch teresting"

"Oh boy, Billy is gonna die. Am I supposed to want him not to?".

"How the fuck did Soviet Union manage to build this entire lab underground without anyone noticing? And this is I'm thr hight of cold war too, makes no sense but what do I know?"

She absolutely adores Robin, she thinks she and Steve will get together.

"Am I supposed to feel bad for Billy?" Needless to say, she doesn't like Billy.

"What. The. Fuck. Am. I. Watching?" She asked during the people turning into slush scene.

"Oh. So I guess Robin and Steve won't get together after all" lmao I laughed.

"Oh they do want me to feel sorry for Billy, huh"

She had a mental breakdown over Hop's "death". She sent an invoice crying and cursing me for bribing her into watching the show.

She also noticed how unresponsive Mike acted after El told him she loved him and was like: "is this boy ok? Like, I'm sorry Bia (my nickname) but you're telling me he just stood there with his eyes opened while she declared her love and kissed him? Am I watching this right? Answer me dammit!" (She was angry when I refused to tell her anything lmao).

Now, bare in mind that I haven't told her about Byler at all, didn't even tell her I ship it because I wanted her to be as unbiased as possible. She told me she had thoughts/theories and I told them to share them even after she claimed she didn't think she was right.

This bellow are her thoughts and hers alone, translated from Brazilian Portuguese to English.

"I just feel like Hop's letter is telling us something about Mike, maybe? Like, how he's afraid of change, of confronting his feelings, maybe? Like, I know you won't tell me, but I don't think this scene is about El leaving at all, I think it's about Will leaving.

"But I have a theory? I don't know, but the scene parallels the scene from when they find Will's body, right? But he comes home and holds his mom and I think this when he realized he has feelings for Will? Maybe? Or at the very least he realized he isn't straight.

" I didn't think Will was gay until I saw his reaction to what Mike said, and I think Will felt that he was stupid for believing that Mike cared for him at all. He destroyed the castle because he lost his childhood, he lost everything when he wasn't even looking, and I also think he called himself stupid because he thinks it was stupid of him to hope Mike could ever think of Will that way.

"I don't think Mike truly loves El, and he's coming to terms with the reason why he doesn't"

She then begged me for information which I refused to give her, obviously. But this is part 2. Now onto the last season *laughs maniacally *

Undertale Sans - Sadly, he's not a very brave skeleton and he prefers to give up. So either you tell him or that will never go further. He tends to give up easily when there's difficulty on the way. But he will be very glad to know your feelings are the same though.

Undertale Papyrus - He would. Scream his feelings. While your friend is flirting with you. Because he can't take it anymore and your friend doesn't get the message when he tries not so discreetly to have alone time with you. Now you know. And they know. Ok, maybe he was a bit too fast with this, but he's impulsive sometimes.

Underswap Sans - He's maaaaaad. He's so jealous he's vibrating. He's good at charming people but he's not very good at telling them what he thinks. He prepares his confession long ago but every time he tries, your stupid friend gets in the way. So yeah, he might have break his car so you don't show up one day so he can confess to you lol. He regrets it. ... No, actually. He really doesn't.

Underswap Papyrus - He's devastated honestly. He's too shy to show he exists and that he has feelings so he's just.... Staying there. Looking at your friend flirt with you. Slowly dying inside. He's not even sure you like him back so he's resigned to just watch you fall in love with your friend. That's it until Blue notices and breaks your friend's car, and then locks you two into his house so Honey has nothing to do but talk to you lol.

Underfell Sans - He's definitely going to threaten your friend as soon as you're not looking. Red is very jealous and exclusive, and he really doesn't like how your friend is clearly seeing how he feels but still trying their chance. They might fight in the mud if it escalates further. Red is not really good at the confess thingy so it's the only way he knows to show you he cares.

Underfell Papyrus - Your friend keeps taunting him, but that's fine. When you're not here and your friend tries to tease him about how they're not going to give him any chance, Edge just laughs at him and says with a very condescending tone that they're clearly not playing in the same court, which makes your friend gasp in offense. Edge doesn't see your friend as a menace at all. He just waits for the good moment to tell you how he feels and watches your friend die inside.

Horrortale Sans - If he has feelings, he says it out of nowhere in the middle of a random conversation. Oak doesn't really care about your friend, chances are he didn't even notice they're flirting with you because he was too focus on you. Bonus point if it happens while your friend is flirting with you lol. He doesn't care at all.

Horrortale Papyrus - He can't rival your friend :( He knows he's not a gift with all his problems and maybe it's better if he buries his feelings for you and lets you have your fun with your friend. He doesn't want to be a burden. He's too full of insecurities to take the first step. He's too old for this :( Make the first step, please, he thinks he's not worthy.

Swapfell Sans - If you know Now a little, you can tell how annoyed he is about your friend. He answers only with short answers, his eyes are throwing daggers and he's trying all he can to make your friend understand he should leave now, getting more and more ironic and mean as the minutes pass. He wants to confess, he really wants to confess, but right now he's going to explode if your friend doesn't get the message soon. He's steaming.

Swapfell Papyrus - Oh, it's fine. Since your friend doesn't get the message, he starts to flirt with your friend very insistently until they get uncomfortable and leave earlier lol. Rus has no shame, and he's quite proud of himself. Now he can finally have some alone time with you. He's not good at confession though, but he needs a little more time for this.

Fellswap Gold Sans - Oh, he doesn't care. Wine is a big tsundere so, you know, he didn't realize he has feeling yet and will push you because your friend flirt with you. You're going to need another way to reach him lol. Good luck with that, he's not going to make it easy at all.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's so uncomfortable every time your friend is talking to you, but he doesn't know how to show it. So every time your friend talks to you, he's running to hug you and get some attention, clinging to you with all he has to distract you from your friend's flirting. He doesn't know how to confess, he just knows he doesn't like when your friend is flirting with you.

KJSDBVDKJFBV trying to get me #canceled i see i see /jkjk

i kind of only have one really Hot Take i guess (i have an uncountable amount of opinions but those have been said before by myself or others, or are just... yknow. vibes and feelings and preferences), and it's that:

gege is a character writer, specifically with an emphasis on character relationships (mirrors, foils, family, [perceived] romance, etc.), but he is not particularly skilled at plot (and specifically seems to struggle with balancing story within the plot), and i think a lot of the current animosity towards jjk would not exist if he had really buckled down on and maintained the level of character-centered storylines that we got at the beginning.

i will elaborate under the cut bc i don't think everyone needs or wants to read my thought processes KJSDBVJKDBV

jjk, in my opinion, has a very clean dividing line that is Everything In The Beginning and then Everything Post-Shibuya. up to the end of the shibuya incident, the story is character-driven (though a bit fast-paced, it still manages) and has a very clear and defined goal (not for the characters, though they also have their own motivations, but for the plot): get yuuji to eat all of the sukuna fingers, and then execute him. obviously a story has to story, so there are antagonists getting in the way, and there are underlying themes and actions that make that goal more heartbreaking, but it is laid in stone right away that there is no happy ending here (yuuji will die) and the best we should hope for is happy memories along the way, while the best we can hope for is the characters figuring out a way to get around this doomed reality. we had a great main cast and a through-line for the plot and, most importantly, circling themes of character/relationship mirrors, cycles in general, and the connecting thread between power and a severing or loss of humanity (which all created a story).

there's a reason so many readers are unhappy with the culling game arc and the sukuna fight, and i think that reason is the really hard pull away from characters being able to drive the story (it's a little bit about pacing too, i think, because the culling games were long and boring, and the sukuna fight has equally been long and predictable). i truly think the worst mechanical decision gege made for jjk was separating the main cast during the culling game arc. it created a "need" to introduce a million new (pointless) characters, and all it did was underline and emphasize that character (as a writing tool) doesn't actually matter to the story anymore.

like objectively it's not... bad. there is (probably) a plot that he's following, and he (probably) has an end-goal in mind and a conclusion that he is gunning towards. he is maintaining continuity and wrapping up loose threads that were mentioned in previous chapters. things are linked. but like.... it's just so, so hard to care about what's happening in the plot right now because A) so much tragedy based around characters we don't know has only made me exceptionally numb to everything gege decides to do now, and B) we the audience have been seated next to the narrator instead of next to yuuji or gojo or yuuta or whoever. it's soooo drawn back, it's so far away from character. and i think that was just.... a really bad decision.

anyway, i think, all else equal, jjk would be on better footing right now if gege had decided to maintain the writing from Pre-Shibuya and stick to a character-driven plot. at least all of the carnage would mean something, then 🤷

Well.... Wolverine Revenge #3 sure was... something. I think the best way to describe what I read was disappointing. Even though I knew the way the fight was going to end up, the whole thing was so completely unsatisfying and fast-paced it wasn't even funny. About the only thing I can't complain about is the artwork. I have to wait a few more days for my Red Band issue to come in the mail, but from what I read in the regular issue, I don't think we're going to get treated to anything better than what we got.

The whole thing started off fine enough, I can't find too much to complain about on the first two pages. It's what happens after this that makes my blood boil.

The first thing is once again, Hickman doesn't seem to understand Arkady’s powers at all. OMEGA RED DOESN'T SPREAD DISEASES!!!! Seriously. His death factor should not be this hard to understand. Did the man ever read a comic featuring Omega Red before he included him, or did he only ever read about the Omega Clan?

The second thing is the snapping of Arkady’s Carbonadium coil. It's so annoying to see that trope continually used when people fight Arkady. His coils are INDESTRUCTIBLE. It may not be quite the same as adamantium, but Carbonadium should NEVER snap like this. It bothers me to no end that writers will do this because they can't seem to comprehend what "indestructible" means when it comes to Carbonadium. Unbreakable means unbreakable. You can't destroy it. It doesn't matter if you have adamantium or not. An indestructible object still can't break another indestructible object no matter how hard you try.

The way the fight ends here too is soooo unsatisfying. We learn in just a few pages that the area is experiencing nuclear fallout every 20 minutes. You're telling me that Arkady can survive that but not survive being strangled?? Ok. Whatever. It's clear Hickman doesn't understand Arkady has a healing factor just as powerful as Logan’s (if not stronger, since he can steal Logan’s life energy, which the writer seems completely unaware of) and that this should be something that is easily survivable for someone like him (he's literally been shown to survive far worse). But they won't have that happen. Instead, my guess is they're going to have Sabretooth return in a later issue because we were never shown his death, and the title card doesn't say that Creed died, only that he got "depowered." I imagine the Omega Clan will be with him, serving as Arkady’s replacement in the series.

All that this tells me though is that Logan couldn't finish the job with Sabretooth despite being shown to have been given an extremely convoluted way to beat him, and yet none of the same consideration was given on how he could have logically beat Omega Red without ignoring every single one of his abilities?? This was so one-sided and really unfair to those of us who actually expected and wanted a better fight that actually had some real back-and-forth before the final blow. And the fact that Omega Red was taken out by such a simple attack makes it even worse.

I don't like ranting about this, but this story was so disappointing on so many levels. It doesn't hold up to criticism at all, and the deaths all come off as incredibly cheap and unearned. I was hoping for a real fight. Instead, what I got was a one-sided "conflict" that ignored everything about Omega Red and his abilities to make it work.

But hey, at least the art was good. I'm sure die-hard Wolverine fans who don't care about getting a logical win will love seeing such a ridiculous "battle."

Random Rambling pt.3

Soooo hey... been a while, here is another rambling: I just saw a trailer for a movie called "The Crow" and from what I could gather from the trailer it seems to about a guy who fall in love with a girl, they have a fast love-sick relationship, it's however gets cut short went some bad people break in and kill the both of them seemingly because of some connections the girl had to either a criminal organization or the underground, basic gist though they're both dead. Here's the interesting thing the guy comes back because of the rage and regret he felt causing him to have unfinished business, so the rest of the movies is him going after the people and killing them but the thing that makes this even more intriguing is the fact that because he already died and came back with unfinished business, he can't die until he finished what was started meaning ever time he dies he come back seconds before his last death. OK you with me, Good here's where my idea comes in what if someone had a story about this but using the characters from Nevermore( and for those who don't know what Nevermore is, it's a Webtoons comic following this two characters Lenore and Annabel Lee as they navigate the after life in a school called Nevermore where they and other students are forced to fight for a second chance at life while also piecing together their past) specifically Lenore and Annabel Lee. Wouldn't that be so cool seeing our main girls in these roles, like Lenore coming back to hunt down the people who killed both her and her beloved. Hell even the guy has a connection with crows just like a certain someone we know.

Atara look back and forth between the two men. She couldn’t tell what they were thinking. She could find out but preferably for her headache she wouldn’t.

“I don’t want to fight you.” Atara raised her hands into the air as a type of surrender. The men were obviously still ready for a fight.

“Please, I don’t wanna go back.” Tears welded up in her eyes thinking about what would happen if she came back without Frost. Charles relaxed feeling the truth in her words, Erik not so much. It had been a while since they had last seen each other, and he didn't trust her.

"How do we know we can trust you?" Eriks words are full of spite. His words pained her more than the headache.

"Spätzchen (little sparrow), you know me, I'm your sister." Atara had a sad but hopeful look on her face. Charles looked at Erik.

"So? That doesn't mean anything, and my name is Erik." His words were cold. A chill went down Atara's spin, and tears filled her eyes before pouring out of her eyes. Erik used his powers and wrapped some of the metal bed frame around her wrist.

Atara didn't move or say anything, tears stained her dress and the floor. The scene made Charles heart strings to tug. He grabbed Erik by his collar and pulled him through the open doors of the room into the hallway.

"Can't we give her a chance?" He pleaded with Erik.

"Why would we? She works for Shaw." Erik pulled Charles' hand off his collar.

"She may not want to; didn't you see how she was acting? She didn't want to go back." Charles whispers grew louder.

"Yea I saw her *acting* Charles, don't you see she's tricking us!" Erik didn't even try to keep quiet.

"Let me try something then. It would hurt anything to check." Charles then walked over to Atara. He knelt down to her level and place his left index and middle finger on her temple before doing the same to himself but with his right hand.

She knew what he was trying to do, normally no telepath can enter her mind but Atara allowed Charles. Using his mutation he read through her thoughts and her recent memories. After exiting Atara’s mind he spoke.

“She’s not lying.” Erik was still skeptical but unwrapped the metal from around her wrists. Charles got up before helping Atara. He smiled at her and Erik used the metal around Frost to drag her with them.

The car ride was quiet most of the time. Moria was driving and Erik was in the first seat while Atara and Charles sat in the back with an unconscious Frost.

“So you have healing abilities?” Charles asked.

“Then why didn’t you stop.” His eyes were full of resentment. “You helped him so you could get special treatment while the rest of us suffered.”

“NO!” She yelled shocking everyone. “I helped him so *you* weren’t hurt, so he wouldn’t do the things he did to me to you.” She choked on her words tears rolling down her red cheeks. She took a deep breath. “I helped him so *you* were safe.”

“What did he do to you.” He turned to face her, this time the anger was for his sister rather than at her. Her breathing was shaky.

“It doesn’t matter.” She pulled her hand away from Charles and messed with her fingers.

“Tell me.” He spoke calm, the complete opposite of what he was actually feeling. He spoke softly. “Please.”

Not wanted to say it out loud she grabbed his hand and brought her other hand to his temple before showing him the memories. It gave her a headache that hurt like hell but she pushed through it.

A few tears left his eyes at the revolting treatment that she had suffered through. When she let go his sadness turned quickly to anger.

“I will make his death slow and painful.” He was staring into Atara’s eyes, he had a determined look. “I promise you that.” Atara smiled at him.

“Thank you.”

“I’m so sorry for what I had said.” Erik felt truest horrible for his words.

“It’s ok Erik, I could never be mad at you anyway.” Her smile was truly sweet, a smile he didn’t think he deserved.

“I know this isn’t a great time but how could you do that?” Charles interrupted. “You said your mutation was healing.”

“Oh. Uhh, basically I was injected with a lot of other mutants blood, they would mixed some of my blood with the other blood tricking my body into thinking it was mine so when I heal I bring the other blood back, but my body also knew it wasn’t fully mine so when I use the other mutation it gives me a massive headache and sometimes I pass out.”

“That’s horrible.” Moria reinserted herself into the conversation.

“Yea, I guess.” Atara shrugged it off. “Are we almost there?” She felt suffocated by the small car space.

“Yea we’re pulling up now.” It was morning the next day by the time they got back. There were military and Damage galore. Like a hurricane blew through and you know exactly who caused it.

Charles ran over to them calling out. “Raven.” The woman you assumed to be Raven hugged him tightly. There was also some other people, teenagers or young looking adults.

“We've made arrangements for you to be taken home immediately.” Charles spoke to the group.

“We're not going home.” A boy with brown shaggy hair and sunglasses responded.

“What?” Charles was confused.

“He's not going back to prison.” The boy continued.

“He took Angel.” This time it was a boy with short sandy blonde hair and a leather jacket.

“All the more reason for you to leave. This is over.”

“Angels gone, Charles.” Charles turned to Raven as she spoke. “And we can't even save her.” It was silent until Erik spoke from beside Atara.

“If you know you can deflect it, then you're not challenging yourself.” Charles let out a jumble of sounds mixed with a sigh. “Whatever happened to the man who was trying to raise a submarine?” Charles lifted his eyebrows.

“Wha- I can't.” Erik grabbed the gun. “Something that big? I-I need the situation, the anger.”

“No, the anger is not enough.” Charles argued.

“It's gotten the job done all this time.” Erik argued back.

“It's nearly gotten you killed all this time.” Charles stepped forwards.

“Hey, Come here.”Charles patted Erik arm before doing a quick jog past him. “Let's try something a little more challenging.”

Entanglement Chapter Twenty-Five

**Kit's POV

Approaching the castle the cheers and clapping of the townspeople surrounded us. It's obvious they believe that we were able to defeat Larksion's forces on our own but that wasn't the case. It seemed that Boorman could pick up on what I was thinking because the expression he had on his face matched mine. It was one of worry and fearfulness of what could befall all of us if anyone were to learn the truth. Ser Easton and Amara were apprehensive of what to do when coming to face with my mother. Yet, I wasn't too worried about her it was more of Y/n's parents that had me this way or rather her father.

When we entered the castle doors I could see the figure of Willow running to us as fast as possible. He looked red in the face and out of breath. I could only assume that he was looking for us all over the place or rather just in a rush to find us. As he stood in front of the four of us he tried to speak but was having trouble doing so. Seeing that he was having a difficult time catching his breath Amara handed him a canteen filled with water. He gladly accepted her offer and chugged the contents leaving none behind.

"Thank you", he said and Amara nodded her head in response.

"What is it, Willow? Why are you so red in the face", I asked him.

"I heard you had won the battle and came to find you as fast as I could. Assume Y/n received my letter about it otherwise you four wouldn't be here."

"Yes, we came as soon as we could", Ser Easton stated.

"Thank god you did otherwise all of Tir Asleen would be lost", Willow said.

"Except-"

"Except what", I asked him knowing he suspected something.

"I heard that there were no survivors in Larkison's army. Now I don't understand how that is possible considering his army outnumbered ours."

"Well, I guess we had luck on our side then", I said trying to sound convincing. Willow raised his eyebrows and that's when I knew he saw right through me.

"You don't really expect me to believe that do you Kit", He said and well all looked to each other.

"I don't know what to tell you except it was just a miracle that we won with not so many casualties", I said.

"Tell me the truth, Kit. Did Y/n show up and decided to aid in the battle", at that question I didn't know what to say.

"It would make sense because why would she let hundreds of people die knowing she could have done something about it", Willow said staring me down and I looked towards Ser Easton for help. I can see that he caught my gaze and stepped towards Willow.

"Your right she did show up to fight against them", he said and Boorman turned to him outraged.

"What are you doing? I thought you said not to tell the truth to anyone what happened on that field", he said.

"It's not like this is something new that Willow has heard. After all, he knows about the prophecy and the dragons", Ser Easton said and I looked at him shocked.

"What do you mean? How the hell do you know about it", I asked Willow.

"That day you and Y/n came to visit me I sent you to the other room to retrieve that sword I had got you I led her to my study. I gave her a book about the prophecy and everything about dragons."

"So, you knew about this the entire time and didn't decide to fill me in", I said raising my voice clearly pissed with this whole situation.

"It wasn't my place to tell you", he said.

"Like hell it was!"

"Can you keep your voice down we don't want to draw attention to ourselves", Amara said staring me down. At that precise moment, I can see my mother running in my direction with a few guards in tow. I could see that she was pissed off and started to prepare for the tongue-lashing that was to come in a moment. Yet, there was none instead she wrapped her arms around me holding me tight.

"I'm so glad your ok", she says and pulls away to look at me and I let a small smile show.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING", she screamed at me and I was caught by surprise. First, she was happy I was ok now she is yelling at me.

"YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO TELL ME YOU WERE BACK IN TIR ASLEEN OR RATHER THAT YOU DECIDED TO FIGHT IN THAT GOD DAMN BATTLE?!?"

"Mom if you could just-"

"DON'T MOM ME I WAS TERRIFIED THAT YOU WERE HURT OR DEAD!"

"I'm sorry, but this is my home and I needed to fight for it", I stated and with that, she went silent. She let a sign and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"I am so proud that you would fight for Tir Asleen but not making me aware of this is not ok", she said.

"There was no time to. The four of us arrived when the battle was about to start", I said and she shook her head.

"Fine but don't let it happen again", I promised her that but in the back of my mind I knew that a battle could arise from anywhere at anytime and I wouldn't have time to inform her of what I would be doing.

"Come. We all are gathering in the meeting room to discuss recent events", she said and we went on our way.

It took a few minutes to arrive and the whole time we were looking back and forth between the four of us to see how we were going to play this. Standing in front of the doors my mother opened them only to be faced with several advisors along with Y/n's family when we entered the room. As the five of us stood there I could see the face of King Aiden and it held one of suspicion.

"I was informed that Tir Asleen has beaten King Larkison's army. As a matter of fact, there were no survivors among them", he said falling back into his seat.

"That is correct", I hear Amara state.

"Is that so? Well, I was also told that the field was almost fully consumed by fire and that is how none of his army had survived", with those words I froze not knowing what to say.

"Can you tell me exactly what happened out there because I know that we didn't have the numbers that they did to beat them", he said and stared down all of us.

"Really, none of you are going to say anything", he asked clearly growing annoyed by our lack of answers. It was then he moved his attention to Ser Easton who was just happening to stand by Boorman and I.

"What about you Ser Easton? Do you have anything to tell me about what happened today", and with that all eyes were on him waiting for him to speak. Yet, nothing came out and it was very clear that King Aiden had grown annoyed where he was ready to blow a fuse. Turning red in the face he looked to Boorman to find out what he could get out of him.

"What about you Mr.?"

"Boorman, my name is Boorman", he said.

"Well, Boorman can you explain to me why all of the soldiers in the King's army are dead even though we didn't have the manpower to win against them", King Aiden asked putting his elbows on the table and leaning forward with a raised eyebrow.

With the stare-down Boorman was getting from him the nervousness started to settle in. You think it would have settled in beforehand but holding eye contact with King Aiden could make anyone nervous beyond belief. Yet, somehow Boorman found the courage to answer him but none of us knew the kind of explanation he was going to come up with or rather if he was going to tell the truth.

"Well, you see King Aiden the truth is", Boorman started to say and I looked at him with that sinking feeling in my stomach.

"The opposing side launched these I guess you could call missiles which were on fire in our direction. Those missiles did take out quite a few of our soldiers but we also used fire to our advantage. We used a flammable liquid to strike down the enemies. Once certain areas were soaked in the substance we launched similar missiles which caused a much more catastrophic outcome therefore leaving behind ashes rather than a body", he stated and I turned to King Aiden to see if he bought it. It wasn't the best explanation but there was nothing we could do about it now.

Waiting for his response everyone turned to look at him awaiting whether or not he would accept what Boorman had just said or keep grilling us for the truth. It was then that he looked back upon us and spoke.

"Alright then, if that is what you say happened it happened. However, if I found out you all are lying about this I promise you there will be consequences. I am going to question the soldiers and search the battlefield for any remnants of those supposed weapons."

It was then I knew that we were screwed there was no way we could pull this off. Just then Ser Easton spoke up about the issue.

"You don't have to worry King Aiden what Boorman has told you today is the truth", he said with confidence and King Aiden seemed to believe him.

"Fine, you are dismissed", he said and we left the room where we then headed to the castle's garden. When we arrived at the garden we looked around to make sure no one was there to possibly eavesdrop on our conversation.

"What the fuck are we going to do? None of the stuff Boorman said was true", I said rubbing my temples.

"Don't worry, I will have a talk with the soldiers and they will confirm our story", Ser Easton stated.

"Well, what about the 'missiles' that were mentioned used by both sides", Amara asked.

"I am sure I can rustle up a few of those things I just have to talk to some woodworkers and pay them extra to go along with everything. Just let me take care of it and we all stick to the story", he said then gave Amara a look and they both took off towards the village.

"How are we suppose to trust that this will work out", Boorman asked.

"Ser Easton would do anything to protect Y/n and so would Amara which is why they will make sure this will go according to plan", I said and looked in area where they once were now unoccupied.

**Y/n's POV (2 days later)

Once Calyx and I made it back to Dristarya things seemed much more clearer. I had time to think about everything that happened a couple of days ago from the battle to Kit saving my life. There is a big part of me still saying don't trust her that it will only lead to my heartbreaking again but how can it break even more than it already has. Then there is that small part of me that still feels something Kit you may even call it love.

My fingers moved to touch my lips remembering when she and I kissed. I never kissed anyone before then and with her, it felt right. The way our lips were in sync I felt that it couldn't just happen with just anyone but then again it was just my first kiss. Whereas Kit has probably had her first kiss before me and of course, it would be with Jade. I could see how much she cared for her or rather still does but I wonder if the kiss we shared meant anything to her. I don't know maybe it didn't mean anything to her at all it was just a kiss that happened in a library where she ran off right after.

I still can't help but believe that maybe I do mean something to her after all she did stop that soldier from shooting me with an arrow. I won't lie when I say that when I thought I was going to die she was the person I was thinking about. Not my mother, father, or brother but Kit Tanthalos was the one on my mind. I know that when we meet again we will have to talk about everything that has happened between us. Not only that but where this marriage is going to go or rather become.

As I stared out into the ocean the water splashing onto the rocks that surrounded the beach tore me out of the trance I seemed to be in. The constant thought of anything Kit Tanthalos-related filled my head and I couldn't snap out of it until now. Letting out a sign I turn away to make my way back to the castle when I hear a noise coming from the underbelly of the castle. I slowly entered the cave remembering the first time I went in and Aeras almost cooked me alive. Not that I blame but its best to be careful when one knows potential dragons are hiding in the depths of this cave.

I take the torch mounted onto the wall giving me light as I make my way further and further into it. As I make a turn from where Aeras was originally that first day I come up on a larger area of the underbelly. It was there I saw Valerion lying on the cave's cold ground and he raised his head as he heard me approaching. He didn't seemed frightened when he was aware of my presence and I set the torch down a few feet away from him.

I walked up to him and carefully sat down next to his right wing where I then laid my head on it. Valerion didn't seem to mind he just laid his head back down on the ground and I could feel his heartbeat against my hand when I stroked the side of his body. The heartbeat of a dragon is loud and very different from the one of a human which of course is to be expected.

"I don't know what to do Valerion. Kit hurt me so much to my core that I don't think I can see a life with her. Yet, she did say she would make up everything to me even if it took the rest of her life which I guess I believe. After all, she did save my life but I am still wary of her and her actions", I said.

"Maybe one day I will be able to trust her again even though I said I never would she is trying to prove me wrong. I guess you can say it's working. Do you think that there is any hope for the two of us", I asked him and he let out a huff in response.

"Yeah, I thought so too."

Worldbuilding Thoughts 3

Ok so one thing I don't see very much in medieval fantasy settings with a royalty system is the issue of the monarch travelling with a retinue. If you're writing one like GoT and you're into the whole idea of the monarch needing to travel (trust me, if it's medieval, they really do need to do a circuit of their kingdom, even if administration and judicial system has been centralised. If you don't, you can't monitor the nobles on the periphery, and you ... really need to do that).

If this is something you've considered, ignore, if not, I was just thinking about the medieval England situation for the earlier kings (William I to John).

Do you know how many the king travels with?? How many guards how many horsemen, lads to take care of the horses, courtesans, scribes, courtiers who need to stay close, accountants, etc? Now have a look at the size of the castles. They're not that big. You have to scale the castle to the landscape (and really seriously consider how long it takes to build a big one). You've got space for a prestigious guest, and then like. 20 extras. At an absolute push, in some cases. Ok, bigger ones, yeah ram 100 in.

The king's got 200 men. He doesn't scale down to stay at a castle or fortified manor that fits 50max and already has 30 occupants. He just rocks up. People do not want him to, but he does anyway.

What used to happen in Medieval England was - there wasn't ever enough space. Literally none. There was also no system, it was King gets the best guest room, everyone who needs to be immediately close to him crashes on the floor, and if you're not fast enough and a bit further down the pecking order, you're marching into someone's house and saying "I'm staying here tonight" and sleeping downstairs with the goats. There are sources of courtiers bitterly complaining they had to sleep in barns and some "camping" (sleeping rough in the rain) in the forest because there was NO SPACE FOR THEM in the castle/fortified manor or in the surrounding villages because they came late due to their admin duties holding them up. And they don't have a tent. They have to literally sleep outside with their cloaks over them. Did they die of exposure? I mean, sometimes. Did they catch chills and die of those? Sure, yeah. Did it really piss them off? Every time.

(Peasant perspective: So many young* angry men with swords with untreated PTSD from all the war/general life trauma, chips on their shoulders and complexes about being younger sons (the spare not the heir) and desperate to prove themselves in a chivalric context of fighting/shagging prowess but they've been give a lot of admin duties to do, drinking a lot of alcohol every single day. Since being on the road they have had to cut down on the alcohol which hasn't improved their mood. And they're all coming to your village. And you can't feed or house them all.)

Then the king decides to leave.

It takes a good few hours to let everyone know because **nobody knows where anyone is**. You have to prep the supply wagons and the horses. And the king stands up after breakfast and says "I want to leave NOW"

Then he changes his mind.

Now you're leaving tomorrow afternoon.

If you're trying to picture this, with a lot of highly strung horses in an enclosed space being yelled at and dragged into position to cut down time, and people running to comb the villages and the woods for stragglers and leave messages for others coming through later, it's chaos. Absolute chaos.

Now imagine being put in charge of it.

So many plot points to play with there.

Day 15 and 16!!

Warning: 5.1 spoilers here as I reach the end of the story update!!

So yay!! Midterms are done (for now 😭), so I was finally able to continue the Archon quest!!

In day 15, other than dailies, I did a few runs of the VV domain but got nothing better for Kazuha 😔. I'd add a bit more, but day 16 is going to be way longer so I figured it's best to keep it short.

Day 16: After essentially 2 days of not playing any hoyo game, I Iog in so I can finish the quest!!

Ok I'm guessing now that Mavuika is the last hero because there are no other prominent characters, plus all the tribes are accounted for, I think. I'm really curious who it is though. (I realize that i am dumb later and clearly misremembered Mavuika's explanation in 5.0)

So yeah, this update was amazing and I really liked how they made your decision on where to go have an actual effect on the results because it made the war so much more devastating 😭😭😭. Knowing that the other place would get run over by the Abyss depending on where you go....

Ok fine let's do theory time. This will be mostly about Session 7 and Gem's task. Now, I got two big points here, (a) The End/The Void is an entity that is independent of The Watchers and (b) Gem's task and, by extension, she herself came from that entity's will.

Now the obvious connection is obvious, yeah yeah who opened the End portal, but this goes farther. So, uh, remember episode 1? Specifically, when Gem and Lizzie found pumpkins and formed an alliance of sorts? Pumpkins, that's right. They became kind of a big deal. Since then, Gem and Lizzie had been consistently connected to The End. When Lizzie got the hard task to get everyone to sleep, first thing she thought of? The End. But then, why did she die to the very thing she was intertwined with.

Well, Scott of course. Scott has consistently been the most resistant to influence from cosmic entities. He actively spit in the faces of The Watchers multiple times now, after all. He was meant to die in the void. But not just because of his own aspect, but because Lizzie hasn't fully assimilated to her new connection. She didn't wear a pumpkin. The End had to shoot blindly, and with Scott's aura of negation he wasn't gonna be the one hit.

Now let's have an aside about what The End's intentions are in this series. Cause all cosmic entities gotta have one right? Well, The Watchers designed the games to be a feast of discord, war, betrayal, all of the fun stuff. The End, on the other hand, seeks to, well, end the games, as fast as possible. How were the first two reds created? Now, it's probably not exactly a humanitarian motivation from The End here. Whether it's merciful oblivion or just a thirst for finality, it still creates war and brutality, just not in the same way as The Watchers. The Watchers want the feast to stretch for as long as possible, as the payoff will be that much sweeter. The End wants to finish everything as fast as possible. You could argue that the Boogie curse has origins in The End, with Skizz as the catalyst, but I don't feel like going into that atm.

Ok, finally, how does that connect to Session 7's events? Well, as mentioned before Lizzie died when she wasn't meant to, with overwhelming feelings of rage and a desire for revenge against (most of) the server. In addition, two other reds, mumbo and jimmy, died to a forced hard task from grian and etho. So, all the reds except The Watchers' special boy Martyn are gone. Not awesome if you want everything to return to dust quickly. But, mainly, Lizzie's, uhhhh, let's call it curse, people like that word, transferred to Gem in the form of a hijacked task. I mean, it doesn't function according to any of the rules set by the Secret Keeper. And neither did Gem's end portal task, really, if you think about. Oh abd neither did Bdub's free the end. Wait. Bdub's? Free the End? And hey, would you look at that, he's also the first infected. And who's next? Impulse, Pearl? Ain't that our little end fighting army? (Also, Bdubs was the first ever person to get the Boogie curse but again, not getting into that. So, uh yeah, basically The End, an entity in opposition to The Watchers, has hijacked the task system, and possibly brought Gem in, in order to free itself and then end the series as quickly as possible. A desperation move, really, but it makes sense, this season's torture was gonna be especially prolonged.

Essentially my first theory, and I don't have too much knowledge on lore and stuff, but sometimes words are in your head and you have to get them out somehow.

Omfg 4 babies. Ok so those are gonna be premature for sure and need intencess care the first 1 year or so of life. Real scary but at about 5 years they will be like any other 5 year olds

How the bones feel about that ?

The first part of the ask is right here!

Undertale Sans - He got this. He was a scientist in a previous life, it's never too late to panic-learn how to watch over a premature child. Or four actually. Sans is a bit stressed in the first months but he starts to calm down once he's realizing his babies are actually fine and that they're growing well. Thankfully, he can also call Toriel at 3 am, close to a panic attack, so she can do a preventive healing spell when he's freaking out for the littlest thing.

Undertale Papyrus - Don't worry. As soon as he knows the kids are going to be premature, Papyrus starts reading tons of books on how to take care of premature children. He is ready when they arrive. Ok, that's actually a lot different than what they said in the books, but he's adapting fast. Naturally optimistic, he's the one keeping your spirit up! The babies are fine, they're going to be fine and you two are excellent parents. Repeat after him!

Underswap Sans - He's scared and not ready. Blue will take a really long time to find his place as a dad, leaving everything to his S/O because he's terrified of doing something wrong. He also struggles to bond with his children, and the fact that when he sees them, he has PTSD of how bad he neglected Honey as a child is definitely not helping. That's too much, too fast and he grows a little distant. He will get there eventually, but he needs time.

Underswap Papyrus - He's a "little" stressed. And by that I mean he's living 24 hours a day in the same room as his children for the first months, terrified to not look at them for even one second. You will have to drag him out of the house to take care of his own health because it will reach a point where he will lose a lot of weight and show clear signs of physical and mental distress. He has to learn to let go as the children grow up, but he's still freaking out when one of them gets sick. He's very fusional and protective, but he needs to chill a little.

Underfell Sans - He knew what premature babies were and still, when the doctors put the littlest babies he had ever seen in his hands he had a panic attack. They're so small, how the hell are they going to survive? He doesn't want to get attached immediately, because small babies like this had no chances to survive back Underground and he just assumed they would die or get killed at some point. Except he badly failed the "do not get attached" thing. After like a week he turns Poppa Bear, very protective and running to them at any weird sound. You even find him making huge efforts to overcome his panic fear of loud noises by... burying the babies and him in a closet lol. He's going to be fine. He doesn't think he is, but Red is actually a very good dad and he's great at taking care of children. He's a natural at this after some encouragement.

Underfell Papyrus - He is TERRIFIED. That never happened to him. Damn, even fighting Asgore and almost dying was not that SCARY. He was told he would have to protect the babies from the world because they were coming early but he never expected them not even knowing how to breathe on their own? He thought it would be protecting them like he protected his brother by sacrificing himself stupidly and enrolling in the Royal Guard? He's not ready to monitor if they're actually breathing. The first days are full of panic attacks and Edge literally not wanting to pick the babies up by fear they break in his hands or something. He's going to need a few weeks to calm down and finally starting to adjust to the situation. He's overprotective, not wanting any stranger to touch the babies inside his house, and when friends and families are visiting, all of them can feel his breath on their necks as he's staring at what they're doing over their shoulders. He's going to be like this until the doctors say the babies are developing as they should, so probably after two years or so. Then he starts to relax and actually starts to appreciate to be a dad, and not just like a royal soldier on constant duty. He's going to be fine eventually, just hold on.

Horrortale Sans - He's worried, but it's ok. He knows he definitely can handle that on his own, and he learned enough from his past mistakes to ask for help. Willow, Toriel, and Grillby are acting as secondary parents in the moments Oak can't physically be a dad. Oak has bad days where he can't stop thinking that if Undyne didn't mess his head he would be a way better dad than he is, and he feels a little bad the kids also call Willow's dad and not just him, but he doesn't complain, like always. He loves his kids and his efforts to take care of them are actually training his memory, so he improves as he becomes a dad. Added to that, Willow can read him like an open book and he knows when to let him be present for his children. He just wants his brother to be happy. He's an amazing dad, he just beats himself up a little too much.

Horrortale Papyrus - He's a bit stressed at first as they are all very small and he has very big hands. The babies can actually fit in his hand, and it's so scary for him. But he quickly gets over it because that's a lot of work and he doesn't have time anymore to be scared. The babies are here either he's scared or not. Willow doesn't hesitate either to sacrifice his sleep so his S/O can rest from time to time. He's never complaining and he loves spending time with his kids. He makes the most of the situation while he can still carry his babies around. As they grow up, his back can't follow. At least he could carry them a little longer than normal parents could!

Swapfell Sans - Between Toriel harassing him and the constant crying at home, Nox is a little burned out. He tries his best to be there for his S/O and his children, and he really wants to be there, but the Queen takes advantage of how tired he is to manipulate him even more and keep him away from his family for long periods of time. Eventually, Rus calls him out, telling him that would be a shame for him to treat these children the way he treated him: not being there, and that was enough of an electroshock for Nox to actually decide to take an entire year out of the Royal Guard. He wanted to quit, but the Queen didn't accept it. One year is the best he could get. Nox calms down now that he has time and supports his S/O the best he can with his children. He knows he's far from the perfect dad, but he's learning fast and he's sure he can be decent eventually.

Swapfell Papyrus - Rus never really had a parent model to teach him stuff so everything is really new for him. He's clumsy, and yes, he might almost drop one of the babies once, but he's trying really hard to learn. He actually stopped pranking people during that time, by fear one of his jokes hurt one of the babies. As soon as they grow older though, he turns back to his usual self, finding matching costumes to dress the babies with and doing endless hours of plane flying in the house with them. He never thought he could be a great dad, but he's doing decently.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He's getting even more maniac and you didn't think it was possible. The doctors said the babies could catch any illnesses because of their weak immune system, so now no one is allowed to enter the house with a face mask, gloves, and a shower. You tried to explain to him that's maybe too extreme but he won't listen to you. He even put mines in the garden because he doesn't have time to patrol anymore and you're a bit scared of when the babies will be old enough to, you know, WALK OUTSIDE. You're going to have a complicated few months/years. Good luck with that.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - You know how mama cats sometimes hide their babies in random places when they're not feeling comfortable? Coffee has a bad habit of doing that. You will have multiple panic attacks wondering where the hell the babies are. And then randomly finds one like... In the bathroom closet. He can't help it. It's instinctive. He can't explain it either. He just... needs... to hide the baby.
