Now I know this change is sudden... Why the new sona? Why the new name??? WHY THE NEW BANNER??? THE ICON???

Don't worry! I'm still the same old paperbag!

Speaking of the name, I never really liked the name "Anonymous-Paperbag".... It felt too long and didn't really feel like me. Not to mention that my sona (at the time) was a bit bland (I didn't even color it!) Tbh the only reason that I named myself "Anonymous Paperbag" was so that I can remain "anonymous", plus I put myself in a paperbag too so double the anonymity (what a silly word! "Anonymity". Try to say that five times fast.)

At the time, I was TERRIFIED of being online. I've had some not-so-great experiences online before, with some people stealing my ocs and people just overall being creepy :(

Thankfully, I had a very great person IRL who kinda gently nudged me into sharing my art online again! Thank you @adeadcreator for believing in me!! You're the absolute greatest!!!

I also wanna thank @pixiepixells and @catlover4536, two of my first followers! (i honestly got so surprised having followers for the first time! Wowie! People who like my art???) You two have been just terrific first fans who gave me the motivation to push my art!

And ofc, I wanna thank @dottyorange, who has been a terrific friend since the very beginning! And to @hazile who has been so kind and so enthusiastic! Seriously, I am proud of you both!

And how can I forget the 500 of you folks???? SERIOUSLY??? 500???? thats a lot of people. I would LOVE to thank you all individually but I'll be writing all day lmao. BUT I WILL SAY THIS. Thank you for pushing my art to the fullest! While I am still learning, I don't think I ever would've done digital art if it weren't for you online folks.

Even though I like the idea of Kirby talking I really adore how Kirby is a silent protagonist bc like ?? YEAHHH tbh i love kirby both ways, both him talking and being silent fit him very well (imo at least??!!) so by extension i just like to imagine he talks occasionally but other times he just doesnt really feel like it so he won't say much or anything

i think kirby would be way too nice for that though fhgdkfg he's a very unassuming character and just wants the best for everyone and to help no matter what; i personally think even if magolor seemed really obviously suspicious, like when he yells at you, kirby might say something like "are you feeling okay you seem a bit off :( " i think the novel does an exceptionally good job at portraying this !!! bc they make kirby naive and very good-hearted but also notably picking up on important things

I kept telling myself I was gonna come back to my Selene liveblog of BG3, and then I kept not doing that. But I've had this entire week off work, and I'm feeling relaxed, so let's see if I can finish out what I've played of the game with her thus far :)

When at last they find their way out of the crypt within the ruin, Shadowheart stops, crosses her arms, and demands, "Selene, wait."

Selene - more interested in a campsite than an argument - turns, winces as her wounds pull in unpleasant ways, and grinds out, "What?"

Shadowheart scowls. "Don't take that tone with me like everything you're feeling isn't your own fault. Ever since I've met you, you've picked one fight after another. Bad enough on the Nautloid when we had that gith helping us. But here, since the beach, it's just been us."

Selene matches her scowl. "So I should let bandits get themselves killed - or worse, converted? I should let them desecrate a site devoted to one of the gods - even one with few followers left among the living?"

"That's not-" Shadowheart begins, but Selene is in pain and out of patience.

"If you intend to question my every action, perhaps you'd rather find another to ally yourself with?" she snaps.

"Yes!" Shadowheart answers. "Yes, that's it exactly. We cannot keep bludgeoning our way headlong through everything the region has to throw at us. You feel it, don't you?"

Selene's shoulders drop, and she murmurs a quiet, "... yes."

"If not allies, then at least let's try to find someone who- what?" Shadowheart pauses in the middle of her rant at the realization that Selene has agreed with her.

"Yes," Selene says again. Because Shadowheart is right. Mere days ago, nothing she's faced thus far would have given her pause. But now, they're both battered beyond anything Selene has experienced in a long time. Or at least, no threat this modest has had her feeling this run over in... longer than she can entirely remember. "You're right. It's time for a change. Seeking allies, avoiding conflict."

"Well..." Shadowheart hesitates a moment longer, and in that moment, Selene stumbles away in the direction of their campsite. With a quiet, "Good," Shadowheart follows.

They spend the rest of the day recovering at their campsite,

and as the sun sets, Shadowheart helps Selene back to her feet so they can finish preparing for the night's rest. As they work, Shadowheart, pauses long enough to ask,

"How do you feel?"

It takes Selene a moment to consider this question, first within the context of the day - a bit run over - and then within the context Shadowheart really means to discuss: we're infected by Illithid tadpoles.

"Fine," she answers slowly. "Much better than I thought I would, given the circumstances."

"Yes, me as well," Shadowheart agrees. "Besides the occasional mental exchange, it's almost as if we're not infected. I feel... good. Its so strange..." With an urgency, almost an eagerness, she continues: "Do you remember the voice? Aboard the ship?"

Selene contemplates the question for a moment. In a way, it feels almost like too much has happened since the Nautloid, but: "It's been hard to forget."

"The voice said I'd become a 'beautiful weapon.' What do you think that means?"

It's an odd turn of phrase, Selene has to agree, but one to which she can somewhat relate. "Sounds like it had plans for us," she answers dryly. Wouldn't be the first time, she muses to herself.

"Whatever they were, those plans were interrupted by the dragons," Shadowheart says. "Either way, we can't take the lack of symptoms for granted. We have to find a healer. Well, I've said my piece. Get some rest."

It's the second night in a row that Shadowheart has brought up the need for a healer, almost as if she believes Selene has forgotten, or does not share her urgency. She does... but she also can't deny that her behavior to this point has left something to be desired. She's still getting used to needing to rely on others again. When the morning comes, she'll slow down a bit... maybe listen to Shadowheart's misgivings.

And with any luck, perhaps they'll find allies. It's a good plan, if they can manage. And with that, Selene drifts off to sleep.

so my younger cousin is flying in to visit from brazil on sunday, and will be staying here for like, the entirety of july. which, don't get me wrong, is super cool! i love the kid! but it felt like a super weird move, considering his parents are the SUPER strict and borderline helicopter parents. even the smallest prank/roughousing with him/his little sister would lead to a strict talking to from his parents, he couldn't ever do anything without their clear permission, that sort of stuff. so letting him fly at alone at 16 to a whole different country and stay there for a whole month seemed WILDLY out of character. additionally, it just felt like a super last-minute trip. it's not like we have any plans to do when he gets here, and the flight itself and stuff only got booked like, midway through june.

and i was talking to my mom about it, kind of trying to nudge some answers out of her, and after a while she went, "yeah, i think they're sending him over here to get away for his boyfriend. see if the distance breaks them off." which, first of all, surprised me because last i checked, they didn't KNOW he had a boyfriend. literally everyone in the family did EXCEPT for them because while that entire side of the family being semi-conservative, his parents (mostly his dad) are EXTREMELY old-fashioned. so clearly something already went wrong. and considering the only reason the rest of the family knew is because one person found out and it spread like wildfire, i have a sneaking suspicion he wasn't the one to tell them, either.

and second of all. they're sending him HERE. to try to make him forget his homosexuality. i couldn't do anything but just wordlessly gesture to the multiple pride flags scattered around my room, then to myself, because really? he has like two other cousins in the us and they're sending him to me? honey i am about to introduce this kid to queer scenes you have never even heard of. he'll be returning home with labels only shrimp can perceive

I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

the long way down job is such an important turning point in eliot & parker’s relationship bc they’d both been viewing the things they have in common as fairly negative: they’ve both been told that they’re cold and ruthless and dangerous and they know those things are true. so when they’ve recognised themselves in each other, it’s been a sense of "the thing that’s wrong with me is a lot like the thing that’s wrong with you". and there’s comfort in that, in a way. but now eliot gets parker to see that maybe those aren’t all negative traits, they’re just… traits. neutral. it doesn’t make them bad or good, it makes them who they are. and now when they see themselves reflected in each other, it’s not a reminder that they’re wrong and bad - it’s kinship, it’s familiarity, it’s belonging.

BFDI Theory: The Unluckiest Number

Or story starts the video "X Finds Out His Value" at 3:27

Four and X have just figured out that X's value is 7, leading them and Seven to have a little dance party sort of thing. But after X proudly proclaims his value, 7, Four adds that "It's lucky too!"

And we get some less than happy faces from the peanut gallery. One and Three standing beside each other to form the infamous unlucky number 13. In fact, 13 is kind of an interesting number when it comes to Algebraliens.

This is the BFDI Wiki's list of every Algebralien (That is a rational number), notice anything? That's right! 13 isn't there! And this list doesn't leave any number out if it can help it. Eleven, Twelve and Sixteen have never had any significant role in any skit or episode. Thirteen is missing from the official roster of numbers.

Also as a "Sans is a near anagram for Ness" level detail: TPOT 13 is when One herself says "Entree over. Now onto the main course." and as the line suggests, is when One picks up the pace in terms of intervening in TPOT.

I believe that the number 13 is not just unlucky in a superstitious sense, but also if any Algebralien were to become Thirteen the result would be catastrophic, bringing bad luck wherever they went. And that's exactly what One and Three did.

In the first episode of TPOT Winner asks, on the topic of prime numbers, "Are those, like, illegal where you're from?". And while they're obviously not this could be foreshadowing that there is a specific prime number that IS illegal, due to, y'know, bad-luck related catastrophe.

I don't just believe this explains why there's no Thirteen, but I also believe this is why One and Three are where they are.

In the video "Thanks for 2,000,000 Subscribers!" we get a good look at the law enforcement system on Algebralien society, mainly that there is none. There are no police, possibly no government. Any sort of jail sentence or punishment for crime is carried out by the community as a whole. We see this with Fourteens punishment, he's not arrested by police, he's apprehended by his neighbors who seem to hold no special status of any kind.

Now, if we put our heads together maybe we can think of any Algebraliens that are locked in a cell, presumably, by other Algebraliens. I think at one point both One and Three were kept in cells, but as of now only Three remains imprisoned.

Many have speculated that Three closing their own cell is telling that they wish to finish their sentence due to the guilt of their actions, and I agree, and I think those actions were them being one half of the duo known as Thirteen. (One half of 13 is 3, you heard it here first folks!.)

But One is a lot more bold. They're not content with being held down or people having more power than them. Being a part of Thirteen came with it this great power which they wish to return to. And besides, as long as someone is staffing their jail cell, that's just one more person to manipulate.

But who did she manipulate? The answer may surprise you, but it also may not, I don't know how many people actually watched the subscriber milestone videos.

In the video "Thanks for 1,000,000 subscribers!" at 7:50, we see Seven say this:

Seven considers One to be their BFF, presumably standing for "Best Friend Forever". Now, Seven as a character has been consistently portrayed as having no friends at all. In the song "Counting on Christmas" sung by the Algebraliens, Seven explicitly states that they "really, really, really want some friends".

Seven is sort of the black sheep of the community, though still, they ARE part of the community. As such, they are also part of the group that decides who is to be in jail, and who is to be free. And if all it takes is the promise of friendship then One escaping that cell was well within her range of capabilities. Who knows, maybe the friendship was in some way genuine, but the end result is the same, Seven let One free and even now sees nothing wrong with their friendship.

So that leaves us with this. One is actively trying to free Three, but Three is still patiently waiting in their cell for their lawful sentence to expire. Which... is kinda what everyone has been saying already, yeah, I'm not exactly the first to theorize that One is trying to free Three. What I am doing however, is laying out how I believe all these puzzle pieces fit together.
