I wanted to make some Mario characters in the style of the Sonic Teams I did a few years ago. They were a lot of fun to make, and I'll probably get around to make some more soon.

Siiighs.... here's Crumb's official little design page thing after a few days of rotating them. They are wearing generic clothes in the second image (and doodles) so i can show off their weird limbs. Not quite just human anymore but also nowhere close to divine. Warped by the rift into something they can't recognize as themselves- at least not yet.

so for obvious reasons, rye is not generally all that popular with most of the senior watchers. however. I think there is a certain type of younger watcher to whom he is The ultimate hot badboy icon and fantasy. (we're talking about a group of extreme indoor kid goth nerds who've barely been outside. it doesn't take a lot ot achieve bad boy status in this context and the only thing in this world that lasts forever is a bad reputation in a small insular group like the watchers.) it's SO funny because rye thinks of himself as such a disappointing fuckup of a son of the grand necropolis. and meanwhile there are novices kicking their feet and giggling as they're like

'Ingellvar is so cool. no one knows where he's from he was found down here as a baby. mysterious orphan appeal. he could be a secret dalish prince or something for all we know. (*annoyed extra nerd watcher novice voice*: umm actually the dalish don't have princes, merrivar?? read a real book sometime maybe???) he's a rebel. he doesn't care what the senior watchers think no time for politics he just gets the job done. (*small sad rye voice* I care a lot what the senior watchers think actually. a pathetic amount, in fact. it just rarely seems like it helps anything at all) I heard he graduated almost top of his class even though he spent all his time as a student partying up in the city and having a torrid affair with the son of a noble family. sometimes in his spare time he wears a cool punk leather jacket but like the fantasy version of that. he has tattoos apparently but no one's seen them for years. yuh-uh it's true too, I know someone who knows someone he dated once. they say he saw a knife fight once. like, in a bar brawl, with living people. all that, and he's even sneakily emotionally unavailable. *starry-eyed sigh* what a dreamboat'.

needless to say this only grows worse with the events of the game, after he takes out the formless one and rumours start to spread that he maybe killed a god or something too???? and this being nevarra, more importantly he's out there killing dragons with his sworn companions?? like a fucking fairytale prince but with that devil-may-care rebellious streak???? he's the safely unavailable first crush at a distance of many a young watcher. now imagine the reaction when he shows up home for the first time in a year after the war of the banners accompanied by The one true bad boy fantasy to rule them all: literally the sad brooding crown prince of the crows of antiva in leather pants who has WINGS and a dark tortured side of his nature that he has to constantly battle against for the sake of those he loves.

(the perception vs. reality situation for both of these characterizations is. so unspeakably hilarious needless to say. consider how much of the above lucanis characterization is accurate to the person he actually is and then you've basically found the level of distortion lens being applied to rye as well. is most of it technically true? sure. 'technically' is having to do a whole world of heavy lifting there tho fhdfska)

what I'm really saying here is that there is a subsection of this group that's been ferociously writing rye/lucanis rpf from the moment they were seen trotting down into the necropolis depths together (other pairings within the lighthouse gang as a whole, caught in tantalizing glimpses as they visit the necropolis, of course having their own devotees), and when this fandom subgroup eventually discover they were right it's with all the insane glee of a sixteen year old fanfic writer on wattpad (is that still where the kids are these days. idk i'm getting old folks) finding out that their dark mafia prince AU is basically true. varric might be gone but the legacy of friendfiction lives on after him. the king of thedas rpf being the shoulders of titans that young watchers are standing on to write fevered WILDLY inaccurate depictions of the private life of two of the most low-key domestic quietly devoted and undramatic people on the continent, one of them being varric's own poor little meow meow slash mentee, is something that can actually be so personal. rye does not end up terribly famous in the end considering the shit he manages to get done in this game, and he thanks his lucky stars for it. but to a tight-knit community of mourn watch fic writers he is blorbo from my apocalypse. it's all I could have wished for him.

I'm very proud of how this turned out. I haven't done a full piece like this in ages, and I think it's really stretched my creative muscles, especially with attempting a new artstyle-- or at least, an elaborated version of my current one. Kind feedback would be much appreciated!

I've been so afraid to make something unoriginal lately that making anything has been exhausting, uninspiring, and all around unpleasant. this was a nice change of pace! I did a few landscape studies from life a couple months back, and I think that built a foundation that was incredibly helpful while making this.

I know this is a lot of text for a redraw of the anime, but this was actually quite a big step for me in my artistic journey, I think. hope you guys enjoy! :)

[Champion of Kirkwall, Bautista Hawke]

Reintroducing my silly Hawke for my current world state. He's a mage and his specializations are Spirit Healer and Blood Mage (that's later in Act 3 and late Act 2). He's also romancing Anders, he does help around his clinic. Bautista is very friendly and a ray of sunshine, he's very enthusiastic about magic and the fade. He is very sweet and would do anything and everything for his friends and family.

Glisten was a DHMIS OC before Dandy's World was a thing, right?

HC'ing that Glisten's 'teacher' role would've been something along the lines of friendship / fitting in for the gang? Something similar to a mix of the Love episode from the webseries and Jobs and Family from the TV show (Having a community of people who care about you + fitting into an environment or mold or dynamic) - a whole bunch of Yada Yada about 'this stuff makes you likeable and this stuff doesn't!!!' and 'look at all of MY friends, aren't I popular, isn't it fun being liked by people?? Don't you want to fit in with us??'

I'm uh. NOT REALLY GOOD WITH GORE PLACEMENT SO IDK WHERE IT WOULD FIT INTO THE EPISODE IF IT WOULD EXIST?? There's almost always some gore element to the episodes- But yeah basically he is the epitome of toxic friendships / being toxic to yourself by forcing yourself into a little perfect box so that others like you. And then a lot of his Oh Shoot™️ moment that most Teachers seem to have would be breaking down from that 'perfect little box' in front of the main cast.

Anywayyyys. Red Guy is unintentionally the most popular of the bunch, Duck is constantly peeved that people aren't 'respecting' him by being his friend and is trying to steal Red's thunder, and Yellow is just. Barely even trying to fit in the whole time, he mainly wants to do his own thing.

And then that probably gets him sucked into seeing Glisten's REALLY BAD Oh Shoot™️ mental break moment from questioning why and how Yellow is still perfectly happy doing his own thing and just liking his own little group of the ✨️Three Of Us✨️ instead of a huge group of 'friends,' and then questioning why he himself is even doing all of that acting for a group of people in the first place (maybe in the episode his group of 'friends' are the ones who get attached to Red and ditch him? As a show and tell for how these types of people are just. Awful. And they latch onto Red because he's the latest thing that's caught their eyes and Glisten is old news. Just a dusty mirror. And for the rest of the episode after this happens, he's trying to get himself back to being the star of the show and potentially attempting to recruit Yellow to help him do it).

Anyways there's some brainrot for all of us fine Dandy's World / Don't Hug Me I'm Scared fans on this fine Thursday the 12th, because I have been thinking about this non-stop since I found out about this fact.

6. 💝 What is each person’s love language (words of affirmation, acts of service, giving gifts, quality time, and physical touch)?

ouuugh. kirby, little guy is basically made out of love, isn't he?! his foremost love language is probably quality time, and perhaps words of affirmation. what he is doing all day every day is acts of service; saving everyone, rescuing kittens waddle dees stuck in trees, that sort of thing. but when he's on his own time it's all about going slow and experiencing things with the person he's with.

kirby strikes me as someone who'd be good at and very much enjoy planning surprises for his loved ones. sometimes even incredibly simple seeming things-- like swooping by on the warp star to pick starstruck up just when she can't get to sleep in the early morning-- but it's always exactly what the other person wants. kirby is incredibly busy, and he loves a lot of people!! i think he puts his all into each free moment and every chosen interaction he has. any time with him is precious and means a lot!

i think for him and starstruck, this would probably result in her boundless enthusiasm for every little thing he does. she'd be an outpouring of gratitude and delight and affection for him that in turn helps him feel the time was meaningfully spent for both of them.

9. 👀 What do other characters think of their relationship? Do they approve or disapprove?

frankly i think that the other three would be roasting the ever-loving fuck out of meta knight for this.

anyway they'd of course be so supportive outside of that and wouldn't care at all!!! 🤣 i don't think any of them are judgemental about that sort of thing except perhaps meta knight himself, so 😂
