CHAPTER ONE

Nathan Mackinnon gripped the steering wheel, and just barely resisted banging his head against it. 

            Stupid, dumb-ass. Fuck-up, fuck-up, fuck-

            He pushed the door to his truck open with a little too much force, but by the time he grabbed his bag out of the back the voices had quieted to a dull roar that he’d become an expert at ignoring.

            Sometimes. Or, actually not at all, but he wasn’t going to think about that.

            Instead, he headed toward the red and concrete building in front of him. He’d spent so much time in Cole Harbor Place that the rink had become something like a second home for him. A sanctuary, even, where he knew he could do at least one thing right, even if he was failing at the rest of his life. 

When he stepped through the doors, relief washed over him, a cool shower after a too-hot summer day. 

            “Hey kid.” A firm hand gripped his shoulder, and Nate glanced back with a smile. 

            Jim Thorton stood there in all his middle-aged hockey player glory, his gut hanging over his trousers, his hairline a thing of distant memory. Nate didn’t think he’d ever be able to look at Jim through anything but the golden-tinted glasses of a pee-wee player who’d gotten his first dose of positive affirmation, though. 

            “You’re going to do great,” Jim said, nudging Nate to keep moving. “Sid’s just a guy, a down-to-earth guy.”

            Sid.

            As if they should all be on a nick-name basis with best hockey player—the best professional athlete—in the world.

            “Can’t believe you’ve never met him,” Jim continued, happy as always to carry the full weight of their conversations. They swung toward the locker rooms and Nate tried to control his breathing, because this was so stupid.They weren’t going to see Sid in there. He was probably already out on the ice. 

            Nate should have gotten here earlier. He knew he should have gotten here earlier. 

            Fuck-up, fuck-up—

            “Now my advice to you,” Jim said, as if Nate wasn’t shitting his pants about meeting the man who’d been his idol since he could lace up skates. “Is not to act star-struck. Sid likes to feel normal, all right?”

            Nate managed to make some sound that Jim took as agreement, and they both stopped assessing the stalls. None of them were assigned. Today was just for the volunteer coaches, the kids wouldn’t get here until tomorrow. 

            Sid had wanted everyone to get comfortable with the program first, though. 

            Jim turned to find a place to dump his bags, but Nate shook himself out of his dazed stupor long enough to stop him. “Hey, thanks again for throwing my name in for this. It means…”

            Emotion clogged his throat, made his tongue clumsy. It had been a rough eighteen months, with the car crash, the injury, the idea of just slipping under the age max for draft eligibility when he had been touted as the next phenom before the accident. When Jim had asked him to coach as a volunteer at Sid’s hockey school camp, Nate had nearly wept with gratitude. Sometimes he thought the idea of this week had been the only thing holding him together. 

            “Of course, son, don’t mention it,” Jim said, his own voice gruff. He slapped Nate’s shoulder twice, nodded once and then turned away before any of their messy emotions could spill out onto the locker room floor. 

            As was custom in hockey. 

            Nate went through the motions of lacing up his skates. Sid had told them all to keep their outfits work-out casual, no pads necessary today. It might have been helpful to have the extra couple minutes to collect himself, but he also didn’t want to be late to the ice. 

            He clomped his way toward the rink, leaving most of the other volunteers behind. When he got to the doors, he looked up as he always did and found the pennant. The one that declared this the home rink of Sidney Crosby. He dreamed of seeing his own beside it. 

            And then, slowly, he dropped his gaze to find the man himself.

I went to my first con this year and RHGRGRGHRG IT WAS SO FUNNNNNNNN I went as Akira but I didn't have a proper cosplay, so . I just had plaidn't-somethin-mabobber slacks, a blazer, and a turtleneck

Noah, Eva, Katie, Sadie, Trent, Ezekiel, and Lindsay were criminally underused in island (and in general tbh), like yeah Trent and Lindsay were pretty important side characters but they didn't get to be very individual yk? like Trent was a pretty bland chill dude who's sole purpose was being Gwen's love interest while Lindsay was left as a dumb blonde solely meant to be Heather's sidekick and they both could've been so much more???

The early outs + Sadie are all so interesting potential wise as well?? (except Justin but that might just be me finding him boring after we got Alejandro in tdwt lol, also I love Tyler but he works best as a comic relief side character imo) like I'm gonna expand on this rq cause I have Thoughts.

Ezekiel

Zeke ould've had a really interesting arc where he unlearns his misogyny, makes real friends (BETH AND LINDSAY ARE RIGHT THERE), and just generally becomes more accustomed to the world outside of the farm.

However, this arc would probably work best as a multi-season thing (he should've been on tda and I stand by that) and imo Zeke should've had his comeback in TDA instead of that feral bullshit in TDWT. Like let him just be a Guy who's a bit awkward and not very good at reading social situations but is still pretty chill, good in challenges (he's got that farm strength), and genuinely just trying his best to improve himself, help his team, and get far in the game.

Eva

The writers giving her nothing when she came back post-merge in TDI pisses me off like she should've gone on an immunity run and been the biggest thorn in Heather's side purely via forcing her to up her strategic game and actually work on her social game to avoid being voted out cause no one has a chance at immunity against Eva. I mean she could've had the chance to chill out a bit, make some friends, and work on her anger issues but still been voted out anyway cause she's such a challenge threat.

ALSO the fact that she never came back for another season makes me so upset like why did we not get a full Team E-Scope reunion in TDWT??? like the teams were literally uneven cause Ezekiel ended up on Team Victory and Duncan quit (this works best with Ezekiel returning for TDA and not being on TDWT so that the teams are hypothetically even had Duncan not quit, with my hc for this version being that Chris was planning on putting him on Team Victory so that he's stuck with Harold again and separated from Courtney and Gwen)

I fully believe we should've had Eva on Team Chris (make life more difficult for Alejandro when it comes to avoid elimination via the Team E-Scope + Owen bestie agenda) and Katie on Team Amazon (which we'll get back to in her section).

Just generally I think Team E-Scope as a group/potential alliance should've been explored more and Eva being the only one who never returned annoys me so much.

Noah

Literally the biggest disappointment from the writers imo like he's literally THE SCHEMER why was he out 3rd???

He could've been a really interesting ally for Heather as someone who knows that's she's manipulative but doesn't really care and will willingly work with her to further his own game.

HOWEVER, a mini arc where he makes friends (Owen, Eva, and Izzy my beloveds <3) and becomes disillusioned with how ruthless and generally kinda cruel Heather is being could be really interesting imo and having his moment of not keeping his mouth shut being him calling out Heather (privately so that the Lindsay blow up still has weight and consequences for Heather) and her getting him booted could make his return in TDWT and the introduction of Alejandro that much more interesting.

ALSO HEATHER + NOAH + LINDSAY ALLIANCE FTW A NOAH + LINDSAY FRIENDSHIP WOULD BE SO FUNNNNNNNN

Anyway, speaking of TDWT, Noah being a late pre-merge boot was genuinely so stupid oh my god like Team Chris literally won the challenge idc if Gwen and Courtney brought back Duncan.

Anyway, his rivalry with Alejandro should've been explored more and having a situation where he and Heather are the only ones who recognise how sketchy Alejandro is but also having them hate each other and refuse to work together on principal combined with Team Chris being effectively split down the middle (in my world where Eva is in TDWT, Izzy is still gone but Owen and Eva would most likely vote with Noah while Tyler and Duncan - who doesn't like Noah - would probably vote with Alejandro) puts Team Chris in a very interesting stalemate which, when combined with Chris canonically being willing to keep contestant if they're bringing drama, the potential for Tyler being medically evacuated in Area 51 via getting blown up by a land mine, and them winning immunity in Sweden + it being a non-elimination round, means that Noah could conceivably make it to merge and make the post-merge portions of the game a lot more interesting.

Now I'm not saying he'd win, but I think he could make it decently far and it'd be a fun wild card scenario where he kinda steps into the shadows post-merge and lets Alejandro and Heather duke it out so they forget about him while he quietly fucks up all of their moves lmao.

Katie

KATIE OMG. The wasted potential with Katie and Sadie as individuals is insane to me like they should've each had a season to shine separate from each other like they were basically blank slates the writer could've done pretty much ANYTHING with them and it could've made sense.

Now, for Katie specifically I think her being voted out early in TDI is fine cause that (for me) is Sadie's season to shine. But I think she should've been brought back without Sadie for TDWT (not TDA cause that's the Zeke and Justin redemption season) and popped onto Team Amazon. Why Team Amazon? Cause that team is fucking insane and they need a grounding force BAD like between the Cody + Sierra mess, the Courtney + Gwen mess, the light dose of Gwen + Cody mess, and Heather just generally being a menace that team desperately needed someone normal to be an anchor for the craziness and a general backbone to keep them from falling apart.

Ok onto actual plot ideas for Katie, I think it'd be kinda interesting for Heather to lowkey latch onto her early on (they didn't spend much time together on TDI so Katie has the least beef with her lol) so that Team Amazon are like 3 tentative duos working as a team where none of the duos actually trust each other (except Sierra ig cause I fully believe that canon Sierra would literally die for Cody) and they're insanely messy at all times.

ANYWAY, Katie's main goal with coming back is to prove that she's a person separate from Sadie and and I think she could be a pretty good social player if given the chance to actually be in the game. Now, I do think she'd probably be either a late pre-merge or early post-merge boot due to her shaky alliance with Heather (she may not particularly like Heather but she was the only person she could really partner up with on Team Amazon and they both needed allies) but before she gets eliminated I think she'd be a solid competitor who makes a lot of friends but doesn't quite have the strategic head to use these connections to further her game.

I can also see her maybe becoming friends with Cody? I think she'd recognise just how uncomfortable Sierra is making him and would be a person for him to talk to when the Sierra situation and the general messiness of the team get to be a bit much (I envision them bonding during the commercial challenge in Japan).

Sadie

Sadie 100% should've been given more to do after Katie's elimination in TDI like the storyline was RIGHT THERE.

Literally just have her go on a journey of becoming less dependant on Katie, let her bond with some of the other Killer Bass members (my personal choices would be Bridgette, Courtney, Geoff, and possibly Harold just for fun) let her actually be a presence within the Bass rather than just an extra background character who kinda just coasts through.

Maybe she could start seeing through Heather at some point?? It could be interesting if she develops a friendship with Lindsay (especially after the fear factor challenge) and inadvertently plants the seed that leads, when combined with some things Noah's said and his elimination coming out of left field, to Lindsay having her big light bulb moment regarding Heather and revealing the extent of her manipulation to the rest of the cast.

Honestly, I don't have many ideas for her but after reading The Other Side by WeirdNCrazy she has a special place in my heart so she still deserves better!!

Trent

Trent getting eliminated via Heather's manipulations does make sense but I just think he should've been given an identity outside of being Gwen's crush and a Decent Guy. Like give him friends?? (I'd pick Owen cause lbr Owen can be friends with basically anyone who isn't Alejandro lmao)

Uhhhh ngl I don't have many ideas for him either but the depiction of his OCD in TDA was horrendous and as a relativity important character he deserved to be given a storyline that was properly fleshed out and didn't hinge entirely on his relationship with Gwen (which needed a proper resolution literally wtf happened to them in TDA) or a terrible representation of his mental health.

Lindsay

LINDSAY LINDSAY MY BESTIE I LOVE HER SM <333333

I fully believe that Lindsay and Harold should've been the final 2 in TDA and she should've been viewed as legitimate threat in TDWT as opposed to just going back to being a dumb blonde. Like

Anyway, as for TDI I think a Heather + Noah + Lindsay alliance would've been a genuinely huge threat if it were written correctly cause in my mind you have Heather and Noah as the primary strategic backbone (and Heather as the strongest physical player of the trio) while Lindsay is genuinely one of the biggest social threats in the game (alongside Owen) and while she may not be book smart she's amazing at making friends and she should've been written as one of the most socially intelligent players who can fill in the gaps in the more strategic Heather and Noah's plans with her knowledge of the contestants interpersonal relationships and her more emotional focus on the game would make an interesting contrast to Heather and Noah's reliance on logic.

Also I think it would've been very interesting for Lindsay to be an active participant in her alliance's scheming in TDI rather than just being Heather's lackey like she was in canon. Let her be an active schemer, let her become proper friends with Noah as they bond over their growing exasperation/annoyance with Heather the further they get into the game. Like she can scheme but still be genuinely nice to and friends with the other campers and her dislike of mean-spirited scheming that goes beyond simply being a game move (e.g. Heather reading Gwen's diary, being mean to other contestants purely to be mean rather than it being for strategic reasons) would be the perfect thing to spark discontent within the alliance as Heather starts to go overboard while Lindsay and Noah get more and more pissed off over how awful Heather's being. I can see offhand comments from Sadie about Heather's attitude, Noah's elimination, and the whole thing with the bike challenge being what finally makes Lindsay snap and what tips off the rest of the contestants to just how big of a hand Heather's had in the previous eliminations, significantly the difficulty of the game for Heather moving forward.

BONUS ROUND cause I also have Thoughts for Heather and Owen lol

Heather

Ok so Heather being outwardly a bitch the second she stepped foot in Camp Wawanakwa was horrible strategy on her part and without her clutch immunity wins there's no way she would've made final 3 imo.

The thing that makes it worse it that there was a super easy fix from a writing perspective! Just have her be outwardly nice to the contestants and juxtapose it with scenes of her bitching in the confessionals and scheming with Noah and Lindsay so that the audience knows she's bad news while the contestants (bar Noah and Lindsay) are unaware of how much influence she's got over the game.

It'd also be pretty interesting for her to have a minor corruption arc in TDI with the power she has pre-Lindsay's elimination getting to her and making her an even worse person as the show goes on. I also think this would amplify her 3 season arc of going from regular bitchy girl with a solid strategic mind to the powerhouse hidden dictator of the game to the social pariah/exiled villain and eventually becoming an anti-hero after she mends some burned bridges and takes down Alejandro in the finale.

As for those burned bridges I just mentioned I can see her making nice with Leshawna, Harold, and Duncan in TDA cause even in canon the first person she properly connected with was Harold and Leshawna literally said "you can count me as a friend" in TDA. Duncan is a little more iffy cause he and Heather clash a lot but when they manage to work together they're a powerhouse and I think they'd be fun as frenemies at least.

Additionally, a possible reconciliation with Noah in TDWT where they team up against Alejandro cause 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' and their strategic collaboration evolves back into a tentative friendship before Noah's TDWT elimination would be very interesting and a nice bookend to their storyline from TDI along with making for a nice full circle moment for Heather to cap off her journey over the course of the show.

Owen

Now finally we have Owen. Owen is very interesting to me, he's a finalist (and the canonical winner of TDI to me) who never really got treated as a main character, he was well-liked by everyone but also managed to annoy everyone at least once, he received arguably one of the worst character assassinations in the show, and he was never treated as an actual threat in the game despite making it to the final of TDI and canonically being a fan favourite.

Personally, I think Owen could've still been a fun comic relief character but his social prowess should've been leaned into a lot more (literally the only character who hated him immediately upon meeting him was Alejandro from what I can remember) like he doesn't have to have a strategic mind to do well in the competition, he can be a huge social and physical threat (cause he canonically strong as fuck and basically immediately wins any eating challenge) and make it far with his friendships and a couple immunity wins post-merge.

Now I know that upping his social prowess might make the whole Al thing not make as much sense but I think it could be explained by just implying that Alejandro's very good at hiding his distaste for the nickname (his whole thing is that he's hiding behind a facade and refuses to show vulnerability so it checks out imo) and only having a couple of contestants (Noah, Heather, Lindsay, and possibly Eva) pick up on his distaste for the nickname. Owen on the other hand, is still a little naive in general and sometimes misses more subtle social cues.

ANYWAY!!

I hope this shit actually makes sense?? If not then sorry lol, I just have lots of thoughts abt this show and how the writing could've been improved.

Granted, I'm not really taking into account that Total Drama is literally a kids show when thinking abt how to improve the plot and I might be thinking too much abt the strategic portion of the show cause I've been watching a bunch of old-school Survivor and Big Brother recaps lmao

TLDR; Eva and Sadie should've had more presence and impact in TDI, Zeke should've been in TDA, TDWT should've been Noah and Katie's redemption moments with a side order of Eva cause I love her, Trent and Lindsay deserved proper storylines, Heather should've been less outwardly mean and needed more obstacles to make it clear how good at the game she actually is, and Owen should've been allowed to be a genuine social threat who can generally read people decently but occasionally struggles to see through facades (e.g. Heather, Alejandro).

massive post about all the changes i’m making in my season one rewrite of tdi! the fic i have for it is slow updating so i wanted to share everything here for yall to enjoy too! <3

i’ll be starting with teams and some swaps i made, then go through the characters in their elimination order!!!

the screaming gophers: heather, tyler, beth, noah, owen, eva, izzy, trent, lashawna, gwen, katie

the killer bass: courtney, bridgette, geoff, duncan, harold, sadie, lindsay, dj, ezekiel, justin, cody

as you see, i swapped two pairs of characters! (technically three since izzy is on the gophers but i kept sadie and katie on different teams!!)

eva and justin are swapped, as well as tyler and lindsay! i have good reasoning for it trust.

now for character changes! (in the order of elimination)

DJ: he doesn’t change too much! all that’s different is it’s him voted off after the first challenge instead of ezekiel. DJ and Courtney were the two in danger!

Justin: since Eva is now on Heather’s team, the queen bee chooses to take Justin out from the killer bass since she worries his charm will carry him too far. uses his fake eyelids cheating strategy to turn the bass against him after the awake-a-thon!

Beth: Heather still attempts to get Beth under her thumb, but without the presence of Lindsay to help make it somewhat enjoyable, Beth is simply not into it! she’s too annoying and unhelpful, so when Heather sees the resident genius (Noah) in danger of getting eliminated, she pulls some strings to get Beth off instead after the dodge brawl challenge!

Trent: Once again our villain is stepping in, since Heather is incredibly annoyed at the romance blooming between Trent and Gwen. due to her changed strategy in my rewrite, she decides getting rid of Trent would be more helpful, rather than Gwen. the gophers lose the talent show, and Heather gets everyone to vote for Trent since he had the lowest score!

Cody: During “the sucky outdoors,” Cody gets lost in the woods looking for Sadie after she disappeared from the group. he returns to camp late, and while he’s happy to see everyone is present and ok, he is promptly eliminated, since he was the reason his team lost.

Sadie: Everyone does relatively well for the phobia factor challenge, but the bass agree Sadie is too annoying and cowardly to stick around. Courtney narrowly avoids elimination due to Bridgette sticking up for her!

Tyler: Tyler was left to keep an eye on everyone’s boats and oars as the rest of his team did the fire starting challenge, but wasn’t paying enough attention. the oars get knocked off the boat by a fish and float downstream, costing the killer bass their win. he’s eliminated quickly after that!

Eva: although Heather was glad the powerhouse was on her team, it didn’t make Eva any less brutish or headache inducing. during the paintball challenge, Heather takes the chance to set Eva up, to make it look like she was attacking her own team. although a few teammates stick up for her, the majority vote her off when the screaming gophers lose.

Izzy: In the three part cooking challenge, Heather and Izzy are partnered up. fueled with a bit of rage due to Eva’s elimination and a normal amount of Izzy insanity, the redhead ends up locking Heather in the freezer for the majority of the challenge. because most of the competitors actually like Heather in this rewrite, they deem Izzy too unhinged and scary, and get her voted off when they lose. (yes she’s still being hunted down by the government as she flees the island)

Geoff: completely messes up the first challenge of rock climbing, mildly injuring duncan in the process. he tries to make up for it by being super encouraging, but ends up throwing his team off more than actually helping them. it’s a very sad goodbye for some, but party boy messed up one too many times.

Courtney: same as in canon, Harold rigs the votes against Courtney, wanting to mess with Duncan since the punk had constantly been bullying him. miss CIT goes kicking and screaming, leaving the majority of the killer bass angry about how she got eliminated. (Courtney takes on a much more motherly role, rather than a mean older sister. most of the killer bass actually respect her! even though they agree she can be very overbearing and stuck up)

Harold: due to the killer bass not fully believing Courtney was rightfully eliminated, Bridgette does some snooping and finds out Harold rigged the votes against her friend. he was shunned by most of the team for the challenge as well, so it was an easy move when the bass lost.

Merge: Eva and Trent are brought back! both were scorned and set up by Heather, so it makes sense for the show to bring them back, as Heather is still going pretty undetected as the villain. only Noah, Owen, and Lindsay know the truth at this point!

Noah: having secretly been working for Heather and her ploys for the first part of the show, Noah is simply tapping out once the merge hits, especially seeing as Eva is back. he lets himself fail and basically self eliminates after the extreme torture challenge. (after Heather saved Noah from elimination in the third challenge, he agrees to be her rat as long as she’ll keep him in the game so he won’t have to actually try. he stops working with her after she purposefully eliminates Eva AND Izzy, only warning Owen about what Heather’s actually like. the queen bee can almost respect it.)

Lindsay: with Harold gone and the merge in place, Duncan takes to picking on Ezekiel almost exclusively. Lindsay is simply fed up with everyone’s unruly behavior, and absolutely snaps and Heather AND Duncan. everyone is so flabbergasted by the sudden outburst they believe Heather’s story of Lindsay being the real villain, and vote the silly blonde off! (without the companionship of Beth on her team, Lindsay takes a liking to Ezekiel! being on the killer bass as well, she’s able to properly see Heather constantly not being a “Girls-Girl” as Lindsay calls it, and becomes her subtle rival throughout the season.)

Owen: my dude could simply not win the hide and seek challenge against Chef. he was found out quickly, and didn’t manage to help Chef capture anyone else in order to gain an advantage. this paired with how whiny he had been since noah left, and how strong of a social player he was, the gophers made a hard choice and eliminated him. (owen befriends team e-scope much earlier in this rewrite since they were all on the same team!)

Trent: not having immunity, and doing very little other than trying to impress Gwen/warn her about Heather was enough to annoy almost everyone. at this point people are getting suspicious about Heather, seeing as the cool musician and the angry girl seem to agree about her, but Trent is just so irritating!!! the girls make a pact to vote him off, especially since he was distracting Gwen so much.

Bridgette: unfortunately for my calm surfer girl, she was simply terrified throughout the serial killer challenge. while everyone else was simply unfazed or only a little frightened, she was almost a liability for how little she was willing to help out. due to her overwhelming fear and lack of help for everyone, she’s eliminated.

Eva: no matter how nice she tries to be, animals simply do not like her. so when the challenge was to find an animal and return it to camp, she kinda knew her time was up. she was the only camper to not return with any animal, leaving her eliminated without even needing a ceremony. she attempts to warm the girl alliance one last time about Heather before she’s shipped off yet again.

Duncan: in the challenge where the final six are divided into pairs, he gets stuck with Heather. Duncan being himself, is simply terrible to be handcuffed too, and while the girls are suspicious of Heather now, they believe her when she tells them how truly terrible it was. Duncan is gone for simply being an asshole.

Ezekiel: when Chris is talking to the eliminated campers about the final five, everyone starts rambling about how they never expected Ezekiel to make it past the first few challenges, let alone be in the final five! as they speak, each time they say his name, Chris begins counting them as votes for him to leave the island. when everyone realizes this, they start panicking and simply making it worse. Ezekiel is quickly snatched from the competition unfairly, leaving the final four.

Ms. Coconut: while the final four are seemingly stranded on an island, Katie goes a little nuts all by herself and befriends a coconut she names “Ms. Coconut,” who is eliminated in favor of not eliminating an actual competitor when revealed everyone technically failed the challenge.

Katie: split up into pairs again, Katie is paired with Lashawna, and they do pretty good! sadly not as good as Heather and Gwen, who beat them back to camp! Chef becomes the deciding factor for who gets eliminated, and he chooses Katie, claiming he felt Lashawna had a stronger chance at winning. understanding and excited to be reunited with Sadie after so long, Katie is gracefully eliminated.

Heather: same as in canon, she chickens out during Lindsay’s dare of shaving her hair off, getting her eliminated immediately from the final three, as she was the first to fail or chicken out of a challenge! (her whole head isn’t shaved, but she loses a good chuck of it! Heather very much plays up her likable side in this rewrite, and being on the gophers allows her to still be sarcastic and a little crude while still having others find her overall kind. she ropes Noah into an alliance early on, and after he stops helping her she starts slipping up and accidentally leaving others suspicious!”

and now… the winner revealed… althought you may have guessed it…

LASHAWNA!!!!

i stand by the fact she would’ve been a fantastic winner, and i love the idea of a “friendship finale” between two characters who are friends, but still give their all in the finale! Gwen simply couldn’t keep up with the determination Lashawna had to win, and was only a few feet behind when Lashawna crossed the finish line!

Also in the middle of one of his streams, tommy would literally turn to you who was laying on his bed and ask a stupid question

"Hey y/n, do you want anything to eat?"

"Not really, maybe later?"

"Alright then"

And he'll pay no mind to how fast chat was going and how they were asking questions

Overall, the fans would love you and Tommy's friendship :)

Chapter 2: Gone

Description: So... I know many Daminette fans don't like Damian being younger than Marinette so 🚨SPoiler AleRT 🚨 Damian is gonna be younger for a while but an event happens that gets their ages exchanged. (Sort of)

"Check the international news" Damian said appearing out of nowhere, Marinette nodded switching her tabs to international news

"What the fuck is that?" Chloe asked pointing at the phone

Boy... the world was in for a life changing ride.

"It's a spaceship" Marinette answered listening carefully at the reporter "In New York"

"Should we help or something?" Chloe asked

"No, the Avengers seem to have it under control, besides I think the adults will take care of it." Tim reassured "I don't think there's any of anything to worry about this literally happens all the Time!"

"For once, Drake is right I don't think we should waste our time on this." Damien added

"I guess..." Marinette nodded hesitantly but deep down,  something told her that something bad was gonna happen.

"Why is it donut shaped?" Chloe asked as Damian facepalmed.

"So are you dating Damian or Tim?"

Marinette choked on her water as Chloe burst into laughter. The rest just stared unable to understand what was so funny.

"What's so funny?" Tim walked towards them voicing everyone's thoughts

"Is that coffee?" Marinette interrupted, eyes shining at the cup in Tim's hand

"Yes..." he said, narrowing his eyes

"Please gimme" Marinette very 'kindly' requested. now, she had this look that clearly said 'if you dare deny my wishes, you're totally dead'

The entire group of friends 'ooh'ed and "ahhh"ed but Tim wasn't gonna back down.

"Oh, you want this?" Tim asked waving the cup around

"Mmm-hmm, weren't you saying that Chivalry isn't dead? You can prove that by handing me the cup" Marinette smiled cunningly.

"Hmm you're right" Tim nodded taking a sip before spitting it back in and handing it to her, bowing "sorry, I had to check if it was sweet enough for my lady"

The boys in the group howled and whistled, Marinette looked at him in absolute disgust "This is why I won't date you"

"I never asked you on a date" Tim smirked "And I have a girlfriend so.."

"Ugh, I swear I threw up a bit and swallowed it" a red haired girl named Margret gagged.

"Same here" Chloe scrunched her nose

The loud laughter soon died down, it turned Into hushed conversations about the spaceship in New York

"Do you think we're are gonna die?!"

"No" Tim denied "It left earth long ago so...No."

"What do you think it didn't destruct the world like all the other times?"

"maybe they just wanted to plant so they could regroup food for the rest of their planet?"

"Could be" Marinette giggled as the bell rang signaling the end of the lunch break "meet you guys at the lockers after school?" Everyone agreed, waving goodbye to each other.

School ended pretty fast, some teachers even gave updates about the spacecraft, which was long gone and there wasn't anything to worry about. "Schools officially done" Chloe yawned "Now I gonna go to the manor, take a nice warm bath and have my beauty sleep"

"Yeah, today was weirdly boring and tiring, being head boy sucks!"

"Speak for yourself" Chloe snorted "at least you don't have to keep dancing saying 'Go Gothamites!' "

"I don't know today seemed pretty fun" Marinette smiled

"everyday is fun for you." Tim and Chloe deadpanned

"Hey losers." Damian said walking towards them with no emotions...as usual "Except for you angel you're an absolute win-win." Damian remarked, sending her finger guns

"Oh great! Now I have to listen to his unbearable flirting!" Tim threw his hands up in frustration

Marinette sighed "here they go. Again." Before any of them could speak a black limo pulled up in front of them, the window rolled open revealing Jason wearing sunglasses.

"Get in losers, we're going shop- I mean, home!".

Damian rolled his eyes "Why are you wearing sunglasses in a car with black tinted glasses?"

"Where's Alfred? He usually comes to pick us up." Marinette asked making herself comfortable in the car "We thought we'd give you a ride" Dick smiled at her "how was school?"

"Fine" Damian answered "what about the alien spacecraft?"

"Gone" Jason informed "with Iron guy, spider guy and another guy."

"Another guy?" Chloe asked

"Some wizard. don't worry, justice league is already searching for them" Dick smiled again "you guys want to buy anything-"

"Coffee!" Tim and Marinette yelled in unison interrupting the old robin

"-except something you're addicted to like coffee, nail polish or katanas and bloody murder?" Dick blinked at them

"No" all of the huffed

"Awwwwww you kids are so cute!" Jason gushed before leaning back to ruffle their hair

"God! what is hell is wrong with you? it took me so much time to get this perfect hair!"

"Jason I swear to God no more croissants for a month"

"Dude, what the fuck?!"

"Touch me again Todd, I will chop your fingers off."

"You still think they're cute?" Dick asked

Marinette slumped against the soft mattress at Wayne manor relaxing herself the doors suddenly opened and a monkey barged in, jumping on her. And as monkey she meant Stephanie Brown

"Lets do something funnnnnnnn!"

"Steph I'm sorry, I'm tired. go hangout with you're boyfriend." Marinette whined, pushing her off.

"But whyyyy?"

"I'm tired Steph and why are you acting like a kid?, you have a boyfriend. Go make out with him or something"

"But Timmy is busy" she whined

A knock on the door interrupted Marinette "come in."

The door pushed open and Titus ran in jumping on the bed and licking Marinette's face "Titus!" She laughed "Good boy"

"Dinners ready" Damian said from the door way.

"We'll be there" Marinette smiled

"Where my affection when I need it?" The blonde next to Marinette asked to no one in particular, before standing up and walking towards the Damian "lets go! For a delicious dinner awaits us"

Marinette, Stephanie and Damian entered the dining room together, where everyone was seated laughing and talking. "Hey kids" Selina smiled a glass of water in her hands "didn't get to see you all day."

"Yeah" Marinette smiled taking the empty seat between Chloe and Dick, she looked around at the wonderful sight, a year ago Marinette would have never believed that she would be living at Wayne manor, eating mashed potatoes with them. "You okay?" Chloe asked

"I'm fine." Marinette smiled before remembering "Bruce? What-"

"Uh...guys?!" Cassandra's panicked voice exclaimed, everyone snapped their heads towards her fading hand. "Oh God" Dick gasped as he too started fading away

"Bruce" Selina called before completely fading out. The same happened to Steph, Cass, Chloe, Alfred, Dick, Duke, Kate and lastly...

Marinette.

That day, Half the world was wiped out because of the infinity stones.

Never to return ever again.
