As for personal faves, my favorite hockey fic of all time is Trust Fall by @ohblushes, I can't tell you how many times I've read it.

Hi! Do you have favorite fic authors (if yes which ones are your favs?) or do you read more by searching through tags? ☺️

I do have fave authors! I’ll admit, some of them I’m a little biased because they’re my friends but they’re also just really great writers in addition to being awesome people and I’ll read pretty much anything they write. 

Some of my favorites are @girouxes, @kwriteshockey, @ohblushes, @macknnons, @tarcanza, @crooked-silence, @jonny-toews, and justhockey (on AO3)

When I’m in the mood for something specific I will search through tags but, more often than not, I just browse the Hockey RPF tag until something catches my eye.

It’s the smell that wakes him, ripe and sweet, tugging at the animal part of him, so thick, he comes to with a start as if an invisible cloth were pressed over his nose and mouth, stealing all his oxygen. His lungs desperate things in his chest, kicking up in hunger.

Kaner must have hooked up with some omega on the brink of heat, then come back to the hotel soaked in their scent. No. The smell is making Jonny’s stomach lurch, his head dumb with want. It’s too strong to be an echo. Kaner must have taken them in the room, must have fucked them in the bed right next to Jonny, that reckless moron. They must still be here.

Jonny’s hand fumbles over the nightstand to turn on the light.

Kaner’s bed is empty, sheets all crumpled at the bottom but Kaner is near, Jonny can smell him as clearly as he can smell the heat, both scents so closely mingled they almost seem two sides of a coherent whole.

“Kaner,” he calls.

A small noise creeps through the silence. Jonny whips his head toward it. A thin blade of light filters from under the closed bathroom door. 

“Kaner,” he repeats. 

In just two strides he’s pressing his ear against the cool wood. Jonny’s skin feels on fire. The smell gets stronger, so heady Jonny has to grip the jamb until his knuckles turn white to keep himself from doing something stupid, like slamming his whole body into the door until the hinges give and he can see Kaner, just make sure he’s safe.

From inside, someone whimpers, quivery and desperate.

Jonny’s not thinking clearly. The smell doesn’t come from Kaner, it cannot. There’s an omega in the bathroom. Still, he has to ask, just to rule out the impossible. “Kaner, are you alone in there?”

After the longest, most escrutiating stretch of silence Jonny has ever had to breathe through, Kaner’s voice, so wrecked that that alone would be answer enough, says, “Yeah.”

It feels like being hit by a slapshot square in the chest, no gear on.

And then, pleading, “I’m burning up. Fuck, Jonny, I think I’m presenting.”

Comment réaliser le nail-art Effet Glace en résine et poudre

 Les produits : - Résine boulette ultra liquide (bouchon jaune) - Résine boulette liquide (bouchon rose) - Résine boulette medium (bouchon mauve) - Poudre Oh Blush Pearl #5001 - Poudre Oh Blush Loyal #93 - Poudre Oh Blush Souvenirs #174 - Poudre claire Ongles d'Or - Poudre ultra blanche Ongles d'Or - Fini-Plus Les étapes de réalisations : - Appliquer une couche de base de résine médium - À l'aide de la résine boulette liquide, tremper votre pinceau dans la poudre bleu foncé pour former une petite boulette, et faire fondre par petites touches sur l'ongle - Répéter à plusieurs endroits aléatoirement pour créer un effet marbré. Les 3 couleurs de poudre, vous aideront à obtenir un effet 3d - Répéter avec la poudre bleu pâle et superposer aléatoirement sur sur bleu foncé et l'ongle. La couleur doit rester translucide pour obtenir un effet glace. - Répéter ensuite avec la poudre ultra blanche, elle va donner l'impression de craquelure de glace. - Saupoudrer la poudre claire sur l'ensemble de l'ongle pour créer de la profondeur à votre nail-art - Appliquer la résine boulette ultra liquide en tapotant sur l'ongle - Si vous souhaitez encore plus de profondeur, vous pouvez remettre une couche de poudre claire et tapoter de nouveau avec la résine ultra liquide pour mouiller la poudre - Appliquer le durcisseur en vaporisateur sur l'ongle pour catalyser la résine. Attendre quelques secondes que cela durcisse. - Vous pouvez répéter sur tous les ongles avant de passer à la finition. - Limer la surface de l'ongle pour retirer toutes les imperfections et bosses. - Passer le bloc sableur blanc pour retirer l'effet lustré. - Appliquer une couche de finition UV Fini-Plus - À l'aide d'un bâton, appliquer quelques paillettes de poudres Oh Blush Pearl #5001 pour donner un effet plus lumineux et dynamique - Cuire 1 minute sous une lampe LED (2 minutes sous une lampe UV). - Remettre une couche de Fini-Plus et cuire de nouveau 1 minute.

Quarantine Tag Game

Are you staying home from school/work? Working from home -- pretty lucky in that I can still do my job that way!

If you’re staying home, who is there with you? My roommate is also living from home, and my boyfriend (also working from home) lives a short walk away, so I’ve been splitting my time between our apartments. We’ve been a pretty closed germ circle so far, but now that everyone’s been isolated for 2+ weeks, I’m getting together with my immediate family for Easter weekend.

Are you a homebody? Mostly! It hasn’t bothered me too much, but I’m veeeeery excited about wandering the forest near my parents’ house this weekend.

An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? My friends and I had a couple of musicals we were going to perform this spring (Wicked and Octet). Octet is this super obscure Dave Malloy show about the internet, eight voices (shockingly) with no accompaniment, and I was super looking forward to learning and performing the musical. That’s the thing I’m most hoping we’re able to reschedule after this is over.

What movies have you watched recently? Parasite: stunning, amazing, masterpiece of cinema. Onward: pleasantly surprised, would recommend! Also, boyfriend and I have been watching the Fast and the Furious series with friends of ours over Zoom. I’d never seen them before, and so far I’d have to say: 1 - good but weird ending; 2 - fluff; 3 - what; 4 - good; 5 - amazing.

What shows are you watching? Nirvana in Fire, my one true love. Also this amazing Korean reality/game show called The Genius.

What music are you listening to? Delta Rae’s new album, so good.

What are you reading? Hatchet, for my YA book club. Animorphs #45, for next week’s podcast episode. Just finished Trust Fall on AO3. A friend’s manuscript that I was supposed to read like two months ago (oops).

What are you doing for self-care? Writing is good self-care for me, so I’ve been trying to get back to it after a couple of very unfocused months! Hanging out with new bf. Baking, when I can find the supplies. Going for walks and trying not to get stressed out by sidewalk distancing.

Any big projects you’re working on? I’m mostly trying to get back into a regular writing habit. I’m working on the first novel of a series roughly modeled after Animorphs, with more of a horror flavor, but I’m not sure what publishing genre it fits into. Do middle-grade series still exist like they did in the ‘90s??

Plans for when the quarantine is over? All the musical theater! Go out to Utah and visit my best friend. Be in a room with >2 friends again.
