I’m going absolutely insane over my miraculous rewrite thing
I have concepts done for every episode of season 1, concepts for the overarching plot across seasons (I’m trying to cut down on a season or two, which is very feasible with how I’m playing my cards). I have drafts (first drafts, mind you) of several of the episodes, and I FUCKING FIGURED OUT HOW TO IMPLEMENT LILA IN A WAY THAT ISNT AS STUPID!!! THIS TOOK ME A WEEK NEARLY TO COME UP WITH!!!
#for the record she’s taking the place of the absolute monster Chloé becomes later in the show/was said to be prior to the show#like Chloé is a bully don’t get me wrong but she was never THAT bad. But by making Lila the one who gave the main cast their big trauma it#gives her a tie-in with them and has her as a character as early as possible#oh yeah on that note I completely reorganised the episodes so that they have significant continuity#a lot of episodes will start something and finish it in the next one or a couple episodes later#except for the Felix episode. the problem in that one will take a WHILE to be fully resolved because that kicks off the main interpersonal#Agreste plot#anywho#oh yeah I’m introducing Felix super early#I’ll make designs soon. I have some redesigns for Marinette Alya and Chloé as well as Gabe that I’m liking the looks of#specifically Gabe’s transformation (which is being called Monarch bc he’s a diva in my version /hj)#miraculous#miraculous ladybug#mlb#mlb au#mlb rewrite#miraculous au#miraculous rewrite

I saw on one of your post that said to send you prompts sooo... can I request A childhood friend AU either Felix or Marinette moves away and then reuniting in college in France at age 14 in Felix's school with the Quantic Kids.
It was a pretty normal day, which probably meant something was going to happen. If it wasn’t a normal day, something was bound to happen as well; life in Paris hadn’t been normal in months. It being a normal day meant that Marinette was late. Super late. Way, way, so very late she might as well be early for the next thing kind of late. So late that- (oh, she’s beginning to catch onto why she’s so late.)
She knew even as she was shoving toothpaste into her bag for Tikki and brushing her teeth with frosting (wait, switch that) that she would be late, and her erratic movements were enough to convince her parents to write her an excuse. Not that anyone could blame her; she had to deal with three akumas in one night. Three akumas. Who could blame her, or anyone for that matter, for being late when there were three emotionally-stunted teens each wreaking havoc upon the city? It was a wonder that anyone else got to class on time, except for Alya, who Marinette was pretty sure didn’t sleep.
Marinette kissed both parents goodbye, thanking them again for the excuse note. They shoved a box of pastries into her hands, as was their habit whenever she didn’t leave school fast enough.
They had done it since her first day at her new school, when she was tiny and frightened of new people; having the same best friend since birth would do that. Her father had shoved a box of macaroons in her arms and her mother placed a bracing arm on her back. They told her what to do and she tried her hardest to follow their instructions, standing up straight at the front of the class, introducing herself, and offering cookies. Unfortunately, that was the same day Chloe Bourgeois was joining public school, and compared to cookies, her offer of money to ten year-olds wasn’t all that effective. And Chloe was excellent at holding a grudge.
Of course, she ended up with friends: Alya, Nino, Adrien, and everyone in art class, but it was hard to go about her first couple years of school without anyone in her corner. Becoming Ladybug really gave her the boost of confidence she needed to break out of her shell and make new friends, and now she had a whole class full.
She stopped in the classroom to put her stuff away, pausing for a second to breathe. How was she out of shape? She’s Ladybug, for heavens’ sakes! Those three akumas really took it out of her. Luckily enough, she had gym class up next. (Can you hear the sarcasm?)
“Girl! Where have you been?” Alya smiled up at her from where she was stretching her hamstrings.
“Sorry Alya, slept in too much.” She fell into place beside her, choosing one of the more advanced stretches to accomplish instead. “Three akumas yesterday; couldn’t get much sleep.”
“You need to get over yourself, Mari. Ladybug and Chat Noir always win against the akumas, this fear of yours is ridiculous.” Alya glanced at her with an incredulous look, but when she saw her intense yoga pose, the look shifted and she yelled over her shoulder. “Adrien! Get over here! Marinette’s doing her physics-defying stuff again!”
Adrien joined them, laughing at Alya’s exaggerated despair. “It’s really not that hard. You just have to-” He fell into the position easily and began matching her movements. “There.”
“How on EARTH?” Alya shrieked and threw herself to the right, toppling into Nino, who was in a shaky warrior two. They ended up in a heap on the floor, Alya staring in horror at the two still upright and Nino staring bewildered at his girlfriend. “How are you two doing that?”
“Well, I don’t know about Marinette,” Adrien moved into an upward dog, “but father insisted that I be physically active in some way and my mother used to do yoga. So I picked it up.”
Nino leaned close to Alya’s ear. “I’m not sure whether to add this to the ‘reasons Gabriel sucks’ list or be happy he has this thing with his mom.”
“Both I guess?”
“What about you Marinette?” He moved into a handstand-like position. “Why do you know all this stuff?”
My superhero moonlighting requires me to be as stretchy as a rubber band, so my partner, who is also a furry, taught me yoga. “My first best friend and I learned tai chi, and this just felt like the next step.” Not a lie, just not why she chose yoga.
“Okay, you’re fine.” Alya pointed a finger between them both. “But next time you do something weird, I’m starting a cryptid blog about you.”
“You don’t have the guts.” Marinette leaned in and Adrien flipped down to join her. It felt familiar, like deja vu; not her crush, she killed that with fire once he started dating Kagami.
“Heey!” Nino opened his arms in front of them. “Let’s change the subject, what about that new student?”
“There’s a new student?” Marinette turned to the rest of the class, who were all stretching dutifully. No new faces whatsoever. “Where are they?”
“Not here, he went to the office over a scheduling conflict. Seems like a jerk.” Alya pulled an arm behind her head, glaring with derision in the direction of the office.
“Alya, don’t.” Adrien nudged her with a foot. “First impressions don’t mean anything, right Marinette?” He shot her a playful glance.
“Don’t remind me.”
“That one was a misunderstanding. Mister Ice Cold over there doesn’t even say a word, just nods and walks into the back of the class. At least Adrien did something and he asked for forgiveness afterwards. Frosty doesn’t even look at us.” With that final comment, Alya joined the rest of the class in dodgeball.
“Is she alright?” Adrien side-eyed her.
“Yeah, she just really hates people acting superior to her. Let’s go.” Marinette shrugged it off and joined her in picking teams.
Dodgeball was a mess; it always was. The entirety of the class had been akumatized at one point, and some of the strategic prowess remained. Marinette’s team always won, which everyone attributed to her agility, but it was really that Ladybug had more practice in strategy. The only way the teams could be considered even was if Adrien was against her.
She still won; she always won. When it was all over, each team, sweating and exhausted, gravitated to the center line to shake hands and congratulate one another on a game well played. Adrien met her in the middle with a weary smirk. His hair was disheveled, but there was a spark in his eyes that made him seem more familiar than he already was.
“I almost got you that time.” He gripped her hand tight.
“All that training with Kagami is really upping your game.” She quipped, shaking his hand. “Better luck next time.”
With that promise of another match, everyone vacated the gym to the locker rooms, where Alya continued to warn Marinette against the new student.
“Even Chloe doesn’t like him and he seems like the kind of rich boy that would be right up her alley.”
“Alya, I get it. You aren’t the new guy’s biggest fan.”
“And the feeling’s mutual too.” She griped.
“So just don’t talk to him; it works with Chloe. Why not this guy too?” She wrapped an arm around her shoulder and led her to their desk.
“Fine, but I don’t have to like it.”
“You don’t have to like him either.” She pulled out her notebook and began writing down the date.
Before Alya could make another passive aggressive comment about the mystery new boy, Miss Bustier walked in, the usual skip in her step. “Class, I know I already introduced you to our new student but since some of us weren’t here for the first period,” Marinette ducked her head with a sheepish smile, “I’ve decided there’s nothing better than a redo. So, here’s Mister Culpa, introducing himself again.”
Culpa?
A boy with pale blond hair and paler skin strode into the room. He wore what could only be called business-casual, all monochrome. His eyes were a one-in-a-million breathtaking ice blue.
Culpa?
“Hello.” His eyes scanned the room emotionlessly. “As I previously said, my name is Felix Culpa and I am from-” He stopped when he reached her. “Nette?”
“Felix.” She breathed, barely even daring to say it louder, lest he disappear.
He was a blur, climbing the steps and reaching her in the time it took her to stand. There were no words when they hugged, other than the other’s name. She was on the tips of her toes, pressing her forehead to his collarbone. Felix got tall.
“I missed you.” He whispered, squeezing just a little tighter.
“I missed you too.” She laughed, pulling back to see his face. He was crying. She was crying.
“What in Ladybug’s name is happening?” Alya’s shout broke them from whatever pocket dimension they were inhabiting together. “You two know each other?”
“Alya, this is Felix.” She turned to look at her, hand still on Felix’s shoulder. “He was my best friend from birth to ten.”
“Was?” He bumped her hip with his. “Didn’t know I’ve been replaced, Netta.”
“I couldn’t contact you after I moved! I was ten and your mom never told us what her new number was.” She punched his elbow. “What are you doing here?”
“My family moved. I didn’t know you were in this area too; imagine my surprise when I see what the current events in Paris are and find out that there are superheroes and my best friend is now a borderline celebrity.” He chuckled, running a hand through his hair.
“We have to catch up some time.” She grabbed his arm.
“Certainly, maybe not here and now, though.” He gestures to the class around them, avidly watching the exchange.
“Right.” She released his arm and rubbed the back of her head awkwardly. “Coffee and macarons later then? My place?”
“I would like nothing more.” He quirked a smile that would seem tiny to anyone else, but to Marinette was as bright as the sun. “Until then.” Felix squeezed her hand and moved to the back of the class with a little wave.
She returned it, a goofy smile definitely on her face as she sat back down.
“Well,” Miss Bustier coughed, “since Felix has been so thoroughly introduced to everyone else, I suppose I should start the lesson.” And she dove into a spiel about the first World War.
“Dang, girl. Is it just me, or do you have a date after class?” Alya whispered to her from behind her textbook.
“It’s not a date! We’re just catching up.”
“Sure.”
She spared a quick glance at Felix, who was nose-deep in his book, just like when they were kids. He had such sharp features, and upon reconsideration, his eyes looked even more beautiful than she remembered. Felix grew up just fine without her. Really fine, in fact.
It took Marinette a couple seconds to realize she was staring, and when she did, her head turned back to the front of the room so fast she swore she heard a snap.
This was... going to be complicated.

swim captain (chapter three)
pairing: bang chan x reader
genre: angst
warnings: mentions of possible sexual assault, mentions of slight violence
word count: 3.2k
a/n: look at me posting kinda consistently and shit

chan watched as you left the building with jaemin and his friends, head flooding with thoughts of you and his realization.
since when did he like you like that? he’s known you for years, why now was he falling for you? why not last year when he didn’t know who to ask to the dance or earlier this year when he needed a plus one to an important swim meet? you ended up going as minho’s date to both of those things, and chan had ended up taking some random girl.
but it didn’t matter, he couldn’t have asked you to those things as anything more than a friend anyway. whether he fell for you now or a year ago or any time, he needed to cut it out.
it felt inappropriate to have feelings for you. you were the manager of a team that he was captain of and there was a feeling of responsibility that came along with both of those positions. and even if that didn’t matter, how was he supposed to know if you thought of him any different than you thought of the rest of the boys? if anything, you seemed less interested in him than any of the other boys. he probably got one hug for every five the others got, ten if it was hyunjin or minho.
he was sure you saw him as a brother. a good friend, and that was all. you obviously didn’t see him as anything else, or you wouldn’t have left with jaemin. but that was fine, because it would be inappropriate if you did. it was inappropriate that he did.
he tried to think back and figure out when his feelings changed. he couldn’t pinpoint anything specific that would have changed the way he feels towards you, but it made sense of things. like why he had been extra focused on you the past weeks and why minho’s actions were bugging him now, even though they were the same as always. he was forced out of his train of thought when someone called his name.
“chan, you coming?” changbin called from a few feet away, the boys already heading for the door, which chan failed to realize as he was caught up in his own thoughts.
“yeah,” he began, “uh, yeah, sorry.”
he figured it best to go with the boys. they would offer some sort of distraction from the fact that you were with jaemin at that moment, and a bunch of his friends. plus, he had made a point of expressing that he was going out in his attempt to get you to stay with your team and not leave with NCT, so it would look weird if he didn’t go now.
the boys piled into felix’s car. his family had came to the meet and drove his car along with another one, leaving his since they knew the boys would want to hang out after the meet. all of the boys fit in the large crossover, but it was definitely not legal to have that many people packed into one vehicle.
finally deciding on a small ice cream shop, felix pulled into the small parking lot and shut off the car. the boys immediately stormed out of the car and into the diner.
after ordering their ice cream and sitting down, the 8 of them began to chat about the days events. chan didn’t bother to tune in much. that is, until he heard a certain subject being discussed.
“he seemed pretty nice,” seungmin joked, “you know, for someone from NCT.”
“no joke. and he’s pretty, too.” added changbin.
“hey,” felix began, “you trying to steal y/n’s man?”
chan interrupted the bantering, “what about that guy came off as nice to you guys? he was creepy! like, who walks up to a stranger and asks them to leave late at night with them and their friends? that’s weird!” he paused, “and he didn’t even acknowledge that we were there! isn’t he supposed to get, like, permission or something?”
“permission? yeah, from her dad, not her 8 annoying best friends, dumbass.” hyunjin responded.
“seriously, how are you guys so chill about this? we don’t know the kid or anyone on his team.”
“y/n’s a big girl, chan, she can handle herself.”
“against a group of that many guys?” chan scoffed, “yeah right.”
“chan, why are you automatically assuming they’re going to hurt her?”
“why are you assuming they’re not?”
“i don’t know, maybe because there’s no history of NCT being a bad school? maybe because none of those boys have a record?”
“they’re top athletes, hyunjin, you really fucking think the school would let that type of shit on a public record if anything happened? and risk their reputation?”
hyunjin let out an unamused laugh, “we’re top athletes too, chan.” he gestured to everyone around the table, “we have clean records.”
“yeah, clean as long as minho’s assault charge stays expunged.”
he mumbled, pushing his chair back and standing up, headed for the door.
minho stood up with him, moving to grab his arm and stop him from leaving, “are you forgetting i caught that charge defending y/n?”
chan shrugged his shoulders, pulling his arm from minho’s grip and continuing his path to the door, “it’s just an example, minho.”
“how are you gonna get home?” felix called before he could leave.
without turning around, chan responded, “i’ll figure it out.”
and the door shut behind him.
the 7 boys looked at each other, felix practically pulling minho back to his seat to stop him from following chan out the door. that was expected, minho was a hothead, but chan was usually calm and practical, even when upset. and he knew better than to make a scene in public.
“jesus,” jisung laughed, “he flops one race and he turns into a 2 year old having a tantrum.”
“yeah,” minho let out a scoff that the rest of the boys played off as a laugh, “because it’s race he’s pissy about.”

meanwhile, you were sat inside of a fast food restaurant surrounded by a group of curious boys.
“stray kids, huh? aren’t you going to get, like, guillotined for conversing with your enemies?” a boy, who jaemin had identified as lucas, joked.
you laughed, “nah, we keep the competition in the water.”
“tell that to that one guy, he seemed like he didn’t get that memo.” spoke another one of jaemin’s teammates, one you couldn’t remember the name of.
you cocked your head to the side in confusion, and he continued.
“blonde, curly hair. bang, maybe?”
“oh, chan!” he’s just upset about his race, i think.”
“whatever his name is, he’s scary.” spoke the boy you think introduced himself as jeno.
“yeah,” jaemin chuckled, “honestly, i thought i was gonna get my shit rocked. like maybe i’d asked his girlfriend out or something.”
you blushed, letting out a surprised laugh “girlfriend?”
did it really seem like you and chan might be a couple? did chan really seem jealous that jaemin asked you to hang out? you felt butterflies in your stomach at the idea. despite being out on a ‘date’ with jaemin and surrounded by his attractive friends, you still found yourself feeling weaker at the thought of chan than any of the boys around you at that moment.
“yeah, he did not look like he liked the idea of me asking you out, to be honest.”
you didn’t think it was possible, but your face reddened even more. before you could respond that chan was just always super protective of his team, your phone went off, signaling that you’d gotten a text message.
you held your phone up, “speak of the devil.”
channie: hey, let me know when you get home safe, yeah??
you smiled at the message, typing a quick reply.
y/n: gotcha
chan’s message reminded you that it was indeed a school night, and that you should probably head home. you slid your phone back in your pocket and turned to jaemin.
“hey, i should get going, there’s school tomorrow. see you around?”
jaemin shot you a big smile, pulling his phone from his pocket and holding it out for you.
“i would love to see you around. i’ll text you?” he questioned, to which you responded with a smile, taking the device from his hand.
you typed your number into jaemin’s phone, sending yourself a message from it so you would have his number, too.
“need a ride home?”
“no, thank you,” you replied, “i’ll call a cab or something, you stay and have fun. thanks, though!”
you called for a taxi and send a quick message to chan.
y/n: just called a taxi. on my way home.
channie: he isn’t giving you a ride?
y/n: i didn’t want one
chan, sitting in the backseat of his own cab, felt his stomach drop.
channie: did something happen? are you okay?
y/n: i’m fine, just didn’t wanna make them leave just because i wanted to head home.
chan relaxed into his seat.
y/n: how about you guys? headed home soon?
channie: i am. i’m not sure about the others.
y/n: ?
channie: i left early
y/n: still upset about the race?
chan sighed just as the taxi pulled into his driveway. he stepped out, handing a wad of cash to the driver and telling him to keep the change.
he stepped into his house and headed straight to his bedroom, falling onto his mattress. he stared at your message for a few seconds before replying.
channie: something like that.
y/n: it was probably just an off day, don’t beat yourself up about it!
chan looked at your message and tossed his phone on the bed beside him, pulling an arm over his face and groaning in frustration. he was worn out from the day, not even having the energy to shower the chlorine off of himself, he decided he was just going to go to sleep as soon as possible. just as he was nearly dozed off, his phone let out a ding.
y/n: home safe and sound! night, chan
he didn’t bother typing a reply, letting himself fall into a restless sleep.

chan woke the next morning sporting the same outfit as the day before. he grabbed for his phone to check the time, having a mini heart attack when realizing he only had 40 minutes to shower, get ready, eat, and drive to school.
he jumped up, grabbing a random assortment of clothes and headed to the bathroom. he hissed when he got into the shower and felt his skin burn, it was cracking from not having the chlorine washed off of it from the night before.
he and the rest of the boys always had cracked knuckles and chapped lips from being in chlorine so much, but it got significantly worse when the chlorine didn’t get washed off as soon as possible.
he hurried to ready himself before jumping into his car without eating anything. if he wanted to get to school on time, he’d have to skip breakfast.
chan arrived in the school with five minutes to spare, which wasn’t a completely unusual amount of time, just a bit less than he would usually like. heading to his locker, he caught sight of you standing in front of your own, staring down at your phone. he offered a small “hey” as he walked past you and opened his locker.
upon noticing him, you shut your phone off and shoved it into your back pocket.
he looked from you to his locker, speaking as he focused on putting what he needed for the day in his bag.
“have fun last night?”
“yeah! the NCT boys are super nice. you guys would love them!”
“yeah,” chan mumbled, “i’m sure i would.”
with that, you walked past him and towards your first hour class, playfully shoving him as you passed him. it earned you a small smile, and that was enough to make you think his mood from the night before had improved, but he still felt the same cloud of confusion and frustration as he watched you walk down the hallway. he hated himself for thinking it, but just for a small second, he wondered if maybe it would be easier if something had happened and you didn’t like jaemin and his friends.
you and chan didn’t share any morning classes, so he wasn’t able to see you again until lunch, and that was probably good. he decided it would be best to attempt to shove his emotions as far down as possible and act as normal around you as he could, hoping maybe the feelings would go away as quickly as they had came.
because of this, he made no attempt to sit by you at lunch, but tried to converse with you normally, just as the other boys did. just like he did before he realized his feelings towards you. the boys were making it very difficult for him to keep his calm, though, when they wouldn’t leave the topic of you and jaemin alone.
“so, y/n,” jisung teased, “you gonna leave us for NCT and your hot new boy toy?”
you threw a fry from your plate at him with a laugh, “he is not my ‘boy toy’ jisung, he’s my friend. plus, i’d never leave you guys.”
“even if NCT beats us in competition again?” minho pouted.
you smiled at the boy sat across from you on the table, leaning down to rest your elbows on the table as you spoke, “even if they beat us in comp this year.”
minho smiled at you from across the table, eyes glancing over to chan seated beside him for a moment before focusing back on you.
it was obvious to minho that chan had feelings for you, and vice versa. how no one else had caught on he had no clue.
minho thought of himself as a good friend. good friends help their friends out, and even though maybe the idea of pissing chan off after the shot he’d thrown at minho the night before could have been enough for minho to pull a stunt, it did help that good could come out of it. after all, maybe a little jealousy was the shove chan needed to finally ask you out.
minho decided that since chan wasn’t even looking at you, choosing to stare down at his food instead, he would make him look at you.
he reached cross the table and ruffled your hair, “that’s my girl.”
he snuck another glance at chan. it was apparent that although he hadn’t been looking at you, he was listening to what was happening. his head had slightly raised and his eyes were locked onto minho.
deciding to push his friends buttons a bit more, minho locked eyes with chan and cocked his head, pulling a painfully obvious fake look of concern, “you look grumpy, bud, what’s up?”
chan forced an equally fake smile back, sitting up straight and dropping his fork onto his lunch tray with a loud clang.
“just tired.”
minho hummed in response, barely acknowledging chan’s response before turning back to you.
“y/n, i gotta go to the library before lunch ends. come with?”
you nodded, not having caught on to the tension between minho and chan. it wasn’t hard to miss, especially when no one else at the table was paying it any attention either.
“actually, minho.” chan stood from his seat and placed a hand on minho’s shoulder, “coach wanted to see you. you know, about your race yesterday.”
minho raised an eyebrow, “can’t he talk to me at practice?”
“nope,” chan offered no further explanation before grabbing his tray and heading to dump it in the trash. he motioned minho to follow him, “let’s go.”
minho jogged to catch up with chan as he lead them both to an empty hallway.
“isn’t coaches office that way?” minho gestured in the opposite direction.
chan scoffed, “you know damn well that was an excuse. come on dude, stop fucking with me.”
minho raised his eyebrows, feigning innocence, “what do you mean?”
“oh my god minho, you know what i mean.”
minho shrugged, “clearly not. why else would i be asking?”
“because you’re a fucking prick.” chan muttered.
he sighed, running a hand down his face and taking a deep breath, “i know you know i like her, okay? i mean,” he put his hands up and mimicked quotation marks, “‘i would never do that to you.’” he let his hands fall to his side, “you knew before i did. so stop being an asshole. i can’t make the stupid crush go away if i’m pissed off 24-fucking-7 because you’re hitting on her.”
chan ran his hands through his hair. he’d never even admitted it to himself out loud before. this was the first time he’d heard himself say it out loud. he didn’t know if saying it out loud or telling someone would help, but minho obviously already knew. there was no harm in admitting something to someone who knew before you did.
“chan, this is how me and the rest of the boys have always been around her. like yeah, i’ve amped it up a bit recently so you’d finally get it through your thick fucking skull that you’re in love with her and i’ll calm it down again when you’ve stopped being a pussy, but it’s not something that’s going completely away. not from me, not from any of the boys, and honestly dude, probably not from jaemin. you can’t expect her to stop having fun with her friends simply because you’re crushing on her. not even when you’re dating her.” he paused before continuing, “if you end up dating her. jaemin seems to have more balls than you.”
chan groaned, “i know, minho.”
“then make a move.”
“i’m not making a move.”
minho frowned, “what? why not?”
“i’m just not, minho.” his words came out harsher than he’d intended, “but can you please just stop? just until i can shake these stupid fucking feelings, then you can go back to trying to get into her pants.”
minho shoved him, “if i wanted into y/n’s pants, i’d be in them.” he nudged chan again, “but seriously dude, why shake reciprocated feelings?”
chan finally brought his eyes to meet minho’s again, “what?”
minho feigned confusion, “what?”
“repeat that.”
“repeat what?”
“the thing you said about feelings.”
“oh,” minho began, “i said why shake the feelings?”
“that’s not what you said.”
minho frowned, “i’m pretty sure that’s what i said.”
“no,” chan pressed, “you added another word. what did you say?”
minho shook his head, pretending to think about it. “no, i think that’s like word for word what i said.”
chan shoved him, “minho, seriously, what did you say?”
instead of a proper response, minho looked towards the ceiling of the school. he’d given chan enough advice for the day.
“i think that was the bell. i gotta go. see you at practice!”
“minho!” chan yelled as minho jogged down the hallway. the bell had most definitely not sounded, “asshole.”

skeletons & ramen 🎃
-> pairing: lee minho x reader
-> genre: fluff, halloween au, college au
-> words: 3k (prologue included)
-> happy halloween folks !! this is a part of the @districtninewriters halloween collaboration !! check out the prologue and other amazing artists who also participated <3
-> warnings: mentions of alcohol and drinking, swearing and i think that is it :’)

“No effin’ way did I spend all this time doing your makeup for you to stay at this party for ten minutes. Get your ass out there and at least talk to someone.”
BamBam’s words replayed in your head as you glanced around the party. It was impressive; you’d give him that. Your best friend was known for the ragers he threw, and his annual Halloween party was no exception. With loud music, expensive decorations ranging from a 12-foot-skeleton on the lawn to fog machines, and costumes required – “and none of that ‘just throwing on a witch’s hat’ either, that shit’s weak” – it won party of the year before it even occurred.
And you didn’t want to come. It wasn’t that you didn’t like his parties. On the contrary, you really enjoyed them. But this year, the party was on Halloween night, which just so happened to be a Saturday. Your first midterm of the semester? Bright and early Monday morning at 8 a.m. sharp.
“You have to come!” BamBam had said when you first mentioned skipping the party. You could already tell he was dangerously close to pulling out his puppy-dog eyes, as you called them, and if he did that, you were a goner.
You sighed. “It’s not that I don’t want to, Bam. It’s just that my first midterm is super early Monday morning, and I really, really need to study for it,” you said.
“So study on Sunday!” he argued. “You know I can’t have a party without my best friend there. Not to mention, I’ve already put so much thought into how I would do your makeup for your skeleton costume. Don’t make me have done research in vain. Please?”
That’s how you had ended up at the party. Your plan had initially been to stay for half an hour, but when you went to tell BamBam, he wasn’t having it. That’s when he had dropped the line about how much effort he had put into your makeup, shoving you out of the kitchen and into the lounge.
As you looked around the room, you figured it wouldn’t kill you to talk to someone for a few minutes. But who?
You see a drunk guy from your literature class, Changbin, and his friend that has attended the party in a horse mask for the third year in a row, Jisung, in the corner of the spacious room. You know what, maybe they are not the best people to talk to at this college party.
Your classmate Lia and her friends that dressed up as power rangers are sitting on the sofa with a senior very well known as the friendly guy Chan dressed up as a cowboy, downing shots of tequila and singing loudly at the top of their lungs. You contemplate the choice for a moment, but decide against it when they turn to sing Into the unknown for the thirtieth time tonight, scrunching up your face in pure horror.
Another choice are the party animals Hyunjin and Felix dressed up as peanut butter and jelly, dancing to whatever song comes out of the loud speakers. Yeah, you could never keep up with them.
The last few people in your sight are in a circle, laughing loudly, bottles of beer, soju and various other alcohol secured in their hands. You see your classmates Jeongin and Seungmin in there, but you don’t know any other people there, so you decide to just let them be.
Maybe you have no other choice, then to leave.
“Yah! We’re matching!” you hear a voice from beside you call, looking at the person and frowning in confusion. What on the earth is he talking about?
But then it hits you. The guy has skeleton makeup on his face, an all-black outfit fitting his body and a huge, obnoxious grin on his face. You really are matching, well, apart from the optimistic expression on his face very much different from yours, on the other hand, disgusted from the whole situation.
“Oh. You’re right. My friend BamBam actually did the makeup, so it’s not really my fault, though.” you smirk, watching the boy growing closer to you and inspecting the makeup on your face.
“Looks like him and Han Jisung watched the same youtube tutorial,” he mutters, making you burst out in laughter.
“Jisung? You mean to tell me that the guy who attends in a horse mask every year did your makeup today?” you ask in disbelief, rewarded by his adorable giggle.
“Yeah, well, I told him I wasn’t going to the party, because I didn’t have a costume, so he told me he was just going to turn me into a skeleton to force me to go with him.” he explains.
“Looks like he did a much better job than BamBam did, anyway,” you point out, examining the work on his face. At this point, you’re going to go to Jisung to do your makeup for your cousin’s wedding you’re attending next month, because his skills are really good, to be honest.
“I appreciate the rhinestones on yours, though. A pretty detail,” he laughs, making you roll your eyes.
“Yeah, BamBam likes finishing touches.” you smile.
You’re kind of getting flustered under his gaze, so you quickly turn to look to the ground in response. The fact that you didn’t even drink tonight wasn’t helping you get loose a tiny bit, your shy side showing right after there was a silence in the conversation.
“Wait, you’re telling me you’re friends with BamBam and we somehow still don’t know each other?” asks the friendly stranger, making you look up at his face again.
“Umm, yeah.” you nod.
“And you know Jisung as well.” he points out.
“Yeah, well, everybody knows Jisung, so…” you say.
“Yeah, but we have so many mutual friends, yet we still don’t know each other… that’s strange. Well, anyways, I’m Minho.” he smiles, putting a hand to you to shake it.
“Nice to meet you, Minho. I’m y/n.” you smile at him and take his hand to shake it. His grip is firm, but not painful, the presence of his skin on yours making you slightly excited.
You were never that good with meeting new people, so to have a stranger introduce themselves to you unprohibited, it felt good. Well, maybe BamBam was right about going to the party. Maybe you’ll even have a new friend after this, and god knows you need some new friends, because you’re certain hanging out with BamBam constantly kind of makes some of your brain cells disappear.
“Wanna get something to drink?” smiles the skeleton boy, on which you nod and follow him back to the kitchen where you’ve come from, seeing that it was now pretty much empty apart from the couple wearing matching costumes of Joker and Harley Quinn making out on the kitchen counter.
You take a bottle of peach soju and see Minho do the same, cringing at the smacking noises and quickly pulling you away from the kitchen by the elbow, rolling his eyes in the process. “Can’t they just leave it for when they come home?”
“I’m so sorry for BamBam, I swear if he has to clean the kitchen counter from sperm again this year, he’s going to seriously lose it-”
"Again?"
“Yeah, people get real wild out here.” you nod and try to erase the flashbacks coming back into your head from seeing your terrified and disgusted best friend cleaning the place with kitchen towels and some Clorox.
“Ew. See? This is why I didn’t even want to come in the first place.” says Minho with a disgusted expression on his face.
“You too?”
“Yeah, I hate parties!” exclaims the boy, throwing his arms in the air to gesture to the packed lounge.
“I know, right? I was actually supposed to be studying at the moment, but BamBam insisted on me coming, so I kinda had to, you know.” you blurb out, taking a sip from the soju in your hand.
“Studying. On a Saturday evening.” he gazes onto you, making you feel kind of stupid for sounding like the biggest nerd in the world. Yeah, you cared about your grades, but you weren’t as crazy as it sounded in the first place.
“Yeah, well, I have a midterm on Monday, so-”
“Oh. I got you.” he nods, licking his lips and taking his first sip of the peach alcohol in his hand, making you just awkwardly stare at his face in the process.
“Well, y/n,” starts Minho as he finishes drinking, “not to sound creepy or something, but do you wanna get out of here? Since we both kind of hate parties and our best friends got what they wanted…” he says, almost looking nervous at his question, making you just shyly nod.
“Yeah, sure.” you agree. You’re pretty sure BamBam won’t notice if you leave now, and if he does, well, you spoke to someone. That means you did what he wanted you to do. He can’t be mad now.
“Okay. I’ll be taking this with me.” laughs Minho as he shows you the half-empty bottle of soju in his hand, making you giggle as you show him yours and nod in response, telling him you’ll be doing the same as the two of you go to the front door. You were wearing your black coat through the whole evening and from the looks of his black leather jacket, it looked like he was too, so there was no reason for the two of you to stay at the party longer and look for your things.
“Let’s go!” you muse, going out of the house with Minho by your side, the chilly breeze and silence hitting you in the face in a weird, but comforting way.
“And where are we even going?” asks Minho, making you stop in your tracks and giggle.
“I don’t know.” you shrug, watching his amused smirk only grow wider.
“Let’s just… walk around for a while, I guess?” you say, receiving a nod from him in return as you start walking side by side in the neighbourhood.
You both keep talking to each other and getting to know each other, learning that Minho is studying dance and not business like most of your mutual friends, and you, do, which is probably why you’d never met before. You manage to make him show you some of his dance moves, both of you slightly tipsy now, giggling at his silly dance in the middle of the street. It was easy, talking to Minho.
“Let’s go trick or treating!” he cheers, making you laugh.
“We’re 21, Minho, nobody will give us any treats.” you say, refusing to get yourself through that kind of embarrassing dumbassery on this wonderful Saturday evening.
“Nobody can see we’re too old for it through this makeup,” pouts Minho, making you laugh even harder. You’re not even sure if it’s the alcohol in your veins that makes everything he says and does so funny to you, but you just know his presence makes you giggle quite a lot.
“They can definetly see, Minho, they’re not dumb.” you say, patting him on his shoulder.
“Hmm,” he pouts, but only for a minute before he manages to change the topic with a sudden information, “I’m in a mood for some ramen.”
“Yeah, same. I haven’t had ramen in so long, dude,” you muse, your mouth already full of saliva only at the thought of the food coming in your sight.
“Let’s have ramen, then,” shrugs Minho and paces quickly in a different direction.
“Yah, where are you going?”
“To the supermarket for some ramen! And then, we’re going to my place and we’re going to eat some ramen.” he explains, not even letting you a moment to disagree with his statement as you jog to catch up with him. Perhaps he notices your alarmed expression on your face, making him quickly reassure you and your noisy thoughts.
“Don’t worry, y/n, I’m not gonna kill you. You can come over, I swear.” he says, but after he sees you still biting on your lower lip in nerves, he stops in his tracks and gazes into your eyes to comfort you.
“Really. You can trust me. We even have mutual friends, remember?” his expression is soft, dreamy, almost, making you instantly relax and nod.
“Okay.” you say, clearly missing what stranger danger means, but you feel like you can trust Minho. Right?
“Okay. Let’s go.” he nods, cheeringly going in the direction of the supermarket again, with you by his side, singing a popular song under his breath in the process.
After an enormous amount of laughter and one argument over which ramen you two should buy, you two finally reach the cashier that looked rather uninterested until she saw you, smiling and giggling under her breath. You place the two packs of ramen onto the counter, waiting for the girl to check you up and give you your delicious food into your hands.
“What a lovely couple you two are.” she smiles at the two of you after reaching out her hands in front of you with the ramen in her hold.
“We are not a couple, actually…” you mumble, feeling quite shy at her comment.
“Oh, but the matching costume…”
“That was a coincidence, really,” you laugh awkwardly, wanting to be finally on your way to Minho’s apartment, when Minho smirks behind you.
“We’re not a couple yet, but you know, perhaps this was all destiny,” he jokes, making you turn around and playfully elbow him in the ribs, a joyful giggle followed by your skeleton companion.
“I’m just joking, chill,” he says, thanking the cashier and taking the ramen into his hands, escaping the supermarket and leading you into his apartment.
The journey there is comfortable, but the atmosphere quickly changes as you reach his place, taking off your shoes to not dirty his, surprisingly, clean apartment, taking off your jacket and looking at Minho standing in the doorway and watching you. “Well, here we are. Welcome.”
“Thanks.” you shyly respond, not really knowing what to do at this point.
“Come on in, don’t just stand there,” scoffs Minho, leading you into the kitchen to cook the ramen with you right after him, watching your every step and looking around in the dark apartment, silently appreciating his choice of interior design.
“Meow!” you hear from the dark room, making you jump.
“Wow!” you jolt out, making Minho turn around to laugh at your shocked face, dropping the packs of ramen to the table and picking up his cat from under it to show it to you.
“Yeah, I kinda forgot to tell you… I have three cats, this is Soonie. Say hello, Soonie,” smiles Minho and takes the cat’s pow into his hand to make it wave to you, finally calming down your racing heart.
“Oh my god, that scared me.” you giggle, petting the cat’s head. “She’s adorable.” you mumble.
“I know, right? You should see your face,” giggles Minho, “and this is Doongie and Dori.” he says pointing at the two cats that were, very much not to your knowledge, following you to the kitchen. You shyly wave at them and mumble a quiet “Hi” to the creatures, watching them take their respectful seats under the table again.
The conversation flows freely right after, the slight scare that Minho’s cats brought you making the atmosphere much less awkward, seating yourself at his kitchen table and watching him take his role in the kitchen and cooking the ramen you’ve just bought, appreciating the way he moves through the room and still manages to keep you entertained in the conversation.
“Here you go.” smiles Minho as he places the plate with the finished food on the table in front of you, a proud grin plastered on his skeleton face.
“Thanks!” you muse, diving right in to the steaming food, slurping and enjoying every single bite of it. You know ramen is not exactly that hard to prepare, but damn did it taste amazing in the late hours of the night, hitting every nerve.
“It tastes so fucking good.” you mumble, your mouth still full of noodles.
“Chef Lee right at your service,” bows Minho, making you giggle.
In the process of eating, though, you feel a rhinestone fall off your face on the table. You frown, examining it, making another one fall down, realising that it was the steam from the ramen that made the eyelash glue BamBam put on your face dissolve and ruin your beautiful makeup.
“Wanna take it off? It’s late and it’s coming off by itself, anyway,” he asks, making you nod without a hesitation, following him into the bathroom without even washing the dishes.
Minho takes some moisturizer and a tissue from his cupboard, making you silently curse yourself for not taking makeup wipes with you and having to turn to this poor alternative, seeing how he carefully applies the cream to the fabric and moves it to your face.
“Can I?” he asks, suddenly, taking you by surprise.
“I mean… sure?”
You take a seat on the bathroom sink, watching his every move as he stands close to you and starts taking your makeup off. The action is quite relaxing as you close your eyes and let him carefully do his work, wondering how you even ended up in here. The moment feels intimate, yet you’ve only known Minho for a few hours, but you feel strangely safe in his presence as he takes care of you. You yawn a little after a few minutes, suddenly sleepy from the relaxing motions of his hand.
“Tired?” he muses, his voice low in the quiet.
You only hum in return, opening your eyes once he’s finished, finding him gazing at you with an unexplainable expression on his face.
“What?”
“Nothing.” he shakes his head and moves further away from your body, “I’ll take mine off and then I can walk you home if you’re feeling sleepy.” he says, making you nod.
Yeah, you feel kind of sad that your night with your new friend is coming to an end, but you can’t stay with him until the morning, right? And it’s getting quite late, anyway. Besides, something inside of you is telling you that this is not the last time you’re meeting the guy you’ve accidentally matched with on BamBam’s halloween party.
So you opt to wait for him in his living room, sitting at the comfortable blue sofa, surrounded by his three cats that take their seats close to you.
You don’t even know when you fall asleep when a handsome face wakes you up from your slumber, whispering into your ear as he gently picks you up from the sofa.
“I’ll let you sleep in my bed tonight. You don’t have to worry, I’ll take the couch.” he smiles when he sees your eyes open and gaze onto his face.
His features look mesmerizing, eye catching, even, without the heavy makeup that managed to hide them quite well. It was hard to make up his face behind the makeup, but when you fianally see it for the first time, you can’t help but find him really pretty. You feel kind of silly for thinking the thought and mentally slap yourself when doing so, but you just can’t stop thinking about how you find him just so beautiful. Maybe it’s the sleep taking over you, who knows?
“Sweet dreams, y/n. I’ll walk you home tomorrow, then.” he whispers into your ear, smiling at you when he drops you onto his bed.
“Sweet dreams, Minho.”
Yeah, it’s silly.
But you definitely fell asleep that night with your new friend on your mind.
Perhaps the matching costumes really were a destiny.

Broken parts
masterlist 💌
hwang hyunjin, lee minho
warning: angst, curse words, fluff
----------
"Can you listen to me?" You huff for the 3rd time trying to get Hyunjin's attention. He has been playing with Felix all afternoon and you, for not leaving him alone, let him do it even though you want to go home to spend time with him.
"Hmmm... That's wrong y/n?" He mumbles not even looking at you. You roll your eyes. Every time he calls you by your name, he isn't focus on you even if he says so.
You stand up and go to the door after grabbing your purse. It's already late and you're so tired after spending your only free day there.
"Hey, you're leaving already?" Minho grabs your shoulder and turns you around. You feel your eyes tearing up and you shake your head trying to make them go away.
"N-nothing, I'm just really tired Min... I can't with this shit anymore." You sob trying not to make so much noise.
"Oh-h I'm so sorry, I thought things were going well with Hyunjin. He always praises you so much." Minho makes his hand go through his hair. You notice it's a little bit damp, maybe he got out of the shower not so long ago.
"Ugh, I hope that was a reality. He ignores me and makes excuses. I don't see him as much as before..." You wipe a tear quickly from your eye and you see Minho staring at you with a soft look on his face. "P-please don't look at me like that." You cover your face with your hand and he pulls you into a hug.
"I'm so sorry, I just I could make things better for you." He kindly goes through your hair, making you relax and calm.
"This helps a lot. Thank you Min." You detach yourself from him and kiss his cheek. He blushes making you giggle.
You open the door and exit while seeing Minho go back to his bedroom with his head low. Hyunjin is so in deep with the play that he doesn't even the door closing.
-------
Back home already, it's so late and you roll in bed trying to sleep. Hyunjin hasn't call or send text. You feel yourself breaking down again, hopeless and hoping maybe that he will snap out of it.
You feel your phone vibrating as you drift to sleep.
----
Knocks on the door wake up you. Dim light enters your bedroom, the sky is purpleish outside pointing the sunrise.
You groan and get yourself out of bed walking towards the door.
You open and see your boyfriend standing there. Hyunjin's face expression is a mystery, you can't tell if he's sad, angry or something else.
"Are you okay? Come in" You move to the side, he passes next to you giving you a quick kiss in the forehead.
"I know is super early, but I have to travel in two hours and I wanted to see you before I go." He leans over the kitchen counter, making you get closer to him for a hug. You feel a like uncomfortable in his arms, why seeking attention now when last night he had you?
“I’m sleepy Jin, can I go back to bed?” You pout trying to disguise your anger building inside.
“I just came to see you before my trip. I’ll be away for two weeks and all you want to do is sleep?” He lets you go and goes to the balcony to get some air. You know he’s annoyed as well but you can’t help it, you need to be around him. You roll your eyes and lazily follow him. You hug him from behind, your cold hands touching his warm body, making him shiver and tight his muscles a bit.
“I’ll miss you Jin, don’t act like it’s not like that.”
“Last night you went away and not even letting me know. I’m still mad about it.”
“Mad? You think you are in the position to be mad?” You huff and that makes Hyunjin turns around and face your body and face. You swallow harshly. “I was there for you, but you decided to spent your day with Felix knowing we wouldn’t be together for a few weeks.”
“But-t y/n... I-I” He groans as his hand brushes his hand. You can clearly see that you put him in a tricky position. “I was so stressed. You know I love you but I have to spend time with the boys too.” You try to make the knot in your throat go away but it is impossible. It isn’t the first time Hyunjin did something like this and you are already tired about that.
“Don’t worry. Have a safe trip love.” You peck his lips as you point the door with your head. Hyunjin makes a weird look but don’t say a word about it. He leaves and there you are again, alone and a bit heartbroken.
----------
A week has already passed and you barely have heard from Hyunjin. You start to get worry because he has being ignoring your calls or sending really short text saying that he’s okay or alive. That’s not enough, no longer.
“Minho?” It really late at night when Minho picks up the phone. Its dawn for you and nighttime for him.
“Hey! How are you?” You can hear laughter in the background. You quickly recognized Hyunjin’s voice.
“Not well, are you with the boys?”
“Yeah, wait a little bit.” You can hear Minho saying that he’s going back to his bedroom to sleep. The boys make fun of him for going early and you hear the door closing.
“Thanks, Hyunjin was there?” You try to contain your tears but is impossible.
“Yeah, why don’t you call him?” Minho’s voices clearly sound worried.
“I have but he’s ignoring me. I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I’m so done with him Min... i’m so tired to be in one-side relationship.” A sob escaped your lips and Minho’s breathing became rapid.
“No, love. Please don’t cry. I know you have been through a rough path but please, don’t give up on him. You know I love you but please understand him, Hyunjin’s head is not always on earth.” Minho laughs in an awkward way. You hear the click of the door, pointing that he’s alone in his room.
“Why he can’t be more like you-u? Why he has to-o take me for granted? Minho I’m over, I can’t do-o this anymore-e.” You cry really hard, you can’t even speak properly.
“Y/n....” He sighs at the phone. “You’re breaking my heart. Don’t cry please. I’ve known you since a long time and believe me, if I knew you would be suffering because of this, I would never have introduce Hyunjin...”
“It’s okay-y Min.” You wipe your tears with the back of your hand. “I’ll be okay, but please... If he mentions me, don’t say anything. I need to know if he truly wants this to be present.” You sniff and try to make the tears go away.
“I will. Promise me one thing y/n.”
“What is it?” You giggle a bit, expecting something dumb from Minho.
“If you end things with Hyunjin, please be with a person that truly appreciates you and loves you as much as I have doing this past few years... Please promise me that.” Your heart sink in seconds, Minho was saying that as a friend or something more.
“I-I promise Min. I love you too.” You hang up and go to sleep.
Everything goes around and around in your head. Your sad thoughts about Hyunjin and your soon-to-be inexistent relationship. Minho’s feelings and the mess they’ve cause in your heart.
---------------------
Today is the day, the day that they come back and you have to face Hyunjin again. You are on edge all day, waiting for him to get back but time passes and it’s already midnight and nothing from him. Minho have texted to earlier saying that everything went okay with the flight and they were back in the dorms. That was it for you.
You feel knocking in the front door, with an uneasy feeling and sweaty hands you go and open the door.
“Hey love, I’ve missed you.” Hyunjin quickly hugs you and puts his lips into yours. Not really feeling it, you put yourself away from him.
“Hey, how’s everything going?” Ypu go by his side and grab the cup of tea you made earlier. You point the balcony with the little two-body sofa and drag yourself there, Hyunjin following your path.
“Great! Everything came out really well and it was so exciting.” He sits in front from you, his hand in his thighs. You curl up in the sofa and staring at him.
“That’s great... But I have to tell you something.” You leave the cup in the table in between both of you and start rubbing your kneels nerviously. “I don’t know if I can keep doing this.”
“Doing what? You mean us?” Hyunjin’s look seems so lost, he can’t even comprehend what you’re saying.
“Yeah... I mean, I don’t feel like we are in a relationship anymore.” You raise your sight and his eyes seem so dark.
“How can you say that?”
“You always ignore me, you never texted or called back this time when you went away.” You feel tears forming in your eyes and shake your head to make them go away. In the other side, Hyunjin’s face expression is getting tougher by every second it goes by and his fist start to get whiter.
“Are you fucking kidding me? I did! Don’t lie about it!” Hyunjin raises his voices making you shiver a bit. “I did y/n, don’t expect me to be 24/7 latching onto you.” He rolls his eyes and huffs, he’s so annoyed but you can’t handle this anymore.
“Well you shouldn’t have a girlfriend then... If you don’t know what commitment looks like.” You say to his face, you can decode his look but you know what you said it’s the truth. He stands up in front of you, just analyzing your face as he bites his bottom lip.
“Don’t even say that, you knew how was going to be since the start!” He yells and you start to cry.
“I don’t want it anymore, I don’t want you or your pity love. Go away, I’m done.... We are over Hyunjin.” You stand up and go by his side, quickly go to the front door and leaving it open for him to go. You go back to your bedroom and close the door.
Lying on bed you start to cry hard as you suddenly feeling the hard slam of the door. After some minutes you pick yourself up and go back outside, he’s gone.
---------------------------------
“Please open up! y/n it’s me!” You feel his voice outside your door and run to let him enter.
There he is, Minho in sweatpants and messy hair. A few minutes ago you called him and all you could do was cry. He didn’t ask what happened, just took the car and drive to your apartment.
“It’s okay love, I’m here,” You hug him so hardly, leaving his hoodie wet with your tears.
“Why-y does it hurts? I knew I wanted him out of my life because he was hurting me so much!” You couldn’t control yourself. All of the things you let Hyunjin pass, they were building up till this point. You feel broken mainly because you let yourself down.
“It does love, that’s how relationships work.”
-------
You wake up the next morning with a terrible headache, puffy eyes and you feel yourself heavy. You are in your room but Minho is sleeping next to you. His sleepy face makes him look so soft, so much different from everything you've seen before. You peck his cheek with a kiss and he smiles.
You pull yourself up and go to the kitchen to make coffee but the door sounds suddenly. You go to open and there's Hyunjin, his hair is a mess, his clothes doesn't even match and he's staring at you with puppy eyes.
"Can we talk-k?" He sobs softly but you don't let him in.
"I don't want to see you. I'm done okay." You try to close the door but his hand is quicker and prevents it from closing.
"Throwing one year to the trash that easily? Ugh" He makes that sound and you roll youe eyes. This wasn't the guy you felt in love a long time ago.
"Yes. I'm tired. You only care about yourself. I prefer to be alone rather being by your side." You clench your jaw hardly, you see as Hyunjin swallows hard.
"I love you, please... I'll change." You raise your head and watch his expression getting softer, his eyes tearing up.
"I don't know Hyunjin, please go."
"Call me please, if you need anything." His hand reaches yours, you squeeze it and let him go. You grab the door again and close it as he walks away.
You feel hot tears running down your cheeks, trying to wipe them away, Minho's hand is faster, making youe cheeks dry with his thumb.
"You deserve better y/n." You grab him by the waist and pull yourself into him, feeling his arms grabbing you in no time. His hand strokes your hair gently. "I didn't what you to see your suffer just to be able to realize how much I love you." Minho says whispering almost to himself.
You detach yourself from him and watch him as he curse under his breath.
"I should have said something before. I've love you since forever until Hyunjin made his way into my life." You cry again and kiss his cheek. "Maybe this was meant to be. Like, ending up things with Hyunjin... Giving us a chance it would work but I need time."
"Princess, I'll wait for you. You're my dream come true. I can heal your broken parts."

The Hunt Is On
It’s been a little while since the last time I’ve actually posted a story to my blog. But I’m really happy to present this sort of long one-shot fic. I got the idea after the recently released Romance Point slot in Wizardess Heart, I’m 99.9% sure that little plush is Felix and being the absolute lovestruck idiot I am for this man I just couldn’t help myself. So here’s a small story of Felix being a plush and showing his Tsundere side towards a certain red-haired wizardess.
“Hey, did you hear the big news?”
“Huh? What news?”
Gray and I were just leaving the book club session and were walking down the hallway when he brought it up.
“I guess there’s some rumour going around about a new magical creature.”
“S-Seriously?! That’s incredible! Is there a name for it yet?”
“Nope.” Gray shook his head with a smile. “Buuut I heard that whoever catches it will get to name it.” He added happily.
“Catch it? The poor little thing..”
“Huh? Just a second ago you were so excited.”
“I-I am, believe me. It’s just...well, if there are a lot of people trying to catch it, don’t you think it might be a little scared?”
“I suppose you’re right.” Gray put his hand under his chin and looked lost in thought.
“Gray?”
“Ah, sorry, I was just thinking.”
“About?”
“Well, what if we were to catch it, but without chasing after it? Maybe it wouldn’t get so scared?”
“Oh, I like that idea! What did you have in mind?”
“A hole!”
“Gray!”
“Hear me out, Nadia. It’ll be a nice sized hole and I’ll even add cushioning to the bottom of it so that the creature won’t get hurt. Then, when I need to get it out, I’ll use a pail attached to a fishing pole and drag it up like a well!”
“Gray...I have so many questions about this, but the most important one is what are you thinking?! The poor thing would be even more terrified!”
“What if I offer it cookies?”
“Cookies can’t fix every problem.”
“Are you sure? I thought everyone liked cookies, I mean who doesn’t like cookies?”
“Gray…” I chuckled while watching him go on a tangent about cookies.
“But seriously, I think my plan won’t fail.”
“I’m sorry to say, but Gray, I have my doubts about it.”
“Hm? Then what would you suggest doing?”
“Well I…”
Huh...what did I have in mind? It was true that I wanted to see the magical creature for myself, but I really didn’t want to go chasing after the poor thing or make it feel like it was in danger. I had to ponder my options carefully but alas, no such idea was popping up in my head at the moment.
“To be honest, I don’t really have a plan.” I sighed.
“That’s okay, maybe on your way back to the dorms you’ll figure one out.”
“Here’s to hoping!”
“What are you two talking about?”
“Uh-oh…” Gray laughed.
“Zeus? What are you doing here?”
“I came here looking for you two.”
“What for?”
“You’ve heard the big news right?”
“I just got done filling Nadia in about it.”
“Then you know why I need you guys.”
“Sorry, but I already have my own plan.” Gray responded confidently. “It’ll be sure to succeed!”
“Tsk! Well, what about you Nadia?”
“To be honest, I have a feeling your plan will involve a lot of chasing. Plus the last time you found a magical creature, you practically scared the living daylights out of it!”
“Come on, that was one time! Besides, I heard that if you catch the thing then the Headmaster will give us extra credit.”
“That’s just a hoax.”
A new voice had entered the scene and right behind Zeus came Elias who had his arms folded on his chest.
“Oh great.” Zeus rolled his eyes.
“You don’t seriously believe you’ll get extra credit for something like this, do you?”
“I sure do. If there’s a chance I can get that, then I’m taking it, I mean, you guys want the extra credit too?”
“Hate to break it to you Zeus, but I agree with Elias here. I highly doubt Headmaster Schuyler would provide students extra credit because they caught a newly discovered magical creature. You’d be in for the biggest scolding of your life, that’s for sure.”
“No way, seriously?! Are you here to suck the fun out of Goldilocks the third over here?”
“Hey!”
“I agree with them too, Zeus. I mean, we’re bound to get a scolding for it, a big one too. But I really want to see what this creature is all about.”
“So…” Zeus stared off into space, trying to process everything Gray said. “So are you on my side or not?”
“Nah, I’m on my own side. Team Gray!”
Gray began waving his free hand around as if he had an invisible team spirit flag in his hand.
“Tsk. Fine then. I’ll just get Hiro and Lucious to help me out with this. Oh and don’t come crying to me when I bring home the creature and actually get extra credit, I won’t be sharing nothin’ with you guys.”
Zeus huffed before practically storming away, leaving just Elias, Gray and I to shake our heads and proceed walking down the hall.
“Oh yeah, I wanted to ask before, but what are you doing here, Elias?”
“Oh, I was in the Archives looking for something. On my way out I heard voices and, specifically Zeus’ and thought he was up to no good again.”
Gray began to laugh. “That’s totally understandable. Everyone in the Night Class usually pop their heads out of the classroom when Zeus starts going on a rampage. It’s like they know when he’s about to stir trouble. I just hope he never releases that foul beast in a classroom ever again.”
“Foul beast?”
“Which one? He has a lot at this point, him included.” Elias remarked.
“Vulcanaux.”
The moment that word came out of Gray’s mouth, we all let out a shudder.
“I can’t believe he’s still summoning dangerous beasts like that.”
“Seriously? I can.” Elias interjected.
The three of us continued our little walk and talk session before heading our separate ways. Gray was going to go to the Night Class cafe and Elias offered to walk me back to the dorms. We discussed some prefect things, like deciding what kind of upcoming classes we were going to teach and so on and so forth. The topic of the magical creatures was brought up again too and much to my surprise, Elias admitted that he wouldn’t mind catching a glimpse of the mysterious new magical creature. It wasn’t every day that you got to see something as rare as that.
When we reached the dorms, Elias and I said our goodbyes before splitting off. The moment I reached my room, I unceremoniously dropped my bag to the ground and lazily plopped down on my bed. I was exhausted from classes and the fact that I couldn’t get the thought of the magical creature out of my head wasn’t helping matters at all.
I ended up lying down on my bed and staring at the ceiling for a few hours, unable to find the will to sleep. Too many thoughts were running through my head at the same time and no matter how many times and methods I tried, they just wouldn’t stop. I had even grabbed a pillow and screamed into it, thinking that in some way, all my pent up tiredness would come crashing into me, spoiler alert, it didn’t. The hours ticked by and before I knew it the sun’s early morning rays of light came pouring in through the window. I realized now that it was far too late to try and sleep now, so I decided to go ahead and get ready for classes.
Perhaps a nice cold shower will wake me up? I thought it sounded like a good idea at first, but boy was I wrong. In the end, I just became this cold shivering mess who couldn’t stop shaking enough to even do my hair or put on any makeup to conceal my sleep heavy eyes. Screw it, I’ll just have to leave my hair down for the day and just put on a little bit of concealer under my eyes, assuming I could. I gave one more look in the mirror and gave a satisfied nod. It wasn’t the best work, but it would have to do for now.
When I stepped outside of the dorms, I noticed that the whole Academy seemed lively; well, livelier than usual that is. I saw Guy walking up ahead and quickly raced to catch up to him.
“Good morning, Guy.” I smiled.
“Oh hey, good morning Nadia!”
“Everyone seems to be in super high spirits, I wonder why?”
“Word through the grapevine is that everyone is desperate to catch some new magical creature. Everyone on the Ladilz team was talking about it and even went so far as to come up with ‘fool-proof strategies’ to catch it.”
“Wow…”
I watched as students raced around; a competitive aura was beginning to fill the air.
“I wonder what Schuyler thinks of this.”
“No one knows.” Guy shrugged. “It seems like he’s kept silent since the rumour was first introduced.”
“Strange..”
Guy nodded in agreement. “Very.”
Augustus had walked up to us a little while later and he and Guy walked to class, leaving me to walk by myself. Which was okay by me, besides, I still had a lot on my mind, so much so that I hadn’t realized someone had been screaming at me until I felt a pair of arms pull me from my thoughts and away from a rather big hole in the ground.
“Nadia? Did you not hear me screaming at you to watch out?”
I looked up to see Gray’s face hovering over mine, a look of worry clouded over and when I looked down, I noticed that I was sitting on the ground, just mere inches from the hole. Gray’s hands still wrapped around my waist and I began to feel my cheeks go warm.
“No, I-I suppose I was too far gone in my thoughts to have noticed. I’m sorry.”
“That’s alright.” He smiled. “Just please keep an eye out on your surroundings.”
“R-Right. Umm…”
“Hm?”
“Do you mind..?”
“Huh - Oh!”
Once Gray realized what I was getting at, he quickly released his hold on my waist and scurried back a little bit. He ran his hands through his hair and chuckled awkwardly.
“Sorry about that.”
“It’s alright…”
I quickly got back onto my feet and dusted off my skirt before offering my hand to help Gray back up to his feet.
“Gray...did you do this?” I asked curiously.
“The hole? Sure did!”
“What? Gray!”
“I told you I was going to make one yesterday, remember?”
“But out here near the courtyard?! Lots of students and professors walk through here.”
“Yeah…” Gray began to chuckle nervously. “I didn’t think about it until it was too late.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Oh, I mean that Klaus, Elias and Schuyler fell through the hole, along with some other students.”
“I’m sorry, what?”
“Heh heh, you should have seen the look on their faces, especially Schuyler, man was that priceless. Ah… but after Schuyler fell in he gave me the scolding of a lifetime and I had to cancel my plan. I was about to fill the hole up but then I saw you walking towards it without a care in the world.”
“So much for you’re ‘fool-proof’ plan, huh?”
I received a flick to my forehead from Gray who was pouting.
“First of all rude! Second of all, I haven’t given up yet, I’ll just put a new hole somewhere away from here. I’ll even call it ‘Operation rabbit-hole’, it’ll be sure to succeed this time!”
“Gray…” I sighed.
I couldn’t change Gray’s mind, but I could help him fill up the hole before more chaos was made. Afterwards, I left for my first classes of the day, which seemed to be shorter than usual, in fact, the whole day was shorter. I guess I hadn’t realized that today was a half-day, what a relief it was to find that out.
“Maybe I can finally take a nap…”
“Miss Zaidelle? Is there something you wish to share with the class? Or perhaps you know the answer to my question?”
“Urk…could you...repeat the question by any chance?” I smiled nervously and was greeted to Schuyler’s annoyed sighs.
“Honestly, Nadia, if you’re not going to pay attention in my class, then you’ll have to make yourself useful by staying after and cleaning up the room.”
“W-What? Oh, come on!”
I heard snickers coming from the other side of the classroom, causing me to slump down even further in my chair and wait for this nightmare of a class to end already. Even though the bell rang, I still had to stay back while everyone left. Elias gave me a quick pat on the back and told me everything will be fine and that he would buy us some drinks at the Night Cafe later. I forced a smile and thanked him, and when he left I let out a sigh while I grabbed the nearby broom and began sweeping.
A couple of hours had passed and I had the room looking spotless, everything had been wiped down, cleaned and organized. I stood there and admired my work, feeling rather proud of myself before grabbing my stuff and heading outside. The warm air and cool breeze felt so nice on my skin that I couldn’t help but yawn. The sleep that had been plaguing me all morning was finally taking over and suddenly the thought of taking a nice nap on the lush grass sounded wonderful.
In fact, that’s exactly what I was going to do. I found a nice open area with a good amount of shade. It was close to the lake so I could hear the sound of the soft ripples in the water when the Lune fish moved around. It was enough to lull me to sleep, which I was about to do had it not been for something that caught my eye. It looked like a small creature, almost like a stuffed animal. It had two small horns, ears, a fluffy tail and it was wearing such a cute little outfit!
“Oh, how adorable!”
The words came spilling out of my mouth before I knew it and that’s when I saw the creature suddenly take off in a sprint out to the courtyard.
“Oh no...was...was that the magical creature?!” I suddenly jumped to my feet, realizing the danger that poor thing was going to get into, especially if Zeus got a hold of it. “Wait, come back!”
Though I was exhausted, I somehow managed to run at full speed after the creature. I felt bad chasing after it, especially since I knew it was already scared, but I just had to make sure it was going to be alright.
“Hey, Hiro, look over there!”
Zeus’s voice suddenly rang out like a bell; clear as day. I knew that I wouldn’t have much time to get to the little creature, Zeus was awfully fast…
“Oh hey, look how small it is.”
I heard Hiro’s voice, which was sounding closer than ever before and when I looked up ahead, I saw the two of them cornering the small creature who looked absolutely terrified.
It’s now or never! I quickly rushed in, running as fast as my legs could carry me on the wavering stamina I had left. I quickly scooped the creature in my arms and ran while I held the timid creature to my chest.
“Nadia!”
“Get back here!”
Hiro and Zeus began sprinting after me, their footsteps sounding closer each second. I knew that they would outrun me, so I did the first thing that popped in my mind.
“Sorry about this!”
I cried out before tightening my grip on the creature with one hand - freeing my other hand - which I used to send an ice blast to the ground, which caused Zeus and Hiro to fall flat on their butts.
“Dammit!”
I could hear Zeus cry out from a distance while I continued running. After a short while, when I thought it was safe, I felt my legs buckle and I found myself on the ground breathing hard from exhaustion. I looked down at my arms and smiled knowing that the creature was safe and sound.
“I’m glad you’re alright.”
I gently put the creature on the ground and went to pet it, only for it to bite my arm!
“H-Hey!”
I began waving my arm almost wildly, trying to get the creature to release my arm, but it wasn’t working. At least it didn’t hurt…
“Come on, let go!”
But no matter how hard I tried, it just wouldn’t budge, in fact, it even growled at me when I reached for it again.
“Don’t touch me with such filthy hands human!”
Though the voice was a bit muffled, I could still make out the words.
“You can talk?!”
I looked down at the creature with shock.
“Of course I can!”
It finally released its grip on my arm and took a few steps back with tiny little squeaks. It looked like it was glaring at me, but if that was the case then it was doing much of a good job.
“You’re…” I began to blush. “Gah, you’re so cute!”
“D-Don’t call me cute! I’m a dangerous creature I’ll have you know!”
“Not in the slightest.”
I couldn’t take it! I ended up hugging the small creature only to have it begin hitting me while tiny little honks rang out.
“Unhand me right now heathen!”
“I-I’m sorry..”
I quickly put the creature back down and watched it sit right down in front of me. It clearly posed no threat, except through cuteness.
“I’m guessing you’re the new magical creature everyone is hyped up about.”
“What?”
“Yeah, everyone has been out to grab you and name you.”
“That’s ridiculous! Are humans all such morons, you included.”
“H-Hey!”
“Hmph. As if I’d let some human claim me like some stuffed animal. Ridiculous.”
“Then don’t wander out in big crowds.” I suggested. “Or it’ll happen.”
“Preposterous.”
“Well, you almost got snatched up by Zeus and he would have probably tossed you around like a ball.”
I watched as the creature made a derpy little face, it was like he didn’t know how to respond. I found myself laughing at the sight.
“What exactly is so funny to you?”
“I’m sorry, it’s just...the face you were making just now was pretty adorable.”
“Call me adorable again and I *will* bite your ankles, do you understand?”
“Pfft, go ahead, it won’t bother me.”
There it was again! Only this time the creature ended up falling back down on its butt after having gotten up just seconds prior.
“Truly, you’re one of the oddest I’ve met.”
“Hm?”
“Nothing. Forget it. Why did you even help me? Do you think I’m going to be grateful to you? Because I’m not!”
“No. I just felt sorry for you. You’re so tiny and you seemed so scared. I felt that saving you was the best option. Plus, at least now you’ll be safe here. The forest close by is filled with lots of other magical creatures, like the Winged Rabbits.” I smiled.
I watched as the being turned to look behind it, then it looked back at me.
“So you’re just going to let me go?”
“Isn’t that what you want?”
I watched the hesitation in its eyes as it got up. It looked back at me one last time before disappearing. I felt a strange sense of loneliness in my heart when it left. Did I happen to know that magical creature? It did feel familiar in some ways. Ah, perhaps it’s just my imagination. I began to shake the thoughts away and tried getting up to my feet, only to be hit by a wave of dizziness.
Perhaps pulling an all-nighter was really getting to me. Maybe I should just stay here and take a quick nap, I mean there was no harm in doing so after all. Besides the grass felt like a soft cushion, mix that with the warm air and it made for the absolute perfect napping experience. With a soft yawn, I found myself giving into sleep before falling into a peaceful slumber.
As she dozed off, a certain creature had come back and now squeaked softly as it inched closer to her, careful not wake her. Particles of light surrounded its body and revealed their true form, a certain once hooded Dragonkin.
“What a bother. This human truly is strange.” Felix let out a sigh as he scooped her sleeping body in his arms. “Yet she fascinates me. How bothersome…”
He averted his eyes and began walking in the direction of the dorms. He had a barrier of miasma that only he could see which concealed himself and Nadia from the eyes of anyone he walked past. As he got closer to the dorms he went around back and where his horns began to glow, creating a cloud of miasma which allowed him to float up to the balcony that he was sure belonged to her dorm.
Once on the balcony, he opened the doors and slipped inside. His horns glowed again and the covers to the bed slid down, he then gently put Nadia’s body down and covered her up. When he stepped back he couldn’t help but stare at her sleeping face. How could humans be so terrifying and yet…
“Stupid human, making me feel such things…”
Felix quickly left in a cloud of miasma, teleporting to who knows where. Meanwhile, Nadia had slept peacefully for a couple of hours before she woke up. She had woke up feeling well-rested but also confused.
“How did I get back in my room..?”
Throwing the covers to the side, she got up out of bed and noticed that the sun was just now setting. She had woke up just in time to head down to the Night Cafe and was elated by the fact. She just couldn’t wait to go down and tell Gray and the others about the wonderful, yet strange dream she had.

ive only felt religion when ive lied with you- 1
A/N: (smut, Chan x reader, Canon compliant, fan/idol)
The sun peeped in at you through the small slit in the curtains. Your eyes fluttered open and then closed again. You laid there in a beautiful mix of sleep and awake when suddenly you realized you were late for work. You sat up and became perplexed at your surroundings, this was definitely not your room.
Wait, where am I… you started to wonder.
You looked over to see Robyn lying next to you, still asleep looking quite peaceful and hugging her Chimmy plushie. Then you realized you weren’t at home, and this wasn’t just any day, this was the day you were going to meet Stray Kids.
Your heart began to speed up at your sudden realization. You looked around the room and empty cans of hard cider littered the bedside table. Last night’s pad Thai was sitting on the dresser, probably harboring god knows how many bacteria after sitting out at room temperature all night. You felt a tinge of nausea at the thought of it, or any food for that matter.
Oh god. Am I going to be able to eat today? I have to eat, I’ll never be able to stand in line and make it through the concert if I don’t eat. Let alone have the strength to survive MEETING THEM at hi-touch.
You pushed your hair behind your ears, closed your eyes and focused on your breathing.
Not today, anxiety. It’s too early for this bullshit.
Your therapist had taught you to talk to your anxiety like it was a person. Speaking of him, God bless that man for listening to you over the past several months preparing for this day. You had drilled him for an endless amount of coping mechanisms in order make sure that you, quite literally, didn’t faint when you met the nine boys who seemingly occupied your every thought.
You rolled out of bed as cautiously as you could, so you didn’t wake Robyn. You walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Your hair was stuck to the side of your head and you had sleep still in the corners of your eyes. You decided to take a shower and think about what to have for breakfast.
The hot water beat into your skin and steam began to fill the bathroom. You inhaled deeply. Trying to focus on the present and not psych yourself out about the night ahead.
You’re just giving them a high five. Hundreds of fans will get to do the same. They definitely won’t remember you, you’ll blend in with the millions of other girls who are desperately in love with them.
This thought calms you for a moment. Being rational in situations of stress wasn’t particularly your strong suit, so you were happy with this little victory.
When you got out of the shower you checked your phone. You had several notifications from Instagram from realstraykids. Hyunjin was posting selfies and talking about being excited for the concert tonight. Swiping through the pictures he took with other members, Chris got your attention. His hair was a golden blonde and was starting to grow so long, it looked like a borderline mullet with the way it was styled.
“Chris with a mullet steals my soul!!!!” you commented on the picture and then put your phone away.
You walked back into the room and Robyn was awake. You took one look at her and burst into the most high pitched squeal you could manage.
Well. Being calm was nice while it lasted.
“Good god, y/n. Are you gonna be like this all day?” Robyn asked, already looking done with your shit.
Robyn didn’t originally stan Stray Kids. You introduced them to her after you got the tickets. You had been to kpop concerts with her in the past so she seemed like the obvious choice to go with you. You had invited Robyn over a couple months ago and had a “hard intro to Stray Kids” Youtube watching session. Which had included videos like “stray kids on crack” and “a super shitty and unhelpful guide to stray kids.” She eventually chose two biases, Minho and Jisung. When she had told you later that night you were overjoyed because you had predicted who she would bias.
“NO WAY!!!!” you had screeched, “I texted my friend earlier and predicted you would bias them! Just so I could show you when I was right!”
What could you say, you love Robyn, but she has a certain type that always wrecks her. Pretty baby faces and strong vocals. You couldn’t blame her though, they were both an excellent choice.
You snapped back to the present.
“Uh no. I’m calm, I just, uh… yeah I’m gonna be like this all day.” You confessed.
Thank God I have a friend brave enough to put up with me.
The morning went by faster than you thought it would. You all ordered breakfast and spent the morning watching Jinyoung’s new kdrama. You wanted to get to the venue early-ish because even though you had good tickets, you were still GA and didn’t want to be shoved completely to the back of your section.
You had spent months picking the perfect outfit that you would feel confident in to meet them. It was May so you weren’t sure about the weather, but you decided to bank on it being hot outside. You chose a sleeveless shirt that was metallic gold, with a bow that tied around the front and buttoned down. You had also chosen a skort set that looked like a black mini-skirt but actually had shorts underneath and low-top combat boots to complete the look. You curled your hair and tried to give it as much volume as possible. Not that it would matter, you knew it would be matted to your head with sweat by the end of the concert. But hey, you gotta look good for the pics for the ‘gram, right?
You arrived at the venue and was baking outside under the morning sun, it was sweltering, you didn’t expect this for May. Your skin was baking under the late spring sun. You definitely had a sunburn and had only been in line for an hour.
Why on Earth did I wear a tank top...I’m not gonna be able to raise my arm to high five them without the smell knocking them down!
Suddenly an image of Jeongin falling backward at the smell of your body odor made you laugh out loud. You could see the headlines now, “kpop fangirl’s body odor causes singer to faint.” I mean, it would be hilarious, mortifying, but hilarious.
The concert was a blur, as always. You sang along to all the words you knew and your voice felt hoarse towards the end. You couldn’t believe how close you were to them. The venue was much smaller than you had anticipated. The light was shining off of them and their sweat made them glisten. You were so close you could see their muscles rippling under their denim when they danced.
Felix began talking to the fans about how much he loves us and wants to keep performing well for us. Felix and Changbin are my biases so I was completely engulfed in his cute Aussie accent being spoken 40 feet from me. It was almost too much. The members were fanned out across the stage while he talked and Chris drifted over to the side I was on. The girls and boys around me went wild trying to speak to him but he probably couldn’t hear them.
Rude. My baby Felix is having a moment and y’all are acting like idiots trying to talk over him.
Robyn elbowed me hard in the rib.
“Y/n,” she breathed, “Chris is staring in our direction.”
You looked over and locked eyes with him. You froze. You always thought you knew what you would do if you came face to face with one of your idols. But you were wrong. You didn’t feel the way you had predicted at all. You thought your knees would buckle. You thought you would scream or perhaps cry. But you didn’t. You couldn’t describe the feeling that came over you under his gaze. You couldn’t describe it other than feeling totally confident and empowered for the first time in a long time. You realized you needed to react before he looked away so you winked and attempted to look sexy. Then he raised an eyebrow at you, kept your gaze and went back to get in line for the next song.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT! WHY DID I WINK? WHO DOES THAT OH MY GOD.
You were going though it inside and Robyn could tell.
“Um, what was that?? Girl, you just had an interaction with him!” Robyn whispered in your ear.
You looked around and none of the concert-goers around you seemed to notice. No one was looking at you. You began to wonder if you imagined it. Your cheeks were burning a fiery red and your stomach felt like it was being assaulted with a swarm of butterflies.
How am I going to face him at hi-touch after that?? God y/n you were supposed to try to blend in.
You told your inner voice to fuck off, just like your therapist had taught you. But the rest of the concert, you couldn’t keep your eyes off Chris.
You were standing in line for hi-touch and your knees were buckling. You felt like your entire body was on edge and your insides were being electrocuted.
“You’re going to pass out if you keep holding your breath, y/n.” Robyn quietly reminded you. You suddenly realized you had been holding your breath.
“How did I get here? Maybe we should just run.” You said in a panicked voice.
Robyn looked you up and down like you had just spoken another language.
“Y/n, we’re not being marched to our deaths, we’re meeting this band that you have been obsessing over for months! Get it together! Breathe!” Robyn said while starting to shake you.
She’s right. What the hell is wrong with you. You paid so much money for these tickets and your bank account is still recovering. You’re doing this.
The line was starting to move faster than you would like. You got closer and closer to where you knew the boys were standing. You saw them in the distance and suddenly realized how tall they were in real life. You should’ve anticipated this since you already knew you were shorter than the shortest member.
They’re just people. They’re just boys. You talk to boys all the time.
You started to calm down. Until you locked eyes with Chris in the distance.
What was it about his gaze that made you take on a totally different attitude and mindset? Five seconds earlier you were contemplating running again. Now it felt like all of Earth’s gravity was holding you here in this one spot, like this was the only place you were ever supposed to be at this moment in time. You felt confident under his gaze, you felt bold.
You’re still not sure what possessed you, but you broke the gaze to start searching through your purse. You found a receipt and quickly ripped a small piece of the end. The line was moving and you were forced to walk while ransacking your purse. You finally found a pen. You tried to be as nonchalant as you could so you didn’t attract attention from other fans.
As sneakily as you could, you quickly scribbled: Kakao y/n0325.
Good god, why did I put their debut date in my name on there…I’m such a psycho. That’s so embarrassing.
But you didn’t have time to ponder on that because it was almost your turn. You didn’t have a plan. You didn’t know how you were going to get this to him without being noticed, but you did know that it felt right and you wanted to do it. Chris was the last member in the lineup.
Woojin was first. You had already planned out what you were going to say to each of them. You got up to him and his chocolate brown hair was gleaming in the fluorescence. Your hands met and you felt your mind go blank, he was smiling at you as you grappled with your words in your head.
“YOUR VOICE IS LIKE HONEY,” you blurted out, half-yelling at the poor man.
He just laughed and said thank you as you moved on.
Minho was looking at you smiling with his hand up. You didn’t struggle as long with finding words this time.
“I’m so proud of you, I love you to death,” You said as you passed by.
He laughed and said thank you in the cutest accent you’ve ever heard.
Changbin was next. Your bias, which made your thoughts become even more erratic than they had been before. You just started smiling uncontrollably and said “Hiiiiii, I love you Changbinnie” and he looked back at you fondly and said he loved you too.
You were face to face with Hyunjin before you realized it and my, was he good looking, it was like an angel was literally standing in front of you.
“You’re even cuter in person,” you said as fast as you could while touching hands with him. He just laughed and nodded in response.
You couldn’t think of anything else, your mind was at overload when you met Felix, Jisung, Jeongin and Seungmin. So you just told them you loved them as fast and as many times as you could.
When you got to Chris, you finally looked up at him and felt a shiver rip through your core. Your heart felt like it had dropped into your stomach. You felt like you were in an elevator that was falling down with reckless abandon. You raised your right hand up to give him a high five. Your hand was empty. But at the last second you switched and raised your left hand up as quickly as you could and the piece of paper was between your hands. You moved your hand slightly so he could feel it and finally spoke.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you, but this just isn’t long enough.” You said with all the confidence you could muster.
His eyes sparked as he realized what you were doing. He moved his hand and quickly closed it and put it in his pocket.
“Oh yes, I agree,” he said, very coolly with that unmistakable smile that he always shows the world. The smile that you had become so fond of over the last several months. The smile that gave fans hope all around the world and now, at this moment, he was smiling because of you.
For the second time that night, Robyn looked at you in disbelief as you rounded the corner in the hall way exiting the venue.
“Y/n, you’re the smoothest human alive,” she said with a shocked expression on her face.
You suddenly busted into cackling laughter. It overwhelmed you and wracked your body. Bubbling up from your core. You couldn’t control it. You’re sure you were unnerving everyone near you with your maniacal laughter. Everyone knows, nothing comes good after maniacal laughter. You laughed until your abdominal muscles ached, and tears were spilling down your cheeks.
“That was the best time of my life,” you said in between bouts of laughter.
Robyn started laughing too and you two called a cab to head back to your hotel.
You tried not to dwell on your interaction with Chris. He had been nice and a bit flirty, but he was like that with all Stays. You had watched countless youtube compilations of your idols flirting with fans. It was normal. It was nothing special. That’s what you told yourself when you arrived back in your hotel room and your heart was still fluttering in your chest, refusing to return to its normal pace.
Hey, I’m going at my own pace, Chris would at least be proud of that.
You suddenly started laughing again at your own thoughts and told Robyn you were getting in the shower. She was probably very thankful for this, after the events of the day and the copious amounts of sweat you had shed. You turned on your slow kpop playlist and once again let the steam fill up the room while the water beat down on you. You put your head up against the tile wall of the shower and let the water envelop you.
I had an interaction with Chris. Fans have interactions with their idols all the time at concerts. He was very charismatic, you already knew that. Stop overthinking it and just be happy you made these memories with them, y/n.
Your heart rate began to slow and you focused on the water and the steady hum the shower made. Tomorrow you and Robyn were going into the city and it was going to be a good day. You were going to have a good day with your friend and recount concert memories. Life was good.
You stepped out of the shower and grabbed your phone to turn off the playlist. Butterfly by BTS was playing and you were about to sing along for a few words when you checked your notifications.
You had a few comments on your Instagram posts but your eyes glazed over when you saw what was next.
A notification from Kakao, a notification from none other than Christopher Bang himself.

How you met Stray Kids
Hey bbs! This took me so long to write. I am so sorry! I hope I can come back to a more regular schedule so that you guys can have more stuff! I hope you enjoy!!!!
- Admin SoSo
Chan:
It was cold, basically freezing. Because of that you decided to go out to the nearest coffee shop. To go get something hot to warm yourself up.
As you pushed the door open you heard loud voices and laughter. You went in and stood in line. You realized you were standing behind the people who were making such a ruckus and turns out they were very cute. You turned your attention to the extensive menu. You had no idea what you wanted and the complicated menu didn’t help at all.
“You should get the green tea. It’s really good!”
“Huh?” You weren’t expecting that, You turned towards the voice, finding one of the cute boys looking at you.
“The green tea. it’s my favourite!” He was adorable.
“Oh thanks. I’m Y/n by the way!” You introduced yourself shyly, a small smile gracing your lips.
“I’m Chan.” He turned around after one of his friends tapped his shoulder yo warn him that it was his turn to place his order.
He ordered a small green tea, once he got his drink he headed for the door. He waved you goodbye and walked out. A small pang of sadness hit at the probability of never seeing him again.
You walked up to the barista and placed your own order. a small green tea. Just as you received the steaming cup the door slammed open. There stood a panting Chan. He took a couple steps towards you.
“Hey Y/n, do you wanna maybe go out sometimes?”
Woojin:
You were officially lost. You had no idea where you were or where you were going. It was a wonder you even made it this far. Every turn you made seemed to bring you back exactly where you started. You were getting desperate. you looked around, hoping to find something to help find your way back. The street was almost empty. Key word was “almost”. You spotted a lone man, he would probably be your only chance at finding your way back.
You stepped forward and slowly inched towards him. As you came closer, you got got a better look at his face. He was really handsome. You weren’t expecting that. You gathered up your courage with both hands and rose your shaky voice to catch his attention.
“Excuse me?. He turned towards you and the little amount of courage you managed to gather seemed to falter. Butterflies swarmed around in your stomach.
“I... I’m lost and I can’t find my way back...” the butterflies who were peacefully swarming around were now trowing themselves around into your stomach walls.
“Of course no problem.” Heat rose toy your cheeks. You really wanted wanted to talk to him more.
“Do you maybe wanna go out sometimes?” You weren’t expecting to actually say that. You were never this courageous or forward but you actually really did want to see him again. He seemed surprised but you managed to even shock yourself. His face melted into a warm smile.
“Sure.”
Minho:
You worked at a quiet little diner. It was cute, hidden off of a busy street. It got a steady stream of costumers without it ever getting too busy. You were working the graveyard shift, which sucked. Nobody else was around. No costumers or co workers, only Greg the grumpiest cook in existence. You stayed clear of him meaning you were simply standing at the little counter letting time go by.
Then the door got pushed open and in walked a man covered from head to toe. It wasn't even raining. You pushed your curious thoughts aside in favour for taking his order. He ordered enough food for a small army.
"Is this all for you?"
"No, I'm on food duty for me and my friends." His voice came out a little muffled from behind the face mask he wore.
"Name?" You were really curious'in situations like this you really didn't a name but you wanted a name.
"Why do you need it?" He retorted
"Oh it's protocol." You quickly lied.
"I'm the only one here." He pointed out.
"Please."
"Minho."
Changbin:
So you were single, you were pretty happy being single. Your parents, ever so lovely, didn’t really understand that. You loved them with your whole heart, really, but they didn’t understand that you’re alright with being single. So to ease your lonely heart they set you up on a date.
They set you up with one of their old school buddies' son. You weren't expecting much. Usually when you parents introduced you to a boy, they turn out to be less than ideal. At first it was a little funny how your parents could dig out the weirdest of the weird but it quickly got old.
So needless to say you didn't head into this date with a lot of confidence. You walked into the restaurant heading straight for the hostess. There you gave her your last name, she led you towards the back of the restaurant dodging through tables and chairs. She stopped in front of a table where a lone boy was sitting.
He was wearing dark clothes and was suprisingly handsome. Once he saw you he shot straight up. He had a relived smile on his face, which made you chuckle. He reached out his hand and you shook it gently.
"I'm Changbin!"
"Nice to meet you. I'm Y/n!"
Hyunjin:
Being a trainee was hard. It could really take a toll on both your mental and physical state. It was long hours and constant pressure. Sometimes you wondered why you were even doing it but you would be quickly reminded that you loved it. you loved singing and dancing but most of all you loved performing.
Usually, you could keep riding onto the high you got from performing but today it didn’t seem to be enough. Your voice didn’t seem to be able to reach the high points of the song you couldn’t follow along to the song. The worst part was that you were the only one out of your group that had trouble with this song.
That night you stayed behind, after everyone left to keep practicing. You were finishing up after practicing for hours, when you heard a loud thud. You whipped your head around to face the door and there laid a lanky guy. You furrowed your brows trying to figure out how he ended up laying in the entry way.
“Are you okay?” You asked. He quickly turned his head to look at you. He clearly hadn’t realized that there was someone else in the room.
“Uhhh yeah I’m fine. My friends they just pushed me.” He quickly pulled himself up, wanting to save himself from more any more embarrassment. “What are you still doing here it’s way past midnight?”
“I was actually finishing, I stayed to practice some more. What about you, why are you still here? As far as I know it’s past midnight for you too!” You whipped out a water bottle from your duffel bag taking large gulps.
“I was just leaving too.” He nodded his head, avoiding your gaze. “W-Would you like for me to walk you back to your dorm?”
“Sure, I’d like that ....”
“Hyunjin”
“Y/n”
Jisung:
It was a slow Sunday, you had a lot of time to kill. So obviously you decided to kill your time by going to the arcade. Usually you would’ve forced your friends to come with you but ironically you seemed to be the only person on earth to be free today.
You slowly made your way through the arcade, considering each and every game before settling for Pac-Man. An old classic. The Pac-Man game was right beside the Dance Dance Revolution game that was always packed, no matter what. You lightly shoved some people out of your way as to get to the game.
Out of no where a hand shot out and grabbed your arm. You snapped your head around as to spot the culprit. There stood a handsome guy. He was staring at you intently. You eyebrows shot up.
“Can I help you?” You softly detached his deadly grip from your arm.
“Yes. Are you good at Dance Dance Revolution?”
“I’m ok at it. Why are you asking?” This was easily one of the weirdest situations you’ve ever experienced.
“My friends and I are doing a Dance Dance Revolution tournament and I need a partner. Will you be my partner?”
“Alright, let’s do it. I’m Y/n by the way.”
“I’m Jisung”
Felix:
Korean was hard. You realized this before you accepted the exchange program to Korea. What you didn’t realize is that even impressed in the language and culture you still wouldn’t have a clue about the language.
So as to pass your classes you decided to take an after-school Korean class. It was the first day and you were quite nervous to say the least, so nervous you got there almost an hour early. You clutched your bag and picked a spot at the back to hopefully not get called on by the teacher. As time passed by students piled into the class.
There was barely five minutes before the course and nobody was sitting by you. Somehow everyone else paired up meaning you had all the space in the world. You were just about to put down your bag on the other chair when the class door burst open. A boy just stood, now realizing the dramatic entry he just did. He blushed and quickly spoted a chair. He plopped the remaining place which was right beside you.
You stole a quick glance at him, he was really cute. Even though you would miss the extra space you were quite glad such a cute boy sat by you. He abruptly turned towards you and shot you a smile.
"I'm Felix. Nice to meet you, I guess we're gonna be spending a lot of time together."
"I'm Y/n nice to meet you too."
Seungmin:
It was finally summer break. After such a long year you truly deserved a break. As to celebrate the first day of vacation you and your friends decided to go to the mall and buy some new summer clothes. You were walking on the pathway sipping on your freshly made drink discussing when one of your friends yelled out.
"Seungmin, over here!!!" Your head snapped around to find a handsome boy making his way over to your group of friends. Your friend suddenly turned towards you.
"Y/n you're gonna love him! He's super sweet and really cute!!" She was bouncing in place at the idea that you were finally going to meet Seungmin. He weaved through the crowd before getting to you and your friends.
“Hi I’m Seungmin, I don’t think we’ve met.” Heat rose to your cheeks. Your friend mentioned he was cute but not this cute.
“Hi I’m Y/n and no we haven’t” You must’ve looked like a tomato at this point.
“Well it’s nice to meet you”
“Yeah it’s very nice to meet you too...”
Jeongin:
It’s hard being the new girl in school. You just transferred from another school and you hated it. As much as you liked the idea of starting fresh you hated it. You were completely lost in the school and you were already late to your class. You were wandering around the hallway hoping to magically find your classroom.
Turning the corner you suddenly bumped into a chest. you stumbled backward surprised by the interruption. When you looked up there stood the cutest boy. He somehow made those tacky uniforms look good.
“Oh sorry...” He quickly apologized. Still stunned by his good looks you saw your opportunity to find your way back to your class.
“It’s fine. Could you tell me where my class is. I’m new and i still haven’t figured my way around.”You asked pointing to your schedule.
“Of course.” He grabbed your schedule, your hands lightly brush each other. A soft smile brushed across your lips.
“Well it’s across campus.” No wonder you couldn’t find your class, you were in the completely wrong building!
“Alright thanks!” You took back your schedule and turned on your heels to make your way to your class.
“Wait, how about I walk you.” He reached out lightly grabbing your elbow.
“Sure!” You were quite embarrassed but you felt quite happy. You didn’t need to know that Jeongin’s class was actually where you both started.

Hey just out of curiosity who in skiz do you ship platonically with your mutuals? Like who could you see being besties with each member and why?
YES I LOVE THIS QUESTION SO MUCH I PLATONIC SHIP PEOPLE ALL THE TIME SLDKJFS
(under the read more cut because i got Carried Away and these are v long)
chan: tbh I lowkey think chan and I would be really good friends like we have similar work ethics and senses of humor and I’m usually the most comfortable around people my age/slightly older so chan fits that perfectly! I can really see us having that old married couple kind of friendship where I pester him to go to sleep early and he’d say “man you’re such a grandma” (because I’m like an old person and go to sleep early and wake up early) and just…yeah omg i’m getting soft thinking about this *jyp whisper* i just really want to be friends with chan ok
woojin: ok I’m also a firm believer that shy people need wild friends to make them do crazy things so I think @yafelix would be good friends with woojin! they’re similar ages so they’d be comfortable enough around each other to open up about their personal lives and watch movies together and throw popcorn at the screen. bella’s so funny that woojin would always be smiling around her and it would just be a super soft and loving friendship!
minho: hahahaha ok I think @changbeanie would actually match well with minho? they’re both pretty straightforward types of people and even though minho’s a savage I think ruby would roll her eyes but still go along with it. and since minho’s a really touchy person I can just imagine while ruby’s trying to take a snap he just comes up to her side and pokes her face and ruins the picture alaksdjfsd plus if minho and ruby were friends then I could get ruby to introduce us :^)
changbin: ok i know this question is to ship platonically buttttttt friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes :”) so ofc I gotta go with @spearbin here I definitely think camille and changbin would be really good friends because they’re both hard workers who are super sweet and I can definitely see them being that pair of really Intimidating-Seeming friends that no one else wants to approach but then when you actually observe them together they’re super soft with each other and basically just the cutest people alive hehehe
hyunjin: LSKDJFS so I literally just had a mental image of @strgaykids and hyunjin being goofy and dancing or whatever as they’re walking down a street and this old woman comes up to them and says “aw y’all are so cute; how long have you been together?” and hyunjin bursts out laughing as erin says “oh no, we’re just friends” and then as the old woman is walking away erin starts laughing too and so basically I see hyunjin and erin as the friends that everyone mistakes for a couple because v i s u a l s and also because they’re so playful toward each other but little does everyone know erin’s actually crushing on hyunjin’s cute friend (it’s felix) :^^^)
jisung: LOL 120% @himeaegyo i almost wanted to leave the reasoning out just to see karen’s reaction but ok I definitely think jisung would bring out karen’s wiLD side and they’d have that sort of sibling friendship where they’d show their affection by annoying each other. I can see karen sending jisung snaps with puns in them and jisung responding with ugly selfies like “ugh not again” but we all know he secretly likes them ;) and then I can also see him spamming her with texts being like “GUESS WHAT OMG GUESS WHAT” and when she finally responds “what?” he just goes “hi :]” aka #JirenIsTheBest
felix: pffttt I just imagined @maaatryoshka sending felix the “sleep is for the weak” snap that she sent me last night and him responding with a pic of him dabbing so yeah I think it’s safe to say that erin and felix would be friends and then continuing from above when 2rin become friends erin s is like “wait who’s your friend he’s kinda cute” and erin o would go “who wait ew felix? he’s dumb but i can introduce you to him if u want” and the rest is history ;))
seungmin: hmm i lowkey think @hyyunjinn and seungmin would be good friends? like just imagine: cici- “seungmin why are you wearing a denim jacket again” seungmin- “what? this is my favorite one! i wore a different one yesterday” and then also seungmin just ranting about things that bother him (like people sleeping on him) and cici just being the kindest and most supporting friend ever
jeongin: okok hear me out: @seungchanie and jeongin. would be. a POWER FRIENDSHIP. like...they’re just so sweet? I think at times they’d both be calm and like vale would be trying to draw something while jeongin sits next to her nagging her to teach him spanish but then at other times they’d both be loud and running around with the rest of the maknaes playing games and it would just be a cute and adorable friendship wow i’m soft rn
#wow did i really spend an hour platonically shipping my mutuals with stray kids?#yes. yes i did#cute mutuals#anon#replies

@kala-wolfgang-trash prompted: “Anything with kalagang would be okay, maybe like a cute scene of them celebrating Christmas for the first time together?”
Note: First of all, I’m so sorry about how late this fic is. My brain sorta got in the way of writing for a while. But I really love this prompt, it’s super cute. And I also love you, darling! I know you’re busy with school right now, so kick some ass for me.
This takes place in a Whispersless future once again, because I need some happiness in my life.
(Also, for after you’ve read the fic, you can find an image of the gift Kala gives Wolfgang here for reference.)
---
Usually, Wolfgang is the first to wake between the two of them. On Christmas morning, though, Kala can’t help waking early. It’s their first Christmas as a couple, as well as the first after everything they went through with BPO.
Kala hadn’t really celebrated Christmas before the cluster came into her life. Wolfgang had tried to tell her it wasn’t a big deal, that they didn’t have to do anything special for the day, but Kala told him that for her it isn’t about being a believer. To her, Christmas means her new family, the unbreakable connections she’s made with her other selves.
“Besides,” she’d said, “just because I want to keep my traditions doesn’t mean I don’t want to start some new ones with you.” Wolfgang had smiled, and from then on had made a point of introducing Kala to the few Christmas traditions he kept.
Now it’s Christmas, and excitement bubbles up in Kala. She’s pretty sure part of it is coming from members of her cluster, some of their holiday celebrations already under way. But she also knows part of it is her own. After everything she and Wolfgang have been through to be together, there’s something to be said for enjoying a milestone in their relationship like any normal couple.
Careful not to wake Wolfgang, Kala slips out of bed and heads to the living room of their flat. The small tree they bought sits in the corner by the window. It’s decorated haphazardly, covered in a combination of the few ornaments Wolfgang already had, shiny red bulbs Kala purchased to add some color, and an ornament from each of the other members of their cluster. She knows it won’t be featuring in any home decor magazines, but Kala loves their tree just the same.
Kala walks over to the window and looks down at the street below. To her delight, she sees that it must have started snowing some time in the night, as the world is now covered in a layer of white.
“A white Christmas,” Wolfgang says.
She whips around, and he meets her with a sleepy grin. Kala senses he’s visiting, his body still in their bed.
“Didn’t mean to scare you,” he says.
“It’s alright,” Kala replies, returning his smile with one of her own. “Did I wake you?”
Wolfgang shakes his head. “You’re up early,” he answers instead.
Kala looks down bashfully, but the smile doesn’t leave her face. “I’m more excited than I expected to be.”
Chuckling, Wolfgang gets up and leaves their bedroom. He steps into the living room to join Kala in person. “It’s natural,” Wolfgang says. After pressing a soft kiss into her hair, he wraps his arms around her. Nodding, Kala embraces him. After a few moments of just taking each other in, Kala looks up to Wolfgang with a playful grin. “Yes?” he asks, his amusement evident in his voice.
“It’s traditional to open the presents when you wake up on Christmas morning, isn’t it?”
He laughs. “Some people do, yeah. It depends on where you’re from.”
“What do you do?” Kala asks.
“Usually it’s just me and Felix,” Wolfgang says with a shrug. “We mostly just get drunk and give each other stupid shit for presents.”
Kala laughs, “I look forward to tonight, then.”
“We can open presents now, though,” Wolfgang says. “Felix won’t care as long as we save the booze.”
“That’s good. I don’t want to know what Felix would say about my gift for you.”
“Oh?” he asks, smirking.
Cheeks flush, Kala buries her face into Wolfgang’s chest and mumbles, “You’ll see.”
Rather than pushing the point, Wolfgang pulls Kala over to their little tree. There are only a few presents beneath it. He picks up a small box that’s neatly wrapped in plain orange wrapping paper. “I can wait,” he says. “You first.”
Kala takes the box, looking it over curiously before tearing off the orange paper. Without the wrapping, it’s obvious that the black velvet box came from a jewelry store. Her eyes light up. Wolfgang watches with affection as Kala opens the small box. Inside is a pair of earrings, thin gold chains with a small ruby at the end of each.
“Oh, Wolfgang,” Kala sighs. “They’re beautiful.”
He kisses her in reply, then gestures for her to put the earrings on. “They made me think of you,” Wolfgang smiles.
“Thank you,” she says, returning his smile in kind. Kala puts on the earrings, then pulls Wolfgang close for another kiss. When he pulls back, she’s looking down sheepishly.
“What is it?”
“My gift is much less...sentimental,” she offers, not sure how to explain without giving it away.
“I’m sure it’s fine,” he laughs.
Nodding, Kala pulls a shiny blue gift bag from under the tree. She hands it to Wolfgang. He shifts the tissue paper around until his fingers catch on fabric. From the bag, he pulls out a red negligee. The bust is floral lace, with the rest of the piece made out of a sheer gauze. Wolfgang’s eyes widen.
“Shouldn’t I be giving this to you?” he jokes, but it doesn’t mask the pulse of arousal that she can feel course through him.
“That’s just the wrapping paper,” Kala says. “You’ll get to unwrap your present later.”
Now Wolfgang isn’t trying to hide how turned on he is. “Have I mentioned how much I love you?”
“Not this morning,” Kala giggles.
He puts the negligee down, puts an arm around her waist, and pulls her in to kiss her again. “I love you,” Wolfgang murmurs against her lips.
“I love you,” Kala replies. “Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas.”

Fic: The One With The Dog Mom And Hot Vet
Chapter 6: The One With The Birthday Party
Link to the whole story on FFN | AO3 | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Summary: AU. Cosima is a crazy loving dog mom and Delphine is a crazy hot veterinarian. Cosima is also super gay. Mrs. S, Sarah, Felix, and Kira make their appearances!
"Wait, you mean the vet Kira keeps talking about?"
Sarah Manning's voice comes through the phone Cosima has tucked between her ear and shoulder as she pours dog food into Pancho's dog bowl.
The older sister (only by eleven months) speaks with an Irish/British accent from growing up and being raised by Mrs. S. in London. Sarah was definitely the rebel, wearing her hair in a permanent bedhead which she claims is sexy, and her fair share of stories of wild nights and trouble-making for her foster mother. Sarah grew up with a natural disdain for school and learning institutions, with a knack for pissing off and butting heads with authority figures, her foster mother included. Mrs. S. labeled her as the Trouble Monkey while Felix, her other foster child, was the Fabulous Art Monkey, as a joke. Of course, this was no less accurate.
Cosima, on the other hand grew up in San Francisco Bay Area, on a boat to parents who were professors at Berkeley. She lived, breathed knowledge and learning. She transferred to Canada for a PhD scholarship grant and to be with her sister. Mrs. S. labeled her the geek monkey.
The two sisters grew up in two different continents and their differences were innumerable. But, while each having a personality that's worlds apart from the other, their resemblance and connection was absolutely undeniable the moment they met. Side by side, they looked like identical twins.
"Yes. That's her. Have you met her?"
Cosima places the food bowl in the puppy's pen. Pancho is already up on his hind legs, leaning against the plastic fence of his playpen, tail wagging like mad in excitement for his food. He starts digging in before the bowl even touches the ground.
"No, haven't met her yet. S and Kira are always the ones who take the dog to the vet."
Cosima mumbles an 'mhmm'. Sarah would never be bothered to do something like that.
"Dude… The first time I saw her, I puked rainbows."
Her older sister's laughter rings through her ears.
"That hot, eh?"
Cosima moves to her cupboard, grabs the box of Frosties and sets it on the table. She then grabs a bowl, a spoon, turns to the fridge and grabs the milk.
"I mean… Just… Phew."
She pours cereal into her bowl, then pours milk.
"Mmhm. Yeah. So, do you want me to wing you on my kid's birthday party?"
Cosima almost drops the carton of milk as she pours some over the cereal. She thinks she would have thrown it at her sister if Sarah were across her.
"No! Absolutely not. Sarah, it's your kid's birthday party… my niece! And I love you, but you're the shittiest wing-woman ever."
Sarah laughs again.
"You telling me about this woman and her being invited to the party means you want me to help you. You know can't do this without me."
Cosima digs into her cereal. Sarah could hear the crunching and munching over the line. The older sister speaks before Cosima could respond to her challenge.
"Cos, are you eating shite food again?"
Cosima swallows.
"Dude, if I wanted to be winged, Felix would do a better job than you. And I'm not eating shite food. I'm having cereal."
The pet owner laughs at her own imitation of Sarah cursing. Sarah doesn't even comment on her sister mocking her.
"For dinner? Jesus fuck. You have to eat better food Cosima. And I know you secretly enjoy it when I wing you."
Cosima scoffs.
"Sarah, you are worse than a group of middle schoolers teasing me about a crush. I do not want to be humiliated in front of this one, please."
Sarah laughs at her again.
"Cos, you know you love it because you get to bond with your favorite sister."
"Dude, Felix is my favorite sister. Not you."
Cosima laughs this time. It was true. Not the Felix is her favorite sister part, because she loves them both equally, but the part about her enjoying Sarah playing wing-woman. It was for the simple fact that she gets to share a bonding moment with her long-lost sister. If Sarah's attempts were not successful, it at least made for funny stories to tell Mrs. S. However, they usually do this in bars where Cosima knows no one and her good name wasn't really at stake.
"Oi, Cos, I have to put Kira to bed. Talk to you later, yeah?"
"Okay. Tell monkey that I love her. And good night to you both."
"Yeah, okay. Good night, Cos. Bye."
"Bye."
Sarah hangs up. Cosima puts her phone down and continues eating her cereal. She thinks about the French doctor and hopes that Sarah doesn't have too much fun trying to be her wing-woman.
"Auntie Cosima!"
The birthday girl immediately comes running to her the moment she stepped foot inside Mrs. S' house. Cosima bends down to catch her in a hug.
"Hey, monkey- oof!"
Kira throws her arms around her aunt's neck and the child almost tackles the woman to the ground. Cosima chuckles at her niece's excitement to see her. Pancho, who she brought along, of course, was walking at her side. The puppy was definitely infected by Kira's excitement and is wagging his tail and barking for Kira's attention.
"Happy birthday!"
Cosima leans back from the hug to give Kira a big kiss on the cheek to match her greeting. The child giggles.
"Thank you."
The birthday girl then notices Pancho. She rubs the puppy's torso as she hugs him. Pancho just tries to lick her face.
"Oh, he's gotten bigger!"
Cosima smiles at what is probably the purest thing in the world - the scene of her beloved niece playing and cuddling her beloved pup. A warmth spreads in her chest.
"Yes, he has gotten bigger. And so did you."
Cosima only noticed that Mrs. S. and Felix, who was in an apron, are both standing, leaning against each side of the door frame that leads to the kitchen, watching the scene. She gives her niece a pat on the head and gets up to give them both a hug, turning to the matriarch first.
"Hello, chicken. Thanks for coming in early to help."
"No, problem at all, Mrs. S."
Felix smirks and greets her with a one-armed hug, his other hand carrying an apron which Cosima suspected to be meant for her.
"Well, I finally get to see my favorite lesbian. Here's an apron. Make yourself useful."
And the pet owner suspected right. Cosima laughs and takes the apron.
"I missed you, too, Felix."
Just then, Sarah comes bounding down the stairs beside the door frame.
"Ah, the geek monkey is here."
Kira giggles at her mother calling Cosima a monkey. The little girl was carrying a surprisingly calm Pancho in her arms.
"You just missed me."
Cosima shoots back at her sister. Sarah, who's wearing her signature sleeveless band shirt and messy hair, raises an eyebrow at Cosima as she comes to stand beside her younger sister.
"Miss you? I talk to you almost every day. If anything, I'm sick of you."
Cosima rolls her eyes and puts an arm around Sarah's shoulders, giving her a side hug.
"Ha-ha, Sarah. Pretending to not have feelings to keep up your cool, badass image is so last season."
Mrs. S. chuckles.
"Aye. She got you there, love."
Sarah rolls her eyes but fails to hide her smile.
"Whatever."
The four adults proceed into the kitchen to start the preparations for Kira's backyard party. It was still early in the morning and the guests won't be arriving until lunch time.
Cosima ties her apron snugly around her waist. She is on cake baking duty today. Felix is starting the fire for the grill. Sarah and Mrs. S are setting up the balloons and other decorations up. Kira takes Pancho to the backyard where she introduces him to Babu and the two pups run around together after the initial wariness.
"Delphine, welcome! So glad you could come."
Cosima almost drops the cake she was pulling out of the fridge after she hears Mrs. S. greet the French doctor who just arrived. Kira and her friends were already laughing and enjoying burgers and drinks outside while the clown Mrs. S. hired gave a magic show.
"Hello, Siobhan. I'm not too late, am I?"
The French doctor smiles. Mrs. S shakes her head. The matriarch takes Delphine's coat and the two women walk further into the house, passing the living room and going into the dining area and kitchen.
"Oh, no, not at all. In fact, you're just in time for the cake."
The Irish woman gestures to the cake on the counter top, purple and pink frosting decorated with flowers made of icing. Delphine's eyes land on the woman behind it, holding nine birthday candles in blues, yellows, and pinks.
"Oh, hello, Cosima."
Delphine smiles at her and Cosima feels a fluttering in her stomach. A smile tugs at the corners of her lips.
"Hi, Delphine."
Cosima unties her apron and takes it off. She moves around the counter and takes the cake and candles with her.
"Kira would be so glad to see you-"
"I hear Kira's not the only one happy to see you, doc."
Sarah cuts in and surprises the three women. She had walked through the door from the backyard without any one of them noticing.
The alarms in Cosima's head go off, her eyes go wide as she processes her sister's sudden presence and her statement. A look crosses Cosima's features, one that Sarah recognizes.
Cosima thinks, oh no.
Sarah smirks.
Oh, yes.
